When We Pray...

pray with me church right now Lord Jesus we love you and we thank you for another opportunity to come into your presence today Lord we have prayed we have sung songs about you today we have lifted our hands and our voices unto you we have wept tears God of Joy believing you Lord are doing great things right now Lord we need the word right now Jesus we call upon you take calls from the altar today Lord touch these lips of clay I make myself available once again to you I believe in you Jesus I trust you and I love you in the name of Jesus let God arise in this house today but the spirit of the Lord do its work in this house today will love you for it in Jesus name could you give him a hand clap of Praise together everybody we love you Lord we believe in you Jesus Hallelujah you can be thankful for your investment every week in the Kingdom amen thank you for what you do for Cornerstone as unto the Lord somebody say Amen I give honor to all of you today again to Our Guest I'm so honored that you're here today the Lord richly richly bless you ever noticed that there are a lot of things in our lives in which we really have no control I mean you can get out of bed in the morning go about your day make your plans do your task make things happen complete anybody here do a to-do list all right does anybody else give you a to-do list come on men everybody everybody's happy all are content all is well in your life but then out of nowhere it appears something happens it's as if somebody did not read your to-do list it's almost like they didn't even care that you were trying to do something so your schedule begins to fall apart although you put all the fail-safes in place you wanted to make sure that you got all that you were supposed to do done but something happens and this is this is basically the way that it works about I'm talking my life this might apply to you as well I realized that if you understand making sense of things and you want order in your life you anybody pray over your to-do list yeah Lord help somebody else do this list right yeah yeah it's common prayer we all pray you know what I mean when when you're doing things and you're trying to accomplish there are things that happen in our lives and each one of those things happened for a reason even though most of the time a lot of the time we don't even know why that they have transpired ask somebody sitting around you for an example ask somebody your neighbor have you ever had a perfect plan come together ask somebody perfect plan come together does it ever happened in your life or maybe okay ask them this does it always happen the way that you planned there I mean come on you know we're reaching out here right I understand today I stand here today and I want you to understand also that there are issues in life you have great intentions you desire success you want peace in your life I don't believe anybody here runs to sadness and confusion is that now maybe some of you know some folk that look like they do but the truth is many of us grab a hold of Hope and we shy away from failure and destruction the best we know how but in the nature of mankind we want to be happy we want to be joyful even but there is something about your DNA the way that you have been assembled if you will as Humanity there are binding substances if you will in our makeup and in our body called DNA if I knew how to say detox acid I would say it for you I did write it here in all 42 letters but every human that's ever lived there's something they're made of and it's called your DNA and it identifies you you can take DNA of humanity and you'll figure out that we're all different are we not yeah we all have different ways that we see things our own composition the way that we are assembled they are the identifying molecules for all things as DNA we're put here on Earth with a an identity if you will and then we discover that identity throughout our lives now we have knowledge if you will we have a way to understand that we've been designed and constructed in a certain pattern and the truth is that should give all of us a clear and a precise method into which we can understand how that women and men are different how that children grow up into different environments and they become who they are but none of us today can really say that we have all of life's information is that true therefore to answer all of the life's problems and things that you go through a lot of times you're not really sure how to give the response and so then you become questioned you scratch your head you try to get a hold of the reality but the facts remain even though we're smart and even though we understand some things there are a lot of things in life that we simply do not have control of we understand as well that there are circumstances that make us to do things let me read it to you this way would you give me just a moment today the word of God John chapter one you all know this if you don't I'm going to make you privy to it right now in the beginning was the word the word was with God and the Word was God the same was in the beginning with God all things hear this were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in him was life the life was the light of men verse 5 says and the light shineth in darkness the darkness comprehended it not John wrote it like this he said everything was made by him nothing that's there was done without him so if we understand that God knows what is in our world it came by God's hand then we have consolation today to know that even in the confusion the chaos and the things that we don't get there