Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Attune Your Ears: God Delights to Speak

  • Seven times in Revelation the call goes out, "He that hath an ear, let him hear" — God is speaking, and the question is whether we are listening.
  • God does not speak reluctantly; he delights to speak to his people.
  • The sermon calls the hearers to attune their ears to heaven rather than to the noise around them.

Scriptures: Revelation (book-only, as spoken)

Abram Refuses Sodom's Spoils

  • In Genesis 14 Abram rescues Lot and defeats the kings, and the king of Sodom offers him the spoils of the victory.
  • Abram refuses, having lifted up his hand to the Lord, the most high God (Genesis 14:22-24), so that Sodom could never say it had made Abram rich.
  • Righteousness is defined not as perfection but as doing right: Abram was imperfect, yet he did the right thing.

Scriptures: Genesis 14; Genesis 14:22-24

"Look Now Toward Heaven"

  • Afterward the word of the Lord comes to Abram: "Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward" (Genesis 15:1).
  • Abram is plain and transparent with God about his childlessness: he has no heir but a steward of his house.
  • God brings him outside and tells him to look toward heaven and tell the stars: so shall his seed be — more than Abram asked for.

Scriptures: Genesis 15:1

The Accuser Wears Down the Saints

  • The accuser of the brethren works by delay and discouragement, wearing out the saints until they stop looking up.
  • Discouragement is treated as a strategy of the enemy, not merely a mood to be waited out.

"Look Up: Your Redemption Draweth Nigh"

  • Jesus, describing the signs of the end and men's hearts failing them for fear, commands his people in Luke to look up and lift up their heads, for their redemption draws nigh.
  • Jesus himself modeled the posture: when he prayed, he lifted up his eyes to heaven (John 17:1).

Scriptures: Luke (book-only, as spoken); John 17:1

Open His Eyes, Lord

  • At Dothan, Elisha prays for his frightened servant, "LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see" (2 Kings 6:17), and the young man sees the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire.
  • The psalmist lifts his eyes unto the hills (Psalms 121:1), and his help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth — God's own credentials for being trusted.

Scriptures: 2 Kings 6:17; Psalms 121:1

Neither Do I Condemn Thee

  • The woman caught in adultery (John 8:1) is dragged in by religious men whose posture pushes heads down in shame.
  • Jesus stoops, then lifts himself up, so that the woman must look up; he sends her away with no condemnation.

Scriptures: John 8:1

The Lifter Up of My Head

  • The preacher testifies of a hard year in his own life when he could no longer lift his head.
  • God spoke Psalms 3:3 to him: "thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head."
  • The sermon closes with an altar call to cry out to the God who lifts heads.

Scriptures: Psalms 3:3

Amen. I'm going to just talk for a minute before I read my opening text. Seven times in the book of Revelation, you can find this statement. Says, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the church." And there is a voice that is coming out from heaven in the end time. And so, our job as the people of God is not to guess if there is a voice coming, but our job is to attune our ears to be able to hear what the Spirit is speaking unto the churches of the living God. When Jesus was in his great temptation moment, and he was in that discourse with Satan, and Jesus said this statement. He said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. And I want the people of God to know this morning that it is his divine will to speak to you.

It is God's design. It is his desire. It it it nothing pleases him more than to speak to his people. And it was 2 weeks ago, uh we were here during worship service. I preached out last week, but it was 2 weeks ago during worship service in my place of worship over there, the Lord downloaded this word to me in just a moment, just every point except one point that I'm going to make today. He gave to me in a moment right over there, and he said, "Taylor, I want you to speak this word to my people." And so, I just want you to be assured this morning that God has a word for you. And it has nothing to do with any man that's in the pulpit. It's about the love of of a savior oh so divine. It's about his grace and his mercy that comes and looks for us.

