When You See

something something is happening something that is bigger and greater possibly than what we could even grasp or think something is happening it is all it's all around us at every turn in our modern culture there seems to be a shifting fact is in our current world we can almost sense the atmosphere taking a turn or a twist you can ask just about anybody on the street in a store wherever you are you can ask them what they think about our current situation in the world and you'll find out that many times the answer is much the same our world's economy appears to be teetering on a point that's too difficult to define the dow is higher than ever before but yet it's more volatile than it's been in a long time people will tell you that there's so many fluctuations that it's just simply hard to track what's happening unsettledness on the job it it appears that folk don't want to do their job things are happening all around us i i stood yesterday in a line at a store and the the people standing around the one lady said it's a shame that we've had to accept this way of people's work ethics today and i tried to be very kind i said yes ma'am fact is people sense something is happening stay with me for a moment today please the builder the construction worker he can do the work but the amount of qualified help is is waning if you will manufacturing industry facing shortages and challenges on product and materials you visit the grocery store you see that the cost of food and goods has has gone up increasingly and and some things are not even available anymore shelves are not stocked what they used to have many times and and i know that that the picture that i paint is the doom and gloom if you will but fact and the simple facts are i am simply representing to you today 2022. turn to your neighbor and say right now but things are changing something is going on in the normal way of doing life news outlets they are looking for new stories to produce and and the police they're trying to stay alive through their next work shift and hospitals are very cautious of the next wave of sicknesses policies procedures they've been altered and affected in many ways to change the old way of doing things to a new way of doing things and then through the transition trying to somehow figure it out there even even seems to be challenges and simple things of everyday life i i was not aware of this because i'm not very savvy on some some areas many areas but on facebook right now if you go to set up a new account on facebook you have 58 plus different options to choose for your gender there once was a time when you could look at a person and tell now it's subject to how they feel or their emotion or what they think i was even made privy this week to a certain place in our great united states of america that for some reason has decided that you can be an animal if you'd like to be there and a lot of animals out there that i'd want to be like herb what if you wanted to be a gazelle that's a nice animal but kyra wants to be a lion guess what life is over for you did i just make that up or is that not true sorry i just you just i just i don't know society has adopted the stand that do what you want for the people to feel bad about it if you want to but the fact is is that if you can make people feel like they're included it's okay nobody wants to be left out therefore we have to have inclusion in all things of course this is just one of the many examples of confusion and questions that we face every single day work ethics have changed lord help me stay off this box as patrons we we had a favorite store or place that we wanted to do business but we have simply accepted the fact of how things are now done in 2022 slower customer service in the industry less people actually working in the marketplace less expertise fewer capable employees in the market on and on and on it goes when we talk about the deficiencies in the aspects of the marketplace we considered we are considered to be haters come on just just accept the fact they don't want to work but they're very very very proud of the fact they get a payday sorry i had to throw that in incentives to their situations basically what we have done is we have made as a society everybody can fit if you feel like you fit in the church we have even seen a shift in the atmosphere y'all hang on the pastor a minute you know i love you church has become an option getting together in a small place for some is very worrisome and so therefore they choose not to because even if you don't stream your service i can find church somewhere else online i'm not looking at anybody i'm just looking at my notes uncertain about how things are going to be done because you don't know if you come into a group of people if you'll walk away with a fever or a virus in your system therefore it becomes easier to stay away from the rest of the group for the concerns that you don't want to get somebody else sick you side with caution that is now the term the topic of the day my wife and i we go through the same thing at home honey do i need to decide with caution and i go or do i need this and back and forth and i'm just i don't know what to say or do because in my childhood i had two options of going to church or not going to church and the one not going meant i was going to hurt in a moment and that's just me i talk about that a lot but that was my experience and that how i became who i am today and i realized we live in a different culture in different world some of you younger folks look at me like you're very strange because we can get the same thing from our thumbs let me let me go forward war changing the way that we see other parts of the world did anybody even know where the ukraine was a few months ago a lot of folks didn't they had to go get out there wow where's your girl why is ra who's russia what is that who said back what did they do in it cold over there