Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Jacob the deceiver, and a God who tunes the spirit first

  • Jacob — his very name means deceiver — struggled with Esau from the womb, grabbed his brother's heel, bought the birthright, and tricked his blind father out of the blessing.
  • On the run he meets God at Bethel, and God tunes his spirit before asking anything of him: God never changes our actions until He changes our spirit first.
  • The warning against forcing the promise: Abraham and Sarah couldn't wait, and Hagar's pregnancy brought trouble into the land. God's timing is not our timeline.

Laban's land: wages changed ten times

  • In Laban's house Jacob falls in love with Rachel, works seven years, gets Leah, works seven more, gets Rachel — and Laban, a deceiver himself, hires the gifted young man 'on staff' to serve Laban's own purpose.
  • The text: 'Your father hath deceived me and changed my wages ten times. But God suffered him not to hurt me.' Every time Laban changed the deal, God turned the flocks — speckled, then ringstraked — to Jacob.
  • To the young people: changed wages are God's disconnect — if He hadn't changed them, you would have died in Laban's land. In the season of loss Jacob gained everything back.

Scriptures: Genesis 31:7

His testimony: a daughter born at 29 weeks

  • Bounds tells of his own daughter: no movement felt, an emergency cesarean at 29 weeks, no heartbeat found, a limp body on the warmer — against the word God had spoken to him and his wife before they married: their first child would be a girl, and 'she's going to be perfect.'
  • He speaks life into her ear in the operating room; in the NICU a nurse tells him she dreamed the words 'Put oil in your lamp,' felt an unshakeable urgency to pray for the baby in the name of Jesus, and saw an angel standing behind her bed — an angel Brother Jean had also seen, behind Bounds himself.
  • The lesson he draws: the Lord tunes our spirit. She is 17 tonight, playing keys at a youth camp in Ohio.

Mizpah: leave yesterday's pain where it is

  • At Mizpah, Jacob and Laban set up the heap of stones: 'The Lord watch between me and thee.' Bounds calls the night a Mizpah night — a covenant to leave yesterday's wound, pain, and frustration behind.
  • You can leave Laban's land physically while it stays in your head; but Laban's land only made you stronger, more resilient, more dependent on God.

Jabbok: a new name, a limp, and a brother's embrace

  • Jacob wrestles all night at the brook Jabbok — 'I will not let you go unless you bless me' — confesses his name, receives a new one, and walks out limping yet free: you can look like you've been done wrong and still walk out straight in your spirit.
  • The deceiver's craft was generational — Rebekah coached the deception — but God changed Jacob's name to Israel, and the brother he feared ran to embrace him.
  • The close: get your spirit right — it is how you view God, people, and yourself — and the whole room is led in partner prayer and a prayer line: 'I'm coming out of the wound. I'm coming out of the pain. I'm coming out of this season of loss and change of wages.'

Scripture index: Genesis 31:7.

Amen. Amen. I want to turn to the word of the Lord tonight to the book of Genesis, chapter 31. Genesis 31 and verse 7. I give honor to your superintendent, Bishop Davidson, and his dear wife, for the invitation. I give honor to your elders tonight, and to the elders of the faith that are among us. I give honor to that evangelist Sammy [Sherrill?] and his dear wife that are mid-service. I give honor to my beautiful wife, Sister [Cynthia], tonight. She's a miracle. I'm so proud of who she is and what God's doing in her life. And I honor you, saints and guests and visitors. Would you remain standing?

"But your father hath deceived me and changed my wages ten times. But God suffered him not to hurt me."

I'd like to preach tonight, just for the next little bit, if you would help me preach. Would you lift your voices right now and declare the word? I'd like to preach on: I've been done wrong. Somebody say it with me: I've been done wrong. Shout it with authority: I've been done wrong!

Would you lift your hands right now and ask God to help me preach the Word of God? Father, I ask in the name of Jesus that You let a revelation of Your Word come alive in our spirits tonight. In Jesus' name we pray. You may be seated.

