Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Two Great Lights: The Announced Text

  • He frames this last service of the conference as a little homework to take home: this is not just a conference but a movement, something hearers will carry back across the state of Florida and wherever they came from.
  • He reads Genesis chapter number one: in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, the earth was without form and void, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, and God said, let there be light, and divided the light from the darkness.
  • The reading reaches the lights in the firmament, given for signs and for seasons and for days and for years, and verse 16: God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night.
  • He marvels at the size of God in the reading: of the Bible's 780,000 words, the writer gives the stars just five words — "He made the stars also" — and another writer goes a step further and says He knows them all by name, an estimated septillion of them.
  • He directs the hearers' attention to verse 16 — both lights are great, one is greater and one is lesser — and announces the subject he will preach in this last message: the lesser light.
  • He leads the room in prayer that God would let a burden grip the heart of this generation and commission them, so that every lost soul hears there is a Savior, every addict hears there is freedom, every bound soul hears there is deliverance, and every person in false doctrine hears that He is the way, the truth and the life.

Scriptures: Genesis 1

Framed by the Word: A Thinker's Testimony

  • He testifies that he received the Holy Ghost 14 years ago this summer — July the 4th, 2010 was a real independence day for him — and was baptized shortly thereafter.
  • Even when he was in the world and did not know what the Bible says, creation fascinated him: anybody can make something with preexisting material, but to truly do the work of a creator is to work with nothing and create everything.
  • He quotes what Hebrews says: by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, that the things which are seen were not made of the things which do appear — the ground of his childlike fascination as a thinker who asks a lot of questions.
  • He jokes that Genesis one is the most read chapter in the Bible, because every year starts fresh on January one with a plan to read it through, and somewhere around January 12th the plan stalls until next year.
  • The complexity of our DNA, the earth's tilt, and just the right distance we are convince him it happened the way the Bible says it happened — in the beginning, God — rather than by some cosmic accident.

Scriptures: Hebrews (book-only, as spoken)

The Moon Has No Light of Its Own

  • Through science we understand the two great lights are the sun and the moon; both are great, but the moon in and of itself possesses no light — the sun is the only true source of light, and it is the moon's role and responsibility to reflect the light.
  • That is why there was darkness over the land on April the 8th, 2024: the moon got out of alignment and got in the way of the sun, and when the moon gets in the way of the sun there is an eclipse.
  • It is the lesser light's responsibility to stand in the darkness of the night as a silent testimony: as long as you can see the moon, you know there is still a sun, and the sun is going to shine again.
  • In these two lights he sees a beautiful parallel of Jesus and the church: the greater light is Jesus, the true source, and the lesser light is the church, reflecting the true light in dark times to let the world know there is still a sun.
  • Jesus put it this way: as long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world; but He told His disciples, you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hid, and a candle is not lit to be put under a bushel but on a candlestick.
  • He expounds the charge to let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven: the light in us is not our own, and when people see our good works they should look upward, not at us, because anything good about us is really the goodness of Jesus — by the grace of God, I am what I am.
  • Everybody in the room possesses a testimony that stands as a light in the night: when coworkers, family, and even church people cannot see the sun, seeing a worshiping, praising life tells them what God brought that person out of — and no gross darkness will ever extinguish the light, for the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church, and there shall be light in the evening time.

Scriptures: John 9:5; Matthew 5:16

John the Witness: I Am Not the Light

  • He sees the parallel again in John chapter one: in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and in Him was life, and the life was the light of men — and the light shined in the darkness, and the darkness could not comprehend it, a word he defines as to take, or to grasp, or to stop.
  • The darkness tried to stop the light and was unsuccessful then and is unsuccessful now; in every era and every culture they have tried to put out the light, but here the church is in 2024 shining bright — they cannot comprehend it, stop it, or kill it.
  • A man sent from God, whose name was John, came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all men through him might believe — a forerunner, a voice crying out in the wilderness, preparing the way of the Lord.
  • John set the record straight at the outset of his ministry: he was not the light; he was only there to bear witness of the light — that true light which lights every man that comes into the world.
  • Jesus said about this man of God that among men born of women there had not risen one greater than John the Baptist — he was a great light, but he had a revelation: I am still the lesser light.
  • When the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask who he was, he confessed, I am not the Christ, and pointed past himself to one standing among them who came after him but was preferred before him, whose shoe latchet he was not worthy to unloose.
  • The next day John saw Jesus coming and made a vocal declaration — behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world — and when Jesus passed by the next day, John's own two disciples left John and followed Jesus, and John did not try to stop them, because his entire purpose was to get people to follow Him; he challenges preachers and musicians to speak and serve so that people see Jesus, not them.

