Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

If Christ be not risen

  • The preacher takes his text from Paul's word: if Christ is not risen, preaching is vain and faith is also vain — everything stands or falls on the resurrection.
  • Scholars, historians and judges across the centuries are marshalled as witnesses that no fact of history is better supported than that Christ died and rose again.
  • Pilate ordered the tomb made as sure as men could make it: six trials, the crucifixion and piercing, burial in a hewn tomb, the Roman guard, and the official seal on the stone.
  • In spite of every precaution the seal was broken, the guard fled, the grave clothes lay empty and undisturbed, and the risen Christ showed himself to above five hundred at once.
  • Paul's own chain is read aloud: if there is no resurrection the witnesses are false, faith is vain and the dead in Christ are perished — but now is Christ risen, the firstfruits of them that slept.

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:14; Matthew 27:65; 1 Corinthians 15:6; 1 Corinthians 15:13-20

Risen with him

  • Those risen with Christ are told to seek the things above, set their affection there, and wait for Christ who is their life to appear.
  • In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily: if he rose from the dead, he is who he said he was — God in flesh, the everlasting Father, Alpha and Omega.
  • Buried with him in baptism and risen with him through faith in the operation of God, the believer is quickened together with him, every trespass forgiven.
  • The handwriting of ordinances was blotted out and nailed to the cross, and the principalities and powers Pilate's precautions represent were spoiled openly — death, burial and resurrection answered by repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

Scriptures: Colossians 3:1-4; Colossians 2:9; Colossians 2:12-15

Who shall roll away the stone

  • The women came to the sepulchre worrying over a stone they could not move, only to find God had already rolled it away — believers often worry over what he has already moved.
  • The rolling stone was a rarity, cut for a rich man's tomb: Joseph of Aromathea, as Isaiah foresaw, made his grave with the rich in his death, and Jesus was buried like a king.
  • Matthew's account is read in full: the earthquake, the angel descending to roll back the stone and sit on it, the keepers shaking as dead men, and the message — he is not here, he is risen.
  • As the Lord told Joshua he had rolled away the reproach of Egypt, the stone still rolls away reproach today; every sunrise is set against the rising of the Son as a reminder of a risen savior.

Scriptures: Mark 16:3-4; Isaiah 53:9; Matthew 28:1-7; Joshua 5:9; Mark 16:1-2

The stone is still rolling

  • Herod, in the only place Easter is named in Scripture, waited until after Easter to bring Peter forth — a warning against celebrating the risen savior and walking back out unchanged.
  • The end of the gospel is the beginning of Acts: the stone rolls out of John into Pentecost, where Peter's answer to a risen Christ is repentance, baptism in Jesus' name for the remission of sins, and the gift of the Holy Ghost, the promise to all that are afar off.
  • Truth put in a grave is only planted, not buried: the book of Acts ends unhindered and unstoppable, and the preacher closes by calling the church to act on it.
  • During the altar ministry that closes the span, a convert is baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the preacher invites anyone else who needs to be baptized to come.