I've been done wrong. Could you imagine with me tonight Jacob, the supplanter? That word actually means "a deceiver." He was, from birth, a deceiver. In fact, the name Jacob even means "deceiver." Could you imagine that every time you checked into a hotel, you gave them your name and they said, "Oh, Deceiver, can we help you?" Every time you checked into a restaurant and they called your name: "Deceiver, party of four. Deceiver, come on, Deceiver." Even when he was born, the name he was given was Jacob — he was called Jacob, a supplanter, a deceiver, a trickster. That is how he was known.

It all started before they were born. In the womb of Rebekah, Isaac's wife, there was a struggle that was going on in the womb. It was so bad that she went to inquire of the Lord. She said, "Why am I thus?" I hear mothers say sometimes, "I don't know why my kids act like that." Let me tell you something: it starts in the womb. There's a struggle going on between two nations. From the very seed stage of Jacob and Esau, there was this big struggle that was going on, and deception was among it.

And when they were born, the first one out was Esau. And as he was coming out, Jacob grabbed the heel of his older brother and pulled him back in. He was already, in the womb, trying to deceive his brother and get ahead. And he was born trying to trick his way into promotion. For somebody here tonight, you didn't just start trying to deceive people when you got old. It started in the seed stage of your life. And for Jacob, everything began when he was born a deceiver.

And he goes and he buys the birthright from his brother because of deception. He tricks his father on his deathbed, blind nearly, and he walks out of there with his blessing. Hallelujah. And he's about to face his greatest test, and when he does, he's on the run. God — He's so happy with him. He tricks his own dad, and God says, "I still want to talk to you." So when Jacob takes out on the run, he runs into a place called Bethel. And at Bethel, the Lord gives him a dream. And at Bethel, the Lord tunes his spirit — because God doesn't ask him to change; God changes his spirit first.

Can I just tell you something early in the message? God never asked us to change our actions until He changes our spirit first. God always gets our heart in tune before He asks us to act right. But the problem is, most of us are living on a timeline, and we're waiting on God, who doesn't live on a timeline. And when He talks to Jacob, He says, "Here's the plan. You're going to be blessed; you're going to inherit, inherit, inherit." And Jacob says, "Sounds great to me."

Let me just say this to you tonight: don't take God's promises and try to make them happen on your own. That's where Abraham messed up and nearly lost everything. Abraham couldn't wait on God's direction, and he got Hagar pregnant and brought all kinds of trouble into the land. That is what happens when God says, "I'm going to do it," and you say, "I'm going to help Him." Don't you ever think about helping God. Some of you are trying to make it happen. I feel some of you trying to get a boyfriend and saying, "God, You need to help me with my boyfriend right now." And some of you are trying all these spiritual tricks; you try to get the attention of the Lord, and He says, "I already know your name. I know who you are. I've already given you the promise. I just want you to be patient and wait on Me."

What Abraham should have done — what Sarah should have done — how about this: Sarah should have looked at Abraham and said, "Too old. Not happening." And Abraham should have said, "That's right. Way too old." But instead they said, "It's got to happen." But their timing wasn't God's timing. And Jacob made up his mind: "I'm not going to make it happen on my own. I am going to get up and follow the Lord."

He finds himself walking into Laban's land. Laban is the very brother of Rebekah, Jacob's mother. And when he gets there — you know the story: he fell in love with Rachel, worked seven years, gets Leah; if you want to read it, it's Genesis 29. He gets Leah, he works seven more years, gets Rachel. And Laban is a deceiver as well. And Laban sees this young man has gifts, this young man has talents, this young man has favor on his life. And Laban says, "I think I'll use him for my benefit." Laban begins to hire him as staff — and I'll just use the word, all of you preachers understand — Laban says, "Look, Jacob, there's a staff position for you. Come here, I want to hire you." And he begins to work for Laban, and he begins to fall into the trap. And he's in Laban's land. And God says, "This was never the plan. It was never My plan for you to stay on staff at Laban's house."

