Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The Reading: Aaron's Sacred Garments, Handed Down
- He welcomes the house and those watching online — Bettina home for graduation weekend, Garrett and Dallas in the service — and reminds the fathers that this Sunday is Father's Day.
- He says he loves reading the book of Exodus because it foreshadows the New Testament: tonight's word is a type and shadow of who we are in the body of Christ, drawn from Exodus's instructions concerning the high priests of Israel.
- He reads from the Message translation: take the vestments and dress Aaron in the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod and the breastplate, set the turban on his head with the sacred crown, and pour the anointing oil on his head; then bring his sons, gird them with sashes and set hats on them — their priesthood is upheld by law and is permanent.
- He then gives verse 29 as its own act in the reading: Aaron's sacred garments are to be handed down to his descendants so they can be anointed and ordained in them — it was one thing for Aaron to be anointed, but God wanted something instituted for those who came after him.
- He announces his subject — 'What garment are you handing down?' — and opens in prayer, asking God's anointing on his servant to deliver what the church needs to hear.
Scriptures: Exodus 29:5-9; Exodus 29:29
Hand-Me-Downs: Clothes with Life Still in Them
- Aaron's sacred garments were not just to be worn and not just for his generation — God wanted the descendants who came after him anointed as well.
- He remembers Christmas at his grandmother's, when all his father's siblings and cousins came in: his cousins Brent and Jeremy were younger than him but larger, and when they outgrew their clothes his uncle saved them, so he received almost a whole new wardrobe — hand-me-downs made it like Christmas on steroids.
- He was the smaller one — he got his driver's license at four foot ten and 88 pounds and did not start growing until about the tenth or eleventh grade.
- What he was handed was never worn out: the clothes had been well taken care of, they were just like brand-new, and he got a lot of wear and mileage out of them; reading this text in his daily devotion, he began to think of how blessed he was to have hand-me-downs.
On the Mountain: The Garment Passes Before Aaron Dies
- When Aaron, the first high priest of Israel, was an old man and dying, God spoke to his brother Moses with a strange directive — this was right after the people of Israel journeyed from Kadesh to Mount Hor.
- He reads the directive: take Aaron and his son up the mountain, take Aaron's clothes off and put them on his son — then Aaron will die.
- Before Aaron could ever pass, there was a transfer of the garment, a hand-me-down to his son: God wanted Aaron's son to wear the same exact garment his father wore when he served as high priest.
- God was saying he had called this family and placed a special anointing upon it — this family is not like any other — and Eleazar would receive his father's hand-me-downs and continue in the priestly line his father served in.
Scriptures: Numbers 20:25-26
A Royal Priesthood: That Means Me, That Means My Family
- He turns to the familiar word for the born again: 'Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.'
- Aaron stood in the natural priesthood instituted in the book of Exodus, but when you are born again of the water and the Spirit you have been born into royalty — you are now part of a royal priesthood, a chosen generation.
- That means me, he presses — that means my family, that means my children: we are not like every other family in our subdivision or on our road; we are a priesthood family, called and anointed.
Scriptures: 1 Peter 2:9
What Garment Are You Passing Down?
- He asks the church to think about the garments they put on every day as they go about their daily business — not in the natural, but in the spirit.
- Pausing to be pastor for a few moments on the natural side: even though the weather is getting hot and it is summertime, don't lose your modesty — you still are the temple of the Holy Ghost, and it is okay to cover up what God has blessed you with.
- Then the spiritual inventory: are you passing down a garment of prayer or a garment of bickering — a garment of needing to be right or a garment of striving toward reconciliation — a garment of forgiveness or a garment of bitterness — of kindness or frustration, of faith or worry, of love or resentment?
You Pass Down Only What You Wear, Not What You Profess
- He gives them a word to etch in their spirit and make a note of in their Bible: you will pass to your kids only what you wear — not what you profess.
