Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
God's Instructions for Assembling the Tabernacle
- The year-long Ecclesia study has followed how God communicated His plan in Exodus - what He wanted, how He wanted it, and how He interacted with mankind - and this session looks at God's provision and the end result when the job was done.
- God is a God of detail: He gave Moses the specifics, the materials, and what to do with them, and He does not leave it to us to figure it out - working out our salvation means figuring it out the way it is already written, not writing our own book.
- The lesson reads Exodus 40:1-16 aloud: on the first day of the first month, Moses is to set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
- The furniture goes in a set order: the ark covered with the veil, the table set in order, the candlestick lit, the golden altar for incense set before the ark, and the hanging put at the door.
- Outside, the altar of burnt offering stands before the door, the laver is set between the tent and the altar with water in it, and the court is set up round about with its hanging at the gate.
- The anointing oil hallows the tabernacle and all its vessels, and Aaron and his sons are washed with water, clothed, and anointed into an everlasting priesthood; the reading closes, "thus did Moses: according to all that the Lord commanded him, so did he."
Scriptures: Exodus 40:1-16
Every Piece in Its Place, Everything Anointed
- Now God tells Moses to assemble it all: every stick, post, plank, rod, ring, and curtain exactly where it belongs - the people were to set up the tabernacle as God had ordained it.
- The anointing oil was precious because olives were pressed by hand, so a people who had worked hours and days making the materials would not tolerate a drop being wasted or handled frivolously.
- The tabernacle measured 150 feet long and 75 feet wide, yet every post, altar, and vessel still had to be anointed and sanctified to the Lord.
- What is brought in offering is turned loose and given to the Lord's work; we can get sideways when we feel our offerings and tithe are not used correctly, but the Lord would not have heard complaint from a people who brought it to the tabernacle.
- Aaron had to submit to being washed and anointed before he could minister at any sacrifice, and his sons went through the same ritual; the preparation took hours, and nothing had even been killed yet.
Written on the Heart: Every Person Must Do Their Part
- The detail was necessary because God's name was at stake: He is a jealous God, and only Moses' intercession - if you blot them out, blot me out first - stood between Israel and being snuffed out.
- God knew the heart of man: if He could write His word on their hearts and put it in their minds, it would become part of their fabric.
- Deuteronomy's charge is the pattern: teach it in the morning, midday, and night, when you go in and when you come out, when you lie down and when you get up, and talk of it as you walk in the way.
- If even one worker - gold, silver, linen, purple, badger skins - had cut a corner, God would have stopped the whole work at that point.
- So each person has a part to do, and the parts are interdependent: "I need you to do your part, because if you're not going to do your part, my family is going to suffer because of you."
- Nobody sashays into heaven on attitude; you arrive because you fought the good fight.
Scriptures: Deuteronomy (book-only, as spoken)
Every Tool Has Its Made Purpose
- Hanging a picture with a wrench, a book, or a command strip instead of a nail and hammer ruins the tool: his crescent wrench can no longer turn because he used it to pound.
- We do the same with God: we get sick by our own choices and expect Him to fix it, or pray to pass the test we never studied for.
- Going through the book of Exodus from chapter 20 through 40 shows how meticulous and detailed God was; a shaved corner or a lesser-than-best item would not have been accepted.
Moses Finished the Work, and the Glory Filled the Tabernacle
- "Let's see what happens when you do things right": Exodus 40:33 records that Moses reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, set up the hanging of the court gate, and finished the work.
- Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle, so that Moses was not able to enter.
- The reading runs on into the journey rule: when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys; but if the cloud was not taken up, they journeyed not until the day it was taken up.
- He puts the question to the listener's journal: what would it feel like to actually finish what God told you to do, and to stand before the completed work wondering if it was right, if it was enough, if He would reject it.
- Salvation cannot be negotiated with God: you did not fabricate heaven and will not dictate who goes; Jesus said He goes to prepare a place for us, and we come only by following what He told us.
Scriptures: Exodus 40:33-37
Cloud by Day and Fire by Night: God Settled Among His People
- Exodus 40:38 says the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.
