Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Courtesies Before the Word
- The announced watch-night preacher greets the church in the name of Jesus Christ and gives honor to the congregation's labor and to the pastor and his wife, whose vision has come forth.
- He greets his own church family watching by way of the internet, and his family with him in the house; at his request his daughter sings before he preaches.
New Season, Same God
- Standing, he reads the seventh and eighth verses of Hebrews 13: remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken the word of God, whose faith follow; Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
- His subject: 'New season, same God.' The season began when the cars left the old sanctuary and the ribbon was cut; everything is new — carpet, chairs, parking lot, school, daycare — but God is the same.
- The same God who healed down the road can heal in this new auditorium on the last day of 2015; over the brother whose cancer is in remission he declares a God who has no age.
Scriptures: Hebrews 13:7-8
What God Did for You, He Will Do for Another
- He recalls the nights people came to an altar bound by drugs and alcohol, marriages on the verge of divorce, and did not care what the walls or carpet looked like.
- They were led to a baptismal pool and baptized in the only name whereby we must be saved, then given a gift greater than the 25 acres and the new campus: the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
- What God did for you, he is wanting to do for somebody else in this place tonight; he has not changed, and he was here before we got here.
The Creator God of Both Testaments
- The opening verses of John chapter 1 are read: in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; all things were made by him.
- Colossians states that he is the image of the invisible God; Paul also portrays Jesus as the God who led Israel out of Egypt to the promised land.
- Moses refers to God as a rock in Deuteronomy chapter 32; Jesus used the same name he gave Moses at the burning bush: 'Before Abraham was, I am.'
- In Exodus chapter 3, Moses asks what name he shall give the Israelites; the answer: tell them the I AM sent you — the first and the last sent you.
- The same God who created Adam and Eve parted the Red Sea, brought water from a rock, touched the woman with the issue of blood, hung on the cross, rose the third day, and met the 120 in the upper room on the day of Pentecost.
Scriptures: John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15; Deuteronomy 32:4; Exodus 3:13-15
The Trendsetters and the Purpose
- The elders — the trendsetters — can worship God here, down the road, or in a tent with sawdust on the floor; his father's motto was that 99 and a half won't do.
- To the musician who thought of leaving he said: these folks were having church before you showed up, and they will be having church when you leave.
- His wife turned his frustration with Facebook into outreach: inviting a backslidden sister from his youth group week after week until she came, spoke in tongues, and was baptized in Jesus' name.
- Her mother, backslidden nearly 30 years in Arizona, watched the archived services for a year and a half, sold her house two days after putting up the sign, came home, and was restored at the altar: 'It's just the same as it was when I left it.'
Shout, for the Lord Has Given You the City
- God took him to Joshua: the shout is not about the building but about the purpose for which God gave it; churches get comfortable with crowds, parking, and talent and lose the focus God kept from the garden to the cross to Pentecost.
- The miracle ahead is not the building or the ten million, but the souls — addicts, broken marriages, people who have believed a lie — drawn to an altar by the same God who drew this congregation.
- On the 31st of December he was sent to tell them: don't forget the purpose; Joshua's word stands — shout, for the Lord has given you the city; God has given this church its city.
- The capture ends during the altar shout that answers the call; the sermon's closing moments are cut off by the end of the recording.

