Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The God of peace will crush Satan under my feet

  • The service opens by declaring that the God of peace crushes Satan under the believers' feet, and the congregation is urged to praise and dance like people who already have the victory.
  • Prayer is made for needs of healing, salvation and provision, and for comfort for bereaved families, in the confidence that God is healer, saviour and provider.
  • Gibson then turns to self-evaluation: drawing on Memorial Day, his father's war stories, military evaluation and the idea of a play under review, he argues believers must honestly assess themselves, because help comes from God and not from ourselves.

Scriptures: Romans 16:20; Romans 16

Joshua, Jericho, and the danger of pride after victory

  • Joshua leads Israel across the Jordan to Jericho, a city God promised them, under strict instructions: march around the walls, shout on the seventh day, destroy what God commanded, and bring the silver, brass and gold into the treasury of the Lord.
  • Some things in the city were not to be touched because they could harm Israel.
  • After Jericho's fame spreads, scouts underestimate Ai and say only about three thousand men are needed; those men flee before the enemy and some are killed.
  • Gibson warns that pride can tear a life apart, and that whatever God does should be met with thanks and humility rather than self-confidence.

Defeat at Ai reveals something hidden in the camp

  • Joshua tears his clothes, puts dust on his head and falls on his face before God, asking what has gone wrong after so great a victory at Jericho.
  • God answers that Israel cannot stand before their enemies because there are corrupt and accursed things in the camp that must be destroyed and exterminated.
  • Achan had taken spoil for himself, and the message stresses that his sin brought destruction on his household and the generations after him.
  • Unrecognised sin quietly drains power, so the first step toward restored victory is for God to show what is hidden.

Lay aside every weight and purge what weighs you down

  • Gibson takes up the call to lay aside every weight that knocks a believer off balance; in the heat of battle, whatever is not truly needed is cast away in order to gain the victory.
  • A thing may not begin as sin, but it becomes sin when it weighs a person down, matters more than victory, or threatens to keep them — or their children — from heaven.
  • Believers must evaluate what they carry and ask whether it is of God, whether they truly need it, and whether they can do without it.
  • Not everything that comes is simply a cross or a thorn that must be carried; God is presented as a delivering and overcoming God who is able to free his people.

Teach the next generation, then ask God what is blocking victory

  • Parents and grandparents are urged to teach children the principles of God — not only the ways of life — and to fill the home with the Word, so the next generation has strength to purge when purging is required.
  • A young grandchild singing about holiness and praying at the table is used as a picture of something being established in a child's heart that is worth fighting for.
  • The closing appeal asks what thing — or what person or friendship — is keeping each hearer from victory, and calls the congregation to get over pride and fall before God asking him to show what is lacking.
  • The altar closes with prayer for a clean heart and a right spirit, followed by the charge to keep doing self-evaluation: delighting and meditating in the law of God day and night, and purging whatever in daily life takes up room that belongs to God.

So good to see all of you out today loving the Lord, lifting up the Lord. Thankful for the red, white, and blue.

How about you? I said, I am thankful for the red, white, and blue. I'm thankful for what it represents. I'm thankful for my father and my my relatives that served in the military through the I'm thankful that we honor every year those who paid the sacrifice. Now I can almost guarantee not 100% but almost 100%. Nobody joined the military to die on a battlefield. They joined because they believed in a cause. They believed in protection. They believed that if they didn't do it, who would? And as it turns out, young men and women have died on battlefields and never come home.

So our nation remembers that. Thankful that my time in the military I was able to to go in to learn to grow and get out and pray every year the blessing and the protection of the Lord. Amen. But listen carefully to pastor as a church bloodbought baptized in Jesus name full of the Holy Ghost. I believe that it is our responsibility as a church to pray for our nation. Let's do that before we move an inch further. Let's pray for the United States of America. We need revival.

Will y'all help me, Lord? Thank you. Thank you for the voice that you give us to call on your name. Thank you, Lord, for the power of unity and harmony, God, working together for a cause. We pray today. We bind together, Lord, our voices in one. We pray for this nation. God bless the United States of America. Let us have revival. Let us have outpouring. Let us have manifestation of your glory. Let there be revelation of the oneness of God that would sweep our nation. Let there be a hunger, Lord, a thirst for the things of God more than the things of man.

