Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Kodak Discounted the Disruption
- A disruptor is a person or business who challenges the preconceived idea of how things should be done; Kodak — 140,000 employees at its height, the fourth most valuable brand in America in 1996, owner of the 'Kodak moment' — invented the digital camera and shelved it to protect its film business.
- Denial, then mockery of digital, then discounting the inventors working out of garages; four years after the iPhone arrived, Kodak filed for bankruptcy, crushed by the disruption it had held in its own hands.
A Mustard Seed of a Kingdom
- Jesus' parable: the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, the least of all seeds, which grows greater than the herbs and becomes a tree the birds of the air nest in; the kingdom is already here and already working, and is easily dismissed for its humble beginnings.
- They crucified Him and thought it was over; three days later He rose, ascended, and poured out the Holy Ghost, and 3,000 were added to the church in a day — 'I'm just getting started.'
Scriptures: Matthew 13
Stumbling Block, Foolishness, World Upside Down
- The church disrupted everywhere it went, until its enemies cried that the apostles had 'turned the world upside down'; yet the cross itself was a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Greeks — the two peoples who should have embraced Him missed their Messiah because He did not come as they expected.
- Do not underestimate what God can do with you: He takes fishermen and makes them apostles, took his mother from poverty and a father in prison into a lifetime of ministry, and took his father from addiction and drug use to the Holy Ghost, church planting and pastoring.
Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 1:23; Acts 17
'Is That All I Can Do?'
- From 2013 to 2016 his son was born with a severe club foot and two surgeries, nearly died from a mis-prescribed dose of morphine, and survived two anaphylactic reactions; his wife's thyroid shut down, and then she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and faced a hysterectomy and the end of their plan for more children.
- Praying 'God, let the bad stuff stop' in his basement, he was disrupted mid-prayer: 'Is that all I can do? Am I not creator? Can I not restore all that is lost?' Within a day, two people carried them the same word: elevate your faith; God can do more.
- A second cancer was found in her thyroid, and they changed their prayer to 'God, freak out the doctors'; at the biopsy appointment on March 7, 2017 the lesions were gone and the surgeon closed the case: cancer free. He testifies with the same faith over his father's ALS.
Release Your Faith
- What if the outlandish thoughts stumbled over in hurried prayer are not yours at all, but the green shoots of a mustard-seed kingdom trying to burst through the dirt of your life?
- He prays the prayer of faith over the room, cursing disease, sickness, cancer and addiction by the authority of the name of Jesus, and calls for Bartimaeus-like desperation: praise God in advance for the miracle you have not yet seen.

Man, it's so great to be in the house of the Lord. Haven't you all had a great week at camp? I've had such a great time. My goodness, what an incredible place. And what an incredible district this is. Thank you very much, brother Jordan, district board, district secretary, everybody else for greenlighting me to come here. It has been such an honor. Also to your amazing youth president and youth secretary. this whole team. you have been so hospitable and so I've had a I've been so relaxed. I've had a great time and you know sometimes when you go somewhere new and and I know I was here a couple years ago, but it was, you know, like a weird time in human history where everyone was getting COVID and I had to try to sneak back across the Canadian border and so we didn't have a chance to hang out.
I was too busy trying to get a clear COVID test at CVS and and so but we've been able to hang it all week. Man, it's been so much fun. This youth committee is incredible. Aren't you thankful for a great team, brother Killmon? I was so pumped to be partnered with you this week. I've I've learned in these day sessions, I was snapping photos and send them to our disciplehip pastor and and it's been such an honor to be with all of you and to be with you, Brother Killmon. Thank you for delivering the word and being sensitive to the Holy Ghost. Turn with me in your Bibles to Matthew chapter 13. We ready to have some church tonight? Cool. I got a third of you. Hopefully I guess the rest of the two/3s. Listen, I I I'll be fine with the one-third, but I have a feeling that the Lord is going to do some great things tonight.
I was kneeling over there in the corner and I was in my hotel room and I was saying, "Lord, release the gifts of the spirit into the Indiana district." I pray that at the end of tonight that there would be people that if you need to receive the Holy Ghost, you would receive the Holy Ghost. But I am also believing that there are people in this room you you may have showed up to pick up your kids. But I want to let you know if you will plug into what the Holy Ghost I have a message not for teenagers but for the whole body that if you came here with sickness in your body or sickness in your mind in the name of Jesus it's going to go and tonight tonight will go down in history for you as an encounter with the mighty God the everlasting father and the prince of peace.
