The Water of Baptism in Jesus Name

are you glad to be in the house of the Lord I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord amen we want to go into the word of God praise God at 7:13 we want to share some scriptures with you amen and let me say you know whether you have your Bible you have wood you might have wood today I I like wood I like paper I I like we have our technology today our glass you can learn the word of God via 30 different types of chemicals or Metals it's all complicated me but you can find the word of God on that and also and I brought something else I wanted to share with you and back in the day they would do it on Stone we've come a long ways haven't we but this is a prayer book from over in Africa and you can come look at it after church this is estimated anywhere between 3 to 400 years old and it's very old and it has some pictures of descript uh depictions of who Jesus might be don't think he really looks like that angels and Mary and the were Orthodox church and this came from Ethiopia so it would be the Coptic church but you see over the years the message was passed down and here we are in this day and age we've got the latest technology you can come and look at that after church be careful with it children amen but um here it is in this day and age we have great technology knowledge has increased amen God give us a love for biblical truth let us be grounded in the word of God and that's what I want to do with you I want to share the word of God our subject is spread and we are talking about the doctrine amen the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ The Gospel plan the good news of our Lord and savior praise God are you happy to be here tonight amen if you have your Bibles or if you have your technology or might want to come up here and use this Stone one if you don't if you forgot to bring your Bible it might be hard to understand but follow along with us amen Acts chapter 2 this is our Foundation this is who we are this is how we launched into this this is the springboard amen Acts chapter 2 and verse 37 now when they heard this amen I appreciate uh uh Brother Gibson preaching and teaching on repentance and I looked at that and saw that and uh uh the plan of repentance now we're going to look into water baptism Amen in Jesus name how many of you can wave your hand and say I was glad that I got baptized in jesus' name and tonight let me say you might be familiar with this and you might be able to quote this all and and read it backwards but my challenge to you and the challenge to me in this hour we are to share this uh we are to expound unto those more perfectly as they did in the book of Acts we are to walk in wisdom to those that are without Redeeming the time let our speech be always with Grace seasoned with salt that we might know how we ought to answer every man those that ask you ask you a reason of the hope that lith within you so I want to lay this Foundation to you tonight and I do not bring anything new I just want to bring the word of God to you amen verse 37 when they heard this what uh the message uh the one whom they have crucified is both Lord and Christ uh they were pricked in their hearts and they said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and Brethren what shall we do the familiar scripture then said then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost repentance water baptism in Jesus name the infilling of the Holy Ghost you say well I I know that and I'm familiar with that get really familiar with it because the Lord wants you to share that with somebody a door will open where you can speak a word of wisdom to those that are in need and that's the challenge to us so I am here once again to reinfor reinforce the biblical principles in the word of God we've got to love this Truth uh I don't want the alternative I do not want to believe a lie and be damned uh I want to receive the love of the truth because this truth is designed to do what it is designed to bring love into your life uh this gospel plan is good news to humanity and that's what we need to embrace and in a day of perplexity in a day of change in times in a day that the word of God is being watered down there needs to be a clear voice in the word of God and you are that voice praise God so the principles of the word of God water baptism in Jesus name and to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to those that are far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call my desire has been for my children my daughter here tonight that she would adhere to this Doctrine my desire is my granddaughter would adhere to this Doctrine and uh benefit from what God has ordained praise God this is for our children and to all those that are far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call he has called all to repentance uh he has called all whosoever will let him come to the Fountain and drink uh he's not willing that any should perish but all would come to repentance and with many other words verse 40 did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untar generation you've got to save yourself from this crooked this perverse uh this curved morally forward generation we live in a wicked generation we live in a time when artificial intelligence is indoctrinating people and this is where an individ idual that has the truth can proclaim the truth of God praise God what did they do they gladly received his word and were baptized amen all through the book of Acts we're going to look at these principles where people were baptized and the same day there were added unto them about 3,000 Souls it got busy amen you know it it just wasn't disciples only bapt there's about a whole bunch of baptizing going on and amen I want to see that amen I want to see the day where there's long lines can you believe that amen that there's long lines and there's a deep desire of hunger for the