remain standing as we go to the word of the lord this evening we'll be turning to revelations chapter number 12 and verse number seven so thankful to be in the house of the lord tonight as brother nolan has already mentioned it is so good to see all of our guests thank you for being with us tonight we are honored that you would be here with us at first apostolic church and we do not take it for granted that you chose us to worship this evening those of you that are online watching i'd say that even goes a bit higher because you could have clicked on absolutely anybody and uh maybe even went back on somebody that's not even having church tonight watch something for this morning so thank you for being with us online and being a part of the service with us tonight i give explanation for pastor you say he was here this morning and he's gone tonight so that's the kind of pastor he is because he don't like to miss sundays so he was one place this morning and he's preaching in louisiana at the same missions conference that pastor erickson and sister erickson are at this evening so he was supposed to be there starting i think friday night and when he found out that he wasn't preaching until sunday night he said i ain't leaving fac marvel until i have to so he hit the side door this afternoon and flew and he'll be back first thing in the morning i believe about 7 30. so i'm thankful for a pastor that wants to be home amen what a great word we heard today the lord is my shepherd amen so thankful to have a pastor that's a shepherd amen like we have and i'm honored to stand before you tonight i heard they had a great service today and severe well brother nolan preached the word of the lord and they had a great great service today revelations chapter number 12 and verse number seven say what in the world is he doing going to the book of revelations rare it is a rare thing for me and i have fought all afternoon on this topic and this is going to be very simple it's going to be very to the point but it will be a simple reminder i believe we all must go back to revelations chapter number 12 and verse number seven and there was a war in heaven michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought against his angels and prevailed not neither was their place found any more in heaven and the great dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and satan which deceiveth the whole world he was cast out into the earth somebody say the earth and his angels were cast out with him because when you associate yourself with the wrong person when they get cast out you get cast out even in heaven you hang out with the wrong people and i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now has come salvation and strength of the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ and for the accuser of our brethren is cast down and accused them before our god day and night that's the truth ain't it day and night can't shake him and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb somebody know the blood of the lamb still speaks on our behalf amen and the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto death therefore rejoice ye heavens and ye that dwell in them woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea for the devil has come down unto you having great wrath because he knoweth that he hath but a short time somebody say a short time let's jump down to verse number 17 and the dragon or the devil was wroth with the woman and he went to make war with the remnant of her seed which keep the commandments of god and have the testimony of jesus christ now stay with me here for a moment turn to galatians chapter number three the new testament will stay in verse number 29 if you don't turn that quickly if you'll just look up on the screen i'll read a few verses before i allow you to be seated just just more and if you be christ then you are of abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise so he's got a problem with the seed and if you're in christ he's got a problem with you isaiah 14 and 12 how are thou fallen from heaven oh lucifer's son of the morning how are they all cut down to the ground which didn't weaken the nations it's weakened the nations john 12 and 31 i'm fixing to let you be seated you said my lord this guy's going to read the whole bible for you john 12 31 now is the judgment of this world now shall the prince of this world be cast out and i if i be lifted up from this earth will draw all men un to me the last one and we'll focus right here and this all goes together i promise luke chapter 10 and verse number 17 and the seventy say those angels those angels they returned again with joy saying lord even the devils are subject unto us through thy name and he said unto them i beheld satan as a lightning fall from heaven behold i given to you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you now with standing in this rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven i want to preach to you tonight for just a few moments again it's going to be very simple very simple tonight the devil has a deadline but so do i the devil has a deadline but so do i why don't you lay your bibles down lift your hands to heaven we'll ask the lord to touch us speak to us tonight god your word infallible forever settled god i asked tonight that you would be god my lips be my heart my mind my motive god that i would speak clearly what you've given me tonight god god that you would use me as an anthem o god to your people tonight as a reminder god that there's coming a day god where you're going to split the clouds god but you're going to come and you're going to call the church home god help us tonight remind us tonight god not to become comfortable with our condition