What You Have In Jesus: Treasure

are you glad to be here today amen I'm glad to be in the house of the Lord and our nation is starting to shift gears and we're we have a few changes if you stayed up late last night some of you might have stayed up late last night you've noticed there's been some few changes but you know what I want God's will to be done Lord your will be done in our nation praise God what what is God's desire what what does God want what is God's heartbeat in these series of teaching on these Wednesday nights for this month I want to talk to you on the subject of treasure and um I want to First first of all tonight I'd like to lay a foundation on Treasure and there's many scriptures concerning treasure and and things pertaining to that but I want to ask you a question tonight what do you treasure well I have this and I have that the tendency of humanity is our accumulations my collection these are my treasures and I hold them dear I'm want to go beyond that to the from the the things that we might accumulate a bigger Barn whatever it is and bigger storage area that you have to pay for and put stuff in that's been in boxes for years you know how it can get but I want to talk to you about biblical Treasures that are far beyond any value as far as money or Earthly accumulations and power and recognition

first scripture I want to talk to you if you would take your Bibles whether you have a technology Bible that might be on your phone or something or on a pad which has all kinds of stones in it did you know all of the different things that makes that up it's interesting a whole lot involved or you might just have paper today whatever it might be but we are one to put that into our hearts now Deuteronomy chapter 6 uh verse 5 excuse me chapter 5 and verse 29 oh that there were such a heart in them heartbeat of God that they would fear me and keep all my Commandments always that it might be well with them and with their children forever the longing of God for his people oh that they might have a heart that would fear me and keep all my Commandments that it might be well with thee and with their children forever Biblical history of Salvation is a constant attempt of God to draw men and women away from their sin and its destructive consequences to himself God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself not imputing their trespasses unto them and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation the greatest thing that we could do in this day and age is through the power of the Holy Ghost is be an ambassador for him every one of us an effective work worker in the kingdom of God we're all different from your eye your your fingerprint we're all different but we all have a purpose and we all fit into the body of Christ praise God but the heartbeat of God oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep my Commandments and to lay a foundation tonight I want to talk to you probably about a wonderful treasure that is so important and it's like a springboard without it you can't go to the others without this first and you'll see this on throughout the Bible it talks about it but without this uh that you you know you try to you try to bypass this and you think well I'll do this and do that but I've got to go back if I miss a rung in the ladder I've got to go back and repeat it and I want to talk to you about the fear of the Lord the fear of the Lord be in Deuteronomy chapter 6 this is right after five which is The Ten Commandments and doing all of this and and then he said oh if they just Only Had a Heart To Fear me and it'll be well with them their children but he goes on in chapter 6 and verse one and he says this now these are the Commandments the statutes and the judgments which the Lord your God commanded to teach you that you may do them in the land where whether ye go to possess it that thou mightest fear the lord thy God to keep his statues and his Commandments which I command thee thou and thy son and thy Sons Sons all the days of thy life it never starts at a certain place and then it ends and then you've arrived every day is a new day today is the day of salvation today is a day I need fresh bread I need fresh anointing I need something for today tomorrow may never come yesterday is gone I can't live in the past and the regret of if only this or that I've got to live in today and all the days of my life that thy days may be prolonged I want to live a full life I want to live a life I believe you want to live a life life that that that God blesses you and on your journey and and all the things you do and all of this is a stepping stone or a springboard and to the next scriptures that says here oh Israel the Lord our God is one Lord and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart soul mind and strength diligently teach them unto your children and and and put the put them on the walls and write them on your forehead you know all these things that you do bind them on your head all that but that would not go into effect a and be be profitable if there was not the fear of the Lord first

