Victory Through The Storm

X 27 X 27 we're gonna start with verse number 9 X 27 and we're gonna start with verse number 9 many of you may know this portion of Scripture but to some it may be your first time now when much time was spent and when sailing was now dangerous because the fast was now already past Paul admonished them and said among them search I perceived that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage not only the lading and the ship but also our lives nevertheless the Centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship more than those things which were spoken by Paul I want to preach to you just a little bit tonight and I I will do more preaching than teaching I just felt that all day today to preach what I feel like the Lord would have us to hear in this season of life I don't know what you came in here with no matter no matter the struggle no matter the pain no matter the sickness I just feel like declaring unto us on this Wednesday night victory through the storm victory through the stone can somebody say that with me victory through the storm victory through the storm you may be seated if you won't sit down on what God is about to do if I were to ask you this question and and we've all done it many of us have looked back over our lives and looked at our lives and realized that it is only the grace of God that we have lived this law soon approaching 46 years old I can look back over my life and I stand before you a product of the grace and the mercy of God anybody else in this room a product of the Grace and the mercies of God but for many of us in this room tonight you have you have survived car accident you have survived drug abuse you've survived gang violence you have survived and almost drowning experience these are things that come to me today as I was preparing and getting my heart fixed on what the Lord would have me to say so many circumstances have taken the lives of those that we have been acquainted with it could have been a child it could have been a family member it could have been someone that you were very close with some of you here tonight right now know that if it wasn't for the grace of God it could have been you it could have been me it could have been if it had not been for the hand of the Lord all my life I promise you I could be spending the rest of my life behind bars I could be somewhere in some crack house tonight I could be in in some drug alley I could be out of my mind in a mental institute for the Lord I'm thankful tonight for His mercy I'm thankful that God has given us the ability even tonight that despite what we deserve God has been rich in mercy and victories seem to come through some of the most storm ridden decisions and storm written choices of life but I stand before you and tell you that God in His mercy is still giving victory through the storms if you believe that shouting man I don't care how bad the circumstances look I don't care how bad it may appear or seem right now God is still on the throne God is still in control it does not matter what it looks like on the surface if we can always remember and hang on to that God is still in control in spite of what you see in spite of what you're hearing God is still in control

let me let me begin this story of the message that I feel tonight to preach that Paul's advice to these sailors to these individuals was simply it's not a good idea to sail I don't think that you need to say I perceive in the spirit that this voyage there will be much hurt in much damage not only to the ship not only to those that are them but but our lives are gonna be a jeopardy our lives are gonna be at harm and I believe if I were to ask and pull this audience first show of hands how many know we it's not it's not always wise to not listen to wise counsel it behooves us to listen to wise counsel especially if they're protecting and leading you in trying to keep you from harm that's what Paul was doing he was trying to keep them from getting in a situation that would cause them much grief in much pain but as such as we are tonight those situations come they happen and you hear voices behind this pulpit you you you hear my voice and I give the warning I send the shot across the bow and and I'm trying to instruct and warn us but I don't know if it's a nature thing a carnal thing specially thing sometimes we think we know more than God we think we know more than what the council that's trying to give us and as a result just as they didn't listen we haven't listened and we sell directly into the storm they sell directly into the storm of their very life x27 and 11 it tells us nevertheless this interior believe the master and the owner of the ship more than those things which are which were spoken of by Paul be careful what voices you listen to that go contrary to the Word of God and the man of God in your life be very careful that you don't go again if there is a a won't I proceed there's trouble ahead it would be very unwise for you to do it anyway it would be very foolish because there's always consequences two choices somebody say men but I believe this long enough and I keep saying this if I were to pull this all this air and ask you to raise your hands you would say there's nothing like a bad storm realigning your priorities anybody ever bad ever had a bad storm that realigns your priorities covet 19 realigned just about every one of our priorities maybe a diagnosis is real lunge your priorities maybe a job changes realign your priorities maybe the lack of a job has realigned your priorities maybe it decisions that you've made choices that you've made yet you find out real quick what you need and what is unnecessary or what is excess baggage when you get in the midst of a storm you find out what's important when you get in a storm because really all this matter when you're in a storm is I've got to make it to the other side and I've got to be safe I've got to make sure my well-being is safe I've got to make sure my family is safe etc you just fill in the blanks