- God saw their labors, inspected every piece, and knew the motive of each person; He set Himself in that place - above it, on it, and in it - His glory dwelling between the cherubim.
- Peter's revelation carries the pattern into the church: upon this rock God said He would build His church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it; understanding how man had to build helps us understand what God is doing in each of us.
- And what we have, we can give: "I don't have silver nor gold, but what I do have, I can give to someone else," because we understand the value of what God is doing in us.
Scriptures: Exodus 40:38
From the Bloody Altar to the Blood of Jesus
- All the details of the tabernacle lead into the Book of Leviticus, whose 27 chapters of laws, precepts, vows, and offerings were given so one group of people - the tribe of Levi, set apart for God - understood His way.
- It was at that point that God began to require animal sacrifice and blood, with every handling of it prescribed; the actions and activities Jesus requires of us are no less than what God required of them.
- For all its beauty, the tabernacle was a place of blood and killing at the altar - an ugly, nasty place - yet that mess is nothing compared to the mess each of us brought to Jesus, whose blood cleansed us.
Wait on the Lord: Be Found Doing His Word
- The people did not move unless God said to move: if the cloud stayed, they stayed - millions of people lived by that presence, not by a clock.
- God does not just want the Levites; He wants all of us, and the church will work together to finish the work and watch His glory day and night.
- The lesson closes in prayer - "Lord, let us be found doing your word to please you" - and the congregation answers in worship and song.
- After the song the teacher presses the waiting itself: no time is recorded for how long they stood and waited before God descended on the mercy seat; they did it, they waited, and then God came - if you will wait on the Lord, something wonderful will happen.
- The things of God do not happen by osmosis but by a determination to please Him - a truth he feels at his own prayer chair at home, now shared with his week-old grandson asleep nearby while his wife sings "Jesus loves me" over him with her Bible open.

our church is the family we are of course this whole year talking about Ecclesia the church that we're called from a place to a place so it is it is um my responsibility has been over the last several Wednesday nights to uh go to the uh story in Exodus of how God communic ated his plan what he wanted how he wanted it how he did that and how he interacted with man kind so the last couple of weeks we have looked at the power and the plan the purpose the promise of the place somebody say the place the tent the place where God would be with his people we discovered as the last couple of lessons unfold and even on on Sundays I'm alluding to a lot of this just because I'm trying we're trying this year to go to Great Lengths to put together an entire 52 weeks of parts and processes and procedures of God's plan Old Testament is that okay I feel like that so many times we pass over that and if we don't understand why in the world God established
what he did why he did it then we're going to have a struggle to explain what he's doing that okay so we're going to try our best to understand it um several of the things that God made sure that Moses understood was there there cannot be other gods you can't have other gods if you have other gods things are going to happen and God demonstrated that multiple times with the children of Israel they would rise up on one leg and decide we're going to do it this way and the Bible says specifically on several accounts and they knew not they did not they were not doing what God told them to do and therefore the struggles all the things and then a new king a new ruler a new Prophet a new voice and they go back to and we all know how that e and flow is in this particular occasion though God is working with Moses and he was giving them Moses and the people of Israel giving them specifics on how how that they were to accomplish the things that he was
telling them to do we have of course our model up here that I'll be referring to and over this whole year um the other uh pastors will be next month for an example brother Dan will pick up and he'll begin to talk about his portion and then we're going to take step by step but God made sure that man had everything needed God even gave what they were supposed to do with it and then God gave to the people the materials that they would need all of the details and all the specifics are very very written out if you will that's how God did it with Moses somebody understand tonight please that God is a god of detail okay he does not leave it up to us to figure this out do not be confused the book of Acts to work out your own salvation with fear and trem it doesn't mean you go write your own book it means you've got to figure it out the way it's already written there's not going to be 48612 Heavens there won't be two there are two
options all right y'all with me um in this session tonight we are going to look at uh God's provision and we're going to basically look at the in result when the job was done we're going to go to Exodus this is again we this is some cool writing here Exodus chapter 40 verse number one we're going to begin reading there and we'll go through verse 16 this is some really good information please make sure in your journals you make reference to this Exodus 40:1 the Lord spake unto Moses saying on the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation verse three Thou shalt put therein the Ark of the testimony that cover the ark with the veil Thou shalt bring in the table set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it Thou shalt bring in the Candlestick light to the lamps thereof Thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the Ark of the testimony put the on the hanging put excuse me the hanging of
