Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer

  • He reads his text, Romans 12:12, and announces the title: what stirred it up can stop it too.
  • Daniel was preferred above all the others because an excellent spirit was in him, and his godly character made him a target: the presidents and princes searched his life to discredit him and could find no occasion against him.
  • Being godly in a godless world will always make you a target; the pressure of the day seduces God's people to act ungodly to escape the oppression, and the sermon is preached in defense of faithfulness.

Scriptures: Romans 12:12

The decree could not move a pattern already set

  • The presidents and princes assemble to the king and consult together for a firm decree: whosoever asks a petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of the king, is cast into the den of lions, and Darius signs the writing that cannot be changed.
  • Daniel knew the writing was signed, and went into his house, his windows open toward Jerusalem, and kneeled three times a day and prayed and gave thanks as he did a four-time: the pattern of prayer was cemented long before the problem showed up.
  • The same spirit is loose in the world now, drawing parameters that push God out of politics, education, and the home; Daniel was not seeking the endorsement of politicians, and refused to let the culture make him deviate from his consecrations.

Scriptures: Daniel 6:6; Daniel 6:10

My God hath sent his angel, and shut the lions' mouths

  • They find him praying, and the king commands and Daniel is cast into the den; the king's own word is the compliment: thy God, whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
  • The next morning Daniel is alive: his God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and no hurt was found on him; what put him in the den was prayer, and the same prayer is what brings him out.
  • The thesis is declared: if prayer stirred it up, keep praying and let prayer stop it; if worship or giving stirred it up, keep worshiping and keep giving; having done all, stand, unwilling to quit.

Scriptures: Daniel 6:22

Praying always — on the basis of passion, not problem

  • Paul writes of praying always with all prayer and supplication, and watching with all perseverance; Daniel had lived those words before Paul wrote them, praying when life was good and not only when problems came.
  • The enemy's tactic is to whisper that if you let off the spiritual gas pedal the problems will lift, and the absence of adversity is then mistaken for approval of unfaithfulness; what is lost in the process is the relationship with God.
  • Be careful for nothing: whatever takes your peace, take it to prayer — anxiety is not to walk you around; you take it by the scruff of the neck to prayer. Paul, bitten by the viper at the fire, shook it off into the same fire and kept standing where he was.

Scriptures: Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6

By faith and patience — and the God of peace under your feet

  • The decision at the close is the text again: keep praising, be patient, and keep praying; the writer of Hebrew spoke of those who obtained the promise, and it comes by faith and by patience.
  • James draws the line between sickness and affliction: the sick call for the elders of the church, but the afflicted must pray for themselves; no one else can pray you out of your affliction.
  • This is the kind of prayer that gave birth to the church, the prayer found in Acts chapter 2; as it settles, the room is filled with the peace of the God who himself will crush Satan under their feet, and the preacher dismisses the house in that peace.

things and before these things we had overhead projectors y'all remember that pastor and I were talking about that walking into church this morning you'd have somebody their role of service in the Sunday gathering was to flip the overheads and every now and then they'd get mixed up that the way you the way you laid on the overhead is actually not the direction it projects on the wall so you'd be looking at upside-down lyrics and thank God for technology but even before that we had a thing called the flannel graph where the flannel was laid out on the wall and those Bible characters were cut out and it wasn't sticky like glue but something about that friction and the flannel that it would stick to the wall and they would reenact those Bible stories with the flannel graph and the characters and well this this was my introduction as a

boy to Daniel and the lion's den the Scripture says that Daniel was preferred above all others because there was an excellent spirit in him you got to understand that he lives in a grossly secular environment the world is wicked all around him and Daniel's godly character made him a target of attack presidents and princes looked at him seeking to find occasion against him to discredit the testimony of his life and the influence of his character they were envious of the promotion that came but more than despising him for what he had I would submit they despised him for who he was and ultimately what he stood for they would search and take inventory of his life the intention was to scrutinize him in such a manner that we might discredit him they would look with great intention desiring to demonize this character but unable to do so they

had the intention to discredit him but ultimately the integrity of the profit proved true I would say to you today being godly in a godless world will always make you a target I'm gonna say that again because the prevailing pressure of the present day is such that the enemy will seduce you to act in an ungodly way to deliver yourself from the oppression that comes from this godless world I want you to hear me today living as a godly man and living as a godly woman in 2024 I thank God for this great country but I want you to hear me we're full of corruption sin is ruling rampant in every sect of modern society and being godly in a godless world will always make you a target this was the plight of the prophet Daniel Daniel six and six said that the presidents and princes assembled together to the king and said King

