A Good Place To Fall | Evangelist Robert Martin

Jesus in the name of Jesus let's give the Lord another great praise would you come on let's Magnify Him Hallelujah we love you Lord we praise you Lord in this house I believe we've been to church tonight I'm going to read in just a moment so if you would just remain standing just for a moment I want to first thank Bishop Carpenter and his family for the great honor of standing behind this pulpit and this wonderful Church I give honor to him to his family Ericksons and Hammonds and all of you all of you that make all of this work thank you and God bless you and uh truly truly a city sit on the hill that shows forth the glory of God in this community and Beyond and thank you thank you brother Carpenter for being a great leader and re-elected again to serve doing a wonderful job and a great preacher for many many years and continuing to preach just wonderfully but better than all of that I just want to thank him for being a great man who deserves honor and Commendation I think the church ought to give your leadership a hand of appreciation and thank them amen so I'm glad to see all of you a lot of friends I see in the building glad to see you I want to say a special thanks to brother sister white it was such a blessing and strength to me and our church for so many years and love and appreciate them and so many more of you God bless you when I first started pastoring didn't know what I was doing when I stopped pastoring I still didn't know what I was doing but anyway when I first started uh they elected me to this church and the first person who came and preached for me was brother Carpenter I reminded him of that I'd only been there a few days and I'm like you got to come preach these people and do something and help me out and uh and that's why I remember I didn't know much about the town I didn't even have you have a hotel room for him and so after church I'm driving around the city trying to find a hotel and then a room inside the hotel eventually we got that done but uh thank you brother Cartman for your uh your influence on our lives when we flooded in 2016 brother Carpenter sent a crew of men from this church who came and camped out in our flooded house for a week and hung all the sheetrock in our house and I've got to this day I've got help me Jesus I've got a Tennessee Volunteers basketball that's got all of their that's got all of their signatures on it and uh go Tigers Hallelujah and I I appreciate all that they have done and all that they mean to us when I started evangelizing just a little over maybe I guess two years now year and a half real Carpenter yeah when as soon as he heard that I was evangelized he called me and said I'm going to send money and invest seed money in your evangelism and the only person who did that and thank you for that thank you the Lord's here I want to preach just a few minutes can you help me just a few minutes tonight amen now I I wasn't I wasn't raised in church I don't think you were I wasn't raised in church I started going to church when I was 13 years old and that's been at least five years ago Truth at least five years ago and I went because a Sunday school teacher invited me shout out to all you Sunday school teachers a Sunday school teacher invited me and said they're having revived with this small local Country Church in North Louisiana invited me to go and this is what he told me he said come to the Revival said there will be girls there come on 13 year olds and they'll have candy what else you need so I went and so help me there's one girl there and I got a peppermint but in spite of the deceit and trickery and treacherousness I'm still in the church today because the Evangelist and his wife started singing a song that I'd never heard in my life but they sang surely the presence of the Lord is in this house and something got a hold of me as a teenager I haven't always got it right but I've always got up and I keep coming to the house of God because there's something about the house of God and being in church with God's people I want to read very quickly in Acts 20 beginning at verse 6 about a young man who was in church we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread and came unto them Detroit ass in five days where we Abode seven days and upon the first day of the week when the disciples came together to break bread Paul preached unto them well that sounds good ready to depart on the morrow and continued his speech until midnight now I don't know how good that sounds now I've never been compared to Paul in any capacity much less preaching that law is that right family thank you and there were many lights in the upper chamber where they were gathered together and they're sat in a window a certain young man named eudicus everybody say eudicus being fallen into a deep sleep and as Paul was long preaching you need to insert the word here duh to midnight that's long preaching he uticas sunk down with sleep and fell down from the third Loft and was taken up dead Paul went down fell on him embracing him sad trouble not yourselves for his life is in him and the Bible speaks from the Greek to let us know that he indeed did die but God resurrected him aren't you glad that he is the resurrection and the life when he therefore was come up again like coming up for air he came up again had broken bread