because you chose us and you called us out of darkness and to this marvelous light god speak to us tonight we'll give you praise and glory and honor in jesus name we pray and the church said amen amen you can be seated this evening if christ not be not risen then is our preaching vain the resurrection of jesus christ is not only the foundation of christianity but without it our message is not only false but completely powerless but the resurrection did happen even though skeptics have tried to disprove it for centuries professor thomas arnold chairman of the modern history of oxford university he said i know of no one fact in the history of mankind which is proven more fuller full of evidence of every sort than the great sign which god has given us that christ died and rose again from the dead brook foss westcott english scholar and textual critic she said this it is not too much to say that there is no historical incident better supported than the resurrection of jesus christ paul l mayer professor of ancient history in western michigan university says no shred of evidence has yet been discovered in all of history in literary sources or archaeological archaeology evidence that would disprove the resurrection of jesus christ lord caldea chief justice of england he said as a matter of strict evidence the resurrection is a fact beyond dispute and dr simon greenleaf royal professor of the law at harvard university said there is more evidence for the historical fact of the resurrection of jesus christ than for just about any other event we've ever recorded in history so not just your bible tells us but in spite of any skeptic critic uh anybody that would even say that maybe there's not a god they can look back in their history books and their universities would even confirm even your most liberal unico universities in the united states or over in england or overseas they would proclaim that in spite of anybody that tries to tear it apart that the evidence speaks for itself in fact matthew 27 and verse number 65 says pilate said unto them you have a watch go your way and make it as sure as you can and this has always puzzled me because it seems like pilate of all people kind of knew something was going on right he said go make it as sure as you can now i i just do your best all right make it as sure as you you can i i know you just can't make it sure but just do the best you can so pilate allows and and pushes forward and encourages everyone that is sitting under him to take some major precautions to make sure that they did things right and that jesus was not just crucified if we're going to go through with this if we're going to do it we're going to do it right and we're going to make it as sure as we possibly can so number one we find five things that pilate took and put in order put in motion to make sure that it was as sure as it could be he puts him on trial jesus christ not only went through what the normal person would go through of a trial he went through six trials he went through six trials three jewish and three romans he went before the high priest he went before cyphus he went before pilate he went before herod he went before the sanhedrin he was just trialled after trial after trial so we want to make it sure number two is the crucifixion alexander the great introduced that the crucifixion uh was the most gruesome of all acts he wanted to make sure that it was the most cruel and hideous of of death that this torturing process that romans pitied the victims and josephus the jewish historians had observed many crucifixions during the siege of jerusalem that he called them the most wretched death imagined the romans were efficient in crucifixions victims did not escape with their lives and jesus was not only crucified the scripture says that he was scourged he was tortured he was uh tortured all the way to exhaustion and his rib cage was pierced with a spear which ruptured his pericardium so that the blood and the water would flow out and we made sure that we were going to do it as sure as we could because we were going to make sure he was dead i didn't hear nothing about it you know we could we could be painting a picture here but we don't see anything anywhere else where they were piercing anybody else's side but pilate said we're going to make sure that he's dead number three would be the burial because jesus body was placed in a tomb it's very uh very normal that they would have just left them hanging on the cross for for uh animals or or or birds or whatever to come eat uh the the the what was the left of the bodies but since it was a holy day coming up they decided that they were going to honor the sabbath and they had to take these thieves down and take jesus down and we see that jesus body was placed in a tomb which was hewn out of a solid rock and a very large stone and was rolled against the front of the tomb and in one of the copies of mark's gospel preserved in the cambridge library in england this this statement is added to the point of the narrative it says and when jesus was laid there joseph of aromathea who it was a borrowed tomb of joseph's puts against the tomb a stone which it says that records 20 men could not have rolled it away it says that engineers have examined the evidence and said that the type of stone and area would have weighed somewhere between a ton and a half to two tons large enough to cover a five-foot door opening quite the burial number four if that wasn't enough we pl we placed the roman guard pilate said and referred we see it referred to in the gospel it wasn't just one guard standing there like we see sometimes in the picture the roman guard and the gospel was a 16-man security system normally four men were placed immediately in front of what they were to protect and the other 12 would sit on in a semi-circle in front of them and when it come time to sleep they would sleep with their heads pointed toward the other four to make sure that in their rotation and in their shifts in their clock time that nothing went without notice it would have been virtually impossible for somebody to steal jesus's body and number five as if it just doesn't get good enough after the guards inspected the tomb and they rolled the stone in place a cord was stretched across the rock and fastened at either end sealing the clay and they packed the clay and stamped the official