the door to the Tabernacle verse six that th shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation is anybody bored with this reading good here we go and thou shalt set the labor between the tent of the congregation the altar shalt put water therein Thou shalt set up the court round about hang up the hanging at the court gate and thou shalt take the anointing oil anoint the Tabernacle all that is therein Thou shalt hallow it all the vessels thereof and it it shall be holy verse 10 Thou shalt anoint the altar the burnt offering and all his vessels and sanctify The Altar and it shall be an altar Most Holy Verse 11 Thou shalt anoint the labor at its foot and sanctify it Thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons under the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation and wash them with water anybody bored yet good 13 Thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments and anoint him sanctify him that he may min Minister unto me in the priest office
Thou shalt bring his sons and clothe them with coats and thou shalt anoint them as thou did anoint their father that they may Minister unto me in the priest's office for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their Generations thus did Moses according to all the Lord commanded him so did he now the reason that this is important we we last week we went into to chapter 35 of Exodus where God gave again how they were to do all the things they were to do in this sacred place this tent chapter 40 now we are soon to end this writing and we're going to go into the levitical law and how that once they had this place God was now going to give the Book of Leviticus which is what Moses called it when he wrote it but it was as unto the priest so at this point chapter 40 God says okay Moses everything you did all the construction the gold the materials the precious stones the oils the everything that you've done that I showed you and told you how to
do I need you now to assemble it put it together the details on how to do it we got to I need you to make sure that that stick goes there and that post goes there there and that plank goes there and that that rod goes there and that ring fits there and that curtain looks like that you need to make sure Moses that all these things are right so the people were to set up the Tabernacle as God had ordained it interestingly enough they made all of these wonderful holy instruments things stuff that was supposed to go in it I wonder in their mind this is just a thought for 2,000 25 in their mind did they really think it would work I mean it's a lot of work they went through what could you do with a 2x4 covered in solid gold okay all right some of y'all some of y'all already know that I'm sure you've already done it um where would you find Badgers and then kill them and skin them just asking F Linens anybody I does anybody here even
have linen I I I think we have a linen tablecloth we can't use it because it's as unto the Lord you what I'm talking about you may got that stuff in your house my Grandma had a bathroom you couldn't use the towels anybody remember that yeah okay you don't want to dry your hands on it okay sorry boy I got sry Moses calls Aaron and his sons in that begin to work and assemble this to me is so incredibly cool please understand that I'm going to use I thought about this ear I'm going to use this as an example does anybody know what this is this is popcorn oh no it's not it's not it's olive oil it's got some some fra fragrance in it it'd be like the Apothecary you know you take it and they put stuff in it so it smell good I don't know if if anybody here comes on Sundays and we we pray over over you does anybody go home smelling what that smell anybody don't please don't be mad if I dump it on my hands before I
anoint you cuz I don't know I know Pentecostalism and all we like to dab you know what I'm talking about come on yall my wife even sometimes babe you got to use it all so well I got another bottle somewhere listen to me they brought all of these pieces of furniture and all this material and all this stuff together the Bible says when you put it together Moses when you're finished take the oil that you made and I want you to rub it on that piece of furniture on that post on that whatever because we're going to sanctify it to the Lord now I got to believe brother Dakota that that God didn't say Okay Moses bring that oil that 421 people sat out there and squished to make sure it got purified and you know what I'm saying this is not go to Walmart and get what you can I 300M wasn't even thought of then to have 55 gallon drums of it I mean we're talking squish if you never researched how they made olive oil you need to do that it'll it
would it will in in of itself change your life listen to me so they take this oil and they're putting it on all the stuff you realize that the Tabernacle was 150 ft long 75 ft wide the outside curtain so how much oil do you think was required one of these post there you think I mean i y y yall think I'm being foolish but I'm going to tell you what if there's a whole group of people that have worked for hours and days and days on making this stuff do you think for one moment that they're not going to stand there and say you better not waste that do you understand so you not only have the pressure of getting it right but you got Humanity involved I'm not belaboring this point I'm trying to make a point to us we read last week in our study that the Bible says that he put it in their heart this Sunday this past Sunday willing offerings listen to me and what they figured out was if they if we bring this we are turning loose