That's what happens in this generation. The enemy tries to stop your purpose by taking you into deception land, so that all you'll ever do is serve somebody else's purpose. And Jacob is there, and Laban says, "This guy's more gifted than I am." Some of you: your family says, "That guy's got something on him. That girl's got something on them." And Laban begins to change Jacob's wages. He begins to cut him. He begins to take away his salary. He begins to take advantage of Jacob. And Jacob said, "I've been done wrong."

Can I say to the young people in this service tonight: that's when you know you're on your way. That is when you know something's about to happen. Because God begins to disconnect you from where you are, and He says, "You ain't got nothing in this man's land." God begins to change your wages, and He begins to disconnect. And he changed his wages ten times. Can you imagine that? Off and on, moving things. Some of you: "I'm going to give it to you — no, I'm not." And everything was going wrong. But God says, "Jacob, it's time to get up and get out of this place."

I love what Jacob humbly said at this moment. He said, "I got a word from the Lord: I'm not supposed to be here." And he says, "You know what, Laban? You're always changing my wages. You're doing me wrong. But God never suffered you to actually hurt me. You didn't really hurt me. Because when you changed my wages, God is the One that sent the cattle to me that had the ringstraked and speckled. God is the One that made it happen."

And about that time, he's about to leave Laban's land. And this is what I feel in the Holy Ghost tonight. There are people in this room — you just need to stand to your feet and say, "I'm coming out of Laban's land." Smack your neighbor and say, "I'm coming out of Laban land." Look at your other neighbor — second choice — and say, "I'm coming out of Laban's land." Give me about 10 seconds and let's clap our hands and give Him some praise.

Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I don't know if you realize it, but God is celebrating that you're coming out, because you are His choice generation. God could have chosen anybody else, but He chose you. And there are people in this room tonight — if it hadn't been for God changing your wages, you would have died in Laban's land. But since He changed the wages, you just might get up and walk out of there. Sit down.

Watch this. Jacob said, "God never suffered him to hurt me." He said, "When you changed my wages, God had a way of doing it." When Jacob said, "Hide this speckled cattle; let them be my hire," and all the speckles were taken away one day, and then those speckled cattle come out one day and they're giving birth to speckled babies — and God said, "All the speckled belong to you." So Laban changed it again. And God said, "Well, when they open up and come out, they're going to have rings on them." And God said, "That all belongs to Jacob."

God told Jacob in a very simple way: "This is how you became wealthy in Laban's land." This is for every young person tonight: God put Jacob in a place where he had to lose everything, and when he lost everything, he gained everything back. And when he left Laban's land, he began the journey that would change the world. Oh, I need somebody that understands what I'm preaching about tonight. You don't have no idea what God's able to do. And you don't know when God's about to take the thing you've prayed for and turn everything around in your favor. And all of a sudden, I need somebody to shout it in this room tonight — because if tonight you could realize what God's about to do — praise team, singers, musicians, come back to the platform. I want you to get yourself in position, because God's about to move in this room tonight. God's going to stir up the deep promises in this room tonight.

You don't even realize what God is about to do. Some of you are going to leave this conference and put your hand to the plow, and this is the day that you guys are going to take your generation. God doesn't just deal with individuals; God deals with generations. God doesn't just deal with you; God deals with your children and your grandchildren, and on and on and on and on and on in the lineage of the children of Abraham — that's you and I. When God moves, it's generational.

Jacob, who was done wrong ten times, still was able to stand on the Word. He said, "I'm coming back. I'm coming out of this." And he would do so because God doesn't change our actions until He changes our spirit first. God has to tune my spirit first. God has to sing the song.

And for my message tonight, I want to tell you that you have got to protect your spirit. You can't let this world get inside of you and start living in you. You have got to be — and for what I feel for tonight, God has so many people here that have been done wrong, that something is coming out of you. God is changing your action because He's changing your spirit.

