- Some people talk themselves out of a blessing: they can talk pretty good to other people, but alone they don't know how to talk to themselves, and David knew how — when his soul was down he commanded it to put its hope in the Lord. A minister called him not long ago, on a low limb and talking pretty negative, and Barnes told him: talk to yourself a while before you talk to the Lord — tell the Lord you love him, and that he loves you and called you to preach and will stand by you, even when we can't see, feel, hear, smell or taste him. It is great to walk by faith. Years ago, very sick, with feeling seemingly gone, he had to walk by dry faith — just believe anyway, just pray anyway — and say "I'm going to get well" whether he felt like it or not. The best way to talk to yourself right is to take the Book, read it, and then say what it says about you: God built a church and turned it over to human beings and said, "occupy until I come" — he has faith in us, and we need to have faith in him. Standing, they read what Barnes calls some of the greatest faith in the miracles of Jesus: Mark the 10th chapter, from the 46th verse — blind Bartimaeus (the name stands in the captions as "barus," "bar tomato" and "Bartos") sat by the highway begging, heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, and began to cry out, "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me"; and though many charged him to hold his peace, he cried the more a great deal, until Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called, asked him what he wanted, and said, "Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole" — and immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way. "The cry that stopped the Lord." Barnes prays: add to our faith as we read this Book.
- Last night, he says, it was the true worship of the saints that caused Jesus to take the service over — he will always come down and walk among true worshippers, and last night he walked the aisles, filled people with the Holy Ghost, healed the sick and put families back together. A minister came to him a few days ago walking through one of the valleys everybody has to walk through; valleys are beautiful, with lovely flowers you don't find on the mountain peak, and his advice was just one thing: walk with Jesus very close. The Lord walked with Adam every day in the cool of the day, and one hour walking with him makes you forget all your troubles — you can stop dipping water out of the boat, because it isn't going to sink anyway; he'd rather be with Jesus in the storm than with the devil in the sunshine. Not long ago he dreamed he was martyred — shot right through the heart — and instantly he was standing there free, watching a raging storm hit the people and not touch him: "I'm in a different dimension; my enemy can't touch me, the storms don't touch me." We can have those hours right here.
- Here was an old beggar by the roadside: blindness, Barnes says, is about the worst thing that could happen to a human being — we're so rich just to be able to see, the sunshine, the flowers, the birds. Lift up your eyes; don't look down, look up. Bartimaeus sat and prayed and looked, and after a while Jesus walked by — he has appeared when Barnes least expected him: once, sick with the flu and leaning against a door feeling sorry for himself, Barnes said, "Jesus, you know if my old dad was living he'd already have been to see me," and something warm hit him and went through him and healed him completely. He is our Father, and if your father knows how to give good gifts to you, how much more the heavenly Father to them that ask him. Bartimaeus was praying right. His mother had the revelation gift: if one of the children really got hurt and let out a certain kind of cry, she left the wash board or the ironing board and ran — there is a certain cry of desperation and faith, and it'll always stop the Lord, and when we get him stopped he'll always ask us what we want; so tell him, be specific: if you need money, tell him it's money; if healing, tell him it's healing. Determined prayer keeps on praying — two hours of battling, then knocking at 2:00 in the morning, and after a while you enter another realm and the hours can go by soaring in prayer. The Lord doesn't answer heads-or-tails praying; just keep on knocking and believe while you knock. He never did pray for a real mountain to be removed — the Lord said whosoever shall say unto this mountain, "Be thou removed" — but preaching a camp meeting up in Oregon, not long before Mount St. Helens blew its top off, he did pray for that mountain while he was there. Some people's mountain is more apt to fall on them than to move, but this man was believing: there was no "if" about it; this was perhaps his last chance, his first time Jesus ever came this way, and he intended to stop him. The crowd that didn't need anything — they weren't blind, didn't have cancer, weren't hurting — tried to discourage him, but there's a time to stop listening to the doctor, the kin folks and the friends, and just keep praying louder and louder, releasing your faith. It was the cry of faith that stopped the Lord — he stopped, he still does; he is everywhere, and we need to stop Satan's invasion with prayer before it ever starts. The fellows who tried to stop Bartimaeus praying then had to call him to Jesus; he threw away his old garments. Einstein and Edison said they learned to subtract from their thoughts everything that would hinder them from their purpose — get rid of every doubt and fear and come to Jesus with one cry, one thought, one prayer, and he's going to stop and say, "What do you want?" He asked the blind man and the man said, "Lord, that I might see" — and the answer finally came. He staggered across the road still blind, having put everything he had into it; there's a lot we can do — remove doubts and fears, pray and read the Bible and go in faith — but only Jesus can remove our sins and heal our sickness. And then he followed Jesus in the way: people can get healed sometime and not follow the Lord, but if you're born again of the water and of the Spirit it makes a lot of difference — old things will pass away, and behold, all things will become new.