eaten and talked a long while even to the break of day so he departed ladies and gentlemen that is a long-winded preacher even he had a miracle interrupted and he still preached at least till six in the morning I guess is that when the day breaks anybody know and they brought the young man alive and we're not a little company for a few minutes I want to preach to you on this thought a good place to fall it's a good place to fall Lord Jesus right now would you Embrace us with your spirit would you let your hand rest upon us and would you minister to every vessel every soul in this place God I pray for the next few minutes that we would hear what heaven would speak to us in this hour in Jesus name we give you praise amen give him a hand clap of Praise as you're seated thank God and thank God for all the ministers in the building so many wonderful accomplished ministers I'm honored to stand here there are many stories in the Bible about people falling asleep Adam fell asleep and he woke up missing a rib and with a wife so be careful Samson fell asleep and woke up with a haircut some people might fall asleep for that Jonah fell asleep on a boat woke up in a storm only to be thrown overboard and swallowed by a great fish it's all kind of stories in the Bible about people falling asleep and then we have this young boy named eudicus there are many other instances but uticas will forever be known as the boy who fell asleep during Paul's sermon we don't know a lot about him other than that that he was in church fell asleep fell down died and was resurrected we can relate to sleeping in church because we teach our babies to sleep in church we bring and put them under the pews try to get them to sleep we understand we have a lot of stories about sleeping I was preaching one time and after church a gentleman came up to him and he said pastor I'm sorry I tried to stay away I try to stay awake but I was so tired I fell asleep when you were preaching and I said that's quite all right because sometimes I fall asleep while I'm preaching too and then one time there's a story of me falling asleep on an airplane which is very common when I get on an airplane I want to go to sleep would you leave me alone I don't need to be told a thousandth time how to buckle up I know how to do that I just fall asleep and I say whenever it lands and they tax you down and people are getting off the plane just wake me up anybody understand what I'm preaching right now so on this particular flight taxis people are getting off the plane the wife wakes me up and opened my eyes I look into the aisle and there's three or four people with their cell phones and some of them are videoing and some of them are taking pictures of me then like what's going on and she said well you were snoring so loud and kind of drooling out of the side of your mouth and people were videoing you and taking pictures and I'm thinking that would have been a good time for a wife to wake somebody up and help a brother out just a little bit we all know about falling asleep we we know that and uticas fell asleep in church he's tired he's a young man he had a busy day got things to do tomorrow he's tired and he goes up into the third floor up to a window maybe the if there's a breeze that might help keep him awake but the lights were bright up in the chambers and he couldn't help himself can you really blame him I wonder how anybody was still awake to be honest with you if you're preaching to midnight and then to six in the morning but uticus was overtaken by sleep he tried to fight it the best that he could but he just couldn't he just couldn't stay awake so he fell asleep but the tragedy is when he fell asleep he rolled over and fell and hit the floor and died from the third floor up he died he fell asleep in his sleep led him to death and I know I have and others have spoken about uticus at times and use him as a lesson to say hey don't fall asleep in church in the spiritual scenario and I understand that that can and should and is preached I'm going to go a little deeper right now to tell you I believe Utica fell asleep and died just simply because he was sleepy and the story is that this young man fell asleep and I don't come to con condemn euticus because I've fallen asleep at church as well but here's the important thing about uticas and the beautiful thing about Utica is he was there he's there he's there he's a young man and he was there in church he understood the need to be in the house of God he knew the importance of being in the presence of Jesus as you do he knew the importance of hearing the word of God from from Paul the esteemed Minister who is visiting them he knew he I want to be there and I want to listen to the preaching and I I want to be in the presence of Jesus not only that there were people that were praying in the building and he knew the importance of prayer and he knew the importance of Fellowship that we can be together with God's people so I come to commend Utica and say thank you young man for being in church and thank you for being there and understanding the importance and the significance of being in the house of God I thank him and I applaud him for that so here's a kid who falls asleep and his name is splattered on the Bible for centuries for us to read about uticas and I began to think why is uticus's name in the Bible you see Luke