My wife, Sister [Cynthia], and I were expecting our little girl. It was supposed to be a happy time. She was pregnant, and she had gone to a boutique one day, and strange enough, she had not felt the baby move. And she told me, and I said, "You need to go to the hospital immediately." And she went to the hospital, and they did an emergency cesarean on her, and we didn't know if really we were about to have a baby or not. She was 29 weeks along in her pregnancy. She was very early. She was like early at 29 weeks. And when they did the C-section, they took her away; they cut her cord; they laid her body down in the warmer; and she wasn't breathing. She was blue. They turned around and they said, "We cannot find a heartbeat." And I was distraught. They said, "We're going to look for the heartbeat one more time." And I began to call on the Lord and cry out in that operating room: "God, I need You." Because the Lord had spoke to me and my wife before we even got married, when we were dating. The Lord spoke to us and said, "The first child you have is going to be a girl. I want you to name her—" He said, "She's going to be perfect. She's going to have some medical issues. She's going to be perfect." Isn't that something? He said it to both of us.

And in that operating room, I said, "Lord, I don't understand. I thought You said she was going to be perfect." And they just kept looking for the heartbeat. They kept looking. She was limp — when they would pick her body up, her arms and legs would just fall down on the warmer, because she didn't have any muscle tone. And they said, "We got to run the epinephrine. We're going to try to find a heartbeat one more time. We're going to try to revive her one more time, but after that we won't go any further."

And in that operating room, something happened in me. I didn't even realize that — I felt something say to me, "Why don't you put meconium on your tongue?" Very strange things. If you've ever been around meconium — the baby's first stool — it can be very dangerous. Somehow in that operating room I got the idea that if I just smeared it on my tongue, then my tongue would speak life. I leaned down in her ear and I called her by name, and I spoke to her life. I spoke to her spirit. I began to talk to her spirit. And the Lord said, "You got to realize, you are a spirit."

She was taken to the NICU. And while she was in the NICU, we saw some amazing things. There was a nurse that clocked in to take care of my daughter. My daughter was in the incubator, and the nurse was so kind. She was like a neonatologist's main nurse. And she came up to me one day and said, "I need to tell you what happened to me last night." And I said, "Oh, tell me what happened." And she said, "I clocked in. When I clocked in, I got to the incubator with your daughter. Her blood pressure was fine. Her heart rate was fine. All of her oxygen levels were fine." And she said, "I went to bed and I began to dream." And this was her account: she said, "The Lord spoke to me, and the Word of God spoke so clearly to me that I'll never forget it. And He said, Put oil in your lamp." That lady didn't know me from Adam.

And I thought to myself, "You know what? She is a saint of God." That lady came to me the next day, and she came to me and she said, "Brother Bounds, I have to talk to you. She impresses me. And I want to pray for your daughter in the name of Jesus." And she said, "When I pray for her, I know that she's going to be okay." But she couldn't figure out why she felt this urgency to pray for my daughter in the name of Jesus. She said she lectures students at the university, and she said, "When I try to lecture on anything, it all comes back to that prayer." She said, "I can't get away from it. It's like I constantly have to go back to it." And she told me before we left the NICU, she said, "I can't explain it, but I really believe in prayer now."

The Lord tunes our spirit. And what I'm learning in life is, we get the way we are because of the spirit realm around us. The Lord tunes our spirit. And before I left the NICU experience with her, I wanted to explain: the nurse said, "I literally saw an angel standing behind your daughter's bed."

I was so moved by that. I came back, and I was just so moved by that. Brother Jean, do you remember? I came back from the NICU, and I was updating my church. And I was like, "Guys, let me tell you the story." And I told Brother Jean — and they said, "I've seen it." Brother Jean spoke up and said, "I saw the exact same angel standing behind you."

And that day I understood: there is a God that hears us in the midst of our Jacob journey. In the midst of hard times, in the midst of frustration, God tunes my spirit. God tunes my spirit to get up and walk, even after Laban's land. Are y'all with me?

