Summary
- Roland Baker preaches at Because of the Times 2001, at The Pentecostals of Alexandria, from a single text in Jeremiah: the word spoken over a field that could not be bought, that there is nothing too hard for God. The sermon is one sustained application of that sentence — to Abraham's laughter, to Israel's wilderness arithmetic, to a woman at a well, to Job's restoration, to the covenant that cannot be broken, and to a conference being challenged to believe for doubled churches in 2001.
- **The text: nothing too hard for God.** He opens in praise, then tells on his own church: sixty-four acres the city would not let them build on, a buyer who came knocking a week later at a price beyond imagining, and interstate land a Filipino doctor agreed to sell the church at an unbelievable low price after seed had been sown in the Philippines — his proof that giving is given back by the hands of men. Only then does he open the text and read it aloud: the Lord God who made heaven and earth by his great power and stretched-out arm, for whom nothing is too hard.
- **Laughter at the promise.** Abraham at a hundred and Sarah at ninety laughed at the promise of a child, and the church laughs the same way: he recalls the previous night's challenge — believe God to go home and see your congregation double in the next year — and the skepticism it likely met in the far reaches of the auditorium. Be careful, he warns, when you start laughing at the promise of God; and he takes up the question God asked in Genesis when Sarah laughed.
- **Israel counting the cost.** The wilderness generation tired of the angelic food and asked for meat, then began to wonder whether God could really do what he had said. Psalm 78 is his record of it: a people who confessed the Red Sea, the pillar of fire, the water in the parched place — and in the very midst of the miracle believed not for his wondrous works, and asked whether God could furnish a table in the wilderness. Against them he sets brother Cunningham's two Sundays in Pontiac, preaching simply of God and the Holy Ghost, where 235 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
- **The hand that is not shortened.** God promised Israel meat for a whole month, and Israel calculated: six hundred thousand men on the march, and all their flocks and herds butchered would not be enough — which, he says, is the whole idea. He retells the little widow whose oil did not cease though the trouble and death around her did not change, and lands on God's own question in the story: is the Lord's hand waxed short — is anything beyond his reach? Put the calculators and tally sheets away.
- **Limitations at the well.** The woman at Jacob's well nearly missed her lifetime's answer because she measured it by herself: the well is deep, and she had nothing to draw with. Abraham, the friend of God, laughed too. A church that measures God by circumstance stays stagnant, but this one does not have to be shackled by uncertainty; he claims the doubling for his own city in 2001 and leaves the details to God, and refuses to let home missions be treated as a stepchild.
- **Dominions and powers.** Brother Stanford, after twenty-one failures, built a church in Boston where they said a church could never be; the late bishops warned brother Mangun he would never build in Pontiac because of the spiritual dominion seated at the state hospital — and a few months ago the wrecking ball levelled that hospital to the ground. Let them laugh; run on with the promise of the book. He closes the movement with the psalmist's wonder at the works of God recast in his own words: man is more important to God than the Grand Canyon, the falls, or the celestial universe.
- **Job: twice as much.** From his university study of the Bible as literature he confesses he learned his heroes had faults — Job among them: sorry for himself, then proud, until God stepped in and asked where he was when the foundations of the earth were laid, and announced, I am the Almighty. When the fight went out of Job, the turning came — in the last chapter, in the tenth verse: God restored twice as much, but only after Job prayed for the friends who had ridiculed and vilified him.
- **The unbreakable covenant.** He returns to his text — Hanamel's field, an impossible purchase, and Jeremiah's astonished prayer voiced again in full: behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth, and there is nothing too hard for thee. From there the covenant with Abraham: the divided sacrifice, the smoking furnace and the burning lamp, and a God who, because he could swear by no greater, swore by himself and put his name on the line. That is why the psalmist could say of Israel's keeper that he neither slumbers nor sleeps. He catalogues what that covenant-keeping God did for Israel — plagues escaped, the sea parted, the law given, manna, water from the rock, Jericho — and God's own boast over them: they are my nation, my chosen, my inheritance.