Oh, and I am just so thankful. We'll take our story today to Genesis chapter 14 and we're reading about the happenings of Abram and his old knuckleheaded nephew Lot. And it just seemed like Lot was always in a lot of trouble. And I don't know why Uncle Abraham, you know, he was Uncle Abraham before he was Father Abraham. But I don't know why Uncle Abram had to go and had to keep messing around with with with Lot, but I guess it was just his lot in life, Lyle. And it's just just his lot. Look, I dabble in dad jokes, all right? Just his lot in life. The king of Sodom had come into Gomorrah, they had come together and they ransacked the city, they took all of these things, and one of the things that they had taken was Abram's nephew Lot. And so word reaches Abram's camp that hey, they've taken Lot again.

And Abram just I'm sure takes in a deep breath and the Bible says he gets about 300 or so of his men that were born in his house and he says, "Let's go Let's go get them back." And I believe, if I if I remember correctly, this is the only battle that you'll ever see Abram that he actually fought was this this battle here. So, he goes he gets Abram or he gets Lot, excuse me, and he brings him back, brings him home safe. And at the end of the 14th chapter, the king of Sodom comes and he begins to have a discourse with Abram. And this is what what we can see at the end of this discourse in Genesis chapter 14 verses 22 through 24. It says, "And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take from a thread even to a shoe latchet, and that I will not take anything that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich."

This was Abram telling the king of Sodom, the king of Sodom came and said, "Hey, give us our stuff back. Uh you can keep some stuff for your men, uh but but give us some of our stuff back." And Abram said, "No." He said, "I'm not interested in keeping any of your things. I'm not interested in keeping anything that you uh that we've taken from you. I'm going to give it all back because I don't want you to be able to say that you were the cause of my prosperity. You're not going to take the credit for what God's done in my life. So, by the way, take it all back. And if you've got any enemies in your life, let me tell you a good strategy. Just give them back everything that they stole because you've got a God who's on your side." And so, this is the end of chapter 14.

And this picture that we get of Abram in this moment is that before there was a written law, before there was synagogue in the traditional ways it would unfold over the years, before there was uh really many written words about Jehovah and moral law and moral code, before there was any of that, Abram was just a good man. Abram was just a good guy. He just operated. He behaved. He acted in a way that pleased the Lord. And then he was righteous. He just did things the right way. And let me tell you something. If you do things the right way in your life, and you try to live a way I'm not talking about living perfectly. Being righteous is not being perfect. Being righteous is trying to act right even in spite of my imperfection. It's when I'm imperfect, I still want to try to do my best to do what's right by you and to do what's right by somebody else.

And And if you'll try to strive to live a righteous life, it won't be long before you'll have the testimony of Genesis 15 and 1. After these things, after he had lived righteously, after he had done those things that he knew to do, the word of the Lord came. Hallelujah. Oh my God, I love it when the Bible says the word of the Lord came. The word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, "Fear not, Abram. I am thy shield. And you gave back all of those spoils. You gave back all of those things that could have been yours. And guess what? You've been behaving righteously, and so I am thy exceeding great reward." And I don't know how long Abram had struggled. I don't know how long, per se. We We know, if you know how the story unfolds, we know the time of of their age when they begin to think about bearing children.

But But I I can't tell you all of the days that Abram had this struggle in his spirit and this struggle in his mind. And And And And And a narrative that had question marks. And And there were dots that were not that were not lining up. There were T's that were not being crossed. And And this weighed No doubt this had to weigh in Abram's mind, in Abram's spirit. And I will tell you today that every single person, from this person right here in the pulpit to every person in this pew, you have something in your narrative with a question mark. And And there's something that hasn't always lined up. And there there's something that maybe weighs in your spirit. And Abram was here in this moment, and he was going to take an opportunity when he had a visitation from the Lord.