signet of the roman government on the front of the tomb this seal was a public testimony that jesus body was there protected from anything and nothing was going to overcome the authority of the roman government anyone trying to remove it would mean cure the wrath of rome but in spite of all precautions the tomb of jesus we stand today at the end of the book we know is empty on easter morning if you wish to rationalize away the resurrection you must deal with a certain insurmountable number of facts that you might say that the jews and the romans actually outwitted themselves when they took so many precautions to make sure that jesus was dead and remained in the grave their precautions made it very difficult for critics to defend their position that christ did not rise from the dead so we stand here today and the roman seal's been broken and the tomb was empty the large stone was rolled away the roman guard fled grave clothes were empty and undisturbed and there were hundreds of eyewitnesses after jesus has rose from the dead in first corinthians 15 to 6 where he says he shows himself to 500 at once and most of all the lives of the disciples were changed so we see all of this all of this to abolish any if that would be in the minds of people destroying the idea that we would sit here today and have any debate if there's anything that you've never probably heard of is uh it doesn't matter what denomination you are no matter what school classroom you walk into ain't going to be debating the resurrection we might be debating the trinity we might be debating this or that do i be am i supposed to be baptized is there really an evidence of being you might have some people that'll argue some things but young people if you ever get in a classroom with somebody that's denying that there's a god ask them say hey well how do you feel about the resurrection because there is no arguing there is nobody it doesn't matter who you are you can't argue with the fact that every single aspect points to the fact that he got up and it really makes sense that this is the most attended church day all across america because nobody can argue with easter nobody can argue with sunday morning that the tomb was empty and i st we can argue with a lot of things but one thing some people will try to argue this and dispute that but if he got up then it validates a lot of things if he got up then that's why you see paul refers to it all the time if then because watch he writes in first corinthians 15 13. look at this with me i want you to see it on the screen but if there be no resurrection of the dead then is christ not risen and if christ be not risen there's our opening text then as our preaching vein and your faith is also then vain yea and we are found false witnesses of god because we have testified of god that he raised up christ whom he raised not up if so be the dead rise not for if the dead rise not then is not christ raised and if christ be not raised your faith is in vain and you are yet in your sins then they also which are fallen asleep in christ are perished and if here we see it again in this life only we have hope in christ we are of all men most miserable but now is christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept if then on this resurrection sunday evening somebody needs to get the the revelation revelation of this resurrection if he rose from the dead then all this is true if he rose from the dead then i can have life more abundantly if he rose from the dead then i've already he's already carried covered and conquered anything we're dealing with in this room tonight if he rose from the dead most of all most of all we could go on and on and on and on with that but if he rose from the dead which is which is unmistakably a fact so if he rose from the dead so many things are true from cover to cover but most of all the thing that they crucified him for is true for claiming to be god so most of all that if he rose from the dead then he is who he said he was if if he rose from the dead he is god in flesh he is the king of kings if he rose from the dead he is alpha he is omega he is the everlasting father if he rose from the dead it is amazing to me to see that he left a trail for people to hopefully kind of as as the new age would say to kind of pick up what i'm putting down destroy this temple and in three days i'm going to raise it up it's like it's like leaving a trail for the dog to follow you inside you know just kind of leaving some things behind and for some reason i think one of the people that knew just was kind of new more than anybody might have been pilate he said you make it sure as you can because i believe we could go to all costs but there's something different about this man because he says if he got up then you can get up if i got up if christ was risen then we can rise colossians 3 verses 1 through 4 look at this if ye then be risen with christ seek those things which are above where christ sitteth on the right hand of god set your affections on things above and not on things on the earth for ye are dead and your life is hid with christ in god when christ who is our life shall appear then he also appear with him in glory now this gets so powerful because this if and then begins to throw this uh kind of see-saw back and forth and the theological states statements would be this that christ died for us as a substitution we died with christ in identification christ died for us being the penalty of sin christ died unto sin breaking its power and we obtain it all because we are in christ through salvation that's what he just said there in colossians i would have to say it like this this evening on this easter evening that that easter today celebrates that not just christ got up but i got up with him through my obedience of the gospel in repentance baptism and the receiving of the holy ghost i now identify with christ through his death his burial and his resurrection and what better sunday in all the year than for somebody to follow the steps that if he died and if he was buried and if he rose again then i should repent and be baptized in the name of jesus for the remission of my sins and receive ye the gift of the holy ghost how can you argue with that how can you argue with if he died and was buried and rose again then i that's what that's what he said in colossians how do you get any