There's Victory in Your Valley

i'm going to be preaching tonight out of the book of genesis chapter 26 beginning with verse 1. and i just want to say how i believe god is going to bring us through whatever that we encounter i don't care what that he brings on us i don't care what we have to go through but hear my voice tonight we are a church of overcomers and we're going to hold on to the never changing hand of god and he will continue to take us forward genesis 26 chapter 1 through 6 and the bible says

and there was a famine in the land somebody say famine beside the first famine that was in the days of abraham and isaac went unto abimelech king of the philistines unto gerar and the lord appeared unto him and said go not down into egypt dwell in the land which i shall tell thee of sojourn in this land and i will be with thee i will bless thee for unto thee and unto thy seed i will give all these countries and i will perform the oath which i swear unto abraham thy father

and i will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of the heaven and i will give unto thy seed all these countries and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because that abraham obeyed somebody said obeyed my voice and kept my charge my commandments and my statutes and my laws and isaac dwelt in gerar

i want to preach tonight with the title there's victory in your valley there's victory in your valley it's a different title from what i gave them upstairs but they'll pull it up later on i'll just i feel the holy ghost in this house tonight i come to preach to somebody i come to preach to somebody i need you to hear me i come to preach to somebody about your valley tonight

would you pray with me lord we lift up the holy name of jesus tonight and we're asking for a move of the holy ghost in this place god we submit ourselves to your will here in this building i pray every mind and every ear will be open to the voice of the lord as you speak so profoundly in this place anoint my lips to speak your word with power and with passion and boldness in the holy ghost

let me walk and talk in the spirit of god and let us leave changed in this place tonight we'll give you the praise the glory and the honor for it in jesus name we pray amen and amen you can be seated in jesus name tonight

you will have to excuse my attire as i look casual tonight i do not have my tie on and i know the anointing comes from a necktie and i do apologize for that no i'm just kidding i usually always have a necktie on i love to wear them you know the problem i loved this shirt and i wanted to wear this shirt but i didn't have a tie to match this shirt and i knew if i ever changed shirts oh it just goes downhill from there so i just kept this shirt on so i hope that you will forgive me tonight

i want to let somebody know that god honors obedience and god blesses obedience and god is looking for someone just someone to be obedient bible says in first samuel chapter 15 verse 22 and samuel said hath the lord as great delight and burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the lord behold to obey is better than sacrifice listening to the voice of god is better than giving up anything that you've ever had to hear the voice of the lord and to obey his voice and to hearken than the fat of rams if we plan on living for god we gotta plan on listening to god

and the bible tells us that isaac did just that there was a famine in the land and there must isaac must have intended on going down to the land of egypt because the bible says that god just stopped him in his tracks the beautiful thing about living for god is if you have a relationship with him sometimes he'll just stop you in your tracks sometimes he'll just quicken your spirit and say hold on you don't need to go there you don't need to do this he said isaac i don't want you to go down to egypt but i want you to stay where you are god wanted him in gerar

and i don't know what your garage is tonight but god's just wanting somebody to stay exactly where you are tonight just because there's a famine just because things are getting bad just because things ain't looking good he don't want you going down to egypt but he wants you to stay where you are

there's not provision in egypt there's not blessings in egypt there's not anything better in egypt but he said stay in the land and which i have commanding you can i tell you that god wants you somewhere and he does he absolutely wants you somewhere and he wants you there for a reason and if you will listen closely enough and if you look closely enough he will tell you or he'll show you the reason for the place where you are

he began to give isaac some promises he not only told him that he wanted him there but he told him why he wanted him there he said i will be with thee does anybody want god with you you better stay in his will he said i will bless thee

does anybody want the blessings of the lord we've got to stay in his will he said i will perform the oath which i spake to your father and in my original reading the bible says that because abraham obeyed god had given him the oath