Scriptures: John 1; Matthew 11:11

He Must Increase: The Ministry of the Moon

  • He is not asking anybody to be a savior, to heal anybody, or to deliver anybody — only to show somebody who the Savior is, who the healer is, who the deliverer is, and to let the light shine on the job, to lost family, and on the campus.
  • It is the ministry of the moon, the role of the lesser light, in a selfie, self-absorbed world: he prays his generation and the generations after become obsessed with the spirit and mind of John the Baptist — this has never been about me, my kingdom, my ministry, or my anointing; it has always been about Jesus.
  • That is why John was saying: He must increase, I must decrease — John had an obsession with becoming unknown while trying to make Jesus well known.
  • This is a reverse kingdom with a reverse economy — the last shall be first, the humble shall be exalted and the proud made abased — and the one irreplaceable person in it is its King; you are replaceable, and I am replaceable, but Jesus is not.
  • John said the same thing in his own baptizing: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but there is one coming after me who is mightier than I, and He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Scriptures: John 3:30; Matthew 3:11

John Did No Miracle

  • John went away again beyond Jordan, to the place where John first baptized, and there he abode, and many resorted unto him.
  • What they said of him sums up the life he wants: John did no miracle, but everything John said about Jesus was true — he wishes somebody could one day say of him, he never did any miracle, but everything he said about Jesus was true.
  • He applies it to the host pastor: not one person could say Pastor Myers, as a man, did something for them, but for nearly 30 years he has walked to the pulpit as the lesser light, in effect declaring, I can't save you, but I know who can.
  • The reality lifts a pressure off: you cannot open blinded eyes, you cannot fill anybody with the Holy Ghost, you cannot put a family back together — but you know who can, and there is a pressure-free lifestyle in knowing this is not about you.
  • John is dead, yet the words he spoke about the Lamb are still ringing on, and many believed on Jesus there — the legacy he wants is that after he is dead and gone there is still revival, because of the way he talked about Jesus.

Scriptures: John 10:40

Lazarus: The Lesser Light They Tried to Kill

  • He goes to John chapter twelve: much people knew Jesus was there and came — they came to see Jesus, but that was not the only reason; they had also heard about Lazarus, the lesser light who had been raised from the dead.
  • People from our past are coming to church to see Jesus, but also to see the one who was brought out of darkness into His marvelous light, to know whether it is really real: it is one thing for Jesus to say, I am the resurrection; it is another thing for a human to say, He resurrected me.
  • The chief priests took counsel to kill Lazarus also, because the lesser light is how the greater light is manifested — if there are so many lesser lights, it becomes so apparent that nobody can deny this Jesus really is the true light of the world, so the way to deal with the greater light is to get rid of the lesser light.
  • He tells the hearers not to let the enemy downplay their testimony: we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, and even someone who does not know a lot of verses can say, I once was blind, and now I see.

Scriptures: John 12:9-11

Thirteen and a Half Years of Showing Up

  • He tells how he got in the church 14 years ago: he had a dream in which God showed him his family and they were all lost, and God told him He was going to reach his family — he could not make anybody live for God, but as the lesser light he could show up in the darkness of his family like John the Baptist, saying, I'm not the light; I'm just here to bear witness of the light.
  • His mother said she would never go to that church, but he kept showing up and never got confused about whose work it was — and finally his grandmother said she wanted to know about this light; she got a Bible study, got baptized, and got the Holy Ghost.
  • A cousin got so bad off on drugs that he had to go to prison; the preacher showed up at that prison, at the glass wall, with the light — the cousin got out, was taught a Bible study on a Saturday night, and he and his wife were baptized the next day, got the Holy Ghost, and got their children back, because the light overcomes the darkness.
  • For 13 and a half years his mother still said she was not coming — then in March of this year she came down: it was a Sunday morning, his pastor was out of the country, the Lord had spoken to him on Saturday night to just preach the Word and He would confirm it, and as he preached the Bible study his mother came down to the front, and 30 seconds later God filled her with the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  • Since that morning she has been bringing his aunt to church, his stepdad came to church in July and God filled him with the Holy Ghost, and a picture she sent two days ago shows the Lord dealing with her on her own, even on vacation.
  • His own summary of those years: it was never about me, it was always about Him — I am just like the moon; if there is no sun, there is no light, but if there is a sun, there shall be light, and the light can make it through any wall.