didn't ain't don't they have russian tea that's pretty good and the ukraine comes up war is changing the way we see the world viruses have changed the way our comfort of traveling and mixing with other people ethics has altered the way that crowds are even met or seen for an example you can walk into a group of people with one set of ethics but if the guy next to you doesn't like it he can cause everything in your life to become difficult and society will accept that unknown biology makeup has caused people to wonder through life wondering i don't see life the way you do in fact because of the way that i feel like i've been made i see through a different lens this generation now has always had the uncertain situations but they have learned how to accept them as their normal past generations that trying to live in this new world we're simply lost in the thought of stuff how can this ever make sense to you i was taught as a child you work a day's labor you get a day's pay and you go to sleep and feel good that's strange but that's the way i was talking i would ask my dad for money you know what he'd say i'll be glad to give it to you go cut the yard go do this go do that and then i will i mean i wanted to go to church camp one time one year when i was younger my dad said i would love to pay for your church camp take all the shutters down off all the storm windows down clean them and put them back clean the windows and i'll pay you five dollars a window we had 194 000 windows and i'm joking might as well have been but guess what i had to make a decision do i want to go to camp yes how much money do i need well it depends well i have a girlfriend while i'm there doesn't mean i need no more money anybody understand church camp if not well i could just do four of the windows get 20 bucks and i'm good but no i had to get 60 dollars because i'd clean them all come on just my dad was trying to teach me what work ethic just do it and you'll feel better about it dad said to me many times you know what if you're just too tired to go out and cause trouble guess what that's a smart thing to do go work hard and go to bed you're done there is a clash though some of you say all right some young folks are like huh there is a clash of cultures and lifestyles old new they're at odds with one another the old folks simply shake their heads the young folks shake their fists not really sure where there's a common ground and how to locate that therefore we are unstable in many ways in our world today but today i stand behind a sacred desk that we call the pulpit and i want to come to this pulpit today and i want to simply declare to this church house and the family that's sitting in here there is only one place where nothing needs to be questioned and that is the word of god when we discover that there is an increasing amount of people who are not brought up on biblical principles in their homes there are many in this generation today who never went to sunday school they they they had no positive influencers in their childhood only grief strife and all of that was found in their homes they don't understand when biblical concepts and principles are taught because they weren't raised in it is it any wonder there's a clash what makes sense to this generation does not to this one and somehow some way we are trying to inhabit planet earth together 1964. i'm going to go old school for a moment some of you young folks may like this 1964 there was a folk artist out there his name was bob dylan and he wrote a song and it said come together around people wherever you roam and admit that the waters around you have grown and accept that it's soon you'll be drenched to the bone if your time use worth saying then you better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone for times they are a-changing any bob dylan guys not me me neither but i saw this lyrics and i say wait a minute times are a-changing i stand here today with a message and i don't want anybody to misunderstand or miscomprehend what i say from this podium from this pulpit much has happened in our world yes but friend of mine there is much yet to come and if you're looking for things to go back to the way that they once were i am afraid that that ship has sailed but i did come here today to remind you all and myself of the simple fact i still believe in the word of god i still believe that god's word is forever settled and established his plan his purpose cannot be pushed aside by any society nor culture the question is do you still believe in his word do you still believe that there is a god the writer to hebrews 11 and 6 but without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to god must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him you have got to realize there's a god if you don't then everything is up for question if you don't decide right now and hear that i believe there is still a god of all creation then you're going to get lost in the waves of our society and our culture but as for me and this house we still believe in the old rugged cross we still believe in the name of jesus christ we still establish that he will reward those who run after him who seek after him he is still the god that's in control of everything his promises are written in the word are you still able to believe those promises his word still declares his glory do you still believe in his glory have we become brainwashed with what our culture is telling us to simply say if you'll just do this and do that that'll be the thing and this will be the other thing no friend i've still come to tell you when you come to jesus you better come as you are but he will not leave you in that mess he's got a plan for you his blood will forgive you of your sin his power will wash you and make you whole his joy will fill you up with an unspeakable joy he knows exactly how to fix the heart of a man he knows exactly how to fix a family and put it back