and so isaac it fell under him to do the same thing if he would be obedient that same oath was going to be given to him can i tell you the same promise that god gave our forefathers is the same promise that is going to be extended to you if you'll follow after god's word if you'll obey his word and if you will stay in his will i told isaac if you'll stay where i tell you to stay if you'll obey my voice like abraham did you're going to be a very blessed man isaac listened to god but here's what isaac did the bible said

then isaac sowed in that land this is genesis 26 12-17 then isaac sowed in that land you've got to learn to start sowing where god has planted you we've got some people that are expecting god to take you somewhere else but you ain't even planting in the land that he has you planted in right now

how can god bring you to the next level if you're not bringing forth fruit in the situation in the place that you are now god is not going to take you over if you can't handle some things where you are at if you can't pray where you're at if you can't serve god where you're at you're not going to serve him across the river you're not going to serve him once you get a brother or sister in front of your name or a reverend or a teacher in front of if you can't serve god now how are you going to serve him later

come on somebody i need you to hear me in this house you need to start sowing in the ministry that he has you in you need to start sowing in the group that he has put you in you need to start sowing at the job that he has put you in because where you are at right now currently if you have heard the voice of god and you believe that you're in this church for a reason i just want you to start serving like you believe that you are here for a reason i want you to live for god like you know that you are here for a reason

oh we've got so many that are desiring to be somewhere else they're here in the body but they're somewhere else in the mind god wants you to be here in the body and here in the mind because if he has your full attention he'll open up the windows of heaven and he'll pour out blessings upon your life

and the bible says in the same year isaac received a hundred fold he got a hundred times more than he had when he came into the land that's what i want for us we find a hundredfold somewhere else in the word of god in the book of matthew chapter 13. and the bible says but he that received seed into good ground listen to me is he that heareth the word and understandeth it which also bear fruit and bringeth forth some a hundredfold some sixty and some 30.

some of you are wondering why you are not prospering in your situation it's because you haven't been letting god plant no seeds in your life you ain't been letting god let you sow where you are currently at a hundred times more eyes at god and i believe that where we are at in this day in this hour if we'll start to sow where we are at god can bring a hundred fold more things than we currently have and pour it out upon us

i must not have any business owners in here i must not have any struggling parents in here i need you to hear me if you'll obey the word of god and if you will faithfully serve where you're at god will bless you a hundredfold does anybody want our businesses to be blessed i come to tell you i've been praying for our businesses in this church and i believe god wants such to prosper

i don't believe we should be a poor church i don't believe we should have poor people and filled with poor businesses but i believe god wants to open up the windows of heaven and pour out a hundred fold upon us it's not meant for the church of the living god to struggle he said the poor will shall be with you always that's okay we'll we'll take care of the poor but i believe god wants to take care of the church in a way that we've never seen david said i've never seen the righteous forsaken nor is seed begging bread

why don't somebody speak that over your business right now say god i'm claiming a hundredfold we're going to play it where we're at and we're going to believe for it god blessed isaac greatly because he obeyed the word and he sowed in the land of gerar he reaped the promise of prosperity no i'm not here to preach any prosperity gospel to you but i do firmly believe that god will open up the windows of blessing in this church if we will give the way we're supposed to give

let me tell you something about abraham this is the first example of tithing that we have in scripture the priest melchizedek came unto abraham he was the priest of salem the king of salem there and as he came to abraham the bible says abraham gave him a tenth of what he had he gave him the first tithe ever and abraham was a was a very blessed man

if you ain't been paying your tithes and you've been struggling why don't you just start paying your tithes a little bit the bible says the tithe is holy and if you'll start giving to god he'll give to you tithes are not outdated offerings are not outdated people's just too lazy to give they don't believe god they don't believe his word but i'm gonna preach it's essential to die to get into heaven it's essential to tithe to get into heaven the bible says the tithe is holy

what did he tell us he said be a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto god and you cannot be holy before god if you do not tithe i know it's not popular i don't care anyway i'll preach it you're not pleasing to god if you're not tithing