Help us, God, today. We are thankful, Lord, for those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms. We pray for our military men and women today, our first responders. We pray for protection over them, Lord, as they protect us. I love you. I need you. And I'm so glad to know you today, Lord. I plead your blood over our city, over our nation, over every church, every individual. Let the blood of Jesus cover us today. We love you and we bless your name. To God be the glory.

To God be the glory. I love you, Lord Jesus. I so glad you're here today. If you're online joining us, we welcome you. If you're a guest with us today, we welcome you into our worship service. It's always a joy to gather on Sunday. I I I get the opportunity today to to uh let our family time work. Family time. How? Somebody say, "The family that prays together stays together." The family that prays together stays together. So, we pray together and then we remember that it's the family we have.

You get out of your chair, go greet one another. So glad you're here today. Welcome to CAC. That's right. Welcome to CAC. Welcome to CAC. Yeah. Come on. Bring your offering to the storehouse. Baptism going on in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus. Yeah, that's rolling back there. Aren't you glad for the power of the name of Jesus?

Beautiful. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. I love you, Jesus. I love you, Jesus. Praise God forever and ever. Amen. Amen. Let's pray right now for Roland. Lord Jesus, we are thankful for the power of baptism in the name of Jesus. There's no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. It is that saving name of Jesus that will wash away our sins, that will make us new creatures in Christ. Plead your blood right now, Lord, in your name, Jesus. Use him, God. Bless him Lord we pray.

Oh come on church help us pray in Jesus' name. In Jesus name. We believe you for great things Lord and we trust you right now Jesus. We honor you and love you. We're going to turn our attention to our giving affirmation statement. Can we put our prayer up here? That's wonderful. All right. We're going to pray together with an outside voice.

We're going to pray. You ready? Pray with me. Upon the authority of your word, I have given. It shall be given to me. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Come on. I am a tither. I bring my tithe into your storehouse. Therefore, the enemy is rebuked. The curse is broken, and I live under an open heaven. You pour out upon me such a blessing that there's not enough room to receive it. We receive jobs and better jobs, raises and bonuses, sales and commissions, benefits and settlements, estates and inheritances, interest and income, rebates and returns, checks in the mail, gifts and surprises, bills paid off, debt demolished, royalties received.

We claim $3.5 million for our new facility. My whole family is saved and walking with God. perfect health and abundance to walk in divine favor and blessings. I'm blessed going in. I'm blessed going out. And all that I do will prosper in Jesus's name. Amen. Come on. Can we love the Lord together for that? We thank you, Jesus. We love you, Jesus. Praise the Lord, church. You may be seated with me for just a moment. I do want to bring your attention to today is Memorial Day.

Uh after service, we'll be clearing out all these chairs. Uh and we'll be brother Rob will direct us on that. We have food today and we want to invite each and every one of you to stay hang out. Uh we're going to there the men are grilling all the all the other things that are going on today. There's going to be games and things for the children. Uh we want to make sure that everybody has some food. All right. So So in that in that sense that means that it means that Justin we're just going to have to hold off on you getting food today.

All right. He has to go L. I'm just kidding. In in all the things we have for today, I want to make sure that each and every one of us seriously everybody everybody stay because it's going to be fine. We're just going to take our time. If you brought a change of clothes, uh change your clothes. Just just relax and we're going to have a good time with this. Also, uh in the very back, uh after church, in the very back, there's a table right over there.

Uh the production team, uh it's actually not a table, it's a case because the production team, they're needing some help this week. They need a camera operator. And so if that is something you're interested in doing, you you don't have to know the first thing in the world about operating a a a camera. You don't have to know the first thing in the world about I promise you they will teach you. And all right, we good? I think we're good, guys. Sorry. We don't have to know the first thing in the world about operating a camera.