god that where we're at is not where we're supposed to be god but we're just passing through god though we've come to hear from heaven tonight though we praise you we honor you we give you thanks and we ask it all in the name of jesus somebody say amen amen you can be seated north america has been polled recently seldom believe that there is a literal devil anymore odd you say researchers george barna found that only 40 percent of americans believe that satan is a living being it's a little better when you call yourself christian because in the church it says 69 percent of catholics and 65 percent of protestants believe the notion of satan is a symbolic figure of evil if satan is not actually a person we have very little use for this thing we call the bible so the first thing we have to do is acknowledge that we have an enemy amen we have to acknowledge that there's somebody that uh is is out to to see us fail for god's word centers around the ongoing conflict between god and lucifer in revelations 12 we opened up when john reaches back into time and emphasizes two monumental events of history which will eventually lead to the ultimate conflict between good and evil at the end of tribulation number one the humiliation of satan this dragon that was cast out of heaven with one third of the angels and the birth of a man named jesus by a woman representing israel and their persecution by this thing called satan mankind became involved all of a sudden in the first few pages of your bible when they uh get involved in this conflict in the garden of eden when uh they became this maybe unwitting pawn if we could look at it that way of the devil's revenge on god because he saw just how prized of possession that you were to god satan had a choice to serve god and he refused and he is jealous of mankind's choice to be able to repent somebody say repent he wants to ensure that we refuse to repent the refusal to repent the opportunity to repent is probably the most jealous thing that satan has against us if you really think about it he's he's very much against the idea that we have a second chance this conflict has recklessly rampaged through man's history through the beginning of mankind satan was successfully he was very successful in leading adam and eve into sin but god intervened in a redemptive act and spoke this promise in genesis 3 and verse number 15 and i promise we're just we're going somewhere this evening i he says i will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed and it shall bruise your head and thou shalt bruise his heel from this very moment that god speaks satan began working feverishly on his plan to launch a preemptive strike against god by aborting the line through which the man child christ jesus would come he wanted to stop the people of god at all cost now go with me here and look at this trail you'll probably know most of these stories he filled cain with enough hatred to murder his righteous brother abel but god raised up seth he led mankind into a enough wickedness that god destroyed the world in a flood but god raised up noah he deceived men and false religions that worship the gods of nature and god raised up abraham satan calls pharaoh to issue a death warrant for all hebrew baby boys but god messed up his plan again through pharaoh's own daughter and brought a baby named moses the devil tempted israel into lustful orgies before a golden calf but god raised up the sons of levi he bribed the prophet of balaam to curse the nation of israel but god controlled balaam's tongue we know that he frightened the surprise with the giants of the land of canaan but god raised up joshua and caleb he tried to starve out the nations through the raids of the midianites but god raised up a man called gideon he polluted the priesthood of israel through the wickedness of eli's son but god raised up a man you've probably heard of him named samuel he snared king saul with the sin of pride but god raised up a man after his own heart that wouldn't have any pride named david he caused queen athelia to kill the royal sea but god raised up a priest that put a young man in the side and hid him named joash he helped haman hatch his plot of genocide against the jews but god raised up a queen named esther he stirred up hatred of the pharisees and the chief priests until they were successful in orchestrating this great crucifixion he even used one of jesus's disciples but i'm here to tell you today that the resurrection foiled the plan of all plans and god has always been and will always be one step ahead of that one that fell from heaven years and years ago so no matter where you're at tonight just know if he's tried to alter where you feel like you're headed there's a god who's got a ram in the thicket there's a god who's got provision on the other side there's a god who sees where you're at we see we pass over into the new testament there are no recorded cases of demon possession in the old testament nowhere but you'll find that all of a sudden they run rampant in the new testament this is because there is war being waves between god and the devil and the spiritual conflict that we see for men's souls because all of a sudden there's a thing called the holy ghost common and through acts chapter 2 we see that the church's birth and all of a sudden we've got all these uh demon-possessed people because the devil's got to have a counterfeit right they showed up and no coincidence when the spirit of god fell in acts chapter 2 upon a group that gathered in the upper room and they were all filled with what the holy ghost right so all of a sudden the devil starts showing up with these demon-possessed people that we begin to read about and we see we enter into this spiritual warfare this spiritual