Rich Man Mentality | Taylor Fish

Luke chapter number 16 starting with verse number 19 I'm so very honored to be here tonight give honor to Bishop Carpenter what an incredible Church what Incredible family this is like one of those legendary churches you know no the happiest place on Earth is what y'all call it right yes sir my little girl is she's five Abigail she sent me on an appointment to meet one of these little girls that sang one of those songs I don't know where she's at but I got to shake your hand and get your autograph Hallelujah but uh so honored to be be here glad that my boy Ezra is with me I regret that my whole family could not be with us we had planned to uh but we had broke out a in a Revival in Tomball Texas and uh really seeing God do some great things um seven or eight new Bible study teachers being raised up there in that local assembly and uh just incredible things happening but I'm so honored that to be here and thankful for the invitation I know this is a big week for the Youth and I'm excited to be here with you I give honor uh to the Ericson and the Hammond and all these great looking singing people Allelujah the Bible says in Luke chapter number 16 verse number 19 now let let let me say this here tonight I know many of you don't know me and I don't know you but I've not come to preach a get to know me message tonight I really feel like just in that last session that God just put a stamp of approval already on this weekend I'm not here to prove anything but I'm here to pour out all I got and I believe that if we'll open up our hearts God will do something in this place here tonight the Bible says in Luke 16- 19 there was a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day there was a certain beggar named Lazarus which was laid at his gate full of sores and Desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table moreover the dogs came and licked his swords and it came to pass that the beggar died and he was carried by the Angels into Abraham's bosom the rich man also died and was buried and in Hell somebody say hell and in hell he lift up his eyes being in torments and seeth Abraham a far off and Lazarus and his bosom and he cried and said Father Abraham have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water cool my tongue for I am tormented in this flame but Abraham said son remember that thou in thy lifetime receiveth thy good things and likewise Lazareth e evil things now he is comforted and thou art tormented and besides all this between us and you there's a great golf fix so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot neither can they pass to us that would come from from th then he said I pray thee therefore father that thou wouldest send him to my father's house for I have five Brethren that he may testify unto them lest they also come un this place of Torment Abraham saith unto him they have Moses and the prophets let them hear them and he said nay Father Abraham but if one went unto them from the dead they will repent and he said unto him if they hear not Moses and the prophets man one of the saddest statements in the Bible neither will they be persuaded neither will they be pers though one rose from the dead my subject for you tonight is this rich man mentality rich man mentality we just sto up your hands right now and I invite God to do something in your heart today God I thank you Lord for this opportunity I pray that you would help me to help somebody in this place let there be a burden that would hit this house tonight oh come on somebody cry and pray on the Holy Ghost right now God I need you T clap your hands to the Lord as you're seated everybody will'll be happy we'll be happy over there we will shout and sing God's praise everybody will be happy over there in that land called Heaven everybody truly will be happy but in that place called hell there will not be one happy person found I very recently read a story of a lady who had trained her pet parrot to say good night and good morning morning each evening she would place a blanket over the parrot's cage and say good night Polly and the parrot would respond good night in the morning as she lifted the blanket off the cage she would say good morning Polly and the parrot would say good morning this went on day after day good morning and good morning good night and good night this went on until one day ply escaped from his cage and before this was known Polly got in a fight with the family house cat that night the lady covered the cage and said good night Polly and he immediately responded with his usual good night however the next morning she lifted the blanket from the cage and said good morning but the parrot replied good night shocked at his mistake she replied to the parot again good morning Polly only to hear him say good night a second time her closer examination of the parrot revealed that Pie's eyes had been completely scratched out the day before in his fight with the house capat Polly was now blind Polly couldn't no longer see daylight and from that point on all the parrot would ever know was good night I want to preach tonight that hell is a Eternal good night that's right to every person whoever goes there in Hell there are no more good mornings but hell is a Long Dark Night That Never Ends throughout God's word hell is explained as a place of Darkness second Peter 2 and4 speaks of those being delivered into chains of Darkness Jude 1 and 13 calls hell the Blackness of Darkness forever Matthew 8 and and 12 calls hell outer Darkness hell is a place of absolute total complete darkness first John 1:5 tells us that God is light we know that darkness is only the absence of light so if that be so hell is the absence of God and when somebody finds themselves in hell they experience Eternal separation from Jesus