Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The Day the Computers Went Down

  • On a June morning the gate at APM Terminals in Elizabeth, New Jersey — one of 76 terminals of the shipping company Maersk — went completely dead, and the same scene played out at 17 of its terminals around the world: screens black, files encrypted, and a demand for $300 in Bitcoin on every computer.
  • Maersk was only one victim that day: Merck lost the ability to manufacture certain drugs and $870 million, FedEx's TNT Express lost $400 million, Saint-Gobain the same, and Cadbury's maker took a $188 million hit; hospitals, power companies, airports and banks were shut down, and children's medication was switched. Behind it stood an elite hacking group called Sandworm, which had launched a silent war the West did not want to fight or even talk about.

A Silent War at the Door

  • Just as a silent war had been launched on the West, a silent war has been launched on the souls in the room: we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and the battleground is the mind, the thoughts, the passions, the soul.
  • 'Be sober, be vigilant' — the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, and a silent intrusion can lie beneath the surface of a life undetected while the exterior looks the same.

Scriptures: Ephesians 6:12; Peter 5:8

The Deadliest Intrusion: Apathy

  • The intrusion that destroys the most believers is not heresy but apathy — pictured in the medieval tradition as a young woman asleep — which undoes a church from inside while nothing looks wrong.
  • Laodicea was neither hot nor cold and thought itself rich and in need of nothing; apathy kills worship first, then the appetite for sound teaching, until hearers gather teachers who tell them only what they want to hear.
  • From his wife's cancer he argues the doctor who loves you tells you the truth that can save your life; conviction is God's kindness in the same way, and there is no version of the gospel with the life-saving truth left out.

Scriptures: Revelation 3:15-17; 2 Timothy 4:3-4

God Can Work with the Hungry

  • A Ukrainian believer winning souls under bombardment, a recovering alcoholic, unbelievers in his own city waking up, two Muslims baptized in Jesus' name in a Canadian winter — God moves where there is hunger, struggle and reaching.
  • Cornelius in Acts 10 was not even converted, but he was not apathetic, and God sent him a preacher; what God cannot work with is the shrug.

Scriptures: Acts 10

Update the Software

  • The crippled companies recovered by doing the neglected basics — updating their software. The Christian recovery is the same order, carried under the verse as he cites it: 'Be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.'
  • He closes calling the room to press in prayer until the numbness breaks and the fire apathy smothered is reignited.

Scriptures: Romans 12:1

Scripture index: Ephesians 6:12; Peter 5:8; Revelation 3:15-17; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; Acts 10; Romans 12:1.

To the media team who's been so amazing. We're going with number two, the one I just gave you. Okay, everyone else, you'll find out what that means in a second. Let's just lift our hands and let's pray. Lord, we love you. So thankful, God, for what you've done today. So thankful God for this great camp. I pray God that you would move today by the Holy Ghost. I pray God that there would be a uncction in my spirit Lord that would come not from me but God would come from you God. In the name of Jesus I pray do what only you can do. Lord do heart surgery on our souls today. I pray in the name of Jesus that you would have your way in the name of Jesus that you would do your work. Move on us. We pray in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name.

Why don't you high-five somebody and say, "Preach with me as I preach with him." Okay? Then you may be seated. Okay. We're just we're kind of flying by the seat of our pants right now. This is not the message I had planned. but the Lord had planned for it. and he likes to make me feel uncomfortable. and so if we've got I think the photo of the shipping terminal in New Jersey, we can go ahead. You guys rock. You're incredible. Let's give the production team a great big hand. They literally got this like three minutes ago. Okay, so here's the deal. This is and we're we're good. We're good. I'll I'm going to read the Bible eventually, but we're going to we're going to start with the story like we did last night. Just give us a second. We did not plan this. Okay, so thanks.