And Abram said, "Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless? And the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus." And Abram said, "Behold, to me thou hast given no children. And lo, one born in my house is mine heir. I've only have this servant. This is This is the only person that's going to inherit everything that we've built together, God." And by the way, if we will be raw, and we will be transparent with the Lord, I have found one of the best ways to hear the voice of God is just to speak plainly about to him about where I'm at. It's just to speak plainly to him. Just say it in pure, perfect English. God, this is what I'm struggling with. Oh, and the grace of God. Verse 4. And behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, "This This servant is not going to be your heir, but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir."

He gave him a promise. And then, in verse 5, he brought him to a place. And this was the word of the Lord to Abram. He said, "Look now toward heaven. Abram, if you want to understand what I'm trying to do in your life, Abram, if you want to try to make sense of everything that's going on around you, Abram, If you want to make these dots line up, if you want to make these tees cross, you can't look at the things of the earth to understand the supernatural plans that I have for your life. If you want to understand my will and my purpose in your life, you have to look now toward heaven. And I've come with a mandate from the Holy Ghost to tell the people of God this morning that you need to look NOW TOWARD HEAVEN. SEE, ABRAM, you've got to understand if you're going to see the manifestation of the orchestration of my hands.

If you're going to see the way a divine, all-powerful God operates, my ways are not your ways. Abram, you've got to understand my thoughts WILL NEVER BE YOUR THOUGHTS. AND THE WAY THAT YOU MAKE and the plans THAT YOU MAKE, I CAN'T align to those plans. But Abram, if you'll look now to those stars up in the sky, Abram, I know you just wanted a singular heir. I know you were just asking me for one, but hear the voice of the Lord. I am the God that is exceeding and abundantly ABOVE ALL THAT YOU COULD ASK OR THINK. AND YOU WERE ASKING FOR ONE, ABRAM, BUT I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU SO MANY. I'm going to give you the stars. Count them, Abram. Can you count THEM, ABRAM? IF YOU CAN COUNT THEM, THEN YOU BE GOD. But since you can't count them, I'll be God.

And that's what I'm going to do in your life. There is a concerted assault from hell against the church in these last days. The accuser of the brethren, if you want to know what the enemy's job in the last days is, is if he can't defeat you, he'll discourage you. >> >> And the Bible says that he's the accuser of the brethren, and his job and his mandate in the last days is to wear out the saints. And so life comes, and days come, and unfulfilled promises come and they go. And days that you thought you were going to live in victory, they come and the victory didn't happen the way that you understood it. And the passage of time begins to wear out the people of God. And that's where the accuser of the brethren will get in our ear, and he'll begin to whisper, "It's because you behaved this way.

It's because this is where you came from. See, it's because your family wasn't aligned to that family. It's because you weren't born and raised in an apostolic church." Oh, that's garbage. It's because of all of this other stuff, and he'll begin to accuse you to the place where you stop looking towards heaven. He'll wear your head out to where when the worship songs begin to play, you lack to find the strength to raise up your hands >> >> and to raise up your eyes and to look now toward heaven. But if I read the word of God correctly, I still believe that in all of hell's efforts, it still will not prevail against THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD. I hit it easier. And this one's plastic anyway. My wife told me stop hitting pulpits so hard.

She said, "You're going to break one one day." I said, "Good, man, it needs to break." >> >> All of these branches, all of these voices that come from hell, they are all just branches from the tree of the spirit of the antichrist, and it is not God's will that his church would be uninformed about what's happening around the world today. And I'm telling you it's worse now than it's ever been before. If Abraham was discouraged, and he had no news media outlet, and Abraham was discouraged, and there were no news headers blowing up on his phone, and and driving down the road and seeing gas at $7 a gallon, and looking at interest rates, and and looking at all of these things, and we get discouraged, AND AND I'M NOT seeing that in my life, AND I'M NOT SEEING THAT IN THE CHURCH.