- **The witness of creation.** Abraham's seed are not mere heirs of an after-blessing; they are partakers of the covenant — if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed. And to Israel's question, how shall we know, Jeremiah answers that God did not leave himself without witness, and did not entrust the witnessing to frail men: he called the sun, the moon, the stars, the heavens, the earth, the sea, the day and the night — unbribable, unimpeachable, incorruptible witnesses. The heavens declare the handiwork of God; the promise can fail only when someone stops the clock of God and arrests the succession of night and day. Balak took Balaam to three strategic places and the word did not change; read it in any version, he says, and the answer still stands — repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and live holy.
- **Exceeding abundantly.** He closes on Ephesians: unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us — a flowing, he says, that never stops flowing, so the promise of God cannot be bankrupted. If God parted the sea for Moses, fed the multitude, and opened the prison for Peter, he will do a miracle for me today. He retells the rich young ruler and Jesus' answer — with God all things are possible — and tells of two men in his own county, its number-one and number-three drug dealers, who came to the Lord; one had a quarter of a million dollars in cash in the trunk of his car and kissed his wife goodbye expecting never to see her again. They are out there now, hurting and hungry, waiting for a church that will rise above its failures and say, God, there's nothing too hard for thee.

Baker let's lift him up together can we do that right now is he not worthy to be exalted after what we felt already today hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah let's exalt him again thank you Jesus thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord worthy oh Lamb of God turn in your Bibles with me I'm reading from Jeremiah chapter 32 brother Anthony Mangan let me just mention to you if I can I was talking to the church the other day about their giving it's an amazing thing when I began to read the scripture that tells us so emphatically that if we give it shall be given unto us but it didn't say God was going to give it to us it said that men shall give un your bosom I think we we need to start looking for men we're the apple of God's eye we're his pets don't you know that there's money out there in the pocket of men that they don't know what to do with and they're waiting for some Apostolic that's going to believe God by their giving God's going to prove to you that was on a Tuesday the week later on the next Tuesday we've been trying to build we bought 64 Acres the city said you can't build on it we said okay we don't know what to do we're out of room a week later they came knocking on my door they've offered to buy everything we have at a price far beyond anything I ever imagined now what do I do they said you can stay in your building till you build a new church but I have nowhere to go while I've been here there's acreage on the interstate that's not up for sale it's one of the Prime areas of our whole part of the country far beyond anything they're selling the land there for $500,000 an acre but a Filipino doctor happens to own it somebody just solded some seed in the Philippines re recently somebody just gave he's already agreed at an unbel I'm not going to tell you how much but an unbelievable low price that he would be willing to give that to the church you tell me this thing don't work you tell me it you give it shall be given brother sisom shaking together running over somebody needs to thank God you're going to go home and see that same miracle that our pastor talked to us about just a few minutes ago if it can happen in Alexandria it can happen in your city if it can happen in this church it can happen in your church now you praise the Lord for it thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord the Bible says Ah Lord God behold thou Hast made the Heaven and the Earth by thy great power power say great power great power and stretched out arm and there is nothing too hard for God there's nothing too hard for thee and we want to thank the Lord for that smile at somebody as you're being seated today I stood so amazed how in concert the preachers have been at this convention it seems like more than I I've ever seen before and I think God for that we need to take note of that today when 100-year-old Abraham heard his wife Sarah a youthful 90 years of age was going to give birth to a baby the Bible said this the Bible said that Abraham fell on his face and laughed you see his wife was getting ready to give birth to Revival but it seemed so outlandish and so imp possible that whether it was out of frustration or nervousness or unbelief he began to laugh at the thought of the promise I thought about our wonderful preacher last night brother Keys who brought and bore his soul and poured it out to us and I thought at the end of that service when he challenged and and the challenge was picked up if there's anybody here that can believe God to go home and in the next year see their