You guys are doing great, too. the shipping terminal in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is one of 76. This we're seeing right here. And I think we got a few other photos of them. We can just cycle through it. It makes up the port operations division of Maersk. And it's this it's APM terminals is what it's called. It's it's right near Manhattan. It sprawls out in a Newark Bay on a man-made peninsula covering a full square mile. Tens of thousands of stacked, perfectly organized, modular containers cover its vast pavement landscape and 200 foot tall blue cranes loom over the bay like those animal things from Star Wars that I don't know the name of because I'm not a nerd. But from the top floor, the top floors of lower Manhattan skyscrapers, millions or sorry, not millions, but five miles away. They look like dinosaurs from Jurassic era watering hole.

And on a good day, 3,000 trucks arrive at the terminal, each with a special receipt to pick up or drop off tens of thousands of pounds of everything. It's literally all of the things that coming through the East Coast, diapers and and guacamole and avocado and and tractor parts and and it it starts the whole process is this welloiled machine. It starts like when you would go to an airport. You have a ticket and you scan the the ticket at at at the gate and the scanners automatically read the barcode on the the terminal and and the Maersk gate clerk talks to the truck driver via this speaker system. And the driver then gets another printed pass that tells them where to park. So the the crane that dinosaur looking crane can load the containers onto the back of the of the ship from the back of the ship onto the truck or from the truck onto the back of the ship and and then the ship will float across the ocean and get more stuff or drop off more stuff.

It's this real complicated logistical process. It's how you get your stuff from Target. It's really neat to see. This is how it how all your timu orders. This is how they this how they show up. But on a June morning, this welloiled machine was flung into chaos. The phones of transport companies begin to buzz non-stop with a succession of screaming truck drivers and angry cargo owners. All of them just in a panic as their vehicles were stuck outside the Maersk Elizabeth terminal. People were literally getting into their trucks and jumping up and down and throwing their hats on the ground as they could not get their containers in and they could get get their containers out of the gate. The gate, the entrance to Maersk entire New Jersey terminal operation was completely and totally dead and the gate clerks had shut off their little speaker phones and had gone silent.

Soon, hundreds of 18-wheelers were backed up in a line that stretched for miles outside the terminal. And that's when the whispers began to make their way through the truck drivers and through the crew operators inside the terminal that this was not an ordinary day. This was not simply a a technological hiccup. This was an attack because phones begin to buzz all over the world as the same scene that was taking place in New Jersey was playing out at 17 of Maersk 76 terminals from Los Angeles to Spain to Rotterdam and the Netherlands to Mumbai, India. The gates were down, the cranes were frozen, and tens of thousands of trucks would be turned away from comeos terminals across the globe. For days to come, the world's most complex and interconnected distribution machines that underpins the circulatory system of the global economy itself would remain broken. At the very same time that the gates would not lift and the speaker phones of the terminals were going silent at Maersk headquarters simultaneously.

Super creepy all at once. I think we got a picture of it. Computer screens were going black. In fact, every computer connected to the company network got that photo on its screen. And then another one would pop up and I think we got that one. And it said this ominous message appeared that said, "Oops, your important files have been encrypted." And they demanded $300 worth of Bitcoin for each computer to decrypt them. What happened? They've been hacked from New Jersey to headquarters. They've been hacked. Hacking. And that's the title of my message here tonight. You've been hacked. hacking is computer speak for break and it enter into networks of computers where someone this intruder has complete control over your entire system and Maersk was only one victim that day. Merck the pharmaceutical company lost its ability to manufacture certain drugs. $870 million was lost in a single day due to malware.

FedEx, TNT Express was crippled and lost 400 million. French construction giant Saint-Gobain lost the same amount of money. Mondelez, the chocolate maker Cadbury took a $188 million hit. But probably scarier than all of that was four hospitals, six power companies, two airports, and 22 banks all were shut down around the same time. In fact, we found out that the medication for children that were receiving life lifealtering and life-saving surgery had been switched. And if it were not for quick-thinking nurses, children in American hospitals would have received fatal doses of medication. Every federal agency in one particular country, an estimated 10% of all computers in one country were completely wiped out. Behind all of this was an elite hacking group called Sandworm. Sandworm is an obscure reference to the popular sci-fi novel Dune in and where the in the book Sandworms are these giant carnivorous worms.