but when you get to acts 27 18 and 19 and we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest the next day they lightened the ship and the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship in other words it got so bad that tempest that they what they started doing is just getting rid of the excess weight they started getting rid of the excess things that really didn't matter in life they started getting rid of that I don't know what they got rid of the Bible's just said the next day they lighten the ship I believe it would do us all good I know we just come through covet 19 but it would probably do us all good whatever storm were in whatever phase of life were in that we would begin to evaluate our shield evaluate what's on board but goes sometimes whether we know it or not there's excess baggage in our lives that God's trying to could it be the storm was sent the storm was allowed so that there could be some baggage that was got rid of what kind of magnet are you talking about pastor well what what about bitterness what about unforgiveness what about anger what about strife what about backbiting what about jealousies and that list could go on and on and when you're in a storm really what does that stuff really matter what does that matter why are we jealous over someone else well we're in the storm of our life and we're fighting for our survival and we're jealous over some no no that's not a time to be jealous that's not a time to be strifing and and vengeful and holding on to unforgiveness when we're in the storm of our life I think it would do us all good to evaluate our own personal lives and ask ourselves before the mirror of the word what do I need to rid nyship of what do I need to let go of for my own survival for my own well-being for my own sanity what do I need let go the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship basically what what this scripture and if you continue reading this was destroyed but they made it to land because Paul said if you stick with the ship you're gonna be safe they made it to the land on boards and broken pieces of the ship there was something that those men did finally understand a fresh revelation of was the importance of the boat or the importance of the ship the importance was not in the baggage they let go of but it was in the ship that they held on to a lot of times we want to hold on to the baggage and let go of the ship but the revelation that God gave me this afternoon was that they were willing to lighten the ship they were willing to lighten the baggage of the ship but yet hang on to the ship of Zion somebody in this place tonight I've come to speak into your spirit I know the storms are raging I know it may be though as the the ship of your life is literally breaking into pieces and it seems like my life is just a a frail resemblance of what it was just a few years ago but I've come to tell you in the Holy Ghost as long as you stay with the ship everything's gonna be alright that ship or your life may be broken now but you're still coming to the house of the Lord you may be wounded tonight but I'm still in the house of the Lord with my hands lifted with a voice to praise you may be spiritually bleeding but you're still coming to the house of the Lord you may be crying you may be confused you may have been rejected but I've come to tell you if you stay with the ship you're gonna be alright you too late to tell me that God does not put value in the ship God puts value in the charge hallelujah hallelujah I know we are not everything we ought to be but thank God we're not who we used to be hello I know some of you are sitting on these pews are on these chairs tonight some of you are watching via webcast tonight and you're saying to yourself oh I'm hanging on to the ship but I'm still struggling with habits and hang-ups I'm still wrestling with anger and forgiveness issues I still slip up every once in a while and say something I shouldn't say yeah I know I'm not where I thought I would be by now but thank God I'm moving in the right direction I've come to give you props tonight I've come to say to you yes you may not be where you thought you would be but you're where you need to be in the house of the Lord you're in the ship tonight the devil would love to tell you it'd just be better to stay home it'd just be better for you to stay home wine and give it a shot I've tried this church thing out trying to live for God and it worked yeah well I can promise you your worst day in the church is better than your best day in that world ha ha ha I felt I'm literally I felt that some of you are paddling you're God you're doing everything you can to stay afloat but I promise you if you'll stay with the ship you're not going around because victory is about to come through your storm I said victory is coming through your storm

