Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

A Father's Joy: Family Recognized, a Father Honored

  • The speaker opens on Father's Day as a proud father of three, recognizing his wife Ann — a marvelous gift of God's grace and a true helpmeet — and their children: Nathan, a missionary, church planter in Ennis, Montana, and father of Eowyn; Natalie, an anointed co-pastor of Greater Life Church in Princeton, Minnesota; and Abigail, an anointed minister of music at Calvary Gospel Church in Madison, Wisconsin.
  • He honors his father, Hugh Martin Thompson, who passed away December 8, 2019 — a hard railroad-working signalman, an extravagant giver, and a priest of the home who never hardly ever stood behind a pulpit but had his pulpit at home.
  • All of his father's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren walk in the truth — and he echoes John: "I have no greater joy than this, than to hear that my children are walking in truth."

Scriptures: 3 John 4

Be the Dad: Being Over Title

  • "Father" seems formal — it speaks of the progenitor, the giver of life; "dad" is more casual and speaks of action: being a leader, a lover, a guide. The theme is "be the dad."
  • "Be" means to exist, to live — a state of being, not just a title. Children need a dad who is present more than anything he might buy; it is who he is and the time he spends.
  • The text is Numbers 11:26: two men remained in the camp — Eldad and Medad — and the Spirit rested upon them, and they prophesied in the camp.
  • Their names preach the theme: Eldad means "God's love" and Medad means one who puts forth, who expresses, God's love — names declared over them by a father who must first have lived the example for them to fulfill them.

Scriptures: Numbers 11:26

Creation: The God Who Speaks, and Man in His Image

  • Genesis 1:1: in the beginning God — Elohim, the supreme God, alone having complete power intrinsic within Himself — created the heavens and the earth.
  • In verse 3, "God said, let there be light": His authority and power are actuated by His spoken word, repeated over and over as He speaks the universe into existence.
  • Mankind is God's final and crowning creation, uniquely created in His very image — not spoken into existence as all the other creation, but literally formed by God and breathed into by God.

Scriptures: Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:3

Adam in the Garden: Tend It, Keep It, and the Keys

  • In Genesis 2 the Lord God took the man He had formed and put him into the garden of Eden to tend it — to dress it and make it become — and to keep it: to protect, to guard, to preserve. Work existed before the fall; it just was not cursed with toil.
  • God gave Adam the law of the garden — of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he shall not eat — and handed him the keys of authority, which Adam activated by his speaking as he named the animals, just as his Creator does.
  • The God-relationship existed before the Eve-relationship: Adam was primarily a priest unto God, and secondarily a priest into his home. With authority comes responsibility, for authority is responsibility.
  • Eve was created from Adam's side as a helper — the Hebrew word means to aid, assist, support, to surround and protect — a companion in complementary support whose differences divinely balance and correspond to the man.

Scriptures: Genesis 2

Crowned with Glory: Dominion and the Family Foundation

  • David asks in Psalms 8, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" — yet God has crowned him with glory and honor and made him to have dominion over the works of His hands, putting all things under his feet. A crown speaks of authority and power.
  • In Genesis 1:27-28, after the creation of Eve, God blessed them and said to them together: be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, subdue it, have dominion — each with their own role, working in unity and oneness, finding their strength and source in God.
  • The family is God's first foundation in all cultures — it precedes Israel, which is nothing but a family name, and it precedes the church, which is cooperating families gathered together. Where the family crumbles, the civilization crumbles.
  • Satan hates the beauty and authority found within the family, because the family is a typology of Christ and the church — and since the father, the dad, is the head of that foundational block, the dad is the target.