is still a God that knows things hang on the pastor for just a moment the original question that I began with today have you ever noticed things in life can be out of control if we know so much about the way that things work because of knowledge and we understand DNA we understand how people are we understand the methods that are used by the systems of life then why does things sometimes seem to go off track and to fall into an abyss there should be a better way to control things ask your neighbor can you control things come on there should be a better way that we can control them we should be able to keep things lined up in a way that we want them to be after all hear me now I hear this after all God knows us and surely God wants us to be happy I mean that is the cry we hear from Humanity today right if God knows us and he he wants us to be happy so we think then he ought to give us a better ability to keep things in control It Is by God's grace and mercy that we have value in our lives and if we can control the situation if I can better control the situation hear this then I am better equipped and prepared to fix something when someone else throws it off course now there's easy right there's a lot of things that I feel like that we ask God for and the fact is we ought to be able to take care of them ourselves hang on let me meet him after all doesn't God know me doesn't God know that I'm good at controlling things some of y'all gonna be mad at me in a minute for me to be happy and content with life God should be able to work his great works within my capabilities and in my desires to know him but God ought to be able to just work in my system doesn't God know everything doesn't God have all things therefore God knows that when I'm arrived on the scene I brought a whole lot of good to the table therefore ought to be able to say all right God you get all this and in God's way of doing things so many times he looks at a you're all that and he says yeah that explains a lot of mistakes and failures I stand here today and I tell you God does not have to work within your capabilities and your desires he is not a palm that you would shift him left to right and cause him to chase after you God is not obliged to put things in your hands to allow you to do things the right way no with his way always being adjusted according to your way no no God is not obligated to our feeble and untrusting ideas and plans after all we are apt to change the plan at whatever happens in our day you get out of bed in the morning you got your to-do list ready you start working through it it all falls apart now you're going to ask God to come in and put things in order in your life when you're the one that owns the to-do list God puts things on track because he knows everybody's track hang on to me God knows how your life connects with someone else's life God knows how your choices Collide and they run headstrong into someone else's or they run alongside someone else's after all if you'll allow me to remind us today our God is indeed all-knowing all present and all powerful put on go a step further to remind us we are not all-knowing all present and all-powerful look at your neighbor say that ain't you that ain't you you're not all of that but back to the issue hang on to me a moment let's look at an event that unfolded in the scripture oh this is so powerful Mark the 11th chapter tells us the story about Jesus he sent a couple of guys into the city to find a ride for him y'all know the story go find this cult this young donkey he's not been ridden I want you to when you get there I want you to find him bring him to me just tell them what I'm telling you to say they said it and then here they come walking up with this cult the Bible tells us we'll get into this listen to it that when he sat upon the cold he had all this stuff going on that the people begin to cry Hosanna blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord anybody read this story now we're going to get to what they've got on the screen because they jump track on him Jesus is coming to Bethany listen there's less than two miles of distance between one point and the other Jesus is on a journey to complete the plan and the purpose for coming into this world therefore Mark 11 chapter 12 says on the morrow when they were come to Bethany hear this in verse 11 he was hungry and seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves he came if happily he might find anything thereon listen to this when he came to it he found nothing but leaves y'all follow this next phrase for the time of figs was not yet Jesus answered said unto it no man eat fruit of thee Hereafter forever and his disciples listened to this y'all hang on to me a moment this group is making their way to Jerusalem Jesus wanted something to eat you read that in the story yeah he goes over to the Fig Tree he sees it now listen figs are a great source of food great source of nutrition and in that particular day and time it was something that they ate the law of Jesus saw this fig tree but he noticed all you've got is leaves but there's no fruit for me to partake of because it was not the season for figs now we understand seasons and lives do we not yeah we're just going into what everybody in Tennessee calls the no the pumpkin season yeah pumpkin spice and everything anyway we understand that after not much time there'll be cold weather and maybe even snow and then we get it that seasons will change and Springtime will come and the leaves will come out and and it's Tennessee we get four distinct Seasons here sometimes all in one day you know what I'm