What You Have In Jesus

you glad to be in the house of the Lord tonight why don't we gather our thoughts in our hearts tonight and let's just uh open up by prayer why don't we all just stand and just ask the Lord to be with us tonight open my understanding Lord open my heart to your word Lord in this day that we live in we need you oh talk to them in your own way Lord we need you today Lord we look to you you are the author and the finisher of our faith God and we trust in you tonight Lord God and we bring our needs before your throne Lord those that are sick those that are hurting tonight those that are in need Lord God all of the things that you are doing Among Us Lord we thank you for it Lord uh we pray for our nation Lord God that we would live a quiet and Peaceable life we pray for our leaders Lord God we pray that you would be with them God and your will would be done in their lives Lord uh we pray for our children Lord we pray for those Lord that are struggling tonight those that are hurting those that are sick Lord we give them to you Lord Lord we cast All Care upon you for truly you care for us Lord and we give you the praise Lord let's just take time to lift our hands and love him Lord I love you Lord I Thank You Lord I I want to glorify you and be thankful Lord uh I want to acknowledge you Lord God uh I want you to direct our paths Lord God I want you to have your way in our lives you are the worthy one uh there is none like you Lord uh for all glory belongs unto you Jesus and we want to lift your name up the name of Jesus a more excellent Name the name that saves the name that delivers uh the name Lord that is above every name every knee will bow every tongue will confess Lord and we do that tonight Lord and we thank you Lord can we just clap our hands unto the Lord tonight praise God praise God praise God Amen you may be seated tonight God bless you for coming out to the house of the Lord amen I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord like I said before sometimes you can come to the house of the Lord and you're tired and you've had a long day but you can be refreshed in the word of God and in the spirit of God you can have a refreshing the book of Acts talks about the times of refreshing that come from the presence of the Lord praise God I wonder if we could just lift these names up in prayer uh we don't want to miss those uh uh Vicky Tony Jessica uh Reverend Paul sibl Margie Brody Tanya and Jordan Lord we just want to lift these names up to you Lord God knows all things he said bring your petitions uh cast All Care upon me for I he cares for us uh and and we bring them to you Lord and you know these needs Lord and we pray Lord that you would heal that you would save that you would deliver that you would comfort Lord and we praise you we give you the glory and praise for you alone are worthy in Jesus precious name amen as far as announcements uh growing families and friends giving or the connect family for Thanksgiving will be at the nurse uh heer house on uh this Saturday the 16th from 4: to 6:00 p.m. if you have any questions you could talk to Sister nimer also the discipleship course uh that brother uh Vandy watt will be teaching it is full but we still encourage you to join the waiting list praise God so if you would like to join that see brother Vandy watt amen I'm convinced in my my heart that you cannot have too much Bible in your spirit you look into the perfect law of Liberty and that's what we're going to do tonight whosoever lookth into the perfect law of Liberty not just a casual look but to continue therein not just a hearer or a forgetful hearer but a hearer and a doer of the work and you will be blessed praise God my my

first scripture I want to read to you is found in first Timothy 1 and verse 5 let me say again it's good to be in the house of the Lord and I past I appreciate Pastor opening up the pulpit for us to minister and I appreciate all of the word that comes forth from uh the the pulpit the word of God that we hear there's a rich Feast that you can Feast on every Service uh that you can have from the Lord and and that is something that we need but in 1 Timothy 1 and verse 5 I want to present to you uh the Bible says now the end of the Commandment is or the supreme goal of The Commandments is what charity out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of Faith unfeigned charity out of a pure heart love out of a pure heart a good clear conscience and a faith unfeigned praise God and we've been talking about Treasures we've been talking about what God has for us what God is doing but I want to present to you tonight we think about treasures and what I can go after and what might seem to be a treasure in this life that I put a lot of stock in or I put value in but it seems when you look into the word of God it's it points to laying up Treasures ahead above I set my affections on things above of but the Bible talks about lay up your Treasures in Heaven so what I can do is I I'm presenting what God has given me I'm presenting it to you that it is going to uh be effective and uh it's something that one day we will all receive a reward for what we've been involved in all of our lives and it's not a matter of a accumulation down here or building a bigger Barn to pack all of my stuff in or or or I can go after the American dream and have this and that but it is Lord I am presenting myself to you uh Here I Am Lord and I I give it to you Paul said this I will gladly spend and be spent for you is your life about out spending for self or for others uh we're not very effective if we are out of circulation let me give you an example here uh sister Sloan I've got some money here y I know you've seen lots of