Psalms 111 Psalms 111 and I'll start with verse one it says this talking about the Lord's wonderful works praise ye the Lord I will praise the Lord with my whole heart let my whole heart praise you God let not my heart be divided let it not be faulty uh your heart is desperately wicked who can know it God's the one who knows it he searches the heart he tries the reins uh he's the one who does surgery uh the word of God is quick and Powerful sharper than any two-edged sword piercing even divide and Sunder of Soul and Spirit and the joints and the marrow and it is a discerner uh of the thoughts and the intents of the Heart Lord you do surgery on My Heart Lord Lord my whole heart not a portion of my heart not a this Lord I'm going to fear you on this side and and this side I'm going to give it to that uh but Lord let it be my whole heart in the Assembly of the upright and in the congregation I love to come to the house of God where God's people are because we are one of another we are laborers together with him we have the privilege and the the challenge and the promise that we will be caught up together amen it's going to be together Heaven's not going to be an isolated case that person you might not get along with just right they might have connecting doors in heaven with you that one you wouldn't go on vacation with but by J you might have connecting doors in heaven together the whole heart The Works of the Lord are great sought out if you you're going to find it you're going to have to go after it there is so much in the scripture of searching uh the Bible talks about hid Treasures uh it's something that has to be discovered uh you came in this truth because someone was searching someone was hungry they that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled uh and and they were hungering uh and they came to a knowledge and it it was was people revealing it to people all of us are here today because somebody's lives touched us and somebody gave themselves into the word of God and searched the Scriptures Daily uh uh like the bereans who were a noble Bunch the Bible says a a and study to show thems approved unto God and all these things they did a and his works are great and they're sought out you've got to go after it God's great works praise God of all them that have pleasure therein they are desirable Works uh his work is Honorable and glorious uh oh you think about glorious his work is glorious uh it the Bible says his rest is glorious uh the Bible says the Glorious Liberty oh God that we go come into the Glorious Liberty uh a a and the glorious power it's a glorious gospel the Glorious appearing of Our Lord Lord and Savior Jesus Christ not only that the Glorious body that will be fashioned like unto his glorious body that God has promised every one of us this whole body gets old this old body gets tired you know you can come to the house of God and you can be tired but I can guarantee you one thing if you'll give it your best you can leave refreshed I believe that with all my heart because there's a difference between when I come as opposed to when I leave right because because God honors your sacrifice and you know the American dream you go after it you got to do this and do that and and make a living and this and you come and we live in a tired Nation but I pray that God will refresh you through his word tonight praise God his righteousness endureth forever praise God it's his righteousness not my own righteousness it's all filthy rags that's why I need his righteousness they went about to establish their own righteousness that was a problem with those Jews they went about to establish their own righteousness oh I'm this and I'm that and I I can do that and but he said his righteousness endureth forever he hath made his wonderful Works to be remembered oh let me not ever forget what he has done let me not ever forget what he is doing and let me not ever forget what he is going to do he delivered us from so great to death the Bible says he doth deliver and in whom we trust he will yet deliver past present future he's taking care of the past you don't have to live in the past you don't have to worry about the past that's why the Bible Paul said forgetting the things which are behind I press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus I go forward but I'm now I'm he do he he has doth deliver in the present in whom we trust he will yet deliver I'm not worried about tomorrow I'm not worried about what's going to happened to our nation what I'm concerned with Lord I want your will to be done I I want to be a part of the outpouring of the Holy Ghost that you promis uh I want to do my part what I can put my hand to the plow and not look back praise God he had made his wonderful Works to be remembered the Lord is gracious and full of compassion thank God for compassion he had compassion upon you and me amen he hath given meat un to them that fear Him you like ribey oh yeah you like ribey you like bread oh you like bread hey sometimes it's milk uh sometimes it's honey oh there's all kinds of goodness in that but strong meat uh when when when you want to get into it and eat something really good you you you you you you Muse over the scriptures uh the flip side of that I I'll sit and watch something and amusement tells me what I need to do whereas musing over the scriptures I think about it I contemplate it I turn it over in my mind Lord what do you saying I'm looking at it from different angles saying God what is going on what are you telling me praise God he hath given meat unto them that fear him he's got stake for you amen but he wants you to fear him praise God he ha he will ever be mindful of his Covenant the blood of the Everlasting Covenant the Bible says uh he's mind ful of his Covenant uh amen he was delivered for our offenses he was raised for our justification uhuh everything in the past the handwritings the ordinances that was against us he took it he nailed it to the cross the Bible says all of these things he did uh he is mindful of his Covenant praise God thank God it's an everlasting blood Covenant uh at the name of Jesus and the precious blood of Jesus could carry us all the way praise God but it's going to cause me to fear Him and cause me to respect him and honor him he has shown his people verse 6 the power of His Works wonderwork power you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you there is power in his Works uh building yourselves up on your Most Holy Faith praying in the Holy Ghost uh praise God uh we need that power that comes from him that comes from you seeking him be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might uh our strength is not in human flesh our strength is not fighting one another but our strength comes being strong in in the Lord and the power of His might praise God that he may give them the heritage of the Heathen you know what our desire is for the Heathen that they come in and they become Saints praise God Saints of the most high amen praise God the works of his hands are Verity truth and judgment all of his Commandments are sure they are forever settled in heaven Thy word is forever settled in heaven heaven and Earth shall pass away but my word shall never pass away their stand sure they stand fast forever and ever and are done in truth and uprightness uh oh buy the truth uh and sell it not uh receive the love of the truth not the alternative the Bible over in in in uh Thessalonians said they received not the love of the truth and that and they believed a lie God sent a strong delusion that they would believe a lie and be damned this is not a day to reject truth this is a day to love truth this is a day to receive the love of the truth because truth is designed to love because God is love and in him there's no darkness and he is truth praise God he sent Redemption into his PE unto his people he hath commanded his Covenant forever holy and reverent is his name there's no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord his name Jesus they shall save his people from their sins to save me from sin to pull me out of Darkness into this Marvelous Light to to give me an understanding uh that God you love me a and you care for me and your name is important uh and to fear his name is to to honor that name whatsoever thou doest in word or deed do all in the name of Jesus can you attach jesus' name to that activity you do in the dark can you attach Jesus name to those things that uh that people might say come and do this with me can I attach his name or does it bring a reproach to his name all right verse 10 the fear of the Lord how many of you want to be smart I want to be smart not to make more money not to do this or that or how to drive a a sports car better and faster or to get on a motorcycle and and go faster no brother I'm not talking about you I used to ride a motorcycle give me wisdom and stability in the day we live in the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom a good understanding have all they that do his Commandments in in the word of God you're going to find over and over the fear of the Lord and obeying the Commandments fear God and keep his Commandments that's our duty Call of Duty all of you are trapped in these little space age things I don't know what they're called I don't play it call that's the real Duty there is a true Call of Duty is to preach this gospel to love souls to be a part of what he is doing praise God that do his Commandments the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom you want to be smart you want to have knowledge not that you could use it and consume it on your own lust or build you bigger barns that one day the kids are going to fight over but God let me walk in wisdom to those at without Redeeming the time let my speech give me the words to speak to these guests that come to church every Sunday morning let that net work and we we we get them in the net and if there's a hole in the net Lord G give me the understanding to men the net restoration restore someone overtaken in a fault ye who are spiritual restore them in a spirit of meekness work on that praise God fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom God I want your wisdom I want your wisdom as we navigate the next weeks months years if the Lord terries in our nation what's going to happen we don't know I me you go back four years you go back to the co days that that old boat was rocking a little bit what's ahead I don't know but give me wisdom for the day that I live in that I can serve you and I can live according to your purpose not my will but your will be done Lord praise God