battle israel had a physical covenant but we have a spiritual one we enter into spiritual warfare every day as we breathe god's heir whether we want to acknowledge it or not don't be like 55 60 of our or even even our christian brothers and sisters in the nation that just don't even want to deal with the fact that there is an adversary they just want to try to remove him from the table but my god says that he says i'll prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemy i'll let you sit at the same table with him as long as you don't eat what he brought right as long as we eat of what the lord's got we can't remove him from the table he's a very very sly enemy that we have this warfare has moved from heaven to earth at the incarnation of jesus christ and we are still fighting ground warfare today we're still fighting a war tonight somebody say tonight he is a master liar the devil is he is deceived many by his craft and if you're honest you could maybe wave your hand and say he's got me a few times huh because he knows what he's doing and if we don't acknowledge that we put ourselves in what we would call a deceived state of mind he could have a seat in the church from which he works according to revelations chapter 2 and 13. which means he's here tonight he may have nudged you over a little bit and said hey can i sit right here you may have felt him tug on your arm as you tried to stand up and jump for joy a little bit he might have whispered in your ear about your financial dilemma as you tried to praise the lord and get that out of your mind he had you thinking about what was maybe coming on tv or what was uh going to be served down at the shony's bar tonight after service amen some of you guys go there still maybe it's been a while huh he's got a seat in the church you say oh i don't know about that don't be deceived say god's walking up and down these aisles brother cade god's moving around these altars guess what so is that old slew foot and you better not be deceived this evening to think that your carnal mentality and your pride isn't often to lend ear to that old devil even in the presence of the almighty god he he's he's quite an interesting creature he has power and guess what he even has signs and wonders according to second thessalonians two and two and nine see i thought we were the ones with the miracles signs and wonders he's quite the master of the signs and wonders himself he deceives the scripture says in revelations 12 9 the whole world anybody in the world huh that means all of us you say well i like those promises where it's all of us you know where god says it's for all of you and all well this one's just as much that same all that same three-letter word applies to all of us which means we've all been deceived right we can't ignore he uses sinners to prophesy he uses sinners to cast out devils he uses sinners to do wonderful works matthew says in chapter 7 and verse number 22. my god how deceiving that can be he works miracles according to revelation 16. he has his own doctrine according to first timothy 4. he uses false prophets false christs evil men and seducers according to matthew and timothy he disguises himself as an angel of light some of you've seen some light lately you better make sure it's the light it's a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path because there's some doctrines around there that's being thrown around i better be in christ in christ in me i better have a lamp unto my feet in him and he in me right that's what this is it's twofold i get in him and he gets in me that there therefore tells me there is no trinity you say how was he in the father and the father in him the same way that i am in christ and christ is in me if you've ever repented of your sins been baptized into christ and then experienced the baptism of the holy ghost you'll understand how there's three in one you'll understand how christ could be in flesh but still be god you see he's got him a doctrine he's got him some deception he's got him a way to lead you about to where you may even see some signs and wonders now you've experienced this no doubt satan has many tactics that tactics that he uses on the church to try to defu defeat us you say the church folks the saints of god revelations 12 said he he accuses first timothy 3 says he condemns first peter 5 says he devours revelations 2 says he in prisons ii timothy 2 says he ensnares and ii corinthians paul writes and says he takes advantage of he said well i thought i had the holy ghost you read those scriptures before it said i had all power and authority over him right satan is indeed a powerful and vicious vicious opponent but he labors under one crippling fact his dreaded sentence of eternal imprisonment without the possibility of parole he works under this terrifying reality every moment of his existence and he knows the scripture says that his time is short he knows that not only his time is short but he has a destination and i know the scripture says that we're never more like the devil than when we lie but i lead i believe that that lie has been determined by just the spoken word where i believe that a lie often times we can be not maybe not speaking lives but we could be living lies and the most i i i would say the most characteristic we can be as human beings as the the old dragon the old satanic adversary that we fight is when we want something because for you because i can't have it right if i can't have it you can't have it if i can't go you can't go it's that old middle school thing if i can't have it i don't want you to have it if i can't go if i if i can't pray a prayer of repentance i don't want you to come to this altar if i can't go to heaven i sure don't want you to experience