Do we have anybody with Satan in the room? Praise God. Oh my goodness. Another parable he put forth to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed into his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds. But when it is growing, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest and its branches. 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 23. But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews, a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness. I hope my voice will hold out the way my spirit is feeling tonight. But I want to preach to you for a few moments on this subject. Divine disruption. Divine. Oh my God in heaven. Father, I feel your presence right now in this room. I pray Lord that you would God loose the gifts of your spirit in your body.
I pray oh God that you would touch, let your hands stretch forth God. Let heal. We pray give glory to your mighty name, Lord Jesus. I pray God that faith would be elevated in this room and in this district. And God, we would go home with great expectation for Sunday. That God, you are at work in us. And you are alive in the Indiana district. And we're going to see greater things, greater revival, greater outpourings, greater miracles, God, than we have ever seen before. move we pray in the name of Jesus. And you may be seated if you'll preach with me. Oh my goodness. We are living in an incredible age of industrial and technological disruption. I know AI has taken over the world, but we don't know how it's all going to turn out. But a disruptor is a person or business who challenges a preconceived idea of how things should be done.
They show us there's another way to live. There's another way to tackle a problem. There's another way to do this. And while the way it's always been done or the way the culture has addressed this problem is clearly thought of by the disruptor, it is not given the weight of authority or power typically ascribed by the majority. Disruptors will often make us shake our heads and ask why why didn't I think of this before? I mean, calling a someone to pick you up with their own car on your phone instead of calling a taxi, that's worth billions of dollars. Why did I not think? Why didn't I I'm just going to be Why didn't I think of that? The major players in the industries disrupted are often left out. Some are in shambles. Some collapse because they refuse to see anything other than the culture and the world view that they knew and developed for themselves.
And no more evident is a story of a modern tragedy or a missed opportunity than the collapse of Kodak. And I believe we got some photos here. We just cycle through our Kodak pictures. In its heyday, the Eastman Kodak company was huge and employed 140,000 workers at its height. And in 1996, it was ranked the fourth fourth most valuable brand in the United States behind only Disney, CocaCola, and McDonald's. See, young people, back in the day, like the late 1900s, when you went to like a picture was a thing. It didn't like exist on a phone or the internet. It was like a It was a thing. It was like a physical thing. I know. Just stay with me. We're We're going to ask your mother on the way home. But when you wanted to take a picture and have this this photo thing, you would buy film for your camera.
And and film was this stuff you put in a camera that also was not a phone. It was just a camera. You know what? It's going to be too complicated. We don't have enough time. Ask your mother on the way home. But when he wanted to buy this special film thing that the pictures would go on and it would they would be really small and then you take them to a guy that can make them really big and it would ask your mother on the way home, you know, Google it when you get your phone back. when you wanted to get this film to take this picture, Kodak was like your only option. You could go to Fujifilm that but Kodak was winning the marketing game. They had 90% of the market. In fact, there was this phrase that we used in the late 1900s called a Kodak moment.
When you Yeah. Thank you, moms and dads in the back. A Kodak moment. My old fellow millennials and Gen Xers, you're with me tonight. Kodak moment. When you said, "Oh, this is a Kodak moment." What you were saying is like this this is a really special moment that we would love to be able to remember forever and relish like one would a fine picture developed on equally fine Kodak film. But in 2012, Kodak filed for bankruptcy. Here's what's crazy. Kodak invented the digital camera, but they sheld it. They followed predictably the pattern of all those who miss out on a new opportunity. First, they denied that anyone would want to take a digital picture. They didn't want to threaten their film business, which accounted for 70% of their margins. Second, they made fun of digital. They laughed at people like Sony. They never thought that people or places like Facebook and Instagram and social sites would replace good old film.
All you need is one picture of your breakfast. They said, "Not 47." And oh my goodness, were they wrong. They discounted the 20some inventors in their mom's basement or built out of garages. Disruptors often start painfully small. And then the iPhone came out and four years later they were crushed. Kodak lost out on the digital revolution because they discounted the disruption. It was right there in front of them. They had the means, yet they held on to what was safe and what was comfortable. And never once did they consider that there was more. In our text today, Jesus is in front of the Pharisees and he is describing the kingdom of God. He says, "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field." Verse 32, which indeed is the least of all the seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree so great that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.