word of God let me throw something in while I'm thinking about it my wife's uncle for many many years he was of a persuasion he was a DI hard and you can put the P the the name of the the brand in there you could put whatever you want but he was a die hard and in his knowledge of the word of God that's all he knew but he got on his deathbed and he began to search uh and he was not happy with his walk with God he felt there was something more to know and it wasn't long he contacted my wife's dad my father-in-law and he began to inquire about this Jesus name baptism and he sought in the word of God and but he had to hear someone explain it and to expound upon it and to enlarge it and so here he was on his deathbed and they didn't know what to do he couldn't get them down to a river or to the baptismal tank so they literally went into the bathroom they dismantled the glass shower and all of that stuff they took it out of the way filled that bathtub and it was full and then he was baptized in Jesus name and it wasn't too long after that that he departed amen another a another Uncle of hers uh uh he was uh the same scenario and he got to a place and and he said I need to be baptized he started thinking about I'm going to make meet my maker and and I've got to be baptized and he was baptized by her dad in the bathtub also these are the two uncles uh in the bathtub there and he got the Holy Ghost there praise God thank God for that and you say well the deathbed uh repentance and you know whether it's death repentance are it's repentance right now what it just matters let's do it amen let's be a part of it but they went to somebody he found somebody that could explain the word to him it takes people I stand before you a recipient of a grandma Who Loved God because she raised my dad who was going to be placed in an orphanage and to be raised as an altar boy and eventually he was going to go into Catholicism but my grandma got a hold of that little baby and raised him and I'm a recipient of somebody who stood for this truth amen and someone had to baptize me and someone had to baptize you someone had to explain it to you and that's the wonderful thing about this it is the opportunity and challenge that we all have is to share this truth amen it said and they continued steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine breaking of bread and in prayers praise God now we're going to look at some more scriptures in the book of Acts and I want to find my little piece of paper that I write things down on all the time sometimes I lose it it fell where'd it go I'm getting blind to my left man I am blind look at that thank God for someone who got a sharp eye man you going to eat good the rest of the week praise God John chapter 3 the new birth amen John chapter 3 and we'll look at verse three Jesus was very clear to Nicodemus and he begin to explain uh what Nicodemus must do verse three Jesus answered and said unto him verily verily truly truly I say unto thee except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God Nicodemus saith unto him how can a man be born when he is old can he enter the second time into his his mother's womb and be born Jesus answered verily verily truly truly I say unto thee except a man be born of the water and of the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is Spirit Marvel not that I say unto thee ye must be born again amen this this portion of scripture needs to be taught it needs to be preached that there is the new birth consisting of water and spirit it goes beyond the natural birth he he was confused with that he he wondered if he could enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born he he was confused uh but the fact of the matter is Jesus explained to him you've got to be born again and it takes the water and the spirit Marvel not don't try to figure it out don't well I wonder how I can do this or do that ye must be born again people have to have the new birth amen and it is the same plan that we always preach this great plan of Acts 238 amen let's look at the Great commission Matthew 28 amen and verse 18- 20 this is either the Great Commission or it is the great Omission to some some it will be a great commission to be a part of and do are some it will be the great Omission they will leave that out of their lives Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto me in Heaven and Earth notice that he has all power in heaven and in Earth go ye therefore and teach All Nations the challenge to the church once again the challenge to you as an individual is to be a part of this truth going into all nations uh many missionaries have gone out of America into many countries uh there are uh missions just beyond this wall of this church uh it is a great field the field is the world uh amen and we are to take this truth to many hearts amen go into all the world teach All Nations baptizing them in the name notice that is singular and we will tie in Matthew with Mark and Luke in the Great Commission and understand that it is to be baptized in Jesus name in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost uh and that's where we baptize in Jesus name amen he said I came in my father's name uh amen praise God there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved it is the saving name praise God speak the name amen pray over the sick in the name pray over your food in the name you're driving down the road Lord protect me in jesus' name whatsoever thou doest in word or In Deed do all in the name of Jesus so here the command to go baptize in that name and he goes on to say teaching them to observe all things uh I want you to teach them to observe all things what oh it's a good look at the clouds they look nice today oh look maybe it's going to rain or man you know I wonder what's going on down at Walmart there's a good cell no teach them them what I have commanded you teach them that they would