Transcript of a published sermon by Rev. David Smith, transcribed from YouTube. An attributed primary source — not Acts 2:38 Life doctrine text.
Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The Same God: Eyes Opened and Cancer Gone
- He tells of a man who asked prayer for cataracts on both eyes; after prayer the man's eyes were no longer milky but clear blue, and he began reading the words on the screen — his pastor said, "He can't do that," and Smith answered, "He can now."
- A woman prayed for on a Tuesday night over stage four cancer came back the following Sunday to report that after her blood work was repeated, her doctor told her there was no cancer at all — not even in remission.
- The same God who took the cataracts and the cancer can burn out cancer, open blind eyes, let the lame walk, and fill people with the Holy Ghost: "Anything is possible in the house here today."
Faith Is High in Here
- Smith says he is transparent about a congregation's faith level, and tells of the bishop at his home church who announced one Sunday that the sermon the Lord gave him was not for one person present: "Apparently, Eastwood, y'all forgot why we're here."
- The bishop dismissed the church for an hour to go bring friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers; when the service started again, 33 people received the gift of the Holy Ghost and 21 of those got baptized.
- He tells this congregation their faith level is high, and sets the ground rules for the altar: nobody will be called out, embarrassed, pulled on, jerked, or shaken — "We do believe in praying the prayer of faith."
Heads Bowed, Eyes Closed: Taking Inventory
- He gives three reasons for bowing heads and closing eyes: to be real with yourself; because we live in a very nosy world that will pump you about what you raised your hand for; and because nobody should come to church and leave the same way they came.
- Hands go up all across the building for pain in the body, and again for those needing a divine intervention — knowing that every time you take a step forward, the enemy tries to push you two steps back, whether in your marriage, your relationship, your workforce, your ministry, or your schooling.
- "Once saved, always saved" and "accepting the Lord as your personal savior" are man-made statements, not Bible statements; he goes to the Bible instead — when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance.
- Hands rise from those who have never spoken that heavenly language, and from those who want to be renewed or refilled in the Holy Ghost — which does not mean you have sinned, only that you are shoring up your relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Probably 50 or 60 percent of the building lifted a hand for something: "That lets me know that God has found favor" — it is impossible for God to lie, and "I have not because I ask not."
"He Cannot Enter": Born of the Water and of the Spirit
- You can go to heaven crippled, sick, or pain-stricken in your body, but except a man is born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
- Heaven rejoices over just one repenting, and this congregation is about to repent as a family — "we're about to put heaven in cardiac arrest"; when the Holy Ghost falls, signs and wonders follow: blind eyes open, tumors leave, cancer disappears.
- He lays out the order of the altar call — those who want to talk to the Lord about receiving the Holy Ghost, or being renewed or refilled, come first, and everyone else who lifted a hand fills in behind them — so everybody knows what is about to happen.
- The whole congregation repents together aloud: "Lord, forgive me of all my sins... for everything that I've thought, that I've done, that I've said, and that I've heard."
- Nobody can give you the Holy Ghost, and repeating one word over and over is not the evidence of it: the evidence is moving from your known tongue into a heavenly language you do not understand, the way they spoke with other tongues all through the book of Acts.
- He is adamant about the Holy Ghost and being baptized in Jesus' name because the Bible promises power after the Holy Ghost comes: "We need the Holy Ghost to help us in this sin sick world."
Scriptures: John 3:5
Ten Receive the Holy Ghost
- As the altar ministers pray, people begin receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost one after another, and Smith keeps count as each one speaks the heavenly language: "There it is. Speak it again. That was the Holy Ghost."
- A young lady who is deaf and has been coming to the church speaks with other tongues, with the whole deaf ministry watching her do it: "She might not hear here, but she will hear there."
- Ten people received the Holy Ghost that day; if the Lord wants to open her ears, open blind eyes, or make the lame walk, he can do it right now — "That doesn't kill my faith. That encourages my faith."
Baptism in the Name, Not the Titles
- He has John 3:5 read aloud in the King James Version and says he will stick with the Bible, even where what he says cuts across religions, denominations, and family tradition.
- It is okay to forget where you parked your car at Walmart, but it is not okay to not know how you were baptized: sprinkling never happened in the Bible, infant baptism never happened in the Bible, and being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost never happened in the Bible — those are man-made baptisms.
- Matthew 28:19 has to be read slowly and whole: "baptizing them in the name of" the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost — the two little dots at the end mean something is coming after that, and Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles, not the name.
- His illustration: he himself is a father and a son, and when he dies he will be a spirit, but his name is David Smith — a check signed "Father, Son, Holy Ghost" could not be cashed, because the banker would send you back to cross out the titles and put the name on it.
- You might see the kingdom of God but not enter it, like standing in California looking across at Tijana; he offers ten thousand dollars, with the pastor of the church doubling it, to anyone who can show him one of those man-made baptisms in that scripture.
