anybody here ever have a dream or an aspiration Aspire for something huh anybody or no you just kind of get up and Meander around life you can do it either way I think that every day we we live our life in a mixture of dreams and and realities uh we've all made plans for our life for our futures and then we strive to make those dreams those plans come to fruition but we learn at a at a very early age that

dreaming is actually a part of growth right I remember as a young young man I don't know N9 or 10 years old I can still see this in my brain it's it's getting fuzzy the older I get but I can still see it I wanted to play in the National Football League look at this I know y'all are wondering how right but for Christmas one year I got a number 12 d Dallas Cowboys Roger stalak Jersey come on now anybody know

where I'm at friend of mine got one from the Steelers but mine was better looking I just knew I knew that I could wear that shirt when I played in the yard with my friends or when I slept and sooner or later I would rise to the same level as a Mr Roger Starbuck and I would assume the quarterback position I inevitably I was born for that come on young come on we got young folk in here now know what I'm

talking about of course I I stand here today and I I've come to tell you that contrary to what you think might have happened it didn't I I I did dream about it why didn't it happen though I wanted it I asked for it but the reason it didn't happen is because I figured out that I didn't really know what I was asking for I didn't know the price that it would cost me to rise to that level the countless hours

of training and the disciplines and the practices and the practices and the disciplines and the practices and the pra come come on somebody I didn't realize and then so guess what happened when that shirt didn't fit anymore it just kind of went away and that that dream just kind of faded and I figured out very quickly that that's not for me it's not for me now as parents moms and dads I I I just come to I'm one of those I

I I know that I want my children to understand that same value of expectations and dreaming I want the very best for them right and and I try hard to make an opportunity for them and and every opportunity that I could I would do my best to try to give them something that they could grow into they could they could learn and they could they could make something of themselves and it only stands to reason that if you dream and you

work and you invest time to accomplish something what what was it that your grandparent or your mom may have said to you whatever you put your heart to do you can do that huh my mom you said my granny you say it to me and my grandpa he'd just look at me but the fact remains is that you got aspirations and you got dreams if you put your mind to it and you'll practice you can be successful now we do the

same for us anybody here want to fail not many hands you want to succeed you want to to make something what's the saying again let's say this way if at first you don't succeed TR try blame someone else that's right the F it's how humanity is it's how we are wired why because the fact is is let me ask you I'll show you watch this demonstration how many of you get the warm fuzzies you know you get the warm fuzzies in

your gut when you see something disgusting and nasty n not so much but warm feelings warm fuzzies come when when things happen that bring joy to your heart like like holding a baby and and and and that this is so funny to watch and I've done this myself is when a new baby's born and and that you know little B I've got one in my house and sometime I just go over and smell his head anybody else I don't know why

I just it don't smell like mine he just good right there that's just good right there and his mom gets all nervous at Poppy the fact is is that because we know that life is worth living we want the good and the bad to be able to balance itself out so that we can enjoy life I I ask you today I challenge you today Embrace every day of living that is not just a Feelgood message but if you get out of

bed in the morning and you have nothing but dread and fear and depression and oppression and all of that stuff your day is probably going to stink Embrace every day the of life that God gives you if you have a journal I ask you to write this down make a list of things in your life that make you blessed not right now this is for this week things that make you blessed I'm sure that we can all dwell heavily on the

nasty the negative actions and attitudes of people of ourselves but we choose life and we live it according to the joy that the moments of Life bring to us I know that that you don't live your life according to the greeting card companies huh youen what I'm talking about with the big swirlies and the the flowery letters and words you know I be thee my love this F and th and any I'm talking about yeah it it's not life and in

fact it looks different from every chair that's in this place today if you're online it looks different for you we all see things but we see them in a different way we don't all walk the same roads we don't all wear the same kinds of shoes but in the midst of the journey I talk of this often because every day you are faced with choices so why not make wiser choices Tada huh why not make choices that bring joy why not