Jesus verse 7. Remember them which have the rule over you who have spoken unto you the word of God whose faith follow considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. I want to minister for a few moments tonight on this subject. New season, same God. New season, same God. Let's just clap our hands to the Lord and praise his mighty name. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. You may be seated. I know you're tired. I know you're weary. I know you're overwhelmed with emotion and excitement, exhausted, different things come to mind as this service has gone on this evening. But I want just to come as a voice, a voice to encourage you that there is a new season. And it and it began about 6:45 when we one car after another left the old sanctuary and we drove to this new beautiful property. From there, what a great word we received out on the sidewalks to then see pastor as he cut the ribbon and we all filed in to a wonderful, beautiful sanctuary. This is a new season. A new season that God has given every family that's a part of First Apostolic Church. A new season for the Sunday school department. A new season for the choir. A new season for every musician. A new season for the leoty. A new season for every saint of God. new carpet, new chairs, new parking lot, new doors, new school facility, new daycare facility. However, God wants me to remind you that with all of this that we have received tonight, that is so new, there is still the same God. That same God that we just read about that's the same today, yesterday, and forever. And I don't have time for a lot of notes tonight. So I'm just going to preach and let you know that the same God that healed on Mcinley Street and the same God that healed just a half a mile down the road is the same God that can heal somebody in this brand new auditorium on this last day of 2015. The name was mentioned of a brother over here whose cancer has been in remission. And through what I received from yet that was named uh by brother Ericson, I heard that he was not eating well, not doing very well tonight. But I want to declare tonight in this brand new building that there's a God that has no age. He is not new and he is not old. He's just God. There needs to be some hand clapping, foot stomping, owl running, owl walking, tongue talking, Holy Ghost infilling sanctuary saint of God that will stand up and say, "I'm not leaving until I let somebody know." We might have came in all dressed up. We might have walked into a new building, but that same God that touched me down the road is the same God that's in this house. God wants me to encourage you and challenge you that as sophisticated as we may have come and as beautiful as the gift that he has given us and as great as the vision as our pastor has that we need to be reminded that he is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Regardless of how good you think you look tonight, do you not forget the night that you came to an altar, you were bound by drugs and alcohol, your marriage was on the verge of divorce, you were your kids were spread out all across the country, but you asked God to forgive you because you heard a man preach about the forgiving power of God. You didn't matter what the walls were painted. You didn't care what the carpet looked like. You didn't care what people were driving. All you needed was what the man of God preached and you made your way to an altar. You lifted up your hands and you said, "Lord, would you please forgive me then to be led to a baptismal pool?" And the same man said, "You need to be baptized in the only name given among heaven whereby we must be saved." What is it, pastor? His name is Jesus. Then to be told that he would give you a great gift is greater than the 25 acres. is greater than the brand new campus. It's greater than the car you drove the church in. It's the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And what God did for you, God is wanting to do for somebody else in this place tonight. He's the same God, sister. He's the same God, brother. He's the same God, young people. He don't change. He don't change. We may have changed locations, but he was here before we got here. 2,000 years ago, he showed up on this property. Hallelujah. To the name of Jesus. New bushes ain't going to change my mind. New carpet ain't going to change my worship. New baptismal pool ain't going to change what I believe. He is the great I am. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit and seen of angels. If you love him right now, clap your hands. I dare you. And shout till you annoy your neighbor. Oh, praise the name of Jesus. Come on, shout to your annoy your neighbor. I wish they'd be quiet. I I just wish they'd hush for a minute. No, God's still worthy of everything I'm giving him. He's the same God. He's not sitting back tonight. He's the same God. Old Testament, you may be seated. Versus the New Testament concerning same God. The Apostle John writes that Jesus Christ is the creator God of the Old Testament. In St. John the first chapter and verses 1 through3 the Bible reads in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Verse number two the same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. Paul also claims that Jesus was our creator God. Colossians states it, he is the image of the invisible God. Paul portrays Jesus as that God that led Israel out of Egypt to the promised land. In first Corinthians, we find that he portrays that. Isaiah quotes