Send Me: The Closing Appeal

  • He calls those who need God to do a miracle in their family to get out of their chairs and come to the front, and to align themselves with this word by saying it themselves: God used me as the lesser light.
  • The conference is going home, and they are going home with the light — to reach the drug addict, to reach the single mom, to reach souls in darkness — and he asks for a moment of prayer that is not about what God can do for us, but about what God can do through us for somebody in darkness.
  • He tells how, when he first got in the church, he did not know any verses, so he just shared his testimony with anybody who would listen — and marketers are amazed that the greatest form of marketing is still word of mouth: somebody is waiting on a testimony that says, He brought me out, and if He brought me out, He can bring you out.
  • He has the lights rolled down to show how it works: this light is not very bright while the greater lights are on, but when it gets dark it does not increase in strength — it goes up in value; in the context of the night, people see the lesser light for what it is: the light of Christ, a living testimony, written epistles known of all men.
  • With hands lifted the people pray, God, send me — send me to talk about Jesus on my job and sing about Jesus on my campus, not just in the four walls of my church — and the capture ends inside that closing prayer appeal, the congregation lifting their voices, praying in the Holy Ghost and pushing back the darkness, with no benediction or dismissal in the captured audio.

and honor it is to be trusted in this last service. I know I'm standing between you and lunch, you and you getting back. So if nothing else, I'm just gonna give you a little homework today, something you can take home. Because I believe this is not just a conference, but this is something that is a movement, and I believe you're gonna take it back all across the state of Florida and wherever you come from. Amen.

Amen, Genesis chapter number one, Genesis chapter number one, and I wanna give special honor to the man of God that have spent some time with me and my wife this week. I've been so blessed by the preaching, but also just by the lunch conversations, sitting with heroes and listening to them break the bread of life. And I'm very, very thankful. Genesis one and one, the Bible says, in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void and darkness, was upon the first day of the week, the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, and God said, let there be light and there was light, and God saw that the light was good, and God divided the light from the darkness, verse 14, and God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years. Let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and it was so, and God made two great lights.

Look at your neighbor and say two great lights. The greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. And just for good measure, the writer just five words, there are 780,000 words in the Bible, five words is all he attributed. Just by this is just how big God is. He made the stars also.

One writer will go a step further and says, he knows them all by name. A parent knows how much of a miracle this is. You got two kids that can't call them the right name, but he's made, they estimate septillion stars, one by 24 zeros followed behind it. And God says, I just made it. I just made it.

But I wanna direct your attention, verse 16, God made two great lights, they're both great, one is greater and one is lesser. One rules the day, one will rule the night. I wanna preach to you in this last message of this amazing meeting about the lesser light. The lesser light. If you would, would you lift up your hands in the sanctuary and would you lift up your voice?

Come on, there's such an incredible atmosphere that's permeated this place since the first prayer meeting. I'm just asking you right now to join your faith with it, come on. I believe God wants to commission some people to send you father in Jesus' name. God, I'm asking you God to let a burden grip the heart of this generation. God, I pray that we would take what we have received and understand that there is still yet a great work to do.

God that we will not be satisfied and to every law so hears that there is a savior and to every addict hears that there is freedom and to every bound so hears that there is deliverance. God, we will not stop and to every person in false doctrine hears that you are the way, the truth and the life. So I'm thankful for what you have done. But God, I pray you give an awareness for what you are about to do and use us in this hour. In the name of Jesus Christ.

God, we believe that you're gonna talk to us today in the mighty name of Jesus. Come on, if you believe it, I want you to shout in Jesus' name. Come on, if you know that neither is there salvation in any other. For there is none under name, under heaven, given among men. Whereby we must be saved.

I want you to shout Jesus. Come on, if you know that whatsoever you do in word or indeed you must do it all in the name of Jesus. I want you to shout in Jesus' name. Come on, if you believe in the power of that name and that God is going to do something in this service one last time, I want you to just chill it by saying in Jesus' name. Amen, I want you to high five, two people say, you look better than me this morning.

You may be seated. I received the Holy Ghost 14 years ago this summer, July the 4th, 2010 was a real independence day for me. I baptized shortly thereafter, but there's always been something about the world even when I was in the world that was fascinating to me and that was creation. Even when I didn't know what the Bible says, even when I didn't understand what the scriptures reveal, I always knew there's gotta be some kind of divine designer. You see, anybody can make something with preexisting material, but to truly do the work of a creator, when you work with nothing and create everything.