Scriptures: John 3:5; Matthew 28:19
Peter's Answer: Acts 2:38
- Peter is the one giving the answer because the Lord gave him the keys to the kingdom — whatever he binds on earth will be bound in heaven — and when you get to heaven there will not be three on a throne but one: "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father... There's only one Lord. There's only one faith. There's only one baptism."
- Acts 2:38 gives the answer to "Men and brethren, what must we do to be saved?": repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost — sins can only be washed away through and by the name of Jesus Christ.
- Baptism is not an act or a deed; it is a covenant and a command — and he invites anyone who wants to be baptized or rebaptized that day to come, with water, robes, and towels ready.
- He closes by counting what the Lord did in the service: nine people who had pain in their body testified that it was gone, alongside the ten who received the Holy Ghost, and the congregation prays for individuals still needing prayer.

Scripture index: John 3:5; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38.
He said, "Uh, well, I'd like to pray for my eyes." He says, "Uh, I got cataracts on both my eyes." You know, I'm from the south down home. They call them Cadillacs. We used to have a lady in our church. She said, "Man, brother, you in?" She said, "I got these Cadillacs. Them thing done come up." And I'm thinking, she was talking about her car. And then finally, I realized she talking about Cataracts, but she kept calling them Cadillacs. She said, "I bet I'm thinking, boy, my girl's cranking off.
Got two Cadillacs." I'm thinking thinking, "Man, I bought them a hamburger last week and they got two Cadillacs. How in the world that happened? So, I was fixing to pray for the guy and my little dude just jumps up and like said palmed his head and I'm thinking, whoa, he's excited about praying. And my man gets to pray and then all of a sudden, I mean, I'm telling you, it was crazy. I was in a church last night that the colors of the seats was the same color as this dude's eyes.
When he opened his eyes, they were no longer milk. They were, I'm telling you, the prettiest blue. And I looked at his eyes and I said, "Sir." And before I could get it out of my mouth, he started reading the words up on the screen. His pastor looked and said, "He can't do that." I said, "He can now." That's the same God that's in this house. I SAID, "THAT'S THE SAME GOD that's in this house. THE SAME GOD THAT TOOK THOSE CATARACTS AWAY IS THE SAME GOD can burn out cancer.
It's the same God that can take care of diabetes. IT'S THE SAME GOD THAT CAN OPEN UP BLIND eyes and unstopps and let the lame walk. Come on, SOMEBODY. IT'S THE SAME GOD THAT CAN FILL YOU WITH THE POWER AND THE PRESENCE OF the Holy Ghost. You say, "So, you believe the Lord's going to touch me?" Yep. You believe God's going to do something great in my life? No doubt about it. You believe the Lord can handle my situation? I promise you, the Lord can do anything.
You say, "So, you think he's going to help me here today?" No doubt about it. You think the Lord's going to work out on my behalf? There's no doubt about it. Anything is possible in the house here today. I said anything is possible in the house here today. We just need to believe that anything is possible. You say, "David, do you really believe that the Lord can do whatever it is that I need him to do?" I promise you he can. I promise you anything is possible.
Anything is possible. We were preaching and I said, "Ma'am, I I believe the Lord can do anything." And so we begin to pray and I'm just going to be honest, I didn't feel nothing special just because I just believe in prayer. And we we got to praying and everything got to going well. And while that started happening, all of a sudden, man, the power of the Lord was so strong. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, I said, "You know what? I'll agree with you." I got Pastor Vinnie.
I said, "Pastor, agree with us." I said, "She says she feels like the Lord done it." And he goes, "I'll agree with you." I said, "Well, let's believe that's on Tuesday night." We went through the week preaching through the week and now it's on Sunday and Sunday comes and all of a sudden the lady was a guest. She was from another place. And Sunday comes and the door opens and I leaned over to Vinnie. I said, "Venny, that's that lady from um Tuesday night." And he goes, "Yeah." She walked right there to me.
She said, "David," she pretty cool. She remembered my name. I said, "Yes, ma'am." She said, "I just want to let you know. I wanted to come back and just tell you what's going on in my body." I said, "Well, how's that old cancer that they were telling you about?" She said, "I'll tell you how it is." She said, "They did the all the blood work again on Wednesday." And she said, "It was stage four." That's what they said. She said, "The doctor came back in." And she said, "I got a call and they asked me to come back in." And she said, "So, I went back in Friday." She said, "The doctor said, "I don't know what to tell you and I don't know what's happened." Said, "But your cancer, it's not in remission." She goes, "Oh, it's not in remission." He goes, "No, ma'am." He said, "I don't know what to tell you." He said, "There's no cancer at all.
That's the same kind of God. I said that's the same kind of God. All things are possible. I'm telling you, the Lord can do anything in the house. Anything is possible in the house of the Lord. Do you believe that right now? Anything can happen in the house of the Lord. God can do anything. So you say again, David, you believe you believe that he can do anything. I'm telling you, he can do anything. The Lord can handle anything. So now you say, "So is he going to touch me today?" Yeah.