he was still in garror but listen to what happens here the bible says that they kicked him out of their land the bible says the man waxed great speaking of isaac and went forward and grew until he became very great he had possessions of flocks possessions of herds a great store of servants and the philistines envied him for all the whales which his father's servant had digged in the days of abraham as fathers the philistines had stopped them and filled them with earth

but listen to what abimelech said unto eyes he said go from us for thou art much mightier than we and isaac departed the ants and pitched his tent in the valley of gerar and dwelt there can i tell you today that isaac was sowing in that land god had blessed him in that land but all of a sudden he was removed from the city and he went into the valley but i want to bring this to somebody's attention tonight he didn't just go to any valley but he went to the valley of gerar he kept his mind in that city and

what i'm trying to get across to this church tonight that even though you may be in a valley tonight if you're in the midst of god's will that's exactly where you are supposed to be hear me now isaac did not lose his flocks when he went into the valley he did not lose his possessions when he didn't win to the valley he did not lose his relationship with god in the valley

the devil's lied to some of you and he's been telling you that just because you're in the valley he's changed your whole situation but i come to tell you you were the same person before you went in that valley that you're the same person now you've still got god's hand on your life you still got the blessings of the lord on your life you've just changed places

let me tell you just because the altitude changes don't mean the place changes you're still in the same place you're just at a different altitude and god's got a different altitude for some of us we got to be willing to serve him when we're up high and we're going to serve him when we're down low we're going to serve him in there in the city and we're going to serve him when they're on the street i don't guess anybody is going to help me preach tonight i'll preach anyway come on i need somebody to realize that your valley is exactly where you're supposed to be

the bible says that there was some whales in that valley isaac's father abraham had been in the valley before just so happened he'd been in that same valley can i tell you god's already got you provision in your valley oh man god's already made you provision in your valley it's just covered up you can't see it but if you'll start looking a little bit it'll take a little bit of digging but i'm going to tell you who's made it easier is our elders who went before us you know why

because when they was in the valley they left some provision for you they made the work a little bit easier for you they can pat you on the back when you're in despair and you're in heartache and say i've been there before and let me tell you exactly what i had to do to get through

oh i need some young people that's going to grab a hand of one of our elders and say this is what i'm going through i know you've probably been through it before will you tell me how you got through it just been quick into this verse the bible says we are made overcomers by the word by our word of our testimony and the blood of the lamb

what if we become overcomers by the word of somebody else's old testimony what if we become overcomers because somebody can come up to us and say i've been exactly where you are if you'll do this if you'll stay faithful god will bring you through your battle come on i come to talk to our elders the bible says the older supposed to teach the young girl why don't you take one of these young men or young ladies by the hand and say let me help you pray you through your valley let me help you through your struggle let me help you through your temptation because i've been there before

don't let them fight it on their own hell's bad hell's tough but when the church comes together we can bring our youth through we can bring our children through we can bring our elders through but it's going to take everybody he found these whales in this valley and they started to re-dig them started to re-dig that dirt but they already knew where they were at and made it easier for them and the bible says that he named these whales the same name that his father had named these whales

can i tell you tonight that you're not the only one who has been in the valley you're not the first and you're not going to be the last you may be in a valley tonight but if you're in the valley that you're instructed to be in god has provision for you all you have to do is re-dig somewhere else all you have to do is redo what somebody else done to get water in their valley of first

i know you're thirsty but there's water in your valley i know you're hungry but there's food in your valley i know you're sad but there's joy in your valley i know you're bound but there's deliverance in your valley your vow has got exactly what you need

but hear what the bible says after he had found the whales that had fathers once dug the bible says isaac's servants started digging a whale now upon further investigation here i was first under the impression that isaac was just digging the wells that abraham had dug because the bible says that he called them the same names that abraham called them

but when you read this scripture the bible says that his servants started giving digging them whales and he gave them new names what i came to tell somebody here tonight is though you may re-dig the valley of the wells in your valley that somebody else has already been if you want to make it through you're going to have to start digging some wells yourself