congregation double I couldn't help but think there were those that stood back in the far reaches of this Auditorium with some skepticism in their heart you see we apostolics we tend to do that come on and maybe with a little chuckle and laugh in their Spirit they thought how ridiculous and foolish it would be for those young men to walk up here and with enthusiasm and real faith and belief in their heart say we accept the word of God as it was given last night but I'm going to tell you you better be careful when you start laughing at the promise of God you better be careful when you start laughing at the thing that God's going to do the amazing thing was as Sarah would represent the church when she heard the news she laughed the Bible said she laughed at the promise of God and that's when God in the Book of Genesis Chapter 18 asked the question he says is anything too hard for the Lord is anything too hard for the Lord we heard the preacher last night as he began to tell us that there's nothing that God can't do I believe with all of my heart there are those that are sitting in this building you have walked here and you've watched Revival being birthed In This Very meeting from the time that our pastor stood here on Tuesday night and gave forth such an inspiring challenge to every one of us to what we've heard from then it's God wanting to do some things in our life and break through some old spirits and some old habits and lift us up to a place where we can be believe God that we can conquer the spirits in our city that we can have Revival in our homes that we can see God move in our church is there anything too hard with God if you can believe it God is already on record that it can be done oh Hallelujah he said there's nothing to hard for God I wish somehow that we could grasp the magnitude of this statement for with God there is nothing impossible we need to get up from laughing we need to walk away from our spirits of criticism we need to stop saying it can happen in Alexandria but it can't happen in my city and we need by faith say God if you're still God I'm going to take up what I've heard and because of the times and I'm going to shout with triumphant voice there is nothing to hard for my God somebody praise him right now somebody praise him right now it's not enough that it's happened in Ethiopia and Africa it's not enough that it's happened in the Philippines we need to be hungry in our hearts and say God until it happens in my city until it happens in my church until it happens in my home there's nothing too hard oh Hallelujah too often we take our doubts and fears and our uncertainties into consideration and I guess in another sh this is going to be my message in the next few minutes and with these fears and uncertainties and doubts we bind the very power of God right right it's not that God doesn't want to but he's got to have a willing servant he's got to have somebody that's going to let him now until Abraham gets up off the floor in embarrassing laughter and understand understands that God is serious about the impossible it's never going to happen and there are some things that God wants to impregnate the church with that we think ridiculous and we think unbelievable and we think impossible but until we get our emotion and put it aside and say God if you can say it then I've got to believe it and if I believe it you'll do it that's when we're going to see God in our homes in our cities do the things that we've been hearing about here today I said there's nothing somebody shout there's nothing too hard for the Hallelujah we know the story of Israel's wanderings how through the Wilderness they cried to the Lord as they wanted more and tired of the Angelic food and they said God give us meat flesh to eat and so God heard their cry it's amazing you better be careful what you ask God
for right and when God heard their cry God said I'm going to do this thing a't that simple I I suppose they were not expecting that answer and when they got that answer from God they began to think of the impossible request that they had made and they began to wonder in their own Hearts can God really do this thing yeah there are some of you walked out of here last night come on and you already began to wonder can my church double in the year of 2001 you didn't even get to the restaurant and the old enemy began to whisper in your ear and say Hey you haven't counted the cost I said last night when when we were challenged I said oh God help me if my church doubles next year now when I said that it was in this Gest God's going to have to help me if my church is going to double cuz I don't have the resource and don't have the answer but I'm foolish enough today in the mind of man to say God if you want itth then I'm going to believe it and I'm going to let it happen somebody needs to turn God Loos before you leave because of the times somebody needs to release the power of the almighty somebody needs to let God go and do the work that he wants to do yes Hallelujah and so he said I'm going to do this thing I'm not here to debate your theology on whether the manner the meat was better than the other the point is they asked for it God said okay you want something more I'll give it to you that's it you're not satisfied with what you've got you want more here it is problem wasn't with God but they began to count the cost they began to add it all up and Psalm 78 gives us a graphic understanding they said we recognize the things that God has done and this is a sad part about a gathering like this because there's none of us that are ignorant to the power and the glory and the Majesty of the Almighty we have witnessed his miracles oh brother hell he stirred our souls this morning when he talked about the miracle God did in his life we understand that God is not limited in the things he can do and that's where we are indicted today if we don't pick up the challenge in charge of the almighty and say god let's go with it Israel recorded that God LED them through the Red Sea on dry ground they admitted that God was a pillar of Fire by night and a cloud to cool them by day they went on record and say we remember when God gave us water in the part's Place when we were thirsty and all the wondrous works that he did and the manner that fell from heaven but verse 32 says for all this yes they sinned still how did they