together he knows how to fix any city state or nation why because it's in his word you better believe his word matthew 16 and 24 jesus said unto his disciples if any man will come after me let him y'all read that word out loud deny himself take up this cross follow me you may notice it's a red letter edition jesus said it you want to know me you want to follow me you got a cross pick it up and come on see in our world we wanted to defy a cross ain't nobody going to put me in that league in that box and that way well who are you what's your name my name is this and i'm not sure that well then where do you fit i fit out here man peace loved of i have no connection because i don't want anybody to tell me what to do if i'm saying the wrong things y'all tell me nobody's gonna tell me to show up at work at eight o'clock be clocked in ready to start work if i feel like showing up at 8 30 i will i'm gonna lie to anybody come on then we just got to feel good because they finally got up and came i've talked oh lord help me not to meddle today but help me to be a pastor today young folk you need to know something when your mom and dad's trying to teach you something they're trying to instruct you maybe in what you would call the old ways well i've come to i tell this you know what if you don't have a job go find one there's a million of them out there now hiring right well i don't want to do that to bottle i don't want to flip burgers i don't want to sweet floors i can almost promise you in our 2022 culture if you'll show up to work on time or maybe a minute early and you'll look like you're ready to work within a week or two you'll be the boss am i lying oh come on i saw the meme last week somebody saw you know now hiring if you'll just show up come on it's a different world and for some reason we're being pushed as a culture into thinking thinking that that's the way it is i've come to tell you if my children ever tried that on me i don't care how old or young i'm gonna come here get closer to me get closer to me i want to tell you something smack why because when i left my kids in their college dorm i told both of them it gives me no greater joy than to leave you in this place you know what i said my son went dad my daughter went daddy it gives me no greater joy than to put you here and leave you here my son said dad what do you mean i said i'll tell you what you're a good kid you're on time you're cognizant of your world you understand that what mom and dad's put into you has value therefore it does it it gives me such great joy to know that in this campus of 35 000 there is one that still believes in the scripture to be the word of god gives me no greater joy than to know when you fall and you hit your face and your mistakes you already know there's still an altar i can go back to and i can repent of my sin and i can get a hold of jesus i don't have to give in to the things of this world i can go back to jesus it gives me no greater joy than to know there's a holy ghost-filled child in this university campus that says i still believe in the name of jesus they're going to ask you who you're voting for come on what if no voice was out there i'm not talking politics i'm talking you vote oh jesus somebody told me one time not long ago man you can't vote your morals i said what definition of morals you got dakota morals tells you whether to pull the trigger or not morals is what tells you whether to rob the bank or not morals is what tells you whether to lie or not and you ain't gonna vote morals you want somebody running oh lord don't get me started that doesn't understand the power of morality that's why friend of mine you hear me that's why the church is still here in this hour and all the junk going on out there this nation needs you now more than ever before come on the only hope that they've got is a church that prays the only hope that god is a mom and dad praying for their kids that go out in this world come on if you're full of the holy ghost and power you can make a difference in your world you may feel like it's overwhelmed you and you've got no influence i've come to tell you where you and jesus are there's the majority one thing come on in this hour that we need to understand to matthew 24 says it like this verse 33 so likewise ye listen when ye shall see all these things know that it is near even at the doors verily i say unto you this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away but of that day and hour knoweth no man no not the angels of heaven but my father only but as the days of know it were so shall also the coming of the son of man be for as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage until the day that though he entered into the ark knew not until the flood came took them all away so shall also the coming the son of man be come on hear it verse 40 then shall two be in the field one shall be taken the other left two women shall be grinding at the mill the one shall be taken the other left watch therefore for you know not what hour your lord doth come what are you looking for are you looking for our world to be a better place and to sing all the good songs that everybody feels chills about friend every time you come into the house of the lord you bring with you everything that you've been going through all week long that's the reason why the old thomas used to say when you get to the house of the lord you better pray through that situation some of y'all need to understand the power of praying through something if i'm praying to get around something i have not learned a thing but if i'm praying while i'm going through something i'm learning devil you ain't got me yet i may be struggling with this but i'm still praying but i'm gonna make it through why because on the other side when i'm standing there i'll be victorious to realize that the horse should have took me out that the rider should have taken me out but i watched as the