Christ uh Once In Hell there is never another song Service uh Once In Hell there is never another altar call Once In Hell there is never another wave of Glory there is never another drawing there is never another Goosebump uh and there is never another chance uh all joy is gone uh all sunrises are gone never again is there a good morning in that land of Anguish and despair uh what a terrible thing uh it is to go to hell and what a terrible thing it is uh to let someone else go there I wish at the beginning of this message uh that somebody would lift up your hands today uh and begin to pray uh because there is a burden uh that is going to set down on us uh in this house tonight if we will allowing it there is a burden that's going to sit down in this place oh God we cannot afford to not be moved in this place Luke 16 and 19 there was a certain rich man which was his disciples uh and the other multitudes uh we know that a parable is a fictional story used uh to teach a lesson uh but we must understand that the story of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus uh was not a parable at all right this can be determined by the simple fact that Jesus called the beggar Lazarus by name Jesus doesn't just call the rich man the rich man but he is called a certain uh rich man uh it was C he was certain uh and it was certain that it happened uh in all of Jesus Parables he mentions no names at all but this was a very true story la was a real beggar that died and went to a real heaven and the rich man here is a real man uh who was rich died and went to a real hell there are some facts that we can gather about hell from this chapter and I feel so prompted by the Holy Ghost uh to preach this to this church tonight it's in verse 24 that tells us uh and he cried and said Father Abraham have mercy on me Merc yeah right and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue for I am tormented in this flame hear me the rich man's cry was a cry for Mercy yes but hell is a place of No Mercy every person that ends up in hell will be crying for Mercy but hell will have mercy for no man verse 2 5 says but Abraham said Son remember that thou in thy lifetime reest thy good things and likewise Lazarus evil things but now he is comforted and thou art tormented uh Abraham said Son remember remember remember remember hear me hell is a place of No Mercy but all memory all right wow man memory will never be sharper than when in that place called hell there will be no distractions in hell right in hell man will be completely and totally condescend of why he is there what he has done to get there every chance that he has missed to get out of there like the rich man every person that ends up in hell will remember every opportunity that they had to get it right every person that ends up in hell oh perhaps perhaps it's one of the greatest torments uh in hell it will be that clear crisp memory uh of missed opportunities of every time the preacher pulled of every time Bishop Carpenter got up and pulled for the lost soul no doubt there are people in hell here tonight that have worshiped around these altars uh that had sat in these pews and did not give it all on a on a midweek Service uh I want to preach that hell will be a place of endless memories but zero mercies Abraham did then tells the rich man in the same verse Thou Art tormented oh the damning words that the rich man heard that day hell is real and so is this rich man's torment still to this day but is in verse 26 that I feel to preach here today Abraham tells the rich man and besides all this between us and you there's a great Gulf fixed so that they would they which would pass from hence to you cannot neither can they has to us that would come from th in June of 1962 a man named John angland his brother and one other man escaped from that prison called alcatra that prison called alcatra there in the San Francisco Bay it was deemed a Escape prooof for multiple reasons Not only was it considered one of the meanest and highest security prisons in in in the world but it also be it was also surrounded surrounded by that that cold rough the cold Rough Waters of the San Francisco Bay and after their after their escape uh these men were never found and were believed to have drowned or been eaten by sharks they look far and wide for John angland and his crew it was in two it was in 2013 that John angland sent in a letter to San Francisco police saying yes we made it but barely no one could have believed that they made it out alive he had outlived all of those that had imprisoned him and 51 years later he proved that he had made what was believed to be an impossible Escape but even so no one will make it out of hell right I've got to preach this to somebody here tonight there will be no tunneling Out of Hell there will be no sneaking out Out of Hell there will be no going over the walls of hell why because there is a great golf somebody say a great golf it is common sense that everyone that knew somebody who went to hell would like to somehow pull them out of that tormenting Place uh it's also Common Sense uh that everybody that ends up in hell will want to leave uh but Abraham said rich man there is a line cannot be passed the Great Gulf marks the finality of Eternity if possible to pass it would take every angel in heaven to attempt to secure the Border if it was possible to pass from Hell To Heaven every angel in heaven would have to be on guard but the Great Gulf is eternity impassible line when someone goes to hell they go to hell forever we need to hear the words of the rich man in verse number 27 then he said I pray thee therefore father that thou would is send him to my father's house for I have five bre Brethren that he may testify unto them uh lest they also come into this place of Torment hear my message