sin believed not for his wondrous Works he didn't stop there and foolishly they again said can God furnish a table in the wilderness but what you've got to understand understand is their unbelief and their questioning of the power of God came while they were walking in the midst of a miracle it came as they were traversing through a land that God sustained them and kept them and loved them I believe today that we are in that 11th Hour that we are at 11:59 and we've almost fallen on our face with doubt because we have watched things happen on the periphera and we've seen other other religious organizations Thrive and we're the people of the name and we're saying God where are you today but let me tell you that God is still right where he's always been and God is ready today to do a work for you if you'll get up from your disbelief and your nervous laughter and turn him loose brother Cunningham came to the church in Pontiac just two Sundays just two Sundays and in two Sundays this gentleman preached the gospel in such a simple way Jack I don't know how you do it but I get through all those elaborate sermons and illustrations and he just gets up there and talks about God and the Holy Ghost and in two Sundays 235 receed the baptism of the Holy Ghost
because he said my word h my word is not going to return void I'm telling you if it can happen there it can happen where you are quit counting the cost quit worrying about the price tag he owns the catalon of thousand and Hills the Earth is his foot tool your heavenly father is not going to run out of res when it comes to what you need there's more than you you need in his fault of s oh hallelujah hallelujah he said I'll tell you what I'm going to do Israel you want it I'm going to do it but he said I'm not just going to do it for a day and he said I'm I'm not just going to do it for two days and he went through 5 days and 10 days and 20 days he said I tell you what I'm going to do he said I'm going to feed you in the wilderness for a whole month in other words it doesn't matter what it looks like around you if I had time I would preach a little bit of the story of the little Widow of zapat when the prophet of God came and asked that she would make him a cake understanding that death and disease was and hurt was all around and when God blessed her for her sacrifice God returned to her the blessing now the C circumstance around her did not change there was still trouble and sorrow and death but her circumstance changed and because the oil did not cease H and the cruise was always there for her need I'm telling you we can't fix the ills of society we need to quit worrying about it we can't stop what's going on on the outside but I'll tell you what we can do we can hook up with the one that can do whatever it is that we need in our day somebody's circumstance can change he said I I'm I don't want you worryed about what goes on I'm going to take care of you in the wilderness so they began to look the situation over come on they began to look around them yeah and they said wait just a minute we have 600,000 men on the March that's a lot of men on they're in a Wilderness they're in a place they're an impossible situation they're in a Barren land how can God sustain 600,000 marching men not counting everybody else and so they calculated it up and here's what they said if we somebody say we we see that's the mistake now they got it right but they didn't understand if we butcher all our flocks and herds it won't be enough that's the whole idea that's it come on it I could stop now if you could get this some of you say go ahead that's the whole idea you can butcher all your flocks you can do everything you can do it's still not going to be enough they said why to do this we'd have to catch every fish in the ocean and then only might we see God's promise fulfilled some of you need to put your calculators away some of you need to put your calculators away some of you need to put your tally sheets behind you some about somebody needs to put your Ledger aside and say God there's nothing too hard for thee there's nothing too hard I'm not going to laugh at the promise of this book they said God God we can't do it come on God never expected them hear what I'm telling you it was never part of the deal God never expected when he contracted with Israel that they would do it that's when God went on record and he said is the Lord's hand waxed short come on what he was saying he said is this beyond my reach it might be be beyond your ability but he says is it Beyond mine I thought one of the old scriptures stood out to me is God's hand shortened I grew up thinking that scripture said is God's hand short but it doesn't it says is his hand shortened and another words what he was saying has God retracted his hand has he withdrew his invitation God's arm is always been long enough what he was saying is my power limited is there anything my hand can't do and that's what I'm simply asking today is