Isaiah chapter 33 and 6 they were going through some tough times and and and they were struggling but this is what their treasure really was Isaiah 33 and6 and wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times what do we need in this day that we live in what type of stability do I need and I need God's wisdom and God's knowledge that's why the Bible exhorts us forsake not the assembl of yourselves together and so much more as you see that day approaching every time you come to the house of God and someone ministers to you you're feeding on the word of God and God is building you he is strengthening you a a and he he you're working on that Foundation you're laying up Treasures in Heaven where moth no does corrupt nor thieves are going to break through and steal these things that we do you see but here wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times and strength of Salvation God give me the wisdom and the knowledge to live for you in this last day in a day of perilous times in a day uh uh of of departure men shall depart from the faith given heed to seduc and spirits and doctrines of devils the Bible says uh that in a day that they will have a a a a pretentious love of God but their Works will deny him Lord let my Works my actions what I do in life confirm my love to you through obedience here in the word of God it says the fear of the Lord is his treasure could I present to you tonight one of the greatest treasures that you can possess one of the greatest things that you can get a hold of is fear God with all your heart I'm not talking about oh I'm kind of afraid something might happen or or oh I'll give my my my little this or that and but I'm not going to give 100% no I I I I have a a of him uh he said in all things he must have the preeminence uh preeminence is first place seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be we added unto you we want all these things added unto us first and then I'll seek you Lord and and and after you know you bless me a lot and give me all the goodies and make me feel good then I'll try to live a righteous life no no seek him first he told the prophet you bake me the prophet told the Widow you bake a little cake for me first what a hold on I can't bake you know we're about to die we're starving to death and you want that no you bake it first for me he said and then that meal Barrel will never run dry I am convinced with all of my heart if you seek God first all of these things whatever you need he's going to supply it might not be all your want I don't think any of here are starving to death we're not destitute we're not facing persecution like they are in foreign countries we're blessed as a nation we're we're blessed as an American people how long do we have that sense of freedom I don't know but while it is still day let us work because when the night cometh no man shall work I'm not looking for the night I'm looking for that day oh that day we're not children of Darkness we're not Children of the Night uh we are to walk in the day amen praise God the fear of the Lord is his treasure treasure

