pray with me church lord once again we come to you in faith believing loving and honoring you lord today god of glory we came into this room a while ago lord hungry and thirsty for you we have sung the songs of zion lord we have heard testimony god of your goodness we've honored lord and prayed we have reached to you right now lord we need to hear from you we need you lord to speak into our lives one more time lord i make myself available to you i am nothing without you lord all of my righteousnesses are as filthy rags i must have you today let your glory lord breathe into the lives of precious men and women and children that will hunger and thirst for you bless those online watching go to them right now lord let angels be dispatched to go to them we honor you and we love you today that they pay attention to pastor today can y'all help me with that that doesn't come with spit wads across the room to wake them up she'll make sure they're listening today i early this morning sat in my office and i was so compelled our back to school prayer today over our kids i think sometimes we miss the power in that the purpose if you will so i want our kids our school-aged kids to know something pastor loves you and i'm fighting for you amen that all right mom and dad you don't have to love your kids if you don't want to but i'm going to i'm going to believe in them god's doing good things amen we are together again at the end of a hot summer you may notice this week temperatures are going to be in the 80s yeah my wife and i are so sad we love the heat but it'll be nice to sit on the back porch not sweat to death i do have a fan out there but here we are another season changes and we are headed back to school come on let's just give the lord thanks for back to school there are ain't no kids clapping no child's clapping that's hard to believe it means different things of course to everybody right to a parent with children at home kids sleeping late and making noise all day to that parent you're ready to say can i get a little order and peace in my home some of you gluttons for punishment are like i'm going to homeschool them and it's never going to end yeah i get it to the student who is uh lacking the required routine and schedule that get you up early and get you acclimated to treating other people kindly you're looking forward to going back to school i know you are there's so many things that happen in a school environment a classroom environment i'm not saying it's all good i'm simply saying there's a lot that happens you know i learned a lot of lessons on the playground at school i did i learned that i wasn't always going to be the first one up the monkey bars and the older i got i realized that i didn't want to be on the monkey bars and today i think i know what a monkey bar is but y'all for you older folk out there seasoned folk would you help me you ready ready school day school day sing dear old golden rule days reading all to the tune of a hickory stick i don't know everybody kind of quits there right school days yeah everybody's like never heard it yeah you got to go back and youtube it later right back to school is another season of change we found out just a moment ago that there were some kids that advance another change coming on the empty nester it simply means a change in traffic patterns oh lord kids are back in school you got 19 buses to wait behind you know to the grandparent it means that the plays the programs the cookies and the sales of cookies and all the fundraising and all that stuff you get to do all that over again i realize that the changes come ever so slightly i mentioned it just a moment ago some of y'all are holding little babies today man you blink and here they go they're off and running and things happen and life happens and and you roll over and wake up the next day and and they're out of your house and often doing their own thing and got you know what i'm saying things change i realize that changes come very slightly but the truth is i'm sure that most of you in here that are involved in classes or going back to school you realize that that something is going to change listen to them carefully this this week you guys are going to send your kids back to school and i can almost guaran i might be wrong i'm part of this but i think i can almost guarantee that you're going to send your kids back to school and the first question you're going to ask them when they come home after their first day or so is when is your next break and you're trying as parents you're trying to make plans for i mean i never had a fall break anybody older folk you know you had spring break christmas break and summer now they got fall break and just in case break and the other kind of break and then they're all broke and now they gotta you understand it and then and then somebody's gonna come back in another week or so and when's christmas break again trying to make our plans yeah and then okay when's the summer break and spring break again we got to make sure we get this in the cycle we live in as as parents and as children going to school we we want to know the routine we want to understand the system y'all y'all hang on to pastor for men today we have prayed over our students earlier today in this service we prayed the hand of the lord upon them we prayed that they would they would be protected in our school systems how many realize the the older we get things are going on in the school that ought not be there i don't mind saying i have a daughter that teaches in a school and when i hear news of of a school shooting or as my heart pauses and i'm lord don't oh please god protect those you understand i'm saying i never never realized how necessary it was to lean on god praying over your children as they leave the house mom and dad that's a great great thing to do today as we prayed for our teachers and our workers we pray that god gives them wisdom god helps them throughout the choices and decisions listen not every decision is life changing but every decision changes a life because you're going to have to decide as a teacher how do you invest in this