uh uh adhere to and continue in my word if you want the teachings of the Lord you've got to go to it you've got to go to the doctrine of the mountain Matthew uh 5 six and 7even they were astonished at the doctrine but they had to go to the top of the mountain to get it it's not for those who just want to Walt uh well I'll just kind of take it as it come you've got to go after this uh you've got to love this with all their heart you've got to love this truth Lord uh I want to love this truth I want to observe all things what you said in your word uh if you can live according to Matthew 56 and 7 you're doing a great job amen because that's part of the doctrine because it said they were astonished at his Doctrine but those who don't want to climb the mountain they're not going to be able to go there they're not going to be able to experience that it takes effort praise God he said I want you to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I Am With You Always even unto the end of the world he said he had never leave us nor forsake us uh I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread amen he will not forsake you he that endureth into the end the such shall be saved uh but you're not enduring alone he's a friend that sticketh closer than a brother he's a very present help in the time of need amen he is one who is there at the mention of his name like in the book of Acts if you'll just reach out he's not and feel after him he's not very far from every one of us and where two or three are gathered in his name he's there in the midst thereof all these promises we have in the word of God but you've got to go after it praise God praise God let's go on Mark 16 and verse vers 15- 18 amen he he he he he got on to them for their unbelief and Hardness of Heart uh there are times that God might get on to you for your unbelief and Hardness of Heart Lord I believe help mine unbelief Lord and and I I want to be obedient I don't want a a hard heart I want a soft Heart Lord I want a pliable Heart Lord uh You Are The Potter I Am The Clay and I don't want to get so hard you can't constantly and keep keep on working me on me God is going to work on every one of us all of our lives and the greatest thing that we can do is submit ourselves to him humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and he will exalt you in due season praise God here is the great challenge again we tie this in with Matthew the Great Commission here it is in Mark once again it's the Great Commission not the great Omission we live in a world where this has become an Omission I don't have time for that I've got to go chase this dream uh I've got to go chase Mammon uh I've got to go chase the lust of the flesh the lust of the eye and the pride of life but this is the Great Commission to the church uh this is the great challenge to every one of us go ye into all the world every time a Sunday school teacher is teaching the children in Sunday school they're going into the world and they're instructing those children not knowing how far the implication of the name being placed into their spirit will go uh I recall things from Sunday school teachers that put in my spirit when I was a little boy and I still hold on to those today things that have been implanted to you I didn't arrive in this just on my own uh it was people that touched my life and it is people that will touch your life and we need one another all through the word of God it talks about one another praise God there's a purpose for that amen praise God go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to Every Creature he that believeth and is baptized here's this word again baptism he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned uh so this commission is for the saved and it is a commission and it is a warning to the damned it is a warning to those who have rejected Truth uh amen it's a clear warning that there will be those that will be damned I do not want to face damnation I do not want to face a dam a devil's hell I do not want to be a part of the second death or Eternal separation from God uh I want life uh I want Abundant Life uh you want life you want Abundant Life hold on to the principles uh hold on to the word of God there's a day there's a time has come they will not en uh endure sound Doctrine uh but they will Heap to themselves teachers having itching ears there are so many teachers out today in this world uh amen and a lot of it is in the media and in the the social scenes the social media and how the indoctrination is coming but here in the body of Christ and in the word of God and Pastor who loves you he's going to give a clear sound this is truth walk ye in it this is the way praise God praise God I want to love TR with all my heart soul mind and strength uh because God is truth his word is truth amen uh and these signs shall follow them that believe amen there are signs there's the evidence in the P of the pudding Amen in my name they shall cast out Devils they shall speak speak with new tongues uh they shall take up serpents uh do I encourage you to take up serpents what does the word of God say Luke 10 and 19 I will give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions uh and all of the power of the enemy and nothing can hurt you he gives you Authority and Power To Tread upon the things that would attack you that would attack your family and how is that power come that cow power come building up yourselves on your Most Holy Faith praying in the Holy Ghost amen you shall receive power that the Holy Ghost has come upon you our weapons are not M are carnal But Mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds casting down imaginations and every High thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity ever thought Through The Obedience of Christ I've got to bring this mind into obedience uh I've got to allow this mind to be brought into him his Plan of Salvation