there anything that God can't do too often we make the mistake that Israel made in that we look at our lack of ability and we look at our lack of resources and our lack of talent and the impossible task that we feel challenged here at because of the times and we allow our inability ities and lack of faith to hinder what God is wanting to do and I'm just saying somebody feel the unction and receive the challenge and say God if you said it it's going to happen it's going to happen oh Hallelujah when Jesus met the woman at Jacob's Well he asked her for a drink do you understand she she almost missed her chance of a lifetime how many times have we come to the River of Life and walked away thirsty her response was the well is deep I have nothing to draw with her Focus like too many of us was not on the answer but on herself she somehow did not realize that she was about to miss for the rest of her life the answer that stood right there before her that wanted to supply all her need according to his riches in glory understand today she did not realize what was taking place and maybe that's where we are we just need to be shaken a little we need to wake up to who he is not who we are we know who we are but we need to know who he is Abra was the friend of God but he laughed and she stood Bound by her own limitations but the amazing thing she was in the presence of the one who knew no limitations please hear me today there's nothing too hard for God hallelujah hallelujah you see Jacob's Well was simply measuring God by circumstance now our world today is stayed and stagnant because our world cannot rise above its circumstance but not the church come on Sir come on not Jesus Children that's right amen not those that are sitting in this place we don't have to be bound by fear we don't have to be Shackled by uncertainty we don't have to let the limitations of another day in this world Rob us of the things that God wants to do in our life because this book that I preach from today is filled with Rich and radiant promises that we can continually go back to and there is power and victory and Revival on these Pages by by way of the spirit of the almighty God is waiting and God is wanting to do wonders in our lives if we'll let him right I said we need to let it let him but we've got to see beyond our shortcomings we've got to look beyond our circumstance we've got to extend beyond our limitations to what God Alone can and will do for us you see too many of us have already made up our minds and convinced ourselves that we're the exception we're the acception to the power of God we're the exception to the word of the Lord he might do it for somebody else but he's not going to do it for me you're right my Well's too deep there's nothing to draw from my City's too hard the people I pasture they don't want Revival even God can't overcome the limitations of my life we say and what we're doing is we're pointing to ourselves and not to him we're focusing on the one that can't feed and can't meet and can't do but we measure what God can do by the things that come to us through natural descent and ordinary circumstance but oh thank God we've heard it this week already if we'll trust him if we'll believe him God's getting ready to let something Loos in the 12h hour Revival that he's promised this Apostolic church and I want to be here I want what God has for my city brother keys I want to double in 2001 and I'll let God figure out the details I'll let God worry about how he's going to do it
I just want to trust him for it I just want to believe him for it oh Hallelujah there's nothing somebody say there's nothing there's nothing too hard for I need to I need to unloose him today I need to shout there's nothing too hard for God somebody say there's nothing too hard for God we can do anything if we stop looking at our situation we can do anything if we stop looking at our sickness we can do anything if we'll get up from laughing off of our faceh and say God if you set it let's go nothing come on let's praise him right now let's praise him right now some of you look at brother Jack Cunningham and the whole missions Division and you say it'll never happen I'm telling you not only will it happen it's going to happen this year in home missions we're going to see things we never imagined and dream we're going to see things that Generations before laughed at but it's not a laughing stock anymore because it's the promise of God and if God said it we're going to believe it somebody believe it for your city somebody believe it for your home somebody believe it for your church right now home missions is not the stepchild of the UPC your city is not too hard because God with him there's nothing impossible Hallelujah brother Stanford told us yesterday after 21 failures he walked into the city of Metro Boston and God Birth Church where they said there can never be a church Hallelujah some of my late Bishops dear comrades told him you'll never build a church in the city of Pontiac because it's a spiritual Dominion you're dealing with Spencer they said because the state hospital is there that's the insane asylum for the state of Michigan is it really okay okay then I'm going to tell you God is is God's got a sense of humor his Brethren said you'll never build a church there because there's too many demonic spirits do you think it's an accident that God's raised up a church like he has here in Alexandria folks if there's a spiritual domain God's going to come out the winter every time we need quit believing that junk we need to quit believing that junk you can have Revival if you ever understand there's nothing too hard for God brother Mangin not only did he build a great church there but just a few months ago the wrecking ball went through the state hospital and leveled it down to the ground I said God you're good I said God's want to do some Wrecking in your city he's going to bring down some dominions and powers and principalities you don't have to be afraid let them laugh at you but by faith you need to run on with the promise of this book somebody shout there's nothing there's nothing too hard praise the Lord Brother keys I found out that brother Huntley also robbed my notes so you and I better be careful I guarantee every Sunday night their church is hearing what you and I preach the Sunday before there's no greater support group there's no greater friends quit living in frustration quit living thinking it can't happen to you nobody cares about nobody likes you I got news for you you're the apple of God's eye you're somebody that's why the psalmist said when I began to survey and look at the Wonders that God created he said you're more important than the Grand Canyon you're more important than the agra falls you're more important than the universe of the celestial there's nothing in this world world that God loves more than he loves his church and