Is he going to take care of my situation today? Yep. I Is he going to touch my body or heal my mind or my spirit? Yeah. The Lord literally can do anything in this house. Now, I'm just going to be transparent. faith level is high in here. I can't say that everywhere. I'm just gonna be honest. I'm I'm I'm a transparent kind of guy. You know, if church is dead as a hammer, I'm just gonna say, "Hey y'all, let's let's let's start over." I was in I was in I tell you, my home church, that's just the way brother Euan, that's just the way old Bishop one time he came to one time he came to church, it was Sunday morning.
Papa went to the pool pit. It was kind of funny. Now, I know people wouldn't do that now, but he didn't care. He kept standing there and he kept looking around. He said, "Well, church, you know the craziest thing?" He goes, "The sermon that the Lord gave me this morning ain't for one person here." Well, look how quiet it is. He kept on tapping his Bible. Well, I knew right then. I've had those same fingers tap me in my head, and my chest, in the back of my neck.
I knew about them fingers. He said, "This sermon is not for one person in this building." He said, "Apparently, Eastwood, y'all forgot why we're here." He said, "So, you know what we're going to do? We're going to dismiss." He said, "We're going to go into the streets." He said, "We're going to come back in an hour." He said, "You're going to have your friends and your family and your neighbors and your co-workers and people you don't know with you." He said, "Then when we start church again in an hour," he said, "this little sermon right here that the Lord gave me will be for all the ones who came that you didn't go get the first time." Boy, whoa.
When it was all said and done after that Sunday service, it went a little longer than normal because we had to take an hour break and go do outreach. But when that was all said and done, we had 33 people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and 21 of those got baptized. But faith levels high in here. I can already tell faith levels high in here. So, nobody is going to call us out. Nobody's going to I'm done preaching. Nobody's going to call us out.
Nobody's going to embarrass us. Nobody's going to make us do anything that they don't want to do. You're going to love me for this. I'm just giving some instructions now. Ain't nobody going to jerk on you today. You like that? Ain't ain't nobody going to like be rubbing you down today. If y'all start all that rubbing, let me know. I'm going to get in line and I'm going to let you rub till your fingers fall off. A little to the left. Little to the left. Ain't nobody gonna do your mouth out there, Dave.
We We don't do that here. All right. All right. Ain't nobody gonna shake you today. If you're a shaker, do me a favor. Go outside in the forer and shake real good. Like shake real good. And then when you're done shaking, come on back in. If you can act like you got some sense. If not, you just stay on out there in the forer and keep shaking. And when we leave, we'll shake your hand. That's how we do it around here. Ain't nobody going to pull on people.
Ain't nobody going to jerk on. We don't do that here. But we do believe in praying the prayer of faith. And we do believe in the gift of faith. And we do believe that God can work out any situation in here. Everybody all right with that? Okay. So now again, I'm going to give more instructions. In a few moments, I'm going to ask everyone to bow their head and close their eyes. And the reason I ask people to bow their head and close their eyes is first of all, I want us to be real with our self.
Second reason I ask people to bow their head and close their eyes because of the fact we live in a very nosy world. You raise your hand, your neighbor goes, "Hey, what'd you do?" And you tell them and they're like, "I can't believe you done that." And you're like, "Yeah, I know." They say, "It's okay." They can't help themselves, though. What else did you do? And and you tell them a little bit more and they're like, "Oh my lord." And you're like, "Man, I can't get this person off of me." So, we pull the devil card.
It wasn't even my fault. The devil made me do it. Sometime I think the devil goes, Devil says, "I didn't even think of that. The devil says them church people, man, they can come up with some whoppers. The devil says, "It's been weeks since I've been to church, and I finally decided to go, and now somebody's lying on me." The devil says, "I'm offended. Might not come back for a while." Third reason is I don't want people to say, "Well, I came to church today and I'm leaving the same way that I came." Why would you come to church and leave the same way you came?
Ain't no sense in coming to church and leaving the same way you came. Every time we come to church, we should leave here different. Sometime he'll let you cry. Sometime he'll let you laugh. Sometime he'll let you smile. Sometime he'll let you say, "Uhoh." Sometime the preacher be preaching and you'll be saying, "Uh-huh. My best friend done went off and told the pastor what I told him this week." And it wasn't. That was the Lord. That's the Lord showing you how much he loves you. That's the Lord giving you a little nudge, saying, "Keep getting close to me because it won't be long.
When I come, you'll be able to hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." And end up not just being well done. Uh oh, a few caught that. Yeah. So, nobody will call us out today. Nobody will embarrass us today. In a few moments, we'll come to the front as a family and just talk to God. Is that fair enough? All right. Bump your neighbor. Say, "Man, I like him." Yeah. There you go. Thank you. I like you. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. All right. Everybody all right?
All right. Would you bow your head and close your eyes? Every head bow, every eye closed in the building. So, here we go. Anybody in this building here today, you've got pain in your body right now. You got pain in your body right now. Would you lift your hand? You got pain in your body. Hands are going up all across the building, front to the back, side to side. Literally in every section, hands are being lifted. That's beautiful. You can put them down. Thank you so much.