tonight uh the rich man never felt a burden for the lost until he was lost the rich man never felt a burden to reach for a soul until he was in an unreachable place the rich man saw Lazarus a thousand times and gave him no bread oh how oh how self-centered that the rich man was uh the rich man had a me first mentality uh but more than that the rich man had a me only mentality the rich man never thought to knock a door the rich man never knocked a door in his whole life everybody always his servants open the doors unto him uh the rich man never thought to knock a door until he was in Hell's inescapable prison uh the rich man never thought to win his soul until he was trapped in hell and he realized that his brothers were on their way he wasn't a mission-minded man until he woke up in hell and when he woke up in Hell there was nothing there was nothing that could hold him back outside of eternities and P ible line the rich man never shed a tear for anyone until his tears evaporated from Eternal fire he wasn't concerned about somebody else having Revival until he realized that he couldn't have a Revival himself in the rich man's life he had everything but a burden God have mercy God's come to reach into this place here tonight in the rich man's life he had everything uh but a burden for someone else he had all the money you could ask for he had the finest of things uh but when it came to What mattered the most uh he did not have it uh until he woke up in hell I want to lift up our hands before this night is over God wants a burden to get a hold of every single one of us tonight before this night's over God is wanting there to be an impartation there's oh God I pray tonight that you would move us uh that you would Shake us oh if there was some way tonight God that we could get our eyes off of ourself God I went to school with a young man who lives in a neighboring city of ours he was working in a chemical plant in in Texas one day while he and his crew were out working there was an explosion that sparked a chemical fire this fire injured 10 and killed two of his crew members 80% of his body was burnt I remember when Cindy and I we we got the call this is a classmate of mine I remember when Cindy and I we got the call and we went to Galveston Burn Unit and I'm telling you this this this young man he was always he he was always a bulky young man very strong just a country boy but I remember Pastor Carpenter we walked in there we walked into that that burn unit and the presence of the Lord was there oh God it was a miracle that he lived but he he begin to tell me the story as I sat there by his bedside I'm telling you it burned him so it had burned him so bad he was nothing Skin and Bones completely and totally unrecognizable he told me that he was hanging from a safety harness when this explosion happened and at that moment he was caught on fire he told me that he could remember uh he he told me that he could not remember how long that he hung there on fire but as his body was burning he begged all of his men are laid out from the explosion nobody in sight no help in sight they're in a part of this plant where nobody else is people are unconscious people are dead and he's sitting there on fire hanging from a fire retardant safety harness and he says as he's hanging there all he can scream is help somebody help me is there anybody that can hear me please somebody help me please anybody is there any body that can help me he remained hanging in the air on fire until the fire burned through the safety harness and dropped him on the ground let me tell you tonight I've never met anybody that's went to hell but I have met a man that's been on fire as long as he could remember and I want to tell you this man after this accident his skin was so melted and unrecognizable he had experienced the fire for just a short time uh but I'm preaching about a place uh where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched uh and if there was somehow we could get a 10c sound bite of how people are crying in Hell tonight come on there would be something in us and we cancel some plans for the weekend h have mercy we would cancel some plans for the weekend uh and we would make up our mind uh I'm not going to quit until I can find the soul I'm not going to quit until I get a hold of somebody I've got to preach to somebody in this house tonight we can be so caught up in so many other things but I've come to preach I know things are screaming for your attention I know distractions are screaming at you tonight but what would happen if we could hear the screams of Hell Jes my prayer tonight is it somehow you could see eternities imp passible line before you cross it yourself and it will help you get a burden for five people that are closest to you that are on their way to hell as I preach this message right now Mercy stops at eternity's impassable line the anointing that destroys the Yoke of bondage stops at hell's impassible line evangelism stops at the gulf but the fire never does God rent us of rich man mentality where we can't see anybody but ourselves because eternity is real and Eternity is long I've come to preach tonight that there is a rich man mentality in the Apostolic Church Revelation 3 and5 I Know Thy works that thou art neither cold nor hot how would thou work cold or hot so then because Thou Art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot hot I will spew thee out of my mouth here it is verse 17 uh because thou sayth I am rich and increase with goods and have need of nothing and knowest not that thou art wred and miserable and poor and blind and naked here John writes that the rich man is a blind man blind did you hear that he said you're rich you're in oh your mentality is that you're in need of nothing he said oh but you don't even know