Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Pentecost Every Day: A Harvest of Disciples
- His first time preaching in this place: he and Maya had visited some 17 years earlier as brand-new missionaries on deputation, when there were just two of them; now their daughters Sophia (15) and Olivia (12) are with them.
- He honors this church as a giving, sending, sacrificial body of believers with more than 90 years of faithful connection, and thanks its pastoral leadership.
- The vision he carries: "Pentecost every day" — a sustainable annual harvest of a million-plus disciples from every nation and people group, not pie in the sky but the coming reality of the United Pentecostal Church around the world.
- Big numbers are worth celebrating — 65,000 gathered on a Sunday morning in Madagascar, with 2,700 receiving the Holy Ghost over two and a half days — but so are the three who received the Holy Ghost that morning in Moscow.
- The math of ordinary faithfulness: if every United Pentecostal church around the world added two disciples a month, that would be 180,000 people born into the kingdom of God in a year, without any big meetings — just the church being the church.
- He asks prayer for his trip that week to Kiev, Ukraine, for the national conference of Ukrainian believers: curfews are still in place so there can be no night meetings, and he must fly elsewhere and drive about 16 hours to get there — but he believes the Holy Ghost will meet them there.
A Word for This Church: The Oil Has Not Stopped Flowing
- During worship the Lord gave him a snapshot — the way God usually speaks to him: not moving pictures, just a still image.
- He saw a seasoned wooden vat where olives are pressed, with the residue of oil all over it — evidence that oil had flowed in that place for a very, very long time.
- The word for this church: the oil has not stopped flowing here; it is the will of God that there be a new generation of pressing, and the vats will overflow — "I am not finished, says the Lord; I will pour out of my spirit."
- He presses the congregation to lay hold of that word in prayer now: what God is going to do is greater than anything that has been.
"Whatever He Says, Do It": The Wedding at Cana
- He reads John 2:1–11 aloud: the marriage in Cana of Galilee where the wine ran out, Mary's instruction to the servants — "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it" — the six water pots of stone filled to the brim, and the water made wine, the beginning of miracles Jesus did in Cana, when his disciples believed on him.
- His text and theme for the message: "Whatever he says, do it."
- Some traditions have elevated Mary, the mother of Jesus, to a position Scripture never gave her, and the Pentecostal tradition has de-emphasized her — but Mary got some things right, and in this instance she understood very well.
- Out of her close relationship with God manifest in the flesh, Mary understood a kingdom concept: when the word of God is spoken, it will come to pass.
Scriptures: John 2
The Word of the King Has Power
- The kingdom paradigm: the King speaks, his instructions are obeyed, the word is fulfilled, and the power of Almighty God is displayed.
- The pattern across Scripture: the glory of the Lord showed in Solomon's temple only after the sacrifices were made and the temple dedicated; the ram did not appear in the thicket until Isaac lay on the altar; Naaman had to dip seven times — not six, not eight — in the right river.
- In 2 Kings 3:16, the battle plan given to Israel was not to sharpen swords or prepare shields but an odd word from the Lord: dig ditches — and victory came.
- Ecclesiastes 8:4 declares, "Where the word of a king is, there is power"; from the outsider's view there is often no rhyme or reason to the King's word, because it cannot be measured by logic or understood from a merely human perspective.
- From Genesis 1 to Revelation, there is power in the word of Almighty God: it will not return void, but will accomplish what he sends it to do — if it is obeyed, proclaimed, and spoken in faith; and the word of God never fails and will stand forever.
- The word is enough: it is a lamp to the feet and a light to the path; it heals, brings life, exposes, delivers, cuts, builds up, and tears down — to know how to be saved, look to the word, not a creed; to know how to be healed, speak the word of the living God, not an affirmation.
Scriptures: 2 Kings 3:16; Ecclesiastes 8:4; Genesis 1
Not a Season of Scarce Word
- There are real times of scarce word: in Samuel's day there was no open vision, and there are 400 years of so-called silence between the end of Malachi and Matthew 1 — such moments are real both on the large scale and in individual lives.
- But the body of Christ is not living in a season of limited word: the word is more available and flowing in greater volume than it ever has been, and since the restoration of the Pentecostal experience, multiplied millions are reading, speaking, understanding, and declaring it.
- There are individual desert times, but the body is not in a desert; God is speaking, and he can speak to you today — the Holy Ghost can whisper, "This is the way, walk ye in it," beyond anything the preacher says.
- God also speaks in dreams and visions: he asks prayer for Iran, where 45,000 people were killed by their own government in 10 days, yet in that nation of 90 million an estimated one to two million underground believers have come to faith in Jesus — some 90 percent of them through a dream, a vision, or a miracle in his name.
Scriptures: Matthew 1
Doers of the Word, Not Hearers Only
- His uncomfortable declaration: the word alone is not enough — repeated exposure to the word, and even to ongoing revelation, is not what activates its power in a life.