And when Jacob gets ready to leave Laban's land, the covenant is made. The covenant is made. And it's at Mizpah, where Laban and Jacob make a covenant together. And he said, "If you mistreat my daughters, may God deal with you." He put up a heap of stones. They named it Mizpah: "And the Lord watch between me and you."

I come to tell you tonight: make a covenant with God tonight that you will leave yesterday's pain where it is. I wish somebody would make a covenant tonight. This is a Mizpah night. You're saying, "I'm not going to let yesterday's wound hurt me anymore. I'm not going to let yesterday's pain bind me anymore. I'm not going to let yesterday's frustration control me." Did you hear me?

And I want to tell you tonight how God erases the effect of Laban. You can leave Laban's land physically, but many of you, Laban's land is in your head. Laban's land has affected you. Every time somebody hurts you, you go back to Laban's land. Every time somebody says something you didn't think was right, you go back to Laban's land. And there's things in your life that have happened that have entrenched you in a season of wage changes and loss. But I'm telling you tonight, Laban's land only made you stronger. Laban's land only made you more resilient. Laban's land only made you more dependent on God. If it weren't for some of the losses you've been through, you wouldn't be sitting in this room tonight. If it weren't for some of the things that have devastated you, you wouldn't have been able to stand in this place tonight and worship God like you do.

I just want you tonight — would you stand to your feet? Standing all over the room. Would you stand to your feet? Oh, this is a historic night. This is a history-making night. This is a church that says, "I'm going somewhere with God. I'm not coming out of here with a wound. I'm coming out of here with a brand new heart."

Brother Urshan always says this: "If He shall come back, then we shall return."

Watch this. There is something that happens when God erases the effect of loss from our life. You see, Jacob didn't lose anything. Serving the Lord brought something back even greater. Watch how God brings the strength that Laban's land produced, and even though Jacob has limitations, they become strengths.

Jacob [feared] meeting Esau on the way home; he divided his family into two bands so that if one was smitten, the other might escape, and he sent droves of cattle ahead to appease his brother — but God had already spoken to Esau. I need you to get this in your spirit tonight. God is working on your spirit right now. It may not be your sword — it could be your spirit. Because God always changes our spirit before He changes our actions. God tunes our spirit to believe Him even if we have to go through seasons of wage changes.

Let me tell you what happened to Jacob. Jacob got real close to the place where he was about to burst out. And he got to the place where God said, "I'm going to deliver you from your past history. I'm going to deliver you from your past memory. I'm going to teach you a lesson that you need to learn." And he crossed the brook Jabbok. And he wrestled with a man all night long until the breaking of the day. He wrestled until the angel said, "Let me go, for the day is breaking." And he said, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." And the angel said, "What is your name?" And he said, "Jacob." And what did the angel say? He said, "I'm going to give you a new name" — an announcement of his new walk with God. And when Jacob walked out of that place, the sun rose on him — but he was walking with a limp.

And I want to tell you tonight: the sinew of his thigh had been touched, and he limped — you can look like you've been done wrong, but you can walk out straight in your spirit. Some of you may have a limp — some of you may walk differently — but you can walk out of here straight in your spirit. You can stand up tall in your spirit. Your spirit can be premium-grade, A-level, top-notch — because God works on the spirit before He works on the body.

I want to say amen to what God's doing here tonight. You've been done wrong. And some of you in this room — ooh, I feel the Lord now — some of you in this room tonight, you've lost so much time in your life. You've lost things that you just never thought you would survive. But you can't dwell on it. You can't live in it. You can't stay in it. Because if you stay in it, you'll never get to the place to where God says, "I want to teach you how to be free." And what's interesting is we are made up of spirit and flesh. Are y'all with me in this room tonight?

