Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The Keys of the Kingdom: It Hinges on Me
- Jesus speaks of the church for the first time at Cesaria Philippi, standing by the massive rock cliff and the cave called the gates of Hades, and declares that the gates of hell shall not prevail against his church.
- Upon this rock he will build his church, and he gives the keys of the kingdom: whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven.
- The keys were not keys to something new; they existed before there was anything to unlock, because the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world.
- The church is the human hinge on which the doors of heaven swing: heaven is waiting on the church, and what God wants to do in a room hinges on the people in it.
Scriptures: Matthew 16:18-19
Laid Daily at the Gate Beautiful
- Peter and John, going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, stop for the man laid daily at the gate called Beautiful, who asks alms expecting to receive something.
- Peter has no silver or gold, but gives what he has: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the man rises, walks, and enters the temple leaping and praising God.
- Miracles are walked by when the church forgets who it is; the man had been laid at the gate day after day, at the very door of the place of worship.
- God is not holding out on some and giving to others; the standing command is ask, seek, and knock.
Scriptures: Acts 3:1-9
God Uses People: A Disciple Sent to Saul
- In a vision the Lord directs a disciple at Damascus to the street called Straight, to the house of Judas, to lay hands on Saul of Tarsus so that he might receive his sight.
- God could have restored the sight himself, but it hinged on somebody: once the church is birthed, God works through people calling for people.
- The pattern runs on through the book of Acts: heaven's resources are bound and loosed through the church God has chosen to use.
Scriptures: Acts 9:10-12
Prayer Without Ceasing: Peter Loosed from Prison
- Herod kills James and imprisons Peter, but prayer is made without ceasing by the church for him.
- The angel wakes Peter in the prison, his chains fall off, and the iron gate opens of its own accord; the church's praying looses what Herod bound.
- Peter comes to the house where many are gathered praying, and the damsel who hears his voice runs in with the news while the praying church still doubts it is him.
- What has been prayed for may already be standing on the other side of the door; the hindrance is not God's unwillingness but the door that has not been opened.
Scriptures: Acts 12:1-16
Open the Door: Pride Keeps It Shut
- The door is the believer himself: the answer is on the other side, and it opens with praise, worship, and obedience rather than begging for what obedience would release.
- Prayer is not silent wishing; in the Bible prayer has words and breath, and heaven responds when the church participates instead of spectating.
- The church has grown accustomed to sickness and sameness; God is an exceeding God who wants to do in a place what he has never done before.
Agree Together and Call for the Elders
- Jesus reiterates the promise in Matthew 18: if two agree on earth touching anything they ask, it is done for them, and where two or three are gathered in his name he is in their midst.
- James directs the sick to call for the elders of the church; God can heal anywhere, but the common factor he chooses is the participating church.
- The congregation acts on it: the elders line the center aisle with oil, and those needing healing walk out one set of doors and in the other to be prayed for, while the church creates the atmosphere.

Get your Bibles out this evening. Go to the word of the Lord. Matthew chapter number 16. The great presence of the Lord that we feel in this place tonight. I want to say just quickly before we go into the word of the Lord, give honor to Pastor Sister Carpenter. We're thankful for them. As Pastor Ericson said this morning, it is pastor appreciation Sunday and we love them and I think they deserve just a big applause. We honor them and love them today. You be in prayer. You be in prayer for pastor this week. Uh we're thankful to be able to host um our fall planning for the ALJC this week here at the church. if you'd be in prayer for pastor this week as he hosts. We know that he is uh God has appointed him to uh put him in that place to lead the assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. And they'll be meeting here this week. And let's just uh pray that God would would strengthen pastor and help him as he does what God has called and ordained him to do. And uh we pray safe travels for him as he's on his way back. uh for that. I also just um seen a number of pastors, some missionaries, uh some that have come in early for fall planning. We welcome you. We honor you. Could we give all of our guests a big hand for being here with us tonight? Thank you for worshiping the Lord with us at First Apostolic Church. I I I don't know that he is in the room. Usually he is uh putting out fires or running around, but I heard from somebody that it is brother Jeremy Stafford's birthday. And so I want to embarrass him real good. Could y'all We love Brother Stafford around here at the school, the church, everything he does. He is such a help to us and we love him. Appreciate him. Happy birthday to our friend. Such a huge help around here. I know all the school parents and everyone on staff around here are so thankful. So thankful for him. I'm just here tonight, not going to be very long. Just here to encourage you. I'm just here to hopefully kind of change your perspective, build your