- It is the applied word that revolutionizes lives: not just preaching about baptism, but being baptized in the only saving name; not just preaching about holiness, but living a life of consecration every day; not just preaching about healing, but laying hands on the sick and praying the prayer of faith over them.
- James 1:22 commands, "Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only" — hearing and not doing leads to self-deception.
- A person can hear the word again and again, quote it, and reproduce it, and be deceived into thinking it has changed their life; it has not, until they step out and obey what the word of God says.
Scriptures: James 1
Obedience, Not Faithfulness, Is the Measure
- Faithfulness is not the measure: there are faithful Muslims, faithful Buddhists, faithful Zoroastrians — sincere people who show up week after week and practice their faith — but there is one bar, and it is the bar of obedience.
- Do not tell me how many Sundays you attend; tell me how you live on Monday morning. Do not tell me how many Bible studies you have heard; tell me how many Bible studies you have given.
- Where revelation is consistently defied, the word begins to fall on deaf ears and closed hearts: people become calloused and content, and unchanged.
- The plan of God existed before time began, but salvation was not accomplished until the Word became flesh and dwelt among us; redemptive stories sit on pause because the word has not yet been made flesh in those situations.
- Even the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 — "I will heal their land; I will forgive their sin" — is predicated on an "if": God gave both a promise and a command to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 7:14
Sent Without a Plan: Oman, and the Church Planter God Sent
- When this church sent them out, they landed in a country they had never been to: Maya was six months pregnant with Sophia, the heat was about 50 degrees Celsius — like 127 — with 80 to 90 percent humidity, they had never met anyone from that nation, and they had no contacts, no believers waiting, and no church-planting experience.
- By his own admission, speaking as the general director of global missions, he was completely clueless — but God had called; Sophia was born there three months later, and still he did not know how to start a church.
- About nine or ten months in, Maya received a call from a Filipino lady named Jane, who had been told they were Canadians who do Bible studies — churches being illegal there — and who said she felt God wanted them to get together.
- Asked her gifting, Jane answered, "I start churches" — nine of them, and the last one, in Dubai, had about 500 people the Friday she left it; God, knowing two clueless people, sent someone who was not clueless.
- When the Lord told him to tell Jane upfront what they believe and where their doctrine differs, he obeyed — and Jane smiled and said, "You're oneness, aren't you?"
- Jane's backstory: she comes from a family solid in another denomination, but one of the seven siblings is an apostolic oneness preacher in an underground church in the Middle East, whose family the rest mock and no longer invite to family events because of the message he preaches; Jane concluded, "I have been wrong and I need to repent," and asked to be taught what they believe.
- Jane began to bring dozens of people, who began to be baptized in Jesus' name; some came asking if they could begin giving tithes; and about six months later, Jane and her husband were baptized in Jesus' name.
- The lesson he draws: you do not have to have it figured out — when God speaks, simply step out with imperfect knowledge and understanding, and God will meet you in ways you could never imagine.
Take It to the Master of the Feast
- God very rarely gives a plan of 17 bullet points, timed out step by step; like Mary, he simply says: whatever he tells you to do, do it, and the need will be met.
- The servants started with the wrong stuff: they needed wine but filled water pots — vessels used for washing — with water; and the scariest part came after that, when the word said to take it to the master of the feast.
- To people facing impossible situations: take the next step in faith, and God will then show you the next step; the pathway he leads you on will take you down a road like you could never imagine.
- He defies the callousness of Pentecostals who have heard miracles preached their entire lives and concluded it cannot happen: God can do it in St. Louis, in your family, in your area, in your home — there is an open door for the obedient that the faithful might never find.
- The invitation: step out with hands uplifted and commit to walk in obedience — "I will not be a hearer only; I will be a doer of the word" — without delay, no matter the sacrifice, the cost, or how it looks to those who may not understand.
- The closing word over the congregation: some heard a loud voice and some only a slight whisper, but do not minimize the whisper — whether it was the shout or the whisper, it will come to pass; those who follow and obey will be fulfilled, and God will be glorified.

Hallelujah. What a wonderful move of the Holy Ghost is here in this place today. What a tremendous honor to get to be with all of you. And uh this is my first time uh to get to preach in this particular place. Uh we were here about 17 years ago. And uh you had I I don't even know who was here that night, but you were kind enough to allow brand new missionaries to show up. And I think you fed us too, which is that's always a plus when you're on deputation. Uh but we were uh so honored to get to be with you uh that those many years ago. There were just two of us then. We have doubled. Praise the Lord. Amen. So glad to have Sophia and Olivia. Sophia's 15, Olivia's 12. And Maya and I don't ask. Praise God. We are. You know, somebody mentioned something about 29. You know, I'm going to take my text. Something about liars. I'm sorry. Sorry.