God's statement that he is that rock. Then Moses also refers to God as a rock. In Deuteronomy 32:4, Jesus refers to himself before the Jews using the same name that he gave Moses at the burning bush. He said, "I tell you the truth." Jesus answered before Abraham was, "I am." Exodus 3:13-15, Moses said to to the Lord, suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, suppose I go and I talk with them and shall say unto them, the God of your fathers has sent me unto you and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? You tell them the I am sent you. The first and the last sent you. God wanted to dwell with humans on this earth. It's right here in the word of God. He wanted to dwell inside of us. And so he rode himself in flesh and he dwelt among us. So the same God that created Adam and Eve in the garden is the same God that parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel. He was the same God that let water come from a rock. The same God that let the pillow cloud by day lead him and the pillar of fire by night. He was the same God that showed up at Jerus's house. The same God that touched the woman with the issue of blood. The same God that prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. The same God that hung on the cross of Calvary. The same God that on the third day got up. The same God that met them 120 on the day of Pentecost in the upper room. The same God that touched your pastor years ago in a chapel service. The same God that got a hold of his wife at about the same time. The same God that touched you, brother. The same God that touched you, sister. The same God that put your marriage gap, brother and sister. The same God that delivered you from alcohol addiction. The same God that delivers you from pornography. He's still the same God tonight. And he's here to dwell. I'm sorry, but I just can't help myself. I almost wanted to address you tonight by saying Merry Christmas, buddy. This You talk about unwrapping something. You talking about cutting a bow off of something and walking into something like this and how great we should feel. And I know you do feel the mighty God is going to do great things because of this great building that you have built and dedicated to his glorious name. The chairs are not going to be enough in the next few months to house what God is going to do in this city. But understand when they come, it's not going to be just because of the building. When they come, it's not just going to be because of the wonderful voices in the choir. When they come and stay, it's not just going to be up because of all the talented music and the wonderful sermons that they hear by pastor. But what's going to keep them here is a drawing power that keeps you here. I I don't want to hurt nobody's feelings tonight. I'm really not going to try. I probably could if I tried. I got a reputation of doing it every once in a while back home anyhow. But I want to tell you something. There are some elders in this place tonight. There's a group and we call them the trendsetters. I want you to understand, I promise you that they can worship God whether it be here or whether it be back down the road. I promise you, they can worship God here or back down the road or if you put them in a tent somewhere with sawdust on the floor. Now, they'd rather be here, but don't you put them somewhere and tell them there can't be a move of God. Don't you put them somewhere and tell them you can't praise God under these conditions because they're going to look at you and say, "You lost your mind. He's the same God. The few short years my dad lived and pastor made mention of him tonight and I thank you for that pastor. But the few short lives that my dad lived one of his mottos was this. He say 99 and a half won't do. He would tell me if you're going to do anything at any time give it all you got. If you're going to worship God give it everything that you've got. and he'd always tell me, "Don't let anybody convince you that the show cannot continue to go on if they depart from it." A man just a few years later at the pastor in about eight years come to me. He was one of our musicians and he said to me these words, he said, "I'm thinking about not playing for a while. Matter of fact, I'm thinking about leaving the church." And I looked back at him and I was sad to see him go. But I looked at him and I said, "These folks were having church before you showed up and these folks will be having church when you leave." Elders that are all in this house tonight that would like to remind some young people, it's not just about a building. It is first and foremost about the great God. The great and the mighty God. The great and the awesome God. The great and the majestic God. Why do you see them giving God a wave offering? Because they know he's great. Why have you seen them walk around this building tonight? Because they know he's great. Why are they out here in the church at 10:15 at night when most of them are caught back with a cup of coffee? Because they realize God is great. And it doesn't matter where they're at. It don't matter if they're in a prayer room, in a beautiful sanctuary, or outside somewhere. The what they want you to know is he's the same God. He can heal that brother. He can feel that sister. He can heal that mama. Praise the name of Jesus. Same God. Look at somebody and say, "Same God." Same God. Look at somebody else and say, "Same God." Now, everybody do it. Look at somebody say, "Same God." Hope