water of the flood came down and closed round the bottom i can stand on the other side and i can declare the lord god has delivered me from the horse and rider i'm victorious in the name of the lord that's why miriam said ladies get out your timbrel it's time to worship on the death grave of our enemy why because we came through it we weren't translated we weren't transported to the other side but every step we took we remember the good things of god are we expecting to change our world with a better plan of economics yeah we can make our world better imagine the whole world praying our giving affirmation i am a tither see all of our prayer would change wouldn't it yeah we'd be praying for that elon musk to be in our church i'm a tither who huh that's the prayer we pray therefore the enemy's curse is broken i live under an open heaven you pour out upon me so much that i can't even receive it all are you expecting to tell this world that a brighter day is coming to planet earth if you'll just simply do this and do that the only thing that you and i have friend as a church is all we've got is the word of god all we've got is the word of god so i've come today to tell somebody when you see things in our world happening it is time to begin to grasp a hold of god's promises in his word don't be dismayed in what's going on around you pastor i struggle with this or i wonder about that or i'm i'm having questions this or my family that or on the job is this and then you establish within yourself who god is to you and then you be that to this world they're going to make fun of me you better believe they will be thankful they do i said often when i was a youth pastor many hundreds of years ago i used to tell my young people this all the time if the world fits you like a jersey it's the wrong size better not fit you they better be able to know when you walk into the room things change uh you don't bring fear and doubt and all that what you bring is the holy ghost power come on i know what it's like for somebody to come up to me and say i don't know why i've for some reason i curse and i'm not cursing around you i know why because my god has sent an angel to close your mouth i've been on jobs before in the gc coming general contractor come in black believe me all i can do is whistle and beat through it all the whole conversation and he's talking to these guys like that and i'm looking at what's going on i got all my tools spread out he looks at me and he starts that with me and i said whoa whoa whoa stop right there stop right there he said excuse me i said stop right there you are not going to talk to me like you talk to them they may let you i will not he said who do you think you are who do you think i am i don't know i said let me introduce you hey i am gathering my tools i am walking off this job until you can get this guy to clean up his mouth i do not have to work in this hostile environment call me when he's gone and i was the truth i walked out the door got in my truck and drove all the way home the company that i was doing the job for i don't know i'm telling you this he called me said hey you okay i said i'm fine i said well well you go back tomorrow that job i said you know what it takes he said yeah go back he's been sent to another job are you sure yeah i'm gonna charge you for the day fine do what you got to do so i show up the next day on the job and i walk in everybody that he was cussing out the day before came by me and said i have no idea who you are i can tell you who i am i'm a nobody from nowhere bought by the blood of jesus christ now you listen to me you think it's strange that somebody comes by you and says hey i know you don't drink and party and all like that but we're gonna go out and hate why don't you just tell you know why it's because i've been baptized in the name of jesus i got nothing to be afraid nor ashamed of he did it for all of humanity it's just you have decided that you're smarter than all of humanity let me tell you something my granddaddy had a third grade education but he figured it out very fast i need jesus in my life you can have all your doctorate degrees and all your psychology degree but if you can't understand the word of god is the only thing that's going to now then you my friend that have been sucked into the lie of the enemy and you're gonna stand at judgment one day and you'll drop the gavel and simply say i never knew you come on mom and dad we try to get our kids educated we want to give them a chance in society so we put them in all these sports things we put them in all these clubs we put on all this stuff and then we do everything we can do to bend over backwards and make sure they do my wife and i tried the same thing and finally we had to decide you know what i want my kids to be successful in life but they will only be successful in life when they figure out the afterlife i am not going to be a fool and make the declaration that if you'll come into a certain place at a certain time and ring a certain bell something will happen no what i will say is simply this watch therefore that's what the bible said for you know not the hour your lord doth come who we got any watchers in the house you climb out of bed early before the sun comes up back to curtain is he here yet is he here yet we got any watchers in the house that will declare when you climb up out of the bed and you get your day going that you spend some time with the lord are you coming today if you're not lord then i pray you help me but if you are lord i pray you still help me because i realize and i know this world is not my home i'm simply coming through it lord headed to you come on you better be watching cause you don't know the dane or the hour which he's gonna come back you better be looking for the name of jesus to be magnified he's coming back with the angels we're going to be gathered up to meet him whether dead or alive but one thing is going