I'm just teasing. I'm just teasing. It's just a joke. It is a great joy to be with each and every one of you in the presence of the Lord today. I thank God for a legacy of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church that is a giving, sending sacrificial body of believers. I honor you for the last 90 plus years of faithful connection with the body of Christ and uh pastor and sister Dong and their beautiful family. We thank God for you and your leadership. We're thankful to be connected. Thank you, Bishop and Sister Willilifford. We love and appreciate you all very very much. Great to be with the Sladens. Uh it is a rare time when the the five of us six I I can count when the six of us are all together in one place. I leaned over to brother Dong.
Usually the only reason brother Sllayton and I are in the same church service is because there's been an international incident somewhere. Thank God there has been no international incident here today. We are just thankful to be together in God's house together with all of you. I know you're still standing. I haven't forgot Pentecost every day. A sustainable annual harvest of a million plus disciples from every nation and people group. It's not just pie in the sky. It's not just somewhere someday. It's going to be the reality of the United Pentecostal Church around the world. We're partnering together. Let me tell you what Pentecost every day looks like. And I I know we think big numbers and and thank God for big numbers and big national meetings and and I was in Madagascar in the end of August. 65,000 on a Sunday morning.
2700 got the Holy Ghost over two and a half days. Uh, praise God for big meetings. But in Moscow this morning, three got the Holy Ghost. I I I'll shout over three in Moscow anytime. Hallelujah. But if every United Pentecostal Church around the world had two disciples a month over the course of a year, that is 1,80,000 people born into the kingdom of God. That's without any big meetings. That's just the church being the church. I believe God can add to APC, two new disciples. I think he can do way, way more than that, but I believe that's the starting point. And so I'm so grateful for the way that your leadership and what an amazing setup this is. Thank you for everybody that cooked this morning. Um you were up early or up late, one or the other and maybe both, but so thankful for everybody.
What a great day to be a part of the kingdom of God. Uh I would ask for your prayer. Uh Tuesday around noon time, I'll fly out of St. Louis headed toward Kiev, Ukraine. Uh the Ukrainian believers will be gathering this week. uh Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for their national conference. Uh curfews are still in place, so we can't have meetings at night. There's all kinds of stuff going on. Uh we have can't fly into Kiev, so I'm flying somewhere else and driving about 16 hours to get there. But I believe the Holy Ghost is going to meet us in Kiev, Ukraine. And I I covet your prayers for for that opportunity. And uh great to be with the smokes. I love you all so much.
We love and appreciate them and we have we have loved them and given them a little bit of a hard time the last few months because just we love sister Andrea so much and it's pretty amazing 30 years in global missions at headquarters and now on the field. Uh God writes amazing stories and and I'm so we just have the greatest level of respect for uh the smokes and thankful for them. I um I debated whether to share this at the beginning or at the end, but I feel very I feel like I need to share it now. As we were worshiping, and I don't know how open you are to what I'm about to do, so we'll find out. Um I was worshiping and and I felt the presence of the Lord come in and I the Lord speaks to me. I wish they were like pictures that moved and had action. Usually they're just snapshots.
And the Lord gave me a snapshot of what I believe is this church. It was a It was a very seasoned vat where olives are pressed, wooden, almost like half a barrel where you put in the olives and they're pressed. And there's and it was there there was oil everywhere. There was a residue of oil all over that place. You could tell that oil had flowed for a very, very long time. But I felt the Lord speak to me and say that the oil has not stopped flowing at APC. And it is the will of God that there be a new generation of pressing that the vats will overflow, says the Lord. I am not finished, says the Lord. I will pour out of my spirit and the vats will still yet overflow. I believe that for you. I believe God is if you believe God's not done, why don't you just call on his name? Jesus, I love you and I praise you. Hallelujah.
I think we need to just grab on to that right now. I think we just need to push in just a little bit. Jesus, we believe what you're going to do, God. It's greater than anything that has been. It will still happen. We believe it together. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I have a a fairly lengthy reading. It's 11 verses, so please stick with me. I'll stay standing longer than you do. I promise. John chapter 2 verses 1 to 11 glorios. That was pretty good. Let's try one. I don't I don't often get responses from this one. Nobody. Okay. Okay, I got one over here. All right, man. I'm not batting very good today. I got Spanish. I I started with Spanish. One or two. All right. Well, I tried I haven't tried all my languages, but I think I I'll I'll quit for now. I uh I didn't learn enough swuahili to do what brother uh what brother smoke did.
Our we lived in an area where we had about 200,000 Tanzanians in the city where we live but I didn't learn enough swahil at least not spiritual swuahili hallelujah we can talk about that later. John 2:es 1 to 11. The third day there was a marriage in Canaa of Galilee and the mother of Jesus was there. Both Jesus was called and his disciples to the marriage and they wanted wine. When they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus, everybody say the mother of Jesus. She said to the to them uh they have no wine. She said said to him they have no wine. Jesus said to her woman, what have I to do with I will assume that that was a respectful term. My hour is not yet come. I might have gotten hit if I had called my mother a woman. His mother saith unto his ser unto the servants who whatsoever he says unto you, do it.