and his ordained way praise God he gives you power to tread upon all the enemy amen Peter what did he do with a snake he shook it off in the fire amen praise God if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them if something comes upon you if you've get attacked and you think well it's going to destroy me no amen nothing shall harm you uh perfect love casteth out all fear we're not given unto the spirit of fear but Power love and a sound mind God give me a sound mind give me your power to endure the things that we are going to face in the coming days they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover praise God Amen and they went forth the Bible says in verse 20 and they preached everywhere the Lord working with them and confirming the words with signs following let me tell you God's working with you amen we are labors together with him uh one comes along and plants uh another Waters but God gives the increase uh I can't give no increase but I can do my plant and I can do a little water and and I can plant some seed and God will give the increase praise God praise God let's look at Luke chapter 24 in verse 44 these are the words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you these are the words of Jesus that all things must be fulfilled think about that everything has a fulfillment and if there's a promise any promise in the word of God there has to be a fulfillment the promise that he never would leave you nor forsake you that's a promise with a fulfillment he's going to carry you all the way amen he's never going to leave us destitute he's not going to leave us in a place where we don't know what way to go oh we might have hard times uh there might be shaking ground uh but we've got a solid foundation and he's going to take care of his people amen praise God all things must be fulfilled I like it that word all all scriptures given by inspiration of God it is profitable to you for Doctrine for reproof for correction for instruction and righteousness that the man of God or the woman of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works uh that God would give us everything that pertaineth to life and godliness uh we've got everything that we need we've just got to exercise it we've just got to keep on doing it uh we've just got to run and obtain praise God then open he their understanding that they might understand the scripture Lord open my eyes that I might see wondrous things out of the law amen psalmist David said oh open them and close me and and let them not be closed to see the way more perfectly amen we we are living in in perilous times there there's trying and testing times uh but there shall be light at evening time look for the light if you walking through the shadow of death today in order for the shadow to be cast there has to be light to make the shadow so look for the light instead of the shadow look for the good in instead of the bad look for the Eternal God instead of Earthly things and possessions that one day we'll have to let go of praise God he opened their understanding amen and he said unto this thus it is written and thus it behooved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem amen it starts at at Jerusalem amen it's going to end up at Jerusalem his feet are going to come to the Mount of Olives and it's going to cleave in in half and he's going to come into Jerusalem one day and one day oh the word of God says that children will play safely in the streets and at this point in time there's perplexity and there's danger and and there's there's the people of Israel over there looking up in the sky wondering what's going to drop out of the sky but oh we're looking for our savior oh the Eastern Sky Amen in a moment in a twinkling of an eye I don't know when it's going to happen but I want to be found ready I want to be found busy doing what I can put your hand to the plow and don't look back praise God ye are witnesses of these and behold I send the promise of my father the promise has a fulfillment amen God's promises are yay and amen amen everything has to come to pass all things have got to be fulfilled uh what was written of him in Moses and the prophets and the Psalms all of the Old Testament he said all of that's got to be fulfilled and we don't see everything fulfilled yet I have yet to see the lion lay down with the lamb I have yet to to put my hand on on through uh and where a snake is something and not get bit uh but the nature is going to change there is change coming and the greatest change that we can look for is for each and every one of us to be changed in a moment and a twinkling of an eye that we will receive a body fashioned like under his glorious body if you're not happy with the way you're at where you're at right now don't worry change is coming you might have creeking bones or you might have this doing that and that doing this whatever it might be and you I don't like well you know don't worry about it say God you may be the way I am I don't need to get out my tackle box and just stick things all in my face and fishing lines and lures and stuff that makes me feel that I'm accepted in this day and age I can just love you from my heart doesn't matter what I look like I'm not saying don't look presentable but amen you know what I'm saying today people do all right carry in the city of Jerusalem till you be IND do with power from on highight he led them as far as Bethany he didn't take them all the way why wasn't he there on the day of Pentecost okay come on ever thought about that let go hold on let loose hold on you know remember days when they had scream in your ear one screaming this way and scream that way and pull you and jerk you maybe that never happened to you some of you remember that he led them as far as Bethany all right 500 20 what happened to the others got to go to Walmart you know I always say when I die I want to be buried in Walmart parking