Again, don't know a whole lot about it. I'm not a nerd. I'm married and have a son and and hobbies and so I don't I don't know anything about Dune. These worms apparently live beneath the surface and the novel and they they're undetected until they explode upward and consume everything in their path. And much like the sci-fi novel monster, the sandworm hackers had launched a silent war on the free world. No guns, no bombs, no tanks, no drills where children hid under their desks, no air raid sirens going off to disrupt your Starbucks. A war had been launched on the West that the West seemingly did not want to fight or even talk about. No one wanted to talk about the sandworm hackers despite holding the ability, this group, to intrude into power plants, hospitals, banks in America, you name it. Silence. I'm recounting this story today as an illustration that just like a silent war had been launched upon the west that perhaps for some young people in this room today a silent war has been launched upon your soul too.

We are in a war and you may not you may not have noticed it when you registered for senior high camp. You may not have been aware of it as you packed your belongings and you got into your car and you came here and you found out which dorm you were in. But there is a spiritual battle that is going on in our culture and in our world that largely like the sandworm attack lies beneath the surface. Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places." The Bible says very clearly, we have an adversary because it says in Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." or I do not say this because I'm a spooky apostolic, but the scripture is clear that if you're going to serve Jesus, it's going to be one of battle.

That if you're going to serve God, it's going to be one of struggle. The Christian life is full of a warfare and a battle. And the battleground is not with people. It is not fought within the physical world. This war is hidden too. it's within your mind. It's within your thoughts. it's within your passions. It's within your soul. And I am here with the help of the Holy Ghost to warn an amazing young person in this great district. I'm here to warn perhaps a mom or dad that's in the pew. I'm here to warn somebody in the fight that you may have been hacked to. A silent intrusion of your soul has taken place and it's lying there beneath the surface of your life undetected. In prayer and in reflection, I journaled this question. What in the human soul can be compromised this way? What is the most dangerous intrusion the enemy can make into your heart that is an eternal threat?

What is the thing that if you find it lurking within your mind and lurking within your soul, it could let you know that you too have been hacked? I thought of all the hot button topics that get covered at camps. Things like sexual sin, social media behavior, these are too public. These are too seen. I mean, if your top podcasters are already talking about the dangers of screen time and internet use and how your brain is degraded through things like overexposure to digital media and how our brains are being rewired to have lowered attention, those are all too public. Those are all too obvious. And despite their public nature, they can be course corrected quickly and accountability can come. But I'm talking tonight about the kind of thing that lies deep inside the heart that no one knows is there. No one knows this thing has infected a new host.

No one knows that the defenses of your soul have been compromised because on the exterior you look the same. But if left unadressed, it will rob you of your purpose. It will rob you of your anointing. And if it allowed to continue long enough, it may even take you out of the kingdom of God altogether. So what is it? Pondered. I prayed. I studied and I asked God and I talked with elders and I talked with pastors. And after consulting the scriptures, I think I found it. I think I found the one thing that like the sandworm virus can lie dormant and undetectable to anyone around you until it explodes from your life publicly and it is now too late and it explodes from deep within the surface and consumes the soul that lies within its path. I believe the greatest threat to the young church than that the silent killer of maybe your faith in this room tonight is something called apathy.

Apathy is the absence of passion. It's when you find yourself without a strong desire and without a zeal for the things of God. And I believe it is not your screen time. It is not your social media behavior. I believe it is not your friend circle that is li that is the greatest threat to your faith. It is whether or not apathy is allowed to reside within your soul. Outside of the scriptures, one of the deeply captivating pictures of apathy is right here on the screen. Can be found from the medieval times when people were illiterate and all they couldn't read books and so all they had were paintings and pictures. And so artists would come up with with archetypes and images of things to direct them and help them understand what to believe. And in the medieval times there was something called the eight deadly sins.