Darius live forever all the presidents of the kingdom the governors and the princes the counselors the captains they have consulted together what's he saying he's saying city council town mayors state governors all of the people have come together and we have decided that you oh king should establish a royal statue we want you to make a firm decree that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for 30 days save of the okay he shall be cast into the den of lions the Bible says in verse 8 now okay establish the decree signed the writing do not let it be changed according to the law of the Meads and the Persons which alter it not where for King Darius signed the writing and the decree the decree is this no petition in the King James it simply means no prayer no man can live his

faith no man can demonstrate his conviction no man can pray to God save the king himself not talking about the God Almighty we're not talking about Jesus they're talking about the man King Darius no man can pray for 30 days except to you oh King Darius and if he does he'll be cast in to the den of lions now I know today I preached to you from a Bible story that were thousands of years removed from but I want you to hear this preacher today because her is a spirit loose in this world and I would tell you it's in high flight right now in the middle of a political campaign if you didn't hear much or read much about the narrative coming out of the Democratic Convention just a few days ago I want you to hear this preacher today there is an agenda at work in

the political avenues of modern society and this is its intention to draw parameters that push God out that spirit is at work in the public education system that spirit is at work in the political system it is the writing of policies that deny absolute truth it is the writing of policies the writing of laws the the institutions of man in the ideologies that permeate through these institutions that deny a man is a man and a woman is a woman that seek to tear down the God given institution of marriage being one man and one woman I tell you today there are ideas permeating within the world right now that seek to rob the authority that parents have in the upbringing of a child it takes that authority out of the home and puts it into the government these things my friend are not of God the agenda of the antichrist is to draw

parameters that push God out we see it in politics we see it in school we see it in the sports world they'll take any idea they'll accept any ideology they'll let you live however you want to live but you try to bring God into the conversation and they push you out they take away your seat at the table they silence your voice why is it this has always been the avenue that the adversary works he draws boundaries to push God out to rob us of the power of God the only pretense for such folly in this story I preach to you today is that it flatters the king it prays on the pride of a man makes him feel good and this was the response of Daniel Daniel 6 and 10 when Daniel knew that the writing was signed he went into his house and his windows being open in his

chamber toward Jerusalem he kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed gave thanks to God as he did a four-time then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God simply put today the decree did not matter it didn't matter what political parties said his face was not contingent upon these things Daniel was not seeking the endorsement of politicians in his pursuit of God he refused to allow the prevailing culture of his day to make him deviate from his consecrations Daniel knew that the writing was signed but Daniel didn't care the Bible said he went into his house opened up the window and kneel three times and prayed giving thanks to God as he did before those words are easily overlooked but what it tells us is this long before the problem showed up Daniel had established a pattern of prayer in his life Daniel had

cemented some spiritual consecrations in his life it didn't matter that problems showed up even though the problems were about to show up because he prayed he had already cemented the routine he had established the consecration he had been kneeling and praying before the law had been written and he was going to keep on kneeling and keep on praying after the law had been written and the Bible said the men that were seeking with such violent tension to find cause to discredit his life into silence his influence they find him praying I've got a question today if the enemy walked into your house how would he find you enemy ever find you praying does he ever find your face buried in the scripture studying to meet God to find direction for your life I know how the enemy finds a lot of people because I've been around this thing a while he finds us watching

football games and basketball games and scrolling social media gossiping about this and talking about that but I'm preaching to somebody today if you're gonna have victory over the prevailing spirits in this world then you're gonna have to be a man or a woman a prayer you're gonna have to establish some discipline and some consecration how would the enemy find you if he shows up on Monday night at 8 o'clock what's he gonna find you doing if he wanders into your living room this afternoon at about 3 30 how's he gonna find you if he finds you Thursday morning at 10 a.m. what kind of attitude or frame of mind will the enemy finds you listen I know we've all got problems I've been walking through mud all summer long it was one thing after another my wife was meeting with the surgeon when I got ready to