Scriptures: Psalms 8:4-6; Genesis 1:27-28

The Fall: Adam Leaves the Keys on the Table

  • In Genesis 3 the serpent, more crafty than any beast of the field, spoke to the woman; she took of the fruit and ate, and gave also to Adam with her, and he ate.
  • The Bible tells us in Hebrews that the woman was deceived, but Adam was not — he saw and knew exactly what was happening, yet he allowed the devil into his dominion unchallenged, let his wife face the devil all by herself without protecting her, and did not speak up when she partook, even partaking with her.
  • When the Lord God came to the garden He called to the man — "Where are you?" — not to Eve, because He had given Adam the keys before Eve was ever brought into his life. That call still sounds to dads today: where are you, hiding in the midst of that which I gave you authority over?
  • Satan cannot take your keys — he does not have the authority. A dad has to leave them on the table; the day Adam failed to keep them, he died to what could have been had he kept them.

Scriptures: Genesis 3; Hebrews (book-only, as spoken)

Sinai to Numbers 11: Priests Who Stepped Back

  • One year before Numbers 11, at Mount Sinai, God invited all Israel into His presence to seal His covenant: they were to become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation — every person under the King a priest. But the people trembled, withdrew from the mountain, and told Moses, "Be our go-between" — and the kingdom of priests was never fulfilled in the Old Testament.
  • In Numbers 11 the people, sick of manna, weep for meat; verse 10 says Moses heard the weeping throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent — the grumbling in the house follows the example of the head standing at the tent door, living in the midst of the miraculous without a relationship.
  • Moses cries out under the burden: it was not he who conceived or brought forth this people, and he alone is not able to carry them — men had backed away from the responsibility of their own relationship with God and were happy to let Moses mediate for them, which is why pastors burn out.
  • God graciously answers Moses' complaint and instructs him to gather seventy elders of Israel before the tabernacle, promising: "I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and place it upon them."

Scriptures: Numbers 11; Numbers 11:10

Eldad and Medad: Rise Up and Prophesy

  • When the Spirit rests on the seventy at the tabernacle they prophesy — and the same power falls on Eldad and Medad, who never made it to the tabernacle, and they prophesy in the camp, in the middle of the congregation. A young man runs to report it, and Joshua urges Moses to forbid them.
  • Moses turns Joshua's jealousy aside: are you worried about my image? "I would God that all the Lord's people were prophets" — and God did put His Spirit upon His people in the book of Acts.
  • The curse the first Adam could not overcome was answered in Christ, who took the keys back; the power of Christ is within men today, and God is asking men to rise up, grab hold of their keys, and enter their purpose as priests of their homes.
  • The Father's Day call: between this Father's Day and next, say "Family, I've been wrong — I left the keys," lead your family at the altar, and step into the revival of men understanding who they are. The response rises: "I'll be what You want me to be — that's what I'll do."

thank you very much brother dennis and happy father's day to all of the fathers who are here today and i can say that i'm a proud father of three i would like to recognize my wife ann if she doesn't mind standing she is yes and means grace and she's a marvelous gift of god's grace and a true help meet she's a revered health coach and anoint and an anointed minister of the gospel of jesus christ and i love you with everything that i have and together we have three children nathan the husband of scotia leonardson father of eowyn he's a missionary to the family co-founder of man up adventures in an anointed church planter in ennis montana natalie wife to keith manley she's an office manager a talented musician and an anointed co-pastor of greater life church in princeton minnesota and my youngest daughter abigail wife to jordan mother to two

dogs she's a pet groomer extraordinaire and an anointed minister of music at calvary gospel church in madison wisconsin i would like to give honor today to pastor wilford for the invitation also associate pastor brother river and the men's director our leader buddy delong i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them and i do count it a great honor to minister to you on father's day i also like to mention and express my appreciation to a friend and associate adam dennis and my co-worker dianna sanders and also to give honor to all of you the saints of this wonderful church apostolic pentecostal church i also at the outset would like to honor my father hugh martin thompson who passed away december eighth 8th 2019 just over six months ago he was a hard railroad working signalman and a servant to ministry robert saban said of him i would start a