because after all he knows what it's like he's got this curse of all curses he knows how great it is but notice that jesus ties satan's fall not only to his victory on calvary but also to do exploits through his disciples he uses it not only in his victory but in the victory of those that he has fulfilled he's filled with his presence every time we take authority over the devil he is cast down again and again and again every time you stand up and you begin to worship the name of the lord tonight do we realize what happened to satan when the when the choir began to sing joy unspeakable and somebody decided that they didn't care what anybody else was thinking i i there's some folks down here obviously they didn't care anything about anybody else right what in the world you know what was happening to satan's head every time somebody began to jump every time somebody began to lift up their voice every time somebody began to pray every time we decide to make a decision to take a step toward god to make us step into his presence to begin to do something for god to begin to listen to a commandment to begin to put him into action to begin to speak his name he falls again and he falls again and he falls again we didn't just bruise his head when he said it is finished we bruise his head every time we put oh i wish you could understand that with me tonight i don't know about you but for all that the devil's done to me i think that deserves maybe somebody standing on their feet and just shouting hallelujah just giving him one to the top of his head one time because i believe without a doubt all the times that he's kept me up at night all the times he's fought against me why don't you take that one time this evening if nothing else ought to motivate you to worship it ought to be to know that it's twofold i get my victory and he gets i'm not only winning he's losing oh i'll worship for victory i'll have victory in my surrendering i'll praise him because i'm working my way through something but to know that he's got some dust in his eyes to know that he's got a problem when i speak the name of jesus oh come on for just a moment we're not in a hurry just a moment could we just let the devil know where we stand tonight come on don't be ignorant to concerning satan's devices every time you pray every time you obey god oh his wrath gets stirred up you're making him mad tonight you can be seated the devil knows that beyond any shadow of doubt that his time is short prophetically you think monday mornings are hard for us think about it oh man another monday right think about the devil you know he gets worked over on sunday the devil knows his time is short he's got a deadline it's beyond question according to the prophecies of the word of god that satan is feverishly working on a large scale plotting to deceive mankind through immorality and false religions worldliness humanism as pastor was talking about this morning but the devil also understands that this deadline is not just him but he has a deadline with every individual the devil has a deadline but so do i when you make a fresh commitment to god you become a threat to his kingdom i could still imagine the devil probably you know you wake up as a kid you got that one movie my sister still makes fun of me because that ursula lady on little mermaid scared me half to death colby if we're ever we're ever anywhere and start talking about movies somebody being scared i was scared of that lady come up on the water you know i imagine that paul is probably the devil's ursula you know can you imagine god forbid brother nolan turned out to be a paul i got to do something to deceive him god forbid one of these young people sitting over here have been listening to a missionary teach them some bible class god forbid they turn into a missionary oh my god god forbid that somebody catch fire in this place it's been delivered for something and began to walk up and down the streets telling somebody about i just believe that on sundays god's just worried that somebody might just take a step out of their seat and come around somebody some father might worship that ain't worshipped in a long time and his kid might see him and think oh because one decision one thing can change oh i believe it this evening don't you know he has nightmares about peter i thought i had that joker here he goes from cussing around fires huh to preaching pentecost i'm haunting this guy with a crow and rooster one minute and he's over here crowing like a saint of god the keys to the kingdom the next nobody's too far i don't care where you're at i don't care where you feel like you've not made enough bad decisions we're talking about a man who stood with him in the flesh denied him in the flesh oh i feel his presence i feel his power in this place tonight the devil knows that there's a period of what i'd like to refer to this evening as proving time between that which is prayed and when prayers are answered it's a short time to work he knows there's only a brief period we're out of his clutches and walking into victory for good we're just this process and when all hell breaks loose between sunday night and monday morning right he will not let you rise to a higher level in your relationship with god without a serious battle when he sees you on the brink of victory he knows his time is short tragically many believe believers give up they give up in the midst of the fight during this time this short time where we see that the lies and the deception of satan that's just i don't think although you worship this evening i don't think you can really become a worshiper although you made that step all over you're trying to be that father you're trying to be that mother you're trying to make sure that you you