you can't just depend on the advice of somebody else but you're gonna have to work for your valley too you don't have to get a shovel in your hand and say i'm in this valley for a reason i'm gonna dig like i've never dug before the ground may be rocky the ground may be tough but i got god on my side i'm gonna start digging and when i dig i'm gonna dig till i hit water cause water is what i need look at what this says

and isaac's servants digged in the valley and they found a well of springing water you know what the hebrew word for springing is in this text living water he didn't say he found that in abraham's whale but when he started to dig they found a whale that was filled with living water you know what's going to get you through your valley when you start dipping in that well of everlasting water that well of life that well that's going to get you through the other side

he told the lady at the well he said you can get as much from this well as you want but if you'll dip from me i've got some water that'll never make you thirst again you may be thirsty now but you need to start dipping into the word of god you need to start dipping into the promises of god

there is life for you in the valley you can stay in your valley if you want to and live your whole life there or you can do what i'm telling you and make provision for yourself while you're there so god can eventually bring you out bible says they started to dig they found that well of living water

but here's what happened there are some people in that valley too and they said this is our water this is our provision let me tell you this it ain't nobody's valley but your valley it ain't nobody's well but you're well the devil's a liar and if he tells you that's his valley he's a liar from hell he didn't put you in there and he can't take you out but god put you in there and he can take you out it's your valley you need to start proclaiming that to the adversary

this is my valley i'm here by appointment i'm here because god told me to be here i'm here for a purpose he's convinced some of you that you're going to die where you're at you're never going to get out of this mindset you're never going to live again but thus saith the word of the lord i have chosen a valley for you in this hour he's got a valley for you god i hope i'm getting across somebody tonight

he said the water is ours and he can't name the well essec because they strove with him listen let me tell you there's going to be some opposition in the valley it's not going to always going to be roses and lollipops there's going to be some opposition there you're going to have to face some temptation but you just look your temptation square to the eye and say i don't know who you think you are but i'm the same man i was before i walked into this valley

can i tell you this that your relationship with god did not change when you went into the valley unless you changed if you're the same person that you was when you went into that valley you got the same power that you once ever had you've got the authority the bible says resist the devil and he'll flee from you the bible says we are more than conquerors through him that have loved us he said we are more than overcomers we're a holy nation a royal priesthood a chosen generation we've been set apart for such a time as this

he dug new wells and he prospered when he sold in the land he prospered in the land when he dug in the valley he struck living water in the valley i come to tell you there's provision and prosperity even in your valley get your shovel and start digging just because your altitude changes as i've already said if you're where god has called you to be he will give you favor

when you find success in your valley you can give someone else hope and help in theirs the bible says elijah made a huge proclamation told him it ain't gonna rain there's gonna be a famine he just told him he just spoke by faith the bible says god told him to go down to the brook cherith so brook it was drying up the bible says he sent ravens forth to him to feed him and water him

if he tells you to go to the brook you better go to the brook he'll do whatever it takes to provide for you next he sent him to some old widow woman that wanted to die depressed but he said bake me a cake she provided for him it looked uncertain but because he heard the voice of the lord because he felt this is what he should proclaim he held on to that and god made provision for him

god will sustain you even in your valley the next thing that god did for isaac he gave him another promise when he was there the bible says after he gave him a promise he builded an altar there and he called upon the name of the lord and he pitched his tent there and their isaac servants digged a whale they were some whale diggers no matter where they went away said we're going to have a whale wherever we go

god gave isaac peace even in the valley can i tell you no matter where you're at tonight god will give you peace god will be with you god will go before you he'll go beside you he'll go behind you he will protect you he builded an altar there you know what you need in your valley you need a praise you know what happened when he built an altar when he sacrificed when he had a little praise in him god gave him some peace ah you ain't hearing me tonight when they were able to praise in his valley he got a promise he praised and god brought him peace

some of you need to learn to praise in your valley you don't need to be a knot on the log in your valley you don't need to sit there on your thumb you don't need to sit on your hands you don't need to keep your mouth shut but you need to proclaim that even in the valley bless the name of the lord even in the valley i will magnify the lord i will lift up his name because he's going to bring me out you got to have a praise in your valley