Matthew 133 and44 again the Kingdom of Heaven is like under treasure hid in a field here it is again something that's hidden that has to be discovered you you're going to have to go after it it takes studying it it takes study to show thyself approved unto God not approval of your pastor or or or your spouse or or your Sunday school teacher but study to show thyself a proof of God a Workman that needeth not to be ashamed there will be a day that God is going to be ashamed of people I don't want to be ashamed of him on this day amen a Workman that need not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of Truth understanding the word of God what the scripture says oh they ask the question men and Brethren what shall we do he said repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission or the Forgiveness of sins uh Pastor will be happy to baptize you any time amen for the remission of sin uh and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promises unto you and to your children and to those that are far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call how many is he called he has called all unto repentance not willing that any should perish but all would come to repentance that all men would be be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth Lord I Want Your Truth so the Kingdom of Heaven is like un treasure like it's a comparison hid in the field when a man hath found he hideth and for Joy thereof goeth and selleth all he ha and by the field you got to sell out to everything you you've got to give it all and it's going to cost you you're going to have to count the cost the Bible says you're going to have to pick up your cross daily and follow him you want to be a fisher of men well first of all you got to follow him then he will teach you sometimes Lord I want to be a good fisherman I want to win souls but you're not following me follow me and I will make you Fishers of Men praise God he hideth for Joy he sth all the a b the field again the Kingdom of Heaven is like under Merchant seeking goodly pearls who when he found one pearl of great price he went sold all he had and he bought it how precious is these Treasures that God has given to his people how precious are they to you you can have a lot of types of treasures I've got some stuff I've collected over the years but you know what a lot of times it's more joy for me to give it away than to hold on to it there's a joy that comes from that because I realize I'm not going to take it with me a preacher once said you'll never see a hearse behind I mean a U-Haul trailer behind a hearse you ever seen that that hearse going by is a U-Haul trailer no U-Haul trailer not taking it with you but you can send it on ahead lay up Treasures in Heaven praise God set your affections on things above and not this Earth amen we we we are trapped in this earn jar it gets tired it gets hungry it gets grouchy it gets mad it gets jealous it has to deal with lust it has to deal with unforgiveness but yet God has chosen to put a treasure in Earth and vessel that what that the Excellency of the power may be of God and not of ourselves when you realize within me there's no good thing Lord if I'm detached from you I'm going to wither up and I'm going to dry that Branch I'm just going to fall down and dry up and I'm going to be firewood I'm going to be like chaff which the wind driveth away chaff is goes to the fire chaff was used uh that it would fuel the fire to cook the good the wheat I don't want to be fueled to cook a fire praise God I want to be wheat you want to be wheat because he's going to gather his wheat in and that chaff is going to go into unquenchable fire where the worm dieth not neither the fire is quenched