talking about yeah we're in Tennessee right we understand the season y'all listen to this hang on to Pastor for a minute realize that this fig tree was simply doing its job growing leaves fruit Jesus comes by this fig tree he looks at it because he's hungry but he doesn't see any fruit on it that he can partake of y'all follow this it wasn't the Fig tree's fault it wasn't the season for fruit in other words this is not time to bear fruit on a fig tree but yet Jesus walks by this tree and he looks at it and he says nobody's going to eat anything off this tree anymore I often wonder poor little fig tree what did he do the system of life was happening he was submitted to the plan of God from the beginning how that sap would come up how that leaves would grow the sun would come in Fruit would be produced they would take it they would partake of it everybody's happy but on this particular day it's not even the Fig tree's fault but Jesus is hungry he looks at it and there's nothing there verse number 20 of Matthew of Mark 11 excuse me in the morning they passed by saw the fig tree dried up from the roots Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him Master behold the Fig Tree which thou cursest is withered away the next day they're walking here they spot the Fig Tree one more time it has now become a point of conversation but they notice it's withered and it's dead the followers of Jesus say we we heard what he said yesterday but notice what happened from that day unto this day Jesus had cursed this fig tree because it had no fruit now hold on to me a moment and the disciples are now in awe at the fact that even the trees are subject to the voice of the master it was not time for that fig tree but the Bible gives us clear indication that this fig tree that was created by the God of all creation with its particular DNA and its makeup this tree would have Cycles to grow produce fruit lose the fruit lose the leaves go dormant then come back in that season the fruit should have been there but it wasn't because it was out of season and now in the cycle of living Jesus interrupted the life cycle and killed the fruit killed the fruit maker he killed the Fig Tree hang this verse 22 of Mark 11 Jesus answering saith unto them have faith in God verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed be thou cast into the sea shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that these things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith therefore I say unto you what things soever you desire when ye pray believe that you shall receive them hear this and you shall have them notice these followers of Jesus they are looking at Jesus they are noticing that he has taken the sheer life out of this fig tree and Jesus's response to them was this that God can do anything if you will have faith in him whatever you ask if you'll believe in it it can happen whatever you desire When you pray if you'll believe it you can receive it says the word of the god the word of God notice your friend that first of all he says you got to have faith in God second of all he says whatever you speak don't doubt it third of all he says believe in what you're asking and something will happen I stand at this Podium today to Simply remind somebody when you pray there is something that is activated in the spirit world when you pray and you truly believe the God of all of creation is on your side and he hears the prayers in which you are praying I've come to declare to somebody when we pray power begins to unleash itself hear what the preacher says today you might be in the middle of a season in your life and you might be questioning all of God's ability to do what he said he would do but friend of mine I come to ask you today will you believe that when you pray the God of all creation can work contrary to what the season is it might be a that you deserve death but he can bring you life it may be that you deserve to fall but he picks you up I'm amazed at this particular story because I understand it in my season in life as I when I was young I did a b and c now that I'm older I don't know what that means I've discovered wisdom I didn't know I had but time passes through my fingers and I wonder sometimes why the worry and why the Fret has anybody here ever made a mistake owned up to it and then try to pay it and for some reason brother Lorenzo you come into the house of the Lord and you bring and you drag that problem that mistake that messed up with you and you come to church and guess what it identifies you that's the Messer upper that's the big problem come on look at your neighbor and ask him are you the problem don't ask him that don't ask him that there are so many things that we deserve to pay for my old Pastor brother Terry bless his heart has been gone many many years he used to say this all the time so many of us are sowing Bad Seed and we're just praying for crop failure oh God let the crop fail this year don't let that come back and bite me because we know that we're making wrong decisions wrong choices but listen to this very very simple there is a key to the workings of the not understood there are there is a key to Allowing God to work in your life listen to this Mark 11 it's the same story verse 25. when you stand praying the Bible says it very specifically here forgive is it on the screen that way oh it's even in red how cool is that forgive forget y'all might want to say that word wait a minute I'm going to go into it forgive if you have ought against any that your father also which is in heaven May forgive you your trespasses listen to this but if ye do not