And God had to prepare Jacob. Jacob was a master manipulator. Jacob was a master — in fact, he so mastered manipulation. You talk about a mom that manipulates? Jacob's mom was the one that literally designed the program. She said, "I'll do it. I'll get your dad to sign that thing. You just do what I tell you." And she coached him: "Love you, son. Just do everything I tell you. Everything will work out fine." Rebekah was the one that — Jacob learned to be a deceiver from somebody else. And it's generational knowledge. Some of your deception came from generational trials. Some of your deception came because they taught you how to be this way. That's how it works.

Let me get to my message tonight. Let me tell you what Jacob had to do. Jacob had to walk out of those wounds and walk into his brother's love. The next time Jacob saw Esau, do you know what Esau did? He ran to Jacob and he embraced him. Even though Jacob deceived him, stole his birthright, stole his blessing — Esau got up and he ran to Jacob, and he said, "Brother." And Jacob said, "Don't kill me." But Esau said, "It's all right, brother. It's all okay." And he said, "I'm not the same Jacob I was before. I've changed my name. God changed me." What I'm trying to say to you tonight: God changed Jacob's name to Israel. That's why we got to make a covenant. Some of you have been done wrong, and if you would just let God change your name, you could go back and embrace the painful places in your life — and you'll find you're not held by them anymore.

I just wonder, God: some of you are so on the brink of something right now. You're right on the edge of something. I promise you, the next thing you ever do is going to open up the next door. Some of you are in a season of waiting right now. And if you're in a season of waiting, I need to instruct you tonight: you better learn how to look through the spirit. Some of you are in the waiting season. You're like Sarah and Abraham: "Well, it's not going to happen. I'm going to do it myself." Don't you do that. You learn how to wait. God is just tuning your spirit. He's changing your heart. He's changing your mood. He's changing your mind.

Is there anybody in this room that says, "I've been done wrong, but I'm coming out of this"?

You know, I want to tell you tonight, I've got three old ladies in my church that are meaner than junkyard dogs. If you ever come to my church, you'll see them sitting on the back row. They are the meanest three old ladies I know. They keep me straight. They're really tough on me. They're really tough on young preachers, too. They sit on the back row, and they'll correct you. And I remember the day I preached in sweatpants in my pulpit. I preached in sweatpants. I had never preached in sweatpants before, until I walked in that day. And one of those three mean old ladies said, "Preacher, I mean, I just want to tell you something — you're not preaching in sweatpants. You're not preaching in sweatpants in this pulpit." And I said, "Sister, look at my legs." And I lifted my sweatpants up and showed them my brace. I said, "I just got a new brace." I said, "I have on a back brace with a hinge, and I'm getting used to it right now." And those three mean old ladies looked at me with contempt — they had judged my garments and not my heart.

I want to tell you tonight: there are people that are going to judge your garments and not see your heart. And God says, "I'm tuning you. I'm keeping you. I'm holding you." Because God doesn't look on your garments. God looks on your heart. You better get your heart right. You better get your heart right. You better get your heart filled with what God wants you to have. Don't you go another year in your life just checking in and checking out with horrible failure in your life. You got to get it on the inside so that it can show up on the outside.

Some of you right now, you've got to get yourself in a position to where you can say, "I'm not going to be bound by this anymore. I'm not going to let this thing stay on me anymore. I'm done with it. I'm moving forward. I've got a brand new way." Is there anybody in this room that says, "I've been done wrong, but I want to come out of this"?

I made up my mind: "I'm not going to take another thought of this. I'm not going to let them live in my head anymore. I'm not going to let them control my heart anymore."

Would you lift your hands right now and say, "God's tuning my spirit"? I said, "God's tuning my spirit." One more time: "God's changing my spirit." Would you lift your voice right now? Lift your voice. Everybody lift your voice right now. Would you do that? Jesus.