other doctrine it makes sense that just the chapter before he says in colossians 2 and 9 for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily verse 12 says buried with him in baptism wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of god who hath raised him from the dead if his resurrection's true then you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh hath quickened together with him having forgiveness of all trespasses blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us which was contrary to us and took it out of the way nailing it to the cross and having this is where it gets good try to hold yourself together right here all right because pilate made it made it sure he made it as sure as it ain't even even it says it had had the adversary known brother tyler they wouldn't have done it but look at the way they worded in colossians and having spoiled having spoiled all the precautions having spoiled all the principalities and powers and the roman government the government he made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it why because it's all in him three steps death burial and resurrection repentance baptism in jesus name and the infilling of the holy ghost if he got up he's a father he's a son he's the holy ghost because it's i'm here to tell somebody tonight that you might be trying to play this thing out in your mind but if you believe that he rose from the dead you ought to get that water tonight it'd be bad if you hadn't had the holy ghost in a while you want to let cause if he got up you can argue all day long with me about other doctrinal things you might be able to pull something out of context you might to be be able to not truly rightly divide the word of god but one thing's he got up and if that's true there's nothing else my god now that we've established that i hope that's clear resurrection brought forth a lot of things pilate made it as sure as he could but even mary magdalene mary the mother of james walks up in matthew i'm sorry in mark chapter 16 and verse number four says and they said among themselves who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre and when they looked they saw the stone was rolled away for it was very great so even mary and mary walked up and thought on the way it's kind of like some of the projects i get into brother and amy i get like halfway into it i realize how am i going to do this you know i've got the spices i've got the things that i need to give jesus a proper this but i've i'm halfway there and i realize two women ain't gonna move a two ton stone right but what doesn't doesn't that concept just in logic just kind of play out too isn't that how god works we often worry about something that's already been taken care of we often are trying to figure out how to roll things away that jesus has already moved right i want to serve the lord but this and that and what about my family and what about my job what about this what about everybody you see you're walking on the way to something and god's already moved it out of the way there's somebody in this house tonight that you're sitting here on resurrection sunday evening already worried about something on monday morning oh the devil's already got you in the next week worried about a paycheck worried about a situation worried about what tomorrow's going gonna hold am i gonna get to the restaurant in time before they shut you're worried about things that he's already rolled but the main fact there is that it was really great it was big and it it to them they didn't know how they were going to move it but it was a rolling stone and there's something about the stone that's very different from any other tomb in fact from historical evidence they they haven't found but six of these in archaeological finds of tombs that we see in a depicted photo or or a painting of this tomb with this rolling stone it was very rare you might run into a stone that skips or you might even i used to as a kid like to try to find air heads not ear heads arrow heads is that right both will work blue preferably but arrowheads you know we find those things you might find some of that you might luck up on i know there's some people in the church they like to take the metal detectors and go out fine so if you might find something you're going to run on we're going to run into a two-ton rolling stone all right just ain't out there hanging out you see we begin to study this very rare stone joseph of arimatheas was not just any man he was a very wealthy man in fact this proves that isaiah 53 and 9 says he kind of speaks foreshadowing that joseph was going to play a part in not just his birth but a man named joseph was going to play a part in his burial verse number 9 of isaiah 53 says and he made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death because he had done no violence neither was any deceit in his mouth joseph of arimatheas was not a carpenter he wasn't like joseph his earthly father joseph of arimatheas was wealthy and it's very rare to find this tombstone because uh if you you go to look at most tombs they had what was what was considered a plug a tomb plug they would just push it in place and almost like a plug-in that would go into the opening but this very rare rolling stone had been hewed and had been chiseled out and made to roll because they wanted it to open and close they wanted to be able to come in and take care of that person and and make sure that they had the proper burial and that their body was preserved as long as it could be in it it wasn't just left in there and there they wanted to make sure it was sealed correctly that no animals or anything like that could get in because it was built for those of reverence it was built for those of honor it was built for kings so he may have came in a lowly manger but i'm here to tell somebody tonight that he was buried he had a rolling stone though mocked and mauled and beaten and pierced and hung with thieves and died in open shame he was buried like a king matthew 28 and 1 tells us a little bit more about joseph's tomb that jesus borrowed for a few days since in the end of the sabbath as it began dawn toward the first day of the week came mary magdalene and the other mary to see the sepulcher and behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of the lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it