just choose Lord I'm I'm just going to do the right thing today come on I want to help somebody with with a very simple formula for your day ready for it get up with Jesus everything else changes just let him be in your life from the very first Breath You Take and watch how life looks a bit different now is anybody here ever made a mistake don't raise your hand don't elbow your neighbor don't throw their hand up mistakes come in

our lives and it has a way of driving us into ditches and in into gutters and and the mess ups can distract us and can make us swerve and missed the mark and then all of a sudden things look very very nasty in our life but I again can I help somebody today very simply tell you this keep going aim for the prize and Let Jesus be a part of your everyday life now we are all made in the image of

God that's biblical it's Genesis it's how man is made in God's image every detail is a reflection of him life then listen to this life then begins to add or take away from the desired outcome of your reflection with God in your Journal write this one down ready what needs to be the primary goal for my life in order for me to be successful you're going to write that one after the other one you're going to do that this week as

you're doing your prayer time okay where do we all need to point our Compass where do we need to point the arrow of our life life that is leading us what makes the difference between the fabulous and the Frantic let's go to the Book of James I told you I'd bring the Bible in this today James chapter 1:17 you all know this one every good gift every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of Lights with whom

is no variableness neither shadow of turning of his own will begat he us with the word of truth that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures God has the authority to do good it comes from him and then the writer says that we as humans are the first fruits let's call it the tithe the the premisas of what he has created why because he loves us with a passion he loves us with a purpose he doesn't want

you to flounder around in life and wonder what's going on but he designed s good things to happen in your life listen stay with me this is not one of those Zig Ziggler messages today to try to make you feel better about yourself and all your messes if you'll stay with me for a little bit I want to help pull you along a little closer to the master I stand here today with the desire for all of us to know and

to see the goodness of God in our lives come on if you'll look for the negative you'll find it but look for the good you'll see Jesus look for the blessing you'll see the hand of the master some sitting here today some worshiping online with us you are at a place of great Challenge and difficulties in your life and maybe it might be that sin has overtaken your desires it may very well be that Pride wrestles you away from a full

life in Jesus Christ could it be that your past is blinding you in the future that God has for you or it might be that you just need reminded today of the goodness and the mercies of a holy God I come to tell somebody today Jesus loves you I said Jesus loves you look at Pastor today Jesus loves you don't listen to the voice of the enemy if Jesus loves you you've got what you need and that's Jesus's love notice how

the writer said it to the one who wrote to the Hebrews 111 you know this now now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of Things Not Seen for by it the elders obtained a good report through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear by faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain by which he obtained

it have if you can't believe the creation story then your life is going to be of all men most miserable why because if you know who God is it's going to be a step of Faith every step you take uh you might not understand the outcome but faith says I'm going to hold on to a living God that loves me has a passion for me cares about me has a plan for my life I don't have to be afraid nor worry

nor fret nor be stressed but he loves me and he has a plan for me come on you got to believe in a good God you got to believe in a good God the author of Hebrews reminded us that he has a plan for all of us and the main purpose that we have to embrace is that God desires his plan for every one of us every one of us but the wording here is what I bring your attention to today

the wording stands by itself it is imp possible to please him to please someone man there's your concept there's your concept that we all struggle with stay with me we struggle with it because we understand what it is to please someone by the definition it simply means to give pleasure to or to be the will or pleasure of something or someone each one of us are in the process of life we're living we're doing things yet at times we can forget

the important things we can forget the God is in details and pleasing God begins to go by the wayside and becomes minimal instead of maximal listen to me let me ask you this what are you doing every day that brings pleasure to God what is working in your life that pleases him see we live in a world world that we can become very confused we live in a conflict in our world and confusion that causes us to listen to me to