wrote the Gospel of Luke as well as Acts and in the Gospel of Luke he speaks about a lot of people that were healed at the hand of Jesus Christ Luke wrote about them and he never gave their name and I'm thinking well if God does this and raises somebody up you're going to write a book you might want to go and say hey what's your name I want to remember your name when I write my book but he doesn't give the names of these individuals of a leper of a paralyzed man of a man with a withered hand of a centurion servant who was healed or the woman with the issue of blood or to possessed the son of the demoniac and even Jairus his daughter we know the dad's name not the daughter but all of these people that are are healed and great things happen in their life we don't have their names in the scripture Luke didn't share that but he did share the name of one young person who fell asleep in church what's the significance of doing that and I believe it's for a reason I believe that Luke put his name in the Bible because of what his name means utica's name means fortunate fortunate and I believe that he pinned that to let us know this is fortunate that when you fail you fell in a good place it's fortunate that when you fail young man you fail in the right place because you fell where there was a preacher and you fail where there was a church and you fell where the name of Jesus was being preached and you fell where there was fellowship and you fell you fell in a good place where prayers were being made and could I just say for a moment that if you fall let me change that when you fall you young young people listen just for a moment there will be times that you won't get it just right no matter how many prayers have been prayed over you no matter how faithful you've been there will be a time that you won't get it right there'll be a time you'll say the wrong thing do the wrong thing commit a sin all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and I dare save we to be honest every one of us since conversion there's at least one time that we failed God knowing that what we were doing was not right does anybody hear me but the important thing is not will that happen because it will happen at some point the important thing is that when it does happen you make you sure you fall in a good place you see young people you need to make sure that when you fall you fall in the house of God because sin will want to drag you out the door and say just continue on in this and let's do this tomorrow but the grace of God says if you'll come back I will forgive you and I will cleanse you and it's going to be all right don't tear because there will be a time that you will fall we know what failure feels like we've all Fallen at times we know how it feels in every degree of failure where he has fallen upon hard times has anybody ever felt Fallen up on Hard Times maybe he fail Financial failure Health failure marriage failures children failing you might fall into doubt you might fall into fear you might fall into weariness you might fall into depression you might fall into a number of things I mentioned this morning or this afternoon yeah just a few weeks ago I was preaching in a church with a young lady who's been raised in the church and you would never know anything was wrong with her she was the epitome of the example in the church she was just a strong young lady who led in worship and did all of these things just a beautiful young lady dedicated to God in the church and when I was preaching she came up and she was praying and she just started sobbing and as she was sobbing I went up to her to pray with her and and I just felt led to ask you know kids there something can I help you somehow and she said nobody knows this but there's been a suicidal Spirit upon me raised in church and we prayed we rebuked that spirit and I'm glad that she began to speak in a Heavenly language as God Came Upon her but here's the thing it does being in church doesn't take you away from reality sometimes sometimes life's gonna slap you in the face and sometimes you're going to find yourself journeying to a big pen sometimes you're gonna find yourself going the wrong direction but when you fall make sure you fall this way follow this way don't fall out there fall this way and we have brothers and sisters and friends and family members who are right now distant from God we sit on the Pew and some of them may be at a bar somewhere they might be taking drugs and they used to be in church they were baptized at one point they were filled with the Holy Ghost at one point and there are scenes are so far and so distant some of them even leaning agnostic even toward atheism and they're doing things they never imagined and you as a parent or as a loved one or friend you never thought they would go that far and do the things that they do in our minds we say oh my goodness there they're a million miles from God they've taken so many steps away from God they're so far from God they're a million miles from God but can I tell you they're not as far away as you think they are and here's the reason why because they have a covenant with God and all the time they've been forgetting God God's been remembering them because he said you will forget the Covenant you may but I'll never forget the Covenant I'll never forget when you took on my name I'll never forget