his countenance was as lightning and his raiment white as snow and for fear of him of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men and the angels answered and said unto women fear not ye for i know you seek jesus which was crucified for he is not here for he has risen and he said come see the place where the lord lay and go quickly and tell the disciples that he has risen from the dead and behold he goeth before you into galilee there shall you see him lo have i told you now we must see there's so many interesting things happening right here because this rolling stone is so powerful it gives some powerful evidence of what we know it's already been affirmed that the resurrection is true that after all he didn't need a stone to move for him to get out because he was already gone he rolled the stone away so that we could come in because he says come in see where he once laid so the earth shook and the stone rolled the angel of the lord didn't choose just anywhere to sit where'd he said he set on the stone and so take note that a heavenly thing says on the rolling stone as the earth trembles and it destroys the thing trying to keep them from jesus see this so the earth shook the stone rolled and the angels set up on it so when the the stone begins to roll and things begin to happen we see that it broke the seal and not just any seal it broke the roman seal but the rolling stone it it it began to do some things and and we see that rolling stone was that of a king and that rolling stone shook the earth that rolling stone brought down a message from heaven that he is not here that he is risen the rolling stone began life everlasting the rolling stone broke the roman government and established a heavenly kingdom on this earth for the rolling stones started some things for we christians what started that day i want to declare tonight is still rolling today it's a circle it's unbroken there's no corners to cut it has no ending it continues on today in our lives joshua 5 and 9 says in the lord said unto joshua this day have i rolled away the reproach of egypt from off of you i'm here to tell somebody as the voice of the lord tonight that this night that this easter sunday you can roll away some reproach from your life i'm here to tell you that he's still a rolling stone you say well i was buried in baptism many years ago see i was filled with the holy ghost many years ago and and i i maybe you haven't gotten in a while or maybe some that i've had some bible studies before and people wonder should i get re-baptized i've done so many things i've backslidden since then i was baptized when i was seven at vacation bible school and i have done so many things i've been in and out of jail i've been divorced i've had this happen i've had that happen turmoil and life and then of a sudden i've come back to god maybe maybe maybe that that that's you today and you've had even some things where the devil challenges your mind and say hey you were baptized and and you had that resurrection where they declared the name over your life for the remission of sins but you've done some things since then i want to clarify some things that that the stone is still rolling it's that initial process of getting in him that death burial and resurrection of repentance being baptized in jesus name and receiving the gift of the holy ghost that we all must obey in order to make it to heaven but you know that rolling stone looks a lot like mark 16-1 says and when the sabbath was passed and mary magdalene and mary the mother of james and shalom had brought sweet spices that they might come and anoint him at very early in the morning the first day of the week and they came to the sepulchre and i don't believe this is at all a coincidence at the rising at the rising of the sun now if there's anything in the world that looks like a tomb opening it would have to be that perfect sunrise that's coming up over the horizon so i would like to declare to somebody tonight that the devil's tried to beat you up and tell you that you're not good enough and you've made too many mistakes and you were baptized or you were touched by god many years ago but god said that his mercies were new this morning and god said that when he rolled the stone back it wasn't just for a one-time experience at that every morning as the sun comes up it's to remind you that there's a rolling stone it's to remind you that there's a risen savior it's to remind you that every day that i'm able to breathe god's air that i'm able to come on i hope that encourages somebody because if he rose from the dead then that sunrise means so much more to you and i there's a rolling stone he wants to resurrect something in you today every day it's not that far we sing about it all the time i ran out of that grave get up get up get up oh i mean i feel like every song nowadays about us getting up but when you're in reality that's a really struggle everybody got up this morning we were singing it but who's gonna get up tomorrow who's going to come out of the grave tomorrow because god forbid the sun rise and the stone roll and we lay dead in our trespasses i want you to see that so clear tonight that the grave is open come and see but don't stay because it was never the will he says why seek you the living among the dead how many people i believe they come to the house of god it's just like walking in a grave look around yep he rose but there's more to that every single day and i just think of the commercial it's so easy a caveman can do it we've got some that just live in the grave right they acknowledge that there's a god they acknowledge that in him dwells all the fullness of the godhead i believe he got up those are his grave clothes there's a napkin laying there he was here he is not here angel shook the ground he's sitting on the i believe the stone even rolls away and it wakes me up every morning but i'm in the tomb looking at the sunrise and i never get out of this same old thing the same old dilemma the same old problems i just keep running into the same old issues i'm here to declare to somebody tonight that he rolled the stone away so you could experience him so that you could get up and get out of the grave because if he rose from the dead then anything's possible in this place tonight i want the musicians to come and as they make their way and you all can come come quickly