of this and we are giving it unto the Lord's work so if they want to take that bottle and don't Ping On The Ground I don't have a problem with it why why is it important for me to mention that because in our Humanity so many times we can get sideways when we feel like that our offerings and tithe are not used correctly and we can justify our indignation and the Lord saying if I would have at all heard them belly ache and complain when they brought it to the Tabernacle I'd have snuffed it out right then you understand me there's no way in this world that Moses Aaron nor none of his sons would have said hey let's frivolously do this because we don't believe that God's going to be here they had every understanding and every right to declare you know what God is with us and we're going to do this job and now they're putting oil on the altar they're putting oil on the sticks they're putting oil on the everything the Bible we just read the Bible says they know
what about Aaron huh what about his sons how do you think they anointed them am I asking a dumb question listen to me Aaron has to come as the high priest and he has to be anointed at the labor of water washed and then oil has to be put on on him listen to me what was going on at that moment do you think for a minute then that Aaron simply said well here you can dab me right here right here he has the entire future of an entire race on his actions I've got to believe in my mind I know I got a weird one but in my mind I got to see Aaron saying I submit to this job yall okay here we all add adults and he strips down and Moses washes him and when he's done he puts on his breaches he puts on his epod puts on His Garment and Moses takes oil and he anoints him he submitted to what God's law required him to do before he could ever do anything with any sacrifice he himself had to
submit to the plan how do you think he felt oh what old Pete say the day Jesus is washing feet you ain't doing that to me fine you're none of mine oh you know get me in the bath put me in the bath why I don't want to miss one drop of it now we learned a lesson didn't we well here's another one for you Aaron says boys come here you're going through the same ritual and every one of them was cleansed prepared washed and anointed when that guys we're not talking about a five minute here now I lay me oh down to sleep oh the Lord to keep and go home we're talking hours upon hours there ain't the first thing been killed yet there ain't the first thing happened yet they are simply preparing themselves tonight in this lesson the whole thing I'm talking about is God's provision why was it so necessary for the for them to go through all these details we just read it in Exodus 40 why was it necessary couldn't God have simply just looked at him and
saidou know what great job guys everybody gets a trophy huh why because there was only one name at stake here and that was God you are not going to make a you're are not going to make a laughing stock out of me I'm a jealous God I'll wipe them off the place fa face of the Earth If they raise up against me God did it and he'll do it again they better understand who I am I am the Lord God there is none beside me nor none like me you're going to do this right or you're not going to do it at all the only reason that I haven't snuffed you out thus far is because the man Moses asked me not to as far as I'm concerned y'all are done come on they would have been foolish to think that they could somehow some way work themselves inch themselves squeak themselves back into The Graces of God no it was one man who said if you're going to blot them out get me first and God said you know what I'm not going with
you but they can live until they got it together the garments the head covering the breastplate everything man I this this blows my mind the more I study on this the more my mind just explodes because this I I've read this story I've heard it talked about my whole life probably I've taught it in Bible School part of what I did on the mission field and yet for for some reason inside of me there's a thirst and a hunger to understand why God would go through such extreme details with such extreme determination with such I mean just way out there making sure they followed it I believe and I'm convinced through my study recent days is that God knew the heart of man my presence will be rocking that mountain right there there and you'll be down here dancing around an idol God knew it if you're going to get this right I already know your heart I already know what's wrong with you I'm already sure how you're going to do this but if I can give you the explanation and I can make
sure you understand it and I can write it on your heart put it in your mind it will become part of your fabric you want to go further Deuteronomy what's it say here o Israel is what what happened though at that point it didn't stop he said you teach it in the morning midday at night when you go in when you come down when you lay down when you get up wherever you're walking in the way you talk about this why because the heart of man who can know it the lesson for tonight is basically how does somebody take all the proper pieces in its original purpose and how do we understand that if they would have simply misused one of them God would have stopped it at that point one of them if one of the gold guys or the silver guys or the the linen guys or the purple guys or the Badger skin guys or the any of that if one would have cut a corner God would have stopped at all listen look at your neighbor and said I'm depending on
