Monday Night Revival 9/20/2021

if you would be so kind tonight i would like to direct our attention to second corinthians chapter 5 verse 1 verse 17. i want to share with you what i feel even as this praise team has sung so beautifully this is what this is what it's all about right here one of my very favorite scriptures in the new testament and the word of god declares unto us therefore if any man be in christ folks i'm telling somebody if this don't make you shout you didn't get what i got therefore if any man be in christ he is a new creature old things are passed away and behold all things are become new

from the very bottom of our hearts let's lift up our hands and thank god for what he has done for us god i want to thank you one more time for your goodness your mercy god i don't know where i'd be tonight had it not been for mercy and grace but i thank you that i'm in your presence on a monday night lifting up your name and praising you for what you've done for me let's go ahead and clap our hands and thank god for his love unto us you may be seated if you promise you won't stay there

if any man be in christ he is a new creature i would ask us here tonight have we got any testimonies here or what i said have we got any testimonies in this house tonight according to this verse of what god has done for you and i i don't know who you are don't know me i don't know exactly what you may need but i do know that christ has come here to supply that for there is nothing too hard for the god that we serve

i remember a few years ago there were two brothers their name was terry and rusty they came to a revival where god was moving in a great and a mighty way both men were raised in the apostolic church their dad had pastored them sometime during their teenage years but it just so happened that whenever they got up and out of the house they went their own ways and began to live a life that was very displeasing unto god in fact both of these boys they turned out to be alcoholics

uh their lives were bound their lives were being turned upside down by that old alcohol that had them bound i don't know how you may be like these two boys you may have grown up around this truth and it may be that you've never heard of this before but i come to tell you that in christ you can become a new creature in christ you can be set free from the addictions of alcohol and drugs and nicotine and an immoral lifestyle if you let him they showed up in revival both of them both of them alcoholics

but on that night when the preacher got through preaching they both hit the altar uh come on i want you to know that god met him at that altar he met them in the condition they were in may i tell you that

on that night both of those boys prayed both of those boys sought god terry got up and was delivered by the power of god filled with the holy ghost and tonight he's still living for god and walking on the street and narrow way why because if any man be in christ he is a new creature and that is what god has come to do in this house tonight terry was filled delivered forever set free

rusty his brother came he prayed right there alongside of him but he was unwilling to give it all to god he got up walked out didn't come back and tonight his dad will tell you he's just a sight drunk two boys in the same revival in the same presence of god one of them delivered folks i'm telling somebody this works you know why i preach this gospel i i know it works i said i know it works i can preach it because it is self-sufficient

within itself i wonder what would happen around here tonight if we could get everybody to surrender to the will and the purpose of god there wouldn't be one of us that would walk out of here bound there wouldn't be one of us that would go home the same way that we came romans chapter 6 verse begins to explain unto us know you not that to whom you yield yourself servants to

obey don't blame it all on the devil that's a cop-out the devil you want to finish it well i heard somebody wants to rescue you first of you don't know how many folks say the devil just no know you not that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey whoa you are a servant to that which

you obey his servants you are to whom you obey whither of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness the thief cometh not but to kill steal and to destroy but jesus said i am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly on this monday night god has walked in here to set the captive free to bind up the brokenhearted he's walked in here to open the prison door and unshackled those that are bound

but god be thanked verse 17 that ye were past tense the servants of sin but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you and it delivered me being then made free from sin now he became the servants of righteousness i'm telling somebody i'm a child of the king i've been washed in his royal blood and he has cleansed me from the inside out

first corinthians chapter 6 verse 9 know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of god can i read that again no you not the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of god be not deceived neither fornicators man don't get mad at me i didn't write the book fornicators i listen here young people you can live above sin let me just tell our young people the sooner you learn to say no the better off you're going to be well my god where's my mom and dad's hat neither fornicators

i guess i've been going that ain't popular nor idolaters anything you put above god is an idol oh this ain't to you all here tonight that's sitting on the pew but if you love him he'll be here on monday night revival because anything i put above god is an idol

come on somebody i'm here tonight because i love him come on somebody brother keith i i heard there was a time in your life when you had a job outside of the town now but you made sure you were here every wednesday night is that correct well you can at least jump up and say hey man i mean don't did you know me and him is the same age and doesn't he look a lot older than me come on clap your hands come on whoa why because there's something about i got to be in the house of god

i love him i adore him i want to be in his presence he's my lord he's my god come on somebody i don't want anything above god in my life nor adulterers nor anybody in this house don't know what that means raise your hand huh i'm talking to the married folk now if you've got some other sweetie on the side it ain't gonna work cause i come to tell somebody whenever you got married now you made some vows before the preacher and god and that companion that you was gonna be faithful

i i'm preaching to somebody if you've been a committing adultery it's time to get in this altar tonight and it's time to say my god i need help hear me somebody you'll never get by by covering up your sin god i was somebody that helped me preach here i said you'll never get by by covering up your sin nor effeminate god if i preach all these things here tonight feminine i have no understanding why a man wouldn't want to be a woman and i have no understanding why a woman would want to be a man

well let me just settle that you can't do it anyway you can walk around with your life all messed up but i come to tell somebody that god made us who we are and it's time that we as men now that we man up and it's time that we as women be thankful for the calling that god has placed upon our lives somebody help me preach here you probably ain't going to hear this in the nominal church but you're going to hear it if you want to be free if you want to be delivered come on somebody