Hebrews says by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, that the things which are seen were not made, the things which do appear. There's always been this fascination, this childlike fascination in my mind. It's just kind of the way I'm wired. I'm a thinker, I ask questions, a lot of questions. So when I got into the church and I began to read the book of Genesis chapter number one, like so many people have so many times because you said this is the year I'm gonna read my Bible all the way through.

Somewhere around January 12th you get hung up and you're like, oh, I'm gonna do it again next year. I believe the most read chapter in the book of the Bible is Genesis one, because you start fresh on January one. This is my year, I'm gonna do this. Genesis one tells us, now we can only comprehend it so much in our finite minds, but I just believe that the Bible is clear when it says in the beginning, God. And I choose to believe that that is more likely than just some cosmic accident that happened and some bang and everything just happened to appear the way it is.

There's too much complexity about our DNA and about the world and the earth's tilt and just the right distance we are. I believe it happened the way the Bible says it happened. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But the verse in creation that's always truly amazed me is verse number 16, when the Bible says that God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. God set a precedent in creation.

There were going to be two great lights, the greater light would rule the day, the lesser light would rule the night. Through science class we understand that these two great lights are the sun and the moon. The sun being the greater light and the moon being the lesser light. Both are great lights, one is just greater and one is just lesser. However, through science we also understand a very important principle about the relationship between these two lights.

And that is the moon in and of itself possesses no light. The sun is really the only true source of light. It is the role, it is the responsibility of the moon to understand that you are not the light, you are just meant to reflect the light. That is why there was darkness over the land on April the 8th, 2024, because the moon got out of alignment and got in the way of the sun. And when the moon gets in the way of the sun there's an eclipse and there's darkness over the land because God ordered it that there were going to be two great lights, but the greater light is the true source of light.

It is the lesser light's responsibility to stand in the night and the darkness of the night as a silent testimony that I know you can't see the sun right now, but as long as you can see me, I stand as a silent testimony, just hold on. I know everything is spinning, but the sun is gonna shine again because as long as you can see the moon, you know there's still a sun. In its creation of these two great lights, I see a beautiful parallel, the Jesus and the church. While the greater light is the true source of light, it is the lesser light that reflects the true light and the darkness of times to let the world know there's still a sun. The greater light is Jesus.

The lesser light is the church. Jesus put it like this in John 95. As long as I am in the world, I, Jesus, am the light of the world. But he told us disciples in Matthew chapter five and verse 16, but you are the light of the world, a city that settled a hill that cannot be hid. Neither do me and light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it's gonna give light to them that are in the house.

Verse 16, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Jesus told us disciples, as long as I'm in the world, I'm the light of the world, but there's coming a day that I shall leave, but don't be afraid. I'm gonna take the light in me and put it in you and you will be the light of the world. But you must settle the issue right now that when people see the light, you don't want them to see you. The Bible says when you see my good works, don't look inward, look upward because anything good about me is really about him.

Come on, I know we may be gifted and talented and anointing, but really by the grace of God, I am what I am. And so if there's any good about true, it's really just the goodness of Jesus. Because I and you are merely the lesser light that no matter how great we are, we're not the greater. Our mission is still the same. We won't be able to see the sun.

There is no light in and of ourselves, but there is a light that the greater light has placed inside of us that just reflects the glow and the glory of the one true light, Jesus Christ. When people see our good works, it should be as a sign to look upward and not to look at us. Listen to me for just a moment. Everybody in this room possesses a testimony that stands as a light in the night that there's still a God. And sometimes when your coworkers and your family and even the people at your church can't see the sun, when they see you, it just tells them, I may not can see the sun right now, but when I see you worshiping and when I see you praising, I know what God brought you out of.

I know who you used to be. And when I see you dancing and I see you shouting, it tells me, though I can't see it, I can see you. And when I look at you, I see him. It's no secret, it's in a dark place right now. But God set the order that the lesser light would rule the night.

I wanna just encourage you on this last service, this powerful conference that no matter how dark it gets, it will never extinguish the light. I wanna just let you know today, church, that the church is okay. That no matter how what kind of gross darkness we face out there, there's always gonna be a light. And God's gonna use his church as a beacon of hope and the darkness of night that when people are ready and they don't know where to turn, I'm gonna run to the lighthouse. I'm gonna run to the tower.

I'm gonna run to the church. Just come to remind somebody that was sinned at the bound. Grace will much more bound. Come on, I'd like the old prophet. There shall be light in the evening time.