church anywhere along with hugh thompson he was an extravagant giver and he was a priest of our home and i'm grateful that he was not just my father but he was also my dad is there a difference father and dad father seems kind of formal i never sign my texts or emails to my children love father just doesn't seem right i i it's love dad and when we think about it father in its formality really kind of speaks about being the progenitor the gear of life and when you think of dad in contrast to it dad seems more casual and speaks of actions of being a leader a lover a guide being dad and i think of my father i say i do miss him today and can say of him that today all of his children grandchildren and great grandchildren not missing one walk in the truth amen and i'd like to say dads are not just dads and my dad never hardly ever was behind a

pulpit but he had his pulpit at home no doubt about it but um all of his children are involved in some level of ministry and as i said you can never father and add ever begin to measure your influence as the generations come and go your influence ripples on and on and i echo with john as he says in 3rd john verse 4 i have no greater joy than this than to hear that my children are walking in truth amen so today's theme is be the dad be the dad b means to exist live it's a state of being it's not just a title it's who you are to me father kind of symbolizes more the title dad is more about being than doing and that's really what our children need is a present existent in the present father dad rather than what he does oftentimes it's not so much what he they that he might buy but it's who he is in the time that he spends i'd like to turn

your attention to my text this morning in numbers chapter 11 and verse number 26 reading from the new king james version numbers chapter 11 verse 26 two men however remained in the camp the name of the one was eldad and the name of the other was me dad and the spirit rested upon them now they were among those listed but who had not gone out to the tabernacle yet they prophesied in the camp eldad and maydad or me dad i think aldad must have been spanish because l means the he's the dad that kind of fits with the title and the whole theme so the dad and me dad yeah me dad i'm not sure we think that they probably were brothers and i kind of wonder how they would say it back and forth held at me dad well dad me yeah me dad i'm not sure but nonetheless we're going to take a look at two dads maybe just because they're called dad eldad and

maydad me dad and take a look at not really in hebrew it isn't really ldad as we would say in english and mediad but in hebrew it's el dod el referring to god and dodd meaning love his name was god's love wow now that's something i'd like to have be said of eldad god's love and maydad is may dodd or me as we were saying media i was saying me dad it's really may dodd and me means to put forth and again god means love which literally means one who expresses love god's love one brother and the expression of god's love is the other now somebody had to name them correct they didn't later in life choose that but it was something that was declared prophetically by a father in order to make that proclamation i would think he would have to live the example for them to be able to fulfill the name which would tend for me to believe even though we

don't know who the father of eldad and madod is that he himself must have fulfilled the very things that he gave as a name before i go into the context of our story in numbers of chapter 11 i like to take us way back into some earlier context beginning in genesis 1 1. it says in the beginning god elohim the supreme god almighty alone having complete power power that is intrinsic within him hence as being alone and god all power and has its source in him alone and the bible says that he created the heavens and the earth and then in verse number three of that first chapter it says and god said let there be light and god said repeated over and over in the creation of the universe by the authority of his spoken word he creates the heaven and the earth and all that's within them so his authority and his power is actuated by the speaking of his

word he's the one who has all source of power and it all comes from him and he is almighty and he uses his voice to speak things into existence god's final and crowning creation is mankind uniquely created in the very image of god meaning that we are his image bearers man was not spoken into existence as all the other creation but literally formed by god and then breathed into by god in genesis chapter 2 starting with number verse 15 through 18 then the lord god took the man this is after his creation of him put him into the garden of eden to tend it and to keep it and the lord god commanded the man saying of every tree of the garden you may freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die and the lord god said it's not good that man should be alone i

will make a helper comparable to him i know these are familiar scriptures but let me take a brief look into the origin and the beginning of man so the lord god took the man that he had formed and he placed him into the garden that god had created to tend now this is prior to eve this is prior to the fall work existed before the fall it just was not cursed with toil we don't know what that's like but i believe in the power of the holy spirit we can discover how it is to live in work that is without toil and so the lord speaks to him and he says to him to tend which the king james translates it work literally means to dress the garden to make it become he planted a garden but he put man in it and he said to man i'm empowering you to take what i have created and make it become how can you make something that's perfect become i don't know