- We can say we go to Sanctuary Community Church, say we've been baptized in Jesus name, say we've been filled with the Holy Ghost — but it will not pass on with just lip service.
- Our families need to see us wearing the garment of faith and showing forth his praises not just on Sunday morning, but Monday through Saturday: a time of devotion in our homes, a Bible that's been opened sitting by our favorite chair, a Christian book nearby that we've been reading, and our voice heard in prayer every now and again.
What You Wear Is Revealed in the Crisis
- Life happens to us all: the dreaded phone call you never dreamed you would get, papers signed that sever a relationship with someone you once loved, the CT scan that reveals the cancer has not diminished but grown, abusive situations and injustices that only you and God know about.
- That is when what you wear is revealed: what are your children and even their children seeing in moments of crisis — a mom and a dad, a grandma and a grandpa anchored to the rock Christ Jesus, boldly declaring, 'I know my God can heal; I know my God can bring you through'?
- They need to see us modeling the power of faith — seeking God, not falling to pieces when it would be easy to, running to an old-fashioned altar and not to every secular source looking for peace that can only come from the Lord.
It's Never Too Late to Put On a Garment of Faith
- He speaks to those who look back and know they wore a garment of failure many times in front of their family — didn't respond like they should have, said some things they shouldn't have said — and to those who feel like giving up, whose wounds are too deep, who have even contemplated taking their own life.
- He says he has come tonight with a word to pull someone out of a pit of despair and hopelessness: as long as there's breath in your body, it's never too late — there is no family that's perfect and no person that's perfect.
- You can change the course of your life beginning today: take the garment of failure off and put a garment of faith on — the trials, tribulations and diagnosis still there, but a garment of faith that says, 'My God can do it.'
- When the pressure comes, do what the Bible says — when you've done all to stand, stand therefore; it's never wrong to do the right thing. Stand bold and flat-footed and let the devil know you are coming through this valley with hands lifted and heart rejoicing: the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
A Garment of Faith Hungers for Miracles and Witness
- He declares his own want: 'I want to pass down to my children a garment of faith — I'm ready to see some miracles in this house': blind eyes open, cancers dried up at the root, diabetes, heart and blood pressure issues healed — and before a miracle can take place, somebody has got to be sick.
- For the altars to be filled and the waters to be stirred, we've got to have some sinners in the house; he prays that the spirit and garment of a worshiper and a witness would come upon the church.
- When's the last time you put the garment of being a witness on? Get your light out from under the bushel — don't let the Jehovah's Witnesses do more, and don't let the Latter-day Saints be greater witnesses of false doctrine, than the Apostolic church that has the truth.
The Garment of Praise: A Worshipping Church Hands It Down
- He brags on the church: this is a worshipping church — you may not jump as high or run as fast as you used to, but you can still open your mouth and give God praise, and you still have two hands to clap unto the Lord.
- There is a next generation watching, and they will capture what they see; he commissions the elders to start passing down those garments of worship, showing this next generation what it is to worship God.
- God don't ever let this place get sophisticated — this isn't a country club or a spectator gathering, and as the bishop preached a few weeks ago, Pentecost is not a spectator sport: the next generation is going to get a red-hot Apostolic church, not afraid to run the aisles and shout to God with a voice of triumph.
- And don't go home and tell your kid, 'You don't really have to do all of that' — you're killing the next generation, stripping them of a garment handed down to us by the greats who have gone on, like Jenna and Merle Ewing and James Kiehl Garza, who did not put that garment on us for us to wear casually.
Hannah's Garment: It Did Not Get Smaller
- Every year Hannah went to that temple, and every year she carried a garment with her for little Samuel, who was there working in the kingdom, serving before the man of God Eli.
- The Holy Ghost dropped this into his spirit so strong: that garment did not get smaller — every year it kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
- God help us if our garments are getting smaller and our commitments are diminishing — 'we used to believe that but we don't believe that anymore; we used to do this but we don't do it anymore.' The garment ought to be growing as we mature, not shrinking to journals that reflect back on when we used to be on fire for God, used to pray thirty minutes a day, used to witness every week.