Now we know them as the seven deadly sins. But in the day of medieval times there actually was eight. Now as apostolics we believe that all sin is deadly. Still the seven that we know about are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. We hear about those things at pulpits at youth camps like this all of the time. But the eighth was considered the deadliest of all. It was apathy. And each one of the seven deadly sins or the eight deadly sins would be illustrated in paintings and stone sculptures of visual reminders of what lurked behind every temptation. They're all strange. They're all creepy and they're all dark. Things like wrath was a man's face contorted in rage. Pride was somebody who was puffed up. Lust was a young man whose face was contorted in such a way that it was grotesque. It all was designed to remind you of the spirit that lied behind the temptation or the spirit that lied behind the sin.

But not apathy. Apathy was never portrayed as a beast with horns or with long teeth. It was never portrayed as a face contorted in some sort of grotesque mask. It was always portrayed as a pretty young woman with a gentle face asleep. This is the face of apathy. It is not loud. It is not angry. It is not aggressive and hostile. It's not the voice of a seemingly rebellious kid in the youth group who trumpets their sin and their struggle, who trumpets their rebellion against their family or against their pastor. No, apathy is much more silent than that. It is not hostile or aggressive. of it is merely sleepy and unconcerned. The scripture gives us multiple striking striking images of what apathy looks like in a believer. It says in Revelation 3:15:17, "I know your works, that you are neither hot nor cold, I wish that you were either hot or cold.

So then because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold or cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth because you say I am rich. I am become wealthy and I have need of nothing. And yet you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. See, we often assume that Satan's attacks will be sensational. We look for the spooky stuff. We look for the paganism and the hidden demonic signs and things and they are there. But revelation at the end of time, God expels people from the kingdom because they have become lukewarm. The adjusted temperature of their soul had become more and more like the world. Effort is expended to be either hot or cold. It is refreshingly distinct. But is the soul of somebody the lukewarm is the soul of somebody who is exactly like there is no effort expended to be distinct at all in the world.

And they say we have need of nothing. I combat this right now in the name of Jesus. Where people come to church and they are in the presence of God and they fold their arms and they say, "Entertain me. The chord progression better be good. The harmonies better be tight. I better be entertained. The production value better be excellent. It better be all put together in a nice package. Otherwise, I'm not going to respond." You can come to church and fold your arms and say, "I'm good. I'm fine. That new kid that in the church, they're the one that needs the altar call. Pastor, you better preach about the things that we can obviously see are wrong with their life. But I'm good. I'm fine. I don't need an altar. I do not need prayer. I do not need repentance. Nothing in me needs to be challenged.

Nothing in me needs to be convicted. I am fine just the way I am. I am comfortable. I am unconcerned with the direction of my life. I am unconcerned with where my feet are headed. I don't care who I date as long as they're cute. I don't care what I do online as long as it's fun. I can chew with my friends and sin and then go to church and talk in tongues and pray and it's cool. This is the face of apathy. And this is the spirit that often infects if I can be so blunt and plain. I live and minister in a pagan area. I've got a crack house right beside my church. I can see the devils on display every single weekend. But as I travel across America, I am startled as I pray in my hotel room. as I feel not the face of drug addiction and perversion, but I feel the coldness of spiritual apathy trying to infect the next generation.

And I am here today to come into your heart and shake you awake and say, "There is never a point in your life where you do not need God. There is never a point in your life where you do not need his presence. Oh God, let me diagnose your soul. When apathy has struck, one of the first things to go is worship. Now, I'm not talking about shouting and jumping and dancing. Because you can you can do that stuff where your mind's somewhere else. When I talk about worship leaving, I'm talking about your body is in the building, but your mind is somewhere else. Or you can go through the mechanics of praise, but your heart is not connecting to God. Another attribute of apathy is found in 2 Timothy chapter 4 3-4. The time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but will have itching ears.

They will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. But the signs of apathy is no longer being able to endure stable lifebuilding teaching. Strong teaching will shape your mind and your worldview and will stretch your faith. But apathy is when you stop looking for apostolic voices to convict and challenge you. And you began to look for voices that affirm you only. People who will affirm of your journey of deconstruction in your faith. People who will affirm the voice of your carnality in your heart and in your soul. It is a mistake. It is a mistake to think that challenge and conviction is rejection from a leader in your life. In fact, one of the most loving things that you can ever hear is that I love you, but you're headed in the wrong direction.