somebody say, "Wake up." He's fixing to get good. Same God. He has not changed. Somebody called me today and said, "I'm going to be praying for you as you preach tonight." And I said, "Well, thank you. I appreciate that." He said, "That is a massive building that they have built. What a great honor. I said it is a great honor to be asked to come and just be with them in this service. I said uh but it's it's it is a wonderful testimony to the apostolic faith. You all are a wonderful testimony to the apostolic faith that this that this building has been uh built and completed. I am so pumped that I believe I could go home and a few years down the road you all could come to Wilson and be in a building like this. I'm just that stupid to believe it can happen. It's a testimony to the apostolic faith. And what's more, a greater testimony is pastor and his family that it doesn't matter what building they're in. Pastor still preaching it. He still says the word apostolic and Jesus is God and one God and Jesus is his name in the same sentence. The choir still sings about the name of Jesus. Musicians still worship God. You know why? Because you all realize we may be in a new season, but we're serving the same almighty God. About two years ago, I was on Facebook and I got sick of reading everybody's problems and so I got off of it. Went to sit down beside Sister Garnish. She said, "What's wrong with you?" I said, "I'm just tired of it takes the fun out of preaching." I mean, if you read Facebook, everybody tells their sins and what they like and what they don't like and what they've done and what they are thinking about doing and who they hate and how many times they went to the restroom in the last month and everything. She said, "Well, use it for a outreach tool." And I said, "Well, how do you do that?" She said, "You inbox." I said, "What's inbox?" And she said, "You can go in, you have a conversation with a certain person, and it's just you and them and me. We'll all see it." And you I said, "Okay, show me how to do it." She showed me how to do it and I said, "I'm gonna start inviting people." She said, "Go ahead, do it." So, I started inviting folks to church and folks started coming. I got to one sister who had been bachelor for years, over 20 years. She was in my youth group when I was raised in the church. And we all got baptized on the same night, about 18 of us in Jesus name. And about five years later, I was the only one out of that youth group that was still living for God. And so, I inbox sister Mary Flowers and I invite her to church. And she told me the honest truth. She said, "I may come or I may not. Don't look for me." And so I looked at it as a challenge. And so I invite her again the next week. I invite her again the next week. And finally, after about a few months of inviting her, she shows up on a Sunday morning. The power of God begins to move. And the next thing I know, Sister Flowers is down at the altar. She's speaking in tongues. She's crying out to God. She's baptized in Jesus' name. Two and a half years later, she's still in the church. Matter of fact, her daughters are in the church and her sons have moved back home and one of them's in the church. Sister Flowers come to me and she said, "Whatever you do, don't quit archiving the services." I said, "Why?" She said, "Because I'm going to convince my mom to start going and watching the services." I said, "Where where where's your mom located?" Her mom was one of those ladies in in our church years ago. I mean, she was just rock solid. her and her husband rock solid in the house of God. But for different reasons over 25 to 30 years, she was backsliding. She was out in Arizona. We ended up waying out in Arizona, two and a half hours from the closest apostolic church. Wasn't going to church. Give up on the Lord for a period of time close to 30 years. I said, "No problem. Tell her to tune in." She tuned in and one week after another for about a year and a half, she'd tune in. Our church visit her in her living room and that's where she had church. She'd watch us and God would get deal with her heart. Sister Mary would always tell her, "You need to come home. You need to come home." And she said, "I just got to get things right. I've done so much wrong. I just got to get things right." She said, "Mama, you need to come home. Go to church." She was referring to going to church. Go to church in your area. Go to church. Go home, mama. Go home. It's right. You know Jesus coming soon. Go home. She watched the archive services. And finally around Thanksgiving, Sister Mary called me. She was all choked up. And she said, "I called mama today." And I said, "Mama, God told me to tell you that you need you need to come home. You need to go home and and find God again." She said, "On the other end, her mom said, "Mary, we're coming home." Said, "I told God if you'd help me sell my house, we'd come home." I put up a sale sign in the house. And two days later, my next door neighbor come over and bought it. Bought my house to give to one of his family members. She said, "You're going to get a U-Haul truck. You're going to drive to Arizona and you're going to bring us home." She got out of the truck. She went and got her house fixed up. One one week later, she was in service on Wednesday night. Here come a backslider of over 30 years, an elder. She run down to the altar. She was talking in tongues. She said, "I got to get baptized again and do it all over right." I said, "How