when you receive my spirit I'll never forget that and you may be a long ways away right now but I still am there knocking on your heart's door saying I love you and just waiting for an Ever subtle response so if they're a million miles away this is all they have to do stop and turn but I would warn them to be very careful when they turn because there's a father who's running to him he's Gonna Knock You down he's going to cover you he's going to embrace you he's going to kiss you he's going to hold you he's going to say I was just waiting for you to say just pray a prayer of repentance you don't have to make a million miles back because God will round a million miles to where you are fall in the right place young people fall in the right place I was praying for my kids today brother Cartman thank God what he's done in my kids I thank God Alex 25 he's married now and his wife moved him off oh God these women but this morning he was playing the drums worshiping God in the service and I want I would holler out to Alex there's going to come a time you don't get it right but son just keep going to the house of God and keep doing the best you can I know you're not always going to get it right I know you're going to fail God at times and have as I have I know that but would you please when you fall fall in the house of God make sure that you're fortunate enough to fall in the house of God no I thank God what he's doing in your life I prayed God let no always have a heart toward God and when you sing in church he sings in church and does these things it does my heart good but I also think I know at some point something's not going to be just right but if you fall when you fall sun fall in the fall in the house of God my mother my beautiful daughter I know you have a heart toward God you work for God you're such a hard worker but Milo please if you if when you fall make sure you fall this way thank you because if you fall this way if you fall in an altar if you fall on your knees and all the grace of God will fall on you the spirit of God will fall on you and cover you fall this way I said follow this way fall this way we'll fall that way fall this way fall this way you will make sure you fall in a good place and church is a good place it's a good place this is a good place because when you fall there's a preacher there who's going to love you there you hear me now there's people who are praying you might say I don't know how to pray I'm having a hard time praying that's all right somebody's going to pray with you and for you if you fall in the right place you'll be able to hear the name of Jesus even as you're on your way down even if he's falling from the rafters falling down the word of God's going forth and the word of God's going forward all the way to the bottom he can hear the word of God going forth so whatever it is and wherever you are and what's ever happening to you make sure you fall this way because you need a preacher and you need a church and you need the fellowship of God's people and you need the name of Jesus and you need a Praying people that will restore you is there anybody in the buildings ever been restored does anybody know what I'm talking about tonight you've been there but when you fail you fail this way I rebuke the devil that tries to pull you that way follow this way young people fall this way this is a good place before this is a good place for and we have all Fallen Adam fell evil and from that point on everybody fell everybody fell but Jesus came to undo what they couldn't do when all Humanity fell I'm glad that Jesus showed up but don't feel alone ladies and gentlemen when you fall because we've all Fallen can I tell you even Humpty Dumpty fell oh yes I'm preaching under the anointing right now because Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall Humpty Dumpty had a help me somebody had a great fall and ah the king's horses and ah the King's Men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again but I know a king I know someone who can put Humpty Dumpty back together again and he could put you back together again he can put you together my brother he can put you together my sister is anybody hearing me you have not fallen and cracked up so much that God can't put you back together again make sure you fall where the king is make sure you follow where the king is we all know what it feels like we all know how it hurts we all know how it hurts but this is a good place and utica's hear this I'm not gonna be much longer but listen to this when utica's you know he fell in a miracle environment preaching praying worshiping and breaking bread and fellowship he fell in a good place so I'm going to write that down Luke says I'm gonna write your name down son because you're fortunate foreign thank you Jesus for picking me up thank you for picking me up God he'll pick you up young people he'll pick you up he doesn't start hating you when you mess up he doesn't give up on you he loves you all the way through a little over three years ago my wife and I and our family face something that was unbelievably surreal well sitting up in the bleachers at a basketball game where my son Noah was playing and we were playing their school Central private was playing at school in our district called Southern lab Southern lab is the basically the Farm School of Southern University and