his children shout to him right now I said shout to him right now somebody let him go Joe got feeling sorry for himself when I attended attended the University I studied the Bible from a literature standpoint I found out things about the book I never knew I was raised Apostolic all I knew was what all of us know but see there's another perspective on this book that the world looks at I began to realize some of my heroes in the Bible had some faults and weaknesses as we heard this morning one of them being job one of my heroes I didn't know that I always thought job was the greatest guy ever was but he fought some battles he went through some of the same things that the enemy is trying to put on you right now come on he was trying to work it out himself when his three friends came and they stood there by him at those 10 Graves and said this is all your fault and if you'd be the man of God you're supposed to be this wouldn't have happened some of you have heard that he began to fight with them he felt sorry for himself then when he got through that he had a little pride that moved in his life he became a little boastful but all of a sudden there was a marvelous intervention from the Eternal God stepped into his life and he began to ask job a few questions he said job where were you when I laid the foundation of the Earth yeah he said job let me ask you where were you when I poured the Cornerstone of this whole world how about it job did you make the sun come up this morning did I miss something job were you there did you ever cause it to snow hey job maybe you're the one that brought hell to the hell upon the Earth and caus the rainstorm to sweep across the plane H did you ever send the lightning or feed the Raven he said job where were you and that's what I want to ask today h God can do it if we'll let him do it it's not my credentials it's not my my parchment of accomplishment it's God and if we'll let him where were you God's not finished job just wait just a minute job's starting to cow down now feeling a little bad God said these words to him just sort of punched him good knocked the wind out of him he said job just in case you forgot he said I everybody say I I he said I am the AL Almighty you're not the almighty oh chur if if anybody could just get that little truth today God he said I'm the all Mighty when job heard that the Bible said all the fight went out of job because he said I abore myself and when job met God on that day something happened in the life of Job and the Bible says in the last chapter in the 10th verse that we only use the last part of that verse but the first part's the real key not only did God restore twice as much but it only happened after job the Bible said prayed for his friends did God return the Captivity of job I'm here to tell you today that word friends does not mean that he was their friends it means that he looked at them as His Friends these men who ridiculed him and vilified him and talked about him and cut him down when he finally got to the place that he could pray God's blessing on them God blessed him and there's some of you today when you stop Tussing and fighting with everything and everybody and even yourself you're going to release and unloose the almighty's power and clo in your city and in your church and you're going to have twice as much as you have before somebody needs to let God Be The Almighty let him be let him be you're right we need to do some repenting around here repenting of old bad spirits somebody needs to believe him right now so somebody needs to believe him right now he said I've got the strength I'm the one with unlimited power I have everything you need with me there's nothing impossible and that brings us to
our text in Jeremiah chapter 32 when God gave hanah's field to Jeremiah you got to understand and I won't go into the whole story but Jeremiah thought this an impossible thing this is where God was going to set up his glory here in this world a type of the church in that day and there was no way it could happen because hanah's field was not for sale there was no sale sign up but somebody needs to lift up their eyes today somebody needs to look on the field today the promise of God staring you right in the eye if you'll just look over your your weaknesses and your inadequacies and your frustrations and let God spiritually show you what he's been trying to show you Jeremiah couldn't believe it when it came to pass and that's when he said ah Lord God being translated I suppose in Louisiana vernacular wow has God ever wowed you if you hadn't been wowed Lately by God something's wrong when you get up in the morning you ought to say wow yes and you come to a place like this you ought to say wow wow Jeremiah when he saw what God did that impossible thing he said wow behold thou Hast made the Heaven and the Earth by the great power and stretched out arm and there is nothing there is nothing too hard for thee look around you today as long as the handy work of God the almighty remains as a great witness there's nothing too hard for God that was the promise that God made to Abraham and the Seed of Abraham and Abraham said God what do you mean you're going to bless me in my seed to generation after generation he said God how am I going to know that this thing is going to happen and God said Abraham take me a hepher and take me a sheo and take me a ram and take me a pigeon and a turtle dove and divide the sacrifice one on each side and between them lay a