that i can fully understand it but he was given the garden to tend of course prior to the curse i wouldn't think he'd be killing because the weeds do not yet exist but nevertheless god who is creative released authority in that man to take what was in his garden and make it something and then he says to him and keep it now again understanding prior to the curse but the lord is saying keep it and it literally needs from the strong's definition to protect to guard take heed preserve so adam is placed into the garden as he's placed into the garden god says make it become something i'm releasing you and i'm giving you authority and i'm giving you power to make it something and keep it protect it guard it watch over it preserve it there was no evil and no evil had yet entered the garden but the very next thing god does is he says to him in

this garden there's a tree of the knowledge of good and evil and he gives them the law of the garden and he places man in that garden with the law of the garden that there is a tree in the middle of the garden of knowledge of good and evil that you shall not eat of it for in the day that you eat of it you should surely die and he gives him authority in that garden and if i can say he like hands him the keys to the garden god's speaking this is a conversation there's this relationship between god and adam understand the god relationship in adam existed before the eve relationship and it is in this god relationship this vertical relationship that he begins to give him authority and i'm not going to take the time to go into all the authority but he he he tells them as he begins god begins to create all the animals and he brings them all

before adam and he says you name them god's creative but he's given creation a creative ability to us and he's saying you name them and so he's given this man authority and this man has the power just like his father just like his creator and it has the keys to the authority to that garden have been placed into adam's hand and adam just like god can activate that by his speaking and he says elephant and that's the name of it he spoke it that was the authority so god delegates or he confers power and authority to adam especially in understanding as we said tending and keeping the garden giving him the law of the garden he needed to keep his priority relationship with god marked by obedience we understand with authority comes responsibility for authority is responsibility and then at the end of that he says it's not good for man to be alone

so he creates eve from the side of the man and he then when he presents eve to adam if you can imagine he's been in a deep sleep and god takes from his side and he begins and he forms this creation from his side and i can't help but think it's that thompson what chain translation or whatever um that as he's created this woman and he's finally got to all of it complete and done that the grandstands of heaven are all waiting he's got it veiled he's got to wait for it wait for adam to wake up adam comes too and god's ready to unveil this wonderful creation and he gets ready he grabs all the corner of the cloth that's covering this masterpiece and he pulls it back and all that adam could say is whoa man that's a dead joke okay he with the addition of eve he gains more authority not because he is a lord over her but because god took her from

his side she is from him and for him and the lord speaks and says that she is a helper this defines the first time in the bible in that aspect and i'm not gonna go again into the depths of all of this but just to help us understand that word in hebrew is easier and it means to aid assist support it's prime root azer means to surround and protect or aid i thank god for my helper i thank god for my wife who surrounds and protects and aids eve was to be a companion in complementary support her differences divinely balance and correspond to the man and helper is the first statement in the bible concerning the woman's role in relationship to her husband and it's the logic to assume by means of definition that adam was to hold the leadership position so adam was a priest and to god priest to god first mentioned the priest in the bible

concerning mel tesadek i want you to understand that we've convoluted the definition of priest according it's original because as melchizedek was a priest it was that he was a priest unto god it was a man who entered into entered into the presence of god a man who worshipped and served god and this relationship adam had and i'm building a foundation here for us today to understand the importance of a dad not to diminish anything else but simply to emphasize the absolute especially in this culture the importance of a dad he was primarily a priest unto god and secondarily adam was a priest into his home who already had received the law of the garden and the keys of the garden david describes it this way in psalms chapter 8 verses 4 through 6 what is man that you are mindful of him the son of man that you visit him he's just in awe for you