Everybody say, "Whatever he says, do it." There were set there six water pots of stone after the man of the purifying of the Jews. Two or three firings a piece they contained. Jesus said to them, "Fill the water pots with water." They filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, "Draw out now and bear to the governor of the feast, they bear it." When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, he didn't know where it was from, but the servants certainly knew. The governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and he said to him, "Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine." When men have well- drunk than that which is worse, but thou has kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Canaa of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory. and his disciples believed on him.
I want to preach to you for just a little while this morning into it's 11:57, so I'll go into the afternoon just a little bit. Don't get nervous. I want to preach to you about whatever he says, do it. Whatever he says, do it. Let's pray together one more time. Father, we thank you for your forever settled word. I thank you that you are present in this place. You are with us. You are for us. You are doing things among us. And I pray the power of the Holy Ghost would be at work in what we are about to do right now. I pray God that your spirit would lead, guide, direct. I pray Lord that the Holy Ghost would be poured out on this place today. God that you would confirm your word with signs following. I pray God that I would have boldness in the Holy Ghost and accuracy to preach whatever you would have me to say. God, I thank you for it.
I praise you for it. And I give you glory. And everyone said, "Amen." Amen. God bless you as you're seated. Whatever he says, do it. I am aware that there are elements and sections of Christianity that have elevated Mary, the mother of Jesus, to a position that scripture never gave her. And if you are a visitor here today and you happen to be one of those of that opinion that Mary is something more than just a human or something more than just a a first century girl, then we we can talk theology later on. But I will just describe the situation historically. Whereas some groups in Christianity have elevated her to the point of almost worship if not worship.
I would point out that much of traditional Protestant tradition of which you can argue with this but Pentecostalism by extension we have deemphasized the role of Mary and the identity of the mother of God manifest in the flesh. And some of you are nervous by even me referencing this at this particular point. I have been to enough Pentecostal churches that I know some of you are on edge by me talking about Mary the mother of Jesus in this particular way. I felt it. Don't worry, I'm Orthodox Pentecostal. But without making any shifts in theology and without making some innovation beyond what the word of God says, I will say this definitively. Mary got some things right. It's okay. You're allowed to say amen. Yeah. Your your your Pentecostal card is not in question if you say amen to that.
Mama understood some things because mama always does. She understood some things. In this one instance where she understood very very well is in John chapter 2. I won't linger over or or talk too much about her importance. But Mary had a front row seat to the amazing unfolding glory of God as it showed through the face of Jesus Christ on earth. She had perhaps the most profound relationship that any person would have with God in flesh, the son of God, Jesus Christ. And I believe out of that closeness and out of that proximity, out of that close relationship and familiarity and knowledge, Mary was uniquely placed to speak to situations, observe some things, and understand the very power of God. Mary understood a kingdom concept. Mary understood that when the word of God is spoken, it will come to pass.
Mary understood that when the angel of the Lord lifts his voice and says to you, "Such and such is going to happen," it's absolutely going to happen. There is a divine order. There is a kingdom paradigm. The king speaks, his instructions are obeyed, the word is fulfilled, and the power of almighty God is displayed. The glory of the Lord showed in Solomon's temple. Only after the sacrifices were made and after the temple was dedicated, the ram did not appear in the bushes until a Isaac was laid prone. The fire was ready and Abraham was right on the brink of the unthinkable. Non had to dip seven times, not six, not eight, in the right river. He had to do it right. In an off-the-wall example, 2 Kings 3:16, the battle plan for Israel is not to sharpen your swords. It was not to prepare your shields, but the word of the Lord was dig ditches.
You ever got an odd word from God? Dig ditches, Lord. They they they've got swords. Dig ditches. That was the word of the Lord. And victory came. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:4, where the word of a king is, there is power. And sometimes from the view of the outsider, there is no rhyme or reason to the word of the king because it cannot be measured by logic and it cannot be understood by the perspective of mere people. Thank God for his word. The kingdom paradigm remains. When God speaks, things happen. From Genesis 1 and1 until Revelation, we find that there is power in the word of almighty God. There's a reason. There's a reason why miracles happen when you preach the word of God in Tanzania, brother smoke.
That's because the word will not return void, but it will accomplish that to which he has sent it if it is obeyed, if it is proclaimed, and if it is spoken in faith. The word of our God never fails. The word will stand forever. Thank God for his word. Thank God for the written word that I read with my eyes. Thank God for the preached word that I hear with my ears. Thank God for the spoken word that penetrates my soul. The word is enriching. THE WORD IS ENLIGHTENING. THE WORD IS ENOUGH to guide you. Whatever darkness YOU'RE IN TODAY, THE WORD IS A lamp unto my feet and a light unto. You want to know HOW TO BE SAVED, YOU DON'T NEED TO LOOK AT A CREED, you need to look at the word. YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO BE HEALED, YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEAK SOME AFFIRMATION.