They'll teach you how to. If you don't mind, Jess will be back there. stop by, talk with her, stop by and and and she'll have a QR code to have a job description and all those things uh about what what we'll do with it, what needs to be done with it. But if you will, uh that'll be a really good thing for you. Also, we have Midweek University this Wednesday. Are we clapping for midweek? Uh we have Midweek University. So, what we do is on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

we have Sunday school and we focus on biblical teaching. And then on Wednesdays at 7, we do applicable teaching. That was the word I was looking for last week, applicable. We learn how to apply the word. Uh and so in that sense, it is good to be at both. So if at all possible, make that a part of your weekly routine that you would be able to you would just be able to just in those things. Okay, we got we got one more right here. Will you pray with me?

Jesus, we cast we we baptize this soul in your name, not in any other. Come on, in Jesus name. All right, singers, you guys ready? If you're the father of a daughter on June 7th, now this is important. This is important for fathers of daughters.

These daughters are going to get all dressed up. This is a father and daughter dinner. You do not want to miss this, guys. And it's also a youth fundraiser. So, there is that. So, you know, get, you know, it it two birds, one stone. This is an opportunity to make sure that you and your daughter have you get to imprint that special memory that you can register on the app and all those different things. Blessed be your name, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh yes. His name is high and lifted up. Holy, holy, worthy. Worthy. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Just this week, I was in one of my state of minds where you just kind of meditating and we're driving down the road and I tell my wife, you know, my my my brain works really weird. I I don't know about you, but I I I have this visual imagination. And I told her, I looked over, I said, you know, we we we paint this picture of Jacob's ladder and what it's called a ladder, but you know, it's like a staircasing.

Now, I I'm going to paint you my picture, okay? The scripture tells us that this ladder or this staircasing that Jacob saw, the scripture says that there was angels that was ascending and descending and they're w they're up and down and they're they're they're they're singing and worshiping the name that is above every name. I I believe that back then Jesus was was present. Why? Because that's who he is. But they're ascending and descending. And and I looked at my wife and I said, you know, this is weird traffic circles.

Y'all get that? I said what would it be like to get caught between two angels? What would it be like to get caught between those angels and the wings of that angel hits you and that other one wings of that angel hits you and what are you doing? And you get yourself into the presence of God. You find yourself right in the presence of God. We're talking about how great his name, how holy is his name. And right in the middle of that, God's saying, "I want you in my presence.

I want you in my presence." And he begins to just, he begins to twirl us. And all we see is nothing but him in his presence is where we find all of those things just seem to disappear. Oh, would you lift your hands right now and just thank the Lord for his presence we feel in this place. Thank you praise team for leading us into his presence. Thank you for leading us into the throne room of God right now in your name Lord that you touch each and every one of us.

Speak into us Lord this day. Oh hallelujah God. We give you praise. We thank you Lord for your goodness and your mercy. Thank you Lord for what you're doing in this place. Thank you for what you're doing in our lives. Oh God. Hallelujah. How beautiful Lord. it is to be in your presence, Lord. That we feel your presence. We feel your anointing. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. God bless you. Turn to your neighbor and say, "Welcome to church." Amen. Amen. God bless you. You may be seated. I have enjoyed this month.

And you know, I'm one of those I actually en I enjoy Wednesday nights. I I just I there's just something about Midweek University that I enjoy and and uh I guess because I I get to get right in your face, right up in your face. Um and and here you're scattered abroad. But I have enjoyed this this month u and what God is doing among us. I thank God for that. And again, we continue through the tabernacle and pastor will next month. Uh we're looking forward to he says he's been setting for two months now.

So he said pack pack your lunch. But I I was thinking today about what this day represents and how that you know there are there are victories and then there are times when victory is lost. There are things that we can say about war on my phone back there is uh how many of you have that app that's called notes? Uh how many you ran out of memory on that? It usually runs out. It gets it tells you, hey, we want to sell you 99 cent.

We want to sell you extra memory. In that app, I have a an audio and some years back I sat with my dad and he would tell these what we call war stories. Many of you have probably got grandfathers or somebody that could tell you some of their war stories. My dad came home with a purple heart. He is he was wounded and he still to this day carries shrapnel in his body from that and I happened to pull that up just a few days ago and listen to it and he's talking about some of the decisions that he personally had to make during those times that was trying those things that came against him during this war conflict that he was a part of and and how that thank God that he was full of the Holy Ghost and and that he depending on depended on God quite a bit during this battle but how that in him inside him he would feel the need to do certain things and it would pay off.

um it would be just something that an impression that would come upon him and he would tell these stories and and I I hope that someday I can pass these on to my children and and uh they've probably heard them. But let me tell you something, these stories never get old. Why? Because they show us also they don't show us just the successes, but they show us where we may have been wrong. True. I I I believe in in taking self- evvaluation. I believe that each and every one of us should do that.