Wear Your Garment Well: Somebody's Watching
- Our garments ought to be growing so that when we go up the mountain and God says our hour of departure is at hand, those coming behind us — Josh, Paul Gavin — have a garment to put on; we had better evaluate our priorities: this world is not my home, I'm just passing through.
- Jesus is coming back — it's been preached in this city since 1969 that he is coming, and he hasn't come yet, but he is coming — and if we leave before he comes, we must make sure the garments have been transitioned to somebody else who will rise up and continue in the priesthood; he cannot go to the grave with testimonies and miracles locked up inside of him.
- Wear your garment well — somebody's watching you. His own children may not be living for God now, but when God wakes them up in the middle of the night, he wants them to recognize daddy and mama still wearing that old garment — still praying, still witnessing, still faithful — bumps in the road, disappointments and misunderstandings and all, still wearing a garment worth being passed down.
Devil, You Can't Have My Family: The Closing Charge
- He serves notice on the devil: the enemy can't have my family — wherever they are tonight, on a barstool or anywhere else, they are God's children, dedicated and anointed, and he wakes up every morning saying, 'This could be the day.' He summons every mom and daddy to stand and declare with him: devil, you can't have my home; devil, you can't have my children.
- Wear the right garments: the garment of praise, the garment of holiness, the garment of purity, the garment of supernatural anointing — no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Keep wearing that garment: keep praising even when you don't feel like it, keep being faithful, committed and obedient to the Word of God.
- God is getting ready to restore what has been stolen, what has been lost and what has been trashed — restore homes, restore joy, heal broken relationships, give peace and hope and restore reputation in this house; rise up and say, 'I'm still here.'
- There is no official altar call, but he asks for response as the Spirit of the Lord walks to and fro in the house, calling some to recommit to a garment of anointing and ministry; the capture ends mid-altar-ministry with him praying over a man at the altar in the name of Jesus, and no closing prayer or amen is recorded.

the book of Exodus is I love reading the book of Exodus Exodus because it it gives us many times it's a foreshadowing of things in the New Testament and what I'll preach to you tonight is a type and a shadow of of who we are and what we are in the body of Christ but the book of Exodus offers instructions concerning the high priests of Israel the high priests of Israel and I want us if you have your Bibles Exodus 29 539 and I'm going to read from the message translation and I hope that I don't know if this is the message translation or not but if my words are different than those reading from the message translations then take the vestments and dress Aaron in the tunic the robe of the ephod the ephod and the breastplate on him with the embroidered waist man set the turban on his head and place a sacred place the sacred crown on the turban then take the anointing oil and pour it on his head anointing him then bring his sons everybody say his sons platoon exondia and gird them with sashes both Aaron and his sons and set hats upon him their priesthood is upheld by law and is permanent Sam I say permanent Aaron's sacred garments are to be handed down to the descendants so they and this is verse 29 and I failed to give this to the media team so part of me 8 verse 29 Aaron's sacred garments are to be handed down some I say handed down to his descendants so they can be anointed and ordained in them let me just put it to you this way it was one thing for Aaron to be anointed but there was something that God wanted instituted there was something that the Word of God gives us a clearer picture on that Aaron's sacred garments are handed down to his descendants so that they can be anointed as well
I want to preach to you just for a little just for a little bit tonight what garment are you handing down what garment are you handing now I believe the Lord wants to speak to the very core fabric of our church tonight Lord I ask God that your anointing would be upon your servant tonight help me to deliver what you would have the church to hear Lord we thank you for the night that you have blessed us with and not your lips of clay in Jesus name we pray and everybody say man somebody say it with me what garment are you handing down you may be seated