have made him lower than the angels but you have crowned him with glory and honor what is a crown a crown speaks of authority and power he has crowned him with glory and honor and have made him to have dominion over the works of your hands to put all things under his feet as a matter of fact in genesis 1 27-28 after the creation of eve god blessed them and said to them be fruitful and multiply fill the earth subdue it have dominion together as husband and wife in a beautiful relationship with god almighty no other thing in creation can compare to this wonderful unity of husband wife and god so unique in all the creation this marvelous thing together they have dominion each of them has their own role and as they work together in unity and oneness and they both find their strength and their source in god what a powerful powerful symbol of

authority in this world in dominion so we take a look at them and i want us to understand that satan absolutely hates the beauty and the authority that's found within the family because man was created lower than the angels and here he is the prince of all angels the one who had the highest seed amongst angels but because of his pride he fell from heaven he no longer has authority he's been kicked out and been stripped of everything and now here he is and he sees man and he sees woman and he sees this unique relationship that god has in creation nothing like it and it can't help but bother him that this this man in this relationship has something that i don't have i want to back up and also say that the family is god's foundational god's first foundational um source or foundation within all cultures the very first thing he created was the

family all of civilization is built upon a family in every civilization where the family crumbles the civilization crumbles it is the power of god it's the foundation of god matter of fact israel came way later than the family in israel is nothing but a family name it was a it was just a family that was together collaborating cooperating worshiping under the same laws with god almighty the family precedes everything the family precedes the church the church is cooperating collaborating families that have gathered together here today it's all built upon the family and what i want you to understand darkness hates that darkness hates families because everything that operates in harmony and unity and glorifies god satan wants to tear down he doesn't like it that's the whole reason for the agenda that's in our world today to destroy the family

because it's a typology of christ in the church and the beauty of what god created in the beginning and when you begin to think of that foundation that he created that is what all civilizations and societies are built upon and the head of that is the father or the dad so who do you think is the target if it is the foundation of all civilizations and the head of that block is the father satan is after you dad satan is after you just like he was after adam so in genesis chapter 3 now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the lord god had made and he said to the woman indeed as god said you should not eat from any tree of the garden jumping down to verse number six now when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was desirable to make one wise she took from

its fruit and ate and she gave also to adam with her and he ate verses 8 9 and they adam and eve heard the sound of the lord god walking in the garden the cool of day and adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the lord god amongst the trees of the garden and the lord god called to the man the lord god called to adam but wait a minute i thought it was e the day of the fruit first the bible tells us in hebrews that the woman was deceived but adam was not that means he saw and knew exactly what was happening and when the lord shows up after the fall of mankind the husband and wife he does not call eve he calls adam why because before he ever created eve and brought an eve into his life he had already given him the keys to the garden satan cannot take your keys he doesn't have authority and i have to ask myself a little where

was adam because when we take up to look at the scripture and the lord god called unto adam and said where are you and i think in this day more than any day he's screaming to the men to the dads and saying where are you where are you i came to the garden that i gave you the keys and authority of and i can't find you why are you hiding in the midst of that which i gave you authority over some people may ask the question well if god knew that the serpent was going to come into the garden and tempt eve why didn't he come to adam and say to adam adam next tuesday just about a few hours after sunrise there's going to be a serpent that comes and he's going to he is going to try to deceive eve if he knew that was going to happen why didn't he warn adam he didn't have to warn adam because he already gave adam authority that when the serpent came

into the garden and began to speak he had a voice that could speak with authority to the serpent and say wait a minute not in this garden and i'm here to tell you that god needs some men to rise up and to be able to have some authority in the proper way within their garden that can stand up from time to time and say wait a minute darkness not in this garden so he allowed the devil the serpent into his dominion unchallenged he allowed his wife to be in close proximity with forbidden fruit without protecting her he watched his wife take on the devil all by herself he did not speak up when she partook of the fruit and even partook of it with her and we stop and we say come on what's wrong adam but we will only look at ourselves unfortunately i'm a child of adam and when i see that i see that i've done some of those things myself i've missed

