What You Have In Jesus

let's get into the word of God we've been talking about treasures and the various things that are pertinent to that praise God uh uh we are to lay up Treasures in Heaven where uh thieves cannot steal uh moth does not corrupt and uh wherever your treasure is you're going to find your heart so really when you think about Treasures it has to do with heart issues because what you treasure is going to be dear to your heart and I want to talk once again in that vain looking in the Book of Matthew Chapter 5 about these ingredients that are to be in us if we want the blessings of God if we want to one day and I believe this is your goal it is my goal to hear those words well done thou good and faithful servant enter thou thou into the joy of the Lord and not to hear the words depart from me ye workers of iniquity I never knew you so that's our goal we want to make it to that City we talked about the word blessing and how uh we come in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel we are here as a result of the Gospel plan the good news the death the burial the resurrection repentance water baptism in jesus' name the infilling of the the Holy Ghost that's what binds us together in the church we are unified together coming in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel without the gospel we would be lost without his plan we would be wretched undone dying in our sins but we don't have to die in our sins you can die in faith praise God and here in the word of God it sets the stage for we've been talking about poor in spirit those that mourn those that hunger and thirst after righteousness and then I want to go into the fourth one that is you working it out with God it is your relationship with God and that is pure in heart praise God but before we dive into that blessed is the man that walketh in not in the counsil of the go ungodly the Bible says uh blessed is the people that knoweth the joyful sound amen there's something about when you hear the people of God praying when you hear the people of God singing I love the singing in this church beautiful singing thank you singers for ushering us into the presence of God it's a joyful sound praise God Amen blessed is the people that knoweth the joyful sound who walk in the light of his countenance praise God uh blessed is the one whose sins are forgiven and he will not impute our charge to your account sin because your sin has been covered that is to walk in the blessings of the Lord to have his Precious Blood cleanse you amen we want God's blessings but in order to have those blessings there are certain things that we have to do blessed is the man that maketh the Lord his trust trust in the Lord with all thy heart lean not to thine own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He Shall direct thy paths so the blessing that comes when you trust in the Lord the blessing of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow praise God it makes you rich I'm not talking about something that you can accumulate and you say well I've got great riches and I've got all this money or all this gold or silver or uh possessions that I build a bigger barn but what about rich in Good Works rich rich in faith uh The unsearchable Riches of Christ when you dive into it it never you never get to a place where you've discovered it all there's more depths there's more Heights uh the width of God you can't go past what he has given to us praise God the blessing of the Lord maketh rich and adth no sorrow with it there's no sorrow that comes from God's blessings uh there's the sorrow of the world there's the sorrow of uh of our own sin a Godly sorrow that worketh repentance but but there's no sorrow that comes from God he is the one who brings Joy he is the one who brings blessings praise God blessed is the one that is not offended in me amen there are a lot of people get offended they they they have uh offenses and they they get offended in the Lord for this or that and usually they'll try it's through people and they'll blame God but blessed are those that are not offended I find no fault in him as the man said in even though he did wrong he said I find no fault in him he began to wash his hands but he could not get rid of that blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it not just to hear it but to keep it not just to be a hearer of the word but a doer of the word you'll be blessed in that de blessed are they that have not seen but yet have believed oh we have not seen him I have not seen nor ear hath heard neither has it entered into the heart of man those things that God has prepared for those that love him uh praise God but he has revealed them to us through the spirit the Holy Ghost is the earnest of our inheritance it is a taste of what is to come it is the down payment if that's just the taste uh the Bible says we have tasted of the world to come we have tasted of what is ahead for us if that Joy if that peace if that goodness in the Holy Ghost is just a teach can you imagine what your full inheritance will be praise God it's going to be worth it all amen blessed is the servant when the Lord comes we'll find him doing you know when the Lord comes he's going to catch us right in whatever we're doing no man knows the day or the hour amen we need to be caught uh caught up doing what God wants walking with the Lord Walking In Truth walking according to the Commandments of God praise God looking at this pure in heart the Bible says we have he has purified we have purified our souls through obeying truth he can purify unto himself zealous people uh uh peculiar people zealous of Good Works uh he is the one who purges he is the one who purifies uh he is the one who will bring us through the fire so to speak that the trial of your faith might be much more precious than of gold that perishes even though it be tried with fire it might be found under praise and honor and Glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ our faith will go through trials we'll go through tests but it is for our Pure purification Amen to be pure in heart uh and we purify Our Hearts by obeying truth not just to have a conscience knowledge of truth but to know the truth and to put it into flesh to be obedient to the truth uh he said there was one pure in heart one without G like Nathaniel and uh the G speaks of of of sincerity faith that is unfeigned there's Integrity wholeness uh singleness of