you finished reading X 27 44 in the rest some on boards and some on broken pieces of the ship and so it came to pass whoo that day all somebody say all they all escaped try leonor they all escape to save to land that lets me know even the ones that were disobedient even the ones that did not give regard to the commander Paul the prophetic word that the storm was coming you're gonna you're gonna wish you hadn't have done this guys I'm telling you it's not safe to sail I know you don't get it but somewhere in the middle of that storm something settled in into them I don't know who was the first one to break a piece of the ship off and start floating toward land but somebody saw somebody else somebody saw somebody else grab a piece of that ship and notice they were floating I don't read where they had any life preservers I don't even know if they had those things even invented then but I can tell you when I read this scripture when I read is that as long as they held onto the ship victory came through the storm what was designed to take them out what was designed to totally destroy them as long as they stayed with the ship they made it through the storm I just want to ask someone tonight in the Holy Ghost do you thank God that you've made it through the storms that you guys anybody made it through a storm has anybody made it through any obstacles and opposition have you been lied on have you been betrayed have you been walked out on could I say to you those things that you've been through those testimonies that you have formed and that which has been forged through storms of your life they should have killed you but you made it as there's some things that you've been through is New York Times bestseller worthy yeah some of the things that you should have went under you should have been a prayer most of those things probably of you be honest were your own fault they were brought on by yourself but God had mercy on you and I stand before you and I look across this audience and I know I'm preaching to those on the web tonight that you have made it you made it through those you made it through those trials you made it through that tribulation you made it through that bitter divorce you made it through that awful abuse and you stand on a Wednesday night you sit in a church that declares that God can do anything I know I'm preaching the people this evening you shouldn't have made it but you're still here you should have made it through the storm but you need to look at the devil and you need to remind him not what you thought it was gonna take me out was literally not victory that I'm living in my victory that I possess my victory that I'm holding on to and devil I'm still here I ain't going nowhere I'm still here I ain't going nowhere this is the Church of the Living God this is the Church of the Living God and I will stand and declare that victory does come through storms

a little x28 it's the following scripture or father following passage of Scripture and when they were escaped then they knew that the island was called Malita and the barbarians people showed us no little kindness for they kindled a fire and received everyone because of the present reign and because of the cold and when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire there came a viper out of the heat and fastened on his hand and when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand they said among themselves no doubt this man is a murderer whom though he had escaped to see yet vengeance suffereth not to live and he shoot off the beast into the fire and felt no harm howbeit they looked when he should have swollen or falling down dead suddenly but after they had looked a great while and saw no harm to him oh I love these words they changed their mind and said this guy must be a guy they made it through the greatest storm of their life they landed on this island the barber the barbarians on this island began to Kindle this fire for them Paul begin to help keep the fire burning he began to gather sticks and you know to add to their fire and what happens was an attack we say of the enemy and at a viper fastens itself into the hand of Paul it says howbeit they looked or they watched or they anticipated our they waited for what was supposed to happen now I hate to burst some of your bubbles but there are people who are watching you that don't want you to make it they're watching us see how long you are gonna stay in church all day they didn't they were they ain't gonna make it I know they they they started coming to church and they're trying to do gonna make it they anxiously waited and anticipated Paul's downfall and there are those that are anxiously awaiting and anticipating your downfall they rejoice when they see you going through hardships and trials and I know that seems like Matt Mena is anybody that cruel yeah there's people out there that cruel people don't want to see you blessed we don't want to see you happy people don't want to see you living for God and really the joy of the Lord being your strength there's just people that are wired that way but you know what what these people were about to see they had never seen before what people are seeing in your life today they've never seen before in you so it's catching some people a little bit off guard they're not understanding why you do still have joy in your spirit and joy in your soul and that you and God now have a relationship it's not just a relationship to what mama and daddy had or what Grandma and Grandpa but you finally get in a relationship for what God has done in your life that's what I'm talking about there are there is a time that you got to get this for yourself not because they got it not because she got it but what have you got when the Viper comes out of the fires of life when that Viper comes out and attack isn't it strange isn't it always a little comical that after such great victories the enemy always wants to attack you just got brought through on dry ground you've just made it on a on a board a broken piece to the shores of Amelita and now the enemy has attacked that's just the nature of the enemy that's just the nature of the beast that wants to attack you and try to pull you down that that Viper that took a hold of Paul Paul's arms should have swollen or he should have fallen down suddenly if you went by medical science he should have died right there on the spot every legal adviser says everybody anybody in your circle of influence says you all not be here you ought to be dead and gone you ought to be off the scene you should be in a mental institution you should be strung out on drugs you should be mad at God or mad at the world but I've came to tell somebody that you're not only going to make it but you're