do you feel?" She says, "It's just the same as it was when I left it close to 30 years ago." I'm telling somebody in this place tonight, what you've got is real. What you've got is divine. What you've got is awesome. What you got is what you need to hold on to with everything that you've got. Clap your hands at God and shout unto him with everything that you got. Come on. I know you're tired, but he saved God. He was the same God that touched the lame man. He's the same God open up and blinded eyes. Same God that did all those great miracles. The God of the Old Testament was the same God of the New. Got to praying last week. I said, "Lord, I just need I just I just need something. I just need something to to tell this wonderful body of people. And then he he he drew my attention to to Moses and Joshua. Moses was convinced by God to go in and be the voice to tell Pharaoh, "Let my people go." Pharaoh eventually let him go. Moses led him to a certain point and then Moses, God took Moses off the scene and Joshua put him in hisstead after a few years fought him as a matter of fact of wanting in the wilderness because of doubt and unbelief. It had come time for them now to possess the land. Joshua stands and he gives specific orders to the children of Israel in how they would possess it. There were no spies sent to look this time. For number one, the spies being sent was not the plan of God in the beginning. The plan of God was to possess him. And so Joshua told them, "This is how we're going to do it. We're going to march this many times this day. And on the last day, we're going to march around seven times. And at the end of the seventh time, priests are going to blow the trumpets. All this stuff's going to take place. He said, "When you hear them priests blowing the trumpets, I want you to shout." I have preached that scripture probably a dozen times in the last 20 years. And I get to the shout part and we just because of the city. So God took me to Joshua and I said I want he said I want you to tell the people in Marville that conclusion of what you've got to tell them I want them to shout but I don't want them to shout so much about the building. I'd rather them shout about the purpose of why I give them the building. See, a lot of churches get to the point you're at right here and it's done. We get comfortable with crowds. We get comfortable with parking. We get comfortable with talent. But we lose focus of what that same God had focus in the garden to the cross to the resurrection to the day of Pentecost till now. I am 42 years old. And I had to be redirected in purpose by my wife. Our church had got to a size in the building we're in where it's very comfortable every service. There's not many seats left till one day, Sister Garnet said, "Do you really think we're fulfilling God's purpose?" And I said, "I feel like we are. This building looks full on it." She said, "That's what I thought." And so she took us into a time of reaching children and helping them one after another. She redirected my purpose into realizing that thank God for buildings and thank God for crowds. But would what we really should be shouting about is why God has given us all of this. that same God that allowed Solomon to build that temple that was massive and beautiful. And Solomon prayed a prayer and then he concluded by telling who was welcome to come in and it covered everybody. Anybody was welcome to come in because it was a house of refuge. God has divinely orchestrated what we sit in tonight. This is not by accident. A10 million dollar project paid for in the end is not by accident. It is a gift from God to you and I for a purpose. A purpose that Mville, Tennessee needs more than anything else. They don't need a new football coach. They don't need another basketball coach. They don't need another sport arena. God said they need a church that will house hundreds to one day thousands of people in Mville, Tennessee. They don't need more orange. They don't need a reduced ticket price. They need a church that they can be introduced to. The same God that hung on the cross of Calvary is the same God that is reaching for them in Blunt County tonight. As I packed in a hurry and we left home late yesterday evening, I threw what little bit of belongings I had in the car. And about 45 miles into the trip, I said, "I believe I forgot my shirt." Garnet said, "You have to find you one." I walked through the mall today, Luke and I, and looking for a shirt. The first place I went to, they didn't have what I wanted. Second place I went to, they didn't have what I wanted. Finally, I went all over and I said, "Well, we just have to do the best I can do. Let's go back to the first place." But as I walked from one store to another, I could not help but smile from one store to another. When I walked through the mall, I could not help but there be a grin on my face as I knew where I was coming tonight. But I was so happy because I wanted just to shout out in the middle of the mall. You folks really don't know what's happening tonight. There's about to be a giant that's released in this community. There's about to be a spirit of the same God that's about to be released in this community. It's not going to be the mall in Marville that everybody wants to attend on the weekends. It's going to be that miracle on that property. What's What's the miracle? Wait, wait. You may say, "Wait, wait, what's the miracle?" Now, I'm not I'm not downsizing the miracle of the finances and