leave town a couple days ago I know what it's like to fight I know what it's like to have opposition and trial and hardship in your life so I'm not preaching today that life's always gonna be easy and free of circumstance but what I am preaching to you is that in this story the problem that was about to enter into Daniel's life came because he prayed it was a problem that could have been prevented had he chosen not to pray a problem that could have been avoided had he chosen not to be spiritual a fight he could have avoided if he would have simply surrendered his faithfulness but I rise to this pulpit today to serve notice on the enemy it lets you know you might bring problem into my life but I'm not gonna stop praying you might fight me at every turn but I

will be a man of faithfulness come on somebody I know there's some things that the enemy tells you if you stop praying you won't have to fight this battle if you stop living for God you will have to fight this battle and I preach today in defense of the future that God has for you don't you listen to the voice of the enemy I preach to you today that yes prayer might have stirred it up but what stirred it up can stop it to just keep praying they find Daniel praying and the Bible says they come to the king it's verse 16 and the king commanded and the Bible says they brought Daniel and they cast him in to the den of lions and you'll you could have avoided this if you just stop praying you had a sure way of escape if you just stop living for God you

wouldn't fight so much if you'd stop being faithful the king said thy God whom thou serviced continually will deliver me well that's a high compliment I hope if the world has something to say about me that they can say that you serve God continually you weren't just doing it when life was good convenient or comfortable you just did just serve God when all was well and life was pleasant but you were a man or woman that walked with God on mount tops and low valleys you walk when the sun was shining in the darkness of night you walked with him in victory but you walk with him through suffering I'm preaching to somebody today in defense of faithfulness I'm preaching a word of strength today that you would keep on fighting that you would press on in spite of the problem I know there's opposition but may it be said of us

that we serve God continually stone was brought late upon the mouth of the den the king sealed it with his signet the signet of his lords but the purpose might not be changed according concerning Daniel the king made sure that no man had no authority to deliver him from that den what an accusation that you serve God continually not sporadically not half-heartedly not just on Sunday and not just on Tuesday but Daniel was a man that served God every day with his whole heart he loved God with all of his heart soul mind and strength there was no part of his life that God could not touch speak to or access he was a man who gave God everything and so I say that criticism is in fact a compliment he served God wholeheartedly problems come in every life but this is a problem that came for no other reason than he prayed he served God he was

about the business of the kingdom and I know the scripture doesn't say it explicitly but I think it can be assumed because we have read he prayed as he did a four-time this is his custom he's not praying in response to the king he's praying in response to God he was praying when life was good and now he's praying when life is hard and so I would submit to you today that while the Bible does not explicitly say him he was praying before he was cast into the den of lions and he probably prayed while he was in the den of lions the king comes the next morning and to his surprise Daniel is alive how can this be how can a man be thrown into a den of hungry lions devour anything in sight and be alive the next day Daniel 6 and 22 my God has sent his angel and shut

the lion's mouth but they have not hurt me for as much as before him innocence he was found in me and also before the old king have I done no hurt you want to know I'm alive king I'll tell you I'm alive because I prayed and God sent his angel you see I've come to preach to this is not a complex thought today I've just come to declare to this church at this house that whatever stirred it up can stop it too but the enemy is gonna lie to you and tell you well this is what stirred it up so why don't you stop and it'll stop too that's not the response no no no no whatever stirred it up can stop it too if prayers what stirred it up then keep on praying and let prayers stop him if worship is what stirred it

up then keep on worshiping and let worship stop him if giving is what stirred it up then keep on giving and let giving stop him I preached to you today that in times of crisis and temptation it is the voice of the enemy that tells you just stop doing this and the problem will go away just stop praying stop going to church stop being faithful stop reading your Bible stop serving God stop giving in the offering stop this stop this stop this I come today to silence the voice of the adversary that's not how we respond I preached to you today what stirred it up can stop it too yeah Daniel prayer might have put you in the pit prayer might have got you a seat in a den of lions but if you'll keep on praying the same prayer that got you in will get you out the same thing that stirred it up can stop it too I

come to declare to you today don't stop praying don't stop worshiping don't stop giving don't stop being faithful whatever stirred it up can stop it too I think there's a reason when Paul wrote to that church in Ephesus about the armor of God he said having done all to stand stand therefore having done all after you figured it out after you calculated your budget after you sought counseling and you read a self-help book and you saved your favorite post and you've got stickers put around your house and pictures on your wall after you've done all you've done all you know to do you figured it out you tried your hardest you've done all after you've done all what else is there to do just stand you know what standing is an unwillingness to quit it is not the knowledge of victory it is not the ability to make sense of the

