The Drawing Power of the Holy Ghost

I want a touch from him again today I want his presence in my life I want to leave this place renewed recharged in the power of the Holy Ghost praise God praise God oh it's good to be in the house of the Lord amen look at your neighbor and said I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord because here you can see what's down the road you can see what God has for his people

turning our attention right to the word of God today take your Bibles we'll turn to the book of Second Kings we'll be reading with verse 5 through 7 I appreciate the beautiful singing today appreciate the word worship of God I'm just happy to be in the house of God today another day to serve him setting of this scripture is that the sons of the prophets they needed to enlarge their place of worship or their Abode where they lived and they took they went down to the river to cut down some wood the Bible says in verse 5 but as one was failing a beam as one was chopping down to get a nice uh piece of wood to build a nice house or whatever they wanted to do the axe head fell into the water and he cried and said alas Master for it was borrowed he was chopping down that wood that ax head fell into the water sank into the depths of old muddy Jordan he cried oh Master it's borrowed I'd borrowed it it's not even my own and then the man of God did a incredible Miracle All Through the Bible there are Miracles and once again here's an example of a beautiful Miracle he said where did it fall and he showed him the place went down right here the Bible says he cut down a stick he went and got a branch off the woods cut it down off the tree cast it thither he threw it into the river and the nature of the iron the nature of the axe had changed was drawn from the bottom of the depths of that River and it said it did swim therefore said he take it up to thee and he put out his hand and he took it

I want to preach to you today on the drawing of the Holy Ghost the drawing power of the Holy Ghost let's thank him for his word Lord I Thank you for your word I thank you for every promise that you have given us exceeding great and precious promises Lord we are partakers of your divine nature you said you'd never leave us nor forsake us God that you would be a guide all the way to the end and Lord I pray that your word will go forth you would challenge Us in this day that we live in God that you would be glorified Lord let us receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save our soul and we give you the glory and praise in Jesus name amen God bless you you may be seated

today they were taken and they were chopping down trees the ax head went into the water that ax head was borrowed could I present to you today that you are living on borrowed time all right no man knows the day or the hour or the departure our times are in his hands the scripture says time is something that God has allotted to us we're living on borrowed time any possession that I I have is just lent to me for a period of time but there will come the day that we will have to let it go any talent that God has given any one of us there will come a day that we will give an account to what we have done with our abilities our talents that God has entrusted in US opportunities we live on borrowed opportunities and today is the day of salvation today is a new day that we have the opportunity to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain help in the time of need time possessions talents opportunities the scripture even goes on to say ye are not your own ye have been bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body and in your Spirit which belong to God everything that we have everything that God has entrusted with us uh every blessing that you have got from the throne of grace uh he has given you that and and we belong to him we are not our own we are borrowed property and we belong to him he has purch us us purchased us with Precious Blood the Bible calls us a purchased possession he says we are his workmanship are his Masterpiece that he is perfecting until the day that he says I want you to come up a little higher workmanship created unto good works uh he designed that his Masterpiece the church uh that we would have good works uh that we would do what is right that we would obey him in this day and hour and then will come the day that there will be the ultimate drawn of the power of God and the Bible says in a moment and a twinkling of an eye we're going to be caught up uh praise God we're going to be caught up in the air with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord the drawing power of God Almighty

I was thinking about those astronauts today that are up in the uh International Space Station they are 254 miles up above the Earth uh and they are traveling according to St Statistics over 17,500 miles per hour and they have a problem they can't get from point A to point B because something is wrong with their ride did you know that in the universe in Earth uh on the in the moon around the Moon around all the planets there is no such thing as zero gravity everything is moving everything is in motion everything is part of being drawn from one place to another in fact the very point that you could sit down on a chair today and you're not floating around bumping your heads on the ceiling is because of gravity because you are drawn to this earth uh oh praise God but there's going to come a day that God is going to change everything uh Immortal will put on immortality and corrupt will put on incorruption and then will brought forth the saying death will be swallowed up in Victory uh there is Victory ahead uh it is in Christ Jesus that we have the Victory and God is the one who is able to do it uh and there will come a day that we will be changed