type of the road of death and he said Abraham I'm going to come and visit you and I'm going to Covenant with you and I'm going to make a contract with you that's going to be forever more that's what God's want to do in your city and so Abraham sat there all day long until the darkness of night came and Abraham watched as a smoking furnace and the burning lamp began to pass between the sacrifice and behold the Shak of God appeared to Abraham the very token of the presence of God and this was a sign that what God was telling Abraham would never be broken and I want to tell you tonight if it's in the book The Promise of God can never be suspended one single day why because the priest had nothing to do with it and governments had nothing to do with it and organizations had nothing to do with it and because God could swear by no greater he swear by himself God put his name on the line I said God put his name on the line God has co-signed Revival in your life God has co-signed victory in your church God has put himself on record today and said if you want it there's nothing H too hard what this meant it meant the thunderings of the law and the penalties of broken Commandments could not stop could not hinder the promise of God you see the worth of this great Covenant lies in the fact it can never be broken and that's why the psalmist said in Psalm Division 1 21 he that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep that's why the wise man of old said God you keep Covenant there is no power there is no Dominion there is no principality that can remove the promise of God no one anything nothing I'm here to tell you if God spoke it to you get up from laughing and go on in Victory nothing to him brother the manang in Israel wasn't the easiest bunch to Pastor God loved Israel so much that Seed of Abraham you start looking at the record he gave them immunity from Egypt's plagues he saved the firstborn from what was taking place there in bondage right he parted the Red Sea and let them walk through on dry ground he gave them the law in sini he gave them the cloud and the fire he gave them Mana when they were hungry he gave them water as I mentioned from The Rock
he punished amalec and Moab and gave them safe Passage through the swollen Jordan and he raised the walls of Jericho as a part of his promise to his people and God stood back and threw forth his chest and his shoulders and he said they're my nation they're my people they're My Chosen they're my inheritance they're my glory they're my servant they're my son and he said I got news for you world I'm going to be their God I'm going to be their Reservoir I'm going to be their resource I'm going to give them whatever they need to make this gospel sure that it's propagated in this world until I come can somebody grab hold of that right now we're not talking about the intellect we're not talking about those that had we're talking about Nomads Wanderer from Egypt sons of Abraham ex-slaves if you will they were not just possessors of the remainder they were more than hirs to an after blessing of another generation oh brother Pew how you blessed us yesterday and thank you for it and never cease to remind us of our heritage but I got news for this day apostolics we've got to do more than live off the after blessing of a generation ago we've got to take the same Faith and take the same promise and we've got to live and we've got to believe it because God still is in charge and there's nothing brother Keys you get ready for that Revival you've been believing God for cuz it's fixing to happen because you're a man that's going to let God be God but it doesn't have to happen in Mesto only it can happen in your city somebody believe it right now somebody shout yes yes they were actual partakers hear me when God covenanted with Abraham he did with the Seed of Abraham they were actually partakers of the Covenant of God that's why the writer said if you're Christ then you're Abraham's seed and HS according to the promise you can start in Genesis all the way to the end if it's in there it belongs to you Jeff I wish I could this thing like you did but the question remained same question Abraham asked how shall I know now Israel's asking yeah that was good for Abra how about how about you and I asking that question how should I know how were they Israel to know that God would keep the Covenant he made with their father Abraham the previous chapter Jeremiah answers the question he tells us that this great faithful promiser didn't leave himself without a witness but God is not going to trust this great witnessing to frail uncertain faithless men come on Sir come we don't qualify for the witness stand God called that day that evening at unbribable unimpeachable incorruptable Witnesses Jeremiah calls out who they are the Sun the moon the stars the heavens the Earth the sea the day the night First Kings 8 tells us the heavens declare the handywork of God Jeremiah God can do the impossible Jeremiah God's already on record don't you get dismayed every time in other words Israel would cast an inquiring look into the heavens and if they could find the Sun or the moon they knew that the promise that God made to Abraham and the seed Abraham was still good it meant every time the sun rose in the morning to break the dawn of a new day that they could rest assured one more day that the promise of God God hadn't gone out of business it was still good every time they went down to the seaside and they saw the tide go out and come in twice a day it assured them as it shouted as the witness of the almighty that God had whatever he's promised you he's going to do God said for his promise to fail Jeremiah says this there would first have to be something that could interfere in this universe that's obedient to him in other words you got to find some way to stop the clock of God you've got to arrest the orderly succession of Night and Day you've got to put out the sun's fire you got to lasso the moon in its course you got to sweep clean the heavens at midnight or somebody's going to have to get on the wings of some new invention and go to the far reaches of God's