Aran's sacred garments were not just to be worn they were not just for his generation it was not just for him but it was also for the descendants who would come after him God wanted them anointed as well I remember as a as a child I remember going to my grandmother's and Thanksgiving in Christmastime primarily Christmas I remember the most is all of my father's siblings would come in with my cousins and I had two specific cousins of Brent and Jeremy they were younger than me but I was always I was always smaller than them I would have the unique privilege when they would come for Christmas it was without fail I would get almost a whole new wardrobe and they are called hand-me-downs anybody ever been a beneficiary of hand-me-downs you know it was like Christmas on steroids you not only got gifts but you also got a whole whole wardrobe of clothes to take home with you because I was smaller than them they were larger than me so when they got tired of they're closed my uncle would save them and I would get two you know I would get those hand-me-downs I still remember those those those moments where the clothes were just like brand-new but they grew a little faster than I did hard to believe when I got my dry license I was four foot ten and weight 88 pounds I know that's hard to believe I grew up since then but I didn't start growing until about the 10th 11th grade and it just kind of shot up a little bit there but I still remember those hand-me-downs it made me start thinking about the scripture when I was doing my daily devotion and I began to read this and begin to think of how blessed I was to have hand-me-downs now what was so neat about this I wasn't handed down clothes that had holes in them I did I those hand-me-downs I received I was still remember they were just like brand-new they'd been well taken care of they were deemed that the next person could get a lot of mileage out of those clothes that I had outgrown or they had outgrown I would get a lot of wear and what we call wear and tear out of those hand-me-downs it was nothing was given to me that was wore out or that didn't have life yet living inside of that whatever the shirts or the pants I got a lot of mileage out of hand-me-downs when I when I thought about that and I think about the scripture when Aaron the high priest the first high priests of Israel died something I'm talking about something just leapt off the page I've never preached this I've never read it before today but
according to numbers 20 this was right after the people of Israel journeyed from Kadesh to Mount hor Aaron was an old man by this time and he was dying but God spoke to Moses Aaron's brother and gave him a strange directive and it you'll see it on the screen verse number 25 and 26 take Aaron and his son up the mountain somebody say the mountain take Aaron's clothes off and put them on his son then Aaron will die now I know that doesn't seem like it's gonna register very much right there but before Aaron could ever pass there was a transfer of garment or there was a hand-me-down to his son and I started thinking about what was God trying to what what kind of picture was God trying to give us through this and I couldn't help but get the feeling that God wanted Aaron's son to wear the same exact garment that his father wore when he served as high priests God was simply saying I'm calling this family I have called this family I have placed a special anointing upon this family something is different about this family this family of Aaron is not like any other they are unique and I have a special purpose for them I know that sounds like that you know what what an awesome funeral service you could say that was that Eliezer would get the hand-me-downs of his father and he would continue in that priestly line up or that priesthood that his father served in but what I but but but what I want to bring to you tonight it goes much deeper than just a story lodged into the book of Exodus that we read over real fast but I believe that according to first Peter 2 and not 2 & 9 we find a very familiar meaning that we need to grip in the whole ego so that if you've been born again of the water and the spirit are you thankful to be born again of the water and spirit the Bible says that ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood somebody say that's me a holy nation a peculiar people that ye should show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light I know that Aaron was in the natural priesthood that was instituted in the book of Exodus but when you are born again of the water in spirit you have been born into royalty you now are a part of a royal priesthood you are a chosen generation somebody say that means me that means my family that means my children that means me you got to get this tonight Church we are not like every other family in our subdivision we're not like every other family in your corner side wherever you live whatever road you live home you are a royal priesthood oh yeah we are a priest to a family we are called we are anointed if you believe that say man
but here's where I want to help us tonight I want you to think about the garments you put on every day as you go about your daily business what do you wear I'm not talking about in the natural but let me just be pastor for a few moments I know the weather is getting hot well y'all done got quite on me I know it's summertime but that doesn't mean you just need to wear any old thing out in public don't forget your modesty even in the heat of summer you still are the temple of the Holy Ghost it's okay to cover up what God has blessed you with hallelujah hallelujah don't lose your modesty just because we change seasons at the time of the year I know it's hot out there but remember who you are you're a holy people you're a righteous you're a royal priest to it but I'm not so much talking tonight about what we wear in the physical but I was I was prompted to ask myself and then I'm asking us tonight as a church what kind of garment am i passing down to the next generation are you passing down a garment a piece or a garment of contingent are you passing down a garment a prayer or a garment of bickering a garment of needing to be right or a garment of striving toward reconciliation a garment of forgiveness or a garment of bitterness a garment of kindness or a garment of frustration a garment of faith or a garment of worry a garment of love or a garment of resentment