the boat you see he can't get the keys to the garden i have to leave him on the table and he's looking for authority over your family but he can't have it as long as you're wearing his shoes and you've got keys but the day you get out of your shoes and let another get in him and the day you leave the keys to authority hear me dad he's watching because he's authority hungry to take your keys and step into your shoes satan struck not only of what god said about the tree of knowledge and good and evil but also at god's relational order for the couples the couple satan's attack was strategic calculated with a massive spiritual implication because that day adam did not drop dead but he died to what could have been had he kept the keys adam lost far more than simply access to a garden well what's that got to do with eldad and maydad you see

i'll take another step forward and give us a little bit of an overview that leads us to the story in the 11th chapter of numbers one year prior to the 11th chapter of numbers the children of israel had just exited egypt and in their exiting of egypt they came to mount sinai when they came to mount sinai the very first thing that god did was ask them to sanctify and set themselves apart and he told them that they were to put a boundary around mount sinai so that no one would go above that boundary and that they were to prepare themselves because in three days he said i'm going to ask all israel to come up into the mountain into my presence so they all prepared they all did everything that was necessary and he also told the children of israel on the third day you're going to hear a loud blast of a horn signifying when it's time to come up

into the mountain on the third day if you can just put yourself in that situation here they are around their tents there's all this anticipation and all of a sudden lightning and thundering begins to happen in the mountain and the sound of a ram's horn blasting loud as god is saying come into my presence and the children walk up to that set boundary and the lord then gives them they can hear the voice of god they can hear him this thundering and he is giving them the ten commandments all of israel is there in the presence of the lord they're trembling even moses trembled exceedingly they were in the presence of god but what took place at that point in the presence of god the men the elders of the children of israel came and approached moses and they said unto moses this has never happened in the history of mankind that men and women and

the people can come into the presence of god and live without dying now we have got to pull back lest we die and it's like wait a minute here wait a minute are you dead i mean you're already in the presence of the lord and when the lord spoke to them to the from the mountain what he told them and what he told them through moses is is that when i make this call you to the mountain this is to seal my covenant with you that i want you to be a chosen nation or a peculiar people us people set aside for me and he said i want you to become a kingdom of priests and then a holy nation i want you to stop and think about that's his invitation to them my will for you i'm casting it the very first thing out of his mouth on top of the mountain the very first words recorded from mount sinai he's speaking to him this is my will for you you're going to be

special like nobody else in the whole world you're going to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation and a kingdom of priest means every person under the king's domain is a priest so what happens when they get into that presence they begin to tremble and they're saying to moses wait a minute we're going to die if we stay in this presence but that was the whole point yes this has never happened in the history of mankind before but you got to understand this is my will for you i'm bringing you into a close relationship so that you understand me and that you'll fear me and that you'll guide your families and guide your children but the bible says that they withdrew from the mountain and they came to moses and they said to moses be our go-between be our mediator for us and the kingdom of priest was never fulfilled in the old testament and

you find it all the way through the old testament as a future thing and peter declares to the church all of the old promises that they missed are now ours we are a kingdom of priests but let me take you here again that happened one year before numbers 11. after receiving the law and all the ceremonial laws and the instructions for the tabernacle and civil civil laws one year god then asked them to move they traveled from the mountain three days journey already the people began to murmur and complain it displeased the lord and fire came from god and burned among and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp that's why it's dangerous to live on the edge the people cried out to moses moses prayed to the lord and the fire died out no sooner had the fire stopped and the children of israel began to complain about the food for the last year

they've been eating manna and they began to chant we want meat we want meat tears coming down from their faces they're sick and tired of the year the same thing the manna and they're asking for meat they remembered the free fish that they used to get in egypt but apparently they forgot the bitter taste of bondage that accompanied the free food we're sick of manna they said isn't it amazing how the communists and the familiarity the miraculous can result in dissatisfaction in apathy when you don't have a relationship that they chose to thwart and it tells us in the 10th verse of the 11th chapter moses heard the weeping of the people throughout their families every man in the door of his tent that doesn't mean mankind that means the head of every house was representing all the grumbling and complaining that was in the house where do you