you y'all got to get this tell somebody I need you to do your part that's good teaching P I need you to do your part because if you're not going to do your part my family is going to suffer because of you oh but aren't we in the grace dispensation you better believe it but every single one of us are looking for the blessings of God and you think it's just cuz who you are what you put on it's going to be those who will say Lord if you were that interested in all the things you were interested in here then God help me Lord to understand the detail of your word come on I've said it a million time nobody's going to sachche into heaven attitude and all no you're also not going to wake up wonder where you are it's going to be because you fought the good fight oh I'm trying to stay on my clock tonight here's a question there's a whole lot of times that we can misuse a particular piece any anybody here okay anybody here ever hang a
picture on the wall at home it's come on identify it's okay yeah you you hung picture of just a picture what did you have to use to hang it my wife makes me use Nails on account of that thing that pulls down it normally pulls down after I've hung it well that don't what is that thing that Sticky Thing command strip I my wife will back out of the drive call me baby the Christmas decoration fell again command strip I'm sure it works someplace we took him to Steven's dorm room in college I'm like boom okay when you hang a picture then the normal way the way your grandpa all right let's go blame it on them you would use a a nail and how would you put that nail in the wall somebody you'd use a a shoe you you grab a wrench come on you grab a book I know you some of y'all would I I do it I got a monkey wrench I I can't even use now I beat the stew out of it trying to break something off and
I can't even come on brother rob you know what I'm talking about I got a crescent wrench that's useless right now cuz I can't turn the thing because I I was trying to pound a nail in listen to me they they they sell this really cool tool called a hammer and it's made specifically for an na now I realize that that that hammer works really good for that job and you could actually say that hammer is made to put that nail in the wall but what happens though when you get in a hurry or when when when you don't you when you're too lazy to go get the tool I get in trouble for this all the time my wife say where where's the hammer I can use and I'm like it's in your toolbox she has a toolbox I made it for her guess where the hammer is not in that toolbox it's I took it out and used it for something now I don't know where it's at do I get a KNE for effort come on Dakota don't leave me yeah Okay
the reason I'm even mentioning this is because every one of y'all know what I'm talking about how many of you know God's A Healer but have you ever gotten sick on your own accord and then expected God to fix it I know I have have I'm the one that ran off the into the ditch God why you know I've used this a lot too when you're in in Middle School what's one of the biggest prayers you pray about every day oh let me pass this test that I didn't study for come on somebody you're asking God to step in where you want yeah help thank you Archie listen to me please the reason I'm telling you this is if you'll go through the book of Exodus chapter 20 through 40 you're going to discover the story of how meticulous and detailed God was if they would have cut a corner shaved off something done it with a lesser than the best item God would not have accepted it listen to me let's see what happens when you do things right Exodus 40:33 he reared up
the court round about the Tabernacle the altar set up the hanging of the Court gate so Moses finished the work Moses finished the work but what verse 34 of chapter 40 says this then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle and Moses was not able to to enter into the tent of the congregation because the cloud Abode thereon and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle when the cloud was taken up from Over the Tabernacle the children of Israel went onward in all their Journeys but if the cloud were not taken up then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up I'm not really sure if we can understand this in 2025 Apostolic Church setting but I feel like sometimes we're asking God to be in our midst when the fact remains that if God really came in our midst we might not survive it if we don't have the blood applied to us if we don't have the oil applied to us Moses the Bible says specifically finished the work
I did what you have asked me to do now here's the question all was done all was complete the prayer was I want to satisfy what God commanded me to do finished Moses puts at all the labor gets all the people involved the details of purposes I wonder put this in your Journal it's a question what would it have felt like to actually finish what God told you to do wonder what it felt like I mean we don't know the days the hours the Manpower that was required to take on such a task I mean we can we can speculate of course we can run some numbers but to have heard from God a plan detailed exact and to take the time required to do it and then to depend that God would give you the wisdom and knowledge and understanding that was needed to accomplish the task what would it feel like at the moment when you back away and it's there in front of you complete I I don't mind saying that as as as human and as often as I may or