lot that way I know my wife will come visit my grave man I don't want to die I want to go in the air I don't know about you praise God let's hurry on acts 4 and12 I digress there 4 and 12 neither is there salvation any other for there is none other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved this is the Builder that set at not the stone the stone which was set at not of the builders it has become the head of the the corner Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone there is no other way there's no salvation any other way this is the way there's no other name that name is important that's why we do everything in his name we baptize in his name we we speak his name amen praise God that name is important and there's no other name Jesus is the saving name amen whereby we must be saved once again I know I'm preaching and teaching to people who are very very familiar with this uh but once again I challenge you take this word and love it more and more each day I'm a Jesus name Person uh that you we've been called Jesus only well you know if you're Jesus only you really got everything because it's all in him for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and ye are complete in him which is the head of all principality and power the scripture says amen Acts chapter 8 and verse 12 the Samaritans uh came along and they said this but when they believe Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God and the the name of Jesus Christ they were both baptized both men and women Samaritans believed and were baptized amen look at that both the men and the women it's for everyone then Simon himself believed also now mind you Simon was called Simon the Sorcerer And he thought he was some great person but we find later on he he really wasn't that great he did get baptized but he wanted to buy the Holy Ghost with money he thought he could turn it into merchandise uh this plan is not a plan to use for merchandise or for self gain or self- edification or or uh a self- kingdom uh this is God's ordained plan and we are just Servants of him to carry this truth to others amen and here in the word of God Simon was baptized he continued with philli and wondered beholding the Miracles and signs which were done see this is the Samaritans those that were not a part uh those that were mixed so to speak uh you got to understand there back in those days they they look down on certain types of people just as they do in this day now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God they sended them Peter and John who when they were come down prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost for as yet he was Fallen upon none of them only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus they had only been baptized in jesus' name and look what he did then laid they their hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and we won't read it but Simon is rebuked by Peter because he wanted to purchase it he said you need to repent of this wickedness uh and pray in thy heart that God would forgive thee we do not know what Simon did but we do know this uh Simon was baptized but he should have gone on and be filled with the Holy Ghost so it just doesn't stop at baptism there has to be the Holy Ghost uh the new birth consists of two uh water and Spirit uh repentance water baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost acts 9 17 and 18 ananas went his way and entered to his house and putting his hands upon him said bre Saul the Lord even Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest has sent me that thou mightest receive thy sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost and immediately there fell from his eyes as had been scaled because he had been blinded on the road to Damascus and these things fell off him and and he could see and it says here and he received sight forwith and he rose and was baptized uh but you see there had to be someone that would come and instruct him in the way amen it took somebody to come along and give him some instruction and pray with him and that's where we come into God's going to put people in your life that you're going to have an impact on and sometimes you don't even realize it I've told this before and I want to share it with you uh last Sunday I was with my dad helping take care of my dad and um my brother-in-law was there and had a good fellowship with him after service Sunday amen and we went out and ate had good Fellowship here he is in the church loving God but I remember the first time that he ever came in contact with this truth it was a Bible study and I was teaching another guy the Bible study and to my knowledge I think that guy now is in prison it's not that it didn't work it wasn't obeyed now let me clarify that he's in prison but it's not because God's plan doesn't work he was baptized in Jesus name he got the Holy Ghost and I taught him a Bible study numerous Bible studies but then he backing up I was teaching this guy a Bible study and there was a group of us there and one of them uh was my brother-in-law my future brother-in-law at that time he was not he liked uh that thing that made Bud Dumber you know you ever heard of that not wiser the bud Dumber kind stuff yeah he liked that back then he don't like it now he he's wise now but I was teaching this this guy and another guy there this Bible study simple Bible study plan of salv it's not hard and what happened I told I told Mark I said Mark come join us no no no y'all all right I'm I'm in here and I didn't think much about it until years later he eventually came into the church we had Revival and he got baptized and got the Holy Ghost but you know what he said I mean this is years later you're talking probably what about 30 years 30 years later he said you know that Bible study you taught that I wasn't a part of I was in the other room in the living room and y'all were in the kitchen he said