Before you lift your hand, just listen. Every time you take a step forward, the enemy, the liar, the deceiver, Satan by name tries to push you two steps back. For some, it might be your marriage. For some, it might be your relationship. For some, it might be your workforce. For some, it might be your ministry. For some, it might be your neighborhood or your schooling. But every time you try to do something for the kingdom of God, it seems like the enemy comes in like a flood.
But you're in this building here today, and you're saying, you know what? I'm realizing that all things are possible with God. And you're in this building, and you need a divine intervention from the Lord. You need him and want him to work out a situation for you. Would you lift your hand? You want him to do that? Hands are being lifted again all across the building, front to the back, side to side. Literally in every section, hands are being lifted. You can put them down. I'm not talking about once saved, always saved.
We all know that. That's not a Bible statement. That's a man-made statement. It's not in the Bible. And we're not talking about accepting the Lord as your personal savior. That's not a Bible statement. That's a man-made statement. It's a beautiful statement, but it's it's not Bible. But now we're going to go to the Bible. The Bible says that when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all in one accord, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and filled all the house where they were sitting, and per them clothing tongues like as a fire, and it set upon each and every one of them.
And they were all, not some, but they were all filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, whatever you'd like to call it. They were all filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost and begin to speak with other tongues as a spirit of the Lord gave them utterance. Now, if you've never spoke with other tongues, that doesn't mean something's wrong with you. That just means it's a gift that comes from God that you haven't experienced yet. And as far as you know, with your walk with Jesus Christ, trying to be the best Christian that you know how to be, you've never spoke that heavenly language like they done in the Bible.
Would you lift your hand? You've never spoke that heavenly language. Would you just lift your hand? I see hands going up. I see more hands going up. I see more hands going up. I see more hands. I see now more hands. Now I see more hands. Now I see more hands. Now I see more hands. Uh, thank you so much. Hands were lifted in almost every section. That lets me know we're in the right place at the right time. Before you lift your hand, just listen.
If the Lord came in the next 30 minutes, are you ready? If the answer is, I'm not for sure. If the answer is, well, let me repent and move some stuff around. All those answers are beautiful because here's why. The Lord Jesus Christ has not come back yet for his bride. The catching away, the coming of the Lord has not taken place yet. That means that we still have a chance to be renewed or refilled in the gift of the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit.
Now, let me put a clause in here. To be renewed or refilled doesn't mean you've sinned. Doesn't mean you've done something wrong. To be renewed or refilled just means you're shoring up your relationship with Jesus Christ. meaning that if he would come in the next 30 minutes, you're just wanting to make sure that all is well between you and him. It's called being renewed or refilled in the gift of the Holy Ghost and you're wanting to shore up your relationship with God and you'd like to be renewed or refilled in this building, would you lift your hand?
And I see hands again going up across the building, side to side, literally in every section. That's beautiful. You can put them down. You can lift your head and open your eyes. Thanks for being obedient today. I believe the Lord's going to touch us in this house here today. I believe God's going to do great and mighty things in this house today. Probably about 50% 60% of the building today lifted their hands for something. You know what that lets me know? That lets me know that God has found favor.
Not that anything is wrong, but everything is right. That God has found favor. And he wants to bless, heal, fill, deliver, set free every person that wants something from him. You say, "Man, you just seem sure about that. I'm sure in this word because this word tells me that it's impossible for God to lie." And this word tells me I have not because I ask not. Now, we're educated people. No way that 50 or 60% of the congregation can all fit down here right now. So, here's what we'll do today.
We'll we'll move today in dimensions. Now, I told you about a few miracles and uh they're beautiful, but you know, you can go to heaven crippled. You can go to heaven sick. You can go to heaven with pain stricken in your body. But the Bible says except a man's born of the water and of the spirit, he cannot. Everybody say cannot. He cannot enter the kingdom of God. Now, I know a lot of people don't really get into that scripture too much, but I'm just It's in the Bible.
That's why I'm going to stick with it. It's in the word of God. Except a man, John 3:5, is born of the water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. In that Bible, it also says that heaven rejoices over just one repenting. Just one. I just want y'all to know we're about to put heaven in cardiac arrest. Cuz we're about to repent as a family here. And when we're done repenting, the Holy Ghost is going to begin to fall. And when the Holy Ghost begins to fall, that Bible also told me that signs and wonders begin to follow.
When that Holy Ghost is fallen, I'm telling you now, blind eyes can be open, deaf ears can unstopp, tumors can leave, cancer can disappear, diabetes can be. All manners of sicknesses and diseases have to bow at that name. So, we going to believe that's going to happen. So, I'm giving instructions again in a few moments. I'm going to ask everybody to stand that's able. If you're not able, you're not mean, rude, disrespectful, none of that. And we're going to stand in a few moments. Then I'm going to ask our altar ministers or our ministry.