everybody say it forgive neither will your father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses now I thought that the understanding of this was the fig tree because that's the point of conversation that these disciples are looking at Jesus was hungry he went to the Fig Tree it had leaves but it had no fruit he said you'll never bear fruit again they walk away they come back the next day and the tree shown off is dead I thought that was the story but then Jesus says that if you'll pray and if you'll believe and if you'll ask and if you'll desire it and if you'll do what you do as unto the Lord something very wonderful and merciful can happen to you but then he concludes this by saying but understand something that if you don't learn to forgive foreign if you do not learn the power of forgiveness then your prayers that you are praying are going to have a challenge to ever get past the ceiling of the place in which you're praying them so many of us bring all of our out of control situations into the presence of God and we bring them to an altar and we lay them here some of us haven't learned how to do that yet because we feel like we're stronger and more capable of gathering up all of our issues and making them Define us oh that's the guy with the issues of this but instead if we could ever learn to come into the presence of the Lord God and we can lay them there and we can decide Lord I'm letting you have my mess I'm letting you have my failure I'm letting you have all the bad choices I'm giving to you all the sin I'm letting you have every bit of this stuff then God himself can come in and work the miraculous in our lives but so many times we bring that stuff to the presence of God but we're not able to forgive others for what they have done to us therefore the fruit can never come back until we learn how to First forgive I stand here today at this Podium and I declare to you prayer does work prayer does work some of us are saying Amen to that because when you sit at your table at lunchtime Lord bless his food thank you for it don't let it make me sick or fat amen and we go home and we don't get sick no fat God answered prayer huh that's about as tall as the prayer goes but I don't mind telling somebody in this house today I have learned that in my small and in my large I need a God that can work in all of my messes and in my situations I don't mind telling you I bless my food yes I do I lay down in bed at night and I pray God let me rest in you today and let me have joy in you I get up in the morning I run to my house my little chair of prayer or my swing of prayer with my coffin I said Lord bless the coffee as I sit here and bless you and you bless me listen to Pastor I'm telling you I realize that prayer works but so many times I put parameters around the prayer because I figured out Lord I'm the one that got me into this mess it's going to take me to get out of this mess and all the while the Lord God stand there saying oh yeah you got into that mess because you weren't listening to me if you were to listen to me I could have helped you what makes you think you can get out of that mess by yourself I come to tell somebody you cannot forgive yourself of your own sins you need the blood of Jesus applied to your life to cover up that multitude of sins but what I can do is this if I'm going to expect the God of all creation to come in and wash away my sin and forgive me of all my trespasses then I've got to learn somehow some way to go to the one that I've offended and say listen to me I beg your forgiveness I don't want to have on with you and I don't want you to have all with me I want to make sure that when Heaven is in view that I'm not walking away from it but instead I'm running to it why because I believe when I pray if I'll understand the power of forgiveness then I too can live in Victory some of you sitting here today under the sound of my voice you're online watching right now you've got so much hurt pain sorrow suffering in your life and you blamed everybody because it lost control you weren't able to push it all in the right direction and get it herded down the right Road and your life is full of issues and problems and you wonder why you can't get past it I use the term today on purpose several times happiness some of us wonder why can't I just be happy you realize that the Lord God Never Promised You all that happiness he did say you'll have joy but he didn't leave it at Joy he said you'll have joy unspeakable you won't even know how to describe the joy you won't even understand how to talk about the joy because the Lord God has come in in spite of you and has worked a miraculous in your life because you allowed him to come in and forgive some of you today you are sitting here under the sound of my voice and you're saying pastor I wish that I could smile again I wish that I could breathe a sigh of relief one more time I wish that I had not tried so hard to hold on and have control of everything going on in my life but the fact of the matter is this Lord when everything's falling apart when everything's coming unglued I can pray and when I pray I can look to you Lord God and I can say whatever about this mountain that's in my way be removed cast into the sea no doubt God in my heart it can happen if I believe things that when I pray for them it'll come to pass then according to your word when I pray that and I believe in it God I know that whatever I desire when I pray if I believe I can receive it today God if there is unforgiveness in my heart standing between me and the answer to prayer I'm asking you Lord God show it to me