you don't i know how it is as a musician you feel like you got to sneak up here and tiptoe just run just whatever you want to do if you turn in your bibles tonight you turn over in the book of matthew and we don't have to do a sword drill but if you look at matthew and you kind of thumb over in mark if you're not careful you'll get into luke and young people if you keep turning you'll get into john now when you get to john there's a pause when you look at the heading over it it's the gospel of matthew the gospel of mark the gospel of luke and the gospel of john now after john comes acts and what we refer to as pentecostals as acts being a bridge because for some reason after that book of acts then we start writing to the church there was no church prior to but now all of a sudden there's a church so something in this book of acts we know right birthed the church so now we're riding to the church at corinth and the church at ephesus and the church here in the church there until we get to john's revelation and some of those things in the very end so if we rightly divide the word of truth then the end of the gospel is the beginning of acts so when the stone rolls what would seem like the end of good news is where action begins now see this with me the stone keeps right on rolling out of john into the book of acts and then peter said unto them repent why because he died be married in jesus name for the remission of your sins why because he was buried and be filled with the gift of the holy ghost for this promise is unto you and to your children and all that are far off as many as the lord our god shall call why because if he got up then peter could preach if he hadn't got up preaching if he hadn't got up our preacher he would have been a denier right so the end of the good news is the beginning of action so since it cost god so much to purchase the church surely to god we could act like it as an old preacher would say surely we could act like it huh since i'm an overcomer through the blood of the lamb surely tonight i could act like it since he's worthy of my praise surely to god a church that was birthed on the day of pentecost could stand before god who got up on the third day and act like it tonight because the end the end of the church is not at the end of the gospel there's still a rolling of the stone it's so powerful to see here that we've we've got to put into action because if easter tells me anything hear me church if easter tells me anything please hear this it's the best thing i got tonight if easter tells me anything it's that if you put truth in a grave if you put truth in a grave you better know you're not doing nothing but planting because you're not burying it because it's going to come back up you know what the last words of acts are in its original language is aculotos which means unhindered unstoppable and i just can't help but think that when that stone was shaken and that stone was rolled away by the cave that all of a sudden it's like a downhill slope did it come and it hit the day of pentecost like a russian mighty wind come on for just a moment before they start singing i wonder if there's somebody they could just praise god for just a moment just because of the if come on just because of the earth before we open these altars just because he got up now what could happen here is this could change the atmosphere but it shouldn't now i want you to hear me you're up here with me and that's where i want you to stay because i feel like that's the way the lord wants us to end today on an easter resurrection sunday but there's an unusual footnote in your bible that the only time that easter is ever mentioned is in acts chapter 12 and verse number four it says that when they had apprehended him he put him in prison and delivered him to the four quadrants of the soldiers to keep him intending after easter intending that after easter he would bring him before the people now let me show you the context of this real quick and i'm going to let you go herod was about to kill peter and he says brother paul let's wait i'm going to go to easter service down at first apostolic church and we're gonna celebrate the risen savior because he got up i know that for a fact you can't argue i'm gonna go celebrate easter but here's the problem with herod he came to easter service walked right back out the doors and went and killed the man with the keys uriah just got the holy ghost and you want to know why he got the holy ghost is because a few weeks ago he was buried oh i feel him doing it now if you feel bad why don't you step out of your seat and let the lord pick you up out of that grave come on the lord is in this place come on if he got up you can get up tonight come on he got up this is and that was this is on saturdays i believe another miracle here in this room oh foreign hello come on let's pray for matthew millsaps right now he's made a decision to go down in the grave he's going to come back out of the grave tonight let's pray father in jesus name i thank you for matthew lord i'm thankful for the decision he is making right now lord god to go down in the water in your name jesus for the remission of his sins i believe he's going to come up out of the grave he's gonna come up out of this water speaking in another tongue in jesus name lord you're gonna change his life forever on easter sunday night hey come up the grave matthew bill steps upon the profession of your faith in obedience the word of god i now indeed baptize you in the name of the lord jesus christ for the remission of your sins and the bible says that ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost in chief drive home oh this is surely it was true possible this is resurrection power running is travelling if god says oh is there anybody else in this place that feels our need to be baptized in the name of jesus christ we have water we have a change of clothes we have everything you need to be baptized tonight church could we just right now there's people praying across the auditorium could we lift our hands as high as we can come on cause if he did it for you then he can do it for the person across the room come on if he brought you out he can bring that come on right now believe could we get in one mind and one accord right now because i just believe there's a few more people that want to leave this resurrection sunday