We're going to come and we're going to line up across the front here. And then everybody that lifted your hands, we're going to move today in dimensions. You might have said, you know what, I need to talk to the Lord about the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, whatever you'd like to call it. Or, I want to talk to the Lord about being renewed or refilled in a few moments. I'll let you come first and then everyone else that lifted your hands, I'm going to let you fill in behind them.
We're not going to start praying. The reason I give so much instruction is so everybody will know what we're doing. Ain't nothing worse than going somewhere and not knowing what's about to happen. I like to know what's happening. And we're going to repent as a family. I've already promised you ain't nobody going to jerk on you, pull on you, shake on you. Well, you we ain't going to do none of that. I'm a firm believer in permission, not forgiveness. Yeah. Get permission. And we're going to pray the prayer of faith.
And people are going to start receiving the spirit. People are going to be healed and filled and delivered. And then when we're done with that, we're going to do one other thing. All right. So now this is where everybody goes, "Oh my Lord, is he serious?" Look at your neighbor and say, "Church just started." We did all that other to get you ready. We sung, we gave, we've preached the word for this moment right here. Now, we ain't going to be here as long as we've already been here, but we're going to pray.
I ain't getting in no hurry. I don't have to be nowhere till 5:30. Your roast is okay. That's why you put it on slow cook. Okay. You'll be fine. Are you all right with everything? All right. Would you stand, please? All right. Altar team, I'm just going to take my time. Altar team, altar ministers, you know who you are. Would you come? All right. Start coming down. Let's just start lining up across the front here. All is well. We good? Here they come. Oh, I like this.
You want to uh just play something soft for me? We don't have to sing or nothing. You can just come play. That's all I need. Just you. You can just come play something soft and make me sound spiritual. I know you can do that. Yeah. She's doing awesome. Yeah. All right. You say, "Who are all these people?" These are people that pastor has put his trust in and put his faith in. pastor and pastor's wife have prayed over and fasted about. This is men and women of God.
There's no possible way that pastor on a Sunday or whenever your midweek is can go and lay hands on everybody that comes to the front. My lord, he'd be here all night long. So what he does is is he enlist help. They're an extension of the man and woman of God. These people have faith. These people believe that something great is about to happen when they pray. Now, you might be next to a friend, a family member, a co-orker, a guest. You might be next to someone and you're thinking, "Man, I want to go pray, but oh, I don't want to." You You might be a guest.
You might say, "It's my first time here. Am I eligible to go pray?" Oh, yeah. It's the same God. So, you might be next to someone and you think, "But I don't want to go by myself." You're in luck at this church. Here's all you got to do. Tap somebody on the shoulder. You don't even have to know them and say, "Hey, I want to go pray. Go with me." They'll say, "Okay, let's go." And you both come. You might be in the middle, people on both sides of you, got a full house today, and you're thinking, "Well, David, I'd go pray, but I can't get out." You're in luck at this church.
Here's all you got to do. You just tap them on the shoulder and say, "Excuse me, I need to get out." If they don't move, you just run over them in Jesus' name. You come on down and when they get up, we'll rejoice. If they won't get up, we'll pray and call 911. Either one works. We hadn't had that problem yet, but at any moment. So now, if you'd like to talk to the Lord about receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, or you'd like to talk to the Lord about being renewed or refilled, and let me put a clause in here again.
To be renewed or refilled doesn't mean you've done something wrong. Don't mean you sinned. It just means that you're shoring up your relationship with Jesus Christ. But if you'd like to talk to the Lord about receiving that beautiful gift, would you begin to just step out and make your way down? And here they come. just start coming down. That's right. I know everybody's waiting on somebody else to move. And here they come. Here they come. Let's give them a hand clap. Here they come. Come on.
People are coming down right now. That's right. People are coming. You want to ask your friend? You want to go pray with me? There you go. Here they come. They coming down from the back even. Let's give them a hand clap. Here they come. Come on. They still coming down. Here they come. That's right. Come on. They still coming down. Here they come. All right. While they were they still coming down. I'm just waiting. They still coming down. All right. Here they come. They still coming down.
Let's believe. Now, while they're coming down, if you needed the Lord to do something for you, would you step out? And when you begin to come down, you needed God to do something for you. You wanted the Lord to work something out for you, would you step out and come down? And here they come. Let's give the Lord a hand clap of praise while they're coming down. That's right. Come on. Let's give the Lord a hand clap while they coming down. That's right. They still coming down.
That's right. They still coming down. Yep. That's right. Just make your way on down. That's right. Just keep Just keep coming down. Yeah. Just keep coming down. Got folks still coming down. Got folks coming down from this side here. Yep. Folks are still coming down. Yeah, that's right. Make your way down. God's doing it. God's doing it in the house. God's doing it in the house. That's right. Lord's in the house here today. The Lord can do anything. Altter ministers, when you're praying, if you praying with somebody and they receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, just keep up with that and just let us know.