you're blind hey let me tell you when you got a rich man mentality you're blind to the world around you when you got a rich man mentality you can't see oh every homeless person is just another homeless person down on their luck come on when you're the when you're a rich man come on your neighbor's just your neighbor and they don't even have a soul to you oh it's the rich man mentality that can get a hold of us we are rich with money and we are rich with fashion and talent and gear We Got Gear coming out of our ears that's what we got we got gear but no burden we got gear but no we got cameras and no burden uh we got LED screens and no burden uh come on right now I'm not come to take pot Shots tonight I've come to preach right now that there's somebody you got a lot going for you and God's blessed you but at some point You' got to realize like a saw the scales have got to come off my eyes I want you to lift your hands and pray right now there's a mentality that's got a hold of us Everywhere I Go Everywhere I Go I hear about preacher won't be long we'll have new carpet won't be long and we'll have that new building have you seen the plans knew this and knew that but at what point are we going to get crazy about new Souls again come on we can sing a new song Oh God have mercy we can sing a new song every Sunday we pride ourself on being fresh we pride ourself on being new we pride ourself come on we want to bring something to the people that they ain't heard and something that'll connect but I got to preach to you if we don't get about new Souls again we'll have pretty bu we'll have pretty buildings and no Revival we'll have pretty song services and no real Revival come on there's a harvest that God has planned for merville there's a harvest but we got to make an attitude adjustment we' got to have a mentality adjustment you know I've got to preach to somebody some of us have got to rent ourselves of rich man mentality there's a big difference in being a winner and a soul winner you know that oh God we are so rich with good church but I wonder if we can even see things think think about or feel a burden for anyone else that's not here tonight God oh God there's a difference oh God there is a difference Jes in being a winner and being a soul winner you may win in all of your relationships and be loved by many but never win a soul you may win in popularity and become a full-time social media influencer and make all kinds of money but never win a soul you see where I'm going there's a difference and being a winner and a soul winner you may win as a creative and have a video that you shot hit a million a million views but never win a soul you may win in music and have your songs hit the top of the charts but never win a soul you may win in business and become a millionaire but never win a soul you may win as a leader and sell out all of your events with standing room only but never win a soul you may even win in Ministry in the eyes of the Pentecostal church and preach on every pentec Pentecostal platform there's ever been all right or man a full-time position still never win a soul one of the biggest problems that exists in our day is that we have so many winners but so few Soul winners tonight I've come to label it as rich man mentality so blessed so rich Pentecostal culture in 2025 is not a soul-winning culture it is not a soul-winning culture oh I I I walk into churches and I see pastor's head spin when I ask them who's your soul winners and they go because they're the ones teaching the Bible studies every Bible study goes to them nobody else has a burden everybody's working everybody's commuting well we you got to understand we work jobs here and it's long commutes sayy what would happen if somebody got a hold of a burden for somebody at your job what would happen if somebody got a BD got a hold of a burden at your school what would happen if some of us said I'm going to do everything in my mentality uh to win a soul who is it that I'm preaching to here tonight uh I'm preaching to the rich man in you and the rich man in me and I got to kill him I got to get him out I got to get rid of the rich man in me I'm preaching about the rich man in you and the rich man in me H it's oh it's the one that can't stop winning but won't win a soul where are the soul winners in this room here tonight come on we have more creatives than we have soul winners but I believe every creative should be a soul winner come on we got more preachers than we have soul winners but we I believe every preacher should be a soul winner we got every we got more singers than Soul winners but I believe every singer should be a soul winner I'm preaching right now we knew oh who knew that we would find ourself in a place we're creatives and businessmen men and musicians and singers and preachers didn't win souls this is not a bash session I've come to preach that something has to die in you thank God for this the Revival that's on the schedule but if the Revival is on the schedule and it never gets in you we'll schedule revivals till Jesus comes and we'll keep talking about the prophecy Prophecies of old and the prophets that's came by and said we were going to have it you know what I've made up my mind as an evangels when I go into a city I'm not there to prophesy well hear me right now I'm not there to prophesy if God put something on me I'll say it but I know that in the United States of America there are so many CI that have prophecy floating on them over them if we were to have prophecy glasses and looked up in the sky and could see all the promises that God had uh you know what we' do we'd quit prophesying and we'd go after what God already said that we could have I'm telling you there's some things oh God you don't need another Prophet to come by I'll tell you what we need