to say to ourselves if I'm not happy then something's wrong or if I don't feel the Ebie GBS there's something wrong or if I don't feel the good fuzzies in my belly something's wrong and we base the goodness of God on how we feel but that is not how it works friend the reality of it is this you were made for him but it's his good pleasure to bless you what we've got to understand is that if there's going to be

joy in your life it's not going to hear me it's not going to come from your bigger bank account it's not going to come from the biggest job it's not going to come by your status in society it's going to come humbly before him saying I want to please you God I've got to please you bring pleasure to you Joy is not based on who you are what you are or what you have but joy is based on the way that

we accept God's plans for our life you realize the the battle that Jesus fought in the Garden of Gethsemane was not with himself it was not with what was going on but the battle there was he wanted the joy and he wanted not to have to pay the price in his flesh but his wording says this nevertheless not my will but thine what he was saying to you and I in this example is for us to understand Joy comes by being

what God wants us to be for his pleasure many of us struggle and we battle in life and we we War within ourselves and with what's going on because we haven't yet accepted the fact that we were put here with a purpose to please God and we've reversed it and we want to please ourselves oh come on anybody ever heard that comfort somebody man I'm just not happy in this or I'm just not happy with that and if I can't be

happy then I don't want this and it's as if whole world is here to make you happy that's not how it works let me give you a secret to to knowing with that you're happy in life when God is number one in your life uh when he is high and lifted up and exalted above everything uh at that point you can decide in the good and in the bad and in the ugly I'm still happy and joyful in Jesus why because

it's not based on where I am it's based on where he is he doesn't come off the throne can't nobody pull him down from the throne he's lifted up and he's magnified I therefore will say I will trust in you and I will please you his way is right his way is right come on some of us need to get away from Google ah some of us need to get away from the the help books now I got nothing against that

stuff but man if you if you swallow that Hook Line and Sinker you're caught but if we'll spend some time talking to the master Lord I don't know what's happening in my life but I know that if I'm going to please you I'm going to yield to what you're doing I may not understand it I I might not really comprehend all the details and this is probably a whole lot bigger than I am but if you'll let me Lord I want

to please you uh I want to bring pleasure to you uh the battle within some of us today is the fact that we're pointing to oursel instead of worshiping the one and pointing to him I want to please God H I've got to Endeavor every single day uh that when I get out of bed in the morning it's the day that he made H I can only rejoice and be glad in it when I understand who gave it to me when

I realize that my joy is not based on what's going on here but it's based on there if I will please him then why would I worry here I want to please God I want to know his word is working in my life you know how I'll know that well I'm glad you ask because the writer I didn't give this to the back room sorry guys Galatians 5:22 the fruit of the spirit fruit of the spirit please notice it's not fruits

there's not multiples it's the one fruit of the spirit capital S for us guys that understand what that means is love joy peace longsuffering gentleness goodness Faith meekness Temperance it's those things that will show up in your life and when they show up in your life you can testify to the fact that you are pleasing to God why because when that fruit begins to demonstrate itself folk are going to look at you and go it don't make no sense they should

have been done lost their mind but they're still praying uh they're still showing up in the house of God uh they're still believing that God's got it all in control uh just ask them are you stressed no I'm blessed uh are you out of control no he's in control uh have you lost your mind yes but I gave it to him and he found it and gave it back to me what am I saying to you you better desire more than

anything to please God Hallelujah that fruit will show itself and his reward come on nobody in here says Lord I I hope I get no love all remov from me the joy please take it away nobody in here screaming out ah Let the Peace be gone see oh y'all going to hear the preacher now because when there's love joy and peace some of us are are against this longsuffering one there fruit some of us even struggle with the next one gentleness

goodness Faith meekness Temperance y'all y'all hear what galatia is hearing but notice the ending of the verse 23 against such there's no law you'll never hear Pastor say I'm sorry but you need to back off with that love thing now if it's Earthly love you my mind you a kissing me you know what I'm saying but if it's the love of God I can say there's no law there all you want ain't nobody can tell you you know what you got