I'm going to get down and pray for people, too. But if you're praying with somebody and they begin to speak that heavenly language and that's what they wanted from the Lord, just let us know. It's not about numbers, but it is about telling the devil he's a liar and he's a deceiver and he's the father of lies and the truth isn't in him. And people are still receiving that beautiful gift. It's still happening. All right, are you ready? God's about to help us here today. Let's repent as a family.
Say, "Lord, forgive me of all my sins." I'm sorry, Lord. Sorry, Lord. For everything that I've thought, that I've done, that I've said, and that I've heard. Forgive me, Lord. Of things I don't even realize I don't realize I have done. I give myself 100% to you, Lord. Lord. Thank you, Lord. For my miracle, for my for my deliverance, for my healing, for my healing. Thank you, Lord. For filling me filling and refilling me with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost. Thank you, Lord, for forgiving me.
Now, I want to just give a little clause here. When the Holy Ghost begins to fall, I'm just going to explain it Louisiana way. That's all I know to do. Nobody can give you the Holy Ghost. I've been to some venues and they're saying, "Say this after me." That That's not the Holy Ghost, y'all. standing there going, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." That's that's not the Holy Ghost. That's not the evidence of the Holy Ghost. It's when you move from your known tongue. So, let's just do it like this.
If all you know is English and you begin to speak this heavenly language you don't understand, congratulations. Now, you're bilingual. And that's the evidence of the Holy Spirit. That's the evidence of the Holy Spirit. All through the Bible in the book of Acts, it said when they received the Holy Ghost, they heard them speak with other tongues. If you're already bilingual and you begin to speak a language you don't understand, congratulations. Now you're triilingual and that's the evidence of the Holy Ghost. And if you're triilingual and that starts happening, you're smart.
And that's the evidence of the Holy Ghost. No one gives you the Holy Ghost. Now, I'm I know what people are thinking right now. David Smith, why are you so adamant about the Holy Ghost and being baptized in Jesus name? Why are you so adamant? Because the Bible says, pastor, ye shall receive power after that, the Holy Ghost. So if you live in the same world I live in, we need the Holy Ghost to help us in this sin sick world. We need the Holy Ghost.
Holy Ghost is about to fall here. You believe it? Let's start saying thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost all over the house. Thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost. Altar ministers find somebody to lay your hands upon right now. F altter ministers pray for somebody right now by the authority in the word of God and by the power of the name Jesus receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost right now in Jesus name. I want to let it flow when they begin to speak that language.
Let us know here it comes right now. Alter ministers, keep your eyes open and watch what's happening right now by the authority in the word of God right now. Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. I'm going to put that mic down. There you go. There's one right there. Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost right there. Yep. THERE IT GOES. When I lay hands on you, me and pastor sound like Jimmy. Don't worry about what it sound like.
All right. I can tell you're thinking I can tell you're a smart dude. Like you're a smart dude. Okay. So, you are a smart. So, here's the deal. When I lay hands on you, when I lay hands on, he's going to receive the Holy Spirit. He's going to speak with tongues. Are you ready? Here it comes. Now, there it is. There it is. Speak it. There it is. Right there. There it is. Omar. That's right. Speak it out right there. Go ahead. Keep on. Keep on.
I hear you. Hallelujah. Come on. Speak it out. Speak it out. Speak it out. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Do you hear something? You don't understand. Let it come out. Let it come out. Pastor Yeah. This lady here is deaf and she said she's never spoken in you ready to come out. Today I have is going to receive the gift of the spirit right now. Open your mouth. Speak it out right there. There it goes. Right there. That's right. No more English. There it comes. That's not a language you know.
Let it speak right now. Speak it out. There it goes. Let it go. There it goes. There it comes. Right there. There it goes. Right there. There it goes. There it goes. One word at a time. Just keep speaking it right there. Speak it right there. Yeah. Go ahead. Speak it again right there. Speak it again right there. I'm a believer. I'm a believer. Let it sir. You guys are always Let it come out. Don't even think about it. Don't think about it.
Don't think about language. There's that heavenly language. Here it comes right now. Speak it now. Speak it now in Jesus name. There it goes. There it goes. Do it again. Do it again. There it goes. Do it again. There it is. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. I hear it. I hear Ben. Let it come out again. Let it come out. You don't got to jump around. Just let it come out. Speak it again. Hallelujah. He's going to do Hallelujah. Let it come out right now. There it goes. Right there. Come on. Come on. Let me hear it. Come on. I know you, but let me hear. Come on. Speak it out right there. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. Speak out. Speak it out. Speak it out right there. There it is. Right there. Let it flow.
Let it flow right now. Hallelujah. and you're able. You're able. Happy Hallelujah. I love Jesus. the Holy Ghost. I'm telling you, I know people are probably wondering what's the commot. emotion going on. We have a young lady that's been coming to church here. She's deaf. I I can't figure the Lord out, but here she is over here speaking with other tongues. Everybody's right there that's even in that ministry knows she's speaking with tongues. I ask the Lord, go ahead and open her ears, too, Lord. Let her hear herself speaking in tongues.