I think we got a picture of a mustard seed. But in the ancient Greco Roman world and Jewish world, mustard seeds were known to be extremely small. They were less than 1 millimeter in diameter. And it takes upwards of 760 seeds to make a teaspoon. And the seed in question that Jesus is referring to is the one here on the screen that once planted, despite its tiny size, could grow into a 10-ft tall plant in only 10 days. But Jesus doesn't describe the kingdom as a 10-ft tall plant growing from a tiny seed. He uses superlative. He uses exaggeration. He says, "The seed becomes a tree so abnormally and supernaturally large that the birds of the air and the world could come and make a home and nest in its branches." This parable is to announce the kingdom of God, the world as it could be if we would make Jesus our king.
And Jesus is saying, "This kingdom is already here and it's already in charge and it's already working. Don't miss out on it." He says, "Because you have discounted or dismissed or disrespected its humble beginnings and its outlandish claims, this parable was designed to address the contemporaries of Jesus who thought that he was too small to be talking so big." Jesus is saying, "I'm starting a kingdom that's going to invade the earth. A place where people can get healed. A place where sins can get forgiven. A place where the world can be renewed and made whole." And they said, "How can you be a king of anything? You're just from Nazareth. You're but a poor carpenter." And Jesus is saying, "No, no, no. No one should be put off by what appears to be unimpressive." Because like the tiny mustard seed that grows into a huge plant, so the kingdom is present, even if it is hidden, unnoticed, ignored, and scorned by the world.
Don't dismiss me, he says. Don't dismiss these 12 ignorant and unlearned men. Don't dismiss the humble beginnings of my stable born Nazareth raised life because what I am planting is beginning to grow. They shook their heads and they mocked and they scorned. but the crowds grew and the deaf received their healing. Blind eyes were opened. the crippled limbs were made straight. the lepers were cleansed. The demons were cast out. The multitudes were fed and the dead were raised. And the whole time Jesus is saying, "I'm just getting started. I'm just getting started. This is just starting to grow." They nailed Jesus to the cross. And they thought it was over. And the devil thought he won. But three days later on a glorious Sunday morning, Jesus arises from the dead. And he ascends into heaven. and he has poured out as the Holy Ghost and 3,000 are added to the church on a single day.
I'm here to preach to you. Jesus and his kingdom was a disruption. Now the church is born. And Jesus says, "Greater things than these shall you do, and greater things they did." And the church spread and the gospel disrupted everywhere it went. That's why in Acts 17 it says when they could not find them that means the apostles they dragged a guy we've never heard of before Jason and some of the unknown brothers crying out these who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Do you understand the contrast in the gospels? They said, "You're too little to be talking so big." But just a few years later, they said, "These are the ones that are turning the world upside down." I'm here to preach to you that Jesus and his kingdom will upend every other kingdom that's on this earth. And I'm here to let you know that the kingdom of heaven is still a disruption today.
Think about it. The move of the spirit, the experience of conversion, the apostolic lifestyle of a follower of Jesus. These upend what our culture believes how people can interact and find God. And it would be an error on our part to dismiss the disruption of the kingdom of God in our life. and to underestimate the power of the Holy Ghost today just because it looks small to you. your youth group looks small. Your church looks small. It doesn't look as impressive as what you see compromising people do online. But don't disrupt it because what he has planted will grow. Praise God. Clap your hands to the Lord. Don't underestimate what God can do with you. That's my ultimate message here today. Let's move it from the theoretical to the practical. Don't discount and don't underestimate what God can do with you. In fact, if you don't want to be changed, you better not get too close to an apostolic church because if you do, Vinnie, where you at, buddy?
You got the Holy Ghost this week. The Holy Ghost got a hold of you. You thought you were showing up to a youth camp, but you were showing up to get your life changed. if you stay away from the church if you don't want to be changed. stay away from the Holy Ghost if you don't want to be changed. Cuz he'll tip over everything in your life. he'll change the way you think. he'll change the way you talk. he'll change the way you dress. he'll change what you love. he'll change what you hate. he'll change your definition of right. He'll change your definition of wrong. He'll take fishermen and make them apostles. He'll take tax collectors and make them Bible writers. He'll take people like my mom. Mom, if you're watching, hi mom, if you're watching tonight, who grew up so poor that she had no running water, coats for blankets, her dad in prison for getting drunk and running somebody down with the car.