YOU NEED TO SPEAK THE WORD OF A LIVING GOD WHO is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or even think. The word heals. The word brings life. The word is powerful. The word exposes. The word delivers. The word cuts. The word builds up. And the word will tear down. The word is amazing. There are times of scarce word. Bible talks about Samuel says there was no open vision in those days where God is seemingly silent. There are 400 years of so-called silence between Malachi the end and Matthew chapter 1. Those moments are real both on the macro scale and the micro scale. Those moments of scarce word are real. But can I just tell you we are not living in a season of limited word. I'm sorry if you're going through a dry spell. I'm so sorry. I believe God can meet you. But the body is not in a dry spell right now.
The word is more available. It is flowing in greater dimensions IN VOLUME AND VOLUME IN WAYS that it never has before the word. We are not in a depressed time of the word. Since the restoration of the Pentecostal experience, multiplied millions are reading, speaking, understanding, and declaring the word. There are individual desert times. Yes, but the body is not in a desert. The body is not in a desert. The word is flowing. It's moving. And God is speaking. And I believe he can speak to you today. If you're in a place where you don't feel and you don't understand, God still speaks. There is a word for you in this place today. If you need to hear from God, I can preach something, BUT THE HOLY Ghost can speak to you things that are beyond what I say. The power of I feel the word at work in this place right now.
IT MIGHT NOT be anything I say. But because the spirit of God is at work in this room, wherever he's at, he can whisper to you, "This is the way. Walk ye in it." The word is at work in this place today. God speaks in dreams and visions. I would ask you to pray for the nation of Iran right now. 45,000 people killed by their own government in 10 days. But among that place, it is estimated that if that nation of 90 million Muslims, if all of the underground believers were to come out in this moment, there are millions, at least one or two million of that population who are who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. You know how they became that 90% of them had a dream or a vision or a miracle happen in the name of Jesus. We are living in a time where it's happening. The word is going forth. The word is flowing. The word can still heal.
The word can still deliver. Even while I preach this, YOU CAN BE HEALED WHERE YOU SIT. EVEN WHILE I PREACH THIS, DIRECTION CAN FLOW TO WHERE YOU'RE AT in this PARTICULAR SEASON of life. Oh, when you preach the word, FAITH RISES. WHEN YOU PREACH THE WORD, JOY BEGINS TO ROLL up in the souls and the hearts of God's people. Why don't you lift your hands to the Lord right now? God, we thank you for your forever settled word. Oh, praise the name of the Lord. OH, IT'S FLOWING IN THIS PLACE TODAY. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU DON'T like me. That's all right. You can connect with the word that is in this place right now. Hallelujah. But I have a declaration to make to you. I hope you'll still love me after I make this declaration. Some of you don't love me now, so that's okay. You don't know me. That's all right. Yesterday was Valentine's.
I hope there's enough love still flowing over onto Sunday the 15th. It's difficult to speak this truth and it's uncomfortable to declare it. It's hard to hear. But if you were uncomfortable with me talking about Mary, you'll definitely be uncomfortable with what I'm about to say. The word alone is not enough. Hold your applause. The word alone is not enough. You say, "Well, Adam, you can call me Adam. You just screamed and hollered for the last 10 minutes about how amazing the word is." You know, I'm I'm over here talking about it heals. It it does all these amazing things and every bit of what I said is absolutely true. But here's something. Repeated exposure to the word is not what activates power in my life. Repeated exposure to the word and repeated exposure to ongoing revelation is not what activates it in my life.
But it is when I take the word of God and it goes in my ear and I begin to process it and then I begin to put it into action. It's when I apply the word of God that is what revolutionizes lives. It is the applied word of God. It's not just preaching about baptism. It's getting baptized in the only saving name. It's not preaching about holiness. It's living a life every day of consecration unto God. It's not just preaching about healing. It's laying hands on the sick and praying the prayer of faith over them. That activation and application of the word transforms the seed into a tree and it becomes a life producing organism that changes the world. You can hear the word all you want. But until YOU DO WHAT IT SAYS, nothing will change. James 1 and22, you've heard this before. I invite you to read it again.
But be ye doers OF THE WORD AND NOT HEARERS ONLY. It's good preaching. James, not me. James, be ye doers of the word and not hearers only. That last two words in English is it's one of the most disturbing two words in the English Bible because this is James implication. There's power in the name of Jesus to wash away sins. I believe it but if I don't act on it then then cleansing doesn't place take place. Hearing and not doing leads to selfdeception. It's a very uncomfortable truth, Brother Willilifford. And and here we go. Faithfulness. God help me. I'm preaching to the American church. I love you. I am from you. I am produced by you. I I am I'm with you. But faithfulness is not the measure. There are faithful Muslims in the world. There are faithful Buddhists in the world. There are FAITHFUL ZORASTRIANS IN the world.