if you're taking notes this one this right here would be something you need to etch in your spirit put in your Bible make a note of it you will pass to your kids only what you wear not what you profess I'm gonna say that again you will only pass down to your children what you wear not what you profess hmm we can say that we go to the sanctuary community church we can say we've been baptized in Jesus name we can say we've been filled with the Holy Ghost but our families need to see us wearing wearing the garment of faith the garment that would show forth the praises that is due his name not just lip service but wearing the garment of the Spirit becomes a priority not just on Sunday but our families need to see us wearing this garment of faith this garment of the Spirit Monday through Saturday not just on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock come on somebody hallelujah they need to see us they need to know we have a time of devotion in our homes they need to see a Bible that's been open now sometime during the week sitting by your favorite chair where you drink ha ha ha they need to see the Bible open they need to see a book a Christian book that is near that you've been reading you've been studying they need to hear your voice in prayer every now and again letting them know you're wearing a garment worth passing down hallelujah I hate to tell you it will not pass on wood just lip service it will only be passed on as you wear it every day because I'm going to tell you life happens to us all many of you in this room have got that dreaded phone call that you never dreamed you again the meaning that are watching and many in this room right here you never dreamed you would pick up a pen and sign papers that would what would sever a relationship with someone that you one time loved you never dreamed that the CT scan would reveal to you that the cancer had not diminished but it had grown what about that abusive situation you've endured and lived through maybe you've suffered at the end justices that only you and God know about that's when what you wear is revealed you've got to think tonight what am i passing down to my family what am i passing down to my children and even their children what are they seeing during moments of crisis are they seeing a mom and a dad are they seeing a grandma and a grandpa that is anchored to the rock Christ Jesus and they boldly declare I know my God can heal I know my God can't bring you through no matter what you're going through they need to hear and see us Modelling the power of faith I said they need to see us Modelling the power of faith but how by watching us seek God by watching us not fall to pieces when it would be easy to fall to pieces when the calls come when they when the adversity shows up when the unknown happens they need to see us running to an old-fashioned altar and not running to every secular piece of information or source looking for peace that can only come from the Lord hallelujah hallelujah
if you're hearing me tonight you're watching this by Web tonight a little book I shut down we all have went through seeds we're not too happy about the garment we're wearing don't be discouraged maybe you hadn't always responded like you should have responded some of you sit here tonight and you look and you realize and you identify I wore a garment of failure many times in front of my family I didn't respond like I should have responded years ago I said some things I shouldn't have said and you know I wasn't wearing a garment that would be something I would want my kids to wear some of you sit here on a Wednesday night you feel like giving up it took all you could do to get in your vehicle and come to church tonight you feel like giving up you might even think you've messed up too you've gone too far you might even think that what's the use of even trying I don't even really feel like continuing on the wounds are too deep I'm so frustrated I don't think I even have a purpose nobody even wants me around and some of you have even contemplated taking your own life your situations have spun so far out of control and you feel like you're the only one going through what you're going through but I've come tonight with a word to pull you out of a pit of despair I've got a garment of faith on me tonight I've had it on me all all day long I said God when I step into this pulpit I want to bring someone with me out of the pit of despair the the pit of hopelessness I've come to speak a word into you it's never too late as long as there's breath in your body as long as there's breath in your body it's never too late can I