child when they're not getting any help at home what do you do when they're living such a rough life you understand i'm talking about workers in the school system things have changed by the way the world has changed by how things have developed in the culture it's not always better it's not always worse it is simply simple change fact is is change has to be addressed when it comes these kids that are moving up to another class they'll need to understand the differences you know when you're a ninth grader in high school that's probably the worst year ever agreed but man when you're a junior it's excellent because when you're a senior in high school they ain't nothing matters you know i i tell some of these kids today man when i was a senior in school i had to go till lunch time and then i was out but my first block class my teacher would say anybody feel like you're driving the hardee's for biscuit this morning that was back in the day and she'd give me money i'd get in my car and i'd go to hardy's and get everybody biscuit bring it back my second class was more challenging it was the wrestling coach no i didn't wrestle what's wrong with y'all he was the math teacher too i was the only senior in the class man that was the only senior all these freshmen it was freshman math he said why are you in here i said well they claim i have to have this to graduate he said good i need you to go to mcdonald's for me i'm like another route come on now different world we live in today isn't it i want to speak for just a few moments today to the students mom and dad help me for the next few minutes as i talk to the students parents parents i want you to listen i want you to take note as pastor i want to declare today that there are principles that our children need to understand as they go to school notice what the bible says i'm going to read this and i know most of you probably know this and have it memorized the book of proverbs chapter 22. notice what it says a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches loving favor rather than silver and gold verse two the rich and the poor meet together the lord is the maker of them all verse three a prudent man foreseeth the evil hideth himself but the simple pass on and are punished verse 4 by humility and fear of the lord our riches and honor in life verse 5 thorns snares are the way of the forward he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them verse 6 is the one we all know train up a child the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it the psalm the proverbs the wise guys writing here solomon wrote he said that a good name is better than riches a good representation is better than all the gold or the silver that you can imagine as the author pinned the words of instruction he he was letting folk to realize that if you're a good person a good name you will have more value in earth than those who are wealthy or have all the money to spend because i as as one person on planet earth today i would rather be around somebody that's just good folk because i don't know a lot of folk that have more money than they got since i hear tell they're out there now maybe y'all walk in that realm but i i i don't see it i don't understand it but i know good people because who you are determines how you've been raised what's been planted what's been put in you and how you've become as an adult somebody say train up a child when people are not looking that's who you are the choices you make that your name stake that stands and no matter what everybody else says you've established yourself upon a series of principles and morals that have been given to you your name is worth something who you represent is worth something i want to tell these kids today listen carefully protect your name and protect the name that you stand for realize that no matter what others say they may ridicule you they may make fun of you they may look down to you but you understand something you stand for something much greater than they possibly could listen young person when you're in that classroom and things are tough and tight and wonder what's going to happen you know there's somebody at your family in church that's praying for you that's already pled the blood of jesus over you why because we realize that your name is valuable you need to be somebody that god can look to and say i trust you with my spirit solomon everybody heard of him we know specifically that he's writing here in this particular proverb about the instruction of children and this is how he says that he says train up a child in the way that he should go there's a process there's something that's happening here but i want to take you back if you'll give me just a moment the word train here if you were to go into your bible and do a research it's not simply the instruction of saying this is how and this is how you don't this is right this is not right it's more than simply that in fact when you look at it the the word train here if you translate it the the original was catechize and because of that when you understand the word catechize that was the word here for train it means this it means the repetitive questions and answers so what the bible here what the psalm what the what the writer solomon is writing here is he is saying parents you categorize you ask your children questions and you require a response from them now listen carefully some of you parents are very lucky to get a word edgewise out of your child agreed how was your day what'd you learn today how'd it go today hmm you want to go eat yes now wait a minute why did i only get a yes there the rest were grunts listen to me carefully according to the the dictionary meaning of categorize it simply means this it's like a catechism if you will a set of moral issues taught and repeated in oral instruction as parents listen carefully mom and dad listen to me children parents you have to continuously and consistently teach and instruct your children in the ways of god you cannot simply hope that somehow they get it through osmosis now i realize some of you students out there you have learned the art of osmosis