Come on, I know where our backs are against the wall. And I know you know this, but I want you to believe this, that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. And really the darkness is gonna work in our favor. Really the confusion is gonna work in our favor. Really the chaos is gonna work in our favor because now people know who the true church is and now they know where to go.

I see this parallel in John 1. Bible says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God and all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. And him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shining the darkness and the darkness could not comprehend it. That word means to take or to grasp or to stop.

Here's what the Bible says in Jesus was the light and when the light showed up, the darkness tried to stop it but it was unsuccessful. It was unsuccessful then and it's unsuccessful now. Can I tell you in every era and every culture they've always tried to put out the light but here we are in 2024 shining bright. I know they can't comprehend it but they also can't stop it. I know they can't comprehend it but they also can't kill it.

Bible says verse six and there was a man sent from God whose name was John. Bible says the same came for a witness to bear witness of the light that all men through him I believe he was a powerful prophet of God. One that the Old Testament would tell us would come. A forerunner, a voice crying out in the wilderness. Prepare ye the way of the Lord.

This was John the Baptist but John said the record straight at the outset of this ministry. He says in verse eight, I have come to bear witness of the light that all men might believe verse eight but I want you to understand I'm not the light. I'm just here to bear witness of the light. Who's the light? Verse nine, that true light that's gonna light the way for every man that comes into the world.

John the Gospel writer is writing about John the Baptist. This prophet of God that's preparing the way. This prophet of God that's baptizing people but John said let me set the record straight. I'm not the light. I'm not the Messiah.

Matthew 11 and 11. This is what Jesus said about this man of God. Among men that were born of woman there have not risen up one greater than John the Baptist. He was a great light but he had a revelation. I'm still the lesser light.

And so he says in John one and six, I'm gonna read it again. There was a man sitting from God whose name was John. He came to bear witness of the light that all men are gonna believe but he said I just gotta set the record straight. I'm not the light. The Pharisees are a little confused.

So in verse 19 they start asking some questions. This is a record of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him. Well if you're not the light who are you? He says he confessed the night not but confess. I am not the Christ.

He says verse 23, I am the voice of the one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord. It was John that prepared the way for the first coming of Jesus Christ. Come on I believe it's the role of the church to prepare the way to let the world know he's coming again but don't ever get conflicted. This ain't about you and this ain't about me.

This is about Jesus. Come on preacher you may be a great preacher but you don't preach so people see you. You preach so people see him. You may be a great musician but you don't play so people see you. You play so people see Jesus.

So John, John is letting them know I'm sent to prepare the way but I don't want you to get confused in your mind. I don't want you to start worshiping me. Don't start bowing down to me. I'm not him. So they ask him in verse 25.

John one if you're not him why are you baptizing? John answered his head in verse 28. I baptize with water but there's none of the one among you whom you know not. Verse 27. He it is who is prefer who is coming after me but he is preferred before me who shoo latchets I'm not worthy to unloose.

He says this in verse 15 of John one. John bear witness of him and cry out saying this is the one I've been talking about. He comes after me but he was preferred before me because he was before me. I know I'm older than him and I know you don't understand this right now but it's like Jesus telling them before Abraham was. I am.

They don't understand what John is talking about but they're soon about to get the revelation of who the Messiah is and he was gonna be God manifested in the flesh. So verse 29 says the next day John stands and sees Jesus coming. And he said this, behold, look, there he is. The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. He said this is whom I said and after me, it's preferred before me John reiterates this multiple times.

Come on, I know I've got disciples now. I know I got me in following me now. I know I got me in learning from me now but I'm gonna just tell you when I see Jesus I've gotta make a vocal declaration. That's him. So the Bible says five verses later and again the next day John stood but the Lamb and now he's got two disciples with him and they're standing with him.

He's their teacher. He's been teaching them. They've been learning. They've been learning about his ways. Why are you dressed different?

Why aren't you cut from a different cause? Why aren't you do? I wanna be like you John. And the Bible says the next day, same thing happened. Jesus walks by but now he's got two disciples but the Bible says when Jesus walked by though he's got two men that's been following him.

Brother Dylan, the Bible says he looked at Jesus and he said these words, behold the Lamb of God. Here's what amazes me, those two disciples. Said John, it's been great following you but I'm following him. And here's what you don't see John saying. No, no, no, no, no, don't go because John had an understanding.