not gonna just you're not just gonna make it through but you're making it through and there are those around you that are watching you that are that that are really spectators in this thing called life that you're in right now and they're sitting wondering I don't understand how they made it through I don't understand how they can get up on Sundays and how they can go to church on on Wednesdays and how they can live for God and worship God with all of the junk they've been through but when you get a revelation when I get a revelation of the goodness of God and I get a revelation that God's been better than me than I deserve and that I could ever be to myself I'm reminded when the children of Israel went through the Red Sea God didn't just part the waters he dried the ground that they walked on that don't make sense to the carnal man how you were once an addict you were once bound but now you're free you were once this and now you're that but the god I serve serves notice to the devil even on a Wednesday night that he can turn the worst of situations around and bring victory through the storm I believe when the children of Israel walked on dry ground it wasn't even that wasn't even a sign of mud on their toes it was so dry that was no mud on their toes for a little bit for those children of Israel it looked like the enemy was closing in on the other and the enemy was going to overtake them but let me just tell you those those faithful men and women of God they just kept walking toward that sea and they just started I don't know why and I don't know when but victory's about to come through this storm I've got a word what what they didn't know when they began to walk God put a pillar of darkness behind that Pharaoh couldn't even see what God was doing in front of him could it be even this night that God is working God has blinded your enemies God has blinded with darkness and foiled the attacks of the enemy because he is getting ready to usher in the victorious chant of your life and that would be I've made it I made it through on dry ground I made it through this pain I made it through this love I made it through this betrayal I made it through and Here I am standing on dry ground Oh while you're walking while you're being faithful to the church while you're getting involved in the kingdom of God what you're doing what you know you should do while you're doing your part God said I'm gonna take care of your enemies I'm gonna take care of those things that you can't do it but my word to you just keep walking just keep being faithful don't you stay at home what do you mean Stan what don't you stay at home because well I don't know who's gonna be there I don't know what they'll say I don't know what they'll talk how though you gotta silence the voices of Hell around you and you've got to remove you gotta remind yourself whose you are you're a child of the king you've been blood pumped you've been purchased not with your own blood not with someone when someone else's blood buys you didn't even start worrying about their opinion but I'm not standing her and you're not sitting in the in the presence of anyone whose blood has ever purchased somebody but we worship here o Israel the Lord our God whose blood purchased us who redeemed us who brought us out of darkness into his marvelous night and we stand tonight justified and sanctified by the Holy Ghost I want to tell you and I just keep walking though the brights just keep walking though the sparks just keep walking brother Jones I know you're gonna have surgery tomorrow your hands may not be as mobile as they as they once was but if in your spirit you can just keep walking and know God still a healer God can still bring me that God can still rehabilitate me God can still do what he said he could do and we just got to wake up to the fact it doesn't matter what they say about you it doesn't matter what they do it doesn't matter what the doctor says it doesn't matter what the rebellious child may be doing right now come on somebody it doesn't matter what the financial report says I've come to tell you it's no time to sit and cry it's just it's time to keep walking it's time to know that victory is coming through the storm when God gets through blessing you you won't even look like what you've been through and what you've been through is gonna reveal the glory of God the three Hebrew boys could have prayed God brick don't let me go through the fire but God said I'm gonna put you through the fire and that's when I'm gonna show up because there's some people that still need to know I am God when they look in this far they're not just gonna see you three they're gonna see I see four men loose walking the only evidence of what you have been through the only evidence what you went through it's gonna be greater faith a greater love a greater confidence a greater commitment and a greater testimony that's gonna be the only evidence that God says that this is what I'm gonna Forge through you I'm gonna allow when you come through this when victory comes through this storm you're gonna have greater faith in you've ever had you're gonna have greater love greater confidence greater commitment greater testimony you know that tells me I'm going through when you somebody say that with me I'm going through I'm going through I don't care what the rest of the world tries to do you've just got to start prophesying your victory I'm not going under I'm going through because victory comes through the storm David said yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death you're going through because you're going to there's something greater that lies ahead there's something greater on the horizon if the devil could have he would have took you out years ago but he missed his best shot and now you stand among the redeemed of the Lord and you spend victorious through storms I wish I could prophesy and tell you that God was always going to take the the water out of the storm or the heat out of the fire or the pain out of the process but I will tell you he'll go with you through it if you'll keep the faith in God God's going to bring you out God's gonna bring you through