heart my heart is not divided it is not faulty why is your heart so important because that's where the treasure is uh why is your treasure so important that's where your heart is and the Bible says keep thy heart with all diligence because out of it are the issues of life but that you know in the heart these things uh that they turn over and everything they're working and and and if you you maintain a clean heart uh then then good things come out but if there's an evil heart uh evil things come out so our Treasures in this life are not something that we can accumulate and pack in some bigger barn and prepare one day that I'm just gonna ease my soul take it easy but it is day by day I'm laying up Treasures in Heaven day by day I'm working on fruit bringing fruit to God Amen the Bible talks about that that we should bring forth fruit unto God here it is Lord on that day bringing in the Sheep we sing that old song I love that old song we shall come rejoicing bringing in the Sheep Lord you've invested in me Lord you have given me so much Lord I want to give you a return praise God those are true Treasures that we have to work on Treasure of pure and heart you keep that heart diligently that's a treasure because I don't want a heart that's deceitful and desperately wicked and Only God Can Know It Only God knows our heart uh you can come to the house of God and a and then you can leave and and the next day or something someone could push a button in the heart and the Heart can just explode in in anger or or in jealousy or or or in Revenge and that's where you have to work on pureness of heart and learn to control and and to bring this body under subjection as Paul said lest I've preached to others and I myself become a Castaway or am unfit for the kingdom of God rejected my heart pure in heart uh great examples in the word of God the Bible says love righteousness and hate iniquity we live in the midst of a day of iniquity where iniquity is is just promoted and a a and it's just spilled out everywhere where God wants us to love righteousness love the truth uh buy the truth and sell it not uh receive the love of the truth praise God another prime example of pure in heart Jesus there was no G found in his mouth uh there there was no uh uh in insincerity there there was no hypocrisy uh he threatened not as a lamb to the slaughter he open open not his mouth uh when they reviled him he reviled he did not revile back when when they spoke evil of him uh he closed his mouth and he didn't say he could the old s that he could have called 10,000 angels down and annihilated the Romans and all of the religious leaders of that day but he chose to close his mouth in him there was no gu guile is deceit fraud hipocrisy pretense it is easy to play games and attempt to enter the kingdom of God double-minded lovers of Pleasures a form of godliness but denying the power of thereof some cry Lord Lord but never depart from iniquity iniquity that will bar you from entering the kingdom of God lips that Bless but Hearts go after covetousness men are women that omit the weightier matters of the law judgment mercy and Faith uh just as the sins of the Pharisees were mentioned in the whole book of chapter of Matthew chapter 23 it a whole chapter was was dedicated to the sins of the Pharisees and they say but they do not uh oh help me what I say and what I Proclaim and what I speak and what you speak and what you Proclaim not only to say it but to do it they omitted the weigher matters of the law judgment mercy and Faith they shut the kingdom up because of their actions they would not go in and they hinder others from going in let my let not my life because of issues of my heart hinder others from coming into the kingdom of God but let me be a reflection of his glory let me be light so that every man will see our what good works and glorify their father which is in heaven praise God I'm talking about Treasures that are important that are everyday things we work on this goes beyond money in your account this goes beyond how much gold you've saved uh I always tell my granddaughter I've got a lot of gold but the problem is it's in my teeth that's the only gold I do own she said let me see it let me see it she's always she wants to see the gold or something about gold praise God but there's no there's no pretense in this there there's no hypocrisy in this uh and and the Bible exhorts us purify your hearts you double-minded be free from moral definement without spot unmixed without wax the word sincere comes from the the root word without wax and and in the days of old they would have a beautiful marble statue and there there would be flaws in it in cracks and they the artist would would would rub in those cracks uh wax so that it would look like the marble is perfect and and just a glance of the eye it looks like a really nice nice uh carving or sculpture and they did it back then they still do it today in foreign countries you go buy a wood carving a beautiful wood carving and and you'll see it man that looks good and they have a word the they have a wood over there called ebony wood it's a black beautiful wood they have a a queen ebony which is a black with brown in it a tan beautiful wood but something they will do they will take black wax oh excuse me black shoe polish and they will rub it in the cracks so that you will not see any blemish in the wood carving you buy the wood carving it looks nice and boy that's a beautiful wood carving you set it out on a shelf and in time from heat when the heat comes uh guess what that stuff will begin to slowly melt or the flaw will begin to show and the crack will be open without wax let there be not anything where we try to put a facade or to put something fake on in other words don't do that don't work on trying to be a hypocrite but just be transparent with him say Lord here it is Lord uh as David said I acknowledge my sin and against thee and thee alone have I sinned whereas Saul what