In classes over my career and and in my jobs and there would be times that they would ask of us, I need you to take a selfie vow. I I was thinking about how that this day represents a lot of our fallen soldiers and and how many of you have ever heard of replay, whether it be in sports or whatever. You ever heard of replay? There's reasons that you take replay, right? There's reasons that they stop in the middle of a game and say, "Hold on just a minute.

You see this guy go over there and he gets under this little tent. or it's called review. It that play is under review. There's reasons because there are things that sometimes needs to be evaluated and taken to heart. I I bring to you today something that I really feel on my heart today. that I think that in those successes, in those times of evow, and those times that we look at ourselves, there are reasons that we do that in the military life. And uh we've got some of you guys that are we've got still got some active guys here, but those guys of you that have been through military when when you first go into basic training, they're wanting to find out what your limits are, right?

They're wanting to push you to your limits. They're wanting to find out exactly how far you will go. And the entire time there's somebody that's taking note of that and they're saying, "This person needs help in this. This person needs help in this. This one here's a lost cause." Whatever it may be, uh they they are they are taking evows on you and saying that each and every one of these things What is it that I am in need of? I think it's very important for us in our own lives to take evows and take those seriously because those are the things that will give us victory or it will give us failure.

I began my studies and immediately I'm thinking, you know, we're going to talk about victory. Each and every one of us is going to be shouting on the streets today and we're going to be just really st just jumping up and down. But my my studies took me a different route. So I want you to bear with us today. I want you to listen to what I've got to say because I feel that God has a word for us in taking this and looking at our victories and looking at how we overcome our enemies.

How many you know you have an enemy? You have someone that is that is there and they're trying to destroy you. They're trying to tear you down. They're trying to tear your life apart. In the midst of that, we ask God for help. And God comes graciously comes along and he helps us. How many you thankful for the helping grace of God? You're thankful that God is helping you. Amen. But as we ask for God's help, God begins to lead us and he begins to guide us.

I want you to understand this that there are things that God will help you with, but at the same time, never forget that it comes from the Lord. Never forget that your help comes from God. It is not of ourselves. is not what we're doing, but it's because the grace of God and he has helped us with that. Amen. I was thinking of this guy that did an awesome thing and his name is Joshua. Joshua was that guy that comes up and is raised to be a leader.

And he takes on the task of actually leading a group of people which we call the Israelites, takes him across the Jordan River. God provides dry land for them to walk on. They are God's chosen. They are God's blessed. He goes on and he leads them to battle a city that God had promised them. In Joshua the sixth chapter, we find where there is a place called Jericho that they're headed to. And God promised this to them. How many you have promises in your life? God has promised them this place.

But God gives them strict instructions as we know as we studied through the tabernacle over the last five months that God is a God of order, right? He is a God of order. He puts everything in order. He has a place for everything. And so God has given them told Joshua, he says, "You tell the people that you're going to march around the walls and you're going to do this six days just marching around doing nothing but carrying all of the stuff that I tell you to carry."

And he gives them those instructions. Then he says, "On the seventh day, I want you to tell the people to shout. I want you to tell them to shout and and and and just give God praise for victory. And so Joshua gives these instructions and then he says God tells him, he says, "Now when these walls come down," how many you know that victory is on the horizon for many of you. But he says, "When these walls come down," he says, "I want you to go in, possess the land.

I want you to kill everything that moves. That's what he told him. He said, "It didn't matter what age they were, kill it. Get rid of it." And so he says, "I want you to get rid of it. Then I want you to go through and the spoils thereof, I want you to take and make sure that the silver and the brass and the gold that that goes to the temple of God, that goes into the treasury of the Lord." But he said there are some things that are there that you are not to touch.