when you step back to the story of Paul the Bible says that Paul shook off the Beast this wasn't just a a little you know just a little you know for me no I don't believe that I believe that Viper had attached itself to the flesh of Paul I believe that this Viper had become violent and aggressive against the man of God it was an attacks am I saying attacked it was an attack against the man of God it was attack against the Word of God that would be pronounced and professed out of him I don't say this as nicely as I possibly can there are some things you can pray about and you can ask God to take away and there are some things you just got to be violent and be aggressive against and what I mean by that there's some spirits you can't play with if you know your if and I'm gonna get real playing here if you know your temptation is your flesh you cannot put your flesh in a compromising situation where you are going to be you're going to be a victim if you're if you're if you're temptation is it may be it may be it's drugs maybe it's alcohol you can't play away you can't play around with it well I'll just be friends or I'll just no no no no no you got to get a spirit upon you that you just got to say no I ain't going around it I ain't gonna even be in the midst of it it's not gonna come now my door I'm gonna keep you got to get a spirit that Paul got in just shake it loose it's almost like your life depends on it I'm gonna shake until that viper is gone I most don't his head in the ground so there is no resemblance of what attacked me that's how desperate we got to get out of there's just this little pattycake for Jesus on Sunday and and we give God weekend visitation rights and we think just because we come no no no I'm talking about your demons in your bedroom on Monday I'm talking about the demons that get in that vehicle yeah and we're praying with them and we're planning no no it's gotta be a shaking a holy ghost shaking I'll break through that closes you to understand my soul is more important my family is more important not something listen to fair not some drug not some alcohol not some one-night stand come on somebody I'm preaching to some athletics in this room right now I'm so sick and tired of families being torn apart families are getting torn apart every day because there's not a a spirit that rises upon us that shake see spirits Hall and gets angry and just think you know what devil I've took all I can take I'm shaking it off I'll tell you some of you need to get a hold of your cell phone and you need to plead the blood over it'd be good for some of you to bring your phones to the altar and get some all I command these spirits these lustful lying demon spirits that we've been playing around with come on somebody some of you need to anoint your browser I'm in the Holy this ain't no where am I I'm in the Holy Ghost and some of you playing with fire and if you don't get a hold of your soul Hales gonna rock you to sleep and the victory that God is trying to promise you it'll come through the storms of your but there comes a time where you gotta get bold and courageous and you gotta walk around your house and get a bottle of all and say in the name of Jesus i anoint my home I command these spirits to leave my home over every door every window every car every phone every computer you can't expect to play with fire and don't get burned I've come to pull you out of the mouth of hell I've come to pull you with every this pool pitch trying to do what it's designed to do is pull you out of a pit where hell is trying to rock your soul to sleep but I've come in the Holy Ghost to tell you that victory can come to you through your storms shake that fear loose shake that depression loose shake that is that addiction loose shake that spirit of hopelessness I've come against the spirit of suicide in the name of Jesus take that lust shake that perversion shake that poverty mentality loose shake that sickness loose shake that dead powerless religion loose

it's time to get a hold of God for your family I've come to speak to me and you may come to church all by yourself I speak to women you may come to church all by yourself and you've been praying and believing for your family you've been believing for your husband you've been believing for your wife you've been believing for your children now you got to start praying prayers God shake my family shake my family why are we scared well I was scared to pray like that God put rocks in their bed you think I want them to have fun out there living for the world I know stands fun for season but where's the I don't know brother Paul I know you've got testimonies I've got there's plenty testimonies in here where we've literally played God put rocks in their bed they can't even sleep at night they can't even have fun no more in the world they're plumb miserable by the pot they're miserable I wish to cut tonight we would pray prayers shake my family gods shake our health shake our minds shake our ministries shake our finances huh we've got to shake shake shake shake the devil off that's what's got a grip that the Church of the Living God there's got to be a shaking that the spirits would literally leave and those that are standing who wonder what happened to them oh my god I can't even I can't even get her to respond no more text text a stir I text him what happened to him they're not responding oh no they got a new number well I ain't preached like this in a long time but I feel the Holy Oh some of you need to get a new telephone number some it might do some of you good to get off Facebook you got to destroy the channel through which the enemy has been operating well you know what you do when you do that you're shaking him off I ain't letting a devil come near me I'm not letting the attack of the enemy come nowhere in