Baton Rouge it's a it's a and I say this for a reason just so you'll understand this the school that Noah attended is primarily uh White Southern lab is primarily black we were playing at their school it was halftime and we were getting beat pretty badly because our guys played beneath the rims and they're played above rims come on my brothers and sisters y'all know but the defeat of the game at Halftime was not that important after a few minutes because I'm sitting up on the bleachers in our little Enclave of central private fans there's just a few of us not many because most of the crowd is made up of course of their the home crowd and man they're cheering they're just going good and wild and thankful for their team and all the victories and all the things that they're doing we're sitting over here just kind of waiting for the end of the game half time a young boy comes up out of the locker room the locker room is like that door over there and here's a gym he comes out in the locker room he comes through the base of the he comes the base of the gym base with the bleachers and he gets my attention I thought he said no one needs some water says okay I'll bring him some water and then he said no he's having seizures so I jump up in short a short distance from me was a the father of another son on our team as a doctor Dr Dean he was sitting over here and his son played on on the team too and he consent when I jumped up and began to to run toward the locker room that something went wrong he wasn't far behind me he came down he goes to the locker room and I run into the locker room and I'll go into the locker room my son Noah he's on the floor on that that cold slab that concrete slabs sweating because of the heat that slab on he's just laying there on the floor and then the coach tells us what happens and we're listening to the coach because by now it's Noah's coming out of seizure activity and everybody thought he's going to be fine and uh so he's there and he's telling us and the coach said he said while we were standing here getting ready to go the second half we were making plans you know going over plans for the second half as if that would help but anyway he said he's going over plans and he said while we were standing there Noah collapsed he said but before he hit the floor our team caught it caught him he was shaking they laid him down on the floor well they laid him down on the floor I came in the doctor comes in and as they leave Noah's there I'm there the doctor's there and the doctor said let's just roll them over his back I've seen this many times he'll be okay come out of seizure to kind of go limp he'll be he'll be okay just roll him over as I get on my knees I put my hand on his chest and I notice there's no movement I look over into his face and his face has turned an ash in gray color and the doctor's thing there said Doctor is he breathing the doctor checked he said he's not breathing call 9-1-1 so I jumped up and I ran out that door onto the onto the court area in that corner there and I and I called 9-1-1 and then I called 9-1-1 then I said out to the to the people in the gym I said give me about help us please somebody helping my son needs help in here is there anything out of here that can help please but you come help but we did not know is that Noah had a condition he was born with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and this condition as a large a large thick enlarged heart and it's 95 fatal and the reason it's 95 fatal is because typically when they fall there's nobody there to help because if you don't have CPR and if you don't have an AED the defibrillating device you know what I'm talking about matter of fact CPR won't save them you have to have an AED you have to have that device or they'll die but the reason is 95 failures because when people fall it's out on a field somewhere it might be they might be jogging down the road it can happen at any point it doesn't even have to be through exertion the doctor said at any point in his life and he's he was 16 at that time said in any condition any point in time he could be sleeping in the bed sitting on the chair sitting in the classroom at any point he could have an episode and you don't know anything about it but when you have an episode it's 95 fatal because there's nobody there to help you I wish you'd hear me because there's nobody there to help you and they and they die and again we didn't know that until we get to the hospital but all I know right now is that my son's not breathing so after I call 9-1-1 I ran back into the room and the doctor is here he's working on Noah past feverishly he's sweating he's working hard and I can look in his face and see the concern and the fear upon his eyes and suddenly someone from Southern lab comes in a gentleman comes in from Southern lab he takes his jacket off he gets down they start swapping he's working together working together on my boy and then and then another man comes in he comes in and he starts helping for a few minutes and then he leaves he was one of the coaches for southern lab he came and helped then he left and when he left a few minutes he came back and he came back with an AED the defibrillating device I've got my hand on no and I'm trying I'm trying to pray but I want to be honest with you I had a hard time praying because I was stricken with smear