circumstance it is nothing more than a man or a woman who says I'm not willing to quit I can't figure it out I don't know when it's gonna end I don't know my way out of here but this is what I do know I'm not willing to quit I was in prayer concerning a circumstance some time ago and telling the Lord Lord I just don't know what to do I don't know this I don't know that a God I don't know I don't know I don't know and God said oh you do know I said no God I don't know he said yeah you know what you don't know well that's a perspective change and when all you know is what you don't know just stand unwilling to move not willing to quit I may not know you the way forward yet but this is what I do know I'm not

gonna go backwards I'm telling somebody today whatever stirred it up whatever frustration you're fighting whatever battle you've got in your life and the enemy's been telling you just let off the spiritual gas pedal a little bit just stop being so faithful stop being so radical no no this is not what we do I'm telling you today whatever stirred it up can stop it too so however you've been praying keep on praying and maybe pray a little bit more however you've been giving keep on giving maybe give a little bit more however you've been worshiping keep on worshiping and maybe worship a little bit more passionately when you've done all you don't know what else to do just stand unwilling to surrender the land that God has given you in the promise that you've been carrying for a long time come on think now what Paul was

saying when he wrote and he said I'm pressing towards the mark press the word itself tells you what the environment was like press why you having to press because there's obstacle there's adversity there's hindrance and the absence of these things he might have simply said I walk but no he knew that the atmosphere of God's people was always charged with opposition there were problems on a return Paul said if I'm gonna get the prize I'm gonna have to press I'll have to press through all kinds of opposition political opposition cultural opposition financial opposition spiritual opposition economic opposition but if I'll press God will perform his word why do you think Paul is writing things like an Ephesians 6 18 praying always because he knew there is a disposition within the makeup of all of us to not pray always tendency is to pray in times of crisis but I would

submit to you it's the man and the woman who prays in times of crisis that only praise in times of crisis who does not pray until problems come is he who prays only when problems come but the scripture says of Daniel he prayed a four-time he was doing this when life was good his prayer his spiritual consecration was not contingent upon problems and adversity in his life he was doing this long before the problem he was a man who prayed on the basis of passion and not a problem and can I tell you today there's too many people that feel churches across this country I know they love God I don't want you to misunderstand me they love God but the problem is the state of spirituality they live with the measure of their consecration is such that they're just praying when problems come and then when the problem passes so too does their

prayer this is not sufficient because this kind of person will inevitably find a problem that is too great where their faith reserves are low and they succumb to the pressure because they were not a man or woman of prayer I'm preaching to you today that you've got to be like Daniel you've got to establish the routine and the consistency and the discipline in your life of four-time you got to do it when life is good when it feels like there's no need to pray I got money in the bank the doctor says my health as well house is in good shape just got a new car whoo thank God it just seems like everything is well well be careful because those are the moments that you are least likely to pray but it is just as necessary that you play pray in that season of blessing as it is the season

of burden praying always with all prayer and supplication watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints perseverance see his words tell you the environment he's in full of opposition struggle adversity but before Paul ever wrote these words Daniel had lived them prayer is not just what we do in times of difficulty it's what we do every day it is not what we do and we need a lifeline or a way of escape it is the oxygen to our spiritual lives so yes all don't don't misunderstand me you're gonna say the preacher said not to pray when I have problems no I just said don't only pray when you have problems I'm preaching today that you would take a step beyond being someone who seeks God in crisis and you would move towards being a person who prays on the basis of passion not just problem

you would wake up tomorrow morning with money in the bank a job to go to a nice car to get you there and you would find yourself a place of prayer in your home and you would meet with God not because there's a problem you need an answer to because there's a passion in your heart to know God and to walk with him our music can come I won't be too much longer I'm preaching to you today that whatever stirred it up has the ability to stop it I know how the voice of the enemy works he slips alongside you you start thinking you know I wasn't I wasn't fighting like this before I started paying my ties I wasn't battling like this before pastors started challenging us to come to family prayer I didn't have so much struggle in my life before I started being faithful