He tells them that there are some things in that city that could harm you. And so they're given these instructions. And as they give this, as Joshua gives these instructions, he takes these instructions and and he speaks to the people and he tells them, "This is the order you do it in." As we know, the scripture goes on that they did they went in, they did what they were supposed to do. They marched around the walls and the walls came down and they conquered the city.

Somebody says, "Thank God. They conquered it. And right in the midst of all of of the excitement, the scripture tells us in verse chapter 6 verse 27, it says that this was noised abroad that Joshua and his fame was noised throughout the country. Everybody heard about Joshua's victory and everybody's on pins and needles because in this land they're going to possess it. God has promised it to them. God has given us some promises, folks. I I want you to get that today and put that in file.

God's given us some promises and God promised them this land. There was a land called Ai that was there. And and the scripture says that Joshua tells him, he says, "Hey, you scouts, go over to Ai and look at that place." Now, they're just getting back all of this uh you know, all of this information that they're doing so good. Now, I I want to tell you something about pride, folks. Pride could pride can tear your life apart. It it it you you can, as a matter of fact, if you if you've got the if you got a hint of pride in you, it it will literally lead you to your grave.

Here's Joshua, man. The Lord is with us. He is for us. Who can be against us? And the scripture says that he is he he's telling his men and all these men are feeling the same way. And I could just imagine the testosterone flowing. Can you can you see that? High five, man. We got this. And they go to AI and they get to looking around and here comes some of those little Forgive me for saying that. Here comes some of those guys that just got their chest all stuck out.

Hey, we got this. That's what the scripture says. They come back and said, "Hey, we don't need everybody. We'll just take 3,000. There's 3,000 of us. We'll overtake this and we'll take them." And the scripture says that they took the 3,000 and they went in and immediately they stepped into that camp and immediately they started being overran. This 3,000 men turned around with their backs to it. The scripture says their backs to the enemy and they're running away from the enemy because the enemy is now killing them.

I'm talking about us getting to victory, folks. We want to see victory in our life. We want to see these things grow in our life. Never lose that ability to be humbled of what God is doing in your life. As a matter of fact, you you need to you need to take this to heart is whatever God does for you, he didn't have to do that. Give him praise for it. You give him thanks for what he's doing and say, "God, what's my next step?" Joshua knows.

He says, "This is our land." These guys get trampled. They lost 38 people and they're headed out of there. They get they're they're just beating it out of there. And they get to Joshua and Joshua Joshua immediately he says, "Uh-uh, something's wrong. Something's wrong." The scripture says he rent his clothes. He put he put dust on his head. He rent his clothes and he he fell down face first on the ground. He says, "God, what is going on? What is happening here? We just saw a battle and we this great city of that we just conquered now this this smaller group we lost the battle.

God begins to speak to Joshua and God tells him in verse 12 of chapter 7 says the the children of Israel cannot stand against their enemies but turn their backs. Why? because they they cannot they can't do it. They cannot do it. Why Joshua Josh Joshua there there's some there's some corrupt things in your life in in the children. There are some corrupt things in the land. There's some corrupt things that's happening here. And he tells them the notice how he says this at the very end of that scripture.

He says that he would not be with them unless they exterminate. One one of those says this, exterminate, destroy the oursed that is there in their camp. You've got to annihilate it. You got to take it out. You got to pull it out of there. Let me tell you something about about removing things from from life. Sometimes it hurts. This is one time that I can tell you that hurt helps. Hurt helps. He tells them, "You've got to take and destroy this." Joshua gets up and he says, "Okay, we got to sanctify ourselves.

We've got to sanctify ourselves because if we're not sanctified, if we're not we're not we don't throw those things out, we are going to be lost. I want to talk to you for just a few moments today about purging your life of those things that are not of God. That's right. Let let me tell you this. There there are things about our lives. There are things about our lives that that may not be a sin in the sight but it can become a sin. It may not be a sin in your life but it it becomes one because you allow it to weigh you down.

Hebrews tells us this that we are to lay aside every weight. 12 and1 says, "Lay aside every weight that what does so easily knock you off?" That that thing that knocked you out of balance. How many of you have you ever carried something on your back, backpack or whatever it may be and it gets really heavy for you? and and you you've got all of this stuff, you know, you need that. And I'm just going to take it to the camping side. You need something to start your fire with, right?