we need an army we need an army of evangelists come on I'm not talking about a full-time evangelist with a truck and trailer I'm talking about a fulltime oh God a full-time mentality that says I'm going after a soul I got to find somebody I got to reach somebody come on I'm preaching to somebody in this crowd right now God wants to wake something up in you why don't you lift your hands and let God wake something up in you come on let him wake something up come on it's Wednesday night mid week no no you got to understand what time it is on God's calendar God saying I need a soul winner more than I need anything else lift up your hands and pray right now come on there's a burden in here tonight there's a bird in here tonight come on everybody standing everybody praying right now I got more to say but I feel like God's just stepped in this place come on God's wanting to shake us up God's wanting to stir us up God's wanting to rip some things out of us come on I'm asking for an Apostolic to come to the altar tonight and say God I'm going to get on this Altar and I'm not going to get up until something changes in me I'm going to get on this Altar and I'm not going to get up until I burn for somebody else uh the Lord is not slack concerning his promise uh as some men count slackness but his longsuffering to us were not willing that any should perish I feel like some of us are a little too willing for people to perish we're a little too willing oh God what would happen if somebody got in the sadle of prayer and said God I'm not getting up until you light me on fire with a burden for evangelism come on why don't somebody be real with themselves this is the 64th day of the year today is the 64th day of the year and some of us have not taught one Bible study I've not come to be ugly but I've come to preach what's available to you in this room right now if you will lift up your hands and surrender and you will say God God if you'll light me on fire tonight I'll never turn back I'm telling you there's going to be an anointing that gets a hold to you I'm telling you one real Soul winner can change the very face of your church listen to me for a second we're going to keep praying I feel like this is a god ordained week July August of of last year I was preaching in Zanesville Ohio we did 28 days of Outreach straight we did everything from setting up booths on the side of the road to knocking doors we went in did block parties in in the projects we did everything we could do to try to reach a soul in 28 days time we baptized 49 people in Jesus name but it was during that time we sent Crews all kinds of different different Aras listen I've preached at churches of 700 people and could only get 10 to show up to outreach that is not right that is not right in the church I wish to God that every Church would cancel their Outreach team today and we would Rebrand ourselves as a Outreach reach church again because every single one of us can reach somebody that somebody else cannot reach I believe in the Net's mentality Jesus said let down your nets for a Dro obviously we know that Peter only lets down one net he should have put a net on every side of the boat why don't we have Nets in every single community in this area come on every low income High income young old it doesn't matter what side of the tracks they're on there's a soul but pastor we sent people to every area that we could multiple teams we had like 70 people that day for outreach split up in into many different groups as we can and there was there in zanville there's a place called The W Bridge everybody knows where the y bridge is it's the bridge that goes goes in three ways it's a why and the one of the one of the teams went out and you know what we were doing everybody we approached we were asking if we could pray with them they had a need there was a man that was standing oh god there there was a man that was sitting there in his car his car was in drive his foot was on the brake and tears are rolling down his face and he's getting ready to drive off into the Ravine and somebody knocked on the window brother Ericson and they said hey can we pray for you is there anything come on as far as they know he's just parked and having a bad day but they knock on the door and he rolls down the window and he says I'm about to drive off here and kill myself he said my family's a wreck and it's my fault I made a mistake it's my fault my family can never be together they begin to pray with this man oh God they begin to pray with this man we sat down and taught this man a Bible study uh we baptized him uh in the name of Jesus Christ and he came out of the water speaking another time what a victory story preacher but I've come to preach to somebody tonight there's got to be a time in your life where you're tired of being a story hearer and you transition into being a Storyteller the only way you can tell the story is if you go for it yourself when Jesus sent the disciples out the Lord worked with them I've come to preach to this church God's ready to work with you if you're ready to oh God this is a partnership I'm preaching about partnering with God God works with those that will work I want to lift up our hands right now and make a commitment I'm done tonight I know we ain't got music but that's okay I think we ought to just lift up our hands and we ought to go ahead and pray loud enough that we realize we don't need music tonight and I wish we would cry out until a burden got a hold of us until we were shaken with a real call to Ministry my God I'm preaching to somebody God is looking for somebody in this room God is looking for a Difference Maker in this room there's a difference maker in this room I want you to cry out with Reckless abandoned right now come on there's an anointing lift up your hands