a little too much peace there you need to back down there's no law says Thou shalt not have thus amount of peace y'all hearing me huh the same amen I just got there can I get it on long suffering no we want the peace and the love and the joy and and coming along suffering oh Lord all about you know can I'm just going side not let me step over here so I don't get in trouble it might be somebody else

longsuffering to you I'm just saying I'm just saying it's fruit Pastor what are you talking about today you know what I'm talking about is this if we can't please the Lord we need to relook at why we are doing what we are doing do you real listen to Pastor you realize that you do not have to please the enemy I can promise you this y'all listen I can promise you 100% he is not going to walk up to you wrap his

arm around you say you know you did a good job deceiving everybody that was good high five he's not going to do that not the enemy don't care about you he could care less about what sin you drive into he could care less about all the junk you can walk into he I don't bother him a bit he knows all about that come on somebody if you really understood where the devil was headed you'd be afraid to death to even try

to go there the bottomless the Weeping The Wailing the flame the fire the pain the suffering no quench no stop it's awful it's it's terrible it's and then to beat all ready for it it's pain it's suffering it's tears it's weeping it's wailing it's nashing of teeth it's crying it's falling it's in a pit with no bottom y'all want to hear the good part here it is it's weeping and wailing and nashing and come on there ain't nothing good about hell

ain't nobody in here want to go there but we'll spend time thinking about all the negatives of the good of God and every step we do that we're walking closer come on somebody need to understand that hell's in a building program and the door is WI guiding itself and you can make yourself that you can walk right into it but I choose to believe that my God has a plan for my life and I've come to say Lord if I can

I'm going to please you uh how when I get out of bed it's you uh when I go to bed it's you uh when I walk in the way it's you uh I'm living my life it's you uh I don't have to bring all this junk into the house of the Lord but I can get to the church house and I can encourage my brother my sister and tell them you know what God's work a miracle in your life God's blessing

you you don't deserve it neither do I but Look What the Lord Has Done and when I get outside the walls I can tell somebody this is my testimony I once was lost but now I'm found I was blind but now I see I walked in darkness and confusion but now I'm living in the light why because I want to please him that has got to be first in my life in your Journal write it three things that you can do

to align yourself with God's pleasures and once you've written those things write a plan on how to get there for yourself that too hard three things that you can do to align yourself with God's pleasure and then write a plan for your life to get there everyday steps that you take listen to me you can walk upright before God you don't have to run around confused wondering every day does he still love me wondering every day is he still passionate about

me listen now this is going to be contrary to some of you and I'm sorry if it is but your salvation's not on a Turn Style now your choices might be come on you might be good and on fire for God today and then something happened and you start swerving and then you go right back and then all of a sudden you start feeling the Heat and you huh you don't believe it be here next Sunday be here next Sunday and

watch people that are just loving the Lord why because their lives the week had been challenged they faced challenges and difficulties and now they just want to come to to the church house so they can feel briad and they can breathe in the power and presence of God and some of us has anybody ever been to ladies conference some of you went and you loved it so much you didn't want to leave because it's a glorious environment I mean Sho it's

i' I'd spend days weeks months sometimes on a thought and gathering information for a message and and then that Sunday morning of church I'd write it all out uh I don't use AI because I don't know how to spell it and then I'd send it to the media crew about 8:30 on Sunday and they'd get it and they'd start putting together the images and all but I I we made me and Brother Sam brother Dan made a commitment to them we'll

have it to you by Thursday well this time it was Friday for me cuz it was I knew they was at ladies conference anyway this morning though I I got the notes back out and I go back over them and I add and just take away and on my way here this morning the Lord was so kind he's so gracious my little Jeep coming down the back roads try to get here and Lord it is impossible to please you if I

don't have faith so I I begin to look at Faith then this is not message number 2A this is to help us understand what in the world he was talking about faith says what evidence substance what somebody yeah you got evidence but you're not sure then you got substance but you don't know how but yet you believe you believe so I feel so very strongly that the what the Lord is trying to help us to understand in order to please him