You you need you a good knife. You need a light. You you go down the list of the the things that you would say you need, but may I tell you, in the heat of a battle, you're going to cast away everything that could knock you off balance. There may be some things that I I could say in my mind I can say I need, but the truth is it may be things that I can do without. In the heat of the battle, there's things that I could just lay aside.

I don't need them. Why? Because I've got to gain victory. And when things in your life become to a place that it is more important than victory, it's sin. when it gets to a place that all of these things that I've accumulated gets to a place that I have this, I have this, and I have this. May I tell you, there's some things that that is okay to have, but it is. But is it of God? Is it something that's weighing me down? Is it something that's going to keep me from making heaven?

Is it something that's going to keep me from developing the things that I need in my life? Is it weighing me down? I I I I I submit to you today that there are things that we carry that we just don't need. That's right. There are things that we carry around with us that we could really do without, but we find a convenience in that. I want you to notice that because of this sin, it was almost as if the power plug was pulled from them.

When sin abounds, we know grace abounds, but when sin abounds and it's not recognized, there is power that is lost. And you don't realize it until it's too late. The scripture tells us that as they went on, Joshua is telling them to purge themselves. He's telling them to sanctify yourselves, purify yourselves. There is man by the name of Achen. He's right there in the battle with him. Good intentions. Take that to heart. Good intentions on the battlefield for the Lord, but he sees something that could possibly benefit him.

And the scripture says that there was spoils that Achen took for himself. You know, I keep circling this this same wagon. Last week, we we had our children here with us. The scripture tells us that Achen because of his sin that God had Israel to destroy his entire family. They were taken to a valley and the children were slaughtered. And I know that sounds gruesome, but the truth is because of his sin, every generation after that, they had to be killed out. Why? Because of sin.

I I I I challenge you today to evaluate and those and I said this at the very beginning, self eval. I challenge you today to evaluate your life. Look at those things that you are carrying carrying with you. Those things that you are you are just there things that you can say you need. But is it a weight? Is it something that's going to keep me from getting there? Is it something that's going to keep me from finding my final place in heaven? Is it going to be something that keeps my children because of the things that I teach them?

May I tell you, it's okay. I I I hope that all of you teach your children those things. The way of life. Yeah. We need to teach them the way of life. We need to teach them how to live, how to make money, how to do these things, but at the same time, I need to teach them the principle of how that gets to us. And how that this all belongs to God. This all belongs to him. And I wouldn't have any of it if it hadn't been for him.

You've got to teach them those things. God, help me that I don't set a stumbling block for my children. Help me that I don't I don't put something out there that's going to completely wipe them out. God, help us that we find that place. Purify ourselves. Oh God, anoint us. God, get us to a place that we look around and say, "Baby, this is why we do this." Just prior to this victory that Joshua had, Joshua brought he brought these stones. He pulled these stones out of the middle of the river and he placed them in a certain place so that they could be recognized.

I I I I I think about generations that go before us and then there's some that's going to come after us that am I holding on to the right principles? Am I holding on to the right things? Am I teaching my children the things of God or am I just teaching them the ways of life? Am I teaching them that they have to struggle all their lives? Or am I teaching them how that that we're victorious? Am I teaching that them that these these are sins?

You know, I I I've heard people say this. They'll say, you know, these are just this is a cross that I must bear. You ever heard that? This is just something that I this is my thorn in the flesh. I I I'm telling you today that not everything that comes your way is just something that you have to carry. You can lay that down and you can give God victory for delivering you from those things. I serve a delivering God. I serve a overcoming God. I serve a God that is able.

The scripture says that he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we even ask or think. Those things that would just come across our mind. He He has made us overcomers. Can I see you, little Gunny? Come see me, buddy. Not everybody's. And I Oh, we got one coming up that'll be able to do this. Come here, buddy. Go see ya. I uh I watched a little video yesterday and he won't do it for us here. Okay, he's not going to do it. So, I'm not even going to ask him.