to be sure we'll all be singing that song of redemption he set me free he set me free he set me free i have come to tell somebody today that you need to be watching and understanding when you see things happening in your world when you see things transpire look up look up get your eyes off the ground get your eyes off society and begin looking for the master revelation says this way 22 and 20. he which testify these things saith surely i come quickly amen even so come lord jesus even so come on lord jesus hey i've come to ask somebody when you see the things happening that's happening in our world you need to know something friend it is not going to get better by any man's system or society there's no way that as humanity we can better ourselves out of this what we can do though is draw closer to the word deeper in the word closer to the things of god why because all of this has to come to pass i'm not going to be foolish enough to say on this particular day at this particular hour turn this way in that way and you'll notice there he is jesus is coming back and there's 88 reasons why he should come back in 88. okay okay wait wait wait wait wasn't it last year that we also had a scare september 20 was another day did the guy come back with his other vision no no no no what i had said now i don't fault those guys they're trying at least they're on a youtube channel saying jesus is coming i know y'all realize pastor's heart you know i love you but you want to know why that i spend so much time effort and energy on lights and speakers and cameras and things uh this is a battle that i have within myself as a human as a pastor and as a as a person the greatest challenge that i find in this hour is i don't know exactly who i'm responsible for we have hundreds watch every week our messages our services y'all singing preaching and teaching you we have hundreds and hundreds watch and i don't know that if i'm responsible then to go find batman33 at yahoo.com and knock on their door hey i noticed you were on service with us i need you to give me your tithe or i need to take you and baptize you and then i don't know they may live in timbuku is this okay so i pray lord what is my responsibility because at least i know listen to me careful i'm going to share with your heart a little bit if you don't come into the house of the lord and i don't see your face guess what i'm going to do for you i'm going to pray and i'm going to wonder why didn't they come back to church today and and and i might send you a text and say missed you at church sunday smiley face hands praying and then i might get a response back that says thumbs up thumbs up everybody gets those for me right pastor i love you i hope you have a great day during the pandemic it was right let's say hang on hang on to me because invariably this is the conversation that happens at my house sweetie so-and-so wasn't there today i said i know babe i don't i don't know why they didn't come you think they're okay i certainly pray they are you mean you didn't hear from him i didn't and i hear my bride then in her prayer time lord touch that family or that individual i don't know why they missed church but i know that you can still somehow get them into your presence now to the one who doesn't show up at church and doesn't consider it to be considerate to at least let somebody know to that one what do they think i i don't have to let anybody know they they probably won't miss me anyway they probably won't even know that i wasn't there or they'll understand that i'm busy or i got things to do and so this is how i translate what my wife's saying and i'm saying and what people are i'm guessing thinking is it'd be kind of like trying to send an emoji of a thumbs up but the thumb's missing and i don't know where the thumb went is this too basic so instead of you getting one of these you'd get one of these and now you wonder why is he mad about to punch me out i'm not i just wish i knew where the thumb was when it's a family of four family of five family whatever misses instead of waving to me if some of the pieces are missing i don't know what finger i'm gonna get because that's the way i feel my god don't they realize the power of your word and they'll never make it to you if they're not interested in making it to you here preacher you're saying i should never miss church that's up to you you know what it takes to keep you sane i'd be scared to death to miss three or four services in a row i wouldn't know where i stood i'd have to re-acquaint myself with folk because i wouldn't know my mom and dad used to say it this way sisters probably the same as your mom dad i don't want to miss church because i don't know what i'll miss someone so i've been praying for them they may show up and i'm not there i've been praying for healing for that one and i don't i don't want to miss seeing that miracle happen when you see things happening in the word like they are now you better know things are going to transpire yes but even so lord come come on we're looking for you how's he gonna find you friend is he gonna find you like this where are you at lord where are you jesus where are you jesus i'm hungry for you i'm thirsty for you i'm looking for you my soul pants for you my my innermost god is hungry for you i know you're coming back to take us i know every generation that has died to this point died saying i just knew that i'd see the second coming of the lord i heard my grandmother on her death bed say i thought for sure he would come before i died stand with me please i'm looking for jesus how about you when you see things happening you better know that you know the coming of the lord is soon at hand so this is the question for today and what have you seen in the word what have you seen in your prayer life i i feel i feel something changing in the way that i pray anybody else am i the lone guy here i feel something pushing and and war and