And we look in the natural, AND WE GET TO A PLACE WHERE WE STOP LOOKING. >> [panting and sighs] >> We stop looking towards heaven. So, God gave us this word. He said to look >> >> now. Now, to look towards heaven. And you cannot see in the natural. You have got to ask the Lord to get you to a place when it's all not lining up in the flesh, and it's not all lining up in a pretty storybook fairytale kind of way. You've got to say, "God, I need you to back me up a few pages from this story, and I need you to let me see from heaven's point of view what you're trying to do in my life." Jesus spoke of this. In Luke, he was talking about the end times and things that were to come. He said, "And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars, and upon the earth distress.

Distress. Perplexity. The sea and the waves roaring. Noise. Noise everywhere. Can't Can't concentrate on anything. Can't focus on anything. CAN'T SIT DOWN TO READ MY BIBLE. I CAN'T I CAN'T SILENCE THE VOICES TO BE ABLE TO PRAY AND HEAR THE VOICE of God. It's roaring. And all of this distress and perplexity and noise, it's it's going to cause men's hearts to fail. THEY'RE GOING TO BE FEARFUL. And he says, because they're looking after those things that are coming on the earth. Church, we cannot operate in a way like everybody else around us. I'm not trying to segregate us from other people. I'm certainly not trying to elevate us per se from other people, but I'm telling you the way that my co-workers see the world unfolding and the way that I as a church of the living God member see the world unfolding, they have TO BE TWO DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES.

IF I see the world the same way that the lost and the broken see the world, if the blind leads the blind, WELL, THEY'RE BOTH GOING TO FALL IN THE DITCH. I'VE GOT TO HAVE A VIEW OF HEAVEN SO I CAN SAVE THIS WORLD AROUND ME. WELL, what do we do, Jesus? What do we do? It's bad, Jesus. We're not making this stuff up. Are you kidding me? You read this stuff that goes on and and oh my God, I can't even I can't even look at the news sometimes to see these stories and these ARTICLES ABOUT THE HORRIBLE THINGS THAT MEN ARE DOING. It's horrible. So, WHAT DO I DO? HE SAYS, VERSE 28, "And when these things When these things begin to come to pass, THEN LOOK UP. LOOK UP AND LIFT UP YOUR HEADS UP FOR YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH." >> >> Redemption was the closest to being purchased when Jesus was at the point of death.

When he was taking his last breaths on that cross, is when it looked like it was about to all be over, but in God's economy, it was all just about to begin. And I had this at the end of my my notes here. But the Bible says this, Ah, let's just go to it. The Bible says this, In John 17:1, it says, "These words spake Jesus, and he lifted up his eyes to heaven." Jesus, in the point of his crucifixion, in the point of his pain, in the point of his distress, when he was having a struggle to breathe, when his he was losing vision, when all of the blood was draining from his body and he felt like he had no fight left, there was something in the DNA of Jesus that he knew to look up towards heaven. To look now towards heaven. Elisha and his servant, they were in that place of of of Dothan, and it's quite the quite the humorous story, but this king the king of Syria, he kept trying to come against the the children of Israel.

And he kept coming. And he the king of Syria would say, "Hey, I want you to go to X." And so Elisha being the prophet of God and hearing what saith the voice of the Lord to the church, he would say, "Hey, king of Israel, he's sending his army to X, so we better get to Y, you know?" And then the king of Syria would come again and say, "Hey, let's go to Y." And and Elisha would awake in the middle of the night and he would go to the king and say, "Hey, we better move on to Z because here comes the Assyrians." And the Assyrian king, he gets so angry. He goes to his cabinet, his war cabinet, and he I I got I you know, the Bible didn't say this, but I you know, he's got a sword drawn and he's like, "Who in here is a traitor against me? Who keeps telling them exactly what my plans are?