You know, I've seen that happen many times, but to God be the glory. So, so you'll know we've had 10 receive the Holy Ghost today. To God be the glory. We've had 10 receive the spirit today. All right. I love it. You know what that I don't care what nobody says. That's beautiful as it comes right there. She might not hear here, but she will hear there. And that some people say, "Oh, that's a copout." It ain't a copout cuz I'm not God. But I know one thing.
If he wants to open those ears, he can do it right now. If he wants to open blind eyes, he can do it right now. If he wants to lane the walk, he can do it right now. That's what kind of God I serve. That doesn't kill my faith. That encourages my faith. Some people like, "Oh, nah, not me." All right, let's go a little further. She'll probably keep praying because she can't hear me, but that's all right. Uh, I'd like to go to John 3:5 on the computer.
Is that is that you, sir? John 3:5 in the King James version. You already know. I like that one. Yeah, that's beautiful. John, you you can you can quit if you want. I know you've been playing for an hour. If you're okay, that's why I don't want to wear you out and you talk about me when I leave. Yeah. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man's born of the water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven." Now, I'm I'm going to say a few things, and it might go against I hate to say it like this, but religions or denominations or your brother, sisters, cousins, nephew, or your grandma, your grandpa, your uncle, your aunt, your mom, and your dad.
But I just like to stick with the Bible. You know, school wasn't my best subject. I went to school a long time. I was the only kid who failed summer school. When I came home, my mom said, "How in the world can you fail summer school?" I said, "Just like this." Mom, Mr. Smith, you failed. I said, "That's how it happened. You should have been there. Nobody else could believe it, but I did. I failed summer school." So, I remember when I was a little kid, I went to school.
I think I went to first grade twice. But in first grade, you know, they kept telling me mom and dad came from monkeys and all that. Y'all remember that in school? Huh? I mean, seriously. And then when I went to church and I went to Sunday school, I realized that, oh, Jesus created Adam and Eve. And then here we are from there. I I never forget, man. I thought what that lady meant at my public school was mom and dad act like monkeys. But really Jesus created us.
All right. That's called a revelation at a young age. A lot of you hopefully got that same revelation, you know. So now I'm going to say a few things that you might say, h I didn't I didn't hear it like that. I didn't see it like that. But I'm just going to stick with the Bible. Going to talk about baptisms. I It's okay to forget where you parked your car at Walmart. It's why you have a clicker. Hopefully your little battery works. Okay. But it's not okay to not know how you were baptized.
Now again, I don't want to be offensive to anyone. I'm talking to David Smith, but I'm going to share with you that word. Okay? Sprinkling never happened in the Bible. That's a man-made baptism. Infant baptisms never happened in the Bible. That was a man-made baptism. Being baptized in Muhammad or Allah never happened in the Bible. That that was a man-made baptism. Being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or Father, Son, and Holy Spirit never happened in the Bible. That was a man-made baptism.
Now, I have people that come to me and say, "David, I saw Father, Son, Holy Ghost in the Bible." And we do, and I'm going to go to that scripture, but we're going to read the whole scripture, not just part. It's in Matthew 28:19, Mr. Computer Man, and it's not their fault if it takes them a few moments. I didn't give any scriptures, but it don't take them long here. Go ye therefore, comma, and teach all nations, comma, let's stop right there. There was no baptism happening there, pastor.
It was only teaching of the name to come. They were teaching that on a mountaintop. Not that you can't be baptized on a mountain. That's just a point of reference. They were teaching that on a mountaintop. But you got to read it slow. It says, "Baptizing them in the name of." Say that with me. In the name of, I'm going to ask you that again in a moment to repeat to me. In the name of the Father, comma, and of the Son, comma, and of the Holy Ghost with them two little dots on the end.
I did learn that in summer school before I got kicked out. Honestly, that means something's coming after that. It didn't say, "Go ye therefore, teach all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." That changes the whole context of the scripture. You can go Greek, Hebrew, whatever. Just read it. It's how it's how it's wrote. So to break it down where we live, I am a father and I am a son. And when I die, I'm going to be a spirit, but my name is David Smith.
So if I wrote everybody a check for coming to church today for $1,000, you'd say, "Praise God, I'm going every Sunday. I'm going to quit my job and go to church full-time. Get my check. Your check's going to say David and Carlin Smith, Alexandria, Louisiana. Get ready, hackers. 297014506 is my account number. That's bank first if you need to know that. I'm going to sign everybody's check. Father, Son, Holy Ghost. When you get to the bank tomorrow, the banker's going to say, "Hey, man, that check's real." You're going to be like, "Oh, yeah." The banker's going to say, the he's going to say, "And the money is in the bank." And I'm going to say, "Oh, yeah." And you are, too.