he took the stick that he cut down and he throw it threw it into the water it's interesting that uh the title of our Lord and savior our Messiah he is known as the branch the one that would come out of the root of Jesse uh the one that would be the servant the scripture says uh he was the righteous Branch a king shall reign and prosper and he shall execute judgment and Justice in the earth uh if you could picture in your mind here was this axe head uh in its very nature it was designed to sink to the bottom of Muddy Jordan River but you see when the branch touched uh the Water Everything Changes praise God I'm here to tell you God changes life lives uh I'm a changed person you're a changed person we're in the process he's drawing us closer uh we're conforming unto His Image uh being changed from glory to glory uh what he has started in you he is able to perform it until that day uh we are in a process uh don't isolate yourself uh don't get away from the people of God but love God's people oh it's a common salvation the scripture says it is shared by all the same holy ghost that draws you and it lead you and and it gives you strength as the same power I'm so dependent upon myself but he cut down that Branch the righteous Branch uh he is the Lord our righteousness uh being found in him uh not having my own righteousness uh but the righteousness that is of Faith uh praise God my own filthy righteous Rags uh could not be clean enough uh we need his righteousness uh that's why the scripture says such were some of you but now you've been washed uh you've been Sanctified you've been Justified how in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our god it still takes water baptism in Jesus name it still takes takes the infilling of the Holy Ghost uh John the Baptist John said in the Book of John it said except the man be born again of the water and of the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God Marvel not ye must be born again that new birth uh praise God praise God Amen the Bible says uh that our Nature has been changed uh we become new creatures uh

look what the scripture says concerning new creatures over in the book of uh uh 2 Corinthians it says therefore If any man be in Christ he is a new creature the old things are passed away behold all things have become new uh it is the creative act of God he is constantly working on you he is constantly drawing you to him uh oh oh don't fight against what he's doing uh allow your spirit uh allow your flesh to be submitted to him all things are of God who hath reconciled us to himself uh by Jesus Christ and hath given unto us the ministry of reconciliation I am a product today of the ministry of reconciliation you are a product today somebody was used in this process uh of the drawing back uh this good news of the Gospel plan that's why in verse 19 it says to wit that God was in Christ uh reconciling the world unto himself that's the beautiful Plan of Salvation is that God would draw all men unto himself uh he was reconciling the word unto himself uh not imputing their trespasses he wasn't charging to their account uh and letting them die in their sins uh but he was offering the Fountain of of forgiveness uh the bomb of Gilead for healing uh the savior of our souls to help every one of us and the Bible says uh and that he was not imputing their trespasses unto them I'm so glad he didn't charge it to my account and said you failed me and now you've got to go to a devil's hell but he could forgive and remove sin as far as the East is from the West uh he could cast my sins into the depths of the sea he can cast your sins in the depths of the sea and subdue them and remember them no more the Bible says now then we are ambassadors by Christ we are the representatives of this good old gospel plan uh heyen this gospel plan is new today it's good news but guess what uh I'm a debtor I owe a great debt uh you owe a great debt as Paul said uh he has done so much for you you owe a great debt he said I am not ashamed Are you ashamed of the presence of the Lord today no Are you ashamed of what he has done is it hard to come into the house of God and lift up holy hands without wrath or doubt and bless him in the sanctuary oh let us not be ashamed uh it is the power of God and to Salvation he also said I'm ready uh I'm ready to preach the gospel I'm ready to share the good news news every day every one of us has the opportunity to share the good news and be a part of this glorious gospel plan of reconciling man back unto God God is in the business of drawing Humanity God is in the business of working to bring man back into harmony with him and he uses the church uh he uses the body of Christ how shall they know that they are disciples by how we show love one to another do you remember the lady that was coming by and she said I was driving by in my road my vehicle and just something told me and said you need to go in there why because the people of God were praying the people of God were worshiping the people of God were creating an atmosphere where God is working great things and she came into this church and got baptized in Jesus name she said it drew me in uh praise God God is in the drawing business and he loves every one of us uh and the scripture goes on to say be ye reconciled unto God and he was made sin for us who knew no sin the righteous one the one who knew no sin the one was a sinless sacrifice uh he became the sin offering so that I could walk in Liberty who whom the son has set free is free in indeed he could give every one of us freedom to serve him praise God that we may be made the righteousness of God in him it's through him praise God

so when that stick went into the water when that Branch went into the water all of a sudden the nature the very nature of that ax head changed that axe head had a purpose it had to be sharpened uh prior to falling in the water in order to cut down trees uh let me tell you there is a purpose for every one of us uh God has a purpose for your life uh amen and he he came to seek and to save that which was lost uh he is the great one amen he is the one that cares about every one of us uh and he wants us to come out from among them be ye separate touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you he said and I will be a father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughter sayith the almighty wherefore having these promises uh these precious promises uh let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh perfecting Holiness in the fear of God oh help me to serve you in sincerity and Truth uh God is wanting his people to come out uh from from sin come out from those things that offend come out from the weights that hold you down the lust of other things the cares of the world the deceitfulness of riches these things are drawing Humanity they are pulling at the heartstrings of man but God said I want you to come out I want you to come out and come to me because I'm drawing you with