every Sunday and the enemy starts whispering in your ear just let off the spiritual gas pedal you know just just don't worry about reading your Bible through the week pastor will preach to you on Tuesday you'll hear it on Sunday and all of a sudden you know what happens you let off the gas a little bit and wouldn't you know it the problems start disappearing and now you think well can't can't can't be so bad after all can it I'm not praying like I was and the problems gone away must be okay not to pray not being faithful like I was and I'm not battling like I used to you think well must be okay not to be as faithful this is the tactic of the enemy because the problem came from him in the beginning and while you might escape the problem here's what

you lose in the process your relationship with God because you can't serve God except through the faithfulness of prayer you can't know God except to the truth of his word and when you lose these disciplines from your life yes the enemy may lift that adversity from your life and the absence of the adversity is too often perceived as a blessing towards my unfaithfulness can't really be that bad I guess it's all that important I pray on Sunday I worship when the praise team sings there's no semblance of spirituality between Tuesday and Sunday and Sunday and Tuesday we think we're okay I preached to you today in concern of the future because you're not it's the deception of the enemy it's the lying voice of the adversary who puts problem upon you to deceive you in the absence of it our response to adversity is not that we would stop praying but that we would pray more our

response to these things is not to worship less but to worship more it is not to give less but to give more but if we're not careful we can think well if prayer stirred it up then an absence of prayer can stop it and this is the voice of the enemy but the pattern of Daniel and the message of God for this house today is that whatever stirred it up can stop it so don't stop praying when you get thrown into the lion's den of adversity I don't know is it financial is it physical is it mental is it emotional is it strive in the family is it conflict at work just listen to the preacher today whatever stirred it up can stop it to do not stop praying there was not contingent upon location he wasn't just praying in his house overlooking Jerusalem no because

the spirituality was not confined to a day a week or a few hours on a couple day no he served God every day and anywhere I pray to God in the temple I pray to God in my house and I pray to God in the lion's den this is what it is to be a man and woman of God but I know I know I know what it is for the enemy to come against your mind I know what it is your mind to be under an unrelenting attack I know what it is for the overwhelming weight of uncertainty to swirl in your mind and the anxiety it just cripples you this is why the scripture says in Philippians 4 and 6 be careful for nothing we're careful means anxious in fact if you've got a Bible it's not King James most modern translations say that be anxious for nothing so yeah easier said than done

you're telling me not to worry about my health my finances and my family easier said than done preacher you don't know how unsettling it is you don't know how trying it is well thank God that he told us how to do it but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving that's your request be made known unto God be anxious about nothing but in everything my prayer I would say to like this whatever it is that takes your peace you have to take that to prayer let me let me show you how a lot of people live help me understand it's how a lot of people live listen I preached all over the world I preached in churches all over America I preach in big cities little towns churches of hundreds churches of tens I preached in dusty dirt road villages in the remote parts of Africa I've preached all through Europe I've preached in the

Pacific and here we are today in Eastern Ohio let me tell you something human nature don't change much this is how a lot of people live their life their mind becomes overwhelmed with anxiety the uncertainty of life the burden of health and family and finances the afflictions of the adversary and that anxious nature rises up in us and it's like that anxiety takes us by the neck and just walks us wherever it wants and many of us choose to live our lives like this just walking wherever anxiety wants us to walk going wherever worry wants us to go why can't you smile why aren't you laughing why do you got no joy I'll tell you why cuz you're letting anxiety walk you around like it's slave this is not how Paul said to live he said be anxious about nothing so rather than let anxiety tell you where to go and what to do let me tell you how

it should be it should be that you take anxiety by the scruff of the neck and whatever it is that takes your peace you take that to prayer the enemies using conflict in the family if it's sickness in your body if it's trouble in your finances if it's just the unrelenting attack of a devil that doesn't want you serving God whatever it is take that thing that is taking your peace and take it to prayer but the problem is too often the reality of prayerless penny costals is exposed when plight problem shows up we don't know how to pray as we weren't praying a four-time preaching you today that whatever stirred it up can stop the voice of the enemy that you need to let off that spiritual gas pedal this and Paul Paul has a word from God that he's gonna go to Rome and preach the gospel he didn't know he was gonna go to Rome