- The Lord is renewing our faith and vision in this camp this week; Barnes has never been in a service just like last night's, and expects great things today — the Healer came into the service last night and decided to stay, and miracles began to happen all over the place. They stand to thank him for yesterday and believe him for miracles today, and he prays: there's somebody listening to this tape that needs rest in the storm — let them rest, in Jesus' name — bless every speaker today and tonight, and lead us into a great spirit of worship. Then the call: come this way if you've got a prayer you want the Lord to answer — don't move unless you believe he's going to hear us. Whosoever shall say unto this mountain — say it, say it, say it; cry out, he's ready to hear your cry even now; tell him what you need: heal the sick, save those lost loved ones these people are praying about, send angels out there where they're at. Thank you, Lord; we worship you now, and love you forever, in Jesus' name — receive it from the loving heart of Jesus Christ, now. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord.

oh praise the Lord that's so true last night I touched on the thought that I really needed to preach a sermon on sometime learning how to talk to yourself right some people talk theirself out of a blessing they don't know how to talk to theel they they can talk pretty good to other people but when they get alone they don't know how to talk to theel and David knew how when he Soul was down he commanded it to put his hope in the Lord he said said I know you're down but said let's put our hope in the Lord and if we learn that we'll talk to ourselves talk Faith then we can talk to the Lord this thought came to me Minister called
me not too long ago maybe sitting here today I don't know but he he said I'm on a low limb and he was talking pretty negative and I said you need to talk to yourself a while before you talk to the Lord I said get it all straightened up tell the Lord you love him and tell him you know he loves you and he called you to preach and he's going to stand by you and even sometime when we can't see feel hear smell or taste he's there praise the Lord you know it's great to walk by faith I remember once when I was very sick years ago I couldn't feel nothing it just feeling was seemingly gone I had to walk by the old saying his dry Faith just believe anyway whether I feel like it just pray anyway and whether I felt like I was ever going to get well I said it anyway I'm going to get well so we have to learn that learn to talk to yourself get yourself up and the best way to do it is to take the book here read it and then say what it says about you you know he said a lot of things about us and God's put a lot of faith in us he built a church and he really turned it over to human beings and left and said occupy until I come so he he he has faith in us and we need to have faith in him this morning if you'd like to stand we'll read I find some of the greatest Faith in the miracles of Jesus in Mark the 10th chapter the 46th verse and they came to Jericho and he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people blind barus the son of tus Sat by the highway s beging and when he heard that was that was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out and say Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me and many charged him that he should hold his peace but he cried the more a great deal then thou son of David have mercy on me and Jesus Stood Still and commanded him to be called and they called the blind man saying unto him be of good Comfort rise he calleth for thee and he casting away his garments His Garment Rose and came to Jesus and Jesus answered and said unto him What wilt thou that I do unto thee the blind man said unto him Lord that I might receive my sight and Jesus said unto him go thy way thy faith hath made thee whole and immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way the cry that stopped the Lord can we pray our father thank you for the faith once delivered into the Saints we can't live without it we don't want to live without it add to our faith as we read this book give us the strength We need oh Lord bless this congregation today and bless the services today walk with us again Lord don't ever leave us alone praise the Lord praise the Lord praise the Lord thank the Lord thank the Lord praise the Lord praise the Lord thank you thank you Lord thank you Lord praise the Lord I hope you noticed last night what caused Jesus to take the service over it was the worship true worship of the Saints he will always come down and walk among true
worshippers praise the Lord praise the Lord hallelujah hallelujah it's all right to worship In the Flesh because we live in it but we need to worship until we get out of it in the spirit and we was in the spirit last night and Jesus begin to walk the aisles and fill people the Holy Ghost heal the sick put families back together praise the Lord praise the Lord God bless you you can be seated a minister came a few days ago spent quite a time with me he was walking through one of The Valleys that everybody has to walk through sometime valleys are very beautiful if you notice that there's a lot of lovely flowers and a lot of things in the valley you don't find on the mountain peak and my advice to him was just one thing Walk With Jesus very close set everything aside and just walk with Jesus there's something about that that will change you I love that old song oh let me walk with you Jesus don't ever leave me alone just let me walk hand in hand with you the Lord must love to walk with us because he came down every day and walked with Adam in the cool of the day and I I know one thing I love to walk with him if I could ever get in the spirit just right and walk with him my troubles just fly away praise the Lord praise the Lord I was telling someone last night again about sleeping resting in the storm there's always going to be storms on this