money in your time but this is some money here and um here I'm giving you a thousand I don't think it's called dollars but you go you go to Walmart or our Target spend anywhere you want to spend it you think that would work probably not why because that money and you can pass that around and look at it whoever would like to see that that money is not the American dollar that money is not effective here in America there are certain places we are not going to be effective I'm not going to be a profitable servant if I'm if I'm involving myself in the works of the flesh I'm not going to be a a soul winner or one that points one to Christ if I am counterfeit money or I am money that cannot work in this present field that's a lot of money to some people I don't know really what it's worth but there is nothing in that pile of money that treasure that is effective and will work here in America you saywell brother Harris I could take it to the banking exchange that yeah you could go do that but you're not going to get much anyway we are not very effective if we've not been put into circulation I'm not very effective you're not very effective if you've not been put put into circulation in the proper place where you are to be you are designed to shine as a light you are reflective of God's glory uh you you are someone that point a light uh uh a a a city set on a hill that that uh and light that shines that all men shall see your good works and glorify their father which are in heaven the church is designed to shine uh we are we are to serve him the Bible says in sincerity and in truth uh we we are not to be counterfeit and and the word we don't like is the word hypocrite the the the play acting a dissembler the scripture says uh saying one thing and and doing another but uh we we are to be genuine and I want to talk about some of these things tonight but what do you do with your treasure you have a treasure in an earth and vessel that the Excellency may be of him the power of the Excellency may be of him and not yourself we are designed to to to uh uh uh be powerful in what God does through us there is power in the Lord that's why the Bible says be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might but we have this treasure in Earth and vessel uh this is an Old Clay jar but yet God has entrusted to put the Holy Ghost uh the spirit of God the the comforter the earnest of our inheritance within us uh so that we use what tool we have through the power of the Holy Ghost for his glory and the greatest treasures is not cumul the things that you accumulate but is those precious things like uh here in the word of God love out of a pure heart Clean Hands and a pure heart that that's something you have to diligently work on you've got to diligently weed The Garden of Your Heart you've got to get thorns out Stony ground Wayside all of these things so that seed can fall into good ground and you bring forth fruit for his glory the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he that winth Souls is wise your fruit is what people partake of and love or it turns them away from Jesus in whom are HID all treasures and we talked about Treasures uh last week and uh the fear of the Lord uh is the treasure that was Israel's treasure the fear of the Lord was their treasure the stability of the times the fear of the Lord was their treasure in him are HID all Treasures of wisdom and knowledge uh the early church they walked in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost and I presented to you how the fear of the Lord is the beginning it's the it's like the diving board you go to jump into the water you're going to go into the pool you go to the end of the diving board and you spring on that you go up that's the very start fear God and keep his Commandments that's our duty praise God but I want to go and talk to you about some scriptures uh here in the word of God we mention charity out of a pure heart a good conscience God give me a good conscience uh and Faith unfeigned uh praise God in

First Peter chap 1 and verse 7 that the trial of your faith uh your trial your faith will go on trial your faith will be tested and that is a precious treasure that you possess is your faith uh your your your walk with God uh your obedience to the gospel plan uh your fulfillment of uh being in the church uh the the the the place where God has ordained that people would come into and be changed uh praise God coming out of Darkness into Marvelous Light uh and the Bible says that the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold your trial your your what Your Faith goes through and we go through trials and there are testing times and there are times that we we endure and we fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life but it is more precious than of gold that perishes perisheth though it be tried with fire it might be found un praise and honor and Glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ uh that is the ultimate goal uh I is to hear those words well done thou good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of the Lord I have fought a good fight I have finished the course I have kept the faith Paul said henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness and not only to me but to all those that love his appearing uh there is a crown of righteousness uh there there is a reward uh a and we need to receive the full reward praise God and it said if we found under praise and honor and Glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ whom having not seen ye love in whom though now you see him not yet believe in we have not not seen him in all of his glory and Splendor we have not seen the king in all of his Beauty we have not