the building. No, that is a miracle. But I'm talking about the future. Come Sunday morning, Sunday night when new converts walk out of this building and they go out in the places of business that this is the first place they've ever come to worship. They don't know what it looked like down the road. They don't know how much money you had to take up to come here. This is going to be their house of worship the first time they ever walked in. It's going to be this place. And the miracle is not going to be the 10 million. And the miracle is not going to be the building, but the miracle is going to be the God that they were introduced to. The miracle that that man leaves here that's high on heroin is going to be I tried everything in Blunt County. I tried everything in Knox County. I I lost my family. I lost my jobs when I went to a church on Sunday morning. And somebody introduced me to a God that has been here from the beginning of time. We can't complain anymore about there's not enough shouting room. We can't complain anymore that there's not enough running room. We can't complain anymore that that every seat is filled. No, God has given us something for a purpose. And now we ought to shout about it more than we've ever shouted about it before. Because what God has given us is not just the building. God has given us our city. our city. You may be seated. Miracle is going to change. The mayor of a miracle to you is going to be what you're sitting in for most of you for the rest of your life. But to others that walk in here starting tonight and right on through the next many years, the miracle is going to be that message they heard about the forgiving power of God. They're going to walk in here all messed up. Going to walk in here not looking like we think they ought to look. They're going to walk in here not having the vocabulary like we think they ought to have. They're going to walk in here and some ladies have been involved with this and some men have been involved with that and some teenagers have been involved with this or that. They're going to walk in here with messed up minds. They're going to walk in here addicts. They're going to walk in here marriages all turned upside down. They're going to walk in here just good old people that that that have been believing a lie all of their life that think the doctrine is the trinity when there is no word trinity even in the Bible. They're just going to walk in here from different avenues of life. But once the message is preached and once they see worship and praise at the pew, they're going to be drawn to an altar by the same God that drew you to an altar. Some of you looking at me like I've lost my mind, though. I'm going to tell you something, friend. The miracle is going to happen. God's going to fill the seat you're in with another miracle. And God's going to feed the seat fill the seat beside of you with another miracle. And before you know it, the building is not going to be the miracle anymore. It's going to be the influx of souls that God has filled the building with. That's going to be the miracle. I preach tonight under the uncction and the anointing of God as I make the next few statements. Those of you that are watching us live and will watch us later from pastor friends to congregations across North America and the saints of God from First Apostolic Church. If you're thinking that this building was built just to give a name to brother and sister Carpenter and their family, you have thought wrong for so long. For you know not their spirit and you know not what God has breathed and birthed inside of them. If you think that brother Carpenter needed a building to give him a name. He didn't because he has a name that's above every name. When he was baptized as a teenage boy, he don't need a building. He don't need a car. He don't need a home to give him a name. He has a name. So sit back in your relaxed state and sit in your dormant sanctuaries and look back and have jealousy rise up in your spirit as you see another brother who is celebrating in a church family as they celebrate life and as they celebrate liberty and the Holy Ghost and turn every once in a while because I know you are. and you watch the webcast and you just say, "Well, if they just let down that, anybody can have a church that size if they let down on holiness." Let the devil set you back. Let the devil put you back. But as for me in my house, I think I'll serve the Lord. And I think I'll follow the man of God in my life for this particular time. For it's not the name that our pastor is looking for. It's the souls of mankind that he has long if it's not the building he's shouting about when he comes marching across the front. It's the souls he's already imagining. Listen, if God give us $10 million to build the building, don't you think he can give us 10 million souls? See, I lost some of it. Ain't 10 million people in Blunt County, brother Garnet. Now there's a few thousand though and there's a few thousand in Wilson County and there's a few count few counties that's got a few more thousand and there's people around the world who tune in and and watch you and hear the messages and there's missionaries who's watching it right now and just saying oh hallelujah I feel I feel I can see the by the countenance of the people's faces oh I can just feel the electricity and what God's doing there God's able to do here I'm telling you friend I want you to understand tonight don't let spirit Whether it's in your