faith a little bit tonight. Is that all right? Is that all right, everybody? I know sometimes sometimes if we're not careful, we can get so uh so stirred up on preaching against things that when we preach about the things that are actually for us. If we're not careful, we'll know what we're against, but we'll forget all the things that are on our side, right? There's a whole lot more for us than we are again. You know, there's a lot of good things. And so tonight, I just want to kind of build your faith. I just want to change your perspective. Some of you may have walked in here thinking that your giant was too big to fight. I want to change your perspective. And maybe you'll look at him and say, "He's too big to miss." Huh? Just change the way you look at it tonight. That's that's my goal is just to build your faith a little bit. Why Why not? When God is on your side, if God is for us, then who who could be against us? As the church, we have some amazing power. We have some amazing responsibility. And so with that being said, Matthew chapter 16 and verse number 18, very familiar passage. And we will preach from it tonight. And again, I believe God's going to do something uh if we will allow him. I believe God will do something great in this house tonight. Matthew 16 verse number 18 it says it says this and I say also unto thee thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church. Everybody say my church. >> My church. >> My church. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. You bind it on earth, it can be bound in heaven. You loose it on earth, it can be loosed in heaven. I want to preach to you for just a few moments tonight on this. It hinges on me. It hinges on me. It hinges on me. Would you lay your Bibles down? Would you lift your hands to heaven? And would you just pray a prayer that is very much personal? says, "God, I want you to do what you want to do in my life. Lord, I want you to move in my life tonight. Lord, I've not come to just remain the same way that I came when I walked in. Lord, I've not come just to just to simply be here and simply be in attendance. But Lord, I want to be changed in your presence tonight. Lord, I want you to do something great in my life and my family's life and my kids' life. Lord, Lord, I want you to touch this church tonight, Lord. take us to another level. Lord, to those that are here tonight that are hungry, that are looking for more. I pray that they would be fed tonight. Lord, we believe you're going to do great things because that's who you are tonight. Lord, we bless you and we magnify your name. Come on, one more time. Would you clap your hands to him? But would you lift up a shout with that clap and just lift up the name of Jesus? Come on, somebody shout Jesus. Oh, somebody shout Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. You may be seated tonight. What a familiar passage. But Jesus speaks these words and he tells us you can bind on earth something and it can be bound in heaven. Vice versa, if you don't want to bind it, you want to loose it, it can be loosed in heaven. Pretty pretty powerful concept. And what a responsibility that we have or access that we have to something so great. And this is this is a really unique passage. Jesus is speaking here. And Jesus this is the first time and I don't believe it's coincidental, but this is the first time he uses the word church. I'm thankful to be a part of the church. Amen. If there's ever been a day that you're thankful to be a part of the church, I say it all the time. I will continue to say it. I'm thankful to be a part of the church of the living God. Amen. But this is this is the first time that he uses the word church. Jesus speaks these words in Cesaria Philippi which was a hellenistic city which a massic rock cliff. If you've ever looked at some of the the geographical location here it's it's it's very important to know that he speaks this is the home of uh uh to a temple of pan and a cave called the gates of Hades. And so when he says what he says, it's not just him saying what he's saying, but it also is because he's standing where he's standing. It's his location. It's it's geographical. His location's imagery likely in in influences Jesus's choice of words. It's this huge rock cliff. He stands there with and he's he's he speaks these words, Peter. He's talking to the rock as you know his name means using this. There's a lot of imagery here with the scripture, but he says there there's some some play on with not only the rock, but the gates of hell, this location, the gates of Hades at Cicaria Philippi, because hell has a gate. >> He says the gates of hell, they believed in their their idol worship and their their their false gods that this was a place where there would there was a spiritual uh a spiritual threshold that the the spirits would come in and go out at this place. So he stands here at this location saying, "The gates of hell shall not prevail against this thing called the church." This is the first time they've heard the word church. And so he's saying this church that I'm going to give you the keys of, not the keys to. Because the keys of means that the keys were in existence long before it was >> long before there was anything to have keys to. He had the keys. before the foundation of the world was the lamb slain. He already knew there was already a solution. So, there's a lot of things being said in this little passage of scripture that have a lot of significance. But let me remind you tonight before we talk about binding something here and binding something in heaven and the power of the church, know that there are gates in hell. There are things that the adversary