you know when you've got your material laying in front of you and you're supposed to be reading those chapters and some of you are very good at osmosis you you simply lay your head on it i'm trying to get it to come through it ain't it ain't katy thinking that it works that way but it doesn't i know some of y'all gonna try that i wonder if mom knows i'm sleeping here the bible is more than just a good books and a reference of history it has got to be embedded into the hearts and the minds of our children so that when they get older that a point they'll have it as a point of reference in the lost world in which they are living listen to me there is something about the teaching if you continue your study through that word train catechism you'll understand that it gives reference to this deuteronomy chapter 6. now these are the commandments the statutes the judgments which the lord your god commanded to teach you listen that ye might do them in the land whether ye go to possess him that thou mightest hear it fear the lord thy god to keep all his statutes and his commandments which i command thee thou thy son and thy son sons all the days of our life and that thy days may be prolonged hear therefore o israel and observe to do it that it may be well with thee and that you may increase mightily as the lord god of thy fathers hath promised thee in the land that floweth with milk and honey for hear o israel the lord our god is one lord and thou shalt love the lord thy god with all thine heart with all thy soul with all thy might and these words hear this which i command thee this day shalt be in thine heart thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house when thou walkest in the way when thy lie is down when they'll rise this up what god was specifically instructing moses at this point was you need to make sure that you repeat this to them every single day don't you dare let them climb out of bed in the morning take off on their daily excursion without going over one more time hear o israel the lord our god is one lord you better teach them the commandments you better let them know moses that there's going to come a time that they're going to have to make some choices because i won't be there with them in person there will not be time to go to the tabernacle they're going to have to make choices when they go into the land that flows with milk and honey there's going to be other gods there and if they don't trust the true god they're going to start following after the gods of humanity what god was instructing is the same thing that i paused today to remind you as parents your children are not going to be perfect kids they're going to make mistakes yes they are but i've come to tell somebody when you repeat things to them in the word of god there is something that is embedded within their mind within their heart it has got to be repeated time and again let me help you mom and dad why don't you spend time with your children when they get out of bed who loves you baby jesus loves me why does he love you because he loves me because of who i am how do you know he loves you because his name is on me because you're praying for me come on repeat it to them let them realize there's more to serving god than a monday through saturday mentality but it's got to be through the good times god's in control in the bad times he's still on my side when nobody else gets it i'm still going to trust in the name of the lord this is not the day mom and dad to go left and right but you keep repeating it to your children i loved you i'm going to love you i'm going to pray for you i'm going to believe in you you're going to make a difference in this world on this sunday service i've come to remind somebody you need to tell them deuteronomy 6 and 4 as often as you can hear o israel the lord our god is one lord thou shalt love the lord thy god with all thine heart with all thy soul with all thy might come on bringing lamentations to him once in a while 322 it is of the lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not they are new every morning great is thy faithfulness first john 4 19 we love him because he first loved us you need to repeat that hey i've come to tell somebody on this sunday afternoon they need to know now when they heard this in the book of acts they were pricked in their heart and said unto peter and to the rest of the apostles men and brethren what shall we do peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost for the promises unto you to your children to all that are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call mom and dad it's worth repeating it's worth repeating train up a child do it on purpose make it a decision there is nothing wrong with your children memorizing scripture there are some of you that are at a point where your child is going to begin to make decisions concerning his future mom and dad you need to be there to help them through that transition do i want kids to get an education yes i do yes i do but some of you are pushing your children so hard and fast to be successful in life they won't be successful in heaven that's a very real thing in our culture today i'm not going to pause for a show of hands but i want to i want to demonstrate something to you there's a lot of you sitting in this room today maybe watching online you have a college education maybe the masters or a doctorate in some kind of something and you spent years years and years studying paying the money for it to get your education how many is thankful for that but there's a lot of you out there that are in that that are not working in the field in which you've been trained i i heard my dear brother dan gibson over here talking about last year he was telling me you know i got a guy working for us got a master's degree i said what's he doing with your company stacking boxes i said really why what he wants to do man if i says mom and dad i'd be like you better get out there and get you a jaw that money we spent for you huh i'm not working in the degree that i have i don't have one i'm joking listen to me carefully there's no way that we can