The little video that I watched, he was going, "And the angels cry, holy, all creation cry, holy, you are lifted high, holy, holy forever." And I sat there yesterday and listened to this song that he was singing and it was something inside of me said that is where it has to be. I I have to get it to that place because that that's that's his favorite song. And Aba likes it when he sits beside him at the table and prays over the food. I know all of that seems simple and small and minute, but with this what that's telling me that there is right behind this chest cavity, there's something being created in him.

There's something that is being established in him. that these are important things. These are important things. And the angels cry, "Holy, all creation cries, holy." You are lifted high, holy, holy forever. I want you to lift your hands with me right now, would you? Cuz see, daddy, and I know I'm pulling at your your little emotional tails. That that's fine. But what it did to me, it just stirred me up to realize there are some things worth fighting for. Amen. There are some things that we have got to learn that are more important.

Yeah, there may be some things lacking, but if I could ever get to the place that I teach I teach them, son, we got to keep oursel purified. We've got to keep oursel holy. teach them as the children of Israel would teach their children. They would send them to the synagogues and they would send them to the the teachers and there they would set and that was their life is nothing but that being put into them. Word after word after word after word. That was their life is filling them with nothing but the word of God.

Not some video game. I I'm sorry. I'm headed that direction, am I? But not some Not some app on your phone. Not Not some I want you to think. Is there anything that's weighing us down? Is there anything that we've got weighing us down? Is there anything that we've got that we could be saying, "Son, we don't do that today. Son, we won't do that today because we're going to spend some time with God. God, help us." When's the last time that that Scorby filled your house.

And how many you know who I'm talking about? I got one right here. Alexander Scorby. Anybody remember that guy? What a voice. You turn it on on your app in your Bible app. Alexander. That's his that the King James. Now, all the others, they got their own people. But when's the last time that he filled the house? Just word. When's the last time that you turned it on for your children to listen to? And I know we've got to keep we got to keep them got to find something they can listen to.

I can listen to the King James, but they they probably can't. Who was Mphibichef? But they listen. And if it's got to be something that is in children form, let the word go into them. Why? Because when it comes time to purge, you're going to have the strength to purge. You're going to have something inside of you that says, "Yeah, I'm going to get rid of that. I'm going to get rid of that. I'm going to get rid of that. Why? Because I love God. And it doesn't matter what it is.

I'm going to get rid of it. We've got to find that place in God that that no matter what it is that we're able to get rid of it. Is there anything in this world? Let me tell you something. These grandkids, these kids, they these children, I used to get in trouble for calling them kids. We had this little Jewish guy that attended our church. He would get me. They're not kids. But these our grandchildren, our our family members, yes, there there is a grip that they've got on you.

But let me tell you something. If they can understand that it's in the blood of Jesus Christ. It's those things that, hey, I've got to make heaven, folks. I've got to make heaven. And I want my children to make heaven. I want them to make heaven, too. I want to I want them to find that final place that's called heaven. Oh Jesus. Would you stand with us right now? I want everybody to stand with us. And I'm going to ask you a few questions here. I want to ask you, first of all, I've asked it once before in this message.

What's keeping you from your victories? You see, Joshua and all of the men that he carried to Ai could have been overcomers if it had not have been for one man's sin. Is there anything I'll even put it this way. Is there anybody Hello. Sometimes those friendships that that's hard to kill, folks. Sometimes it's just you got friendships that it's hard to get rid of that because it there there's such a bond sometimes. But is there anything or anybody that's keeping you from your victory? Is there anybody or anything that is keeping you from getting over that that hurdle that may be in your life?

You see, I think the principle here is very clear that if you have you have trouble getting victory, we need to fall on our face and say, "God, show me." That's right. Amen. It's what Joshua did. God, show me. I I can't seem to get past this. Can you show me where I'm lacking? Can you show me what's holding me back? Can you show me if there's anything that is between me and you? Can you show it to me, Lord? Cross this building. I I want to I wonder if you could close your eyes, bow your heads if you would.

Each of us today, if I was to ask you, you would say, "There are some struggles in my life." We're human. There's some struggles. There's some things that I need some help with. I believe that God wants to give you the victory that you're looking for. But what it's going to have to take first is you saying, "God, what's holding me back?" God begins to speak to Joshua and tell him there's a curse. There's some things that is hidden in the camp that needs to be purged.