we have to exercise our faith now I know what the old preacher says the old preacher said very fittingly that there there's a thin line between faith and foolishness and I get that but there's something to be said by somebody who wants to please God and you're willing to step out on faith to do it Somebody Prayed earlier maybe it was Brother Don just a moment ago come on would you reach your neighbor would you pray for your neighbor would you

would you pray for this city and fittingly we need to do that but but I think there has to come a time when somebody has to by faith say I'm not sure how this is going to work but I'm going to use my faith because without it you can't please God Pastor what are you saying I'm saying that everybody in here ought to leave this place today so full of Faith because you want to please God let me ask you something

Have you ever not had anything and God ask you for something what did you do did you did you show him the checkbook did you open the cupboard door and show him did you did you cough and I'm sick Lord or whatever it happened to be just to remind him of how messed up you were and then you wondered why he's standing there if you will if you could see saying yeah what about it Lord I I'm challenged to do this

because I don't have a million dollars or I don't have 35 sense or whatever it is and the Lord's sitting there saying now fine you want to please me use your faith we've all got a Measure of Faith how big is yours several years ago we de I decided Lord in prayer Lord that we we're not going to sit still we're going to grow we're going to mature we're going to as a church we're going to I don't know how I

don't know we're going to we're going to do this and so 2013 we broke ground over there on iigo Gap y'all know this story if you're new I'll quickly give you the short version and we dug a big old pile of dirt and pictures I started talking to the bank the bank guy came to the church walked in my little dirty office remember my office brother drawing that desk in the corner that was pretty cool but I did have a one

of those trifold thingies I could at least separate it so come to my office Banker sitting there we need to borrow half a million dollars and he's looking at me I got Alabama hardwood on the floor that's plywood that's plywood cuz we had to tear the he sat back with his little notepad crossed his leg he said pastor tell me your dream and I said I don't know buddy all I know is this if I don't do this somebody else will

and I refuse I refuse I refuse to let the enemy have this city he said man this is crazy I said yes sir it is I'm not sure how it's going to happen but all I know is this he said well what's the average income and I told him he said on this church yeah what's the meeting age of your church man 20s something at the 26 or S whatever it was he said no way they give this much I said

I don't know yeah it's what it is now it's not a ton of money he sat back closed his notebook looked at me and he said well I'm just going to shoot it straight to you PR preacher I said yes sir please do he said I don't know I said let me tell you something I don't know either but I have faith to believe that if I'll step out God Will Make A Way he laid his notebook down I can still

see this and he put his pen in his pocket he said let me tell you something I go to XYZ Church down here around the corner and he said it's all we can do to get somebody to the house of the Lord I said I understand that he said why they coming here I said come and see I don't know what's different we got toilet paper in our bathroom just like they do I I don't know it's got to be the

difference we got I got water hey here we are y'all didn't know this we got a fountain that don't excite nobody here until you're thirsty we even got a little ladder under the kids could slide out climb on top of it push the button and waste it come on we see it every week here's my point I called him a few times he had to have numbers I called him he had to have numbers finally he comes back he says you

know what we're going to do this I said well thank you he said I don't know how it's going to happen and he said but my faith says I have faith in you anybody remember those long nights working painting laying carpet nailing trim hanging doors hey pouring concrete countertops wasn't that the Heap of fun and every time every time every time I'd walk in that building many times it's just me because of my way of doing things it'd be midnight or

so and I'm standing there saying Lord I don't know how this is going to happen and I don't even know what this looks like but I think Lord if we do this and we move this there and we do that we have this and we grow and every that God it's going that it'll come together and Lord's put people in my life that I could call and I could rely on and next thing you know I put picked up my foot