congregation or outside of jealousy that says, "Well, if I do this, I could have that." No, I'm going to tell you what you do. You start reaching souls and God will give you exactly what you need to reach more. The reason God placed you where you're at tonight, FAC, was because he saw a building down the road that was slam packed. And then he sends Sean Garnett again. Do we have to hear him again? On the 31st of December, he sent me in here to tell you, don't you forget, don't you forget, don't you forget the purpose of why God has given you the building. He didn't give you the building just so you could have a parking spot. He didn't give us the building just so you could have elbow room. He didn't give us the building so there could be curbside service and park your car. He give us the building because there's going to be an old person staggering here on Sunday morning that says, "I just want to come see the building. I just I just want to come see what everybody's talking about." And while they looking at the building, they going to get still for a few minutes and there's going to be a pastor that says, "Hey guys, Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ is father of all, in all, above all, and through all." Matter of fact, Jesus can be a mother and Jesus can be a father. And that old staggering in girl that walks in here who had a mama that was fit for nothing, that wouldn't have razor. What's going to get her attention is that man just told me Jesus could help be my mama. I ain't never had a mama before. That man just told me it didn't matter where I'd been or what I'd done, God would forgive me. And the next thing you know, she's down here in the altar and she's crying and praying. And no, you're not sitting at your seat saying, "There's another one." No, you're up here around them saying, "This is it, God. This is it, God. This is it, God. This is what you want us to shout about. So Joshua told him, he said, "I want you to shout on the last time we march. When you hear the trumpets blow, musicians, come on, be ready to play. When you hear them blow, I want you to shout." Because Joshua, the 16th chapter, I told you it was going to take long. He said on the 16th chapter in the sixth verse, this is what Joshua told him. He said, "I want you to shout because the Lord has given you the city. I'm bad and older now and I need to catch my breath. I don't want to preach like some of them preachers preach every other pray." Don't you hate hearing somebody preach like that? I am Just stop, man. Catch your breath. Join a gym. Lose some weight before you preach again. Do something. Good gracious. Ridiculous. He says, "Shout." Look at somebody and say, "Shout." Say it real low now. Say, "Shout." All you camera operators, media technicians, all you folks, look at somebody and say, "Shout." Shout. Shout. Look at somebody else. Say, "Shout. Look, somebody ask them, "Do you know what shout means?" Everybody knows what shout means. Raise your right arm. How many ever been shouted out by your wife? How many ever shouted at your children? Huh? How many days ever got in the shower, no hot water? Who use all the hot water? You know, shout shout. I've never heard folks get in a get excited and just go, "I'm so excited. I'm sorry. I'm so excited." I've never seen anybody get heal of cancer and just go, "Oh my good." I've never seen a backsliden kid come back to God and parents just go, "That's wonderful." You see, this is too close to Christmas. I know some of you have shouted over stuff you got wrapped in a box. It differs as you get a little older. One of them things what they call them boards they stand on what they call what? Hover boards. Hoover boards. Throw your butt off boards. What I call it. That's what it is. Now live come riding one of them bad boys in the room today in the bedroom today at brother Eric's house. Said look at here. She I said, "Get off that thing. Let me have it." She said, "Dad, you going to hurt?" I said, "Get off." I said, "What do you do?" She said, "You put one foot here and you throw that foot right there." Be said, "You don't need to break a leg." I said, "Listen, hold on a second." I mean, if she can, she's 11. Then I got on that bed. Boom. Boy was over here and I was laying over here. Yeah. Some of you got that board. You just went scream, "Woo!" Got me a board. Some of you got cooking utensils, went screaming, carrying on. Some folks even get over a pair of socks still screaming. Some of you girls got engaged, got a ring. I hope you shouted about it. If you didn't, you don't need to marry the guy cuz the ring won't shout. You shout at birthday party. You ever seen somebody at a one-year-old birthday party? The only time they'd ever put their hands in the cake and mess up the whole kitchen. Everybody's screaming, grandparents, and then sometime we come to church and the pastor says, "Let's shout, worship, give everything we got." We're like, "Whoa, whoa." Some people can only shout for what they see right then and there. They can't shout or believe and have faith in what's going to happen. You see, when that ribbon was cut tonight and I begin to walk across the threshold, I thought, listen, the peak of this is not tonight and the peak of this will not be in the other phase in the main auditorium. But the peak for the pastor and his family and church congregation who really put and invested their lives in the disc was for a purpose. And the purpose was the city. The purpose we shout tonight is