wants to loose on your family. There are things that the adversary wants to bind up in your home. There are things in your life that hell wants to come against you with. He wants to loose things against you. But I'm here to help you realize tonight. Maybe just remind all of you. You've heard this before, I'm sure, about the power of the church. >> It's simple, but it's yet profound. And I'm afraid that the church of America specifically cannot be it cannot be forgotten of especially the apostolic church, the church that that the people of the name. It's not it's it's got a great role. It's got a great responsibility. And we must be the church of the living God. We must understand our position. >> We must comprehend our power. >> We must realize our influence. And we must push into our potential >> every Sunday. We must push a little bit further into our potential. Why? Because whatever we bind down here >> can be bound in heaven. >> Whatever we loose down here can be loosed in heaven. I I'm here to remind you tonight that it hinges on us. >> It hinges on me. I'm a part of the church. The church is not just this gathering place or a community. It's not just a place to bring ourselves together and accomplish a greater mission with our time or talent or our treasure. This is a not just a place for weddings and funerals. It's not just a place where we come and grab coffee. It is a place where we can literally open up the doors of heaven. We can open up and we can shut down the thing. Whatever we want to bind, whatever we see to loose, you have the ability to affect the atmosphere of everything that's happening in our society. We have the ability to stop what needs to be stopped. We need to stop worrying and complaining and arguing about things that we as the church have the ability to loose. The church is the human hinge on which the doors of heaven swing. Heaven is waiting on you and I. Heaven wants to do things in this room tonight. God wants to perform things in this room tonight that hinges on you. Are you with me? >> God wants to do things in this room tonight that hinges on you. It hinges on me. It hinges on us not just creating an atmosphere, not just doing what we always do, but coming in with an expectation that something's going to happen in this room that's never happened before. >> That's just what I'm talking about. And I travel enough and preach to let you know this is a common thing in the church of America. You preach faith, you preach miracles, you preach wonders, you preach expanding your perspective on what God can do through the church. And that's the kind of response I get. >> But now if I go tearing down on homosexuality and lesbianism, looking at pornography, holiness, and standards, and everything we're against, all of a sudden we got people running the aisles. But when I talk about God healing your cancer, >> when I talk about God healing your situation, when I talk about God doing something he's never done before, that ought to be what? Why? Because we are the church that has access to the throne room of God to be able to open what needs to be open and close. We ought to walk with faith boldly approaching the throne of grace. Why? We are the church. What does America need today? The church. What does We don't need another group of people that's just looking for another fight, looking for another argument. No, we need people with a solution. >> It hinges on me. Tell somebody next to you, say, "It hinges on us." >> It hinges on us. Heaven is waiting. The church is the human hinge on which the storehouse doors swing. I'll give you a few passages of scripture and there's no coincidence. I want you to notice where we start traveling through when it comes to scripture. Turn to Acts chapter 3 and verse number one. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer being the ninth hour. And a certain man laying from his mother's womb was carried from the the whom they laid at the gate of the temple which is called beautiful to ask for arms them that entered into the temple who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an arm. And Peter fasting his eyes upon him with John said look on us and we had when when he I want you to pay attention to this and he gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them. Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give thee in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Rise up and walk." Now, this is what I'm talking about. He come in ex you have an expectation for for something and you get something totally different. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle both received strength and he leaping up stood and walked and entered in with the temple walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. A miracle takes place where at where we at? Acts chapter 3. He says the church has the ability to bind and loose. The church was birthed in Acts. Now all of a sudden we see a man that's been laid here and laid here and laid here and laid here and laid here for day after day at a gate called beautiful. All of a sudden Peter and John walk by. Who's to say they've not walked by him before? But it's not a question of can God. It's will we stop laid daily at a gate at a hinging point at a place where people were going in and out and it's the door of healing is hanging on the hinges of the church. >> You say why are we praying? Why are we coming in and we petition God each and every week? Because we why why do you worship him? Why do you pray? because we are expecting him to do something that only he can do. We have the ability to open up the heavens. Somebody in this place can be healed tonight. You say, "Well, I've been