THERE ARE SHALL I go on? There are sincere, FAITHFUL PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP week after week and day after day who pray the prayers and who do things the right way according to their particular brand of faith. FAITHFULNESS alone is insufficient. There is but one measure. THERE IS BUT ONE BAR and that is not the bar of faithfulness. It's the bar of obedience. Don't tell ME HOW MANY SUNDAYS YOU ATTEND. TELL ME HOW YOU LIVE ON MONDAY MORNING. DON'T DON'T TELL ME HOW MANY HOW MANY BIBLE STUDIES YOU'VE HEARD. TELL ME HOW MANY BIBLE STUDIES YOU'VE GIVEN. NOW, I I lost some OF YOU THERE, BUT I'M WELL WITHIN THE word because there is a phenomenon that takes place.
There is a deceiving phenomenon that if I keep coming to hear the word and I hear it again and again but I don't actually do anything with it, I WILL BECOME SELFDECEIVED INTO thinking because I can QUOTE IT AND BECAUSE I CAN REPRODUCE IT THAT SOMEHOW THAT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. IT HAS NOT until you step out WITH THE SEED OF FAITH AND YOU OBEY WHAT THE WORD OF GOD. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR REVELATION, I'VE COME TO TELL YOU THERE IS POWER IN THIS BOOK IF YOU WILL LIVE IT EVERY DAY. AND whatever it says, do it. Whatever it says, do it. Whatever it says, do it. We come week after week hearing, "Go ye into all the world." We come week after week, have faith and believe. But if you deny the impulse of the spirit long enough, you the word will BEGIN TO FLOW ON DEAF EARS and hearts that are not able to receive.
Word will fall on closed ears and overly content hearts will BE UNCHANGED. WHERE REVELATION is consistently defied. We have a mandate from heaven to reach the world. And we have the power in this room to do it. Brother Smoke, the power is here. It's in the Tanzanian church to reach Tanzania. It's in APC to REACH THIS AREA. BUT I'VE COME TO TELL YOU, IT WILL NOT COME BY GATHERING ON A Sunday and hearing a sermon. KNOW IT WILL COME WHEN WE TAKE the word and WE PUT IT INTO PRACTICE ON MONDAY MORNING AND WE BEGIN TO LIVE THE WAY HE'S CALLED US to live sometime the promise has to put on shoe leather at some point after confirmation and motivation I would point out to you that although the plan of God existed from before the time time began salv Salvation wasn't accomplished till the word became flesh and dwelt among us.
And we beheld his glory, the glory is of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth. Lives were not changed. Reality wasn't altered until the word became flesh. I wonder, I just wonder, brother Dong, what redemptive stories are on pause because the word has not yet been made flesh in those situations. I wonder if the pause button might be might be undone. If if I would simply take what I know to be true from this forever settled book and I would begin to take it at face value and go into those situations. 2 Chronicles 7:14, he says, "I'll heal their land. I will forgive their sin." But it's predicated on if. It's predicated on if. I'm not here to intimidate you. I'm not here to indict you. It's simply an invitation that God still speaks. God still speaks. APC.
And if you'll have enough faith to hear whatever he says and do it, I declare TO YOU THAT THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN ARE OPEN. THE POWER OF GOD IS AVAILABLE. BUT IT HAPPENS TO people who believe. God gave a promise and a command. And he said, "Go into all the world, preach the gospel." We landed in 20 I don't have anybody else's stories to tell, so forgive me for telling my own story. We landed after you all agreed to support us. You decided to send us, thank you, brother Willer, to a country we had never been to. Maya was six months pregnant with Sophia. And uh we landed, it was 170 million degrees. No, it was like 50 degrees Celsius, which is like 127. People say, "Well, it's a dry heat." No, it's not a dry heat. We would have typically 80 to 90% humidity in Omani summers. We landed in a place we didn't we had never met an Omani.
We had never met anybody from that nation. We had no church planting experience. We had no contact numbers. We had no believers there in the country waiting to meet us. It was absolute bananas. It was crazy. Can I just Can I Can Can the general director of global missions be honest? I was clueless. Maya, is that is that pretty accurate? You're allowed to say I was clueless. We were both clueless. We were completely clueless. But yet God had called. And so I walked clueless with Maya, who was also less clueless than me. She was always smarter than I was. But we landed there and Sophia was born three months later, which was wonderful. Changed my life forever. Incredible. But I still didn't know how to start a church. I still didn't know what to do. I still didn't know how to operate or do anything like that. But God, but God.
It was late one night, and I don't have enough time to tell both stories, so I'm going to pick one. It was late one night. We had been there probably about nine months or 10 months, and Maya got a phone call, and uh the phone call was this. It was a a Philip Filipino lady on the other side of the line. She said, "Hello, how are you? My name is Jane and uh I was told that you are a Canadian who does Bible studies. So it's illegal to have a church. So we are Canadians that sometimes do Bible studies.