just tell you tonight every family there is no family said like there's no family that's perfect no person is perfect you can change the course of your life beginning today you can turn the tide you can wake up and say I've taken this garment of failure off and I'm putting a garment of faith oh my I'm getting out of the mullah grub's I'm getting out of the despondency and I'm deciding I'm putting a new garment oh yes the trials yes the tribulations are there but put a garment of faith on yes the unknowns yes the diagnosis is there but I'm going to put a garment of faith on that says my God can do it to him there's nothing to it when you're wearing a garment of faith yeah when the pressure does come the pressure that you never dreamed or imagined would come you can do what the Bible says when you've done all to stand stand therefore when you've done all when temptation comes knocking at the door stand when the answers that you need are so far removed so it's never wrong to do the right thing I said it's never wrong to do the right thing you just gotta stand bold flat-footed and let that devil know I've got a garment of faith I own and I will come through this I'm coming through this valley but I'm not only coming through this valley I'm coming through with my hands lifted with my heart rejoicing because I know it's the right thing to do it's the garment I need to be wearing on a Wednesday night it's the garment of praise hallelujah for the spirit of heaviness
oh I don't know about you but I want to pass down to my children a garment of faith I'm ready to see some miracles in this house I said I'm ready to see some miracles and I'm ready to see some blind eyes open I'm ready to see some cancers I dry up at the root I'm ready to see sugar diabetes heal the heart blood pressure issues all manner of maladies I know somebody's got to get sick I said I know before a miracle can take place somebody's got to get sick but God I'm so hungry for a demonstration of the Holy Ghost that God is he's been wearing me out I'm ready to see God feel somebody with the Holy Ghost I'm ready to see these waters stirred up but for the altars to be filled and the waters to be stirred we got to have some sinners in the house I'm praying tonight that the spirit and the garment of a worshiper and a witness would come upon you don't ever forget he has called you to be a witness when's the last time you put the garment of being a witness on hallelujah it's time to get your your light out from under the bushel and say you know what I'm gonna put the garment of a witness upon me don't let the Jehovah Witness do more than the Apostolic Church can do don't let the Latter day Saints be a greater witness of false doctrine that you got the truth
what garment are we passing down what Garmin are we placing upon the next generation god help us and I want to come in you I wanna I want to brag on you as a church it drives me nuts and we ain't had none in so many in so many months even after Kovach before Colvin I'm so thankful for you this is a worship in church I said this is a worship in church you may not can jump as high as you used to you may not can run as fast as you - but you can still open up that mouth and give God praise you still got two hands on your body yet and you can clap your hands under the Lord I said there's a next generation watching you and they need to see the garment of praise in action they need to see the garment of a worshiper and what it means to worship and I know in your physical bodies you think you can't run but when you feel that old Holy Ghost come on you and you feel like you can run through a tree and run through a troop and leap over a wall you need to obey and listen to the word you don't know what this next generation is witnessing and they will capture they will touch what you're doing and say if they do it I can do this hallelujah hallelujah I'm commissioning you elders start passing down those those garments of worship to this next generation start showing this next generation what it is to worship God God don't ever let this place get so sophisticated I don't even need this this ain't a Country Club this isn't where the who's who of America gather and we sit in we spectator and we heard the bishop preach just a few few weeks ago that Pentecost is not a spectator sport but we cannot reside and we just loll away and just a little pattycake 40 that's not the garment that was handed down to you and I refuse to hand that garment down to the next generation they wanted they're going to get a red-hot Apostolic Church that's still not afraid to run the aisles they're going to get an apostolic church that's not afraid to spin to their feet their hands shouting to God with a voice of triumph that's what we've got a hand down we've got a hand that down to the next generation our children should never look at us and say I wonder why that mom and dad worship and my mom and dad don't worship I wonder why they worshipping my mom and dad don't worship I wonder why my mom and dad aren't faithful to the I wonder why my mom and dad hadn't bought into the revival that pastors preaching don't preach a different message than what's coming across this pulpit