dictate know how things are going to happen here on planet earth some of you are going to get degrees and you'll never touch it again god you're just going to go through that path and then you're going to get to a place you'll make a decision and the door will open an opportunity will come along and you'll walk right into it and begin to move forward i got a son right now that's doing things i'm like well you're doing what there ain't nothing about your degree i know dad but this is what i want it's what makes me happy i'm what's my question then as a dad did you pay off your student loan first second i saw you happy and loving the serving god yeah dad then go take all the pictures you want i just want you to say buddy i just want you to say pastor saying that i shouldn't go to college i didn't say that they didn't come out of my mouth at all what i'm telling you is this mom and dad why don't you spend the same amount of effort and energy in your children getting them in the word come on you know what monday night prayer time's about it's about you as a parent taking your child to an altar and say baby this is how we do it because if it's gonna happen in your life it's gonna happen because you spent the time and you committed it unto the lord what are you gonna do mom and dad when your kid comes home from school and they've had a rough day and somebody at school is making fun of them or somebody's picking on them or bully's overshadowing them what are you going to do when that happens are you going to go to school and fight huh come on yeah right a 25 year old beating down a seven-year-old at school that ought to go over well i don't told you you don't mess with my child no that's not what you do what do you do baby come here let me show you something we're going to pray right now i don't want to pray yes we are but i'm mad yes you are and so am i first of all we're going to pray for our attitudes because the meek blessed are the peace speakers the reason that the beatitudes are in there this is your attitude that it needs to be and you pour yourself into that and you teach your children that why because of all the things that they learn in life at whatever level of school that they're in they're going to have to realize that it's all because of jesus that you're able to do what you do you can bring the poorest child the poorest adult off the street let them be filled with the promises of the word of god and they'll never look back to where god brought them from to where they came from they'll simply say it's a good thing to lift my hands in the tabernacle and love the lord god because he's been good to me some of you right now you have no idea the path that you were on and god diverted your attention and put you in another position i'm convinced god does that all the time because when we proverbs 3 something in all of your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path come on don't put god in there god's leading you but it's your way now listen carefully and i'm coming to an end brother jerome would you come there are a lot of wonderful teachings in the word of god mom and dad your children need to love every single one of them listen to me they don't need to just simply love the one that says the lord's our provider our waymaker and he takes care of things and he puts things in motion they need to understand that he chastises those that he loves he has patience with those that are forward he'll take care of those that are trying to destroy themselves he can help them because friend of mine it doesn't matter how long your life is and how good you think you might be there ain't one of us in here yet with angel wings look at your neighbor and say you ain't got them yet all right look back at them you might not get them tell them you know but the facts of this every time you get out of bed and y'all listen to me right now in the name of jesus mom and dad you listen to pastor from the time you get out of bed every morning you better pray this prayer lord god let my children put hell on notice they are not going to follow the ways of the world but they're going to be hell's greatest nightmare because when my child walks into that schoolhouse everything's going to be different i don't care if you're homeschooling your child they need to have the same mentality and understanding when i stand up and i walk come on god is doing things he is moving come on another day is going to come tomorrow you know what mom and dad you need to pray that prayer into them one more time devil you better get back my child's coming they're baptized in the name of jesus they're full of the holy ghost they know what it's like to pray they know what it's like to intercede they know what it's like to go to the house of the lord they know what it's like to give themselves to prayer and understand you listen to me mom and dad you put it into them as children and they're gonna come a day they're gonna come to you and say mom i don't understand what god's telling me or dad why is it that the lord's leading me this way you better be able to give an account come on we all know the story of the young one samuel that came to eli what is going on there's a voice i don't know go back i don't know go back now when he says it again you say here i am lord it's a shame that the man of god sat there and said the only thing i can tell you to do is give yourself to god instead of giving up saying oh that's a word from the heavens above saying i've got a future for my people and i'm going to bless them and anoint them come on i know what it's like as a young man not to understand fully capable and understand the things of god but as a young man finding myself in an altar at a youth prayer time and all night long digging in the carpet as hard as i could asking for the mercy of god over my life as a 12 13 14 year old pouring myself into prayer tongues and interpretation the spirit moving in my life i didn't understand none of it but i'm thankful that i had a mom and a dad and a grandma that point her finger at me and she said that's the word of god you get in that word raymond you go