This has never been about me. My entire purpose was to get you to follow him. So I'm gonna ask you this morning, do you talk about Jesus in such a way that when people hear it, they say I wanna follow that God. Watch this, go to the next verse. The Bible says the two disciples, all they heard him speak was how he spoke about the Lamb.

I've gotta ask myself the question. Do I speak about the Lamb in such a way that maybe people that don't know him would wanna say there's something about the way you talk about that God that makes me curious to know him. Do I talk about the church in such a way that somebody on my job would say, I've never been to East wind, I've never been to Tree of Life, I've never been to Bogalus of First Church but there's something about the way you talk about that church. Do I talk about my pastor in such a way that they hear me talk about him and they say there's some way that you talk about him that it puts a conviction in my heart. John never got conflicted because John knew this has always been about Jesus.

The goal was never to build John's kingdom. This was never about the following of John. Everything I've ever done, every word I've ever prophesied was about him. John says, go, I'm just the lesser light and my role is simply to show you who the greater light is. Here's what I've come to preach to you on this Saturday morning.

I'm not asking you to be a savior. I'm just asking you to show somebody who the savior is. I'm not asking you to heal anybody. I'm just asking you to show somebody who the healer is. I'm not asking you to deliver anybody.

I'm just asking you to show somebody who the deliver is because you are the light of the world. Come on, let it shine on your job. Let it shine to your lost family. Let it shine on your campus and just let everybody know I can't give you a breakthrough that I can show you who can. I can't help your anxiety, but I can show you who can.

It's the ministry of the moon, the role of the lesser light in this selfie, self-absorbed world. I'm praying that my generation and the generations after me will become obsessed with the spirit and mind of John the Baptist who say it's not about me. This has never been about me. This has never been about my kingdom, my ministry, my anointing. Oh no, this has always been about Jesus.

That's why this man was saying, John 3 and 30. He must increase. I must decrease. John had this obsession with becoming unknown while trying to make Jesus well known. I don't ever want somebody to only remember John.

I want everything to be about Jesus. And in the world that's trying to make everything about me, everything about us, what do I want? What do I get out of this? How can I gain from this? Come on, this is not the kingdom of this world.

This is a reverse kingdom. There's a reverse economy in this kingdom. The last shall be first. The humble shall be exalted and the proud would be made a base. Come on, there are things done differently in this kingdom, but the first thing you must understand about this kingdom, it's only about one and that is the king of this kingdom.

This is not about me. This is not about you. You are replaceable. I am replaceable, but the irreplaceable one of this kingdom is Jesus. So John, John had an understanding.

I'm just a lesser light. Everything I have is based on my ability to reflect the light. So John says in Matthew 3 and 11, I indeed baptize you with water and to repentance. There's one that's coming after me. He's my dear than I.

And he's gonna baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Bible says in John 10, 40. John went away again beyond Jordan. Or they went away again beyond Jordan, the place where John did first baptize and there he abode talking about Jesus. And many resorted to him.

This is what they said. John did no miracle. Everything John said about Jesus was true. I can think of no one line to summarize our life than for somebody to be able to say, Brother Colton never did any miracle. But everything he said about Jesus was true.

Because here's the reality. You can't do miracles anyway. So your mind's well started right now that this ain't about me. This is about Jesus. I can't open the blinded eyes, but I know who can.

I can fill you with the Holy Ghost, but I know who can. I can't put your family back together, but I know who can. John never did any miracle. Pastor Myers, not one person at East Wing could ever say, Pastor Myers, as a man, did this for me. But what they can say is for nearly 30 years, he walked to a pulpit as the lesser light and just declared, I can save you, but I know who can.

And what it'd be a precious testimony for some saints to God that would be the gather around one day and say, Pastor never did any miracle. But everything Pastor told me about Jesus was true. It was true. God really is a healer. God really is a way maker.

God really is a provider. God really is faithful. John's dead here. Go to the next verse. And many believed on Jesus there.

John, you're not even alive anymore, but the words you spoke about the Lamb, they're ringing on and we're still having revival because you always knew this ain't about me. Even in your death, it wasn't about your life. It was about Jesus. That's the kind of legacy I wanna have. It's not about me, but after I'm dead and gone, there's still a revival because there was something away that young man talked about Jesus, prayed on Jesus.

It was never about true. It was always about Jesus. Come on, can I just challenge a musician, be a great musician, but don't let it be about your ability. Let it be about Jesus. Be a great singer, but don't let it be about your voice.