and set it down in my faith said yes and I am convinced that it pleased God I stand in that corner almost every Sunday and I stand on that little perch back there and whoever's in that sound booth I know they get upset I'll grab Josh and I'll wrap him up and I'll say Josh buddy you remember when you first came to this church he said yeah Pastor how many was here a handful I said look at the heads today it's

a down day cuz a lot of folk decided not to be here y'all are online we'll be here next week don't forget us that's Faith that's Faith that's Faith don't I do that Josh don't I said Josh I remember when you weren't worth shooting I remember this young man got out of a car with a guitar CU my faith said I believe he can do it and him look at me and say I don't know how to do that key and

then I said but you got a capo he said okay okay okay you slide the Capo up Faith said I don't know how I'm not sure how Pastor why are you saying this today I'm telling you this because in the month of March we're talking about seriously looking into the altar of the Tabernacle and that altar said I will bring my best because my faith says God you deserve it you deserve it guys we are on the precipice we are on

the Apex of another change that I don't know how we're going to get through I don't know how I don't know I know how to work the phones like you do I know how to work the knee pads like you do when I pray I know how to Google things like you do but when it comes down to it I know every one of y'all are looking at me and saying what are we doing Pastor I will tell you this by

faith I don't know how it'll happen next but I know this if I exercise my faith it will please God if I sit on my faith stand with me please if you don't have no idea what I'm talking about today and you're very new to this and this doesn't make a lot of sense I want to tell you something let me explain something repentance is the first step to pleasing God turning around from your sin and transgressions First Step baptism in

the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins will deal with your sins and transgressions because it washes them remits them and it makes you a new creature and then he will fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost and the power of God will demonstrate itself and it will evidence Itself by you speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance that is going to sustain you daily it's 1:30 I'm still early today listen to me on that

Infamous drivein today while I'm in my Jeep moving along I begin to say Lord if I repent and I'm baptized in your name and I receive the Holy Ghost what's the next step is there a higher mountain is there a higher plane is there a higher level or is that all I look for some of you would say well you know if you'll sell everything okay I've done done that Lord five times bought and sold everything that's just that was our

lot it was our faith I have no regrets I have no regrets brother rob you know what it's like to buy and sell buy and sell yeah yeah listen to me this is what I'm asking God lord is is there something else and the Lord says yeah you need to please me driving in this morning said Lord how can I please you he said well without faith it's not even possible is it okay God don't let me be foolish Hall let

me move in faith that said building we built over an IA Gap took us three years to do that the whole time growing people are coming we're struggling we got Full House parking's full I mean y'all were a lot of you were there some of you are new and don't have don't have understanding of it but by faith we just kept going we just kept going as if as if and God would move God would move and doors would open and

I'm convinced it was pleasing to him what I have noticed as well is if I closed up my faith and I shut up my bows of compassion and I didn't believe that God was actually working then I watched that I didn't please God he didn't reject me and push me away he simply said I will reward you if you will diligently seek me I am a rewarder I am a rewarder of those who will diligently seek me and so in closing

how does that work if I Seek You God if you're a rewarder does that mean my bank account's going to touch a million he didn't say that he said he's a rewarder do you realize that one of my rewards My Rewards today is a grandbaby that sleeps in church hallelujah hallelujah say what you want to but I'm convinced that little guy's going to be full of the Holy Ghost when the time comes say what you want to that's that's a reward

for me that's a reward for me you know what else is a reward is when you come to the house of the Lord and I see you walk through the doors and I know your struggles and yet you come in and you're loving God and you're serving him and I know you don't have it and the Lord said but if you'll step in faith some of you are stepping in faith today and the Lord is very pleased and the Lord is

saying I've got things for you that you cannot even imagine because he's a rewarder of those who diligently seek him today in this place some of you are hurting some of you are you're so messed up because life has just gotten so jumbled ask yourself right now this question Lord am I pleasing you you don't have to beat yourself up tell you what let's re askk that question y'all with me still it's 137 we're okay before we ask oursel that question