open up your Spirit lift up your hands and open up your spirit I'm about to pray a prayer and a burden's about to hit this house lift up your hands by the authority of the word of God and by the power that's in the name of Jesus God I loose a burden of evangelism upon these people people I know you brought me here for this week but tonight you brought me here for this church God let there be an impartation let there be an impartation of a burden for the Lost somebody ought to cry while if you can't cry you ought to pray till you can cry again oh help come on fac something's coming but we got to cry for it come on fa F something's coming but we got to reach for it something's coming but we got to work for it come on we got to have a burden we got to have a burden we got to break the mentality of the rich man and say God I'm not just going to sit around I've got to find five right now come on I want you to lay hands on somebody next to you God's doing something in the body of Christ right now come on I need every Elder that knows how to intercede to begin to intercede right now I need every gray-haired intercessor I need every gray-haired intercessor to begin to cry out in this place come on somebody ought to pray till Souls matter more to you than anything else break me of myself God break make me of myself God come on wi the last time you cried for this city come on when's the last time you cried for this area when the last time you cried for the Revival that he's wantan to do in this area come on if you're standing next to somebody grab him by the hand and begin to pray come on if you're a guest here tonight come on don't be afraid to reach over and join the prayer meeting God wants to change every single person that's in this house here tonight God wants to change every single person come on you don't have to live in fear you don't have to live in fear come on you don't have to go to hell God can set you free free today you don't have to die lost you don't have to end up in this place called hell that I preached about tonight but you can be set free something can be unlocked for you in this house tonight yes come on fac everybody find somebody right now come on God's getting ready to do something son do it in do it in everybody praying I don't know if you realize it or not but the love of God has just stepped into this place and is beginning to reach for people I want you to listen to me right now tonight we're all going to pray a prayer together I want everybody to lift lift up your hands everybody come on everybody if you're a guest that's okay lift up your hands if you've been here for 50 years that's okay just lift up your hands Anyway come on now everybody we're going to close our eyes come on close your eyes we're doing this together nobody looking around please nobody looking around come on if maybe this is your first time here you've never been here in your entire life that's okay just close your eyes right now come on maybe you've been been here for 25 years and and you had you've had and and you sang in the choir that's okay just lift your hands and close your eyes everybody I want you to imagine this in your mind I want you to imagine a beautiful King's Cup do you see it come on it's been a while since some of us have used our imagination but when we were kids we could be Pirates and we could be policemen and we could fly airplanes and we could go to Mars and we could do all all kinds of things I'm asking you wake up your imagination right now come on close your eyes close your eyes I want you to see that King's Cup now in that beautiful king's cup I want you to see the darkest nastiest dirtiest water you've ever seen poured in there listen to me that that king's cup is your life and that dirty water that you're looking at is something called sin somebody shout sin s I'm being I'm being very simple for somebody today but I'm going to tell you what we're about to do across this room every single one of us we're going to empty out this cup with our words listen to me inside that cup for some is jealousy for some it's bitterness for some it's habits and it's addictions for some of us of us it's gossip it can be a number of things but but all all we know is no sin can enter no sin can enter into the kingdom of God so keep them way listen to me right now I want us to take a few steps back in this altar area this is the first night some of you that are down on the floor that's okay just just get up and scoot back a little bit does anybody feel that love pulling right now you know I've heard it probably probably the one that's on Earth right now that's seen more people receive the Holy Ghost than probably anybody the king's clown tens of thousands receiving the Holy Ghost and his kids kids Services you know he I never forget he said one time he said you know preach preachers they just haven't figured it out he said these preachers they try to structure these great altar calls he said but I've learned there's a time in every service that the altar itself starts calling that's what's happening in this room right now I want you to close your eyes right now somebody right now your heart is stirred in a way that it has not been in years there's somebody in this room right now you can feel it almost feels like there's a rope attached to your heart and it's pulling you forward that's the pull that's the call of God tonight God will fill people with the Holy Ghost tonight people will speak with other tongues as the spirit gave the utterance I want somebody to shout the tongue why did God choose the tongue all this talking and tongue business tripping people out freaking people out what's all this tongue business James wrote it best James said but the tongue can no man came it's unruly evil it's full of deadly poison somebody say poison poison