Who keeps unfolding exactly what I want to do?" And they said, "Oh, no, no, king, there's nobody that's betraying you in here, but they've got a prophet in their midst." They've got someone that's attuned. >> >> They've got someone that even when we try to come IN TO STEAL AND TO KILL AND DESTROY, THEY'VE GOT THEIR EAR TOWARD HEAVEN. KING AND HE tells them, he tells them exactly where we're going to go. Yeah, all right, I'm a king. Let me operate in the arm of my flesh here. Let get all of our armies, get all of our horses, get all of our chariots. I want you to go down to Dothan, that's where they're at, and I want you to completely surround them. I'm telling you when they wake up in the morning, I want your shields to be locked in a formation to where it looks like there's no way out.

I want your spears to stand tall and I want the captains of the ARMY TO STAND READY. And the servant wakes up, poor guy. Wiping his eyes. Eating some porridge by the fire. Puts the window to the tent open. He's going to get in that, you know, fresh morning air. Bless his heart. >> >> Hope you had an extra pair of underwear in that tent. Boy, that servant looks out and all he can see shield, spears, soldiers, people that have trained their whole life to kill people just like him. Elisha, we're in big trouble here. I know we've seen God do a lot. He's brought us through a lot, but I'm telling you Elisha, we've probably met our match on this one. How are we going TO DO IT? WHAT? GIVE ME THE details of how we're going to defeat this army.

Give Give me THE DETAILS OF HOW WE'RE GOING to overthrow these spears and OVERTHROW THESE SHIELDS. LET ME KNOW HOW IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. AND THE MAN OF GOD SAID, "I don't have to tell you how it's going to happen. I don't have to give you a single detail. Let me pray this prayer. Lord, open the eyes of my servant that he may see what you're DOING IN THE HEAVENLY REALM." OH, AND I LOVE what the scripture declares in in in 2 Kings 6:17. Says Elisha prayed, said, "Lord, I pray thee open his eyes that he may see." And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, bless his heart, and he saw and behold the mountain was full of God's great army. He looked now towards heaven. And when he began to see in the heavenly places, he saw that it might look really really really bad in the natural, but when I start to see in the supernatural, God is doing things that I can't even comprehend.

I love the psalmist Psalms 121 and 1, I will lift up mine eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord. Oh, well, whoop-de-doo, Basil. We've not seen the Lord do anything in years. God's been dead for a long time. When's the last time you saw somebody get up out of a wheelchair, anyways? When's the last time you saw a miracle, anyways? When's the last time that God did anything for you, anyways? Whoop-de-doo that your help comes from the Lord. So, what are his credentials? I'll tell you. If the Lord don't ever do anything for me, he's the maker of heaven and of earth. And there's not a singular battle that I'm going to face on THIS PLANET THAT GOD DOES NOT HAVE A CONTROL OVER. YOUR help comes from the Lord. And let me tell you what his credentials are.

Everything that you see on this planet, he made it. Everything that you face in this life, he knows about it. And he's NOT SCARED, AND YOUR GOD'S NOT INTIMIDATED BY A SINGLE BATTLE THAT YOU'RE GOING TO FACE. >> >> You know, oh my God, I feel the Holy Ghost. Can we just lift up our hands right now? And can we begin to cry out to God? Hallelujah. LORD, LET OUR EYES BE OPENED IN THIS PLACE. Come on, let's begin to lift our voices. I've got more to preach, but let's let the Holy Ghost just do a WORK RIGHT NOW. GOD, BEGIN TO OPEN UP OUR EYES. OPEN UP THE EYES OF YOUR SERVANTS, HUH. THEY'RE FACING ARMIES, HUH. THEY'RE FACING SHIELDS AND SPEARS AND SWORDS. OPEN UP THEIR EYES RIGHT NOW TO be able to see, huh. Oh my God, that if all these things be be against me, if God be for me, >> >> if God be FOR ME, IF GOD BE FOR ME, WHO CAN BE AGAINST ME?