as a prisoner he didn't know that on the way to Rome that that ship was gonna be destroyed in the middle of the sea and that men were gonna swim to shore and float on the wreckage of a boat but there they are making it to the safety of land they're cold and they're wet the Bible says he's gathering sticks and he's building a fire this is great because this is the example of a real Christian even in his own suffering he's serving others he's building this fire here and the Bible says as is there at the fire a viper comes out latches on to his hand I don't deal with snakes I was somewhere recently and they were telling me man their church had a snake I said well he needs to come up for prayer tonight because in the will of God the people have snakes and wouldn't

you know what God gave me a five-year-old that has a little fascination with snakes right now he'll climb up in my chair and get on the lap let's let's let's look on YouTube for some snake videos we're still praying for him you know on several occasions we watch those videos and a man will get bitten by a snake you know every video I've ever seen everyone of a man being bitten by a snake you know what he doesn't do he doesn't stay where he was when he got bit if I stumble upon the den of rattlesnakes I ain't hanging up there very long they get bit they turn they run they step away look for help not Paul you know what Paul did he got bit the Bible said he shook it off in the fire he just kept standing where he was and the

same fire that that viper came out of he shook it back into I'm telling you today there is a fire in the spirit that stirs things up there is a fire in the spirit of the Lord that draws adversity and the enemy says if you just get away from this you won't face us anymore no this is not what we do and this is not the voice that we entertain do what Daniel did do what Paul did to shake it off in the fire because I declare to you today that whatever stirred it up can stop it to the same God that you serve the very reason that adversity showed up just keep serving him just keep praying just keep worshiping just keep being faithful just keep giving just keep showing up just keep reaching just keep teaching keep praying and what stirred that up is gonna stop it to

want you to stand together with me the decision that must be made today is this rejoicing in hope patient and tribulation continuing instant in prayer continuing this implies they had already been praying he said just keep praying to rejoice is to praise patience of self-explanatory and so is prayer you see the pattern praise patience and prayer that might be what stirred it up but it's also what'll stop it I'm preaching you today keep praising him praise him with more abandon and more passion than you ever have before and when you can't make sense of the circumstance and you don't know when the trials gonna end and you you haven't quite yet discovered the path out of this season just yet just be patient just be patient the writer of Hebrew spoke of those who obtained the promise and he said it comes by faith

and by patience but you've got to continue in prayer if you're battling if you're weary if you're struggling if you're trying to find the path out of problems but you haven't quite found it yet here's the word of the Lord here's how you're gonna make it keep praising be patient and keep praying because what stirred these things up has the ability to stop them to you do not have to live at the mercy of an anxious mind whatever takes your peace you have to take that to prayer so that's what we're gonna do today we're gonna gather at this altar we're gonna take a few minutes to pray and we're gonna let God give us victory in this house today we're gonna let God give victory to our minds healing to our bodies we're gonna let God step into our families and our finances listen listen I wish I wish I wish that I could pray for you and

there there's some Bible for that but this is what James said is there any among you afflicted let him pray then he goes on to say is there any among you that are sick if there's any that are sick then let's call for the elders of the church but there's a difference between sickness and affliction sickness is that physical body affliction is that thing of the mind and what James is saying is there any among you that are afflicted let him pray this is to say that if you are afflicted you must pray I cannot pray victory into your affliction you have to pray for yourself pastor Spellman cannot pray you out of your affliction there comes a point where you must decide I'm gonna pray for myself I'm gonna lift up my voice and cry out Jesus I'm gonna call on God I'm gonna pray with passion I'm gonna seek him fervently let him who is

afflicted let him pray so this is what's gonna happen in this house today you have got to pray you've got to close your eyes remove ever distraction you've got to lift up your voice come on let's do it now in the name of the Lord Jesus God I'm not going to surrender my faith I refuse I refuse to surrender my faithfulness I've planned I've strategized I've tried to figure it out but today I just plant my feet in the ground and say I'm gonna keep standing come on that's it lift up your voice call out to him call out to him Jesus I'm tired of an anxious mind Lord touch my mind today I'm tired of living with no peace and no joy touch my mind today let he let he who is afflicted pray let's see who is afflicted pray come on I'm telling you it's not the