let me see the fault of my sin and let me rise to the occasion to say I know that I've offended somebody help me God to see what it is let me clean the Slate with them so that I made Jesus forgive them so that you made Jesus forgive me therefore I can walk in true joy to know that the joy of of the Lord is my strength and I can stand in the face of every devil and every uncontrolled situation and I can look at Square in the eyes I can say there is forgiveness in my heart there is joy in my heart I release all the hurt and the pain and the sorrow and the suffering I get rid of it I can't take care of it I can't control it but one thing I do though that I can't control is How I Look At You Jesus I can be in the midst of the worst point in my life that if I'll call on the name of the Lord Jesus he can come into my situation and work the miraculous there are some today hurting broken and literally out of control I come today to tell you there is power in prayer now the beauty of this story back to the fig tree is this it was not supposed to have fruit it wasn't the season for the fruit why did Jesus curse that fig tree the Fig Tree was doing its job the way God had put it into motion I could tell you why because the explanation here in verse 25 says there is power and forgiveness and Humanity needs to understand more than anything the need to forgive why do you think the last words on the cross of calvary was simply this father forgive them they don't know what they're doing I don't hold this to them I haven't lost control I am not washed out and under the carpet and pushed to the side I'm not in a trash bin to be thrown away but I am releasing the power of forgiveness into this world I want to ask you a simple question today as I close what are you holding on to what kind of mess-ups issues and problems are you still grabbing a hold of in your life that God can't come in and wash and replace it with joy and peace in the Holy Ghost some of you is sitting in here today may say Pastor I am clean good stand to your feet right now lift your hands to the Lord because your hands are clean on the other hand there might be others that'll say you know it's hard for me to truly worship God because way back in your heart way back in your spirit Something's Happened and you won't release it in forgiveness if I come to somebody and I lift my hand and I close my fist to them that's almost threatening because if I drop them just a little bit Dylan guess what this is a position of what I'm a terrible fighter because I don't do well with pain I'm saying I'm sorry I don't know Eli you may but I don't like it and I bruise so easy and get out of breath you know if I had to fight somebody right now I say hold on we got the time this thing we're going to work this out on stage you know what I'm saying he may I mean I'm saying because my fists are closed somebody's going to be threatened by that but if I come to you Dylan with my hand open and I reach to you what am I saying now I need your help maybe you'll say I need your help some of you haven't learned the power of forgiveness therefore you walk around life so tense and tight and you wonder why God can't bless you I'm asking you today Cornerstone would you open your hand I turn loose of it God the only way I can receive forgiveness is if at first I receive and even out of season good things can happen because if I ask and I believe I can receive I close like this who in your life is worth you missing Heaven over because you won't forgive stand with me Church who is standing between you and your miracle today is it a past relationship or a family member or something at a church or something on a job or something that in your health or something in your finances whatever's got you all bound up and wrapped up what if today you were to decide you know it ain't worth it come today Lord and I put it down and I lift my hands to you I need forgiveness the Lord looking at you and you can't you can't receive it yet then maybe you need to self-examine Lord who who am I holding on with it is so cheap if you listen to this preacher it is so cheap to go to somebody so cheap they simply say I forgive you because I want him to forgive me thank you for letting me use you a precious bride is here today I'm glad I learned Seth a long time ago that if she and I are at odds with each other anybody any couples understand I don't mean you're yelling and shouting and screaming it's just simply odds which means it's awkward I have found sweetie I love you and I'm so sorry please forgive me it can melt an entire multitude hurt in myself a lot of times she don't even know what I'm talking about I'm just simply letting it go can I finish this there's a Greater Joy for me when she asked me forgiveness so yeah baby I forgive you there was such a connection that happens in the relationship all because of the power of so when you pray is forgiveness there on every hand lifted High every hand lifted high right now foreign I want you to pray right now Jesus I know that controlling all things Lord is a great challenge I realize Lord that I've made mistake come on somebody I made mistakes I know that I failed I know that I flopped I know that I've messed up but today Lord I need you and I I realize God that even though Lord I am reaping what I've sown I I believe today God that even in that season Lord you can change it you can come in and you can make me completely whole but help me Lord to understand the true power of forgiveness that you forgave me of my sin even before I knew you help me today God in my situation to forgive someone this altar's open right