I feel so endeared to a generation that is willing to let God tune their spirit tonight. Come on. God's tuning your spirit tonight. God's getting your spirit ready. I got offended — I got upset with my brother in Christ — and I wonder: I got so many people looking at me thinking everything is perfect in my life. If you only knew the wrestling matches that I've been in in my life. If you only knew the internal conflicts I've been in in my life. Oh, I need somebody that's had a little wrestling match tonight. I need somebody that's been in the wrestling of your life. Oh, I got to get my spirit right. It is a battle. It is a wrestle. And some of you have been wrestling, and you're like Jacob, and you're losing faith. And some of you in this room are losing faith. And I want you to know something tonight: God is right here. And God is healing wounds. And God is delivering spirits. And God is giving you new strength. And God is giving you a new anointing. And God is giving you a new power.

How many of you are so thankful for the power of God in your life? See, let me just say amen to this. I want to tell you: if you don't get your spirit right, you won't go to heaven. That's how serious it is. Your spirit is how you view God; your spirit is how you view people; your spirit is how you view yourself. And if your spirit is off, your life will be off. And there are people that are walking around with broken spirits, and they're not getting through this life right. You got to get your spirit right before you leave this place tonight. I'm telling you right now, you got to get your spirit right before you leave this place tonight.

Now listen to me very closely where we're going to go tonight. I'm going to pray with some people, and I'm going to walk around. I'm going to ask some of you that are leaders to come. I want ministers to come. I want all the leaders in this service to come. I'm going to pray for you. I feel a release from God that tonight is the night that some of you come out of your wound. Tonight's the night that you come out of your pain. Tonight's the night God pours healing in this place.

I'm challenging you tonight. I'm going to go in a prayer line. And I'm going to ask some of you to pray with me. Some of you — when I pass by, you'll know. Let me tell some of you something: when I pass by you, you're going to know it right away. When I pass by you, something is going to go all over you. You know why? Because I've got an anointing to deliver you from where you are. I'm not saying it in a boastful way. I'm just saying, God gave me a job to do. And if I pass by you tonight, something's going to come on you. Something you can't shake off.

Let me tell you how this works. We're going to pray together. Stand up on your feet if you want prayer. If you want to come out of your wound, stand up. And I'm telling you, when we pray, I'm not rushing you. Keep your spirit right. Don't rush this. Don't you rush through this.

I'm going to ask you to stay in the Spirit. Is anybody here tonight — you want to find freedom in your spirit? Ah, this is key. This is the night. Now hold on. Everybody stand to your feet. Now I want you to pair up — partner up with somebody around you. Find somebody. Listen to me: I want you to pray for your partner right now. I want you to pray for their spirit. I want you to pray for their freedom. I want you to pray for their healing. I want you to pray for their release. I want you to pray for their deliverance. I want you to pray for their heart. I want you to intercede. I want somebody in this house to intercede like you've never interceded before.

Come on, come on. Would you pray out loud with them? Pray out loud with them. I need you to pray out loud with them. Don't be silent. Don't you be silent. I want you to pray right now over your friend, over your partner. Let me encourage somebody. Come on. We are the church. We are the body. Put your hand on your neighbor right now and begin to pray out loud for him.

I want you to intercede for your friend right now. Pray like it depends on you. Pray like it's your own battle. Pray like it's your own wound. Pray like it's your own freedom. Do it now. Do it now. Come on, pray out loud, everybody. Pray out loud, everybody. Don't sit down. Don't sit down. I want you to pray out loud for your friend. If they got a wound, pray for them. If they got a pain, pray for them. If they got a discomfort, pray for them. Anoint them with your words. Anoint them with your prayers. Anoint them with your love. Anoint them with the power of the Holy Ghost. It's not just for the preacher; it's for the whole body. The whole body is the anointed. The whole body is the church. The whole body is the bride. Pray for your friend right now. Come on, lift up your voice and pray for your friend.

Pray for the broken places. Pray for the devastated places. Pray for the destroyed places. For the desperate places. For the silent places. For the abandoned places. For the places nobody knows about. Pray for those places nobody knows about. Pray right now. Find words that reach that place. Find words that root out that place. Pray for the broken places. Pray for it.