when i sit in my prayer chair in the early morning and i i sit there and i stare out the darkness of the window and i'm i'm talking to the lord i'm sitting there saying god there's such a battle out there thank you for the serenity of my chair but i feel something and i'm not sure how or what to do with it god help me to stay faithful to you help me to stay faithful to the things of god why because it's easy to get distracted with the distractions and to forget what it's all about so i'll ask you today on this sunday at 1 18 in the afternoon is there anybody willing to come to an altar today and say lord i've come today to make sure that i'm established because what i see in your word is saying you're coming you're coming i don't want to get so caught up in my life and my family and all the things and all the stuff that i forget this all is going to burn with fire but you're coming after me if i'm looking for you is there anybody that will come and pray that on anybody that'll just get out of your chair and say lord i've got to get away from where i'm standing and i've got to come to a place where i can make that conscious choice and decision i i've come to love you jesus i've come searching for you jesus come on would you pray that prayer he's going to play a song for you come on come on spend time with him lord i need you i see god that your word is being fulfilled even right now today lord things are happening and i don't want to be distracted i don't want my life lord to me nothing i don't want to forget it all i want to know that i'm standing for you in judgment and you say to me well done i'm looking for well done i'm looking for well done oh jesus jesus jesus jesus come on pray come on you know how pray open your mouth pray come on young folk pray come on mom and dad get a hold of god right now lord i've come to love you i've come to love you i've come to love you jesus that's right come on in the name of jesus jesus i need you come on that's right church come on friend that's right if you don't have the holy ghost you can receive it right now jesus jesus jesus i want to know you lord i want to have fellowship with you come on pray get ahold of god right now lord i've come to love you that's right that's right that's right come lord jesus oh that's right that's right come on make it worth it i want to know you lord i want to know your lord i want to know your lord oh i'm looking for you jesus come on that's right when you see these things happen reach to him call for him that's right reach for him jesus with jesus jesus jesus jesus yes lord yes jesus jesus jesus we don't we don't know about tomorrow do we i mean we're not sure but we do know what the word says that he's coming so before you go home today i want to ask you i want to challenge you would you find two or three church family and encourage them with that promise jesus is coming it's going to be all right come on you don't have to scare anybody into an altar i i know old i know that's what my pastor made he used to preach hellfire and brimstone i could smell the sulfur man i was scared to death close my eyes to sleep at night because i knew that was it but here i stand now i'm that old guy does that mean hellfire brimstone is not true yeah it's true more now today than ever but listen to me friend without the repentance and baptism in jesus name and the infilling of the holy ghost evidence speaking in tongues like the scripture says guess what you'll you'll never be able to grasp a hold of heaven that's it that's just your testimony so pray that right now lord help me to understand and comprehend your plan so that i'll begin to look lord god for your appearing and then help me lord god as i live in this world lord don't be distracted and discouraged by the things of our world but help me lord to realize it's all part of the plan and right now more than ever before i've got to embrace the reality of heaven the reality of heaven grab somebody's hand right now would you let's pray one for another lord as we leave this place today i pray that the working power of the spirit of god would go with us and continue to speak to hearts and lives without you lord god we are nothing but with you lord jesus with you lord god we have the promise of eternity i pray god for every heart in every home every family that's represented in this room today those watching online god i i pray for each one lord that somehow a hunger and a thirst would grasp a hold of us and pull us into that place god of searching for you oh god i know you're protecting the church your hand is upon the church and only you know the future of it but god we're going to hold on to you and love and worship you through everything bless our week this week lord i pray give us guidance and direction lord to share with somebody the testimony of what you've done in our lives we love you jesus we proclaim your glory in this world as we worship and love you in our daily lives we're going to come back together this week lord i plead your blood over the church lead and guide us in the plain path let us hunger and thirst for the things of god and discover you every step that we take let god be god in this hour the name of jesus the name of jesus told me to you lord pull me to you draw me to you jesus let me understand you lord and embrace you jesus holding to you before you go home would you just love him one more time come on lift hearts and hands unto heaven i thank you lord i love you lord i love you lord jesus i love you hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah name jesus name in jesus name in jesus name i love all of you i believe in you god's doing so many great things in this church i challenge anybody in here if you're if you've got just a moment i challenge you to ask somebody their testimony anybody wants to know ask sister kim what she's been going through she'll encourage the snot out of you ask sister karen what she's been