How do we adequately describe this frail broken human condition? How how how do we put into words and Paul tried. Paul said, I I really do want to do good. But every time I go and I want to do good, I just find that that evil is just it's in me. It's just it's it's present with me. And I've written epistles to the churches of the living God. I've seen him deliver me from shipwreck and from stoning and all of these other things, but the singular thing that I can't seem to get victory over is this old broken condition called my flesh. God, I got something >> >> IT'S IN MY SIDE AND EVERY TIME I'M TRYING TO WALK AND TO DO a work for you, God, it's just it's just there. And God, IF YOU WOULD REMOVE THIS, I COULD WORK so much more effectively for you.

God, think. Think of all the things that we could do together if you would just take this from my side. Three times. And God said, "How about this? >> >> How about I stay in the position of the savior and you stay in the position of someone who needs a savior, and we'll work together. Broken. Frail. I, you know, the woman caught in the act of adultery. Uh I I really do wonder what led her to get to that place. She was just caught in the act of adultery. Was her husband abusive? Did her husband commit adultery on her first? Come on, we're talking about real people that lived real life. She didn't just end up in the act of adultery on a random Tuesday because everything was great and grand in her life. I don't know. Was her childhood jacked up?

I don't know. She was broken. I'm going to tell you what. I can relate. Maybe you can't. I'm telling you I can relate to being broken. And I can relate to being to try to do good, and in the moments I try to do my best, I still fail, AND I STILL FALL SHORT, AND I STILL DON'T MAKE it all the ways that I want to make it, and I'm a preacher of the gospel, and I'm supposed to have all this together, but I don't. So, I understand. I was born into sin. I didn't ask for this condition, and neither did you. WE WERE SHAPING IN INIQUITY. SCRIPTURE SAYS. I DON'T KNOW. BUT, I know this. It says Jesus went to the Mount of Olives in John chapter 8 and verse 1. And early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him, and Jesus sat down.

Oh my god, aren't you thankful for a god that will sit down? Thank you, God. Thank you for sitting down. It would be enough if he sat down. But he also opens up his mouth and he begins to I am the way and the truth and the life. No man can come to the Father except by me. Let me sit down and tell you some truths. If you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Teaches them. And religiosity took this moment of Jesus' vulnerability to advance their agenda. God forbid. Oh my God, I can't even. I rebuke EVERY RELIGIOUS SPIRIT. And Jesus sat down. And so religion took someone that was broken and they sat her down in front of holiness. And they sat her down in front of deity. AND THEY SAT HER DOWN IN FRONT OF THE ONE who could calm the seas. They sat her down to the one that no doubt had told people up to that point, "Go and sin no more."

before he made that command to her. And religion's goal is to cast down and is to get your head down and is to get you looking at the earth. Oh my God, we better pray in these last days that we can sense false teachings and that we can sense false any The Apostle Paul said anything that gets our eyes off of Jesus, we better ask that we can see it. I'm not just talking about a pulpit, I'm talking about anywhere that we read or we absorb, we better ask God, "Keep my mind on you." Because it's Jesus, it's the world, or it's in the between, and that's religion. Hey hey master. They didn't They didn't think he was their master. Bunch of religious hypocrites. >> >> This woman we took her in the act of adultery. So much I want to say there, I'm not.

>> >> Now Moses in the law ooh commanded us that such should be stoned. What do you say? This they said tempting him that they might have to accuse them. Jesus was already sitting down. But when brokenness came before him he stooped down a little bit lower. Cuz he took on the form of a servant. And he didn't want any glory, but he came to redeem. >> >> Broken man. So he was sitting down. But when brokenness came, he said, "Here, let me get down on your level." What a God. Stooped down, begin to write on the ground. He didn't hear them. He didn't want to have to hear anything the religious has to say. Guaranteed way to have the Lord not hear you, be hypocritical, judgemental, and religious. Good luck getting his attention.