I was listening I said H you never know when your light shines it's a reflection of God's glory you take that light off you you're you're going to be dark like the moon oh look at that Moon it's shining bright no it's reflecting the sun you take that Moon away of that sun away from the Moon there's a lot of Darkness there it won't shine when you shine you never know where that light's going to go and I never knew and I love my brother-in-law and I'm so happy he's been a good father to two children that are both involved in Ministry today and to my sister a good man that has provided for her all these years and not run around and left or whatever you know how scenarios are in life but he stayed with there but he loves God Amen but he heard so you never know when you cast your bread upon the Water where it's going amen praise God let's hurry on uh acts 10 and44 the Gentiles received the Holy Ghost while Peter yet spake these words the Holy Ghost fell on all that which heard the word and they of the circumcision which believed were astom astonished as many as came with Peter because that on the Gentiles was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost you know what can astonish you some people you think are really not interested don't count your chickens before they hatch just keep on putting it out there don't ever write off anybody hey man you never know Gentile well the Gentiles are getting the holy ghost man God's really stretching himself look what it says here how did they know for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God how did they know speaking in tongues the evidence of the spirit's outpouring they didn't hear them you know do this or do that they heard them speak with tongues and not magnify each other but magnify God praying the spirit you're giving him the glory you're praying in in a realm that goes beyond your human reasoning and that's that's the challenge to maybe many of us sometimes we we want to hold on and I got to know everything and Release Yourself from that and and and let the spirit and get into the spirit and praying in the spirit and allowing these things and allowing God to get into those veins and go those avenues that that it comes through you and him working together are we not laborers together with him praise God Amen can any man forbid water no nobody can forbid water that these should not be baptized which ha received the Holy Ghost as well as we and he commanded them look at that it's a command he commanded them to be baptized in the name the Lord then pray they him him to to T certain days amen water baptism I'll never forget the time when I was a little boy overseas uh we had a baptismal tank and I might have told some of you this I don't remember I forget but they had a baptismal tank there and on Sunday they had baptized people hook up the hose and drain the water into the garden and and and the garden grew really good for some reason with all that sin water but anyway so on a today playing outside a hot day in that area we had good clean water that came out of the ground and on a typical day I would run over to the water hose that was draining into the garden from the faucet I would take me a big old long drink and oh it was nice and then one hot day on a Sunday not really paying attention just thinking about you know what just another day I went over there and it it was all history from there and I took a big long drink and after a while I realized it's a little warmer than usual and my eyes followed it all the way back and boy I was guzzling from the sin tank but I'm here today before you God can heal you know nothing shall harm you praise God Amen I didn't worry about it I'm like you know what God's going to take care of me amen I'm just going to keep on Amen and that's what happened praise God Acts chapter 15 and verse 14 Simon hath declared how God at the first visit the Gentiles to take out of them of people for his name we take on his name uh in whom the whole family in Earth is named the name Jesus the family name we take on his name we are people of the name uh amen this is a glorious name uh at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord amen look at Lydia in Acts chapter 16 and verse 13 they went to a Riverside it doesn't have to be in church you can take a Bible study you can take a chart uh you can take your tongue you can take your phone and and show them my on my phone I've got a picture of from the Bible chart of that uh picture of the Cross going over there's the broad path and the straight narrow path and I show people that from time to time I said which road are you on and it gets them thinking you know so you can use any kind of Avenue whatever your style is just to get the message conveyed and here by the Riverside they sat down and they began to talk to a woman who was a seller of purple I could just picture that she had pretty Linens that she sold and pretty purple garments that women came from all around to buy dresses and here there was uh uh the speech to her a and look what it says uh she was one uh the city they worshiped God they heard us uh uh uh she worshiped God hers whose heart the Lord opened God is opening hearts these people that we come into contact with uh and and they feel the presence of the Lord from you God opens their heart he opens their understanding and she attended unto the things which were spoken speak Jesus speak truth uh that's it speak it we know it we know it we know it frontward and backwards we've got great knowledge of it but speak it spoken of Paul and when she was baptized and her household notice that the spoken word this is what you need to do you got to repent uh you got to be baptized he's not going to come along and preach some other Doctrine because he knows he'll be a cursed uh praise God if we come along and water it down and come along and says oh it doesn't matter you can just slide into heaven it's grease