we need to get sin under the blood tonight nor abusers of themselves with mankind let me just settle it like this i ain't never seen a good-looking man if you ladies have seen a good looking woman and such for some of us but thank god i'm not what i used to be because if any man be in christ he is a new creature all things are past god some of us ought to get on our tiptoes and thank god we're not what we used to be nor thieves or covetous nor drunkards or revilers or extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of god

such were some of you but you're washed but you're washed you're sanctified you're justified in the name of the lord jesus and by the spirit of our god i'm telling somebody how when i went down in his name and i was washed in the blood i was changed from the inside out and if you don't know him oh i'm telling somebody it's time to find an altar and before this service is over you can have your sins washed away and be filled with a holy god some time

back there was there's a woman from the state of ohio she said i had been witnessing to my my co-worker for for several years invited her to church tried to get her to come and she'd always say yeah i'll come i'll be there almost to the point you sometimes wonder should i ask again she

said we was having revival services friday saturday and sunday and i went up to her again and said we have revival starting friday through sunday i'd sure like for you to come said she nodded her head and looked at me she said friday night as i was headed out from the from the workplace to my vehicle she came up to me and said service starts tonight she said i looked there and said yeah she said i can't make it tonight i really can't but i'll be there tomorrow night

and she said i sensed something in her spirit that was different she said and on saturday night good to her word she walked in she said i didn't know it but her and her husband were divorcing and going through a very turbulent time she said on that saturday night the power of god filled that place and that woman ran to the altar and repented of her sins i won't tell somebody the load you're carrying you don't have to carry no more i said the load you're carrying you don't have to carry it past tonight

she repented of her sins they told her to get baptized she said well why not in fact i want to ask some of you folks my god we we got meth heads that'll put acid in your body and it won't give jesus a chance what do you got to lose tonight and when they brought her up out of the water she was talking in other tongues as god filled her with the baptism of a holy ghost i got this good preaching my god it ought to be i'm telling somebody and she went home that night

her and her husband was still in the same house even with divorce paper served and she said i walked into that house and he was in the living room watching tv she said the only thing i'd learned that night was one scripture has only one i knew and i went in there where he was at while he was watching tv and said acts 2 38 says then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sins and she said about that time he jumped up and ran into the kitchen

so i follow him into the kitchen he's sitting on a bar stool and i said then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus and he jumped up and ran back to the living room she said i just followed him back in there and said then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive

and he stood up and said what i've got to do to get you to shut up she said would you promise to go to church with me in the morning he said if you'll shut up and leave me alone yeah i'll go to church in the morning

she said i went to my bedroom he went to his i got up sunday morning got ready for church and when i walked out in the living room he had on a pair of dress pants and a shirt she said where are you going oh that's faith ain't it don't some of you laugh you've been in this 40 years and still don't believe him she said we went to church that sunday morning and by the time that service was over he was in the altar and he repented of his sins he repented of his sins

you know what was taking place god was working for if any man be in christ come on somebody i'm telling you what i got changed me if you didn't get something that changed you you didn't get what i got i'm preaching to somebody this will change yeah from the inside out that which i used to do

i don't do no more the things i used to like i don't god i was somebody to help me preach here tonight said we went what are you doing my god take that gum from her before she gets it in her hair is that destiny's baby you got yourself in this i don't think you want to argue anymore now so after sunday skill they went home not much was said she got ready to go got in the living room he was dressed up if you try this you'll like it yeah he went back that night

he got back in the altar and he said i got to be baptized and god when he went down in jesus name and came up he was filled with the holy ghost i still believe with all my heart there isn't anything that two holy ghosts feel people can't work their way through and past if they'll let god be the sinner of their lives whoa somebody help me here oh but you can't continue to cover it up and think you'll get by so at least so at least they went home that night both had the holy ghost

she got up next morning went to work he got up next morning he went to work when she got home he had done beat her home and was sitting in the living room in his recliner reading the paper she said i i went over where he was

and stood in front of that chair and he's reading the paper and he didn't acknowledge that i was there i won't tell you ladies we're not nearly as dumb as what you think we are at times if we're ignoring you it may be intentional come on she finally tapped the paper and he let it down she looked him in the eye and said what are we going to do

i'm asking somebody here tonight what are you going to do because you've got the answer tonight he said i've already called the lawyer and told him to tear up the papers send my bill i'll pay what i owe you but we gonna make this work because we got god in the middle of this and i come to tell somebody there isn't anything that my god can't do come on somebody

for all through the word of god i find impossibilities but what is impossible unto god somebody tell me what is impossible you know what god called him to preach and god has used him mightily in a prison folks i'm telling somebody if any man be in christ he is a new creature

would you lift up your hands and love him hi ha ha come on somebody i don't know what the needs are in this house tonight but i have come to tell somebody that god has walked in to turn some lives around he's come to put some families back together he's walked in to show you and to prove to you that if any man be in christ he is a new creature

let's stand our feet and lift up our hands and love him somebody needs to get out from behind that pew i may need some couples to get out from behind that pew come on take them by the hand and say we're going to put god in the center of our lives our marriage is worth fighting for

come on somebody my god if you're bound here tonight what are you waiting on you know i challenge somebody to make your way to this altar and give it all to god here tonight from the youngest to the oldest come on are some folks that need to come and pray tonight a new creature come on don't allow the enemy to destroy your life don't allow him to destroy your mind again come on

church family come and help me pray now if you've got the holy ghost don't you stand around come and help me pray tonight come on saints of god god didn't fill us with the holy ghost first to keep it towards me