Well, they were ignoring him and they weren't used to all that junk. So they just kept on asking. Cuz religion doesn't know when to shut up and sit down. MY GOD, HE'S TRYING TO DO SOMETHING. IN THIS LAST DAY. AND WE CAN'T STAND IN THE WAY OF WHAT HE'S TRYING TO DO. HE STOOPED DOWN. WROTE ON THE GROUND. Now they begin to become convicted in their own conscious. He was writing on the ground and as he was writing on the ground, sins were popping up in their mind. And they became overwhelmed by who they were. Thank you, Jesus. So then Jesus sat down, stooped down, but listen, now he lifted up himself. He going to stand back up. Y'all with me? You got the picture? Sat down, stooped down, now he got back up. He stood up. And Jesus, when he had lifted up himself, this is very important.

And saw none but the woman, he said unto her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers?" What was the position of the woman? They sat her down. And Jesus lifted up himself. And when he began to talk with her, do you know what she would have had to have done? She would have had to look now toward heaven. And he said, "I know that you've lived a life of brokenness, and I know that religion has condemned you, and I know you can't explain how you got there, and I know that you Look, I know that was really humiliating where life took you, and that was really embarrassing for them to bring you out here like that, wasn't it? But look toward heaven, and do you see anybody condemning you? Listen, I didn't come to condemn the world. I came that through me the world would have eternal life."

And I'm here right now in the Holy Ghost to speak to someone who is living in condemnation, and you're tired of yourself, and you're tired of your brokenness and your failures, and there's somewhere along the way you've allowed your brokenness to cause you to start looking Stop looking up towards heaven, and you've allowed the your your mess-ups. You own it, man. It's you. IT'S YOUR FAULT. SO I JUST DON'T WANT TO LOOK UP ANYMORE. I'm tired of disappointing him. I'm tired of making him feel like his work on the cross wasn't good enough. I'm just tired of it. And so, I begin to look down, but hear the voice of the Lord. Look now toward heaven because your redemption draweth nigh. And if you'll begin to look up towards him, you all you're going to find is a hand of mercy and grace.

Reach down and pull you up. I was in prayer one time. I was in prayer. And in the spirit kind of, or maybe in my imagination, like I don't know. Like, you know, it's like what Paul said, like the third heaven, the second heaven. I don't I don't know where I was at. But anyways, I was praying. And I had this thought of me just reaching up towards heaven. You know, like I was standing there and I was stretched as far as I could. >> >> And that was my that's what I saw. And in that that third heaven, second heaven, no man knows. Right, Jared? No man knows. I don't know. Anyway, in that moment all of a sudden, I just saw God stretched out over the floor of heaven and his hands were reaching down as far as they could. And he showed me that he was bringing me up because he has caused us to sit together in heavenly places through Christ Jesus.

And I'm here to tell you, you might be the most broken and messed up person in this room, but that doesn't disqualify you from looking unto the author and the finisher of your faith. He's Jesus for me and he's Jesus FOR YOU. HE'S GOD FOR ME AND HE'S GOD FOR YOU. WOO! OH, GOD. >> >> SHOO, help me, Lord. I A lot of you know, this year's been a hard year. Had a hard year this year. Look, it's been the enemy or it's been the Lord shaping me. It's been the Lord forming me. It's been a really hard year for me this year and I know a lot of you know, y'all you've prayed for me and you've been kind. Uh, it's been hard. And uh, I I'd never want to kind of go through what I've been going through the past 6 months, probably ever again, but man, if I know the Lord, >> [clears throat and cough] >> and uh, I listen, I've uh, >> >> I've never wanted to harm myself.

I've never wanted to hurt myself and I still don't and I never have. That's a statement that's absolute. Do you understand what I'm saying? It's an absolute statement. I've never wanted to harm myself. I've never wanted to hurt myself, okay? But there were some days that I woke up and I did not want to live anymore. And uh, I would try to lift up my eyes towards heaven and the flames wouldn't stop. They just got hotter. And so I'd I'd have to rest my head because I would get tired. And another week would pass by and I'd come to church and I would try I would give it everything that I had and I would try to lift up my eyes towards heaven. But then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday would come. And I got to a place where I could not lift up my head towards heaven anymore.