laid at this gate. I've been coming to service. I've come up and been anointed by the elders Sunday after Sunday after Sunday." Well, guess what? This might just be your Sunday night where something changes. Why? Because God wants to do something different in this place tonight than he did last week. It hinges on us. How many miracles have we walked by because we forgot we were the church? >> How many people have we walked by with needs because we forgot that whatever I bind and whatever I loose, we we the church have supernatural power. I could tell I'm I'm I'm You give me 15 to 20 minutes. I hope to God I convince at least 15 or 20 of y'all. >> You have that kind of power >> when you're praying. You're not just reciting something off a wall. This is not just some catechism. This is not the ABCs. You are speaking to the God who created heaven and earth. The God who can forgive That's why every morning we've trying to change the culture. We're going to parade every one of those school kids in here and we're going to tell them, "Hey, pray, pray, pray, pray. I don't want to pray." You're going to pray. Maybe you'll pray tomorrow. Maybe you'll hear somebody else pray today. You'll hear a testimony at the lunch table of something that God did. Why? Because if that young person can ever understand that I'm not just talking and talking to you, Brother Tyler, nothing against you. Not just talking to a pastor, not just talking to a friend, but I'm talking to a God who can do anything. I'm talking to a God who can bring me out of my situation. I'm talking to a God who not only saved my soul, but he wants to bless me. God wants to bless you. God wants to heal and touch and deliver. He was laid there daily. >> We got to change our perspective that that we got this God who's up here just just moving the He's not up there playing some game, holding out on certain people and giving it to certain people and doing no. Ask, >> seek, knock, >> ask, seek, knock, >> ask, seek, knock. He's laid there daily. Not at the market, not at the washing hole, not at the Walmarts, not at the Dollar Generals, at the church, at the gate of a place of worship. They were on their way way to pray. >> God help us. God help us. >> God help us not to come in and allow even though we come up and we do the right thing in our mind, we've just become used to people being sick. >> We've just become used to things just being the way they are. We've just become accustomed to instead of seeing things that are exceeding him because that's what he's doing. I don't know if you realize or not, but there's nobody in competition with him. >> There's no God. There's no other there's no there there's no other thing being worshiped. In fact, any other god, little g god or idol, whether it be from the biblical times till now, has really no there there's no throne for them. There's really no place for them. And it's really not real at all. It's just serving whoever's worshiping it. >> The idol is us if we're worshiping something other than God because we're trying to fulfill our agenda. Baal was the god of turning away. It didn't matter if it was in their pocket or if it was built 90 foot tall. It was the god of turning away. Every time you turn away from the true and living God, bell would be the substitute for whatever you were trying to fulfill within your pride. So the only thing in competition with an exceeding God, it's me >> because it hinges on me. The only thing that will keep you from getting and ex getting what you need from God, experiencing a move of God, feeling what you've never felt in your life before tonight. It's me. It's up to me. We have such an opportunity at hand. Every time we gather together, Peter and John walked by and decided to loose in heaven what could have been loosed all the while. I don't want anybody in my life missing a miracle because I forgot who I was as the church. The church is the only authority recognized as influencing heaven. The door of deliverance depends on us. The door of healing depends on us. The door of salvation depends on us. Jesus said, "I am the door. Open it. Open it. Open it. Repent. You can open it. The door's there, but it's dependent upon me." If you've not in this place ever repented of your sin, it hinges on you tonight. But if you'll repent of your sins and you'll go be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin. That's the keys he was talking about. He gave them to Peter to build his church there in Acts two. The gospel, the good news, the plan of salvation. Eternal life hinges on me. >> He's done his part. the way, the truth, the life. He's done it. You You've got to open the door. The hinges need a need a little oil tonight. We got We got to get those things loosened up. Some of them, they need a little WD40 on them. You know, it's been a while since you spoke in tongues. >> It's been a while since you experienced anything supernatural. >> In fact, you're more comfortable. You're more comfortable around the things of this world than you are the things of heaven. And that that that that don't make no sense for a child of God when he says you can get what you need from heaven when you're able. >> I'm an overcomer. >> I'm victori. You say, "Well, that's that's how we can bind >> and we can loose. >> There is no telling what God may do. God is not done. He is exceeding his greatness. When he calls the church home, he will be exceeding everything he's ever done. He raised Lazarus. He raised himself. But he's always going to exceed. He's looking to do something greater. He's looking to do something great in your life. He wants to do something powerful in this place tonight. He wants to demonstrate his