and he'll take a broken girl from an impoverished country town and he'll turn her into a pastor's wife. he'll turn her into somebody who's been in children's ministry for 45 years. he'll turn her into a disciplemaker and a wise woman. He'll take people like my father who was an alcoholic before he was 20, who was a regular drug user. He'll fill him full of the Holy Ghost in his apartment after his first apostolic service. And then five years later, crazy to think about it, Brother Killmon, five years later, he'll send him to a city where he'll plant a church. He'll take a 20-year-old drug addict, and turn him into a church planter, a youth president, a presenter, and now a pastor of a church. I'm here to preach to some young perhaps who's dealing with insecurity. Don't say I'm only insecure. Don't say I'm only from a broken home.
Don't say I come from the wrong family. Don't write off what's been planted in you this week. cuz if you give it time, yes, it's going to grow. It's going to grow. But listen, when Jesus came, you think that there would have been two cultures that would have embraced wholeheartedly this disruption of the kingdom of heaven. That there was anybody that would have bought into the Messiah, it would have been the Jews. The Greeks, the Jews were Jesus's own people. They were the authors of the Old Testament. The Greeks, they had been heavily influenced by Jewish culture. So much so that Alexander the Great upon seeing himself and Daniel's vision refused to destroy Jerusalem. Hellenism was Greek philosophy influenced by Jewish theology. But yet the Apostle Paul said, "We preach Christ crucified." To the Jews, a stumbling block. And to the Greeks, foolishness. The message of the cross.
The call of the kingdom is a place, it is a tripping hazard to the Jews and a place of mockery to the Greeks. This makes no sense. It boggles the mind. Unless of course we live in a world where the world's largest photography company can invent the next big thing only to put it on the shelf and be left in the dust by a cell phone. For the Jews, it was a stumbling block because while they believed that God was both really big and all powerful and they also believed that God was able to come close to the world, they believed in God's transcendence and God's imminence. They believed in a God that could intervene in everyday life. While they believed in God's transcendence and God's imminence, it never dawned on them that their God would come to them in a way that they did not expect.
And never dawned on them that God would come so close as to be born of a virgin, born to a young woman and grow up in a small town of Bethlehem to not be a political and military leader, but to be despised and rejected a man, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. It boggled their mind and they said God would never do that. They wrote the Bible and this was their great opportunity. Instead, it became a Kodak moment of a different sort. as the people who prophesied Christ missed their Messiah because he was too much of a disruption to their life and did not fit into their little box. The problem the Jews had with Paul was that he said that God was coming in a way that they did not expect. It was folly to the Greeks because while they believed in a great big God, they did not believe in an imminent God.
They did not believe in a God that could come close. They believed that God was super big and beyond human comprehension. But it was outside of their worldview to imagine a God who was that large but yet could come that close. God would dare not corrupt himself with the corruption of human flesh. So to the Greeks, the incarnation was a sick joke. The two people, the two groups who should have jumped on board the greatest spiritual disruption the world had ever seen, missed their Messiah because he did not come as they had expected. I've got a blunt question for you tonight. What in the world are you missing out on? Listen, I'm sure we'll get to shouting in a moment, but I need to hold up a mirror to your life and I need to ask you a hard question. What are you missing out on?
What are you missing out on? I know I'm being blunt, but I don't want to miss out on what God has for me because it did not fit in the life that I had planned for myself. I don't want to miss out on the power and the purpose and the demonstration and the miracles because I was too busy trying to fit God through my flesh. Fit God through my limited faith. Fit God through my cultural filter. I don't want to miss out on having my life changed at an altar because I don't want to cry. I don't want to miss out on the Holy Ghost because I don't want to be embarrassed by speaking out in other tongues. Instead, my call to this district is God. Whatever you want to do, do it. God, whatever you want to say, say it. I don't care how much it shakes up my life.
I don't care what your presence up is. I don't care what you got to shake and what you've got to rattle. Jesus, I just want you in my life. I don't care how long I got to fast. I don't care how long I've got to pray. If I got to walk a rut in my living room carpet, God, I'm going to see you. God, I'm going to experience you. God, we will have revival. God, we will we will see your hand move. Lift your hands right now. Lift your hands right now. Oh God. Oh God. Lift the veil over our eyes. Let the gift of faith come in this room. I want to see Jesus. I want to see Jesus. I want to be part of the disruptive kingdom. I want to be part of the revival that grows so large it fills my city that it fills my community.