my spirit John 12 in verse 32 he said and I if I be lifted up from the earth I will draw all men unto me amen God is in the drawing business God is in the Gathering business amen he is uh in the he wants to bring forth those from the grave one day amen there's going to be a drawing there's going to be a gathering there's going to be a rising uh there's going to be those those that are caught up and then there's going to be the presentation oh praise God uh amen uh with Earnest expectation uh Desiring to see the manifestations of the sons of God when we receive our rewards on that day when we stand before him uh and you hear those words words well done thou good and faithful servant it's going to come to pass one day I'm going to stand before him and I'm going to give an account what I've done in my body amen and uh one day we will rest from our labors but our works will follow us uh what we did in this life oh the spirit of God is drawing once again to a closer walk uh he's drawing you to your secret place of prayer he's drawing you to searching the scriptures for they testify of him and in them you shall find eternal life he is drawing you to study to show thy self approved unto God a Workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of Truth he is see is searching and he's calling you to come to the house of prayer to come to the house of worship to come to a place where you submit uh to come to a place where he has the five-fold ministry gifts given to you your pastor is a gift given to you he is given it to you he's a Watchman for your soul he cares and he preaches truth thank God for men that will stand for Truth uh in a day where there is a departure from the faith and men are given heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils but he was lifted up in order to draw all men unto us he was delivered for our offenses and he was raised for our justification he came to seek and to save that which was lost you know what God wants most of all he wants fellowship with you he wants to walk with you just like a man in the Old Testament en knoch walk with God and then there came the day it said he was not why that's the almighty just drew him up come on be with me one day you're going to walk with God and it might be your last day and then you're going to come up before him and you're going to give an account of what you've done I want to receive my full reward I want to receive what he has I have not seen nor ear hath heard neither has it entered into the hearts of men the things that God has prepared for his people but he's revealed it to us through the Spirit uh the earnest of our inheritance it's a taste of what is to come the first down payment installment of what's to come eternity is going to be worth it all and every one of us are a part of Eternity is drawn every one of us at this point praise God he is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world neither is there salvation in any other for there is none under name no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved that the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord

that's why in Acts 238 the command was given to repent and be baptized in jesus' name if you're here today and you have not been baptized in Jesus name you have a pastor that will baptize you in jesus' name why for the remission of sins oh so that there can be the eradication the full removal the Forgiveness the dismissal of sins uh and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost uh This Promise is for all it is to you and to your children and those that are far off that is Chattanooga praise God it is for them uh even as many as the Lord Our God shall call how many has he called he's called all to repentance I'm not willing that any should perish but all would come to repentance praise God