think the grumbling and complaining in the house came from the example standing at the tent door while they were living in the midst of the miraculous without a relationship their hearts grew cold at this time god and moses became outraged and if you look as we read on verse number 11 he said moses cries out and he says why have you been so hard on your servant why have i not found favor in your sight that you've laid the burden of all this people upon me was it i who conceived all this people was it i who brought forth brought them forth that you should say carry them in your bosom and nurse as a nurse carries a nursing infant into the land that you swore your fathers where am i going to get meat for all this people for they weep before me saying give us meat that we may eat i alone am not able to carry all this people because it's too

burdensome for me so if you're going to deal thus with me please kill me at once if i found favor in your sight and do not let me see my wretchedness oh what he's saying is god this wasn't my plan you wanted all men to be priests of their home they backed away from the responsibility and were happy to allow me to be their mediator and to go to god and get what voice from god for them rather than them getting the voice from god themselves and now look where this has taken us they're crying out for quail we're in a quail fix at this time we're in a dire situation i didn't ask for this i can't carry the burden of all these people it's too much for me and sometimes we wonder why pastors are in burnout when there are men who are willingly to come week in and week out and abdicate the responsibility of a relationship and put it on the shoulders

of a pastor and say mediate on my behalf you go to god when god's asking you to be the priest and go to him and have a relationship with him yourself dig into his word yourself leaking out of moses complaint is a broader setting than this present incident it's a deeper infection than the surface blister why have you afflicted me that you've laid the burden of all this people upon me i'm not able to carry him myself he reminds god how he got into this mediator nurse position in the first place it wasn't on his account besides the men the dads are not standing with him but in their tent doors weeping and complaining again there's the sense where are the men god graciously addresses moses complaint and he instructs moses to gather 70 elders of israel to appear to appear with moses before the tabernacle and god said i will take the spirits

upon you and i'll place it upon them so moses gathers the men together and then we in the scripture we have a little episode where this whole thing about them crying out for the quail goes through and god discuss all that but at the end of the chapter 11 is where we come to the story of eldad and madod and what takes place is that moses takes the 70 and he goes to the tabernacle and the power and the pillar of fire rests upon the tabernacle and god takes that spirit in authority that was on moses and begins to share it and move it upon the seventy and the bible says that when the spirit of the lord rested upon them they began to prophesy really what it is is like god saying this is my plan all along so then what takes place is and we really don't know and i couldn't discover through my study exactly whether or not el dad and may dad were

one of the 70 or if it was supposed to be 72 but only 70 got there i'm not sure or for what the case was but two of them never made it to the tabernacle but instead because the tabernacle was separated from the people they were still out in the sanctuary amongst the people and the same power that fell upon the men at the tabernacle fell upon eldord and maydad while they were still in the congregation and all of a sudden they start prophesying in the congregation this is something that's never happened before what's going on i think we need to shut these guys up something's out of place my goodness we got men prophesying in the pew how in the world and all of a sudden a young man sees this going on and he runs to moses and it goes to moses he says moses moses moses we got a couple of dudes a couple of dads out there and they're prophesying

in the middle of the congregation and what happens is joshua the protege he's coming up and he's this man who's coming up in the shadows of of moses and he stands up and he stands next to abra to to moses and he says moses and he's thinking like he's a big man he's trying to help moses out he says moses we've got to forbid these men we can't let them do that and moses turns to joshua and says what's wrong are you worried about me are you jealous for me over me are you worried about my image and then i can't help but think that he literally screams out i would god that all the lord's people were prophets i will would will that god would have all his lord's people be prophets and that he had put his spirit upon them and in them he did that in the book of acts i feel the holy ghost here the curse that the first adam couldn't overcome we come