deeper you go further you get under the carpet you find the hand of god what does it mean it doesn't matter you keep going i would go to my grandmother's house because i worked half a mile from them and i'd walked to their house for lunch 15 years old smelled like cheese because i worked in a cheese factory everybody said yum no it wasn't either and i'll get to my grandma's she'd have me a baloney sandwich with potato chips and sweet tea to drink kool-aid if i was good fast i could eat sarah and my little granny come home with her dish towel because she'd been doing dishes and she wiped her hand and she sit down across the table from me and she said baby what's the lord telling you and i got a sandwich in my mouth you want to know right now yeah you only got a few minutes tim you remember my grandma that's what she was wasn't she and i okay grandma listen i was praying this past week and the lord said this to me and she stopped me in the mid-sentence brother mandy in mid-sentence she would stop me and she'd finish the sentence granny will you see what else the lord's telling you i'm telling you i'm sitting at the table and i'd start you know what the lord said to me granny he said that she stopped me in mid sentence and she'd finish it and i'd say how do you know that she said because he told me the same thing and i'm looking at this elder in my life and i'm saying goodness great what if i lost my mind or something and i'd watch her get up off that little chair and a little bit himself with her discharge and say the lord god is confirming what he's saying i'd say granted do you understand it she said i don't have a clue but if he's telling you and he's telling me evidently something good about to happen as a young person i didn't understand that i didn't comprehend it but years later as i grew up and i began to understand some things about the word what the lord god was telling me was this there's a word that's in your life and you don't know how or when or at what moment he's going to draw it out of you some of y'all looking at me like i don't lost my mind because you don't think that god does that yes he does i'm standing here telling you he does and on the time when she died and i'm sitting at her bedside that week prior to her death i'm holding her hand and she's speaking in tongues she's telling me raymond what's the lord telling you i said granny this is what the lord's saying don't interrupt me and i begin to tell it and she's laying in that hospital room and the little monitor's beeping going crazy over there and she's speaking in tongues and she's saying that's it that's it that's it i said granny did he tell you the same thing listen to me she said no he didn't but i trust what he's put in you why because i confirmed it then i know it's now the right thing oh hear me somebody there are some preachers sitting in here today they're this big right now they don't understand it but for the sake of god's creation get them in the presence of god and let the word of god begin to work in them and they're going to stand up one day and they're going to say i don't understand this but i was in my bedroom praying and the lord began to speak this to me come on some of y'all want your kids to be up behind this podium one day some of you want your children to be up on these instruments one day i challenge you get your face off of this and get their face there and god will lift them up when the time comes there is a glory sitting in this room right now over these babies that we've prayed over some of you parents are discouraged because you don't understand and you wish that you could get a grip on i've come to tell somebody today the devil's a liar you train up your child you repeat it with them come on tell me come on talk to me youngin come on who loves you what's the word doing what's the spirit saying they're too young to understand no they're not ask lo brantley about brantley did god heal your ears how do you know because nobody else could it came to me a few weeks ago pastor lord close up may that righteous lord close up the hole in my ear i said how do you know that because i just know now who am i to say that didn't happen you know what i said to him i said you know what i expect god would so now when he's got another need that's what he's gonna say i expect god will oh jesus help us today i want every young child in this room to come to this altar as fast you can get out of your chair come on every school-aged child get up here as fast as you can run come on run get up here quickly come on run come on run most of these little guys here i dedicate come on in here you know you're tall come over here you make you look down on all of them i dedicated most of these right here as a pastor gets to do sometimes y'all stand right there some of them i've seen get the holy ghost some of them most i baptized them do you think that was just for a flip of the coin and hope it all works i pray for the day yo listen carefully i pray for the day that i will not have to stand here brother dan but one of these guys is going to step up and he's going to say i love my pastor i'm so glad that he led me and i'm so glad i had parents that cared but that young person gonna say but god's been talking to me and i want y'all to know right now and i say it for all y'all when that happens i'll be the first one to shout amen god speak to him god speak to her god pour it in him give to him god i don't know what they're gonna face but my influence lord is getting less let theirs grow let them find the pulse of their generation to be able to say i don't care what's going on in this world the voice of the lord still speaks through his word and you will declare the whole council of god everybody in this room ought to be on your feet right now we're going to pray come on you want to come to the altar you come to we're going to support these youngins i brought them up here embarrassed them enough come on most of them they've been baptized they got the holy ghost we're going to pray over them that an anointing will hit them because we're going to train up our children we're going to cat