will of God that you live under the weight of that burden any longer it's not the will of God that you surrender your peace to the problems in your life I wish I could tell you that every problem was going to end today but it might not be today it might be that God needs a little patience from you but if you'll keep praising and you'll keep praying and what stirred it up is going to stop it too yes yes yes that's it that's it come on lift up your voice and call out his name speak to the problem right now Jesus said speak to the mountain speak to the affliction speak to the adversity ha-tah-ra-mando-lo-bo-ho-shah-tah-ra-mah-ha he-tah-ye-de-le-mondo-yo-koto-ra-mande-de-le-makah-tah-ye yes yes this is it this is it come on you can feel the spirit of prayer moving

in this room right now open up your heart open up your mouth and connect with it this is where your help comes from this is where you find your victory he-la-makah-tah-ra-mando-lo-bo-ho-shah-tah-la-mah-ha-ya he-tah-ya-de-le-mondo-lo-bo-yo-koto-ra-mande-de-le-makah he-la-makah-tah-tah-reya-le-lo-bo-ho-shah-tah-tah-ra-mah-ha ye-so-tunde-ye-tah-tah-ra-mando-lo-bo-ye yes yes yes I speak the name of Jesus to my affliction right now I'm not going to live another day with no joy because I'm concerned about my finances I'm not going to waste another day living a joyless life because of the pain in my body the strife in my family the uncertainty of my future you may not know it but your future is certain with God ha he-katando-shah-tah-la-mah-ha

te-ya-la-bo-ho-so-tore-ya-la-la-makah-tah-la-mah-ha come on that's it people can pray for you but they're not going to pray these problems out of you this is an affliction that you must pray through Jesus yes yes yes yes ha-na-na-mah-shah-tah-ra-mande-la-manda-ye-yo-ro-bo-sah-ya-la-la-la-mo-yo-ko-ti-ha-rimo-shah-mah-ha-tah-na-mah-ha come on the Bible say that the spirit of the anti-Christ would seek to wear out the saints of the most time it's not a wearing out of the body it's a wearing out of the mind to overcome your mind with so much uncertainty so much anxiety a lack of peace in the presence of problems that you just throw in the towel you surrender the promise of God you give up on the prophecy prophecy you forget

about the future and you stop standing listen if you've done all that you know to do just keep standing don't quit don't throw in the towel ha-tah-na-ra-moh-shah-ya-la-la-mo-yo-ko-tah-ra-mah-ha come on there's a testimony coming the story is not over God is not done working there is no testimony without a test come on there's coming a testimony there's going to be a witness of your integrity and your faithfulness God is going to confirm his word and people are going to know there is a God in Harrison Hills there is a God in eastern Ohio ha-tah-na-ra-moh-shah-ya-la-mah-ha come on there's a God that delivers there is a God who heals there is a God who blesses there is a God who makes all things new ha-tah-ya-ra-mah-no-yo-shah-na-ya-la-la-mah-ha ki-yo-tah-ra-mah-ha yes yes yes

ha-la-moh-ho-ko-ya-la-la-mah-ha-ya-la-la-mah-shah-ka-tah-ya-la-mah-ha i-on-do-ro-kon-di-ya-la-mah-ha-ya-la-la-mah-ha-shot-ori-ya-la-mah-ha yeah take it to prayer take it to prayer that's where you fight this battle that's where you're going to find your victory that's where your help is going to come from that's where strength is found prayer is that battlefield ha-tah-ha-lo-moh-yo-ko-ya-na-mah-shah-ka-tah-la-mah-ha i-tio-ro-ro-ro-ro-ro-ro-ro-lo-moh-ya-ka-tah-ra-mah-no-lo-moh-ye yeah pray it through pray it through it is not a meditation of the mind it is a use of your voice it is sounds and it is words Paul said when I know not what I

should pray the spirit itself make an intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered this is in order this is the bible this is the work of his spirit when my mind can't figure it out and I can't manufacture the words when I cannot make sense of it the spirit intercedes through me he wants to yeah just reach for him reach for him come on don't believe the lie the enemy this lion's den is not the point of death It's a place of testimony. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. I know I'm pushing you. I know we're tarrying here for a little bit but I'm telling you this is the atmosphere fear where things change. This is the kind of prayer that changes lives and changes circumstances. This is the kind of prayer that afflictions are broken in. This is the kind of prayer where miracles can happen. This is the kind of prayer. Come on, this is the kind of