seen that land that is a far off but the Bible gave us the promise that you we shall see the king in all of his Beauty and we shall see that land that is a far off uh I've never walked through those Gates uh I've never had the opportunity to see the crystal sea and all of the beauty of that City but I see through the eyes of faith and I believe it is a walk by faith praise God and the Bible says uh uh yet believe in ye Rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of Glory you remember the old song it is joy unspeakable yeah full of glory amen it is joy unspeakable and full of Glory we cannot explain the joy and the power of the Holy Ghost you've got to experience it for yourself praise God words cannot explain that's why over in the Scripture it says eye hath Not Seen Nor Ear hath heard neither has it entered into the hearts of men the things that God has prepared for those that love him praise God but he has revealed them to us through the Spirit uh we are receiving little tastes of it uh uh little glimpses of it uh in the body of Christ uh we are learning what it's like to be among God's people that we'll spend eternity with amen that's why I want to get along with people down here I want to work on it down here because we're going to be together up there so this is The Proving Grounds this is the testing grounds there will be a final exam so we study to show oursel approved unto God we search the scriptures we go back to the word of God and we talk about his word and it says say in verse 9 it says receiving the end of your faith even the salvation of your souls one day this is going to come to an end one day as We Know It uh that that the end of my faith will stop when I'm in his presence I won't need that great faith and reaching after when I'm like him we shall be like him and see him as he is the Bible says we'll receive a body fashioned like unto his glorious body but but receiving the end of your faith even the salvation of your soul

2 Timothy CH 1 and verse 8 be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of Our Lord nor of me as prisoner but be thou partakers of the afflictions of The Gospel According to the power of God here uh Timothy is being charged to guard the gospel and not be ashamed Paul had spoke about that earlier he said I'm ready he said I I I I'm a debtor and I'm not ashamed uh this is not something to be ashamed of uh don't be ashamed of your testimony uh don't be ashamed of of standing for truth in in the midst of a woke crowd uh don't be ashamed of what God has done in your life but be an example be a a testimony of the power of God we all are a walking testimony of what God can do in our lives praise God and he said this the a afflictions of the Gospel uh in the gospel plan there there's afflictions uh they that live uh Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution there are times that there are afflictions that we fac uh face but he will take care of us verse n who has saved us and called called us with a holy calling not according to our works but according to his own Grace purpose and Grace it wasn't my works it wasn't anything that I could come up with it wasn't something in my lineage it wasn't something that I received from my forefathers it it was the precious blood of Jesus Christ it was the good news of the Gospel that I submitted to that you submitted to and it brought about his own purpose and Grace in your life uh think about that it's his purpose it's not my purpose it's his purpose H we align Our Lives to his purpose when you do that those things that trouble you a and bother you you he will give you a way of Escape there will always be sufficient Grace for us to go through everything that we will face uh and it was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began that God would have a purpose uh that there would be grace extended to humanity the grace of God that bringeth salvation as teaching us that we should deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world that's what God has done and look what it says in verse 10 but is now made manifests by the appearing of Our Savior Jesus Christ who abolished death and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel thank God for the gospel plan these are precious things uh the the these things that we hold on to are more precious than gold that perisheth because you can have gold one day and then the next day all the gold is gone praise God but we have exceeding great and precious promises being partakers of his divine nature the Bible says praise God and those are what are important that he would abolish death uh that he would destroy death uh that he would anull Death uh that I would not have to face the second death uh I don't know about you but I don't want to go to a lake of fire I don't want to go to a place uh where there's going to be suffering and and there's going to be people that are wailing and there will be nashing of teeth but I want to go to a prepared Place uh that is prepared for a prepared people that they've spend all their lives going after it that they've done all that they can uh because those are the precious things uh of Love uh a and a good conscience and and and faith without hypocrisy receiving the end of your faith even the salvation of your soul praise God and he goes on to say uh let me hurry on in verse 12 for the which cause I also suffer these things nevertheless I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day to be fully persuaded Lord that you are able to keep me Lord uh you are able to preserve me Lord your Providence is available Lord and you're going to take care of me until that day uh and so much more as you see that day approaching that's why we come to the house