I want to see a revival that's bigger than me. I want to see mira I am tired of reading the book of acts and not seeing it in my generation. I want to see the greater things. I want to see the greater revival. Be seated for a moment. I love my family. I need to share the story and then we're going to release we're going to release the gift of faith across this room. It was May 2016 and I was praying in my basement. Some stuff had happened in our lives that had shaken us to the core. I feel the Lord so strong in this room right now. I was praying to God. Here's what I was literally saying. God, let the bad stuff stop. God, don't let us have to go through anything else. Here was my three years from 2013 to 2016. We had a picture of the foot.
My son was born was born with that left foot was deformed. His heel, you don't see it, but it was completely against the Achilles. He had to have two surgeries almost immediately following birth. His foot was completely deformed. He had a severe club foot. When he was in the O, the surgeon prescribed mispres misprescribed morphine twice. And if it was not for the Holy Ghost, my wife would have given him, if the Lord had not stopped her, my wife would have given my son 10 times. his heart would have stopped immediately. Then while we were feeding him breakfast, he had a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction. And then he had another life-threatening anaphylactic reaction the week later. And then my wife's thyroid shut down. And then in 2016, my wife got endometrial cancer. We sat in the doctor's office and doctor said, "We got to do surgery.
I've already booked it. Your surgery's in six weeks. We're going to do a hysterctomy. I'm sorry, Mrs. Shaw. You're not going to be able to have any more children. We said, "What about a second opinion?" I mentioned this to some of the students last night. What about a second opinion? She said, "I've sent this to the best pathologist in Toronto and the best pathologist at McMaster Medical School in Hamilton." And they both agree, you've got to do the surgery now. And we said, "Is there anybody else?" She said, "I can send it to as many doctors as you want, but Mrs. Shaw, I need you to know. I need you to know that while you're searching for somebody to tell you what you want to hear, cancer will be growing in your body. Six weeks from that appointment, my wife laid on a gurnie. Our plan to grow our family from one to three children was over.
I said, "Babe, I'll see you." She came through the other surgery. I was sitting the basement full of self-pity. I was going, "God, let the bad stuff stop. I was under more stress than I had ever encountered in my life." And you would think this would be the perfect moment, Brother Killmon, for the Lord with his love and his empathy to swoop in and be like, "There, there. I had hair back then. Everything's going to be okay. Let me hold you. Wrap me in your arms. Right. That's not how God rolls with me. I'm just I'm I'm literally going, "God, I can't take anymore. God, let the vast stuff stop." And God literally disrupted my worried prayer and said, "Is that all I can do?" I was like, "What? What? Am I not creator? Can I not restore all that is lost? And then God sent two people in our lives within 24 hours and they had the same message.
Elevates your faith. God can do more. Stephanie and I later that October, we went to a hyphen retreat and brother Dan MacLeod put his hand on my wife's head and prophesied over her. And in October of 2016 and said, "This is not over. It is not over." But I want you to know, Stephanie, in the end, God will be glorified. Fast forward, November 2016, my wife had a sore throat that would not go away. So, she went to the doctor. The doctor felt up and down her neck and said, "You need a CT scan immediately or an ultrasound immediately." The ultrasound revealed another type of cancer. Six months later, calcified lesions had popped up all over her thyroid. We got the CT scan after the ultrasound, and the ultrasound confirmed this was not a fluke. And they said, "We are going to send you in just a few months.
We're going to send you for an ultrasound guided biopsy to determine the treatment." And and and that's what's going to happen for you, Mrs. Shaw. And if you would have confronted me at that moment and you say, "Adam, how do you feel? You're about to get punched in the stomach again. Your wife is sick again. Her mother's had cancer twice. Your wife now has it twice. Are you ready to be a single dad? Are you ready to try to figure this out if your wife dies? And you would have you would ask me, "Are you falling apart?" I would have looked you in the eyes and said, "I met God in my basement earlier in the spring." Not at all. In fact, our prayer our prayer was God. Our prayer was God freak out the doctors. No longer were we praying. God stopped the spread.