with fear and and I was numb to it and I was and I tell you what I had my hands on him trying to pray and what was happening is there was a fear on me and I began to sense death I began to since my boy died I could see a funeral and I could see a hearse I could see all of this stuff and I wanted to pray but I couldn't pray I should be able to pray I've been in church at least five years they should know how to pray or pray for other people and there I was like and I couldn't this gentleman comes in back in the one that left he came back in and they cut my boy's shirt I think I got a picture of his jersey where they cut it they cut his dirt they cut his shirt off and to get to him and then they they hooked up all this stuff all those things on him I had my hands on him he told me to move my hand I moved my hand I'm watching and they shot my son I saw his body convulse off of that slab and when his body convulsed I lost it and they had to drag me out so a couple of men came and got me and they dragged me out out through the door onto the corner over here and on the corner right there and I'm trying I'm trying to pray I'm trying to have faith and it's just so surreal I just can't believe it's happening and then I try to go back in they won't let me go back in I see people Milling about coming in and out and every face is one of fear every face is fear is death and every face everything's horrible and I'm trying to go back in and when I'm standing there the head coach of Sutherland a big tall stately black gentleman he walks over to me and he puts his arm around me and he tells me this he said listen to me when I was a little boy my dad told me son I'm going to teach you how to pray because one day you're going to need to know how to pray and he said this is the day that my dad taught me for and I'm going to pray for you I said listen don't worry about me pray for my boy in there pray for my Lord pray for my boy and he began to pray and then something amazing happened I told you we were just a small group of of our fans from our predominantly white school sitting over here and but then all of a sudden these ladies from Southern lab started coming out of the bleachers and they came over that area and there was 20 or 25 of them that came over to that area and and they they didn't they didn't even tip off the second half they didn't even start the second half because they knew something was going on in this group of women over here they weren't Apostolic they were they were probably most of them I found out later like like black Baptist ladies but I'm telling you let me tell you something when you're in a situation like that you don't care who they are where they're from what religion where are they being what's been going on you know not can I tell you that doesn't matter and it also doesn't matter that the school rules says you can't have prayer in here because when it's time and you're in a situation like that somebody's gonna touch God and Pastor what they began to do they began to call on the name of Jesus I'm telling you they started lifting their hands and saying in the name of Jesus and they started having a prayer meeting right over there outside the door of the locker room you can take your own Silly rules and get rid of them they don't mean anything when somebody needs to touch God and I was still I was still out of it and there was a a short lady who came up to me and she said look at me look at me look at me look at me and I wasn't looking at her I was I just couldn't look at anything so she grabbed me like this my face you grabbed my face right there he said look at me so I obliged and I looked at her and she said listen to me now look I'm the preacher I'm the pastor she said listen to me our God is a miracle working God and she spoke Faith to my faithlessness she spoke hope to my hopelessness she spoken what I couldn't speak it when I couldn't feel it when I couldn't sense of somebody touched God for my boy when your father make sure you follow the good place I've got a heart alone not much longer I looked down the side of my eyes I saw the ambulance finally arrived and I could see through the doorway of a boy in there and it stretches pulling them out and the doctor called me he said Mr Martin I go get on the back of the ambulance with the doctor myself and Noah and there's a couple of people in there they're trying to get control of them they're trying to sedate him but he doesn't have any control of his members he's just flailing about his arms his legs and he can't speak all he does every once while it's just a guttural sound he just can't talk he didn't have control they're trying to tie him down they can't get control to get them tied down and the doctor he says he said I'm not gonna lie to you Mr Martin is serious he wasn't breathing his heart wasn't beaten for 15 to 20 minutes he said we worked he said they had to shock him three times after I left they had to shock him a couple more times just to get the pulse back and here they are and we're going we finally get to the emergency room they wheel him in there's a bunch of people waiting on him and they finally get him they time down they sedate him and get him down and they wheel them into the emergency room and they will him into the mercy room my wife arrived she wasn't even there she didn't know what's going on I called her and