And I say in the name of Jesus: I command you, fear, to loose your hold. I command you, shame, to loose your hold. I command you, intimidation, to loose your hold. I command you, rejection, to loose your hold. I command you, affliction, to loose your hold. In the name of Jesus, I command you, spirit of heaviness, to loose your hold. I command you, spirit of grief, to loose your hold. I command you, spirit of confusion, to loose your hold. I command you, spirit of suicidal thoughts, to loose your hold. Jesus, Jesus.

I want the ministers to line up on this platform, please. I'm going to ask you to form two rows. I'm going to ask this whole congregation to walk through these two rows. And we're all going to pray together. We're going to line the platform, and you're going to walk through, and we're going to pray for you. I want you to walk through this line and receive freedom in your spirit. You don't need to stop. You don't need to tarry. Just keep walking through. We're going to pray for the whole room. Everybody stand. Everybody stand. God's tuning your spirit tonight. He's changing your spirit. He's renewing your spirit. He's strengthening your spirit.

Step out right now and come. Step out right now and come. Step out right now and come. Step out right now and come. Step out right now and come. We're going to fill this platform quickly. Ministers, come on to the platform. Come on, we're going to build two lines. You're going to receive a brand-new freedom tonight. God's going to set you free tonight. God's going to break things off your life. You're coming out of the wound. You're coming out of the pain. You're coming out of the brokenness. You're coming out of the devastation. You're coming out of the destruction. You're coming out of the disgrace. You're coming out of the despair. You're coming out of Laban's land. You're coming out. You're coming out. You're coming out.

Come on, come on. Right now, step out. Step out right now. Come on, step out of your chair. There's an aisle. Find an aisle. Walk up here. We're going to pray for you. God's going to set you free tonight. You don't have to walk through here tonight; you're free to go. But if you want to be free, you walk through here. You walk through here with your hands lifted. You walk through here focused. You walk through here ready. You walk through here believing God. When you leave this place tonight, nobody is going to know that you're wounded.

Do you know what God said? "I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten, and the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm." He said, "I'll restore all the years." I got something. I got the answer. I'm telling you, I can see it. I can see it. I can see it. There's somebody in this room tonight. I can see it. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. You got to step into it. You got to step into it. You got to press. You got to press. You got to press. Come on, come on, come on. Come on, that's it. That's it. You're getting it. You're getting it. You're getting it.

I'm not going to be chained by this. I'm not going to be bound by this. I'm not going to be held by this. I'm not going to be stuck by this. I'm not going to be stopped by this. I'm not going to be wounded by this. I'm not going to be wounded by this. I'm not going to be wounded by this. I'm not going to be wounded by this. Lift your hands and say it: "I'm not going to be wounded by this." Say it like you mean it: "I'm not going to be wounded by this."

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land — their bodies, heal their hearts, heal their minds, heal their families, heal their prodigals, heal their children, heal their churches. If my people!

Let's all lift our hands in this place and declare it together. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost.

Go ahead, form a line. Walk through this line. Walk through this line. Come on, leaders. Come on, leaders. Come on, come on, come on. We got people coming. We got people coming. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.

All of you that are in the chairs — come on, I want you to step out and go find somebody. I want you to step out and go find somebody. Everyone in this room, if you're in a chair, step out. Go find somebody. Pray with somebody. Come on, come on. I want to close this tonight. I want everybody in this room to be praying for somebody. Everybody. Everybody. Find somebody to pray with. Find somebody to pray with. Find somebody to pray with. Pray for them. Pray for them. Pray for them. Come on, come on, come on. Pray for them. Pray for them. Pray for them. Pray for them. Pray for them. Pray for them.

Why don't you get somebody by the hand and say, "Let's go pray together"? Hallelujah. Jesus. Come on. I'm coming out of the wound. I'm coming out of the pain. I'm coming out of this season of loss and change of wages.