And so uh Maya said, "Yes, I would love to connect." Jane said, "Well, I just moved here from another country and and I've got a job and I really feel like God I met someone who gave me your number and and I really feel like we should get to Well, we get together and anybody who's ever pastored or under start tried to start something will understand this. you know, we we're meeting with her and and I said, "Well, Sister Jane, what what is your what is your gifting? Like, what are you good at?" And she said, "I start churches." Truth. I was a little skeptical. And so I asked, I said, "Well, well, how many churches have you started? That seems like a fair question." She said, "Nine." I said, "Really? How are they doing?" SHE SAID, "WELL, THE LAST one in Dubai, they had I left last Friday. They had about 500 people.
And suddenly I had faith, Brother Willilifford. Suddenly I I'm listening to her talk and I'm man this is praise God. And and she just begins to well we pray together and God I just it was the Holy Ghost brother. God knew us two clueless people. So he sent someone who was not clueless. So Jane leaves. We prayed and I'll tell you this. The Lord spoke to me and he said, "Adam, you need to tell her what you believe and what your doctrinal differences are upfront." W I'm sorry. I'm being a little transparent here today. I'm like, "Okay, I'll do it, Lord. Whatever. I'm clueless. So, whatever you tell me to do, I'm going to do." So, I called Jane back. Sister Jane, could you come back? And and so she had been to Bible school at a certain denomination and she she was educated. And so I I I had my Bible out.
I was in that front room, had my Bible out and and uh and and I'm there and I says, "Well, Sister Jane, after we talked, there's just some things I want to share with you from the word of God about what we believe." She got a big smile on her face. She looked at me and I was not prepared for what was about to unfold. She said, "Um, you're oneness, aren't you?" I said, "Yes, as a matter of fact, we are we are oneness." I said, "Well," and I was not prepared for this. Her smile went away and her head went down just a little bit. And she looked at me and she said, "Uh, I think it's time for me to repent." Time out. I need backstory. She began to unfold the story.
She said, "I come from a family who is solid this denomination, but there is one of us out of seven who is an apostolic oneness preacher in an underground church in the Middle East whose kids, his daughters don't cut their hair, they wear dresses. We make fun of them because of what they dress like and what they teach. We don't invite them to family events anymore, because of the message that they preach and because of what they stand for. She says, "The Lord brought me here and the first day I'm in this country, he connects me with you. I have been wrong and I need to repent." She said, "I don't know or understand what you believe, but God brought me to you, and I, if you'll allow me, I still don't understand your doctrine, but God sent me to you." Can I tell you what unfolded? She began to bring dozens of people.
She began to do what Maya and I could not do. She began to bring dozens of people and they begin to get baptized in Jesus' name. She hadn't been baptized in Jesus' name. And she be they came to me just a few weeks later. They very timid and very shy. She said, "Pastor, um, some of them would like to begin giving tithes. Would that be okay?" Let me think. Yes, that would be great. About 6 months later, on a Friday afternoon after service, Jane came to me with tears in her eyes. She said, "I need to be baptized in Jesus' name." And we baptized her and her husband in Jesus' name. I say all that to say this. You don't have to have it figured out. You don't have to have a plan with every every tea crossed and every eye. I'm preaching TO SOMEBODY RIGHT NOW. WHEN GOD SPEAKS, IF YOU WILL SIMPLY STEP OUT in the dimension, whatever he says, do it.
Whatever he says, do. I'm telling you, THERE ARE REVIVALS IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA. THERE ARE REVIVALS IN YOUR FAMILY THAT IF YOU WILL STEP OUT WITH IMPERFECT KNOWLEDGE, imperfect understanding, God will meet YOU IN WAYS THAT YOU COULD NEVER IMAGINE. HE WILL POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT. OH, stand with me right now. Oh Jesus. Hallelujah. The enemy tries to tell you that you've got to have a plan that is 17 bullet points with everything timed out and everything done. And I recognize there are personalities that love that. But God very rarely gives you bullet points and says this, this, this, and this. You know what God does? God comes in the form of a mama who's it's not my time woman. She says whatever he tells you, if you'll do it, the need will be met. They didn't go get wine jugs. They got water pots. They started with the wrong stuff.