of God that's why we seek God that's why we gather together and so much more as you see that day approaching the day is approaching we are nearer to that day than before I don't know the day or the hour and and I'm not concerned about any specific time I what I'm concerned about Lord your will be done let us work while it is day we still have light we still have daytime for the night cometh and no man shall work hold fast the form of sound Words which thou has heard of me in faith and love and in Christ Jesus which is in Christ Jesus that good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us uh hold on to those things these are precious Commodities that we own Lord Give Me Love out of a pure heart of God give me a good clear conscience Lord and let me have faith unfeigned our faith that is genuine and sincere Romans chap 12 and verse one I beseech you therefore Brethren by the mercies of God we know this scripture but this is a very foundational scripture that ye

present your bodies a Living Sacrifice think about this my gift to him Here I Am Lord I'm I'm your Living Sacrifice I'm tired it's a it's a Wednesday not I'm tired but I'm bringing my Living Sacrifice to you I'm giving myself to you this is my gift back to you you know what's the greatest thing that we could give to him our full obedience uh Here I Am Lord I'm giving myself to you I'm making myself available I'm humbling myself under the mighty hand of God I'm submitting myself uh I I'm giving myself to you that is every day is a birthday so to speak to you amen happy birthday I'm giving you a present uh amen here it is I'm presting this present to you it's a Living Sacrifice holy acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service in doing that be not conformed to this world but be transformed the church is not to conform itself to the standards of what this world says is important but our our Conformity is to the word of God the preaching of the word of God the involvement of the spirit in our lives that's what we conform ourselves to it's a transformation by the renewing of your mind uh oh let my mind be renewed every day I need my mind to be refreshed the times of refreshing that come from the presence of the Lord let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus what did he do he made of himself of no reputation uh he took upon himself the form of a servant he was made in the likeness of men he humbled himself he was obedient unto the cross even to the death of the Cross uh he the ex the the the great example the ultimate example he gave us an example and it is a pathway of humility it is a pathway of submission it is a pathway of presentation these are great Treasures that you offer back to God God you've been so good to me uh you've saved me from a devil's hell Lord and I'm offering this back to you Lord I'm a Living Sacrifice and every day it doesn't matter how I feel sometimes I'm still present this Living Sacrifice unto you you might prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God for I say though the grace given unto me through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think let us not think that we're special or this or that but let us think what uh let let us um think soberly according as God hath dwelt dealt to every man The Measure of Faith he's dealt a Measure of Faith to you and he says here it is what you going to do with it here it is are you going to enlarge on it here it is you have faith that can move mountains uh oh Lord increase our faith they said uh Faith uh great works and faith that many times uh uh he talked about little faith oh ye of little faith oh I just got a little bit and I'm just scared I can't give it my all but oh Lord increase my faith let me have like in the word of God great faith that I can move mountains that are in the way what's a mountain that we want to move well one big mountain is in between us and a new facility that we can get into there might be some mountains in your life there might be some loved ones or some family members or somebody close to you it seems like a big old mountain is plopped right there but God not man God can move the mountain I've got to exercise that measure that he has dealt to me here it is you go after it oh you can exercise it or it could be put and at on the back burner and just brought out at you know when it's a convenient season like they said in the book of Acts uh but you see that Measure of Faith uh and I don't need to think of myself more highly we we must understand that every one of us we are dependent upon the Lord because without him we can do nothing uh like I said before uh if if uh if we get away from uh uh the the vine the the branches fall fall off and they are broken and they become firewood or like chaff which the wind driveth away and it is used to wickedness is compared to chaff and it is used to fuel the fire but Lord let me do that Measure of Faith you've given me a Measure of Faith Lord and and let me not think that I'm better than somebody else or this or that but Lord let me think soberly it's your will that I serve you it is your will that you work through me praise God it is your will that I stay in circulation I I I'm convinced this church is a church of circulation there are people much involved in the kingdom of God and God sees that amen and and my my my desire is to see that magnified amen as that Christ would be magnified in our bodies not not flesh magnified but Jesus Christ magnified that that that we are all in this together and we are laborers together and we're helping one another and we're building up one another we've not been called to tear down or or or or to attack reputations but we've been called to build up to edify the body uh and to love one another this that the church is a great thing uh I've had the opportunity of being in churches all across to many many countries and stuff and and one thing that is so precious is the like precious faith we are headed to the same destination there's not going to be multiple Heavens or our degrees of Hinduism that we're going to slip into no we're going to a city whose Builder and maker is God and it's a prepared people and it's a people that has exercised that Measure of Faith Lord I've Multiplied on it uh and I've brought forth fruit through it praise God praise God over in Romans he said I long to see you that I might impart unto you some spiritual gift to the end you may be established there's something about in the house of God that's in uh