We were saying, "God, send a miracle. God, send a miracle. God, send a miracle." I made up my mind that if God didn't heal my wife, it was not going to be because I didn't ask for it. It wasn't going to be because I did not have the faith. And so, everywhere I went, I said, "My wife's got cancer, but God is a healer. My wife's got a disease, but God is a healer. I preached three HYC's, three HYC's. At the end of 2016, we had the final biopsy scheduled for March of 2017. Never said, "I don't care if I look like an idiot." I'm sorry if that's a bad word to some of you people. I said, "I don't care if I humiliate myself." I get up in Dallas, Texas. I get up in Arkansas and I got up in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and I said, "My wife's got cancer, but my God's a healer." I want to let you know in March, you're going to hear that God still heals diseases.
Some of you are in this room and you're praying, "God, just let the bad stuff stop and God has sent me all the way from Canada to ask you a question. Is that all it can do?" Some of you are praying, "God, just get my parents off drugs." And God's saying, "Is that all I can do? I can save them and I can bring them in the church." Some of you are saying, "God, help me survive this season of my life." And God's saying, "I'm going to turn your mess into a testimony." My God. My God. Some of you in the back, you are facing a diagnosis. You're sick in your body and you've been praying, "God, let the bad stuff stop." And God saying, "Is that all I can do? Or can I show up at a youth camp, reach into your body, and dissolve the tumor?
Can I open up an artery? Can I change your neurology? Can I touch your body? Some of you are in this room right now and you're saying, "God, just help me cope." And God said, "Is that all I can do or can I give you beauty for ashes? Can I give you the oil and joy for your morning? The joy of the Lord is your strength." Stay ready. I just have a little bit more of my motto. These guys are yelling loud. So March 7th rolls around and we held hands. We walked into the Juravinski cancer tower with divine disruption faith. We're in the living room. Not the living room. We're in the waiting room and we're going in the name of Jesus. And that you understand just a few months earlier I was a puddle on the floor but I had been challenged by the spirit and my faith had been elevated.
and we held hands and we said, "God, let's see what you're going to do. Let's see what you're going to do." I stayed in the waiting room. They took my wife into the ultrasound tech space. The tech said, "I'm just going to going to find the lesions. Then we're going to take the biopsy." She put the weird gel stuff on the wand. She put it to my wife's neck. You got to understand, my wife isn't me. I am 100 miles an hour. I'm 98 dB. Like, this is just how I roll. My wife is the opposite of me. That ultrasound wand hit her neck and she went, "In the name of Jesus." The check The tech went, "What? What?" And she went, "It's fine. It's fine." She did the ultrasound and then she got up and left. She left my wife there in the room for 10 minutes.
She got up and left. Said, "I need to talk to the doctor. You stay right there." And my wife is texting me. And she said, "She's left and I don't know what's going on. She's left. We're supposed to be doing the biopsy." And the tech came back and said, "Mrs. Shaw, you can go. Your biopsy is cancelled. Expect a call from the surgeon. It was just a It was just a few days later. My wife's at work and the phone rings and it's the surgeon who was supposed the thoracic surgeon who was supposed to be doing the surgery and she's screaming in the phone. This stoic surgeon is yelling on the phone going, "Mrs. Shaw, where'd you get the horseshoe? Where did you pull the horseshoe out of? Where'd you get them? My wife's going, "What in the world you're talking about?" She goes, "I can't believe it.
I can't believe it. They're gone. They're gone." Ma, you're cancer free. The case is closed. Go live your life. You're cancer-free. We're going to pray the prayer of faith in just a moment. But perbid me, Steph, if you're watching, send this to my dad. Three years ago, my dad started having neurological symptoms about a year and a half to two years ago. They diagnosed him with ALS which has most people don't survive. 85% of people do not survive past four or five years. But my dad's been living with the disease for three and it seemed they cannot understand why it is not progressing the way that it is. Can you permit me to do what I did in 2016 and say if God can heal my wife of cancer? I can't wait to tell you that he's the God that heals of terminal disease in the name of Jesus.
Why can't he? Why can't he? Why can't he? Why can't he? Yes, God. I want to say one more thing and then we're going to worship. You guys get ready. We're just going to turn up. Okay. What outlandish thoughts? I just I got to say this. What Atlantis thoughts have been running through your mind in prayer, pastor, mom and dad, I've had an unshakable burden for the people that are here in the back part of this church. What outlandish thoughts run through your head as you rush through your panicked and hurried prayer to God that you stumble over because it defies the tiny little box that you have forced your Jesus to live in? I've got a question for you. What if those thoughts aren't your thoughts? What if those dreams aren't your dreams? What if they're the little green shoots of a mustard sized kingdom trying to burst through the dirt of your life?