we're going to get the word into them come on gather on the stage right here come on too get up here come on we're going to pray that the glory of the lord move in their lives come on this is now more than one of those prayers god protect them at school this is a prayer right now for the glory and the anointing of the lord to destroy any yoke that would have them bound and to get them into a position to where god can begin to speak through them touching them come on mom and dad would you help them pray right now be the leaders come on mom and dad be the leaders in prayer right now lord you know what they're going through but i'm praying god that an unction and an anointing would touch them i pray lord jesus that your will would begin to speak into their lives come on get a hold of a mom and dad pray over them let them know you mean business i'm trusting this to you oh that's right come on pray i'm believing come on every voice in here lift it to heaven great god i'm trusting you lord for the future oh help us lord help us god to categorize our children to let them know repeatedly god as they go to the word they go to the promises they go lord to the miracles they realize lord if you did it then you can do it now oh come on train up your children that's right repeat it time and again jesus loves you come on in jesus name that's right mom and dad pray for them god anoint their minds oh god anoint their thoughts lord their intentions i see you come on church family pray oh god use them in this hour let the glory of the lord move you know the road they're taking god be with him lord every step oh that's right come on feel the burden pray for your children now reach over pray for somebody close to you now come on minister one to another that's right let the spirit of the lord use you today pray for that one close to you god bless them lord anoint them come on reach out to somebody let the blessing of the lord move in your life oh that's right come on don't be selfish reach out god raise them up make them a tower of strength give them courage lord for the battle in front of them that's right i agree oh that's pray with them god you know lord where they are you know where they're going lord that's courage they'll be make a way for them lord speak into their lives jesus i pray all glory to god glory to god the goodness of the lord the mercies of the lord oh that's right come on god's good listen to me carefully before we leave anybody notice the image that i asked them to make today you may know what that thing's called a what a menorah it's got a center candle it's got four on the left and four on the right this is at the rebuilding of the second temple they begin to institute this and there was a day celebration called hanukkah still on your calendars today it's called hanukkah and during these eight days listen carefully children were from the morning to the evening they were taught and they would have to repeat day one they would take the middle and they would light the outside we believe that god took care of us and god provided and god made a way and god opened doors and god healed and god made free and god made prop he did things he did this and we they would parents would explain it to their children all day they would talk about it second day guess what same thing now the old original there would be oil want to hear a cool thing when this was first instituted the first one of these they made they put oil in it but because of the drought that particular year there was not enough oil it took them time to redo because jerusalem they could they had to do things in the temple the proper way otherwise they would be held accountable for it you couldn't just use old peanut oil that came out of a vessel somewhere it had to be annoying to go through the process history declares and this is something that the parents teach their children generation generation is the first one that was made had oil in it there was enough oil for one day so they the priest got up and said light it this is a reminder to god's provision and they lit it they talked about god's goodness but they didn't have the supplies they needed and history declares the second day they got up they went and they lit it and the two are still burning we don't know about this but we know that god's provision is right and it's real on the third day they got up you know what they went to the third one and they lit it guess what all three are burning they should have run out the first day but history declares it's written in the talmud you can read it from the prophets they write it down they say you know what happened the oil never dried for eight days the oil burned until we could go through the process of cleansing oil to go back into it because we needed to remember we had to be reminded daily now some of y'all y'all you you push hanukkah aside because it's not you're not a jewish in those festivals it doesn't mean nothing i go and i'd study this stuff and my mind goes i'm trusting and i'm believing god in this hour in which we live that it listen to me it is going to take a daily reminder of god's provision his protection his blessings his good you know some of y'all allow me to love you man as pastor some of y'all come to service sunday after sunday full of problems and stuff because you haven't learned to be thankful for the good times and so you drag that old beast back in here stinky smelly bruises all over it and that old dead horse comes behind you god's been good to me but the devil's been on my back all week long bless his holy name i'm telling you you give one two three four five six seven eight days of thankfulness remembering the goodness of the lord that old dead horse is gonna be left outside that carcass gonna be smelling and the buzzards are gonna come get it why because you're about to come in here and say you know what i remember now the goodness of the lord oh i remember now the blessings of the lord come on mom and dad you need to train up your child you need to let them realize every day you know what you're about to eat came from the hand of the lord what we're about to climb