Colossians 2 and 3 in whom are HID all Treasures upon of wisdom and knowledge in Christ Jesus are HID all these Treasures amen for you to uncover it says lay not up yourselves Treasures upon Earth where moth and rust do corrupt and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves Treasures in Heaven tonight you've laid up another treasure you've come to the house of God you you've made a conscious choice you woke up this morning you maybe you read your Bible you you took time to pray and to talk to him you're laying up those Treasures moth nor rusts does corupt corrupt where thieves do not break through nor still and this is very important for where your treasure is there will your heart be also wherever your treasure is you're going to find your heart or whatever is in your heart that's what you're going to treasure Lord create in me a clean heart renew within me a right Spirit Lord let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord my God my strength and my redeemer

Psalms 19 and7 the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul the testimony of the Lord is sure Mak him wise the simple the statutes of the Lord are right rejoice in the heart the Commandment of the Lord is pure Enlighten in the eyes the fear of the Lord is clean oh it's clean it can cleanse you this fear of the Lord it can it can cause you to walk God let me have clean hands and a pure heart endureth forever the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether more to be desired his desirable works his salt after works it's something that it's going to be a Pursuit all your life you never get to a place where I've arrived I'm just going to sit back and I'm going to grease my way into heaven as some want to do it's not Greece it's God's grace and the grace of God that bringeth salvation has done what it has appeared unto all men teaching us if you're going to allow Grace if you're going to look into the fear of the Lord if you're going to look into the Holy Mountain of God that Grace will teach you that denying ungodliness and worldly lust we should live soberly and righteous and godly in this present World we're passing through I'm just a stranger I'm a pilgrim I'm a souljourner I'm one that is just passing through and one day I'm going to give an account of what I've done in this body and woo I'm going to rest for my labors but what what's that my works are following me and you too let's do the right thing more to desired are they than gold oh if I can have gold you know if I would have bought Pastor if we would have bought gold say 20 30 years ago we'd be sitting good wouldn't we maybe some of you did it's pretty high I I remember back when it was like 253 300 and I think it's what in the thousands now you need go don't raise your hand yeah just see Pastor just take it all there the coffers and everything that's going to the new property praise God you don't like gold but you wouldn't turn it away would you more did they desire than gold this is more desirable than money the love of money is the root of all evil but we need money to live there has to be you you learn balance God give me the wisdom to to do the right way praise God yay much more than fine gold sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb moreover by them is thy servant warned and in keeping of them there is great reward the fear that is clean the fear of the Lord oh that I might see the beauty of the Lord into inquir in his Temple to see God's Beauty don't be one that comes to church and wondering what so- and so is doing or that or who's here or not here but look for the the beauty of the Lord and God God what do you have for me today I've it's it's a new day Lord and I want I want something fresh some fresh Mana that stale bread from uh last week or the week before or it's it's not sufficient I need some fresh stuff fear of the Lord speaks of his Holiness his rever to reverence him to respect recognizing his preeminence that word I mentioned earlier he has to be first place and all things he must have the preeminence is he's got to be first that's why we seek him first first first of all prayers supplications giv of thanks be made for all men seek ye first the kingdom of God uh God is a God he wants certain things first first of the Commandment hereo Israel praise God all these things talking about him he we honor him there is accountability in looking to him the fear of the Lord accountability of my actions my Works my words that I'll give an account so all stand before Jesus Christ and give an account what we've done accountability dependence his glory his Holiness his majesty his power respect unto the recompense of the reward it's not just here but it's there they saw them a far off the Heroes of Faith you read it they saw them AAR off they embraced them they confessed them we're just pilgrims strangers passing through you've got to see it a far off looking and hasten to the coming of the Lord I've got to embrace habach the word habac his name was Embrace I I embrace and as I embrace him I draw nigh unto him and he draws nigh to me and I'm loving him from my heart and I'm fearing Him