inside Man's Tongue lies his greatest weakness people lie people gossip marriages are destroyed relationships are ended because of things that were said there are people in the grave today because of conversations that they had that they had no business being in but inside the tongue also lies man's greatest strength if he will surrender it unto the Lord the Bible says when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all in one Accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven somebody shout Heaven somebody shout heaven where was it from heaven got involved with Earth they prayed in that upper room for 10 days there was a Pursuit there was a persistence there was something that was reaching for God a God that they didn't even fully know what he was even going to do in them they had never spoken tongues before but the Bible said suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a Russian Mighty Wind it filled all the house where they were were sitting and there appeared un them clothing tongues like as a fire it set upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and begin to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave the utterance there's a lot of things that I don't understand about the spirit I pray I try to seek God but it does not take a scholar to recog recogniz that what happened in that upper room was a Heavenly experience and if you're here tonight and you have never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues tonight is your night I don't care if you sought for 20 years tonight's your night we prayed with people that sought for 20 years 15 years tonight is your night maybe you're a firsttime visitor you say I feel God move moving I feel God pulling at My Heart Church I want you to be the body of Christ I want you I want you to grab somebody next to you I want you to look around right now try to find somebody somebody's next to you if there's anybody here that's never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and you want that I want you to go ahead and come up right here is there anybody I'm not gonna shake you I'm not gonna make you stand on the platform I'm not I'm not going to do anything ugly to you church I want you to be the church I want I want you to look next to you and ask somebody have you received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues before tell them you don't have to be afraid sent by God at this point Paul is blind he hasn't ate or drank in three days he's all stirred up on the inside and that man walked in and this is what he said to him he said and now why terest thou you know what that means what are you waiting for arve get up from where you are and be baptized and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord here in scripture we see the only way for sins to be washed away you don't have your sins washed away by saying a sinner's prayer you don't have your sins washed away by paying a tithe you don't have your sins washed away because you come from the right family but the name of the Lord when it is spoken over you in baptism when somebody gets in that water up there it's just water but the moment somebody says in the name of Jesus Christ something happens and that water the bottom of that tank turns to a grave and when that person's put underwater everything that they've ever done is gone every person they've ever hurt is gone they may be a murderer but they are a murderer no more in the eyes of God because when that name is spoken over them what is the name of the Lord Paul had a very real experience now Paul but used to be Saul in Acts n gets kicked backwards off of his horse by a bright light from heaven and he asked the question who art thou Lord and a voice from Heaven comes and says I am Jesus whom thou persecutest I know we've had people receive the Holy Ghost here tonight but I want to tell I'm thankful that you've been born of the spirit but tonight we're about to give an opportunity for someone to be born of the water if you're here young or old it does not matter maybe this is your first service maybe this is your 50th service but if you're here tonight maybe you were baptized a different way maybe you were baptized in the titles Father Son and Holy Ghost that's okay we'll baptize you the right way which is in the name of the Lord the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Acts 19 shows us that rebaptism is biblical and we're re-baptized people across the world so right now we're going to open up the baptistry we got water we got robes we got some of the best baptizer in all of Tennessee right here right now all we got left is excuses I want you close your eyes right now God's moving on somebody God's moving on you sir God's moving on you young lady God's mooving moving on you young man maybe you came up here and you sought for the Holy Ghost tonight and you didn't get it you know what I believe I believe you can be baptized in Jesus name tonight and just as they did in Acts 19 come out the water we'll lay hands on you and God will fill you with his spirit so right now I'm going to open this up make it very easy I want everybody to look at the person next to you let's not be cute right now let's find somebody we don't know maybe go to somebody you don't know look around find somebody I want you to ask them have you ever been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ if they say yes say Where Were You baptized where well First Baptist Church First Baptist Church don't baptize in Jesus name well I was Christen well you know what that's not baptism in Jesus name well I was baptized at the Methodist Church when I was 9 years old and was a good preacher and we had a good potluck dinner afterwards listen that's not good enough it must be done in the name of the only saving name of Jesus