To hear truth is to hear love. To hear truth is to experience kindness. To be convicted of your sin is one of the greatest loving acts that a leader can do in your life. Sometimes sound doctrine is uncomfortable because it is a mirror and because as I said last night, we are so afraid of feeling awkward. We will run to the nearest voice that will affirm our worldliness. So for change to come into your life, you've got to be okay with not feeling okay for a moment in a service so God can remake your heart and reignite the passion of your soul. I may talk about this later in the week, but about nine years ago, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. It was the first diagnosis. She's had it twice. first diagnosis was awful. It was endometrial cancer, which meant we we were blessed with one sign.

That meant that she was going to have a surgery that meant we were not going to be able to have any more children. And as we sat in the doctor's office and we're like, "Are you sure? Are you sure it's cancer? Are you sure it's endometrial? Can we get a second opinion?" And our doctor said, "I I I've already got a second opinion. I've already sent this to another pathologist. I've already sent this to another individual and and they've come back. They've confirmed that the pathologist that you heard in Hamilton, this is the best pathologist in Toronto and he has confirmed the findings of the best pathologist in Hamilton, Ontario, Mrs. Shaw, you've got you've got cancer, but is there nobody else? She said, "All right, cool. Will we keep going? All right. Is there nobody else? She said, we said, "Is there's nobody else we can go to?" And I'll never forget Dr.

Sibi looking my wife directly in the face. And she said, "Miss Shaw, you can find you can go from doctor to doctor and pathologist to pathologist to give you the words you want to hear, but the whole time cancer will be growing inside your body. I am telling you the truth so that we can take action and we can save your life and we can keep you healthy. Can I tell you one of the greatest things you can have in your life is conviction. One of the greatest things you can have is the voice of the Holy Ghost, the voice of the word of God and the voice of the local church in disciplehip saying this is the way that you should take. This is the way that you should go. You can flee sound teaching and doctrine all you want. You can go ahead and find an influencer or a mindfulness coach or a Tik Tocker to rubber stamp your anger or your bitterness or your apathy and tell you it's okay.

But the whole time Satan will be robbing you of your future, your purpose, and your anointing. See, if you're in the church, the greatest thing the devil can do in your life is distract you to sleep. And the reason why God speaks so intensely about apathy and revelation is because when your heart's been fully infected by this hack of the enemy, God can do nothing with you while your apathy remains. God can work with imperfect people. God can work with flawed people. Let me mess you up a little bit. God can work with people who struggle. One of the greatest soul winners in my church is now a young man in the Ukraine in a hospital with a foot blown off after joining the Ukrainian Foreign Legion. He has won several friends and that his friends have won four other people. and he has a young man that is filled with angst and anger, but he loves God and he's trying to serve him.

God can use even people who struggle. He can disciple them and shake them. I've got another young man that I am mentoring that for years struggle with alcohol addiction. But while he was going through recovery for alcohol addiction, he went from going black out drunk every day to being alcohol free. It it was a struggle. It was hard. But while he was in the struggle, he won four friends to the kingdom of God. He witnessed to his family. And as a result, last year, I prayed his brother through to the Holy Ghost. And this year, I baptized his other brother. In the name of Jesus, I'm going to mess with you a little bit. God can work with imperfect people who are new to faith that are stumbling their way forward towards God. God can work with young people who are struggling and have doubts and have things they need accountability as they fall forward into the kingdom of God into spiritual maturity.

He can disciple them. He can shape them. He can convict them. He can challenge them. And he can lead anyone who's earnestly seeking. He can move miraculously upon people who do not even believe in him. I they ACN missionaries who are my friends in the Middle East and they have told me stories. They have told me stories of people where they have they have been awoken in the middle of the night to see a vision of Jesus at the foot of their bed just like he did with Cornelius in Acts 10 where he woke them up and say you need to go here and hear the gospel. These were people that did not know the name of Jesus, but they were hungry for the God of the Bible, and God directed them to truth. In 2020, we baptized two Muslims when our churches were locked down.