Romans 1 and 11 there's something about in the house of God there's impartation I appreciate pastor preaching in his ministry because if you will glean from that you will receive impartation through the power of God's working amen thank God for men that will stand for truth in this day and age uh praise God uh and Paul said I long to see you that I might impart unto you some spiritual gift gift to the end you may be established that that you can be established and you you say well brother Harris I know all these things I'm I'm familiar with that wonderful put that into Act action and tell somebody else there's a whole lot of people don't know about this and there's a lot you might know well I know about water baptism in jesus' name in filling of the Holy Ghost but there's a lot of people don't understand walk in wisdom to those that are without redeem in the time let your speech be always with Grace season with salt Grace and salt Mercy love and flavor that you may they you may know how you ought to answer every man that askthe a reason of the hope with meekness and fear God give me the boldness give me the understanding give me the wisdom to speak the right word to somebody we have all kinds of guests that come through especially on Sundays and and God give me the right sensitivity not for me just to come and enjoy and you can enjoy the service yes but what about being cons concerned about that individual what does God want them to do and what does God want to do in them and how can I connect the dots so to speak how can I be the bridge uh that brings forth your plan God in our midst praise God praise God

Philippians 1 and 20 the Bible Paul mentioned this he talked about how Christ would be magnified according to my Earnest expectation and my hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed Earnest expectation amen think about that what is your earnest expectation what are you expecting what what is your heart set on well if I could just purchase this or if I could just go to this place or if I could achieve this or if I could only get past past the holidays you know all these things people are thinking of but the earnest expectation the manifestations of the sons of God uh the day that he says come on up higher in a moment in a twinkling of an eye a change time Earnest expectation I'm expecting uh God you to do great things uh you said you had pour out your spirit upon All Flesh uh Lord I'm expecting in this day and hour to be a part of it Lord I want to see it uh I want to see great Revival revive thy Work in the midst of the years the old prophet of old said but Lord you do these things my Earnest expectation and in nothing I shall be ashamed I'm not ashamed but that with all boldness as always and now also Christ be magnified in my body whether it be by life or by death Lord that you be magnified in my body that it's about you Lord and it's not about me it's about you I want you to be magnified oh magnify the Lord with me let us exalt his name together the church is a part of being together one another uh bear one another's burdens uh pray one for another uh uh uh be kind tender-hearted forgiving one another that thank God for the body of Christ the church uh and I'm presenting to you tonight uh these are precious Commodities these are Treasures that you could hold on Purity out of a loving heart Lord a Pure Heart Lord let there be that a clear good conscience uh and faith without hypocrisy praise God John John 18 and 37 pilate was before talking to Jesus and he said art thou a

king then Jesus answered thou sayest that I am a king to this end was I born could I venture to say if you follow in his footsteps we shall reign with him as Kings and Priests were you born to be a king oh lady sorry Queen the Queen of England Royal fulfill ye the Royal law there's royalty involved in this oh it's it's going to be a whole lot bigger than perhaps we even imagine oh God enlarge my thinking on this what what you have God the church is going to reign with him uh uh we judge Nations the Bible says uh we're going to be part of what God's Eternal plan is uh but he told uh pilate to this was I born I I was born to to be a king but first i'm a servant but it has to be a servant to a King it can't be a king to a servant the prodical son got it backwards he started off saying give me give me then after he went and ate with the pigs for a while and he realized he could go back to Daddy's house what' he say make me a servant from give me to make me so many times in our Christian Life we God give me this and bless me with that and oh I want all the goodies and you know I don't want to suffer I want to know you're in the power of the Resurrection but no not the Fellowship of the suffering no I don't want that Paul said if that I might know him in the power of the Resurrection but the Fellowship of the suffering comes along the one who became the king the one who is the king of glory the one who is