Luke said this 12 and 4 and I said unto you friends be not afraid of them that kill the body and after that they have no more that they can do but I forewarn you whom ye shall fear fear Him which after he ha he hath killed hath power to cast you into hell yay I say unto you fear him he's the author and the finisher of my faith I can Buck at it just like the man did in the book of Acts when they he was kicking against the Pricks or the goats those long pointed things that they would Punch The Oxen or the cow or whatever it was the horse and and all that animal could do because it was in a yoke it could just kick at it but it couldn't do it and they said uh why it's so hard for you to kick against that you can't fight it the greatest thing that we can do is submit to him and start with the diving board the springboard before you Dive Into the Depths you get on that springboard of the fear of the Lord praise God because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily therefore the hearts of the sons of men is fully set to do evil there's notot a lot of harsh laws today in the land and there's a lot of activities going on that people are getting by with things over in a country I went to a town near the city of voy and uh I was talking to the people from the village and they said you know what you can leave your doors open here leave your car unlocked you can leave your windows open and uh your house you know it's all unlocked at night nobody bothers it cuz you see that Cliff over there that Mountain over there with that face a cliff if they Catch a Thief if they catch a bad guy you know what they do they take him to the top of that mountain and they throw them off there wasn't no thieves around you nobody wants to steal because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily therefore the hearts of the sons of men are fully debt are fly set to do evil we are living

that's Ecclesiastes 8 and 11 uh though a sinner do evil will a h 100 times and his days be prolonged yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God which fear before him but it shall not be well with the wicked neither shall he prolong his days which were which are as a shadow because he fearth not before God the choice of the righteous and the choice of the wicked one will fear God and keep his Commandments the other one will disregard it and say hey it's not happening getting by with it I'm doing this and doing that and I'm just going to keep on and and one day they're going to give an account and the Bible says it will not be well oh continuing well doing the scripture says over in Romans praise God be steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord for you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain it's not going to be an empty reward oh that we receive a full reward praise God praise God Bible in one uh let me let me hurry on we're running out of time

the Bible says in Proverbs 8 and13 the fear of the Lord is to hate evil pride and arrogancy and the evil way and the forward mouth do I our hate uh Lord help me to love righteousness and hate evil oh to hate Pride let not Pride come into my spirit Pride goeth before uh uh Pride goeth Before Destruction a Hy spirit before the fall let not arrogance see be in my life Lord but let me humble myself under the mighty hand of God and he will exalt you in due season praise God over in the book of Acts 9 and 31 the Bible says this what was the early church doing how were they edified and how did they have rest in the midst of persecution in the midst of trouble this is what they did acts 9 and 31

then had the churches rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria and were edified oh they were built up uh and walking in the fear of the Lord not just a thought not just oh uh a suggestion but I'm walking in it it speaks of action it it's I'm doing it I'm walking in the fear of the Lord every day I I I'm honoring you Lord I'm doing these things I'm walking in the fear of the Lord and what comes with that is the comfort of the Holy Ghost amen I wonder if we could stand tonight amen the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Ghost what what is your treasure what do you treasure what what what what are you looking forward to what do you want God to do amen it is his his righteousness and his love and

over in Revelation 15 and4 it says this who shall not fear thee Oh Lord and glorify thy name for thou only art holy for all nations shall come from the north the South the East and the West they shall come and worship before thee for thy judgments are made manifest uh God has manifested his word to us he he has declared his word to us uh his word is forever settled and and what he wants us to do is fear Him and keep his Commandments that is our duty and also walk in the comfort of the Holy Ghost amen I wonder if we can lift our hands uh as they go into song and and cement that into my spirit Lord Lord I I I I give myself to you once again Lord and I love you today in Jesus name praise God thank you Jesus