prayer that gave birth to the church. You can find it in Acts chapter 2. This is the kind of prayer that reignited the modern Pentecostal movement 120 years ago. This is the kind of prayer that built this church. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Come on, the name of Jesus is powerful. When you speak that name with confidence, when you stare that affliction in the eye and you speak as one having authority. Come on, he who is afflicted. Let him pray. Let him pray. Let her pray. Yes, yes, come on, that's it. That's it. Lay the burden down in the presence of the Lord today. Lay that burden down. Open up your spirit and receive. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes, yes, come on, that's it. Some of you are praying through that affliction right now. You are in the process of transformation. Come on, help is

flowing into your body right now. Help is coming to your mind right now. Pray it through. Pray it through. Come on, that's it. Don't try to confine the power of your faith to your analytical mind or the logic of human thinking. No, this is a work of the Spirit. This is supernatural. It is an act of God. It is the confirmation of His Spirit to the preached word of the Lord. Come on, that's it. Something's breaking. It's breaking over your mind right now. It's breaking over your spirit right now. There's liberty coming. There's freedom that's coming to you. You've been vexed, but you're going to be vexed no more. Come on, it's been stirred up. You've been walking through a storm. You've been living in a lion's den. I come with a word today that's going to stop it. I come with a word of direction. I'm telling you what's going to stop it.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Hathamoyotoyadabahashoturyalamahakiyatamahaya. Oh, God, let your sweet spirit wash. Ha, mahaya, ahatayoromusataye. Let the strength of your spirit touch us now. Our minds, our bodies renew the strength of the saints of God, replenish their virtue, clarify their vision,

give them soundness of mind, let the peace of God settle upon them now in the name of Jesus. Ha, yiyataramo shakando raboyakataye. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. What we feel here now is the settling of the Lord's peace. I would tell you that there is no greater dimension, there's no greater manifestation of God's presence than peace. You think, wow, it seemed more powerful, you know, when the music was going and it was electric. Listen, Jesus is on the boat with His disciples in the middle of a storm. What's He doing? He's asleep because He knows I have power over this storm. There's nothing that threatens the security of my future and my plans and my life in this present moment. So everyone else, you can be anxious and worry if you're going to live or die in this storm or not.

But I'm going to sleep. I will exhibit perfect peace because I know I have authority. In Romans 16, the God of what shall crush Satan? Romans 16 and 20, the God of peace. When you get around that throne, the Bible says it's a sea like unto glass or crystal. The water is so still. Listen, I've seen some still water, but I've never seen water that still. What's the point? The point is that the atmosphere surrounding His throne is one of absolute peace. So what we're going to do right now is we're going to pray that what is just settled in this room would walk with us when we walk out these doors. Why don't you put your hand on your head right now? It's important you understand that what God is giving you right now is not just for you. It's for the people that live all through this county.

I think the highlight of a weekend is a bottle of beer and a football game that are struggling in poverty and squandering their money and substance abuse and marriages are falling apart and homes are divided. This is not the will of God, my friend. What do they need? They need what's in this room. And so what God's about to give you is not just for you, it's for them. There's a revival to be had on these hills. Lord Jesus, I pray right now over everyone in this house and under the sound of my voice. The perfect peace of God that is settled in this room is a confirmation of Your Word and is a sure sign of Your presence. I pray it would settle in the minds and the spirits of everyone in this room. And I pray as we get ready to leave this house today

and we go our separate ways that the atmosphere, the confirmation of God that is present now would fill our homes. I pray it would go with us into our places of employment and school wherever the days may take us in the week to come. I pray this atmosphere would go with us. I pray it would capture the attention of those we see at the grocery market and those we encounter at places of work. I pray, Lord, that there would be a witness of the Spirit that follows us that is assigned to the unbeliever. I pray the Word of reconciliation is in the mouth of the people. I pray, Lord, that You would give them confidence, deliver them from the anxiety and give them confidence to speak the Word. Let them walk in the authority that is here today and let them minister in that same authority.

I pray this right now in the name of Jesus Christ. Now, here's what we're going to do. We've prayed and patience is not something you can do in a moment. That's something you got to live. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to offer the Lord a sacrifice of praise. Now I'm done. Would you lift up your hands? Would you lift up your voice? Come on with a shout of praise. Hallelujah, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Now can we join with our voices, our hands and clapping? God, we give you honor. Hallelujah. We praise you, Father. Thank you, Lord. We have heard the Word of the Lord today. Now go in peace. God bless you. You're dismissed.