don't go home and tell your kid well you don't really have to do all of that little Suzy you really don't have to do that God what you're doing is you're killing the next generation you're silencing the voice you're stripping them of a garment that was handed to us after generation that the likes of JT 2 and G amen Jenna and Merle Ewing and all of the Great's that have gone on the James Kiehl Garza have handed us a garment they handed us a carpet and they did not put that garment on us for us to wear casually they didn't put that Carmen upon us just to wear any or way no no no no no I believe in this hour in this day that we are living in that they are expecting us to pursue the love that was once delivered to the Saints I know we're in a different age I know we're in a different season but let me just tell you what the Holy Ghost dropped into my spirit every year Hannah went to that temple every year Hannah went to that temple and when she went to that temple she cared a garment with her she went to that temple and little Samuel was there working in the kingdom working before the man of God Eli serving at his command but every year she would take a guard for him and the Holy Ghost dropped this in my spirit so strong is that garment horrible Cassata that garment did not get smaller I said that garment did not get smaller every year but that garment kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger god help us if our garments are getting smaller our commitments are diminishing our garments from gear to gear are getting smaller what we used to believe that but we don't believe that anymore we used to do this but we don't do it anymore god help our garments to fit who we are and grow in stature we all not be wearing the same size garment when we first got in the church sister Kendall that garment ought to be bigger it ought to be growing we ought to be maturing and that Carmon oughta be getting bigger each and every year god help us if we're writing journals and we're reflecting back what I used to be on fire for God I used to pray 30 minutes a day I used to witness every week god help us if in 2020 our garments have gotten smaller
our garments ought to be growing so that when we pass them garments down when we get ready to go up to the mountain and God says your hour of departure is at hand for them Josh better have a garment Josh better have a garment to put on when you take your last breath the Paul Gavin better have a karma to put on we better start looking at our garments we better start evaluating our priorities and we better start saying this world is not my home I'm just passing through I don't know how much longer we got I want to believe that it won't be long but every generation has said it won't be long but Paul you preached it since 1969 in this in this city Jesus is coming back but he ain't come back in but he is coming back but if we leave sister Martha before he comes we better make sure that the garments have been handed in transitioned to somebody else that'll rise up and take our place rise up and continue in the priesthood of the Almighty caller I want this garment passed down I cannot go to the grave with what God's done in my life I can't go to the grave with testimonies and miracles locked up inside of me but I've got to get them into the next generation I've come to instruct every man and every lady wear your garment well somebody's watching you
I said somebody's watching you you may have way were children right now I is one but don't you ever for one moment think that gives me the right or permissions as they down my garment they may not be living for God now but when God wakes them up in the middle of the night I want them to be able to recognize daddy I want them to be able to recognize mama still wearing that old garment still praying like we always prayed still witness and like we you'll being faithful I never want my son to ever wake up and wonder I wonder if daddy's gonna be a church home Sunday I don't ever want my children to ever wake up I wonder what mama and daddy's doing today I want them to know they're still living for God yeah there been some bumps in the road yes there's been some disappointments yes there's been some misunderstandings yes it hadn't been perfect but they're still wearing a garment worth being passed down I've just come set to serve notice on the devil just for a few moments the enemy can't have my family I don't care where they're at right now I don't care what they're doing they may be you know they may be on a barstool they may be in a whorehouse but it don't matter where they are tonight devil you can't have them I said they're God's children they've been dedicated I walked down that aisle and I anointed and I prayed the prayer of faith they've been anointed they've been dedicated yeah they may not be doing everything they ordered to LA but I still wake up every morning and I say this could be the day devil you can't have my children you will not take them to hell with you to burn in everlasting everlasting I wish a mom and a daddy would stain to their feet right now and declare with me devil you can't have my home devil you can't have my children I've come to summons the people of God tonight and try my best to get you to wear the right garments