did he do he was hiding and you know what Saul did and it is just as old lies as mankind has been uh coming up with the people it's the people's fault it's somebody else's fault it's always easy to blame somebody else and not take accountability for yourself I'm talking to you about Treasures that you get a hold of in love and you work on them they're going to Usher you into that Heavenly Kingdom praise God follow righteousness Faith charity peace with them that call on the the Lord out of a pure heart uh if I want a pure heart uh I I need to follow after righteousness Faith charity peace uh and that wisdom you know the Bible says in James every good gift and every perfect gift cometh down from above uh from the Father of Lights with whom there's no variableness nor shadow of turning uh and he went on to say that wisdom that is above is first what pure it's pure wisdom it's not tainted it's not worldly it does not have the slant of the world there's no Hollywood in it there there's no uh uh uh personal belief in it it is the truth that comes from above it's pure it's the pure word of God it's the pure blessings of God it is Peaceable it's gentle one thing about the power of God when it begins to work on you as opposed to the flesh uh it's pure it's Peaceable it's gentle it's easy to be entreated it's full of mercy and good fruits without partiality or hypocrisy good gifts I want every good gift that comes from above and it is pure amen there's a lot of Earthly things here that grab our attention but seek those things that are above amen set your affections on things above and that's the Daily Grind of it all you've got the Flesh and the spirit uh and you've got to work on both of those I've got to yield and be led by the spirit if not the old Taskmaster my flesh is going to drive me and I'm going to do things and I'm going to go places I never intended to go and things are going to happen me that I never intended them to happen praise God let's go on another talk about some more scriptures Clean Hands a pure heart love out a pure heart holding the mystery of faith in a pure conscience we talked about conscience uh uh before a good conscience uh Paul said this he said I exercise myself to have a conscience void of offense towards God and man or put it into our English I I really work on those situations where there is no conflict between God there's nothing shutting I'm shutting up the heavens and they become brass like the Old Testament it said the heavens are brass why because of their sins and and it just there was no answer the the the prophet one one of the one of the Kings got to a place and there was no answer from the prophet and he went to the witch of indor think about it you you see so these things that we do a pure conscience I I exercise myself Paul said this I exercise myself in other words I'm working on it myself that I have a conscience void of offense between God With God are man I'm not in a fight with God I'm not arguing with God I want to be obedient to him I want to obey his word and and I want to get along with my brother and my sister do good to all men especially those that are of what the household of faith amen it's a challenge you don't know what happened to me it happens to everyone praise God how do you think whatsoever things are true honest just pure lovely of good report if there be any virtue or there be any praise think on these things pure pure in heart so we talked about the four things poor in spirit those that mourn those that hunger and thirst after righteousness and those that are pure in heart now let let's talk about conduct now let let's move from the vertical relationship from man to God to the horizontal relationship man to man person to person this is where the rubber meets the road Meek merciful peacemakers I want you to think about that the meek definition you don't hear that word too often my brother you're such a Meek person bless your heart you're so Meek do we often hear that we don't hear that that's in the word of God blessed are I want your blessings Lord but how am I going to work on that I need to work on my personal meekness and my involvement with others merciful I excuse me Meek those who yield all possessions and personal rights to God and thereafter look upon what they have as loan to them by God for his work and Glory everything that we have it's own loan you've been bought with a price you're not your own well I'll go do what I want well you just go ahead you're going to face the Whirlwind you swow to the flesh you'll look of the flesh reap the Whirlwind you love the flesh reap corruption but if you swow to the spirit you got the promise of everlasting life Meek meekness Moses was a Meek he was known as the meekest man he had strength and Leadership he was humble and submissive before God confidence of God's ability to meet every emergency meekness of spirit speak and that's one of the fruits of the spirit you read that in Galatians being