I want to almost ask who here believes they're the wrong stuff. I've felt that way sometimes. They started with the wrong stuff. They filled the wrong vessels with the wrong liquid. They needed wine. They use water pots. They needed wine and they filled these where people wash their feet. They they filled it with water. And then the scariest part of all, you think it's scary to do that. That all takes place before the main event. And then the word of the Lord says, "Take it to the master of the feast." I am speaking to people who are facing impossible situations in this room.
and you have heard what I've just said and you've thought, "How in the world can I do what I feel like the Lord has actually told me to do, I tell you in the Holy Ghost that if you will take the next step in faith, God will then show you what the next step is and the pathway he will lead you on will take you down a road like you could never imagine." I speak to hard hearts in this room right now. I SPEAK TO PENTECOSTALS WHO HAVE HEARD miracles preached your entire life AND YOU HAVE BECOME CALLOUSED TO SAY THAT IT CANNOT HAPPEN. I DEFY THAT ATTITUDE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. I'm sorry. I DEFY THE CALLOUSNESS OF PENTECOST THAT SAYS, "WELL, I HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE. I HEARD THAT PREACHED LONG TIME AGO AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN." BUT WHAT IF HIS WORD IS ACTUALLY TRUE? WHAT IF GOD ACTUALLY LOVES YOU? WHAT IF MIRACLE?
God wants to break through in THIS ROOM RIGHT NOW. IT'S NOT JUST CHURCH AS USUAL. IT'S THE LOVE OF GOD REACHING FOR A PEOPLE. I know you've seen it all. I know you've heard it all. But if you'll one more time, there is an open door for the obedient. There is an open door to the obedient that the faithful might never find. The obedient will find it, but the faithful might miss it. I invite you with humility in my spirit. And I know I just got really excited because I felt the Holy Ghost. I don't apologize for what I just did, but it's almost like I can see it over this congregation. There are people who have been disappointed so many times when things didn't happen. And you've heard it so many times that you kind of just tune it out and you think, "Well, I believe God can do that somewhere else. He can do it in Tanzania.
He can do it somewhere else." I tell you in the Holy Ghost, he can do it in St. Louis. He can do it in your family. He can do it in your area. He can do it in your home. I wonder if you wouldn't lift your hands to heaven right now if you believe God can do more than you think you've ever seen. Oh, SOMETHING NEEDS TO SWEEP OVER THIS CONGREGATION RIGHT NOW. If you need a miracle in your life right now, if you need a miracle in your life and you're not even sure you've got the faith to believe for it, I invite you to step out of the AISLE AND TO COME up with hands uplifted and simply say, "God, I want to walk in obedience. God, I want to walk in obedience to your word. I want to live in obedience to you, oh God. I wonder if you wouldn't just tell him, "God, I need you to help me. I need you to speak to me. God, I need you to speak to me.
Oh, why don't you let the spirit of the Lord sweep over your heart right now? Let the oil OF GOD'S POWER SWEEP OVER your spirit right now. Oh, let a freshness let a freshness of God's spirit speak to you. And whatever he says, do it. Whatever he says, do it. Oh, that's it. Somebody lift your voice. Lift your hands. Let faith rise in your spirit. One more time. Let faith rise inside of you. Oh, let the fire of the Holy Ghost. Let it sweep over your spirit one more time. Oh Jesus, we believe your word. We believe your word, oh God. We believe your word. Oh yes Jesus. Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Here I am. Lord, use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Here I am. Send me. Here I am. Lord, use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me.
Here I am. Send me here. I am Lord. Use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Here I am. Send me. Here I am. Lord, use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my knee. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Here I am. Send me here. I am Lord. Use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. for yours. Send me. Here I am. Send me. Here I am. Lord you see send me take my head take my king use them for your glory. Lord I'm yours. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me to the broken.
Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the burning. Let them see. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the heart. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the heart. Let them see you. Send me to the broken. Send me to the lost and lonely. Send me to the hurting. Let them see you. Send me. Here I am. Send me. Here I am. Lord, use me. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Take my hands. Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Here I am. Send me here. I am Lord. Use me. Send me. Take my hands.
Take my feet. Use them for your glory. Lord, I'm yours. Send me. Would you lift your hands to heaven right now? And I wonder if you as an individual, but us as a church could commit to whatever the Lord has spoken for us to do today. Whether it was today or last week or last year or 10 years ago, there's likely something that the Lord has brought back to your mind that he told you to do. Would you just lift your hands right now and commit? Maybe you've already committed, but let the Lord know, God, whatever it is, I'm going to do it. And I won't delay. I'm going to obey your word. I will not be a hearer only. I will be a doer of the word.
Whatever you say to do, no matter the sacrifice, Lord, no matter what's going to cost me, no matter the time commitment, oh God, no matter how it's going to look, Lord, to those who may not understand, I commit to you right now. I'm going to do it. I'm going to follow you. And I'm not going to wait. I'm not going to wait any longer. Would you lift your voice right now and commit to the Lord? Ah, this is a holy moment. Jesus name. Jesus name. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. My calling is here today. my call for your service. Sometimes and some today have heard a loud voice and that's me. That was my way of speaking to you. Others only heard a slight whisper and sometimes I speak that so do not minimize the whisper but oy whether it was the shout or whether it was the whisper.
And because I shouted or whispered, it will come to pass and you will follow and obey. Then you will be fulfilled and I will be glorified. Yes. Oh, we submit to you, Lord. We obey. Ah, God. We obey. We believe your word and we're going to obey your word. Oh God. Oh Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.