because we believe that every service from here on out until the Lord comes, there's going to be somebody repentant. There's going to be somebody baptized. There's going to be somebody get the Holy Ghost. Somebody's going to be healed. Somebody's going to be delivered. Somebody's going to be set free. Somebody's back problems going to be touched. Somebody's cancer is going to dry up. Somebody's kid's going to come back home. Some the reason we shout tonight is because God said, "Don't get your eyes on the green pasture and don't get your eyes on the beautiful carpet, but get your eyes on the purpose." And the purpose is some of your daddies need to come home. Some of you, some of your spouses need to get back it right. Some of your children are coming back in the year 2016. God said, "I want you to shout for the reason I give you all this. Look at somebody and say, "I'm fixing to shout." Now, ain't no sense to me asking you to shout. I did it when I was younger and didn't really give anybody something to shout about. So, I'm going to try to give you something to shout about. Anybody in here ever been healed? Raise your hands. Anybody in here that remembers the night God forgive you of your sins? Anybody in here tonight remember the night that you were baptized or the afternoon in Jesus wonderful name? Oh my God. I feel the Holy Ghost in this place. Ain't nothing going on in the bar. What what's about to happen in here right now? I'm check it out. Ready? Ain't no dancing going on in the bar, but what God's about to break strike out something in somebody. Anybody remember the night you spoke in tongues for the very first time and God filled you with the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Anybody in here remember that? Well, this is why we're shouting, "God, give us all this for us to remember all that to believe God's going to do it for so many more in the months and the days and the years to come." I refuse to let the adversary take my vision. I refuse to let the adversary take my joy. I refuse to let the adversary just get me in a box. I went I was walking brother Carpenter, brother Sister Carpenter going on two years ago. They came to Wilson and they dedicated our our property. God blessed us with close to 40 acres right across the street. We had a crossroads. We own we own we own about we own three of the corner lots at the crossroads. And uh he come he dedicated that we walked across the street. You drove to your place. We walked closer. We closer. We just walked. I was over there the other day. I just walked over there. No building, no water, no nothing. It's just land. Can't nobody steal nothing. It's just dirt. I said, I'm going across the street. B said, "Where you going?" I said, "I'm going to the land." She said, "What are you going to do?" I said, "I just going to go for a walk." So, I walked over on that land. I stood back and I looked at the church property. Now, we have just started walking on that land. I just started walking and I started praying on that land and I got happy over there. I started laughing and crying and folks were riding by. I knew they were looking at me like, "That man's lost." That's that preacher. He lost his mind. He lost his mind. He's so sad. He bought that property. He don't know what to do. He's so sad. But the more I pray, the more God said, these folks, these folks don't even have a clue what's fixing to happen in this city. These people ain't got, you know what, some of us before we leave here tonight need to walk around this church and just kind of smile a little bit and say, you know what, Blunt County ain't got a clue what just started out here. Blunt County ain't ain't got a clue what's about They They ain't even got a clue what's about to take place in this house. And they ain't got a clue what I can't help but smile. I can't help but be happy. It ain't cuz I'm going to eat in the next few minutes. I'm telling you, Blunt County ain't got a clue what's about to happen in this county. Oh yeah, we going to win state championships in basketball. No, no, no. That is what I'm talking about. I'm talking about spiritually. They ain't got a clue. We about to shut the bars down. We about to close up some businesses. The happening place is going to be FAC on Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night. They ain't got a clue. And God said, Joshua, when you hear the trumpets blow, I want you to tell the people to shout because I give them the city. FAC, God has given you the city. God has given you this city. God has given you this city. Come on, Wilson, shout. Come on, Wilson, shout. God, give you Wilson County. God, give us Wilson County. It's time to shout about it. Just shout about it. What are we shouting for, preacher? We're shouting for who's going to get the Holy Ghost tonight. We're shouting for who's going to get the Holy Ghost Sunday morning. We should be celebrating the building. No, we're celebrating the reason God give us the building. The reason God give us the building was because of soul. Go ahead and shout, trendsetters. Go ahead and shout, trendsetters. Come on, trendsetters. You feel the altar. You let these young people know it's happening. It's happening. It's happening. It's happening. Yes. Yes. Yes. My daddy's coming back. My mama's coming back. My sister's coming back. I'm going to win somebody this month. Shout with a voice of triumph. Shout with a voice of praise. Shout to God for the victory. Hey, give the Lord a shout of praise.