Great Universe and there they're going to have to count and measure the universe of God Dominion after dominion Universe after universe and Jeremiah said By God's word when somebody's done this then the promise of God will fail I got news for you here at because of the times it has never happened it won't happen it will not happened and the promise of God is sure somebody needs to believe there's nothing there's nothing that God can't do woo men can't stop it false religion can't stop it quit you threatening worrying about who moves in your city I had somebody stand in the middle aisle of my church look me in the eye and say if you don't let your Doctrine down and change what you're preaching half this church is going to walk out I did don't you be intimidated no I said don't you be intimidated because there's nothing that can hold back the promise of God is sure I said nothing's too hard for God in other words if God has given you a promise then it's not too hard for God to perform it I know what time it is I'm right on time stay with me he stepped a little farther to this church and he said I got news for you though Heaven and Earth pass away yes come on my word shall never pass away that's why when Balo took balum to those three strategic places and tried to view the situation from another angle it didn't change the word of God you can read this in the Greek the Hebrew the Spanish Bible upside down inside out any version and translation you want but you still got to repent of your sin you got to be baptized in the name of Jesus you've got to be filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost You' got to live a holy separated somebody don't you be afraid of this world and its gospel the great promiser he's on your side quit laughing at it I know they're standing and laughing at the church some that have left us but they're going to keep on laughing we're going to get up and we're going to praise him because there's nothing brother Mangan just a little more I'm still on my clock I know Ephesians 3 said now unto him somebody say unto him unto him not me not you unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us I got to look at at this it's quite unique and wonderful the exceeding abundantly comes from the Greek word whose preposition means it continues to flow out it keeps on flowing keeps on flowing it never stops flowing come on why why why why did he fill all those pots with water because God always has extra you can't bankrupt the promise of God you can't use up the grace of God do you hear what he said he said it keeps on flowing what God wants to do for somebody today there's no power in this world that can stop it if you'll let God work in your life can you say Amen in other words if God parted the Red Sea for Moses then then God's going to do a miracle for me today if God fed the the multitude in the wilderness then then God's going to spread a banquet table and set a place for me now if God open the prison doors for Apostle Peter then then God's going to set me free of the things that have want to hold me back and hinder and hamper God being released in my Ministry and life he's still a deliverer he's still a savior he's still a wonder he's still a Healer he's still God because he's God there's nothing woo there's nothing when the Rich Young Ruler asks how to
inherit eternal life he's a type of our day Jesus quoted a few of the Commandments and the young man said these have I done from my youth up then Jesus said it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven of God he asked Jesus then that's the case who who can be saved Jesus replied with God yeah Hallelujah all things are possible brother Mangan you stirred something in me telling the story of the gentleman that you prayed for a few days ago some of us have shied away from those in our community that we supposed would never want to hear this gospel but they're just as lost as that man sitting in the gutter they're just as unsaved as that individual that's on crack cocaine and their hearts and lives are just as broken in fact in many ways they're more miserable and if somehow this church can rise above the laughing and by faith say God there are people out there in every status of life I had a young man come to my church recently one of them was the number one drug dealer in the County that that I Pastor in another one was the number three drug dealer in the county that I Pastor in these are men that had means millions of dollars when one of them came to the Lord in the truck of his car was a quar million dollars in cash and another quarter million dollars on a sheet of paper that was owed him on the streets of the city when he found God and was filled with the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name he went to his darling wife and he gave her a kiss because he knew there was no getting out alive and he knew he'd never see her again but I'm here to tell you there's nothing impossible with God I'm telling you brother Cunningham he's a wonderful part of the church today because he was willing to trust the one who in his hands holds the impossible thing somebody let me tell you they're out there right now they're hurting and they're hungry and they're waiting for a church that's going to believe God and Rise Above his weakness and rise above its inabilities and rise above its F and failures and say God there's nothing too hard for thee shout it to it