impatient without resentment how many have you ever had resentment in your spirit oh I have resentment Rises up well I didn't get a nice cake like that person got that's just an example properly responding to anger when others violate your personal rights example you're driving down the road somebody pulls out in front of you you're a professional driver nobody can drive like you what are they doing why are they driving like that I just that just happens to me I guess the meek not the aggressors inherit the earth and Delight themselves in the abundance of peace peace there's a lot of aggression in this world my L aggressive people there's a lot lot of that going on and they're bickering and fighting you know and the political Arena and all of that and it it's kind of we've come we've come to a little lull but you watch it it'll it'll ramp back up in a little bit but what about those that are if poor in spirit is the opposite of proud in spirit then Meek is is the opposite of aggression in other words learning to God you're in control you you take care of that I'm going to allow you to take care of that I can't steal Vengeance from you because if I do I'm a thief and a robber he said Vengeance belongeth unto me I will recompense if I take Vengeance from him and I do it my way I'm telling God you don't do a good enough job I can do it better what does he do go ahead and what do you do you mess up and you got a bigger problem to deal with these are these are things uh meekness is a treasure that that you can learn early in life or you you're going to work on it all your life actually and it's something that is important because these are things that are going to guide you these are hard issues uh it's the treasure is not about accumul but Lord I I I'm doing what you said Lord and here it is uh I've got this treasure in an earth and vessel and I want that treasure to be a reflection of your glory you know and this this body I want to glorify you in this body also and in spirit if you put a treasure in me shouldn't this body also that houses it exemplify a treasure praise God not harsh not self assertive not Covetous not trampling and bruis forced others claim their rights the meek are concerned with their duties well I've got a right I want to do this I want to do that well I think the Meeker this is what I need I know what I got to do and I'm going to applaud and I'm going to keep on be steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord so many Ministries so many people loving God here tonight so many people involved in the Kingdom of God in one facet or another thank you for that be ye steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord for you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain praise God praise God others seek revenge but the meek give place to wrath because wrath belongs to God be angry but sin not oh it's not wrong I mean you get mad everybody gets mad but learn to hold on to it and at age 60 can I say I've mastered it no because you know who can tell on me my wife she'll let me know that that's my land you know men I don't know about you but it seems like the wife is your conscience also she going to let you know and if you're honest about it you'll say yeah because she'll always come along and say I told I told you so and you're like yeah you're right isn't that hard for us to say am I the only one out in left field okay thank you my brother Jesus said come unto me rest take my yoke learn of me for I am meek and lowly if he if he gives invitation for me to learn of him and one of the ingredients of that he is meek and lowly and I'll find rest for my soul it's something I need to really look into I I venture to present to you tonight Matthew 56 and seven is a blueprint that you'll be working on all your life it'll never end and if you can master that and I constantly go back this is my guide this this keeps me grounded uh if I keep constantly go back to that this is like everything packed into like a little Dynamite you know there's power there and it's a guide and you'll constantly go back for direction these are true Treasures praise God Abraham he could have said lot get out of here good for nothing nephew who do you think you are want the wellwater plains of Jordan but to avoid a Strife he said you choose sometimes in life it's better to walk away from a fight with people than to entangle yourself with a big fight think about it praise God Moses meekest man on earth when Aaron and Miriam spoke against him oh why are you doing this who do you think you are who's that Ethiopian girl man my lands what are you doing but they he didn't they didn't have the the words that were said of this I speak to him mouth to mouth he's faithful miam became lepos as thee God healer he was concerned a meant man no selfish ungodly Ambitions he had the vision of God God in his redeeming purpose God's instrument if God's purpose was accomplished he cared not what his lot might be he said if you're not going to forgive sin and I I I really thought about this scripture and turn it over in my mind many times uh he said blot me out of thy book think about that if you're not going to forgive their sins will take me out from all the promises also he cared for the people praise God Paul a great example he said I made myself servant to all that I might gain the more he said I will gladly spend and be spent for you he said I'm a dead I'm ready I'm not ashamed here's a man who who persecuted Christians and had them killed and and did horrific things but he loved them his heart's desire and prayer that Israel would be saved he said I wish myself were a curs for Christ for my Brethren's sake I have great heaviness and continual sorrow trus in God submission it bear patiently Bears injuries without retaliating not easily provoked not sing with instructions forgiv those who injure us recompensing good to all men the meek then it goes on to the merciful blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain Mercy if you want Mercy you've got to show Mercy I believe in our lives every one of us have the opportunity to show Mercy bless are the merciful those who have fully that who are fully forgiven and forgive all who injure or offend them and return love and understanding compassion and pity to those who are suffering the Publican looked over the sacrifice and he could not even lift his head up he looked over the mercy seat so to speak and he said be merciful to me a sinner praise God he went home Justified the Bible says the humble shall be exalted the two that went to pray one says I'm not of other people he was comparing himself to this well you know I'm not doing like them so I'm doing pretty good but the Publican he just hit his chest I'm a sinner and I need you God and that's what we need to do when when we approach him Lord here I am once again renew me a right Spirit cleanse me from all