not Grace then what's going to happen is uh uh uh we're going to be accursed but if I will hold on to this truth and Proclaim this is the truth I'm going to keep speaking it as long as I live as long as I have a breath I'm going to speak it and I'm going to try to the best of my ability not only to speak it but to live it they were baptized and they said if you have judged me faithful to the Lord come into my house and abide there and she constrained Us in other words come on in I want to feed you you can stay here we want to take care of you amen praise God Amen Acts chapter 18 and we're hurrying on we're running out of time that's all right and verse 25 Apollos was a man he was a mighty uh man the Bible says Mighty in the scriptures this man was instructed in the way of the Lord and become being fervent in the spirit he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord knowing only the baptism of John the baptism of John was uh that he would lead those to repentance uh Jesus Christ came and was baptized of John the Bible says that he would fulfill all righteousness uh the Forerunner John came he came repenting he came baptizing them but it wasn't the baptism of jesus' name because that was fulfilled when they began to do that in the book of Acts it was a baptism of repentance uh it was a forerunner of the true baptism and here in the word of God they only know the way of of of John and they they went on to say that um he began to speak boldly in the synagogue and when Aquilla and Priscilla had heard this is someone who came along these two came along and took him unto them and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly that's where you come in you don't ever take away with what someone has you never ever belittle them what they have you want to bring them into okay this is what the word of God says because they have been on a journey just like you were amen praise God Amen and they they they believe that and and let me hurry on Acts chapter 19 it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth Paul having passed through the upper Coast came to Ephesus he found certain disciples there have you received the Holy Ghost since you believe we're not even sure if there be any Holy Ghost he said unto what baptism were you baptized they said unto John's baptism he said Paul Paul said John verely baptized with the baptism of repentance say it un the people and that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and when Paul had laid his hands upon him the Holy Ghost Came Upon them and they spake with tongues and prophesied baptism is a burial we've been buried with him in baptism to arise with him and it in newness of Life baptism is spiritual Circ circumcision not the putting away of the flesh but an answer of a clear and true conscience to God that I can stand before him and say Lord you commanded it and I put my faith into action and I this old man has been buried with you so that if I'm buried with him and then I can come forth in the resurrection heyen and the likeness of of this old man being put under the water and buried in the in the name of Jesus cancelling all of the things uh blotting out the hand writing of ordinances against us the Bible says he took them and he nailed them to the Cross everything against you and me He took it and he cleaned it and he washed it and he removed it as far as the East is from the westh he cast your sins behind his back he cast them into the depths of the sea he subdued your iniquities to remember them no more these are the things he has done for us uh and it is through his name so whatever you do in life do it in Jesus name amen I'm getting in my car I'm going to drive down the road Lord protect me protect the children whatever you do Lord God I'm praying over my food Lord Lord protect me from all these things Lord uh whatsoever thou doest in word or deed do all in Jesus name and such were some of you let's stand but now ye are washed ye are Sanctified ye are are Justified how in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God Amen you could find yourself in that category there's none righteous know not one all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Amen I wonder if we can just come and gather around the front we've got a little time and and let's recommit ourselves to the doctrine uh amen Lord I want to love this uh this truth Lord uh praise God such were some of you but now we've been washed Sanctified justified in the name it takes the name and by the spirit of our god let's call upon his name Lord I love you tonight I Praise You Lord God let us be containers of Truth Lord uh Epistles known and read of all men Lord uh Lively Stones Lord built upon the the true Chief Cornerstone the true foundation uh let us take heed how we build on that Foundation let us build precious stones upon that the things that will endure the test of time because you're going to try us with Fire Lord you're going to test us Lord You're Going to purge us uh you're going to bring us through Lord uh God and we call upon you Lord and we believe you Lord and we love you today Lord and we need you oh call up on him uh thank you Lord God let me love Truth uh let me receive the love of the truth Lord I don't want to believe a lie and be damned Lord uh I don't want to believe a lie in this age Lord but let me love truth Lord uh and hold on to it Lord and bind it upon My Heart Lord God and seek you with all of my heart Lord bless your people tonight Lord give us a love for truth thank you for a pastor who will preach truth uh thank you for a church that we can come to and we can feel love and we can feel compassion and we can feel true Harmony in the spirit how good and pleasant it is for the Brethren to dwell together in unity give us the unity of the spirit Lord and the body Lord until you're coming Lord and we praise you we give you the praise uh amen let's sing a course amen praise God