don't just praise him on the mountaintop praise him in the valley don't just praise him when everything's going good praise him when things are going bad you want to confuse the devil then you just need to start praising god even on a wednesday night he still wants us to praise him even when the bills ain't paid he still wants us to praise him even though we're dealing with sickness and he healed us yet he still wants us to praise it things happen when we praise

as he was in this valley then something amazing happened the people that once kicked him out of the city came down to him and said isaac we see that you're blessed of god we see that you've got god's favor on your life the greatest testimony that you can have is to be the same mighty man in the valley the same mighty woman in the valley that you was when you were not in the valley god don't want no wishy-washy christian he don't want nobody that's weak in the valley and strong on the mountain

david said yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil the devil has no power over you tonight the devil has not got your steps ordered out for you but you're fallen after the steps of the lord

stand to your feet tonight i don't feel like i've got a cross here tonight maybe i have but if somebody's dealing with a valley tonight you're there if you've obeyed the voice of the lord by appointment i know it's five after i believe somebody needs a praise somebody needs a praise we don't have to have music to have praise i love it i wish they would sing something if not i wish we'd play something but when he built an altar in his valley things started to change peace started to come

i wonder tonight if somebody's in a valley and you feel like oh god oh god surely you don't have me here i'm not understanding it but i know you told me to go here i know you told me to do these things i know you told me exactly where to go but i i just don't understand it

heard this story once of this woman god was dealing with her and i believe the story goes that she was there washing dishes she was in her house cleaning and she had a relationship with god she felt like just the holy ghost told her go out on the porch just wave got on the porch and wave

so she did what any crazy woman or crazy man see sometimes we obey god we ain't gonna we think we're crazy will i look somebody sees me doing this right now they're gonna think i'm wild and out of control

but as she went out there on that porch and waved i think those story goes there was a man who came by he was driving he just seen her waving at him he was on his way to commit suicide he's seen that old woman waving at him he said well maybe somebody really does care for me you're not listening to god thinking you're crazy because nothing's going to happen god's going to perform if he spoke it to you if he's spoken over your family if he's given you a promise tonight

i wonder if we can confound the adversary tonight and we can just let him know that god i'm gonna praise you no matter what i don't care if what i'm praying for i don't get the answer i'm still gonna praise you tonight come on can somebody just start to praise god right now i believe that something will break in here why don't you praise him even if it ain't gonna happen why don't you praise him with a loud voice right now as they begin to sing let's just have a good holy ghost time tonight

do me like jesus jesus me is told me is jesus turned jesus around today is turn my life around fill me with the holy ghost turn my jesus victory we are a victorious life church please jesus do me like jesus and he turned me around he picked me up and he turned me around he picked me up and he turned me around he's my friend my he filled me with the holy my life around he will be with the holy ghost ain't nobody

they sing a song earlier shake the foundation and the little pre-story to that is paul and silas were sitting in chains they were sitting in a prison cell do you think if they haphazardly said god i need something done god i need to move and just stop i believe it

i feel a little prophetic in the house tonight i believe there's somebody here that feels bound but i'm here to tell you tonight if you just keep on going if you keep on praising and you keep on praying god's got something for you don't stop now why not just go ahead and shake that foundation tonight nobody jesus i mean turn me around me please let the holy ghost through our jesus jesus oh yeah

there is victory in your valley if you believe it why don't you clap your hands into the lord right now i don't just need you to believe it i need you to live it i need you to live it you give me a man or a woman that praises no matter what i'll show you somebody that has victory no matter what praise is comely among the uh pride

i want to thank you so much for being in church tonight and i hope that i spoke to somebody in this house i i really felt as if some people often think that uh just because they're going through a tough time in their life that uh they're not in the will of god and that's not always the case sometimes we just go through tough times they don't put yourself in a bad place and call it god's will just because it's your will but if you know it's his voice you go ahead and follow it and god will give you favor