she wasn't there to hit the game but anyway so we we go into the room and I just wanna I just want to insert this real quick I thank God my older son Alec he came he was the man of the house he was his arm he said look it's gonna be okay I gave my phone I said just call just call some preachers just just call Somebody Pray for your brother our son I'm sorry it's new every time I tell I'm sorry so the doctor of cardiologist comes in he he checks the he talks to the EMS people he looks at the chart and looks at the record he walks around he takes a few minutes doing all that and then he calls my wife and out of the back of the room he says I'm just gonna shoot straight with you I don't think he's gonna make I don't think he's going to make it I've seen this a lot of times I've seen this many times I don't think he's going to make it so so I would uh it's about nine o'clock at night now and I would go up every few minutes and I would go down to his lean down to his ear and I said no I love you I love you son there's no sound nine o'clock ten o'clock 11 o'clock twelve o'clock there's no if anything every once in a while it's just a just a guttering guttural sound there's no no communication at 12 o'clock one o'clock every few minutes I'm doing at two o'clock everything is about three o'clock in the morning I do it again I go up I go up and I lean my head down to no one I said no I love you he said I love you too that I jumped up I ran down the hall of the hospital three in the morning he's five he told me silk he talked he talked he talked he talked he talked that was three o'clock in the morning three o'clock by about noon the next day when the doctor walks in Noah is sitting in a chair or sitting up in his bed playing a video game y'all hear me now he had short-term memory loss he'll remember this but I can tell you even in that condition he beat me these kids are amazing the doctor walks in there he is sitting there playing the Dr looks looks at him what looks around looks a chart walks around looks at everything it takes a minute then he then he says come to the edge of the bed and he says he said I'm not a religious guy but I'll tell you this it's a miracle what's happening to your boy I didn't expect him to come out of there I didn't expect him to make it I didn't expect him to come out of that hello somebody there's another cardiologist who walked in just a couple little Parts I gotta say another cardiologist comes in and she was a a Muslim lady and she comes in and she looks and she does the same thing and then she comes to the edge of bed and she says this is what she says I don't know who you're talking to but keep talking to him because it's a miracle that your boys do that and another cardiologist came in it's a miracle and he was only there a couple of days and he sent him home they put on the newspaper and the lady said I worked at this newspaper for 25 years I've written about this many many many times it's the first time I've ever written about it where the person is alive so I'm telling you I got a testimony I've got a testimony of what God can do if you fall in the right place Pastor as bad as it was as horrible as it is as horrific as it was I just thank God he fell in a good place because when he fell the team caught him are you hearing what I'm saying the team caught him We're Not Gonna Let You Go without having a safety net to catch you on your phone we're gonna beat life back in you we're gonna put CPR in you we're gonna shock you back and we're gonna bring you back because if you fall here you fall in a good place all right as Christ preached I told this story a couple of months ago somewhere else and there was a cardiologist in the building a highly esteemed physician over a lot of cardiologists he came to the pastor afterward he said I want to tell you something pastor and you share this with him the miracle that he talked about is much more of a miracle than he even knows he said this is why he gave these words to me he said no no one most likely had an anoxic brain injury the cells of the brain begin to deteriorate rapidly and that's what results in the gurgling sound you heard he said that gurgling sound was telling you that his brain is deteriorating he should not have lived he should not have talked and he should not have ever looked you in the face again Noah stand up no walk right here look at that handsome boy look at that handsome boy fall in a good place follow where there's a preacher if I were there's a church follow this prayer can I kind of just just five minutes I got one other part I got to tell you just to show you how amazing this is first of all as you can see he's well graduated the next year the top percentages of his class he just finished just completed don't hold us against him please he just finished his second year at LSU come on come on calm down calm down he came through about three months ago brother he said they don't talk to you I feel like God's talking to him maybe about Ministry it got already my first remember he's got a he's got a little defibrillator he's got a scar right here he had to put defibrillator in in case it would happen again and you're like he got real depressed he look at that why me why me woman but after a while of being in the right place he said I want to tell everybody that this scar is a remembrance to me faithfulness of