Let it be about Jesus. Be a great preacher. Be blessed. Have great revival, but don't ever forget, he shares his glory with no... I want somebody to lift their hands.

I wanna free you from the pressure of making this about you. There's a pressure-free lifestyle you can have when you know it's not about you. It takes the weight off your shoulders when you understand I can do it anyway. I need God to help me. Would you to go to John 12?

The land that Anaheim did not talk. He goes to John 12 toward the end of his message. Would you to go to 12 and nine? Would you to watch what the Bible says? John 12 and nine.

Much people of the Jews, therefore, knew not that he was there. Watch this, they came. They were a sheety, they came to see Jesus. That's not the only reason they came. They heard it, they heard about the lesser light.

Let me tell you something, this is what your life is. Come on, there's people in here, people used to go to the club with. Okay, this is the sanctified section. I need some people that's been brought out. The people you used to cuss with and drink with.

They're coming to your church. Yeah, they're coming to see Jesus, but they're also coming to see you who has been brought out of darkness into his marvelous, they wanna know, is it really real? And I can see that it's real because Lazarus is alive. It's one thing for Jesus to say, I am the resurrection. It's another thing for a human to say, he resurrected me.

Don't let the enemy downplay your testimony. Come on, remind somebody, we still overcome by the blood of the land and by the word of testimony. I need somebody with the testimony that he brought me out of darkness into his marvelous light. I was once not a people, but now I am the people. Watch verse 10, verse 10, they hear about the lesser light.

The chief priest said, we gotta kill this joker again because it's the lesser light that the greater light is manifested through. And here's what the priest wanted to do. We gotta get rid of the lesser light because if there's so many lesser lights, it's gonna cause it uproar because then it's gonna be so apparent that nobody can deny it, that this Jesus really is the true light of the world. So how do we deal with the greater light? We gotta get rid of the lesser light.

Watch verse, what's the next verse, verse 11, but because of that reason, because of when they saw Lazarus, there was something undeniable about the work the greater light did and the lesser light, that people said, I may try to disagree with the teaching, I may try to disagree with the principles, but when I see a real life miracle, I can't disagree with what God did in you. Come on, you may not know a lot of verses, but you have a testimony that God has given you to publish to the world. I don't know how to articulate it. All I know is I once was blind and now I see. Come on, I hear the Old Testament prophet.

There was the people that was in great darkness, but God has brought them to the light. Come on, does anybody got a testimony that he brought me out of darkness? He brought me out of darkness? Won't you stand with me, music is could come. I got in the church where the Myers 14 years ago.

I don't have time to go into all the story, maybe tomorrow, it was a miraculous experience. I had a dream and the dream God showed me, my family, they were all lost. I got the Holy Ghost in July, I got baptized, went back to college, but God told me he was gonna reach my family. So I said, you know what I'm gonna do? I can't make anybody live for God.

I can tell you what I can do is the lesser light is I can show up to the darkness of my family reunions like John the Baptist. I'm not the light. I'm just here to bear witness of the light. Ha, I didn't do this, Jesus did this, but there's something about light that the darkness can't comprehend, it can't stop it. And so they would try to fight it, but sooner or later, the light was too much.

When I first got in the church, my mom's probably watching, she knows the church, she tries to deny it. She said, I will never go to that church. I said, well, we'll just see what the light can do. She's in darkness, she don't know any better, but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, come on, I just believe that true light can light any situation. So I just kept showing up in the darkness, but never getting confused.

It was never about me. It was always about him. Then finally my grandmother said, I want to know about this light. She got a Bible study, got baptized, got the Holy Ghost. I had a cousin who got so bad off on drugs, he had to go to prison.

So I showed up to that prison, to the glass wall, but in the darkness of that prison, I showed up with the light. I never made it about me. I made it about what he did in me, because I'm just like the moon. If there's no sun, there's no light. But if there is a sun, there shall be light.

The light can make it through that glass defining wall. My cousin got out of prison. I taught him a Bible study on a Saturday night. Him and his wife, they had lost their children so bad off on drugs. They ran darkness, but hello to the light.

They got baptized the next day. They got the Holy Ghost. They got their children back, because the light is going to overcome the darkness. For 13 and a half years, my mother said, I still ain't coming. And then in March of this year, she came down.

There's a lot of other miracles along the way, but for the sake of time, I will expedite the story. She came down on March the 17th. I was preaching on a Sunday morning. My pastor was out of the country. I got up and preached the Bible study, because the Lord spoke to me on Saturday night and said, Drew, if you'll just preach my word, I will confirm it.