I challenge you now. Lift your hands and release your faith. Your moment of disruption is right now. Your moment of healing is right now. Lift your hands all over this room and begin to give God praise. From the front to the back, begin to give God praise. Miracles are in this room. This is how I find my This is how I This is how I find my God. Come on. I should reach out. Reach out. Reach out. Reach out. Reach out. Reach out. All right. We're not there yet. That's cool. That's cool. I don't fly out to tomorrow. And I'll tell you that I've heard from the Lord for tonight and that God wants to work in this room. If you need a miracle in your life, I want you to lift your hand right now. Whether you've got backsliden family, whether you need a healing in your body, ministry team, pastors and leaders, find somebody in the altar or in the pew with their hand raised.
In fact, if you are near, keep your hand up. If you're near somebody in the back with their hand raised that needs a healing from the Lord, we are going to curse cancer and we're going to curse heart disease. We are going to curse chronic pain. Right? Why not? Why not? Sure, it's fun to shout the night down, but why don't we shout as we watch God work wonders and work miracles in this house. Here's here's the instructions. That's keep your hand raised. I'm going to speak faith over this room. You have but one response. Faith has a sound and that sound is desperation. Blind Bartimaeus lifted his voice and said, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me." Here's what you've got to do. You've got to have the desperation to call on Jesus and let Jesus do the work. Here we go. Lift your hands all over this room right now.
Ministry team, get ready. By the authority of the word of God, by the blood that was shed on Calvary, and by the power of the name of Jesus, I curse disease. I curse sickness. I curse cancer. I curse addiction. I curse the backsliding spirit that has robbed you of your children. And I command the prodigal to come home. I command joy into your body. I command wholeness into your mind. by the authority of the name of Jesus. Lift your voice right now. Lift your voice right now. Lift your voice. Then shout yes Lord. Yes Lord. Open your mouth and shout yes Lord. Yes Lord. Open your mouth and shout yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes, Lord." Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes!" Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes, Lord." Yes, Lord.
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes, Lord." Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes, Lord." Yes, Lord. Open your mouth and shout, "Yes, Lord." Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. To your ways. Yes, Lord. To your will. Yes, Lord. To your way. Yes, Lord. To your will. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Miracles. Lord, signs, wonders of my lasting. Miracles signs, wonders, wonders over my life. Sing miracles, miracles, signs, signs, wonders, wonders over my life. Sing miracles, miracles, signs, wonders, wonders. Over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life.
Sing miracles. Signs. Wonders. Wonders over my life. Sing miracles. Wonders all over my life. Sing mirales. Wonders all over my life. Sing mirales. Miracle signs. Wonders. Wonder over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. All over my life. If you been through, you would be praising, too. If you been through what I've been through, you would be praising, too. Let me raise your faith now. Let him go. You can do whatever you want, dude. This guy was in the hospital last night. Dislocated his shoulder. He's been throwing his arm around like nothing happened and he threw his sling on the ground. That is just a small healing. But if you're here today, let that elevate your faith that you serve a God who's able. That you serve a God who's able.
That you serve a God who's able. Listen, we're going to push this thing one more. I know we've been here all week, students, and we've broken through. But I need you to go crazy in the next few moments because there's some people in the back that they've been carrying some big problems in their life that they need the Lord to break the yoke of the enemy in their life. Here is my challenge to everyone who needs a miracle. When I went to those three youth conventions, while we waited, I had no idea God was going to heal my wife. I just had faith. When I said God's going to heal my wife at all of those conventions, I want you to know I went absolutely crazy. It was uncomfortable. When I go back and watch the video, I rolled around. I spun around because I was desperate.
And I said, "God, I've got so much faith. I'm going to praise you in advance." So, here's what I need you to do. I'm going to count to three and I need everybody in this room. I want you to close your eyes and imagine what it would be like to have your backsliden kids come home, to have your marriage be put back together, to have healing in your body, to have your finances restored. How are you going to shout when you get the evidence of the miracle of the disruption of the kingdom? How loud you going to holler when God shows up in your life? How big you going to jump? When you get the diagnosis, it's coming back clean. 1 2 3. Somebody shout.