cross all the t's and dot all the eyes and you're giving it your best effort the devil begins to deceive you and the devil magnifies that sin the devil magnifies that slip up even the bible says when you sin the bible calls you a child of the devil himself in john 8 44. there is a sin sickness that strikes the children of the devil that is a long slippery slope of you being comfortable in ignorance comfortable in deception moving to delusion it reaches its peak when sin suddenly loses its pleasure and becomes boring and unfulfilling that's why sin keeps pulling you deeper and deeper and deeper is there somebody with a testimony tonight could wave your hand and say i never intended to go that far right never intended to find myself on a bar stool i never intended to find myself divorced never intended to be addicted right but he has a way of deceiving us you feel that emptiness you have this urge to try and experience perhaps with god and satan goes into panic i hope there's somebody in the house tonight the one thing he fears the most is that you will open your heart or open a door up to god satan always tries one last time one attempt to turn you around he will throw everything alluring every temptation if you feel that this is you tonight just know that you're headed the right direction every lust every lie all that he's got in his arsenals coming at you the instant you move towards jesus satan is helpless to stop you luke 9 and 42 says and and as he was yet a coming the devil threw him down because any time you make a step toward god hear me child of god tonight any time you make a decision to go deeper any time you make a decision to step he said as he was coming as he was yet to come and the devil threw him down and tear him and jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child and delivered him again unto his father the devil's working and he works overtime when he sees you taking a step toward god the devil has a deadline with sinners who want to be saved the devil has a deadline with you tonight hearing the word of the lord and knowing that there is water what does hinder you from being baptized in his name the devil has a deadline tonight that by the end of this sermon that you would make your way to an altar and you would cause all of his plans to go haywire the devil has a deadline to meet because he's got a spirit that likes to lurk and to dwell and enter into you as a vessel and exit and maybe come back with seven more more wicked than himself and enter and exit into your life but he knows that tonight you have access through the presence of god to something called the holy ghost that can change your life that can bring freedom and hope and redemption the devil has a deadline to meet revelations chapter number 22 and verse number 7 behold i come quickly blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book now this is the last chapter of this book revelations 22 and 12. and behold i come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work shall be keep the sayings of my book and do the work revelations 22 and 20 and verse number 21 this is it he said it three times in his last chapter he which testifieth these things saith surely i come quickly amen even so come lord jesus the grace of our lord jesus christ be with you all amen words what a book every promise every commandment every thing that he shows us that from the beginning to the end and he's the alpha and omega the king of kings the lord of lords plan his story of how he comes to earth all the great things that we can see that's so revlo revelatory so life-changing and three times he says in the last page i come quickly i come quickly surely i come quickly because there is a longing in god there's a longing in god to be with his bride because you see god's been waiting a long time he waited on noah to build an ark god waited on the water to renovate the earth he waited on abraham to separate from lot he waited on lot to get out of sodom he waited on jacob to change his name he waited on joseph from pits and prisons god waited on moses 40 years in egypt and then he had to wait on him another 40 years in the wilderness he waited on pharaoh to harden his heart he waited on israel to spy out the land he waited on samson's hair to grow back he waited on samuel to anoint david he waited in an upper room while judas would sell him out he waited in a garden until they came for him he waited six hours on a cross and he waited three days in a tomb i feel the word of the lord for the church tonight as i come quickly i heard it so strong this evening and preparing that i've been waiting tell the church tonight that i have been waiting the groom is anxiously waiting on its bride and i come quickly i end it all with i come quickly i know times are different i know times may be difficult we've never seen things that we're seeing now but god is coming he will catch some mid-repentance he'll catch some on the day that they finally to try to make it right and they're going to get baptized in his name he will find someone seeking the holy ghost but know whether he catches you before in the midst or after he's coming in the twinkling of an eye he said comfort one another with these words so however i find you this evening no matter your age whether this word is comforting or catastrophic to your condition god is coming back i'm here to tell you that he's coming quickly god is coming back the devil's got a deadline but brother jacob so do i i don't want to take any chances see understand this is is very interesting there's quite the contrast in when the lord speaks and says i come quickly and i'm coming soon because he didn't close out his word with i'm coming soon because we see here that soon implies that there's