now this afternoon when you pray there is a an incredible activity that happens in the Supernatural some of you want Revival you need to come pray and ask for the Lord God to forgive come on some of you want a personal Apostolic move of God you need to let the power of forgiveness work in your life right now even in the season where it doesn't make sense God could come in and he can move and things can happen the situation can change joy and hope in the Holy Ghost can come to you come on that's right believe in it fill your mouth with a prayer right now Jesus I need your forgiveness I need you Lord God to help me even In This Moment In My Life and to do that Lord I've got to understand I've got to forgive it's all connected Lord if I'll ask in your name it can be done if I believe in your name it can be done but if I have ought against somebody stops that please help me today Lord come on pray Church come on young people pray come on Mom and Dad pray grandparents come on lift your voice to the Lord let the true power of forgiveness flow through my life today Jesus There Is No Greater Joy and to walk in your your name There's No Greater Joy than to know that you're working in my life come on would you pray call on the name of the Lord Jesus Jesus Jesus have mercy on me today Jesus help me to understand Lord God can't control everything but I can't submit to you I lose it sometimes Lord but you never do I have so many questions I don't get Lord you have all the answers and it's in you come on guys come on pray Jesus I I want to walk in New Life today I want to have a new take on I want to understand the true power of forgiveness come on let's write pray even out of season God can do the work come on when you pray you speak to that situation right now there is sure right now there is truth right now there is freedom and liberty because I release all the junk I release all the hurt I turn loose of all the pain and suffering I give it to you Jesus oh come on pray somebody I need you Lord I trust in you sweet Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus come on let the name of Jesus Break the Yoke right now oh that's right come on let the name of Jesus Break the Yoke right now Lord let there be Liberty Let There Be Liberty and freedom right now in this place hey I believe you're for it Jesus I Will Bless The Lord I will bless the Lord won't you get a hold of somebody close to you and pray with them right now come on bind your prayer together with theirs Jesus that's right get a hold of somebody Jesus do great things Lord you do great things Jesus you do great things Jesus I sure need you Lord I believe I'm trusting you today I am trusting you today Jesus that's right come on pray for your neighbor pray for your family Jesus help us God to walk with you help us Jesus to trust in you help us oh God to believe you Lord when we pray There Is Power things can happen things can happen Lord Jesus oh that's right come on pray run into his presence come on run into his presence I've come today to love you oh yeah come on run into his presence right now come to bless you yes Lord I am washed I am clean I have forgiven you have forgiven me oh I can have a relationship with you I can know you I can connect with you Jesus when I communicate with you in prayer God things happen Lord blessed be the name blessed be the name blessed blessed be the name that's right that's right reach over pray with somebody else come on let the Lord use you today to help somebody Jesus you've got answers for them Jesus you can work in their circumstance even out of season God you can do great things Lord even when it doesn't make sense you can work your plan her There Is Power When you pray there is power when you forgive and learn the power of forgiving have you ever been hurt by somebody come on let that go you ever been disappointed by somebody's actions or activity come on let that go you ever been disappointed in the way things turned out come on turn it loose I refuse to let some situation keep me from walking on the streets of gold I refuse I refuse to let what somebody else did and what I thought or what they did to stop me from hearing well done thou good and faithful servant when I pray I can get a hold of the Waymaker I can get a hold of the Savior and I can believe and I can pray and ask in Jesus name and things can happen in the name of Jesus the name of Jesus the name of Jesus the name of Jesus the name of Jesus I want to ask you to get a hold of somebody as we pray our last prayer to leave this place today I want we're going to pray one for another this is how you're going to pray Lord help them find your favor God help my friend help my family Lord let them find forgiveness pray the joy of the Lord will become strength to them and they could walk into the presence that you've said to them come on pray for them right now Lord I pray for every heart every home every individual in this room today watching online I pray God I speak unto them there is power when we pray God there is communication between Heaven and Earth there is something happening oh God we want Revival Lord therefore we need you we can't do it ourselves we don't control that God we simply love you and serve you and you move in the midst of that help us God to forgive as you forgive help us to forgive to forgive when you taught your people to pray he made sure we understood to forgive is to have power I plead your blood over this place every home in this house let them be blessed this week by your hand protect us as we go our separate ways let us leave this house Lord expecting great wonderful things