Earth You just DW to make up your mind there's going to be storms that they're going to come and they're going to go and we have to learn how to rest in the storm have this things will pile upon you and there's no rest day or night but we have to just say now I'm going to leave this year and this year and I'm going to walk with Jesus and rest in the storm just one hour walking with him you forget all of your troubles all of your fears amen you can stop dipping water out of the boat it's not going to sink anyhow because he's walking with us so when the worst comes to the worst and it looked like black looks like the sun won't ever shine again just say oh let me walk with you Jesus and it won't be long the storm clouds will go after all I'd rather be with Jesus in the storm than to be with the devil in the sunshine praise God praise the Lord Praise praise the Lord I'm talking to somebody that needs that rest that Holy Ghost rest just to get along and Say Goodbye World for a while I live here going to stay here till die but every once in a while I like to leave it I had a dream not long ago I was martyred these fellas took me out and just shot me right through the heart and instantly I was standing there looking at him I really wasn't dead and I thought now I'm free they can't hurt me anymore and I saw a great storm coming oh it was a raging storm and it was hitting the people but it didn't touch me I said man I'm in a different Dimension my enemy can't touch me the
storms don't touch me amen amen and I felt so good it didn't even cost my mind want to come back well we're going there someday but I tell you what we can have those hours every once in a while right here peace peace here was an old beggar sitting by the roadside I guess the worst thing it could ever happen to human being is to be blind I know it would me I love to see don't you I love the sunshine I love to get up early and watch it come up in the morning I love to watch it set in the afternoon I love to look at the flowers the birds the doves and all the beautiful things we're so rich we have we're so rich just to be able to see praise the Lord praise the Lord praise the Lord hallelujah oh lift up your eyes learn to use your eyes right don't look down look up praise the Lord blind bar tomato has heard a crowd and perhaps somebody said it's Jesus of Nazareth coming this way I don't know about you but I've always found that if I just sit pray and look after a while after a while he'll walk by and he has appeared on the scene when I least expected him I felt he was a million miles away and suddenly there he was praise the Lord praise the Lord praise the Lord I've told this before I had the flu and I was so very sick a few years ago and I was leaning up against the door I S her feeling sorry for myself and I was talking to Jesus and I said Jesus I said you know if my old dad was living he'd already have been to see me when I said that something warm hit me and went through me and healed me completely praise the Lord praise the Lord he is our father and if your father knows how to give good gifts unto you how much more will the heavenly father give good things to them that ask he cried saying Lord he was praying right we need to pray right sometimes we don't get an answer to our prayers because we don't pray right we need to always see him setting high and lifted up on his throne praise the Lord with his hands out this way praise the Lord and those stripes on his back and scars in his hands the only thing he took from this Earth to heaven and and when we pray for healing he remembers the stripes the scar is still on his back when we pray for salvation all he has to do is to look there's the scars in his precious hand and now this man is crying you know there's something about the Cry of Faith that's different from just crying The Cry of faith my mom was a she had the had the Revelation gift I guess if us kids cried he paid no attention to us a lot of times just kids crying but I noticed if one really got hurt and let out a certain kind of cry she left the rub board the arning board or whatever she is doing and she run to that young there was a certain cry there's a certain sound that she he knew it and and that child is hurt and she went there's a certain Cry of desperation Faith it'll always stop the Lord and when we get him stopped he'll always ask us what do you want he makes us you know don't say well Lord you know if he ask you what you want tell him be pacific about it 1 2 3 this is what I want today Lord amen amen
if you need money tell him it's money if you need healing tell him it's healing praise the Lord if you need a lift tell him praise the Lord he was determined to be heard determined prayer people that prays on and on and on and on and on have you ever just kept on praying the first two hours you just prayed and you battled and you fought and and after a while you know it's 2:00 in the morning and and you're still just praying and you're still knocking and after a while all of a sudden you enter into another realm and then you seem to just fly away praise and the hours can go and go and sometime eight hours pass by and you're just soaring away in prayer praise God get out there where it's at keep praying I mean told stop do you really want what you're asking for or is you Gambler just flip a nickel up and you know heads or tails the Lord don't answer like that just keep on keeping on he said just keep on knocking just keep on knocking and believe while you knock I never did pray for a real mountain to be removed the Lord said whosoever shall say under this mountain be thou removed I preached a count meeting and up in Oregon right not too long after that St Mount Helen blew the top off and the dust is still falling and I did pray for that mountain that he wouldn't do that again while I was there praise the Lord some people when they look at the mountain when they get through talking to it it's more after to fall on them than it is to move away