There's some things that need to be cast out. I ask you the question, how's your camp today? How how is the camp today? Is there anything that you need to take before the Lord and say, "God, help me in this place today." And I know there's a lot going on today, but I want you to pause and you may need to purge some things from your life. I open these altars up. They're open for you. You need to get rid of some stuff. You need to You need to ask God to show you those things.

We've got to get over our pride, folks. We got to get over that. We got to get over the the fact that there are things that, you know, we just we I just don't want to admit that. Let me tell you something. There is nothing new under the sun. And I hope that I can make this altar as comfortable but yet as painful as possible, if I can say it that way, because some things has to die. Some things has when it comes to purging. I told you from the beginning.

Sometimes it hurts. Sometimes it's one of those things that God, I just I don't know why, but I got to get rid of this. God, lay it on our hearts today. Is there anything? Could you come with me today? Would you come around this front for just a few moments? I I want us to Maybe it's something that you've got to you got to toil over in your head. Is there anything? Evaluate yourself today, God. God, help me. Help me. Is there anything, anything that you need help with today?

I want you to know something. We're here today. You got brothers and sisters in Christ that will help you. Maybe it's a victory you can't you can't manage by yourself. I want you to know something. We can help you. God, help us today. Help us Lord Jesus in this place today God. Oh in your name Jesus in your name Lord Jesus create in me a clean heart. Oh God renew a right spirit within me God. Oh, is there anything Lord I need to get rid of God in my life?

Show that to me. And if so, give me Lord the strength, the strength to tear away from it, to pull away from it, to get away from it. Oh, Jesus. Jesus. Oh, in your name, Lord. Jesus. In your name, Lord Jesus. In this place right now, God, anoint our heads, our hearts, Lord. God, we sanctify ourselves. We sanctify ourselves to you. Oh God, I make in the name of Jesus. Oh, your name is my in the name of Jesus. Jesus, help me, oh God, that I make my way, Lord Jesus, to your throne.

Hallelujah. I will do in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus your name Jesus Jesus Jesus. Oh your name you too. So you don't feel that you can't live here. Please leave me. I will make room for you. I will prepare for to so you don't feel that you can live here. Please live me. Please lift me up. I find space for what I treasure. I make time for what I want. I choose my priorities and Jesus you're my number one is Jesus you're my number one so I will make room for you.

I will prepare for you. So you don't feel that you could live here. Please live me. I will make room for you. I will prepare for two. So you don't feel that you can live here. Please live me. I will make room for you. I will prepare for to so you don't feel that you can't live here. Please live me. Please lift me God. I will make room for you. My will to move it over my way. You can move that over my ego. You can move that over my plans to move it over my schedule.

You can move it over. I got it. Lord, I will make room for you. My habits to move them over my attitude. Whatever it is, you can move it over. Just move it over. You can move it over. Just move it over. Sing I will make room. Whatever it is, you can move it over. Whatever it is, you can move it over. Please just move it over. Just move it over. Please just move it over. Just move it over. I will make room. This is Hallelujah.

Would you lift your hands with us right now across this room? Just thank the Lord for what he's doing inside of you. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for your word God. I thank you Lord for stirring up that that is inside of me God that wants to do your will Lord Jesus. In the name of the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh, let's thank you for healing right now. Would you do that? Thank the Lord for healing. Amen. Hallelujah.

One of my favorite scriptures of read time and of course we quote it. The psalmist writes in the very first chapter, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly." Let me tell you something. You can do all kinds of evows with this scripture right here. That's right. Self vow. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the ways of sinner, nor siteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the laws of God.

Yes. In those laws doth he meditate day and night. Day and night. If you were to go off the first three scriptures of that book. Yes sir. I you wouldn't have the issues we have today. Wouldn't be there. Challenge you this week. Do some selfie vows. Is there anything that I need to purge from my system, my life? Get it out of there, my daily systems that I go through. Is there anything that that's taking up a lot of my time? Because we can get busy sometimes doing good things, but we have to ask ourselves, is this necessary for my spiritual being?

God bless you today. I hope that something through this has helped us refocus. What we want to do is come in alignment with God.