They had watched us online for two years, and they stood in the snow of a Canadian winter as it blustered at minus5 below. They stood outside for one hour. They didn't even want to knock on the door because we were streaming the service. And they had such honor for the preaching. They stood there and watched on their phones as they shivered and huddled on the front step before banging on the door at the end of service and saying, "Will you baptize us in the name of Jesus?" God can reach into bars. God can re I got a young man that we won to the Lord and he was a backslider. He was a backsliden young man, brother Killmon, and he was in a bar getting drunk and high and an angel in the form of a man came up to him and said, "God's got a purpose for your life.

When will you stop playing games with God?" And then disappeared in the middle of the club. God can do anything with people who are hungry for him. In fact, don't you dare side eye the kid who's new that doesn't have all the look of an apostolic in your youth group just yet. God may be shaping them because they're hungry, because they're passionate, because they're seeking him. They're going to struggle and fall, but don't you dare side eye them because God just may use them for his glory. When people are sincere and they seek God, he will snatch their soul out of hell. But he cannot do anything with someone who has decided they don't care. A young adult, an older teen who has become so cynical and jaded. They've become so cynical and jaded about the kingdom of God that they have stopped up their ears and heart to the voice of the word of their pastor in their life.

People who can drink on Friday and pray on the altar without conviction on Sunday. That's the key. Without conviction on Sunday. God can't do anyone or anything with anyone who allows their soul to become numb with endless doom scrolling. LA rather than sit and confront their own spiritual emptiness, they fill it with digital noise so that they can shut out the voice of God that's calling them to pray. There is a profound difference between those who do not know, who are trying to fumble their way after God and God shapes and transforms them by the Holy Ghost and those who look the part but are no longer convicted by the sin that lies in secret in their heart. I know it's uncomfortable again tonight. This was not my plan. But the moment I stepped into this worship service, the Holy Ghost spoke to me and God said, "I'm not done doing surgery on some hearts.

There are people here that need me to wake their soul up. Their body is in a building, but their soul has grown distant from me. They've grown up in the church. they know all the right verses. they know how to sing all the right songs. But I don't just want their behavior. I want their soul to be passionate for me. I want their soul to be on fire for me. I want their heart to hunger after me. Piano player, if you could come, we're going to, like we did last night, we're just going to figure out how the Lord wants this thing to end. Do not let apathy rob your soul of your love and passion for Jesus. Don't let cynicism listen. If you grew up in this thing like I did, you're going to get offended by people in the church. And offense can build a brick wall between you and the spirit of God.

Do not let anything, do not let offense, do not let your screen addiction, do not let cynicism, do not let secret sin rob you of your passion for the Lord. So, how do these companies recover? My goodness. How do we recover? How do we stop the hack? How do we how do how do we come back from this? See, this is this is going to be so simple. It's going to feel like a letdown. Okay. See, these powerful companies got in trouble because they did not take the time to do the basic things. They did not take the time to update their security. So, you know what they did to get their company back? They went to Best Buy and got like a hundred new computers and just kept them up to date. They simply updated their software. It's crazy, eh? I mean, like that's all they had to do.

Listen to Romans 12:1. Do not be slothful in zeal. Be fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord. This is This sounds too simple, Adam. It sounds like you mean my heart has suffered a silent incursion of the enemy and you're telling me the answer to it all is to be fervent in spirit and serve the Lord. If you've been fighting apathy, what you need to do is simply put yourself back into the place where you can become on fire again. It's not easy. You do the simple thing. You do the basic thing. I'm dealing with a young man that felt disconnected from God, disconnected from church. He had backslid for most of his teenage and young adult life. And now he's in his early 30s and he was starting to struggle. The world was calling his name. The world was calling after him, but he was messing up.