and do you really believe when you come to the Lord now this man was believing there was no if n about it he knew what he wanted and he was desperate he intended to have it and he got it praise the Lord this was perhaps his last chance because the Lord soon to be gone on back to glory and he said I've been sitting here a long time and this is the first time he's ever came this way so I'm going to stop him well the crowd that didn't need anything was trying to stop him you know they they wouldn't blind they didn't have cancer they didn't have TV they wouldn't hurting and they tried to discourage him you know that crowd out there will do that but he didn't paying attention to him there times you know you got to stop listen to what the doctor said and what the kin folks said and what your friends say and just keep on praying and getting louder and louder and louder and louder praise the Lord praise the Lord now it's not that the Lord's heart here but sometimes to break through we need to get louder and louder and louder amen and continue to release our faith and release our our faith and release our faith praise the lord well anyway it was the Cry of faith that stopped the Lord he stopped he still does he's everywhere that's a wonderful thing I like about him he's everywhere the devil isn't he has to go and so so the Lord took his keys and took his power and and he he's walking and it takes a pretty good while you know to get around and I said the first day we need to stop Satan's Invasion with prayer if a country ever gets invaded it's rough if they can stop The Invasion from ever starting it's a lot better that's why we need to pray in our churches that Satan can't invade it amen amen Stop The Invasion praise the Lord praise the Lord so he commanded him to be called the fellas that stopped him tried to stop him from praying now they having to call him to come to Jesus and he came and he threw away his old garments I tell you what a lot of us need to when we come into Jesus to throw away our
doubts our fears you know Einstein and Edison was asked the secret on how they could get to where they going and do the great things they were doing in the way of inventing and they said we have learned how to to subtract from our thoughts thoughts that would hinder us us from our purp keep us from our purpose in other words they got rid of all the thoughts all the fears and everything but one thought amen amen when you get it eliminate everything and you come to Jesus with one cry one thought one prayer amen you're going to break right on through to where he's that and he's going to stop and say what do you need what do you want praise the Lord Praise the Lord he never fails praise the Lord and he asked him what he wanted and he said Lord that I might see that I might see then the answer came is that a great day when the answer finally comes you know it's a promise you know he'll do it and you're trying to get rid of a lot of things so you can get to him blind Bartos got rid of his rags and he was still blind when he got up and was walking towards Jesus he got up although he was blind and he staggered across that road to Jesus he put everything in that he had and what he couldn't do was to heal himself there's a lot of things we can do but we can't remove our sins we have to go to the Lord for that we can get rid of our doubts we can get rid of our fears we can pray and blast them out and read the Bible and and go in faith but only Jesus can remove our sins and heal our sickness and diseases praise the Lord wouldn't you like to see just a little bit better amen to have your eyes open in these last days and to see the hand of the Lord directed you know wouldn't that be great Lord what do you want me to do and to see him pointing you know what do you want me to do Lord amen I like this and and then he followed Jesus in the way his heart was right all the way through people can get healed sometime and not follow the Lord but if you're born again of the water and of the spirit it makes a lot of difference old things will pass away and behold all things will become new the Lord is renewing our faith our vision in this camp this week I have never been in the service just like last night and I hope it happens again next year and goes beyond anything we've ever seen heard praise God and I'm expecting great things today the Healer came into the service last night and healed somebody and he decided to stay and then Miracles begin to happen all over the place praise the Lord Praise the Lord hallelujah hallelujah I think we ought to stand and thank him for what he did yesterday and then believe him for miracles today Father we come to you this morning asking Lord that you stretch forth your hand there's somebody listening to this tape that needs rest in the storm let them rest in Jesus name teach them how oh Lord bless every speaker today and tonight bless ever song lead us today and theight into a great spirit of worship oh to lift up your name oh to praise and to honor you is the great desire of our heart Lift Us Lord help us Lord in Jesus name in Jesus name in Jesus
name hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise the Lord now would you come this way if you got a prayer you want the Lord to answer and believe he's going to do it don't move unless you believe he's going to hear us amen amen just come right down the front stand whatever it is amen whosoever shall say under this mountain say it say it say it cry out he's ready to hear you cry even now praise the Lord praise the Lord cry out now what is it you need tell him tell him tell him Jesus here we stand we need help we need something from you heal the sick save those lost loved ones that these people are praying about now send Angels out there where they're at to talk to them today oh Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord we worship you now and love you forever in Jesus name receive it from The Loving Heart of Jesus Christ now amen amen praise the Lord