Titus talks about it in the word of God he said uh in verse 11 the grace of God that bringeth salvation ha appeared unto all men and in this portion of scripture he says you need to Adorn the doctrine it's not just hear it or just think about it I've got to put it on I've got to work on the fruit of the spirit and cast off the works of darkness uh I've got to put on these things uh and I've got to put off some things uh and let me tell you it's a lifelong thing and God is drawing his people come on uh I want you to do these things uh I want you to Adorn the doctrine of God our savior in all things in verse 10 in verse 11 it says for this grace that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all men teaching us allow the grace of God to teach you uh Grace that is is is received is is able to teach you my dad once told me about someone excuse me and he said these words that person doesn't have a teachable spirit in other words they didn't want to listen I don't want to hear it uh don't allow your spirit to get to a place where you can't receive receive correction don't allow your your spirit to get to a place that you come into the house of God and it's just another service and we go through the motions and and I'll go out the door and it's all right I've got another day this could be our last day because today is the day of salvation God is drawing right now he's saying come unto me all ye that labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest learn of me let me teach you let me instruct you uh my yoke is easy and my burden is light and you shall find rest for your Souls praise God that we should deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world looking for that blessed hope that blessed hope is coming that one day he's going to draw his people Oh Brother Sam mentioned Shiloh earlier unto him shall the Gathering be the one to whom it belongs oh I belong to him uh the church is a purchased possession we're not our own we belong to him and to him shall the Gathering be uh praise God and he's going to gather all amen from All Nations tribes uh uh kindreds and tongues he's going to bring them all together and he is the one that will take care of us uh that holy ghost power that is drawing amen that Holy Ghost that loves you and is working on you the spirit of God is drawing but I must beware in the word of God concerning what the scripture says because we live in a day that there's a fallen away we live in a day that there's a departure from the faith individuals given heed to seduc and spirits and doctrines of devils we live in a day where they are fallen from Grace the scripture talks about uh amen a day that the Lord W warned us not being hot or cold if you're lukewarm uh oh don't let me be lukewarm just uh oh I'll just get enough to to have a comfortable bath in at our little shower it's lukewarm no if you go get a bath or shower you want hot water praise God but because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall advance to be cold God don't let my heart grow hard and cold and the Bible talked about apostasy and backsliding withdrawing instead of allowing the spirit to draw let me not withdraw and think more convenient season like they said in the book of Acts I'll hear from you but let me love you and receive the love of the truth and not reject the truth scripture talks about steps grieve not the Holy Spirit whereby you are sealed into the day of Redemption how can I grieve the spirit I ignore his presence his voice his influence his leading I resist the spirit no submission Pastor don't tell me what to do I'll do it my way nobody is going to tell me I'm going to resist I'm going to do it my way but God's calling for humility humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and he'll exalt you in due season stubbornness Rebellion no repentance quench in the spirit I suppress there suppression I suppress it I put adverse material on the fire instead of stirring it up I'm pouring cold water on it I'm wondering what other people think of me and I'm timid I I'm shy oh that if the men of this church could just get a hold of God if you might be a shy person or something and oh I'm going to do what God is telling me to do I'm going to take my children and I'm going to come to an altar and I'm going to pray and I'm going to lead by example the men of God are the ones to stand up and lead by example but I'm going to resist it because I I'm worried about what people think I'm worried about peer pressure or someone might think I'm just not at a certain place with you let me tell you it doesn't matter what other people think you're going to stand before God by yourself you got to seek him with all of your heart you got to love him with all your heart oh allow the little children to come unto me it's their Kingdom it's their their blessing it's for them too the Bible says we do despite unto the spirit of Grace insult over in the book of Hebrews it talks about they have trotten underfoot the blood of Jesus Christ and they have called it Unholy as an Unholy thing let me tell you something it's still Precious Blood and I don't want to tiptoe around the blood I want to be immersed in the blood I don't want to walk on the blood through disregard of The Commandments saying I want to walk in my own ways and walk in the flesh and do what I want but I want to be careful that I'm not resisting and I'm not grieving and I'm not quench quenching and I'm not doing despite to the spirit of Grace because why he is the one who is drawing us he's drawing you to a closer walk with him he is draw drawn you to a place with him and the Bible says uh They Crucified themselves in the book of Hebrews the Son of God AR fresh and they put him to an open shame I don't want to crucify him again I don't want to put him on a cross uh he went to that cross where that wood attached to my Fallen nature uh thank God for the cross uh they hung him on a tree it was an Old Rugged Cross uh that we identify with uh it's a place that we die out to sin it's a place of repentance uh it's a place of turning around and identifying with him and being obedient Hebrews chapter 10 in verse 38 says the just shall live by faith but if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure in him God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked God has no Pleasure in someone who turns upon them he stands at the door and he's knocking once again on our hearts saying who's going to let me in I'm drawing but you're going to have to come on in praise God you're going to have to open the door praise God it says but we are not of them who draw back to predition what's behind us what is if one backslides it's ption destruction but we go on We Believe to the saving of the soul

I wonder if we could stand today as our musicians come the draw and power of the Holy Ghost I don't want to resist I don't want to grieve I don't want to quench despite our depart Bible says he delivered us from so great a death and he doth deliver and in whom we trust he will yet deliver the past the present and the future if you will look back on your life he's delivered you from so great a death he has brought us out of Darkness Into His Marvelous Light but I want to focus on the right now now he doth deliver today is the day of salvation today is another day I wonder if we could come and find a place to pray today I want you to talk to the Lord I want you to call upon him and I'm not going to worry about tomorrow because I Trust You Lord that you will yet deliver you're going to take care of tomorrow Lord I'm going to work on the Deliverance right now draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you oh praise God he's in the drawing business Holy Ghost draw us closer Lead Me Lord and I will follow we can't do it without you come and pray and talk to the Lord today you are sharpened for a reason you are that axe head that has been brought out of the depths of sin and you are a sharpened Stone you're sharpened metal to give God the glory let's give him the glory today he is the one that in the dispensation of the fullness of times he's going to gather together in one all things in Christ he's going to bring it together oh can we love them as they begin to sing if you need a prayer if you you need something from the Lord come and we'll pray for you but oh let's all talk to the Lord if you need the Holy Ghost God could fill you with the Holy Ghost God could touch you today oh the draw power of the Holy Ghost I submit myself to you praise God praise God let's continue to pray as our pastor comes today in Jesus name