glory. He wants to demonstrate his power. I know you've got the stories of old. I know we've got testimonies. And I don't ever want to forget where God's brought us from and the great things he's done. And I could stand here with a a book of testimonies of the things I've seen. I've never seen God I've never seen God fail. I've never seen God not not it's it's just amazing the stories. You could thumb through just within this church, within each body of believers that gather in houses of worship of God doing great and mighty things, but that does not mean he's done. He's an exceeding. >> He wants to do something more. He wants to step out. He wants to continue to work. >> Exceed abundantly. Somebody shout, "It hinges on me." >> Now watch. We're still in the book of Acts. Acts three. Now let's go to Acts nine. It talks about the church. The church is birthed. All of a sudden these things start happening. What stuff is being loosed? stuff is being bound. There was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananas and to him the Lord in a vision Ananas and he said, "Behold, I am here Lord." And the Lord said unto him, "Arise, go into the street which is called straight and inquire the house of Judas for the one called Saul of Tarsus. For behold, he prayth and has seen a vision of a man named Ananas coming and putting his hand on him that he might receive sight." Watch as once the church is birthed, hear me. All of a sudden, you start seeing people calling for people. People are starting, hey, hey, could he He did all that he did up to this point. Why would God not just give him his sight back? Because it hinges on somebody. He starts using people. Why? That's that's the plan of the church. the churches. He says, "I'm going to build my church upon this this this this this this powerful concept, these keys and this gospel and they're going to be able to when they have the power of God and they're going to be able to access things that he says, I need you. I need you to go pray." He's had a vision. That's Acts nine. The next chapter, Acts 10, Cornelius, he sends for Peter. Starts to be this idea here. You keep reading through the book of Acts and the epistles and God begins to use this this this this idea of binding and loosing the resources of heaven. Look at Acts 12:es 1. Acts 12 and verse number one. Now about the time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of a church and he killed James the brother of John with a sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. And there were the days of unleavened bread. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison and delivered him to the quarter the the the How do you say that? Holy cow. >> Thank you. What he said, brother Ericen was killing it this morning. I can't even say quatnians. That I don't even think that's right. Of soldiers. Bunch of four soldiers. All right. four groups of soldiers probably to keep him intending after Easter. I always love that they throw Easter in there for all those people that says Easter is not a thing to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison but prayer. Look at this. I'm telling you this gets interesting because once the church is birthed in Acts two, all of a sudden it's not just God intervening. All of a sudden it's not a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire. All of a sudden it's not this invisible king. All of a sudden, it's not Jesus walking in the but he says, "I want these people." You got Peter in prison, but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers bound with two chains. And the keepers before the door kept the prison. And behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shine in the prison, and he spoke Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, "Arise up quickly." And his chains fell off from his hands. And the angel said unto him, "Guard thyself, and bind on thy sandals." So he did. And he said unto him, "Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me." And he went out and followed him, and was not that it was true, was done by an angel. But he thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and second ward, he came into the iron gate that leadth to the city and opened to him on its own accord. >> Huh? And he went out and passed on through one street. For with the angel departed from him because he's he's not only been loosed from jail, but now he's walking out of town and the gates are opened. >> Why? Because the church is praying. He says there's that's just what the scripture says. Says the church begin to pray unto God and all of a sudden he's loosed. He's got an angel escorting him. The gates are opening up for him. And Peter was come to himself said, "Now I know surely that the Lord has sent an angel to deliver me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews." And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John, whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying. This is awesome. They're praying for Peter, who's in jail. He's been loosed from jail with an angel escort and the gates open. And here he comes to the house of the people that's prayed him out of prison. And they said unto her, listen to this. And I'm going to get ahead of myself here. And Peter knocked on the door of the gate and the damsel came and hearkened named Roa. And when when the she heard Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto him to her, "Thou art mad." That's how I feel like some of you, you know, listen to me tonight, you are crazy. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. and said they, "It is it it is his angel." But Peter continued knocking. And when they saw it was him, they were astonished. If you don't get anything else tonight, I just want you to get this one thing that what you've been praying for could just be on the other side of the door. It's an angel. I hear his voice. I hear the preaching. I hear the singing. I hear the songs of Zion. But open the door. There's times where I I'm sure maybe the praise and worship leader say you could just worship. >> You could just pray. >> You could just open the the I'm here to tell you tonight if you would just do something >> that the Bible says do you it would probably blow your mind what's on the other side of those creaky hinges that hadn't been moved in some time. I'm here to tell somebody under the Holy Ghost, the auction of the Holy Ghost, that your answer's on the other side of the door. Well, what's the door? The door is you. You've got to open it. You got to open it with praise. You got to open it with worship. You got to open it with doing something that's out outside of what you normally do. Why? Because pride is the only thing that'll keep that door closed. I I can't help but think that's got to be the most frustrating thing. >> I mean, if if God is in heaven, God's got your answer on the other side of the door and you're standing at an altar. Lord, I wish you'd deliver me from these issues. I wish you'd take care of this situation. Lord, I need a touch. I need some healing. Lord, I need this and my and you're begging God for something that he's saying if you would just be obedient. >> If you would just open, it's some action. >> Let me just mess with you for a moment. Nowhere in the Bible does it talk about prayer. Prayer. All right. All of you theologians, go to the original text. prayer where someone is not audibly speaking. >> Go look at meditate. Go look at all those things that you can find those words. But prayer >> has got some words, some it's it's some breath. Some breath. I don't know if you guys saw it the other day, but they they have they have confirmed that when you inhale and exhale that you are saying Yahweh. doctors confirmed that your breath, your inhale, now I'm pretty country, so I was like, I kept trying to do it. I'm like, I don't think that really sound. But the people they had on there, it sounded pretty good. Like, man, that's awesome. You know, you got some breath in your body. We've sung about it tonight. We've talked about it tonight. We can read Psalms 50 until we're blue in the face. But until we begin to participate in it, nothing's going to change until we decide that I'm going to do something outside of my normal comfort zone. Forget about what everybody thinks. Forget about how big the situation seems and decide I'm going to change my situation because it hinges on me. It's not their fault. It's not their fault. It's not. It don't matter what's been done. It don't matter what they said. It don't matter what the doctor report said. I've got the ability to bind something in heaven. I've got the ability to loose something in heaven. I wish somebody right now would gather up enough. Could you gather up enough faith for just a moment to say, "God, I want you to change a situation. God, I want you to do what I'm telling you in the Holy Ghost, somebody's got a promise knocking at the door. Somebody's got a healing knocking at the door. Come on, open the door. Come on, open the door. Come on, open the door. Come on, young person. You've been fighting that thing long enough. Go ahead and loose yourself of what's been binding you. You say, "I need to be delivered." Yes, you do. And it's all on you tonight. Would you lift up your hand, young person, and be delivered in the name of Jesus? Come on. That's it. Somebody Somebody's here for a miracle tonight. Come on. Somebody's here to be changed tonight. Come on. Let your faith just push you out a little bit. Let your faith just push you out a little bit. It'd be good for some of you to get out the aisle a little bit. Be good for some of you to leap up. Come on, lift your hands right now. Come on. If you want something from God, I wish you'd lift your hands right now high as you can lift them. And would you lift your voice? And would you cry out to God? God, open the door. Open the windows of heaven, Lord. We want to Come on. That's it. Come on. That's it. Nobody looking around. I wish you'd close your eyes. Come on. We're going to do something here in a minute. We'll shift. But are you hungry for him? Are you come for just another Sunday night to check off the attendance list? I don't think so. I've come to connect my heart to heaven. I've come to connect my heart to the Come on. That's it. You don't know what that person next to you is going through. Can we as the church of the living God create an atmosphere where expectation would be so high that God would Yes, God. Yes, God. >> Yes, God. Yes, God. >> Yes, God. Oh, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. That's it. That's it. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Jesus, we need you. Jesus, we need you. Jesus, we need you. Presence of the Lord is here. Presence of the Lord is here. And we're going to do this. We're not stopping what God's doing. We're just going to just going to navigate through this. If musicians and singers would come to help me You'll see the path throughout the book of Acts. We get to Acts 16 and all of a sudden Paul and Silas are singing praises. At midnight the doors swing open. This happens, that happens over and over. We see once the church has the ability, he reiterates in Matthew 18, he says, he says, "I want you to know that you can bind and you can loose, but I want you to hear this." And we're going to we're going to have a we're going to have a prayer line here in just a moment. I feel under the power of the Holy Ghost, God's going to do something. Matthew chapter 18, he reiterates what we read in our opening text. If you could give that to me on the screen, want you to hear this tonight. Matthew 16, he tells us, "You're going to bind and you're going to loose." He just reiterates it again. He gets all the way through. We see it over and over in the epistles. James chapter 5, we read it every Sunday night. Say, "God, can he heal you at your house all by yourself?" Yes, he can. because God's God. But what you'll see is this common factor. He wants to use the church because he's trying to bring people into the body of Christ. So he says, "There any sick among you, let him call for the elders just like he called for Ananas. Let him call for the elders just like he called for this one, just like he called for that one." Why? Because we want to be a participator. It's not just about you say, "Well, I don't need anything tonight." That's not what the church is about. It could be your family tomorrow. It could be your doctor's report tomorrow. It could be your pink slip next week. And so, the point is that every Sunday night, we have an opportunity for God to do something to exceed himself in somebody's life. Could it be yours? Yes. But the point is that even if it's just for one person, that's why we're here tonight. So, I want to I want to do this. We're going to have a moment of prayer. And I asked the elders to come, if they'd come right here in the middle. And if we could just kind of part the waters in this center aisle. This the only way I know to do this cuz every time we do this, it ends up being a traffic jam. And that's a good problem. So, we're going to have this center aisle. We're going to line the elders up. Brother Nolan, if you can help me with some oil, Brother Ericen, we're going to line the elders up in this center aisle. And if you need prayer for healing, if you have a sickness in your body, I know this is a little bit different, but I'm going to ask you to go. And I'm going to ask you to go. And brother or could you help me by opening up both sets of those doors? And I want you to spiritually, I know there has nothing to do with a physical door tonight, but I want you to walk out one set of those doors and I want you to come in the other and I want you to come down this center aisle and these elders are going to pray for you. So elders, if we can slide all the way towards the camera there in the center, all the way up the center aisle. And when you come up to this altar, we're going to begin to rejoice and we're going to begin to pray with you believing that God has healed you. Why? Because he can. And I know he will. And if you've got enough faith tonight, I'm going to ask you just to walk out, go out one door, come back in the other. And church family, if you don't have a sickness in your body, I wish that you would help me praise God. I wish that you'd help me worship God. I wish that you'd help me lift up the name of Jesus and create an atmosphere where chains can be loosed. Some of you may not need a physical healing, but I believe there's somebody in this place that can be loose of anxiety, that can be loosed of worry, can be loose of depression, can be loose of energy and everything that's subject is subject to the name of Jesus. Come on, begin to pray right now. Come on, begin to pray right now in the name of Jesus. Though we speak against every sickness, though we speak against every disease, though we speak the name of Jesus over cancer. Yes, God. Come on. Create an atmosphere right now from the youngest person to the oldest person in this room. I'm asking you to pray. Come on. The church has the power to bind, to loose. Grab the hand of somebody next to you right now. Come on. Bind loose. A miracle can happen. A miracle can happen in this place. A miracle will happen. A miracle will happen. >> Come on. Come on. That's it. Come on. That's it. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Aal. >> Come on. That's it. If any two of you shall agree on earth touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done. for them. My father which is in heaven in the name of Jesus for where two and three are together in my name I'll be in their midst he's here right now in Jesus name will happen >> he's here right now will Jesus will Jesus will happen but Jesus will with Jesus. What happen? >> Come on. That's it. I know they're going through the line, but I want every person that's not in that line to find somebody right now. And I want you to pray over them. I want you to pray over them. Young people, find another young person. Come on, dads. Find you another dad. Come on, find you somebody to pray with right now. Lord, I pray that you would bless this church. God, I pray right now that you would open up the windows of heaven. Lord, I know that your word says what it says, but we don't want it just to be words on a page. We want it to be demonstrated in this place tonight. Lord, I pray that you would touch every mind. I pray that you would touch every heart. Come on. Pray blessings upon them. Touch God. Lord, let anointing rest upon them. Lord, let callings fall in this place tonight. Oh yes, God. Come on. Pray. Pray church. That's it, young man. That's it, young man. Cry out to the Lord. He's got more for you. He wants to exceed what he did for you last week. He wants to do more for you this week. The promises of God are sure. Yes, God. Yes, God. Come on. That's it. God's doing something all over this place. God's touching lives all over this place. Come on. I'm asking you to pray with somebody. Come on. Pray with somebody. Find somebody