may not follow through or may or may not finish or may or may not get everything 100% I wonder if Moses stood there that day and in his mind said is it right right was it enough did I miss something will he reject it everybody now is watching they've emptied themselves and they've brought sacrifice they brought gold silver bronze they brought material they brought all the things they have they brought oil they brought Stones they brought things they have worked tirelessly and everything at this moment now is wrapped around one particular purpose and that simply is this when the work was done they had to give it to God listen to this please the scripture is very specific if you think for one moment you can negotiate salvation with God you are mistaken you did not fabricate Heaven you will not dictate who goes or doesn't it is not your vision it is not your plan it is God's Jesus was very specific in his wording he said I go to prepare a place for you I gave you everything you needed infallible proofs to
prove that I could and where I go you could come to me but only if you follow what I told you you're not going to arm wrestle God into it you're not going to convict him into it you're not going to shame him into it the work is done they'd emptied themselves supplies and materials they meticulously work days and days and days in Exodus chapter 40 and my clock's running I Exodus chapter 40 verse 38 for the cloud of the Lord was upon the Tabernacle by day fire was on it by night listen to this verse 38 in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their Journeys my cloud by day Fire by night who could see it all the house of Israel could see it God saw their labors God saw the materials God inspected every piece God knew their motive and their motivation he knew what had done listen to me he knew those who did not do anything God had a place for them as well come on the Bible says that when they presented it to God God
set himself in that place he was above it he was on it and he was in it and anybody on the camp knew we are okay because we are children of God Fire by Night Cloud by day everybody could see listen the scripture does not say that God would simply come down and just kind of brush up against it and then go away Bible doesn't say that he would come down and he would do a jig and then turn and walk away but the Bible says that we call it in the the old days the shikim the very glory and essence of God dwelt between the cherubims this is so incredibly valuable what we are going to discover over the next 10 11 months from this point forward is each one of us pastors we're going to take an in a month and we're going to dive into each one of these parts so we better understand what they're for the reason is for this friend I believe that when God set something in motion it was right Peter you are the rock you've got
a revelation you've got an understanding and it is Peter Upon This Rock I will build my church and you know what the Gates of Hell will not Prevail against this church if we can't understand understand this that man had to build how will we ever understand what God's doing in each of us but if we can comprehend the details and the specifics and the wise and the what force when it comes to 2025 we can say beyond the shadow of a doubt you know what I don't have silver nor gold but what I do have I can give to someone else because I understand the value of what God is doing in me all of the aforementioned details of the Tabernacle everything that was to be done with that listen to me carefully comes to the Book of Leviticus I mentioned this earlier and I'm closing 27 chapters are dedicated in The Book of Leviticus to laws precepts vows offerings use of tools times Seasons things that you did things you did not do God made sure that one group of people understood his way
we know that from the tri of Levi we know that they are set apart for God you can go through all of this and you can discover that in the reading and in the writing and the in the pentat took in the first five books but let me say something here as I bring down the The Landing here if there was ever a time in our world that we need to understand now more we need to understand the things of God it is right now there is so much confusion in our world there's so many opinions there are so many thoughts there are so many splinters there are so many disgruntled people there are so many things that have happened through the eons of time and it has brought us as religion to a place that now the Common Thread simply is hey aren't we all God's children anyway and that's a misconception we are children yes and we are God's children yes but who's God what God I me there's a lot of idols and a lot of gods in our world aren't there
come on you can worship what yeah absolutely whatever you want you can bow to it you can even buy a jersey and put it on that M I'm sorry I didn't say that listen to me there are so many details that God made sure that the people understand I'm I'm standing here today in this dispensation of Grace to tell you this the actions and the activities that Jesus requires of us are no less than he required of them when it gets to the Book of Leviticus please understand this it was at that point that God began to require animal sacrifice and blood how they did it what they did did with it how they took it out how they made sure it was outside the camp how they made sure it was inside the camp how they got it splattered on how what they did with it all of those things I I want you to pleas understand me this place as beautiful and as precious and as wonderful as it would have been was one of the most disgusting places on planet Earth because