unrighteousness praise God violation of the merciful resentful unmerciful bitterness somebody did me wrong when I get a chance I'm going to get back to them instead of being merciful bitterness is the liquid that eats up its container you can't pour gas into a melt Carton and go walk down the road and pour it into your tank and expect it you'll begin to melt along the way we're not designed to carry bitterness bitterness is a liquid that eats up its container God remove all bitterness from me let me show mercy and kindness do good to all men what is required of men often said this Pulpit do justly love Mercy walk humbly with thy God praise God Mercy lays claim on us whether whenever and wherever there is suffering it pities it helps it refrains from Cruel sport as well as cruel speech it hates cruelty even in cases of deserved punishment even God said I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that they would return from their ways Old Testament word return New Testament word repentance same thing come back make the change turn around praise God it restores it recovers it edifies it builds up it is fortified in loveed God so loved the world that he gave how did he gave give his his great Mercy wherewith he has loved us the Bible says praise God great mercy and then we come to the peacemakers these are our involvement with one another peacemakers the cult 1873 model P was The Peacemaker it kept people safe it was a gun that was known in the west it was the gun that was known that had won the West because the West Was a wild west and Along Came The Peacemaker and Samuel Colt The Peacemaker maker said his arms were the best peacemakers and if somebody comes along and you've got a peacemaker on you there's something about it it commands respect the law keep the peace you respect the law why because he is an enforcer of

the law we are called to be peacemakers I'm not talking about whipping out something and Blasting away I'm talking about bringing a ability to bring a quieting calming influence to others but first of all you've got to be at peace with God not enmity or at War with God so God let me be at peace with you those who make things right with everyone whom they have wronged and by their example are able to guide others to do the same he is our peace praise God he has made Jew made Jew and Gentile one you man making peace reconciling both in one body and to us who were a far off he preached peace so that we could become nigh are close to him peace in me ye might have peace the peace that pass understanding we are to follow peace and Holiness with all men for such praise God seek it and do it ensue it that ye may be found in him in peace praise God he calls for peace he calls for the unity of the body amen the fruit of the righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace there's something about the church it it is a place for God's peace to be one mind one Accord how good and pleasant it is for the Brethren to dwell together in unity uh the Brotherhood Fellowship one with another the family of God onefold uh the family in heaven and the whole family in Heaven and Earth it's not just the family down here it's the family up there we've got loved ones here we've got loved ones up there my father's house where there's many mansions uh he's gathered together into one many members but yet one body and when peace is shattered when enmity and the opposite of that that wrecks peace what happens there's enmity there's Envy there's Strife uh there's divisions among you there's Wars that are fighting uh there's wrath uh that there's fighting Among Us uh there's unkindness there's falsehood there's unforgivingness there's unforgiving people malice uh oh back you you read in history uh the reconciliation uh that was needed between two groups of people the old story of the Hatfields and The McCoys they had an ongoing battle for years and years that's not the church we are to abstain from provocation to be gentle and pleading with love bringing mankind into a right status with God as long as men are at odds with God they will be at odds with their fellow man and if one is at odds with their fellow man there's a conflict with God because if you can't love them down here you're not going to be able to go up there praise God I want to love down here amen we're coming to a close shortly uh and praise God and the Bible over in the Old Testament says that we should bring forth fruit unto God and we would take root downward and bear fruit upward so putting your roots down deep into God's word so that we can bear fruit and this fruit that we are to bring to God one day we're going to stand before him and we're going to give an account of what we've done in this body and these are the greatest treasures that you can work on now amen praise God and and as the singers come we're going to change the service here and go into a time of singing and then there are the three sides of influence which is persecution Salt and Light we won't get into those that might be another day but praise persecution Salt and Light they that live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution but you know what your persecution are you being persecuted is actually a witness amen you are a testimony you are salt the salt of the earth H you being bring flavor and preserving power that God has a church God has a people and then ye are the light of the world shall we stand tonight a city that is set upon a hill amen we were illuminated the Bible says pray praise God uh that this light would shine through us uh that the excellen seed might be of him and not ourselves uh you are the light to the world so all of these ingredients are Treasures that you're going to work on all your life uh and the greatest thing that you can do is say Lord I'm giving them to you and one day amen all of those things that were so precious uh you can give them to him because these are the ingredients and these are the things things that will stand the test of time God bless you tonight let's go into worship tonight in Praise thank you