that wants more of God. We're hungry for you, God. We're hungry for you, Lord. We want to see a demonstration of your power, Lord. We want to see it. Heat. Heat. heal in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Yes, God. Come on. God's doing it. Come on. You see this? >> This is how we This is how This is the way of the >> blood of the lamb. >> The word of your testimony is how we over. >> Come on, that's it. Right now, I wish you'd reach your hand to the center aisle in the name of Jesus as a demonstration of the Holy Ghost. demonstration of the Holy Ghost right now in the name of Jesus. Every singer, every musician, would you reach your hand to this center aisle in the name of Jesus? Come on. I'm asking you, church, please don't check out on me. Would you stay engaged? God wants to do something. It could be their night. It could be their night. There's somebody needs the Holy Ghost in this place. There's somebody needs healing. Yes, God. Yes. Yes. Come on. I see it happening all across this place. But I wish young people, I wish all the young men would get together and pray. Turn this into oldfashioned prayer meeting right now. Young ladies, find just somebody to pray with. our our our our seasoned saints are praying with one another. Come on. Create an atmosphere where two or three are gathered in my name. Come on. He's here right now. The glory of the Lord wants to fall in this place. We're asking you, God. We're asking you, God. We're believing, Lord. The report of the Lord. Oh, in the name of Jesus. Be loosed in the name of Jesus. Be loosed in the name of Jesus. Be loosed in the name of Jesus. Woo! Somebody ought to praise him like it's already happened. Somebody ought to be loose in the Holy Ghost for just a few moments. Somebody ought to give him praise. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Brother Erson, if you want to come up here and close this thing out, I'm going to ask you to do one last thing. I believe it hinges on me. It hinges on us. If it hinges on us, we just did everything God asked us to do, right? We just we just opened the door and I'm going to walk out of this place believing that God just healed. God just delivered. God just touched somebody. You say, "Well, it didn't happen instantly." I believe God began the process. So, I want you to do something for me. It's not even we got 12 minutes till the the the the the sweet hour of 8:00. Would you give me about 2 minutes of just the most exceedingly abundantly pray? Why? Because he's an exceedingly abundantly Why does he deserve a great praise? Because he's a great God. I wonder if somebody'd get out in the aisle a little bit. I wonder if somebody' begin to shout a little bit. I wonder if somebody would just worship the Lord with all their might. If somebody would be Heat up here. Let me see your glass. And if you got it, let me see your song. And if you got it, let me see your leap for joy. And if you got it, let me see where your hands sing. I got it. I got it. I got it. Oh, I got it. I got it. I win. I I win. Sometimes it just feels good to praise him for a little while because after the healing takes place, come on. I find it easy to praise a God that heals and saves and delivers. I find it easy to dance and shout to a God that heals, saves, and delivers. Woo! But here it is. Our true response to the word is not only found in the altar on a Sunday night, but it's found in the prayer room on Monday. And it's found in the prayer room on Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, Saturday. And I'm not saying anybody can shout because everybody's not shouting, but we're talking about what hinges. Um, standing in Oh, Lord. Where we at? I believe it was Hollywood Studios. Hold on. I'm not going I'm I'm not This is not going sacrilegious. I promise you. looked over and I saw about 25 Jewish people and it was 5:30 in the afternoon. Slinky Dog was running and I looked over and they all put their prayer cap on. They pulled their phones out and they started doing this right here and they started reciting. I saw them in Hebrew reciting their prayers. I thought, "My God, they're at Disney World praying in front." They didn't care who was there. >> I heard him begin to say, "Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen." My God. Listen, we want a church that can shout in the altar on a Sunday night, but equally, we need a church. These doors are open from sunrise to sunset every day of the week. We need a church. We may not pray three times a day or four times a day, but my God, surely one time a day, we could come into this house, drive up onto these grounds, park a car, come on in here, sign in, and just find a place of prayer. You say, "I only have 10 minutes." That's enough time. I I only have eight, Brother Ericson. I I'm dropping my child off. I have eight minutes for I have to get on the road, get to work. That's okay. 8 minutes. Get in here and touch God for 8 minutes. >> And let me tell you something. As much as God loves your dance, he wants to talk to us. >> He wants it to be communication. Because right here, I'll tell you what's happened right here. We dance and shout. It's it's a one-way street. It's good. We got to worship our God. But man, we come in here and commune and we pray. Oh my God. Listen. Get here. Sun up to sun down. Come on, let's make this a house of prayer. Let let me correct something. The Bible does not say Jesus did not say, "My house should be called a house of prayer." He said, "My house should be called the house of prayer." There's a difference. A lot of people think they have a house of prayer. This is the house of prayer. Come on, let's make this the house of prayer.