God in my life God praise me and God praise me hey show that show that third picture real quick not the second one the third one real quick youth convention they got all them hundred foot tall Christmas trees stuff I said no let's go here and get a picture he said no I want to get a picture by that so we take pictures by those things every time I pass one if you'd look close you can't see it but on the bottom of that box it says reviver reviver I thank God for he is our reviver what's that last picture that last picture Louisiana house and Senate two weeks ago they knew about what happened to him they brought him in to speak on a bill they're trying to pass a bill to make sure every elementary school middle school high school in the state of Louisiana has an AED and they will fund to make sure you have every school has an AED and he gave his testimony three different times to them and just I think it was last week or so they passed that bill and my son spoke at it I'll tell you God knows how to turn things for his glory but remain just thought about his fan I'm about done now that second picture they haven't used I just got to show you this real quick this this is coach Augustine this is unbelievable coach Augustine is the Middle School coach you have Middle School team Junior High team and then a varsity team Noah was on the varsity team they were the middle school team wasn't even playing that night this man coach Augustine a year or so ago about this incident he started raising money by selling this candy and stuff I know it looks good we're about to he started selling all this stuff to raise money for an AED for their gym because they didn't have an AED in their gym they didn't have one they said at one point they had one they said their words were it walked away someone took it they didn't have they didn't have an AED in that gym and this coach started raising money he'd set his little table over there and he'd start raising money except games and he raised this money a little bit at a time he raised enough to wear at one point brother Chad the the athletic department came to him said man you've got a lot of money you need to take this money and go buy new uniforms for all your team members because you got a lot of money they need some new uniforms he said no sir I'm raising this money because our gym needs an AED in it and he worked for over a year raising this money to buy an A.D he bought the A.D got to hear me he bought the AED and brought it and put it in his office the day before and it's on the night of the game on the night of the game he wasn't even supposed to be there his team won't even play and he's a middle school coach he wasn't even supposed to be there matter of fact he got on the interstate and he's heading toward Alexandria which is a little over two hours away because he has a meeting in Alexandria Nobody Knows the A.D is in his office but him nobody who knows it's there he gets on the road starts heading to Alexandria he gets a phone call the meetings canceled so he turned around they start driving back to go home and on the way home he said I want to just go by and see how the varsity teams do it I want to go by and see how they're doing he walks into the gym and is standing at their scores table at halftime and when I come out of that room and say can anybody help can anybody help he was stationed right there by the hand of God he's the guy who came in second he helped a few minutes then he left when he left he went to his office he took his key and he opened the door and went in and he got the AED and he brought it out of his office and he came and he hooked on my son and when I'm going through whatever I'm going through which is nothing compared to him obviously but when I'm going through that he's hooking it up these sharks my boy you know they dragged me out of the room but I didn't know the back story I didn't know that God had worked all of these things together to make sure that when my boy fell he fell in a good place all those things you do even in this church some of you think that you're insignificant the little things you do don't matter but what you're doing is setting the stage for every little thing every little piece of candy that sold everything set in the stage for a miracle so that when someone Falls the preacher there there's people pray in here people calling on the name of Jesus over there preaching going forth over here and everything's in place you got the A.D right there because when you fall make sure you fall in a good place all of us have fallen or will fall young people you will make sure you've Fallen a good place where you can beat the odds it might be 95 fatal for a lot of people but it doesn't have to be fatal for you cause this is a good place this is a good place make sure you fall in a good place what I want us to do is worship right now come on come on and lift your praise to God right now call on him right now in the name of Jesus in the name of much more than just the Sunday night service it's going to take much more than just a one-time altar call it's something over and over we're gonna have to keep on getting back up again every time we fall out of the window we're gonna have to get back up again we're gonna have to restore but I'm so thankful for the church I'm so thankful for a safe place I'm so thankful for a good place to fall