What do I need to do, Adam, to get my heart back? You need to get to the altar and pray. so that the Holy Ghost can light your soul on fire again. You need to do the basic thing to get your passion back. You need to pray and be filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost. Be fervent in spirit. Stir up your passion again. I don't feel like an Adam. I don't even want to pray. I just want to go and I want to experience the rest of the night. Feelings are overrated. If you put yourself in the presence of God and you earnestly seek him, soon God will begin to reignite your soul again with his spirit. Be fervent in worship. Be fervent in prayer. Be fervent and passionate in your seeking of the Lord. And here's something that's so amazing. The analysis of the author of this book talked about this hack.

He says, "The country these hackers came from, here's what he said, they're a wounded animal, and the final stages of death collapse of itself. And this incursion is their last death rattle. before their empire fades off the scene. I am preaching tonight. I am preaching to reignite your soul. See, the reason why Satan tries to inject apathy into our hearts is because he knows how powerful you will be when you are on fire for God. When people aren't passionate for the Lord, they have no trouble living holy because they want to please God. giving and sacrifice and faithfulness are easy because passionate people say, "God, I want to worship you with my whole heart." People who are on fire for the Lord, they love what God loves. They hate what God hates. You have no problem witnessing because everywhere you go, you start feeling the same love for the lost that the Lord has for you.

People who aren't passionate for God, they are called to serve his kingdom and they have a purpose. People who are passionate for God walk in apostolic anointing. Even as they struggle to grow, even as they fall forward, the Lord picks them up and uses them because their heart says, "God, I got to have you. God, I got to have you. God, I got to have you." This altar call, this altar is open right now. This altar call is for everybody. Students, parents, leaders. Sometimes sometimes we can work for God so long that we mistake doing stuff for him as spending time with him. And God is going to come along sometimes and go, "Hey, I miss time with you. I want to talk with you. How's your heart doing, young man? How's your soul doing? I said, I'm so grateful that because of my wife, my son is six generations, one that's apostolic, but his heritage is only as strong as his own hunger for God as he exits his pre-teen years into his teen years.

I'm glad your mom took you to Sunday school. I'm glad your grandpa was the usher. I'm glad that you may have a family heritage in the kingdom of God. If you have been raised in this thing, Indiana has got this great heritage. You've got this amazing history in the apostolic movement where so much has happened. But can I tell you, standing on the shoulders of giants only makes a difference if in your own heart you say, "God, I've got to be on fire for you, too." Oh, God. Oh God, God make us on fire for you. Jesus, burn away the noise. Jesus, burn away the apathy. God, if there is pride in this room where we will say that we are good, we're fine, we have need of nothing, God, I pray that your spirit, God, would gently call us to a place of prayer, Lord, so that we will see, God, that our righteousness is as filthy rags, God, if you're not in it, Lord, we need you.

This altar call tonight is very simple. I simply want you to pray. I simply want you, In fact, we're just going to stay right here. The band can come up in a moment, but just stay right here. Just stay. This whole room is now a prayer meeting. This whole room is now a prayer meeting for us all. All of us, campers, staff, leaders, moms and dads, it doesn't matter who you are for you to pray, "God, make me on fire. Make me on fire." Come on. That's it. Pray until the Holy Spirit is changing you. Pray until the Holy Ghost makes you alive again. The enemy has been fighting you because he knows God is calling you. The enemy has been fighting you because he knows that God wants to anoint you. Seek him. Seek him. There is destiny on the other side of your passion.

There is calling on the other side of your passion. Seek the Lord. Seek the Lord. Seek the Lord. That's just seek the Lord. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Seek the Lord until he reignites your soul. Seek the Lord until he makes your heart come alive. Seek the Lord until the Holy Ghost breaks forth and you begin to pray in the spirit. You begin to pray and your heart is connected to God and it feels like the room is slipped away and it's just you and Jesus. Seek him. Seek him. Seek him. Jesus. Jesus. That's it. That's it. Push right now. I know some of you were waiting for the singing or the band to come in to tell you how to respond, but this is not about that. This is about your own heart connecting with God as you connect with. There's no condemnation in this.

God is not condemning you if your heart has fallen asleep. God is not condemning you because you've allowed apathy to take over your heart. He's calling you awake. He's calling you awake. He's calling you to himself. That's it. That's it. Seek him.