let me tell you Samson played the game I said Samson played the game that so many have played I will go out as other times and shake myself this leads us to believe that there was a physical action on Samson's part good lord have mercy that signal the anointing whether he was tied up whether he was tangled up no III don't know all the details other than what the word says but the Bible says that he would go out as other times and shake himself and it was in those times that the anointing would just show up there Nonie ones show up the anointing would come because he shook there's something about when you shake something about when that Holy Ghost starts about right here and ends up about right down here on the bottle that you just can't my god I feel the Holy you know I feel those Holy Ghost doodads going up and down my back there's something about a God revive a shaking in this church God revive us I'm not talking about it in one or two elders I'm talking about in young people I'm talking about in Midland where they would value the power of shaking under the Holy Ghost well I ain't never a minute start asking God god help me to shake help my neck to help my body help my feet help me to do something I've never done before knowing shows up when I shake demons tremble Oh God let there be a shaking oh I'm praying in Pentecost Sunday this way there would be a shaking when Bishop Utley stays behind this pulpit I pray there's a shaking that don't be naive to believe that shaking is all there is to it there are a lot of people who shake and go through the motions but they don't have the fire I'm talking in I'm reaching for people who are sick and tired of just going through the motions going through well I shook a little bit but before you get to your car those demons have already relaxed upon you those demons are already playing games in your mind we can never graduate to the point in the place that we look at the shaking in the dancing and the clapping and the aisle running and the leaping and the jumping yes well that's what the old fashioned kind of coasters used to do that's outdated right now we got to be relevant we've got to be you know I'm not a TEDTalk ER I'm a tone talker I'm not gonna sit up here on the stool and and read you three points in a poem and that's gonna be no no no no I want this church to be known we're an old-fashioned tone talking holy rollin Pentecostal church you may call us outdated you may call us old-fashioned but if it produces the Holy Ghost experience the Holy Ghost fire then God send it on down we want all of the Holy Ghost that Lord baptizes we used to sing that song baptize me with the Holy Ghost I don't know about this is driving me nuts right here waters that are not stirred I come in just better punch that Lord in the name of Jesus send people Lord in the name of Jesus we're gonna baptize somebody and I just begin to pray and walk around this sanctuary I'm asking this church if we've ever prayed we don't need recycled Saints I said I love us all we are you know we're in this - and I believe good people walk in there but God when's the last time I had a rain Center walked through those doors and walk to these altars and lift their hands and begin to pray to God in God literally baptized them with that's what I'm hungry for those that have been through the storms of life and a radically changed in one moment of his presence we can't be satisfied with just a few people come in here and a few people coming over here oh when are we gonna get so hungry that we pradhan send us the most there's no God the people that they may not look like us they may not dress like us they may not smell like us but God they trust you for the victory through the storm oh y'all still with me my god I feel such a heaviness see this stuff keeps me up this stuff gets me up early every morning this stuff right here stirs me when's the last time somebody who repented and prayed through right here we still we still serve a God that enters by fire but where's the sacrifice fire only falls on sacrifices fire don't fall on Md altars fire doesn't fall on empty huh God Paul shook that Viper off into the fire and we need to ask ourselves are we

are we living or we live in close enough to the fire Paul had to get so close to the fire that a Viper came out and attacked him Oh everything's going good right now for me pastor I mean I ain't fight no no you better watch out help when's the last time you've been to the fire because I can promise you if you're praying if you're fasting if you're witnessing there's some attacks going on around you there's some spirits that are angry there's some junk going on around you but let me just ask you to either is there any fire in your car is there any fire in your home is that where's the fire at because I can tell you that consuming fire wants to come in and consume you and consume every spirit wickedness in high places somebody listening to me right now somebody listening the devil has sent something out to try to destroy you but it's not gonna kill you because you know you're turning up the heat the same thing the spirit came out of was the same thing the snake went back into and was destroyed don't you for the very attack that came out of the altar the attack that came out of whatever you're going through that same attack that same battle that's the very thing that big trees got well it looks like a storm right now it looks like hell it looks like chaos it looks like old manner of talk just hang on baby just hang on a little while longer that thing that the enemy sent to you it's gonna be the very thing that produces the victory in your life