of the blood and the snot and the junk and the guts and the things that would have been present at this place of killing that altar would have been such an ugly ugly place don't think otherwise but I stand here tonight to tell you this was an ugly Place nasty messed up garbage junk foolishness but the blood of Jesus came and cleansed me every one of you in here here man that is nothing compared to the mess you brought to Jesus that that that place right there is nothing compared to what could should have happened in your life would you stand with me on a Wednesday night it our our time is is soon soon over the the beauty of this the understanding we can come to when when Moses put the Tabernacle together like God had told him when he brought all the pieces together that everyone had worked on and everyone had set here and put there and a piece over here and a piece there and all of the pieces when they came together once he was finished Moses the man Aaron
the priest the sons are standing there around him when they did it according to what God had established listen carefully please God settled on that place listen and they did not move unless God said to move if the cloud stayed they stayed listen to me we're not talking about a family of 200 we're not talking about a group of 5,000 we're talking about millions and they would sit still they didn't run on a clock they didn't run on a clock yeah well I don't want to hurt nobody's feelings they didn't have Planning Center they didn't have a check-in system for their children they didn't have a Nord to get close to the Lord huh they didn't have a baldheaded drummer sorry Seth that I said listen to me you know what you know what they had they had a hunger to be Gods God God wants us he doesn't want just the Levites he doesn't just want Dan he doesn't just want Ruben he doesn't just want Benjamin he he wants all of us and because of that we're going to work together to finish
this and when we are done we are going to stand at the tent doors that we live in and we're going to watch the glory of God and every day when we get up we'll see it every night we go to bed we'll see at night you'll hear the Flaming fire burn the day you'll see the cloud move why because God said you're my people next week of course we'll have our business session I won't get to teach anymore on this I won't get another month brother Dan you better do good next month I am thrilled to death about my next series because I get to talk about that first piece of furniture in there the altar God gave me that one about a year ago and I've been grinding on it about a year brother Rob trying to figure it out and I'm finally I'm going to get to talk about it because at that altar y'all come back pray with me would you Lord I love you tonight I stand In Awe at the the simple fact that you love me that you

don't I don't really want to beat a dead horse but I I wonder how long it took for God to descend brother Rob on that Mercy Seat while they waited there's no times in there you know in 6 hours 21 minutes or right after they took up the offering are right right after their midweek University then just says they stood and waited did it and then God came now I I will say we live in a very time conscious generation right huh anybody else got anything to do tonight before you get home see Public's closed at dat is that right so you got to get there now you're late for that food city is 11:00 so you can get the rest of your milk and bread cuz it's supposed to snow a foot tomorrow right what are guys in New Orleans doing tonight anyway I'm joking I got boy I got sidetracked with that one listen to me please real careful we'll go home if you wait on the Lord something wonderful will happen I I don't know how you're Mourning prayer goes I don't
know if you're some of us I'm sure are praying in defense just to try to get from one fence to the other some of us are praying and in a quietness and some are trying to dodge baby food I get it some are just trying to you know everybody's different but I don't mind saying my prayer chair I call it at home is my quiet spot and 90 some. 2% of the place of the time it's that but here of late there's been a little fella there with his mother and you know how that goes so brother George I've had to pray quicker and hope God hears because if time runs out then then I got to start somewhere else and that's a greater challenge come on now we're all just is real right sister you you understand this right but then I am reminded at the price that has to be paid for him this morning in in particular I sat in my chair and little guys laying there asleep and little moms laying there asleep and Richard all I could do was thank
the Lord that they're okay and then my my lovely bride gets an opportunity to hold him and I'll say if all I hear her saying and singing and doing is yes Jesus loves me and she's teaching how to hear those words and she's got her Bible op talking to him about things that he has no idea unless it's formula or milk or something I mean at a week old it's hard to have a point of reference I'm telling you this for one reason when it comes to the things of God it does not simply happen it is not by osmosis It Is by determination to please him that's what they were doing that's what we're doing Lord I want to please you so that's our prayer Lord let us be found doing your word to please you