into god gave it to us you know what the thing you're about to put on your back the lord god provided that they need to know it know it know it know it know it train up a child kids you go back to school this week i'm going to challenge you don't you be embarrassed don't you be put aside you walk in that classroom if you're homeschooled you walk in there with purpose if you go to public or private school you walk in there with purpose and if you have to scream it to the top of your lungs god i need you here this year you do it watch what your teachers say oh lord that's one of them i'm i'm done i need i need two seconds listen to me two minutes this little girl right here became a school teacher in a public school and it was a horrible school just a lot of challenge that she loved a lot of problems well then to make it worse their special needs so there's another set of problems you know i'm saying it just goes on and on i would get phone calls dad hey baby she'd say how you doing dad i'm good baby how are you i'm good y'all have no one else calls it baby call me anytime what's wrong sweetie she said dad and she'd go through i'm not gonna tell you the detail but this this or that say well are you okay man yeah i'm in the closet oh lord did they put you there no dad are you tied up no no dad i'm not listen y'all listen listen to pastor minute now i've got an opportunity here brother lorenzo to be dad and pastor and i'm sitting there on the phone with her and i'm gonna say baby i'm gonna be dad a second i love you and i believe in you i i know i know i know i know i know sorry now i'm gonna be a pastor listen to me did you pray over your classroom when you went in this morning well yeah i said no baby did you pray she said every day i said no baby you need to pray over that classroom she said okay what do i do and i said you gather your composure you open the door to that closet you march yourself in the midst of all those people that are causing you all this havoc and you with the loud as you can you tell be quiet listen to me and i said you tell them we're gonna pray right now in this classroom y'all listen she calls me after school hey dad different tone say hey baby how are you listen to me she said i'm gonna say tell them what happened she said dad took me a couple minutes i wiped my face i didn't want them to know i was crying and then i finally decided you know what i'm going to she said i walked out there and all this hubbub and all this guys are going on and there's some big kids in there and she said i walked down i said guys guys guys listen to me be quiet sit in your chair we're going to pray right now y'all going to hear me pray what sit down so what'd you do she said lord jesus these heathens in here whatever she said she didn't say that she said lord i need you in this classroom right now because i'm losing my mind i need your help i pray right now that the devil leaves this room i plead the blood of jesus over every one of these kids i said really how'd it go baby she said dad i finished praying and i opened my eyes and i looked at her all with her heads down afraid to death to look up i said sweetie what happened the rest of the day she said angels were there i don't mean nothing to nobody but to a daddy with a child i said lord your power can go into a classroom your anointing can go into a place that's fallen apart some of you right now on your jobs you need the glory of god and i challenge you tomorrow walk on that job please say hang on a second in the name of jesus i plead your blood over my desk i plead your blood over my computer i plead your blood lord over the break room i plead your blood over come on in the name of train up your children let them understand that there is power in the name of jesus we'll finish the story that wasn't the last time it happened but the next time or the next time or the next time brother tim she didn't call me till after school how was your day baby dad had to do it again i said how do what again i had to pray i said oh you didn't ask your dad no i know now listen to me church train up your child repeat it to them don't ever let it get old kids jesus loves you i love you it's the church we need to be connected to the body we need to be connected to the word come on the future is bright with jesus it might not look good now but in jesus name it's going to look listen to me and i'm done listen carefully there's only going to come a time mom and dad where the spirit of the lord is going gonna speak to you about sacrificing something that you own for the church and you're gonna have to look your children in the eye and say you know what this year we're not doing vacation because the lord told me to give that money to the church y'all think i'm strange don't you and you're going to explain that to your children you know what they can do one of two things they'll either be mad or they'll say okay you're training up children for the future now you had lord thank you so much for the word today thank you thank you for the power of the church the power of your word the power of prayer the anointing of the lord the glory of the lord that touches our lives daily i thank you for that help us lord at this moment school's going to begin classrooms are going to be a buzz lord homeschool god's going to be underway things are going to happen but lord i'm praying that there would be an anointing and an unction that would touch these children they would rise up in the morning and call blessed and do lord the things that you're calling them to do they will become prayer warriors intercessors they will become pastors and ministers and teachers and preachers and song leaders and musicians for the kingdom of god i know lord that you've got a plan for every one of them as we reach into our community every week lord help us to make a difference and let them know that it is by god's grace that things are done we love you we serve you and we trust you in jesus name i plead your blood over us this week thank you savior in advance thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven in jesus name everybody say amen