So I just got up and preached about the Bible. Brother Ershen preached about Jesus, and then my mother came down to the front. My wife went over in the middle of the aisle, beginning to lay hands on her. I laid hands on her, and 30 seconds later, at the 13 and a half years, of me just bringing the light, just showing up with the light, just going to the house with the light. All of a sudden, the light was too much, and God filled her with the gift of the Holy Ghost.

They got a picture. That was the morning. My mother got introduced to the light. She's been bringing my aunt to church. My stepdad came to church in July.

God filled him with the Holy Ghost. She sent me a picture two days ago. She was on vacation. Won't you show the picture? I've never had one conversation with my mom about any sort of hole in this conversation.

On our own, the Lord started dealing with her. And you know you got the real Holy Ghost. When you dress and write on vacation. I'm not going to meddle with nobody, but I'm telling you, you can't stop the light. You can't, come on.

And for 13 and a half years, they lived in darkness, Colton. But when I just kept showing up, I'm not the light, but I know who is. I'm not the healer, but I know who is. I'm not the one that can break you out, but I know who can. I need some people right now who need God to do a miracle in your family, to get out of your chair, and make your way down to this front.

And I want you to align yourself with this word, the lesser light. God used me as the lesser light. God used me as the lesser light. Come on, what are we doing? We're going home from Wednesday, 2024.

And we're going home with the light. We're going home to reach our soul and darkness. We're going home to reach our drug addict, to reach a single mom. Come on, I know there's been a lot of God moments about us this week. But I wish right now we could have a moment that says this ain't about me.

This is about somebody that's in darkness. I know most of the altercalls are about what God can do for me. But I pray right now, you would have a moment of prayer about what God can do through you. Come on, they're in darkness, but you have the light. You may not be the greater light, but you're still a great light.

Come on, you're still illumination. In the midst of the iniquity, lift up your voice. Come on, somebody needs the light. Somebody needs the light. Somebody needs the light.

Come on, the devil is a liar. The darkness will not prevail. The darkness will not prevail. The darkness will not prevail. Come on, lift up your voice.

Come on, there's intercession in the room. Send me God. Send me God. Rabbi Satayada, I will not hide the light. I will not conceal the light.

Put it under a bushel. No, I'm gonna let it shine. There's drug addicts that need the light. There's suicidal friends that need the light. There are family members that need the light.

Satayada, Rabbi, yo, yo, Rabbi. Come on, don't get used to the light. Don't get satisfied with the light. Somebody's in darkness. Somebody's in darkness.

Somebody's in darkness. Koto rabbiya, father right now. Let a burden baptize this generation. Let a burden baptize this generation. I gotta find a low soul.

I gotta find a low soul. I want us to make a vow, right? I'm not just gonna sing about him and talk about him in front of people that already know him. Here's what I did when I first got in the church. Brother Erzine, I didn't know any verses.

So I just shared my testimony with anybody who would listen. And they've done all this study and spent all this money. And marketers are amazed that the greatest form of marketing is steel. Word of mouth. You know why you go eat somewhere?

Cause somebody told you he was good. You know why you buy that perfume? Cause somebody said it smells good. I'm gonna tell you what somebody's waiting on. It's a word of mouth.

A testimony. I'm not really good at eschatology. There's some things I'm still learning. But here's what I can tell you. He brought me out.

And if he brought me out, he can bring you out. I wanna show you how this works. Here's the promise. The lesser light would rule the night. Is the lighting man back there, Brother Dylan?

I don't want anybody to move. If you're back there, I just want you to roll the lights down. I wanna show you something. Can you do that? This light's not very bright when the greater lights are on.

But when it gets dark, it didn't increase in strength. It just went up in value. I know you think you're not much in the light, but when you get in the context of the night, all of a sudden, people start seeing you for what you are. You are the light of Christ. You are a living testimony.

You are written epistles, written and known of all men. Come on, you can turn it back up. Here's what I want you to do. Lift up your hands and say, God, send me. Send me.

Send me as a lot. Send me. Oh, I'm gonna talk about Jesus, but I'm gonna do it on my job. I'm gonna sing about Jesus, but I'm gonna do it on my campus, not just in the four walls of my church. Come on, lift up your voice.

Come on, lift up your voice. You are the light. Come on, lift up your voice. Pray in the Holy Ghost. Pray in the Holy Ghost.

So, to rabbiah. Come on, we're piercing the darkness. We're pushing back the darkness. We're pushing back the darkness.