by it rightfully i tried to show it to you because we have an adamic nature but the spirit that overcame and took the keys back to the garden was found in christ he came and he took the keys does not the scripture say it he went down to hell and took the keys back away and he has the keys and you have the power of christ within you and you have authority and what he's asking for is he's saying to the church right now it's time for men to rise up and to grab a hold of their keys and claim what it was that god intended from the very beginning not only that but what he's looking for in this hour in this moment is for you to enter into your purpose and to start prophesying you say but wait a minute that's going to be that that's not going to work because i've got a pastor up here don't you worry one bit your pastor would love nothing better

than a half of the men in this church to have a spirit of prophecy start moving upon him i'm telling you why because there's an end that's coming and we're never going to have a revival that he wants us to have unless the men don't stand up we've got to stand up we've got to move into our rightful position as priests as our home training our children one family at a time converting the city of saint louis bringing people back into right relationship with god because we have men who are willing to stand and be the example and hold the keys in their home do you not see all hell is against you do you not see that all hell is against the family gender distinction let's wipe it out why because when it's wiped out authority is wiped out it is strategic it's intentional not that we as men are arrogant dictators that's not what christ was matter

of fact the word helper that represents the wife is only mentioned two times in reference to the woman and about 70 times in the scripture it's used to represent god who is our helper and he's looking to us because this church will not be any stronger than its men and on father's day i'm asking you to make a consideration for a commitment that between this father's day and next father's day that with grace love love god's love showing god's love not harshness not domineering but maybe using the great big w word and say family i've been wrong i've been wrong i haven't led i never understood i left the keys and i'm here to tell you when you get the keys back i pray you get your children back and it gives you authority and a ministry begins to blossom in your life not just your life but men all across the sanctuary because this church this

body in its history goes back to the roots of the first movement of the oneness apostolic movement across the united states and why should this not this church not be the epicenter for the latter day revival but please hear me please hear me this is how it's going to happen not on the backs of interceding women which we thank god for them but when the men say i'll be the first one in the altar to worship and i shall lead my family and i shall set that example that the world is screaming and crying for and when you get a hold of your purpose as a man and you submit and get a relationship with god you will discover your anointing and your ministry and ministries will begin to blossom and grow all across the sanctuary because men will then be leading their families into ministry because god needs an army to rise up right now because the time

is short will you respond to his call let us stand revival is coming there's a revival that is happening of men understanding who they are and stepping into the right place i know there's a lot to teach to help you understand what i'm talking about and i know that only had a short time today but there's a revival and i'm calling you to be a part of that great revival because there's an army that is rising up and there are men who need to begin to use their voice because they've been given authority they first have to be in submission with their head uncovered to their heavenly father because it is impossible for us to ask for submission which means to be beneath our mission when we don't have a mission but when we have a relationship and we begin to get that mission brother for you that power that anointing that authority your wife is

going to step up beside it where she was created beside you not ten steps behind you or ten steps in front of you leading you but beside you as you enter into your ministry if you're here today and you're saying that sounds like what i want i'm asking you to step out and to come and make on father's day a public declaration that in the next 12 months with the help of almighty god i am going to step into my role and help god to help me to understand and to walk into what he's asking me why because i'm telling you the world demands it there is revival that is here there's revival that wants to spread out of this community and out of this church and it's going to come through men who step back into the relationship with god and he gives them purpose and they rise up as an army that is rising up in this last hour will you come will you

respond is i'll be what you want me to be in jesus that's what i'll be yes lord would you put a hand up in the name of jesus come on claim it in the name of jesus i'm going to be part of the revival that apostolic pentecostal church lord i give myself to the claws in the name of jesus i give myself to the closet in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name jesus name in jesus name hallelujah believe it lord i receive it in the name of jesus i commit myself to this pause for this moment in this hour in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name i believe in god count on me god come on me god all of you there's a family that's counting on me jesus oh god with you i can do all things through christ who strengthens me i release your spirit to anointing power god as we make a commitment to you in the name of jesus take my hands take my feet lord