I had no more strength. I had no more strength. I told the Lord, I said, "God, I've tried everything that I know to do. And I I cannot find the muscles, God, to lift up my eyes towards you anymore, and I'm sorry. The Lord spoke to me. Oh, God. He spoke to me from Psalms 3 verse 3. Can you put it up there? >> >> He said, "Taylor, if you don't have the strength to lift up your head, I'm the lifter up of your head." >> >> He said, "Taylor, if you don't have the strength anymore, I tell you what, >> >> I've got another trick in my toolbox. And if you'll cry, verse 4, unto the Lord, I'll hear you." >> >> And he's the lifter up of my head. >> >> Uh you church people, y'all just have it all together.

You don't know nothing. >> >> Must be nice. Your family must have it all together. You don't know nothing. Stop looking at other people in the natural. You don't know what other people are going through. You haven't the slightest clue, by the way, unless God shows you. But I'm here today to tell you that the Lord spoke to me right over there. He gave me this whole word. Except the part about Jesus in the last days. He spoke that to me last night and I thought it was pretty cool. Jesus said, "Look up." Everything else he told me right over there. >> >> He said, "Taylor, he said, "I want to come to my sheep, to my flock, the sheep of my pasture. And I want to come and I want to pour some anointing oil on their heads.

And I want to lift up their eyes toward heaven again to where they're able to see me in my awesome power, in my splendor, in my wonder. A lot of the times it doesn't make sense, but I promise you this, the steps of righteous men and women, they're ordered by the Lord. And sometimes they're ordered into a pit. And sometimes they're ordered into a palace. And sometimes they're ordered into a crowd that needs to be fed. And you're going to break loaves and you're going to break fishes. But sometimes you're going to be ordered ordered into the wilderness where you're going to be tempted by the enemy. And sometimes, yes, even sometimes you're going to be led to a place of crucifixion where you're going to be humiliated and you're going to be embarrassed and you're going to be naked before God and everybody.

And it's going to hurt and it's going to be painful. But I promise you this, I have been young, I'm still young. I have never ever seen the righteous forsaken. I've never seen it. And I'm going to tell you this, as long as we're able to declare this gospel of Jesus Christ, as long as we're able to call on his name until he raptures this church out of here, this wasn't even in my notes, but when John was on that island and he was all by himself and it was the Lord's day and he heard those trumpets and all of those other things, he said, "I look up and saw heaven coming down." You might be a place where it's deserted and you're lonely and you're broken and you don't know where your next meal is coming from, but there's supernatural wisdom and there's supernatural food and there's supernatural strength that God can bring down.

Everybody lift your hands right now in the name of the Lord Jesus. Lord, we're making the decision to look now unto heaven. Come on, begin to cry out unto the Lord right now. God wants to begin to do a supernatural work all across this house. >> >> Come on, maybe you don't have the strength. Let me tell you something, crying is in order. You can cry unto the Lord and he will hear you out of his holy hill. I'm not intimidated. Come on, I know God wants to do something. You can get as quiet or as loud as you want. We're just going to let the Holy Ghost do what the Holy Ghost wants to do. I believe in the supernatural hand of God. I know what a still small voice sounds like. Come on. Cast it all aside. What's been keeping your head from lifting up towards heaven?

Today's the last day. Today hell's had its final word. I'm not listening to you, Mr. Accuser of the brethren. If you say I'm not going to be healed, I declare that Jesus is my healer. If you say I can't pay my bills, you've come TOO LATE. I KNOW A JEHOVAH JIREH THAT WHEN I'M WALKING UP THE MOUNTAIN, HE'S GOT PROVISION. COME ON, LET'S FLOOD THIS ALTAR RIGHT NOW.