time to prepare soon implies that there's an opportunity to make amends soon as there's time to get ready a time to repent but quickly affords us none of those i don't know about you but i've maybe you can relate to this i don't like being late and there's some times brother rob that i don't know how quick i'm going to be able to get there i just want you to know i'm coming as fast as i can i can't tell you i'm going to make it home by 8 30 tonight but the way my body feels i can tell my bed tonight that i'm coming quickly right some of you tonight the way that your stomach is growling at you right now you can say i don't know when but i'm coming quickly to a restaurant near you amen i come quickly can we relate to that i can't tell you exactly when what could you just feel as you read the scripture as we relate to every single one of those stories that i don't know when i i can't tell you a saint of god i can't tell you trendsetter win but just know that as the as is as the bridegroom that that i i'm coming as quick as i can i don't know what time i'm gonna no man knows the day nor the hour but i'm coming as quick as i can hebrews chapter 11 and verse number seven by faith noah being warned of god of those things not seen as yet moved with fear prepared an ark to the saving of his house by the which he condemned the world and he became the heir of righteousness which is by faith come tonight to tell somebody i don't know when it's going to rain but my salvation rests in knowing that it's going to there's no need to check the tides there's no need to put you know the finger in the air and check the temperature of the winds or the currents he said he's coming and so i know he's coming and i'm not so concerned about every prophetic thing and every moon and every this and every that as much as i just want to know that at the beginning of his word he started telling me that that he created me in his image and he has followed me and the seed of abraham that he's promised that we'll would prosper through this entire thing and i've never seen the righteous forsaken he said well you're not very old you're exactly right i'm not but i've seen generations that's lived this thing you know i i oftentimes struggle because i can't relate with some people that's come out of the world but i tell you what i can relate with i've never seen the righteous forsaken not for six generations i've never seen a seed begging for bread i've seen god see many through fires through through trouble through sickness so through so many different issues that have just remained faithful to god and it all works out he's coming back second peter chapter 3 in closing in verse number eight but beloved be not ignorant of this one thing that one day is with the lord as a thousand years and a thousand years is one day the lord is not slack concerning his promises as some men count slackness but is longsuffering to us word not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance but the day of the lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat in the earth also in the works and that our therein shall be burned up he said like a thief if there's anything we know is that a thief uses quickness and a surprise we're not promised tomorrow you say i'm not seeing any suspicious activity i'm not seeing anything that makes me think that the lord's coming i've not felt any earthquakes or seen any of these things i've watched all the prophecies and done all those things i've not seen anything i live in a good spot i feel good about where i'm at but there's a thief and i've come tonight just to tell somebody to lock the doors that you need to prepare that there's an adversary that wants to steal kill and to destroy get ready because the devil is trying to meet a deadline and so am i get ready because we see that this last prayer of the bible in revelations 22 and its last this thing i testify he says surely i come quickly and he says amen even so come as you stand your feet tonight i ask you a question can you pray that prayer even so come is it comforting to hear the words that he's coming quickly is it comforting to you to know that the lord is planning a surprise to come and steal out to take out the church is there a bride that's ready for the bridegroom because he says i'm coming as fast as i can as you bow your heads this evening how sad it would be to know that he's coming and not be ready how sad it would be to know his promises but not experience heaven to be in a church that cast out devils it seems miracle signs and wonders but hear the word depart for i never knew you i'd like to ask somebody tonight and i want to open these altars to anyone that just feels the need but is there that one thing that one issue that makes you unsure during a message like tonight is there that one thing that if you were just honest with yourself if you're honest with god is there something in your life is there a problem with somebody else's we're trying to prepare for this coming of the lord that you just don't really know if you're ready or not the devil is going to try everything he's got within his power to keep you from making a step out of your seat and coming to an altar because every step you take towards him he's gonna fight you and i know that we have our normals that step out and you're the first ones around this altar but i'd like to just hold you back for a moment we'll all come around these altars so give everybody an opportunity to pray but if there's somebody who just would like to make a life-changing decision because you want to hear him say well done thou good and faithful servant if you need to repent tonight there's an altar if you need to be baptized in the name of jesus for the remission of your sins take on that