And the banker's going to say, "But we have one small issue. What's the person's name that gave you that check? And you're gonna say he signed it, Mr. Banker. Miss Banker, father, son, Holy Ghost. That banker going to say, uh-uh, that ain't his name. Banker said, you better go back and find that person, that man, and tell him, "Cross out them titles and put your name if you ever want to cash that check." Oh, Jesus wasn't playing. He knew what he was doing. Banker said, "You're going have to cross out them titles and put the name if you ever want to cash that check.
If you ever want to hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." That Bible says you got to be born of the water, the name, and of the spirit. That's the Holy Ghost. If you want to enter the kingdom of God, you might see the kingdom of God, but you might not enter. I'm just sticking with the Bible. I was in I was in I was in San Diego the other day and the pastor said, "Brother Smith, that's Tijana." I said, "Mhm." He said, "You want to go to Tijana?" I said, "No, I ain't lost nothing in Tijana." But I was in California looking at Tijana.
You don't want to be standing at the gate of heaven and looking into heaven but not being able to go. There ain't no once saved always saved. I we said that earlier. That ain't the Bible. Ain't no accepting the Lord as your savior. That ain't the Bible. I'm I'm sticking with the Bible. You can't get mad at me. You got to get mad at him. If you can show me that anybody was sprinkled, that never happened. If anybody was infant baptized, that never happened. Muhammad or Allah, that never happened.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, or Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that never happened. But if you can show me out of that scripture where it did, I'll give you 10 grand today before you leave. And the pastor of this church will double it. And he got it. You say, "Whoa. So, how should I be baptized? How many loves the Bible? Well, let's just go to the Bible then. Don't take me, take them. Here we go. Acts 2:38, Mr. Computer Man. A small scripture, a simple scripture, but a powerful scripture.
Then Peter said unto them, now let's just back up because I've had people come to me after ser. I got to ask a question. Why? Why was it Peter saying it? Well, if you read your Bible, I think the Lord had already told Peter, "Whatever you bind on earth, I'm going to bind in heaven. Whatever you loose, I'mma loose." Did he not? He said, "I'm going to give you the keys to the kingdom." He said, "I'm going back to the place that's been prepared for me.
When you get to heaven, there won't be three on a throne. There'll only be one." He said, "Cuz when you've seen me, you've seen the Father." He said, "I and my father are one, and beside me there is no other." He said, "There's only one Lord. There's only one faith. There's only one baptism." So he gave Peter the keys to the kingdom. And he said, "I'm going to the house and you tell them how to be saved." So the scripture was, "Men and brethren, what must we do to be saved?" Peter gives the answer.
Then Peter said unto them to repent and to be baptized some of you. You you mean a few of you? Oh, if grandma said it was okay. It says what? Every one of you. And what did I ask you to remember? Every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ. I can't see how the world can't see that. That's as plain and as simple as it comes. When the Lord got him to write that out, he didn't put no Hittites and omites and terrammites and Hippolytes and hypocrites and he made it simple.
He made them little small words for guys like me and you. He made it simple where anybody could understand it. In the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. any other baptism. I commend you. I honor you. But sins have not been washed away. Sins can only be washed away through and by the name of Jesus Christ. Baptism is not an act or a deed. It's a covenant and a command. It's when you come in covenant with God. And ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Period. That means end of sentence. I learned that the same day that I learned my two little dots at summer school. No joke. We got water here. We got robes. We got towels. We've never lost no one in the tank since I've been here. And so I have to ask, is there anyone you'd like to be baptized or rebaptized just like they done in the word of the Lord? You won't get your clothes wet. We have everything it takes to be baptized. Is there anybody like to be baptized or rebaptized today?
All right. If you just lift your hand, we'll we'll get you ready. Now, I know y'all do well at baptisms and stuff, but I always have to ask. All right. Now, I know we didn't pray for this, but I'll just ask. I know while we were praying and people were receiving the Holy Ghost, I know people got touched and healed and filled and delivered. So, I just have to ask, is there anybody here uh tonight, today, you had pain in your body, but now you don't?
Or you know the Lord touched your body. You know for sure. You know your body like nobody. Would you wave your hand? You know the Lord touched you. Here's one, two, three, four, five, six. Any about seven, 8, nine? Let's give the Lord a hand clap of praise for that. Nine people touched by the hand of the Lord. 10 people received the Holy Ghost. Now, anybody else need to be prayed for before we leave? Anybody else need to be prayed for? Are you good? All right, my friend Jr., I'd like I'd like some people go right there to JR and pray for JR right there.
Go ahead. Raise your hand again. Oh, isn't that what you had on your shirt, Jr.? Oh, that's your kid. Well, we'll pray for that one, too. Somebody go pray right there for my friend right here. Yeah, y'all pray. There you go. All right. Yeah, let's pray. Lord, right now, you see right now, God, want you to touch, you know, everything that's going on right there, Lord. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we're going to give you honor and praise and glory for the things that you do.
We're going to magnify and lift you up, call upon your name, God, it's going to be on God. We're going to give you honor and praise and glory. Going to give you honor, praise, and glory right now in the name of the Lord Jesus.
